Abstract:A vehicle tracking system is very useful for tracking the movement of a vehicle from any location at any time. An efficient vehicle tracking system is designed and implemented for tracking the movement of any equipped vehicle from any location at any time. The proposed system made good use of popular technology that combines a smartphone with an Arduino UNO. This easy to make and inexpensive compared to others. The designed in vehicle device works using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communication(GSM) technology that is one of the most common ways for vehicle tracking. The device is embedded inside a vehicle those positions is to be determined and tracked in real time. A vehicle tracking system is an electronic device installed in a vehicle to enable the owner or a third party to track the vehicle's location. This paper proposed to design a vehicle tracking system that works using GPS and GSM technology, which would be the cheapest source of vehicle tracking and it would work as anti-theft system. It is an embedded system which is used for tracking and positioning of any vehicle by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global system for mobile communication (GSM). An Arduino UNO is used to control the GPS receiver and GSM module. The vehicle tracking system uses the GPS module to get geographic coordinates at regular time interval. The GSM module is used to transmit and update the vehicle location to a database. This paper gives minute by minute update about vehicle location by sending SMS through GSM modem. This SMS contain latitude and longitude of the location of vehicle. Arduino UNO gets the coordinates from GPS modem and then it sends this information to user in text SMS. GSM modem is used to send this information via SMS sent to the owner of the vehicle. Location is displayed on LCD. And then Google map displays location and name of the place on cell phone. Thus, user able to continuously monitor a moving vehicle on demand using smartphone and determine the estimated distance and time for the vehicle to arrive at a given destination.

Our research is about the tracking vehicle according to user’s demand. We are concerning on low budget, better geographic coordinate and easy user access. The system needs global positioning system (GPS) and global system for mobile telecommunications (GSM) technology. User can access the system by short message service (SMS) on a mobile phone. GSM module communicate with the user and GPS module communicate with satellite to get latitude and longitude coordinate. Location of vehicle's on earth is determined using Google Maps .

Abstract:An integrated GPS-GSM system is proposed to track vehicles using Google Earth application. The remote module has a GPS mounted on the moving vehicle to identify its current position, and to be transferred by GSM with other parameters acquired by the automobile's data port as an SMS to a recipient station. The received GPS coordinates are filtered using a Kalman filter to enhance the accuracy of measured position. After data processing, Google Earth application is used to view the current location and status of each vehicle. This goal of this system is to manage fleet, police automobiles distribution and car theft cautions.

Thus, users will be able to continuously monitor a moving vehicle on demand using the Smartphone application and determine the estimated distance and time for the vehicle to arrive at a given destination. In order to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the system, this paper presents experimental results of the vehicle tracking system and some experiences on practical implementations.

Abstract:The purpose of this research work is to design and implement a multifunctional Un-manned Ground Vehicle (MUGV) which is multifunctional and economical. MUGV is designed in such way that it can be controlled remotely through the use of IoT cloud or it can be controlled in onsite using Bluetooth controller, the visual data can be acquired by using cameras. This MUGV will be integrated with the two cameras, one in static position for live streaming and a movable secondary camera with pan and tilt motions for acquiring visual data for research and image processing purpose. The MUGV is designed in such a way that it can be divided into multiple sub-systems which are capable of operating independently and for this reason separate power systems installed for each sub system. Raspberry Pi acts as a control unit for integrating different subsystems together to form the MUGV. The actuation of motors of a vehicle is controlled with the help of motor drivers such as L298N and servo motor actuation is controlled by PCA9685 which uses IIC proto-col. In open environments, Wi-Fi dongles are integrated with Raspberry Pi to increase range of control. Software is designed in such a way that the program is automatically started on reboot of Raspberry Pi and after all data collected during surveillance can be stored in a database for further uses.

Abstract:This paper presents a novel approach towards the designing and development of a feasible and an embedded vehicle intrusion and theft control system using GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) and GPS (Global Positioning System). The proposed system uses GSM technology as one of the distinguishing building blocks of the system. A GPS module Holux GR89 is used to trace the position of the vehicle and Mercury Switches are used to collect analog data continuously, in case of an intrusion, variations will be observed in sensors reading. Continuous readings from sensors are collected on to the microcontroller constantly and on the basis of those readings decision is taken whether an intrusion is made or not and in case of an intrusion a message from a predefined set of messages is generated to the owner of the vehicle and on reception of the message, the owner will have the luxury to take an action via an SMS either to lock the gears of the vehicle or seize the engine of the vehicle from a far-off place. A relay is used to control gears and engine of the vehicle while working with the microcontroller. A prototype system was built and tested. The results were very positive and encouraging.

Abstract:The system used AT91SAM9260 ARM processor as the controller,and the linux operating system,and Samsung K91G08U0B NandFlash as the torage medium.Through the ET-318 SiRF Star 3 GPS chipset,the system received GPS signals to locate.GPRS modules SIM300C was used to transfer data.The running state and the location of automobile could be monitored and recorded.By GPRS the driving records and current information will be uploaded to the server to achieve remote monitoring.This system also had darm function to reind the overspecd and fatigue driving recorded data could be transferred to computer through USB or RS-232.The practice proved that the device has steady performance and good effect.

Abstract:A GSM-based management system is designed for parking to solve the problem of'Parking hard'caused by the increasing number of private vehicles.The detection control of parking spaces is realized through parking controller,each communication master node collects states of parking spaces via RS485 bus,and then transfers them to the management PC via GSM network.The management PC receives parking spaces' states from each master node;this realization method could manage resources of each adjacent public parking lot uniformly.Users can check parking status by SMS or web.This system chooses PSoC from CYPRESS as the MCU of each node,which is a kind of chip with lower power consumption and resources configurable.This designing method of parking' management system could allocate parking spaces in nearby parking lot dynamically,use existing resources rationally,and relax parking pressure.It is a good way for each tight first-tier city of land resources to solve the problem of 'Parking hard'.

Abstract:As the need for tracking objects in our daily life is increasing, how to take advantage of widely used technologies and devices to meet everyone's need is becoming a burning issue. To achieve this aim, a tracking system supporting large-scale users based on GPS and G-sensors (TSSLSU) is designed to track items by obtaining various pieces information of the item's states and analyzing various conditions. In this system, a microprocessor with Global Positioning System(GPS) modules embedded in target sends data in real-time through General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM), and an inner G-sensor can fetch real-time state information, such as acceleration and vibration signals. The system designed a message protocol to encapsulate and send these data to servers and also adopted distributed architecture, including backend server cluster, cache queue cluster, database cluster, and web server cluster. This specific architecture provides a better performance when large-scale users visit concurrently. In particular, there are alarm mechanisms to inform the user of any illegal cases through smart phone application and power-saving mechanism for embedded terminal by changing the frequency of sending messages. At any time, user can locate it and query the carrier's previous path by web page or phone application.

Abstract:Motorcycles are progressively becoming a well-known mode of transportation in Ghana, especially in the northern region. Their affordability and easy movement on our rough roads make them a choice many users prefer. Nonetheless, the increase in the number of these motorcycles brought some concerns connected with safety and security. To resolve these issues, the improvement of the security framework is fundamental. Real-time monitoring is part of the Internet of Things (IoT), which permits distance monitoring. Different tracking technologies such as RFID, Internet tracking, cellphone triangulation, GPS, and other technologies. This research work expects to plan a far-reaching motorcycle security and global positioning framework utilizing an Arduino microcontroller Uno r3, Neo-6mGPS, and GSM SIM800L modules. The GPS module obtains the location area while the GSM module works with interaction between the Arduino Uno and the client's cell phone, showing the area on Google Maps. The framework comprises a locking component and a global positioning framework. The motorcycle's ignition system is controlled by a locking mechanism that enhances protection against theft. Besides, the scarcity of these security systems and the existing motorcycle tracking systems are very costly to purchase and maintain. There is restricting openness for the overwhelming majority of bike users. This prompt is a high pace of bike theft, making recovery challenging. One of the project's goals are to decrease power utilization in the global positioning framework, upgrade GPS following precision, and use SMS as the essential means of communication. This research work adopted the Agile Methodology of designing applications. While this research work presents various benefits, it additionally has limits. These incorporate the expenses of equipment parts. Restricted accessibility of Arduino components in the Ghanaian market and time. Regardless of these restrictions, the exploration attempts to create powerful and open bike security in the Ghanaian market.

Abstract:Intelligent Transportation System or a smart transportation system with new technology that has been growing in recent years which is used as a computing system and communication technology for various purposes, such as traffic management, vehicle and highway security and emergency services. The current growth of e-commerce is very powerful, because people have placed e-commerce as a lifestyle. The high demand for logistics and delivery causes the need for monitoring package cars. This research system is designed to automatically monitor package cars, by utilizing the receiver frequency in the L1 frequency band (1575.42 MHz) which is modulated by the Ublox GPS Neo 6M module. Accelerometer sensors and acoustic data are used in cars as speed gauges and are used to detect and provide brief recordings in the event of an accident and can also monitor the speed of the car's distribution of packages in real-time. It was obtained for 7 trials with the same speed and constantly to avoid the Doppler effect that the accuracy of the GPS was quite good and the data was successfully uploaded to the web server in real time.

Abstract:This paper presents a real-time GPS tracking solution for connected vehicle networks, leveraging IoT, V2X communication, and VANET technologies. The system uses Arduino Uno R3, SIM800L, NEO6M GPS, Node.js, socket, and Firebase for seamless real-time GPS data collection, storage, and visualization. Users can access and monitor GPS data on a web interface. Integration of Node.js and sockets ensures efficient hardware-software communication, while Firebase enables realtime data storage and synchronization for resource management and tracking. The paper explores the system's applications in dynamic routing for energy efficiency, eco-driving feedback, smart charging stations, environmental data collection, intelligent traffic management, and fleet emissions reduction. These applications highlight the system's versatility, promoting energy efficiency and sustainability across industries. By incorporating IoT, VANET, and V2X communication, the system enables seamless connectivity and data exchange among vehicles, infrastructure, and the cloud, enhancing decision-making and system efficiency. Insights into system implementation, including IoT, VANET, and real-time GPS integration, are provided. Abstract:In this paper, we used XBee wireless technology due to the privileges that it provides in terms of low cost and a high level of security which gives a more reliable information transfer, penetration avoidance, and unauthorized access, without any cost in sending and receiving this information. The aim of this work is to syndicate the XBee wireless technology and global positioning system (GPS) for a low-cost real-time vehicle tracking system and displaying the result on Google earth. The overall system involved two main modules, the displaying module (monitoring station) and the following module (vehicle unit). The following module consists of microcontroller (Arduino) platform, XBee, and GPS for navigation purpose. The GPS delivers real-time data about the location of the vehicle and directs the coordinate to the XBee via the Arduino platform. The later is incorporated as a connecting buffer between the XBee transmission unit and the GPS receiver. Receiving the location data of the tracked vehicle and displaying them on Google earth is the responsibility of the monitoring station. The designed system has been tested practically in both crowded and open area environments, the overall system works well and displayed the vehicle coordinates nevertheless the existence of noise and interference in the vehicle area and regardless the obstacles like buildings.

Abstract:Based on the GPS localization function and the GSM SMS function, a long-distance wireless supervisory system of commodity flow was developed.The process of receiving and dispatching SMS with GSM and the method of selecting information from the GPS were introduced.This system could analyze GPS data,decode the latitude and longitude information,and then transmit the SMS through the GSM module to the inquired terminal and other handsets,and finally realize the real-time position monitoring of transportation.The system embedded the ARM7 processor and some monitors and probe sensor,so that the system could monitor the vehicles' running,the security and cargo condition.

Abstract:Precision agriculture is the trend of modern agriculture, and it is also one of the important ways to realize the sustainable development of agriculture. In order to meet the production requirements of precision agriculture-efficient use of agricultural resources, and improving the crop yields and quality-some necessary field information in crop growth environment needs to be collected and monitored. In this paper, a farmland information collection system is developed, which includes a portable farmland information collection device based on STM32 (a 32-bit comprehensive range of microcontrollers based on ARM Crotex-M3), a remote server and a mobile phone APP. The device realizes the function of portable and mobile collecting of multiple parameters farmland information, such as chlorophyll content of crop leaves, air temperature, air humidity, and light intensity. UM220-III (Unicore Communication Inc., Beijing, China) is used to realize the positioning based on BDS/GPS (BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, BDS/Global Positioning System, GPS) dual-mode navigation and positioning system, and the CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access, CDMA) wireless communication module is adopted to realize the real-time remote transmission. The portable multi-function farmland information collection system is real-time, accurate, and easy to use to collect farmland information and multiple information parameters of crops.

Abstract:Modern powerful reconfigurable systems are suited in the implementation of various data-stream, data-parallel, and other applications. An application that needs real-time, fast, and reliable data processing is the global positioning system (GPS)-based vehicle tracking system (VTS). In this paper, we build on a recently produced VTS (The Aram Locator) offering a system-on-chip (SOC) replacement of the current microcontroller-based implementation. The proposed SOC is built on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) promising a cheaper design, a more cohesive architecture, a faster processing time and an enhanced system interaction. Different designs, and their hardware implementations, are proposed with different levels of integration. Performance analysis and evaluation of the investigated designs are included.

Abstract:The joy of procuring anything new alwaysSanda, Pankaj Kumar comes with an added tension of accidental damage or losing it. Although it is as small as gold ring, a mobile or as big as any car, home etc., our primary concern is to ensure the security of that item. A smartBarui, Sidhartha system is proposed here for vehicle tracking which ensures to track a car automatically if it is lost/stolen or in danger. This system is developed by using two units, namely, controlling unit and monitoring unit installedDas, Deepanwita in the vehicle and at the users’ end respectively. These units are configured using simple modules like GPS, GSM and Arduino board. During tracking the user/monitoring unit sends a RqstSMS for tracking the vehicle, and immediately gets back another RplySMS that contain the coordinates of that vehicle’s location. The delay between RqstSMS and RplySMS is negligible. In comparison to the existing high-end tracking system, the proposed system provides automated tracking/security while ensuring low cost of production.
