Abstract:The objective of this study is to use advanced electronic and computer technology to design a practical and economical variable rate irrigation control system according to the actual conditions in rural areas of China.The control system integrates singlechip micyoco(SCM) technology,Global Positioning System(GPS) and Geographic Information System(GIS).The main hardware and software components of the system include an AT89C51 single-chip unit as the microprocessor,an IC(Integrated Circuit) card used to transfer GIS information in the unit,and a GPS receiver based on Jupiter GPS OEM developed independently.Meanwhile,a simple and quick data-querying algorithm based on the vector method was put forward and used in the system.The control system received position information from the GPS OEM,recognized the site and determined the vehicle position in the field.Then,the amount of water to be applied was found from a water prescription map on the IC card based on the position data,and the water flow rate was calculated based on vehicle speed and the spray width.Finally,the flow information was converted to an electronic signal to drive a water-regulating valve on an irrigation machine to accomplish variable rate irrigation.The experiment results in field and laboratory showed that there was approximate accuracy for the low cost GPS OEM receiver self-developed compared with Tramble Ag GPS132,and the control system was able to fulfill variable rate irrigation automatically based on a prescription map or to apply a specified amount of water through manual control.

Abstract:The paper develops an autonomous navigation system with Visual C++ 6.0, combining all-terrain and all-weather mobile robot platform with the high-precision dual-frequency RTK-GPS. The intelligent mobile robot achieves autonomous navigation control. Owing to the four-wheel drive, path tracking is better implemented; Owing to the use of high-precision GPS, position locating is more accurate; Owing to the multithreaded design of the program, real-time requirements of the navigation is better achieved; By the way of map matching of GIS, the path tracking is real-time and the navigation of the robot is more visual and intuitive. The result of experiment shows that this navigation system can meet the requirements of accuracy and real-time and complete the navigation task very well.

Abstract:In addition to pocket PC functions,a portable navigation terminal,which also integrate functions of large-sized LCD screens,mobile digital TV,TV recording,GPS positioning and navigation,mobile storage,music and video player,e-books and games,is a multi-media terminal.Current products have the disadvantages of small storage-capacity,slow access-speed,nonsupport high-definition playback and so on, while E-disks have the virtue of larger storage-capacity(larger than 32GB),fast access-speed(read and write speed is faster than 150MB/s) and so on.Portable high-definition navigation terminal based on E-disk, proposed in this paper,combines the advantages of both and overcomes defects of current products.

Abstract:With the development of society, embedded products have been applied in all walks of life. According to the investigation of most embedded Windows CE data acquisition system, data transmission and storage management are not very good. In this paper we show how the USB interface and SQLite can be used to solve these problems. Using USB bus for data transfer, we can realize HID devices loaded dynamically and avoid writing redundant complicated USB drive. Using embedded database SQLite for data storage, the storage structure is more clear and easier to be managed. But Nandflash is limited to the number of reading and writing, so we put forward "two levels storage" concept of data storage structure based on the WinCE file system. Practice has shown that the USB and SQLite technology can be better to solve the data transfer and storage management issues.

Abstract:The system used AT91SAM9260 ARM processor as the controller,and the linux operating system,and Samsung K91G08U0B NandFlash as the torage medium.Through the ET-318 SiRF Star 3 GPS chipset,the system received GPS signals to locate.GPRS modules SIM300C was used to transfer data.The running state and the location of automobile could be monitored and recorded.By GPRS the driving records and current information will be uploaded to the server to achieve remote monitoring.This system also had darm function to reind the overspecd and fatigue driving recorded data could be transferred to computer through USB or RS-232.The practice proved that the device has steady performance and good effect.

Abstract:Considering the deficiency of the presently autonomous vehicle navigation terminal on dynamic updating of map data and reception of real-time traffic information,this paper presents the design options,which is based on the thought of combining the network with the autonomous navigation.It is accomplished by the combo vehicle navigation terminal which is based on GPRS.This paper introduces the structure and principle of S3C44B0X,GPS,General Packet Radio Service(GPRS),electrical source and other major modules,debugs the terminal and optimized the data received by GPS.The design options of hardware,while combining with software,is conducive to achieve the dynamic updating of map data,and the dynamic navigation which is based on the real-time traffic information.

Abstract:The advent of the new era has promoted the rapid rise of technology. It drives the rapid development of the well-off economy. The car sales rate has also skyrocketed, but due to the frequent occurrence of various traffic accidents, it has become a difficult problem for relevant personnel to find the cause of the accident and driving. The arrival of the recorder is able not only to record the problems of traffic accidents but also to monitor the drivers as a basis for judging traffic violations. Based on the investigation and research on the current car driving recorders on the market, all the driving recorders on the market have relatively simple system structures and functions, and the transmission of communication information is slow. The SD card emphasizes the security of data and can set the stored usage rights to prevent the data from being copied by others, and the transmission speed is fast. Based on the problems described above, the design of the system program of the car driving recorder based on the reading function of the ferroelectric memory and the combination of the small size and large storage capacity of the SD card chip is proposed, and the combination of GPS positioning is added, to improve the accuracy of the positioning function. In order to obtain a more practical car driving recorder, the experimental results show that when the distance of each observation location is less than 0.45 m, its average accuracy factor is also less than 0.45 m, which can meet the requirements of the system for accuracy performance, that is to say, it can be shown under the accuracy analysis. The research and design system has a certain degree of practicability, and the stability function is very good.

Abstract:Based on ARM,multifuncttion GPS/GPRS automobile security system was designed,which focused on security and detectiong. The system combines with detection technology, sensor technology, GPS technology, GPRS technology and digital filtering technology. This system was discussed from software and hardware. Related math model was established. Corresponding test was been brought forward to improve system reliability. Average filtering method and median filtering algorithm have been used to inhibiting interference signals with variety of frequency in software. In this paper,the advantages of this system have been discussed. The embeded system realizes the function with characteristics of low cost, high performance, real-time and reliability,it has high practical value.

Abstract:Mobile navigation system based on handheld device can not only provide basic GIS services, but also enable these GIS services to be provided without location limit, to be more instantly interacted between users and devices. However, we still see that most navigation systems have common defects on user experience like limited map format, few map resources, and unable location share. To overcome the above defects, we propose DIY-style GIS service which provide users a more free software environment and allow uses to customize their GIS services. These services include defining geographical coordinate system of maps which helps to hugely enlarge the map source, editing vector feature, related property information and hotlink images, customizing covered area of download map via General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), and sharing users' location information via SMS (Short Message Service) which establishes the communication between users who needs GIS services. The paper introduces the integration of web and wireless GIS service in a mobile navigation system and presents an implementation sample of a DIY-Style GIS service in a mobile navigation system.

Abstract:This paper introduces a new conceptual design of Intelligent Memory Card (IMC), which can access wireless network and acquire related location information, so as to enjoy LBS (Local Based Service) conveniently. In addition, IMC is platform-independent and can be used in any mobile device with memory card slot. Then we implement that IMC design on an SD card and use it to realize one kind of application of LBS- "Guide for Strangers" System. Finally, based on the application, we basically validate the platform-independence of IMC.

Abstract:The design for the circuit of integrated navigation system based on micro inertial measurement unit and GPS is presented.In view of characteristics and requirements of the system,the module of data sampling and processing based on TMS320F2407 and the module of integrated navigation calculating based on TMS320VC33 are designed.A method based on dual-port RAM makes the communication between modules quick and credible.The results show that the design for circuit of integrated navigation satisfies the requirements of the system.The system has advantages of small volume,light weight,low power,low cost and so on.

Abstract:This paper designs a brand-new embedded vehicle navigation and theft security system on the platform of S3C2410 Linux operating system, utilizing various techniques like global positioning system(GPS), global system for mobile communication(GSM), graphical user interface (GUI), multimedia delivery, database, etc. This system not only has location abilities, it can navigate, prevent burglaries, and play videos as well. Software testing demonstrates that the proposed system is able to exhibit good performance in terms of stability and operability.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the GPS-25LP receiver module of Garmin Corporation and its application in portable navigator for automobile .We put forward a design method of GPS portable navigator for automobile using this receiver module and using MCU AT89C51 as the main controller chip, including hardware and software part. Then give the program which receive and handle GPS message. The navigator works well in the lab. It can display the update navigating information speedily and correctly.

Abstract:Using XML web services in embedded system could be able to use the existing geodata and geoprocessing services through wired/wireless network. However, the processing and memory limitations of embedded devices exacerbate the problem in the area of complexity, constraints, and the verbosity of the protocols used in XML web services effect the usability of XML. This paper presents a GPS navigation system, which accesses OGC-compliant geodata and geoprocessing services using gSOAP toolkit. This system composes of hardware platform, embedded operation system and software system. Our experimental result shows gSOAP could provides transparent SOAP API allows embedded system using XML web services. © 2010 IEEE.

Abstract:In order to make the effect of the navigation system based on the digital map more direct-viewing and vivid,and also to enable users more convenient and easier to distinguish objects,this paper proposes a thought of vehicle navigation system based on Geo-video.Its core idea is establishing path Geo-video database,then making a spatial retrieval to the Geo-video database by the location information of the mobile terminals and geographic objects,and transmitting the corresponding video data to the mobile terminals to realize the goal of route and destination indication,which really makes navigation more effective.The paper gives a general design of vehicle navigation system based on Geo-video,and discusses the key technologies.The relevant key technologies can be illustrated as follows:1) building the Geo-video database;2) retrieving the video frame with the GPS information;3) recognizing the target geographic object's relative location in the video frame images.A prototype of Geo-video based navigation system is developed under Microsoft Visual C#.NET platform.This paper focuses on analyzing Geo-video's basic principles and key technologies,so it has a long way to apply them into real products because of following reasons:1) It is too expensive to build the Geo-video database.2) Mobile terminal's limited resource and low transmitting speed of current wireless network make it difficult to apply the basic principles into real products.So the related research can be continued as follows:1) improving the methods of capturing Geo-video data;2) making a thorough use of the road monitoring video data;3) improving the compression,transmitting and storage technologies of video data transmitted through the wireless network;4) methods of applying the Geo-video technologies into the digital map based on navigation system.

Abstract:FCD-based dynamic traffic navigation system, which takes effective traffic management methods, is more and more popular in the world. This paper analyses techniques of a FCD-based dynamic traffic navigation system and presents the framework of the system. Then, the paper introduces its implementation. After that the prototype system is tested and found that the system can handle the large-scale floating car data quickly and effectively, and responds well to real-time traffic information.

Abstract:Two kinds of GPS and GLONASS of global satellite navigationsystems in actual existence are combined by means of advanced integrated navigation technologies, on this wise every several superiority of GPS and GLONASS could be put into effect and relatively complemented. Because integrated GPS/GLONASS location and navigation adopt advanced integrated technologies and make full use of GLONASS without SA, high and good reliability and precision positioning services are supplied so as to increase the number of visible satellites and select satellites of bigger height angle anywhere. So geometrical location allocation would be improved and system reliability would be enhanced. GPS/GLONASS Integrated navigation and location technologies are applied to vehicular location and navigation in ITS，all-direction, 24 hours standby and multi-satellite vehicular location service can be dispensed and reliable technology guarantee can be laid hold on in order to realize'automation' of transportation management and 'intelligence' of vehicular driving by force of integrated location and navigation technologies. The introduction of integrated location and navigation technologies into vehicular navigation has better practicing value and wide prospect.

Abstract:With the popularity of GPS terminals,corresponding operating systems are emerging consecutively.However,existing GPS operating systems have the disadvantage of high investment,being prone to specialities and lack of deepening applications.To address the above problems,in this paper a new generation operating system of satellite navigation is constructed,which is based on open technology and open source software and can be easily integrated with enterprises' existing systems.Apart from providing functions such as location monitoring, trajectories display-back,layers and POI-points editing and spatial text retrieval,etc.,the system also solves core technical issues in GPS operating system such as terminal displaying performance,scalability of monitoring systems,etc.Generally speaking,the system will effectively lower the bottom of cost and technology for corporate customers to use GPS navigation and monitoring services.
