Abstract:Regional inequality is one of the major subjects of research on China, and is a major concern to the Chinese government.The paper introduces different theories and division ways of development phases of regional economy,and establishes the evaluation index system of regional economy development.The authors produce their points of development phases of regional economy.Talking Chongzuo city in Guangxi,Chuzhou city in Anhui,Nantong city in Jiangsu for instances, the authors analyses the characteristic of the development phases of contemporary region from industry structure,space structure and developing standard of economy.As one of the developing areas in West China,the economic development in Chongzuo city still belongs to the initial stage of industrialization.Chuzhou city is located at the middle east of China and lies in the middle zone among the country's three big zones of the eastern zone,middle zone and western zone.The economic development in Chuzhou city belongs to the advanced stage of industrialization.As one of the developing areas in East China,and the economic development in Nantong city belongs to the comprehensive industrialization.With the results of the synthetical evalution for the regional economy development of study area compared,this paper makes some suggestions for Chongzuo city,Chuzhou city and Nantong city to advance the development of its regional economy,society and environment.
