Abstract:Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a powerful tool for analyzing electrochemical systems, but its widespread adoption is hindered by complex modeling and interpretation requirements. This article overviews the distribution of relaxation times (DRT) method, a non-parametric approach. By surveying active DRT users, we identify a pressing need for standardized practices and automated tools to improve usability and interpretability. These proposed enhancements have the potential to expand DRT usage, establishing it as a standard approach for EIS analysis.
