A Preliminary Study of University Education from the Perspective of Ecological Civilization

Abstract:Ecological civilization is the civilization of contemporary society.It,as a brand new form of social civilization,has completely abandoned the old view of human-centered civilization,but advocates an outlook on development that restricts and controls man's behavior and deals with the relationship between human beings and nature with a long-term vision,integrating the humankind and its living environment with the social development.Ecological civilization education in the colleges and universities should,in theory,require the college students to establish the moral obligation of caring for nature,build up the generational consciousness of caring for the future and develop the concept of ecological consumption.And in practice,it should reform the contents of education,integrating the ecological education into the course system,constructing the ecological education environment on campus and in the society and organizing actively and effectively the activities of ecological culture,so that college students will fully understand the ecological civilization education and improve their ecological civilization quality.
