Abstract:During the last decade many changes have taken place in the world economy and especially in corporate environment. The business environment today is turbulent and laced with uncertainty which is continuously changing and is full of opportunities and challenges. Particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) faces unique challenges in the business environment. SMEs are necessitating changing their practices, technologies and they have to identify the opportunities at the right time and face them with right strategy for the sustainment. In the current scenario, it becomes difficult to the SMEs to sustain and survive unless the costs are correctly accounted for, controlled and reduced so as to sustain and remain in the competitive world. The business environment has gone through rapid transformation. The changes in the business environment can be analyzed from two dimensions viz, Internal and External. The external environmental factors are largely beyond the control of an organization its success will depend to a very large extent on its adaptability to the environment. This PEST analysis acts as a major tool for analysis and helps to understand the political stability of the state, business position, foreign business prospects, environmental opportunities and threats etc. Here an attempt is made to study the role of PEST for the sustainability of SMEs.

Abstract:The article examines the topical issue of the development of the tourism industry in territorial communities, i.e. the impact of the external environment and the dependence of the development of the tourism sector of the economy on the system of macroeconomic factors which are not directly formed and controlled by territorial communities, despite being an integral element of their management. The authors outline the approaches to the application of PESTLE analysis as the strategic management tool, which makes it possible to analyze the external environment of influence on the development and functioning of tourism in communities, which does not exist outside the integration with other sectors of the economy and markets. The author emphasizes the definition of consumer values in tourism, which is the main goal for a tourist, a visitor to the territory, and a traveler when receiving certain services, which imply obtaining certain sensations: pleasure, emotions, cognition, comfort, health improvement, rest, etc. The article defines certain steps of the PESTLE analysis, which can be used in communities to prepare strategic planning. The authors reveal that when conducting a PESTLE analysis, it is necessary to try not only to describe and evaluate existing external factors but also to predict their changes for 3-5 years. It is necessary to identify the factors that can directly influence the development of the territorial community, the growth of its economic potential, and the preservation of the environment, and systematize them according to their importance for the achievement of the strategic goal. It remains important to predict and minimize possible risks and threats that occur/will occur during the functioning of the complex of tourist capacity of communities – tourist facilities, tourism industry enterprises, infrastructure, and communications.

Abstract:A B S T R A C T PEST analysis stands for "Political, Economic, Social, and Technological analysis" and describes a framework of macro-environmental factors used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management. At this paper we study the case of E-shop, a private company in Greece, illustrating the reasons why a company should work on pest framework. The sales of computers towards the Greek market are collapsing for the last three months of 2011. During the Christmas Holidays period, which usually is the higher in sales, 191.578 pieces were sold, while last year 293.182 pieces were sold. The sales are reduced by 34.7%. The local PCs market situation is obvious by regarding the sales of information systems towards the corporations. The information systems in the past were the development engine of the sector, while today are the break. During the last four months of 2011, 69,000 computers were sold for professional purposes versus 119,000 computers during the last four months of 2010. The sales decrease was 41%. The end users market showed greater degree of resistance, as the sales were decreased by 30%. The numbers of this category were 212,000 computers during the last four months of 2011 compared to 173,000 computers during the last four months of 2010. Regarding the level of corporate sales for desktop PCs, with respect to the sales of the information systems, it has been decreased by 38%, from 88,000 last four months 2010, to 54,000 pieces last four months 2011. Regarding the level of corporate sales for lap tops, it has been decreased by 33%, from 205,000 pieces last four months 2010 to 137,000 last four months 2011

Abstract:Businesses can’t control external factors but must respond to them. These political, economic, social, technological, environmental and competitive factors are represented by the acronym PESTEC. This research is based on secondary data following the methodology of literature review for different periods of time to understand which of these 5 factors has the greatest impact on the strategic management of the enterprise. From the data obtained we have concluded that all external factors have a high impact on the strategic management of the enterprise. The management of the enterprise in time should be informed of the expected changes that may come from political, economic, social or cultural factors. THE PROBLEMS OF ECONOMY

Abstract:One of the defining sectoral features of the catering business as a component of a national economy is its increased sensitivity to changes occurring in the economic situation, environment and business practices. It is a priori impossible to take into account the absolute majority of factors influencing the process of resource potential formation, so it is necessary to determine the set of those factors that have a direct or indirect impact on the catering business in general and resource potential in particular, as well as on the formation of their comprehensive evaluation system. The article is aimed at evaluating the impact of these factors on the resource potential of enterprises in the catering industry. The macroenvironment is analyzed as a set of external factors of indirect impact by the following indices: GDP, investment, consumer price index, household income. The dualistic nature of the impact made by external factors of indirect impact is established, whereas these factors can be both opportunities and threats to the catering industry depending on certain criteria of the international economic situation. A comprehensive analysis of the meso environment from the standpoint of dividing impact factors in two groups: the market group (number of business entities in catering industry; gross output and volume of sales of goods; price indices for goods and services) and resource group (financial results of the catering industry and services; investment volume and structure in this area; employment and labor costs; information technologies usage). The presence and hidden sources by types of resources are established. Synthesis of the impact areas of external factors on the activity of catering business entities is made based on a symbiosis of the following methods: PEST-analysis, SWOT-analysis, PESTEL-analysis. A set of evaluation areas of factors influencing the formation of the resource potential of an enterprise is created, providing for the application of the distribution criterion depending on the area of evaluating external factors of indirect impact. The general economic indicator (GDP) is suggested to be used as a distribution criterion, whose range of values will indicate the transition of a particular index to the plane of "threat" or "opportunity".

E-learning as a means of delivering this education has grown in significance over the years. Research evidence shows that e-learning can help healthcare professionals learn new knowledge and skills. E-learning is fundamentally about education, but it is also a social phenomenon and part of a wider technological revolution. The provision of e-learning for healthcare professional development can be influenced by a number of different factors. These include political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors (PESTLE). All these phenomena influence e-learning in healthcare professional education - their degree of influence often depends on the exact context that is being discussed. A PESTLE analysis uses a framework of these macro-environmental factors that can be used in the strategic analysis of a specific domain. This paper describes an analysis of political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors that can influence e-learning in healthcare professional education.

Abstract:COVID-19 pandemic has affected every country in many ways. Its substantial economic impacts are causing businesses to fade, pushing many nations into an economic downturn. This exposes organizations worldwide to unique risks which cannot be foreseen with conventional methods of risk analysis. This research is part of a broader action design research project conducted in collaboration with industry partner to answer an important research question: How to extend PESTLE risk analysis model to assess pandemic preparedness? In this context, the health factor is added to extend the traditional PESTLE risk analysis model. Furthermore, the interdependence between PESTLE factors has also been investigated, which has not been discussed before. The contribution of this research is the novel PESTLE+ risk analysis model that will help individuals and businesses to improve their understanding of the health crisis, such as the COVID-19, adjust accordingly and eventually endure the ongoing crisis, which is driving most businesses into liquidation.

Abstract:Introduction. In order to ensure the operation of the system of economic protection of the enterprise in the conditions of military aggression of the Russian Federation, a full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine and martial law, the article emphasizes the need to study the theoretical foundations of the problem. Purpose. The article conducts a study of global trends in economic protection of the enterprise, using means of bibliometric analysis, formation of bibliometric networks, economic and mathematical methods of forecasting, means of comparison and graphical visualization of the obtained results. Method (methodology). To achieve these goals, bibliometric analysis of the Scopus database, correlation-regression analysis and forecasting based on a trend model using MS Excel were used. Visualization of the bibliometric analysis was implemented using the VOSviewer and an online service designed for the construction of the Sankey diagram. Results. According to the results of the bibliometric analysis from 1943 to 2024 (March 2024), 3 230 publications were found in the Scopus database, the significant growth of which occurred in 2001-2024. The predicted value for 2025-2040 using regression models is 6 504 publications, which in twice their total number in the studied period. In the process of analysis, the 16 387 keywords identified in the publications were summarized in 7 clusters by the VOSviewer. Among them, such keywords as: Environmental protection dominate; Economic development; Environmental economics and management, regulation, policy; Sustainable development; Pollution (environmental pollution, pollution control), etc. The received keywords were structured according to thematic direction and total link strength. As a result of expert analysis and grouping, 6 aspects were obtained (Economic aspect, Environmental aspect, Aspect of natural resources, Governmental aspect, Industrial aspect, Instrumental aspect), of which the most popular is Environmental aspect (24 329 keywords or 35,22%), which involves the study of enterprise protection technologies, environmental economics, policy, etc.

Abstract:ABSTRACT In the first part of this case, students are introduced to the five components of the 2017 COSO enterprise risk management (ERM) Framework and will use this framework to recommend objectives related to a small coffee shop’s strategic position and identify the associated risks. In the second part of the case, students will use Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental, Political, Legal, and Ethical (STEEPLE) Analysis to identify business environment risks and assess these risks regarding a new business opportunity. At the conclusion of the case, students should be able to recommend risk-conscious business objectives and performance targets that align with a business’s strategy as well as assess the risk associated with a new business opportunity. The topics addressed in this teaching case are appropriate for undergraduate and graduate-level managerial accounting, Accounting Information Systems (AIS), and Auditing courses where business environment risks are discussed and evaluated. Abstract:Aiming at offering more profound and clear understanding of product environmental footprint( PEF) for scholars,PEF main content was concluded from its meaning and implementation steps,by collecting PEF relative information,reading and referring to the literature and guide. Then,the relationship with EU environmental policy was analyzed. Product environmental sign and organisational environmental footprint( OEF) were also introduced. Meanwhile,considering the effects to Chinese export trade,some measures were suggested. The results indicate that most content of PEF is the same with life cycle assessment( LCA),but PEF is more clearly and detailed,with strict requirements,offering a more uniform implementation standard.

Abstract:Contemporarily, the success of Bubble Mart can be attributed to the "blind box". In fact, it is problematic since there are no secrets or barriers in the blind box game and mechanism itself, and this cannot be the core driver of a fast-rising company. Therefore, this study will use Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning (STP), Product, Price, Promotion, Place (4P) and Political, Economic, Sociocultural, Technological, Environmental, Legal (PESTEL) to analyze the internal and external environment of Pop Mart in depth. To be specific, the strengths and weaknesses of Pop Mart's development are demonstrated and compared accordingly. Afterwards, the investment recommendations for Pop Mart are proposed. Moreover, the limitations of the current study and guideline further researches are offered. These results shed light on guiding further exploration of similar corporation in the industry.

Abstract:Insect pests and insect pest management tactics impose risks to the environment. Environmental risk assessment is a formalized paradigm for the objective evaluation of risk in which assumptions and uncertainties are clearly presented. Therefore, a better understanding of the environmental risks and especially the comparative risks posed by insect pests and management tactics will improve integrated pest management. Risk assessments for insect pest management tactics are much more common for pesticides and genetically engineered crops than for biological control, cultural control, and semiochemicals. The reasons for this discrepancy include evidence of deleterious effects and data availability for pesticides and genetically engineered crops, public perceptions of tactics, and politics. Regardless of the regulatory oversight and frequency of risk assessments, all tactics should be subject to the risk assessment paradigm to assist in societal decisions.

Abstract:SWOT mix and PESTEL scenario are considered to have impact on risk management practices of financial institutions. Based on the data collected through questionnaire survey and annual reports of the sample companies, the researcher has identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and also mentioned the possible ways of addressing the weaknesses and countering the threats. Ways are indicated as to how strengths are matched to opportunities to gain competitive advantage. The empirical study shows that an efficient SWOT and PESTEL analysis will definitely help the companies develop an effective risk management framework that will keep all sorts of risks within control.

Abstract:This paper provides a systematic review of current economic and psychological studies on the determinants of PEB published up to 2017. Our normative understanding and study of PEB can benefit from an integral review of these research traditions. Consequently, we identify various determinants of PEB that can be classified into four major types:• Socio-demographic factors (personal capabilities)• Attitudinal (psychological) factors• Habits• Contextual factors (individual, social and institutional)Our paper shows that to understand the complex workings of PEB, it is no longer viable to study its determinants individually, but researchers must rather consider an interplay of these factors. In addition to the introduction of this inter-sectional approach, we show that measuring PEB in an adequate way requires the consideration of more than one or two distinct behaviors (multiple items) as the impact of the determinants differs depending on the analyzed behavior. PEB itself can also be distinguished into types of PEB (private vs public sphere behaviors, environmental activism). Additionally, our review gives an overview of the typical methodological approaches and systematizes the questions used to measure PEB. By combining results from economics and psychology, this work offers a starting point for a more inter-sectional and interdisciplinary understanding of PEB, and a guide for further empirical investigations.

Abstract:This study is a quantitative study by analyzing The Strategic Business Analysis Using Pestel And Porter’s Five Forces Model (A Study About 德州美墨炸雞 Rangers Fried Chicken Taipei-Taiwan), using PESTEL analysis and Porter's Five Forces model with a qualitative approach. The results show that economic stability, technological developments, and changes in consumer preferences provide opportunities and challenges. The tight competition in the fast food restaurant industry is characterized by the presence of international and local players. Adaptive and innovative strategies are needed to maintain competitiveness, including improving product quality, diversifying menus, and adopting the latest technology.

As Blind Box has gained explosive popularity among young people in China and POP MART is the most successful company in this industry, its operation and marketing strategies arouse the wide attention of the market and are copied by its competitors. Therefore, this paper focuses on POP MART s development and its business environment and strategies, and conducts an all-sided analysis of POP MART, using PEST analysis to explore some macro factors affecting this company. STP theory is then used to help to make further research into how POP MART uses marketing strategies to reach out to its target customers and position itself in the market. Through all these analyses, this paper gives a comprehensive but also specific evaluation of POP MART , which reveals the uniqueness of its business mode as well as its flaws. It then proposes some practical and sustainable suggestions for POP MART and enterprises alike to adjust its operation in the current marketplace and make up for its weaknesses.

Abstract:The pet industry is a very promising market that has risen in recent years. Its external influences on its development provide catalysts that should be identified. And due to the continuous growth of people's demand for pets, the pet economy has developed into a new economic form. The future development trend is the concerns of practitioners in the pet industry. This article highlights the main challenges through a political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) analysis. This article will focus on using data analysis to figure out the dynamics of the pet market. The results of the analysis show that the market economy of the pet industry will show a growing trend in the future. People's growing demand for pets and the support of modern technology have allowed the pet industry to develop more types of products. And with the development of society, the future market and products of the pet industry will further expand. Researchers can use the relevant data in this article to understand the future development trend of the pet industry.
