Abstract:A multi-feature fusion based method was presented for water hazard detection.Non-reflection water regions were acquired by the brightness and texture based image segmentation.Reflection water regions were acquired by a new stereo vision based method using height and distance information.Then all the features were fused together and the accurate water regions can be detected successfully.Experimental results show that the method has good performance in water detection in complex outdoor environment,especially when there are reflections in the water.The method is simple,practical and easy to real-time application.

Abstract:Water environment pollution is an acute problem, especially in developing countries, so water quality monitoring is crucial for water protection. This paper presents an intelligent three-dimensional wide-area water quality monitoring and online analysis system. The proposed system is composed of an automatic cruise intelligent unmanned surface vehicle (USV), a water quality monitoring system (WQMS), and a water quality analysis algorithm. An automatic positioning cruising system is constructed for the USV. The WQMS consists of a series of low-power water quality detecting sensors and a lifting device that can collect the water quality monitoring data at different water depths. These data are analyzed by the proposed water quality analysis algorithm based on the ensemble learning method to estimate the water quality level. Then, a real experiment is conducted in a lake to verify the feasibility of the proposed design. The experimental results obtained in real application demonstrate good performance and feasibility of the proposed monitoring system.

Abstract:Rapid detection of anomalous water quality within a water quality early warning system is desirable for the protection of drinking water against both accidental and malevolent contamination events.Using existing data from in-situ water quality sensors,a multi-parameters fusion algorithm was presented based on AR model and fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm(FCM).AR model uses previous observations of the water quality to predict future water quality values.Then prediction deviations can be caculated and classificated into two clusters within FCM.To discriminate between normal and anomalous water quality,the distance between a new prediction deviation and the anomalous cluster center was calculated and compared to a constant threshold.Results show that this fusion algorithm produces the lowest false alarm rate(FAR) and highest positive detection(PD) for all cases of simulated event strength,which has better performance than single-parameter algorithm,multi-dimension algorithms fused water quality data directly and multi-dimension Euclidean distance algorithm fused predictive residuals.

Abstract:Rapid and accurate detection of water quality is essential for environmental monitoring and management. Among them, permanganate index (CODMn), nitrate–nitrogen (NO3−-N), dissolvable inorganic phosphorus (DIP), and ammonia nitrogen (AN) are four important water quality indicators. A portable multichannel electrochemical device (MCED) combined with a sensor array composed of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), silver nanodendritic structures (AgNDs), and reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-modified screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) was applied for facile, rapid on-site inspection. The sensor array exhibits good complementarity in voltammetric measurements of water quality indicators and has cross-sensitivity in multiplex measurement. A multiple fully connected shared convolution (MFCSC) model was constructed to process the voltammetric data, extracting unique features to resolve the overlap in voltammetric data of complex solutions for the quantitative determination of target analytes. Accurate predictions were successfully achieved for the four parameters, CODMn, NO3−-N, DIP, and AN in the mixture, where CODMn, NO3−-N, and AN have high coefficients of determination ( ${R} ^{{2}}$ ) and low mean absolute percentage errors (MAPE%). Using the migration ability of MFCSC, combined with MCED, it is further applied for real water sample testing, which proves the good prediction of the water quality indicators of real water samples in complex matrices. The results show that the sensing system developed in this work has wide application potential and can be used to rapidly analyze surface water quality and obtain water quality information in a wide range of water bodies for monitoring.

Abstract:In this paper, the application of hierarchical wireless sensor networks in water quality monitoring is investigated. Adopting a hierarchical structure, the set of sensors is divided into multiple clusters where the value of the sensing parameter is almost constant in each cluster. The members of each cluster transmit their sensing information to the local fusion center (LFC) of their corresponding cluster, where using some fusion rule, the received information is combined, and then possibly sent to a higher-level central fusion center (CFC). A two-phase processing scheme is also envisioned, in which the first phase is dedicated to detection in the LFC, and the second phase is dedicated to estimation in both the LFC and the CFC. The focus of the present paper is on the problem of decision fusion at the LFC: we propose hard- and soft-decision maximum a posteriori (MAP) algorithms, which exhibit flexibility in minimizing the total cost imposed by incorrect detections in the first phase. The proposed algorithms are simulated and compared with conventional fusion techniques. It is shown that the proposed techniques result in lower cost. Furthermore, when the number of sensors or the amount of contamination increases, the performance gap between the proposed algorithms and the existing methods also widens.

Abstract:Since the data collected by a single sensor often cannot meet the needs and is far from forming a comprehensive and complete perceptual description of complex systems, multi-sensor data fusion technology is required to comprehensively process the data and obtain more accurate results. The application of Kalman filter to multi-sensor data fusion has become a hot topic in recent years, but when the noise matrix design of Kalman filter is unreasonable, filtering divergence is prone to occur, so an adaptive Kalman filter algorithm is proposed, which uses correction coefficients to correct the filtering process by obtaining the dynamic change of the residual in real time. The anti-collision system of ship unloader is used as the application background to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm improves the estimation accuracy and reduces noise interference in the actual environment.

Abstract:With the development of science and technology, a variety of electronic devices have entered our lives, making our lives more intelligent and making our work more effective. This article is aimed at studying the application of multisensor data fusion technology to the water dragon boat training monitoring system. In that case, we can analyze the various physical indicators of dragon boat athletes based on the data reflected by these sensors, when they can reach their physical limits and can perform in the best state to obtain the best results. The sensor is used to decompose the relevant data of each part of the athlete’s limbs. This step is based on the image and understands the maximum value of the data to adjust the training goal. This article proposes some data fusion algorithms, using Kalman filter method, Bayesian estimation method, and DS evidence theory algorithm to compare data fusion systems, through the comparison to find the best fusion accuracy, and then get the most suitable method is then applied to this water dragon boat monitoring system to enhance the training efficiency of dragon boat athletes. The experimental results in this paper show that when the value of the parameter increases from 0.97 to 2.5, the average classification accuracy of the k -NN classifier decreases from 0.97 to 0.4, and the accuracy of the fusion results of the three fusion rules is also reduced correspondingly, but in this paper proposed, RP fusion rule still has better performance than the other two fusion rules. When the classifier is k -NN, the three fusion rules increase with the number of sensors, and the accuracy of the fusion results is correspondingly improved. However, the final fusion accuracy obtained by the RP fusion rule proposed in this paper is always better than NB integration rules, and WMV integration rules are higher. Through these analyses, a training program that is most suitable for dragon boat athletes can be worked out, so that the athletes will not be useless. Multisensor data fusion technology brings great convenience to water dragon boat training and can provide more reasonable and accurate data to explore a practical way on the basis of ensuring the safety of personnel.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a multi-sensors data fusion method for target tracking. This approach uses local estimates of the object positions, then the estimates are sent to a central node, where the fusion is done. To achieve a globally optimized performance, these estimates are obtained by the neural network filters using a constant velocity motion model of the target. The coefficients of the filter are estimated by a neural network, then the estimated positions of the target are obtained. Simulation results in three sensors data tracking fusion system are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:In order to realize the ubiquitous perception of urban traffic system integration, a universal technology architecture supporting multiple heterogeneous access, universalization and tailoring is needed to realize the interconnection and interoperability of perception systems in different application scenarios. Based on the analysis of typical application scenarios in traffic field and the performance characteristics of wireless and wired sensor networks, a method of bandwidth allocation for network resources in urban traffic application environment is proposed in this paper, especially in the scenario of high-speed train movement, in order to improve the transmission efficiency of wireless sensor networks. An information matching method for sensor networks is proposed. The correlation among multi-sensors is used to fuse the monitoring information in the coverage area of the sensing system, which is helpful to improve the resolution and accuracy of the system. The theory is applied to vehicle type recognition in traffic flow detection. The simulation results show that the proposed data fusion scheme has obvious advantages over the similar LEACH protocol in terms of energy consumption and fusion accuracy of common nodes.

Abstract:This study proposes a data-driven statistical model using multi sensor fusion and Kalman filtering for real-time water quality assessment in lakes. A recursive estimation technique, the Kalman Filter, is employed to handle uncertainties and enhance computational efficiency. The fusion process integrates data from sensors monitoring parameters like chlorophyll concentration, surface water elevation, temperature, and precipitation, producing Markov features to capture temporal transitions and environmental dynamics. Data synchronization and fusion are achieved through recursive KF methods, enabling real-time adaptive management in response to environmental fluctuations such as seasonal changes, precipitation (6–18%), and evaporation rates (1.2–11.9 mm/day). Over a 30-day evaluation period, the model accurately predicted chlorophyll concentrations, reaching 128 in mid-level inflow regions (3.6 m water elevation) compared to 86 in extreme inflow areas (5.5 m). The integration of Markov feature extraction and eigenvalue estimation enhanced prediction stability and sensitivity, with the KF maintaining computational efficiency at 7.8 ms per computation cycle. The model's accuracy was validated by achieving a residual error of less than 0.05 with minimal noise interference. Overall, the system provides a resilient and precise framework for real-time lake water quality assessment, capable of handling multi-parameter uncertainties and dynamic environmental changes, thereby supporting informed decision-making for aquatic ecosystem management.

Abstract:This thesis suggests a kind of monitoring plan with multi-measure points and multi-sensors that can be applied to the detection of the animal building environment which is multivariable coupling.This method combines optimal weighting algorithm and D-S(Dempster-Shafer) Theory algorithm to fuse different sensors data in order to make an accurate judgment on the animal building environment.Thus,it enhances the robustness of environmental monitoring and control system.The experimental result shows that this method improves the reliability and accuracy of the animal building's environmental monitoring system.

Abstract:With the help of statistical technology and artificial intelligence algorithms, online water quality monitoring and detecting have significant importance to national water security. This paper proposed amulti-scale and multivariate water quality event detection approach for detecting accidental or intentional water contamination events. The approach is based on the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD), which is a novel algorithm for the analysis of nonstationary and nonlinear data of the type used in this paper. With EEMD as a dyadic filter bank, original water quality time series are decomposed into a sequence of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). The local time scale is an important feature for statistical analysis and multi-scale representation. In this paper, the fluctuation characteristic for newly available measurements is estimated dynamically, and the corresponding membership degree to the constructed time scale reference which depends on offline long-term normal data analysis is calculated with Gaussian fuzzy logic. Taking the various membership as weight values, the anomalous signal can be enhanced and sifted out by the selection and reconstruction of sensitive time scales. Compared with traditional water quality detection methods with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, the proposed multi-scale method can improve the detection accuracy and reduce the false rate.

Abstract:Efficient and accurate water quality monitoring is of great significance to the development of marine resources,and autonomous underwater vehicle（AUV） has broad application prospects in marine environmental monitoring. There are problems such as low efficiency, poor reliability, insufficient coverage and poor positioning accuracy when a single AUV performs water quality sampling tasks for ocean scalar field estimation. The multi-AUV-based cooperative localization and adaptive sampling system was proposed. Each AUV in the system broadcasted the collected sampling data to its teammates, and based on the data received, it corrected the location of itself based on the extended Kalman filter. With the collected sampling data, the AUV modeled the environmental scalar field with a Gaussian process and used a differential evolution path planner to plan its subsequent sampling path online. Simulation results showed that the proposed method effectively reduced the positioning error of AUVs, and improved the estimation accuracy of the environmental scalar field.

Abstract:In order to save system energy, enhance data-gathering accuracy and improve data-gathering efficiency in the temperature and humidity monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks, Multi-temperature and Humidity Data Fusion Algorithm based on Kalman Filter (MHDFA-KF) is proposed. In temperature and humidity sensor nodes, measured data are gathered and sent to sink node. In sink nodes, weighted fusion algorithm is used to fuse the received data and the fused data are sent to base station. In base station, Kalman filtering algorithm is used to filter the received data from sink nodes or sensor nodes. The time update equations and measurement update equations are used to iteratively calculate state variables and error covariance. Finally, the true value of temperature and humidity is obtained. The experimental results show that MHDFA-KF algorithm filters the data Gaussian noise, reduces the data measured error and obtain the true value. Under certain conditions, MHDFA-KF algorithm can be applied in temperature and humidity monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks. It has certain value.

Abstract:When considering the working conditions under which an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) operates, the navigational sensors, which already have inherent uncertainties, are subjected to environment influences that can affect the accuracy, security and reliability of USV navigation. To combat this, multi-sensor data fusion algorithms will be developed in this paper to deal with the raw sensor measurements from three kinds of commonly used sensors and calculate improved navigational data for USV operation in a practical environment. Unscented Kalman Filter, as an advanced filtering technology dedicated to dealing with non-linear systems, has been adopted as the underlying algorithm with the performance validated within various computer-based simulations where practical, dynamic navigational influences, such as ocean currents, provide force against the vessel’s structure, are to be considered.

Abstract:Using the idea of multiscale analysis and by combining the model-based analysis method for dynamic systems with the multiscale signal transformation method,we put forward a new algorithm of multiscale distributed information fusion estimation.For multi-model dynamic systems having different description for target state at different scales, at the finest scale we can obtain the optimal fusion estimates based on global information,which give a primary solution to the information fusion estimation of multiscale dynamic systems.This work enriches and develops the information fusion theory.

Abstract:Accurate attitude information is essential and crucial for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) to achieve the purpose of precise control. However, there is an error between the measured value and the real value due to the influence of noise on sensor data acquisition. To obtain high-precision attitude information, this paper presents a data fusion method using adaptive Kalman filter to fuse data of multi-sensor which is integrated gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer. An adaptive fuzzy logic system (AFLS) is utilized to improve the fusion accuracy in the state estimation. The stability, static accuracy and dynamic tracking of the adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm are tested and analyzed through experiments. The experimental results show that the improved covariance adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm can fuse the measured values of the three sensors in attitude detection system effectively, and significantly suppress the angle drift caused by the accumulated error of the gyroscope and the influence of other noises in Multi-Sensor attitude determination system.
