Abstract:Grassroots healthcare institutions (GHIs) are the smallest administrative levels of medical institutions, where most patients access health services. The latest report from the National Bureau of Statistics of China showed that 96.04 % of 950,297 medical institutions in China were at the grassroots level in 2012, including county-level hospitals, township central hospitals, community health service centers, and rural clinics. In developing countries, these institutions are facing challenges involving a shortage of funds and talent, inconsistent medical standards, inefficient information sharing, and difficulties in management during the adoption of health information technologies (HIT). Because of the necessity and gravity for GHIs, our aim is to provide hospital information services for GHIs using Cloud computing technologies and service modes. In this medical scenario, the computing resources are pooled by means of a Cloud-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to serve multiple GHIs, with different hospital information systems dynamically assigned and reassigned according to demand. This paper is concerned with establishing a Cloud-based Hospital Information Service Center to provide hospital information software as a service (HI-SaaS) with the aim of providing GHIs with an attractive and high-performance medical information service. Compared with individually establishing all hospital information systems, this approach is more cost-effective and affordable for GHIs and does not compromise HIT performance.

Abstract:In order to improve the hospital medical service level, and to improve patient satisfaction, through the informationization method, our hospital has been the first one to build the "self-service integration service" platform in the city. In this study, the procedure of hospitalization registration was optimized, the electronic inpatient registration form was designed, the patient information was collected, and the prepayment of hospitalization was automatically generated. Then the "in-hospital self-service integration service" platform construction was completed. The platform can improve patient satisfaction and improve doctor-patient relationship.

Abstract:Objective Basing on functional requirements of military hospital apartment management and distribution system analyzing,to design an apartment management and distribution system for more accurate and efficient information management of hospital logistics,in order to reduce traditionally experience-based manual management and improve the unbalance between hardware and software development during the informationization process.Methods The system was designed using SQL database as backend system and PowerBuilder data application system as the front-end development tool.Results Using the system,the information of camp location,buildings,apartments and living situation could be tracked,queried,modified and deleted in real-time by the managers.Conclusions By using of the system,the management and allocation of apartments in the military hospital camp are improved effectively,which upgrad the management of hospital camp property.The system is easy to operate and should be used widely.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2011,32(3):38-40,42]
Utilization of One-stop Self-service Machine in Outpatient of Comprehensive Hospitals

Abstract:Basing on "people oriented" service concept,Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital investigated and studied the current situation of self-service system in large-scale hospitals,jointly developed outpatient "one-stop self-service machine" with China Construction Band and the third party payment platform and Integrated inquiry,appointment making,registration,payment,refunding,report printing and other functions as a whole.The outpatient process was optimized and reconstructed.Since the operation a year ago,the whole process of self-service machine can be completed within average 32 seconds and the waiting time has been shortened to 41 seconds,which,to a great degree,alleviated the phenomena of "three longs and one short".Considerable improvement in service quality and work efficiency was obtained and the overall satisfaction degree of 94.7% from patients in the outpatient was achieved.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the financial, human resources, and material resources in the hospital as well as several known methods that have been used to construct the hospital resource planning system, so as to help hospitals better implement the "personnel-ifnancial-material" management mode, which is characterized by scientiifc, standardization, reifnement, sustainable development and strategic transformation. The article aims to establish a set of resource management platform with the advantage of high-efifciency, connectivity and information sharing.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the running status of one-stop service system and explore its future development through the investigation on current situation of outpatient self-service system use in some Shanghai hospitals. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted. Person-times of manual hospital registration,manual report taking,self-help registration,self-help fee confirmation and self-help printing report were counted. The manual and self-help status among hospitals and within one hospital were compared through horizontal and vertical comparison. Results:The proportion of self-help service system and manual service were relatively more balanced in two tertiary level A hospitals that cooperate with a Shanghai bank. Conclusion:It is suggested that one-stop service system be service-oriented. Centralization of hospital management and improvement of service system are also suggested.

Abstract:Objective Establish an outpatient booking system satisfaction evaluation index based on the different booking patterns as to provide a set of tool to measure and help to improve medical services.Methods Use the theoretical studies and empirical analyses of integrating research methods.Results The index system and investigation paper was provided.Conclusions According to the inspection and effectiveness test result,the index system of outpatient booking system satisfaction evaluation is reliable and valid.The tools proviede in this research are simple and practical to help.

Abstract:By introducing the Internet of Things technologies ,all medical information could be easily exchanged and shared among various kinds of information systems .It enables constant technical innovations in healthcare industry ,further improving medical services offered .However ,it is a great distance between the current healthcare service level in China and the perspective proposed by the “Smarter Healthcare” .Although there has been a very good progress in this country's medi-cal informatization with the spread of the government's new medical reform policies ,medical resources non - uniformly dis-tributed and “information isolated island” in the industry still prevails .This paper described and analyzed the existing prob-lems in hospital information systems .To resolve those problems ,we proposed to build a hospital information integration platform based on interconnection and Intelligentization .Five important design considerations ,i .e .,the standard establish-ment ,the model definition ,the datacenter planning ,the integration of data and the support of openness ,were listed and an overall platform design was presented .

Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of out-patient informationization and the SAFE-CARE system in raising the level of outpatient quality service.Methods Summarizing experiences of out-patient informationization construction and the SAFE-CARE system to improve the level of outpatient medical service during the past year.Results Out-patient informationization has provided an efficient operational tool to improve the treatment efficiency;the SAFE-CAREsystem has guaranteed medical safety and quality,and enhanced the level of hospital management.Conclusion Combined application of out-patient informationization and the SAFE-CARE system is an important measure to alleviate the difficulties of the masses medical treatment,and is suitable for promotion and application at all levels of hospitals.
