Abstract:A problem of robust decentralized control was investigated for a class of uncertain interconnected system. The systems under consideration were described by a continuous-time uncertain model with state time-varying delay. The uncertainties of the system are unknown but norm-bounded. A type of memoryless linear decentralized controller was developed, this controller renders the closed-loop system asymptotically stable. A sufficient condition for the robust state feedback stabilizability of the system was derived based on Riccati matrix equation approach and the robust stabilizing controller can be constructed by solving a set of algebraic Riccati matrix equation. As the proposed state feedback controllers are completely independent of the time delay (which is only assumed to be any nonnegative bounded and continuous function), the obtained results are applicable to dynamical systems without exact knowledge of the delays, i.e. systems with perturbed delays. A numerical example was presented to prove that the method is very effective.
