Abstract:The recent progress of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method for coating is reviewed and the processing techniques, characteristics evaluation and applications are introduced. Moreover, the advantages and shortcomings of SHS coating are analyzed and the main problems are put forward according to its applications. The developing tendency is expected in this article.
