Abstract:The p53 gene is a tumor suppressor gene that inhibits tumor formation by blocking the cell cycle,inducing the apoptosis in aging cells and repairing the damaged DNA.But the mutants of p53 has opposite functions,and is considered to be the key to promote nuclear reprogramming.It has shown that p53 plays an important role in the process of dedifferentiation.There being high degree of similarity between the formation of tumor and cell reprogramming,it makes certain significance to explore the relationship between p53 and iPSC and tumor formation.
