Abstract:To explore an integration teaching method, idea and pattern in clinical medicine and basic medicine. Conventional teaching methods or patterns, to some extent, restrict the development of modern medical education. And the relatively separated and independent teach in clinical medicine and basic medicine restrain students from well developing. In this study, case-based integration teaching (CBIT) patterns were applied instead of conventional patterns. The CBIT patterns include: case-question-discussion; ideas of diagnosis and treatment; multimedia-aided and bilingual teaching and cultivation of innovation ability. The result shows that the satisfaction rate is 100% in CBIT class, and the rates of interest, understanding memory ability, enlightenment of diagnosis thinking and innovation of scientific research in CBIT class are significantly higher than those in conventional class. Similarly results are founded when we applied CBIT in pathology teaching. On the base of this, we should explore a new model of teaching which combines clinical medicine with basic medicine as an integrated pattern.

Abstract:Abstract Background: Medicinal chemistry is one of the most important professional courses for undergraduate pharmacy students. It plays an essential role in the cultivation of innovative pharmaceutical talents, especially for drug discovery and development. Methods: We present here a new teaching system that integrates a cloud-based teaching platform, as well as applying an interspersed online and offline teaching strategy in an undergraduate medicinal chemistry course. Results: The innovative teaching mode increases undergraduates' interest and understanding of medicinal chemistry topics as well as the frontiers and technologies in new drug discovery. Furthermore, it promotes effective communication between teachers and students resulting in increased research interest and innovation skills of undergraduates.

Abstract:As a part of the medicinal chemistry experimental teaching reform, the synthesis of phenytoin sodium was improved by using atoxic and environment-friend agent ferric chloride to take the place of nitric acid to avoid releasing toxic nitric oxide and causing environment pollution. This is successfully performed by instructing students to read references, give suggestions and design the experiment rationally without increasing the experiment time.

Abstract:Organic Chemistry is an important foundational course for all majors of traditional Chinese medicine. However, due to the high threshold for the introduction of this course and the characteristics of the learning situation in the ethnic minority areas of Southwest China, the teaching effectiveness of this course in all majors of traditional Chinese medicine in our school is unsatisfactory. Therefore, the teaching team conducted research and found that the key and pain point of teaching Organic Chemistry in our school's majors of traditional Chinese medicine is how to learn more difficult content in less teaching time. The key to solving this problem lies in adopting what kind of "lively and interesting" teaching method to transmit "highlighted content" in less teaching time. Based on this, the teaching team has carried out reforms in three aspects: "humanization of teaching presentations", "case-based teaching design" and "digitalization of teaching resources" for Organic Chemistry, which have achieved significant results. However, more precise and personalized teaching methods are still the direction for the next reform.

Abstract:To improve students' innovation and practice abilities in computer aided drug design,multiple modern techniques,including multimedia,digital video frequency,molecular modeling and screen recording software,etc.,were utilized in the reform of the teaching methods.The results of a questionnaire survey conducted on the effects of this reform showed that the students' interest had greatly aroused,as well as the teaching effect greatly improved due to the more visualized contents brought by modern techniques.

Abstract:Directing at the cultivating aims of the students in major of basic medical science,the article expounds some instruction innovations in teaching pharmacology.We introduce some social practical problems and some research fields which evolve rapidly to the teaching class by compiling the teaching materials,conducting lectures and giving discussion lessons.In addition,we incorporate the cultivation of students' capability of doing scientific research to the teaching work through guiding them how to read references,directing them to finish independently the project of experiment designed by themselves and operating group activities instructed by their supervisors in the department of pharmacology.

Abstract:In the recent two decades, the multidisciplinary field of medicinal chemistry has undergone several conceptual and technology-driven paradigm changes with significant impact on the skill set medicinal chemists need to acquire during their education. Considering the need for academic medicinal chemistry teaching, this article aims at identifying important skills, competences, and basic knowledge as general learning outcomes based on an analysis of the relevant stakeholders and concludes effective teaching strategies preparing students for a future career as medicinal chemists and drug designers.

Applying Situational Teaching Method to Basic Organic Chemistry Experiment Course

Abstract:Facing the problems in college students' innovative ability training in the basic organic chemistry experiment course,this research,first of all,pointed out the problems in traditional teaching method,and analysed the causes of these problems,which mainly include the lack of teaching content design and situational design. Then,situational teaching method was used in the course owing to its methodological advantages. Five specific situational design methods were thus put forward. The application of the teaching design and the teaching effects are illustrated with case studies. With proper application of situational design,students' interests in chemical experiments can be stimulated and their ability of practice and innovation can be cultivated.

Abstract:The objective of this study was to explore the application of blended teaching in medical biochemistry and molecular biology course for clinical medical students. Using the Zhihuishu platform and the Test Database of Chinese Medical Education by People's Medical Publishing House as online educational materials, combined with traditional place-based classroom methods, to explore the transformation of teaching mode which is suitable for medical education and teaching characteristics in the information technology era. It provides experience for the teaching reform of biochemistry and molecular biology course, and will help to improve teaching effect, improve teaching theory and construct new teaching models.
