Abstract:The goal of this article is to generalize the theory of Hopf-Ore extensions on Hopf algebras to multiplier Hopf algebras. First the concept of a Hopf-Ore extension of a multiplier Hopf algebra is introduced. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for Ore extensions to become a multiplier Hopf algebra. Finally, *-structures are constructed on Hopf-Ore extensions, and certain isomorphisms between Hopf-Ore extensions are discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, we have interested on the Dunkl–Weinstein multiplier operators on the Dunkl–Weinstein-type Paley–Wiener space . We give for these operators an application to the reproducing kernel theory; and we deduce for them best approximation on the Paley–Wiener space . Finally, we give two applications in two particular cases, the first is a Weinstein case , and the second is the Dunkl case when . More precisely, we write the solution of the Tikhonov regularization problem in these cases as a convolution product of two functions.

Abstract:Using real-variable methods, we characterise multipliers for general classes of Hardy--Orlicz spaces, unifying and extending several classical results due to Hardy and Littlewood; Duren and Shields; Paley; and others. Applications of our results include inequalities involving Fourier coefficients and Fourier transforms of elements of Hardy--Orlicz spaces and their duals, as well as embeddings into spaces of generalised smoothness, Sobolev type-embeddings and Paley-Wiener type theorems.

Abstract:To every non-extreme point $b$ of the unit ball of $\hil^\infty$ of the unit disk there corresponds a Pythagorean mate, a bounded outer function $a$ satisfying the equation $|a|^2 + |b|^2 = 1$ on the boundary of the disk. We study universal, i.e., simultaneous multipliers for families of de Branges-Rovnyak spaces $\hb$, and develop a general framework for this purpose. Our main results include a new proof of the Davis-McCarthy universal multiplier theorem for the class of all non-extreme spaces $\hb$, a characterization of the Lipschitz classes as the universal multipliers for spaces $\hb$ for which the quotient $b/a$ is contained in a Hardy space, and a similar characterization of the Gevrey classes as the universal multipliers for spaces $\hb$ for which $b/a$ is contained in a Privalov class.

Abstract:Motivated by the theory of weighted shifts on directed trees and its multivariable counterpart, we address the question of identifying commutant and reflexivity of the multiplication $d$-tuple $\mathscr M_z$ on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space $\mathscr H$ of $E$-valued holomorphic functions on $\Omega$, where $E$ is a separable Hilbert space and $\Omega$ is a bounded domain in $\mathbb C^d$ admitting bounded approximation by polynomials. In case $E$ is a finite dimensional cyclic subspace for $\mathscr M_z$, under some natural conditions on the $B(E)$-valued kernel associated with $\mathscr H$, the commutant of $\mathscr M_z$ is shown to be the algebra $H^{\infty}_{_{B(E)}}(\Omega)$ of bounded holomorphic $B(E)$-valued functions on $\Omega$, provided $\mathscr M_z$ satisfies the matrix-valued von Neumann's inequality. This generalizes a classical result of Shields and Wallen (the case of $\dim E=1$ and $d=1$). As an application, we determine the commutant of a Bergman shift on a leafless, locally finite, rooted directed tree $\mathscr T$ of finite branching index. As the second main result of this paper, we show that a multiplication $d$-tuple $\mathscr M_z$ on $\mathscr H$ satisfying the von Neumann's inequality is reflexive. This provides several new classes of examples as well as recovers special cases of various known results in one and several variables. We also exhibit a family of tri-diagonal $B(\mathbb C^2)$-valued kernels for which the associated multiplication operators $\mathscr M_z$ are non-hyponormal reflexive operators with commutants equal to $H^{\infty}_{_{B(\mathbb C^2)}}(\mathbb D)$.

Abstract:We prove multiplier theorems on rank one noncompact symmetric spaces which improve aspects of existing results. A common theme of our main results is that we partially drop specific assumptions on the multiplier function such as a Mikhlin-Hörmander condition. These are replaced by a requirement that parts of the multiplier function on the critical $p$ strip give rise to bounded Fourier multipliers.

Abstract:The theory of positive kernels and associated reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, especially in the setting of holomorphic functions, has been an important tool for the last several decades in a number of areas of complex analysis and operator theory. An interesting generalization of holomorphic functions, namely free noncommutative functions (e.g., functions of square-matrix arguments of arbitrary size satisfying additional natural compatibility conditions), is now an active area of research, with motivation and applications from a variety of areas (e.g., noncommutative functional calculus, free probability, and optimization theory in linear systems engineering). The purpose of this article is to develop a theory of positive kernels and associated reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces for the setting of free noncommutative function theory.

Abstract:We introduce an expansion scheme in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, which as a special case covers the celebrated Blaschke unwinding series expansion for analytic functions. The expansion scheme is further generalized to cover Hardy spaces $H^p$, $1<p<\infty$, viewed as Banach spaces of analytic functions with bounded evaluation functionals. In this setting a dichotomy is more transparent: depending on the multipliers used, the expansion of $f \in H^p$ converges either to $f$ in $H^p$-norm or to its projection onto a model space generated by the corresponding multipliers. Some explicit instances of the general expansion scheme, which are not covered by the previously known methods, are also discussed.

Abstract:This paper offers a unified approach to determining when two generalized Toeplitz operators on L^2 are equivalent. This will be done through multipliers between closed subspaces of L^2. Our discussion will include Toeplitz operators (and their duals) on the Hardy space, Hankel operators, asymmetric truncated Toeplitz operators, and dual asymmetric truncated Toeplitz operators. Along the way, there will be a discussion of equivalence of functions and kernels of generalized Toeplitz operators and a generalization of the Brown--Halmos theorem for this class of operators.

On Lagrange multipliers of the KKT system in Hilbert spaces

Abstract:In this paper we develop a new decomposition framework to deal with Lagrange multipliers of the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) system of constrained optimization problems and variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces. It is different from existing frameworks based on separation theorems. We introduce the essential Lagrange multiplier and establish the basic theory of this new multiplier. The essential Lagrange multiplier poses essentially different existence results in finite and infinite-dimensional spaces. It can also be used to give an essential characterization of the convergence of multipliers generated by the classical augmented Lagrangian method. Our analysis reveals that the essential Lagrange multiplier is at the core of both theories and applications of Lagrange multipliers.

Abstract:We describe the multiplier algebra of the noncommutative Schwartz space. This multiplier algebra can be seen as the largest ${}^*$-algebra of unbounded operators on a separable Hilbert space with the classical Schwartz space of rapidly decreasing functions as the domain. We show in particular that it is neither a $\mathcal{Q}$-algebra nor $m$-convex. On the other hand, we prove that classical tools of functional analysis, for example, the closed graph theorem, the open mapping theorem or the uniform boundedness principle, are still available.

Abstract:The aims of this paper are to study the L2 -multiplier operators, Tm,σ , associated with k -Hankel transform. We derive three Calderón's reproducing formulas. Initially, by an admissibility condition we get the inversion formula for Tm,σ(φ) . Furthermore, we achieve quadratic convergence as our second formula. Additionally, by utilizing the extremal function, we obtain the best approximation formula.
