On the Editing Work of "MEGA2" in Japan

Abstract:Internationalizing of editorial groups is one of the two fundamental principles proposed by IMES (Internationale-Marx-Engels-Stiftung). At present there are 12 editorial groups under IMES’ name respectively in charging of different volumes around the world. Among these editorial groups, our special attentions have been paid to the establishment of Japan MEGA Group in 1998 and its distinctive editing work of some important volumes of "MEGA2". When having won new academic achievements thanks to the new documents of "MEGA2", we need in time to make a brief introduction to the editing work of "MEGA2" in Japan. At least, we should work out: why Japanese scholars could be succeeded in joining in "MEGA2" editorial groups dominated by European editorials for a long time? How many volumes of "MEGA2" have been edited in Japan? What are the editorial characters brought about by Japanese scholars?
