Abstract:The article analyzes the extent to which predictions based on the theory of evolutionary aesthetics are utilized by the advertising industry. The purpose of a comprehensive content analysis of print advertising is to determine whether the items indicated by evolutionists such as animals, flowers, certain types of landscapes, beautiful humans, and some colors are part of real advertising strategies. This article has shown that many evolutionary hypotheses (although not all of them) are supported by empirical data. Along with these hypotheses, some inferences from Bourdieu’s cultural capital theory were tested. It turned out that advertising uses both biological schemata and cultural patterns to make an image more likable.

Abstract:As we have entered into the new millennium, it is difficult not to recognize ART as one of the most dynamic and rapidly emerging fields in all of medicine. What began as an experimental procedure in animals has developed into a multidisciplinary technology. A great debt is owed to the field of animal husbandry. In humans, implantation is inefficient and has been recognized as the rate-limiting step in reproduction. In vitro fertilization has allowed the observation of human gamete interaction in the laboratory. A milestone was reached when ART allowed couples with infertility to have success rates that exceeded those associated with normal human fecundity. Continued innovations are improving the rate of embryonic implantation. Blastocyst transfer will have a major role in the future of ART. It is common for the couple with infertility to battle their problem by increasing the frequency of intercourse because it is the only weapon at their disposal. So, too, did clinicians increase the number of embryos transferred to the uterus. New developments promise to challenge the long-held contention that successful IVF/embryo transfer is positively correlated with the number of oocytes retrieved or the number of embryos transferred. More accurate reporting will enable us to measure the impact of technologic improvements that improve implantation rates and decrease multiple gestations. The future holds the promise of some tangible goals. The development of in vitro maturation of immature oocytes could lead to an era in which oocytes are harvested without the need for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. This would provide for the possibility of the banking of gametes. Women could preserve or store their fertility at a young age in a manner similar to that which has been possible for men for decades. They could avoid the increased risk for aneuploidy seen with the age of 35, and theoretically, they should have a lower risk for miscarriage. The future is near. One day, ART will be perfected so that a single embryo transfer will be the standard of care. Soon it will be possible to know all about the genetic makeup of that embryo and it will be routinely selected from its cohort by virtue of those genetic traits.

Abstract:Abstract The general aim of this research is to address the importance of considering visual artistic imagery in engaging consumers for persuasion effects. In this study, I present properties of visual images crucial for aesthetic value and possible modes of engagement with artistic advertisements. I argue that both a visual rhetorical figure and a high sensory quality function to “make the familiar strange” and to engage recipients in the ad. The communicative effectiveness is tested through the experience of pleasure, immersion, narrative transportation, ad experience (involving sensory, cognitive and affective elaboration) and personal involvement. The results of the experiment show that a visual rhetorical figure and a high sensory quality of an ad influence communicative effectiveness of picture-based artistic advertisement. Plausibly, by making familiar strange, artistic ads become effective communicative tools, as they give an opportunity to engage with an ad in different ways and boost ad experience. It seems also that using artistic ads can be particularly effective in communicating brand personality. This research advances the theory and practice of communicative effectiveness of picture-based artistic advertisements.

Abstract:American advertising in the period immediately following the Second World War portrayed nurses as trusted advisers and capable professionals and frequently pictured them performing skilled work, including dispensing medicine and assisting in surgery. Advertisements published in a range of magazines whose target audiences varied by gender, race, age, and class show that nurses in postwar advertisements embodied two broad categories of representation: (a) medical authority, scientific progress, and hospital cleanliness; and (b) feminine expertise, especially in female and family health. Typically portrayed as young white women--although older nurses were occasionally depicted and black nurses appeared in advertisements intended for black audiences-nurses were especially prominent in advertisements for menstrual and beauty products, as well as products related to children's health. Although previous scholarly examinations of nurses in postwar mass media have emphasized their portrayal as hypersexual and incompetent, this investigation posits postwar advertising as a forum that emphasized nurses' professionalism, as well as complex expectations surrounding women's professional and domestic roles.

Abstract:Ron Harris captured the popular imagination in October 1999 with a website where he auctioned off the ova of fashion models to the highest bidder. This article treats the controversy surrounding Harris' site within a dual frame of critical theory's approach to reproduction and a folkloristic approach to discourse. The website fuses traditional narrative motifs and structures with the logic of advertising, seventies television, family-values rhetoric, and the fertility industry. I argue that the great attraction of ronsangels.com is that it put into relief the intervention of mechanical reproduction in human fertility together with the state of genetics at the turn of the 21st century. The result is not only a disconcerting aestheticization and commodification of biological reproduction, but also the biological reproduction of a particular aesthetic and moral code--a generation of reality by model.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the application of traditional culture in the intelligent advertising design system in the internet era. The existence form of traditional culture is abstract and vivid. It is extremely charming when used in advertising design. It is unique and subtle and has the beauty of holding a pipa half-covered. The classic colors reveal the splendor of history, which is fascinating, and it seems to want people to integrate into it and appreciate its beauty. This paper, firstly, introduces the background of traditional culture and intelligent advertising design and discusses its significance and innovation. Combined with the research methods and experiments put forward by the related work, the advertising system model is, firstly, proposed. The process of ad request processing, system hardware topology, and ad real-time bidding process are introduced. It will talk about the feature association algorithm in advertising design, explain the linear logistic regression and nonlinear algorithms, and describe the GBDT feature processing process. It combines stochastic gradient descent, decision trees, etc., to calculate ad click-through rates. It also explained the allocation algorithm of traffic and quality and market competition in advertising design. It is guided by a probabilistic filtering mechanism that tests ad spend, bidding, and market competition. Finally, the effect evaluation experiment of intelligent advertising system based on traditional culture fusion is carried out. It displays the application of traditional culture, such as Dunhuang Feitian and blue and white porcelain, Huizhou architecture, and Miao embroidery. It uses pictures to show its beauty, and it compares the advertising situation in the perspective of traditional culture and modern fashion. It is concluded that the introduction of traditional culture into advertisements is more attractive. Through the establishment of an outdoor advertising evaluation system based on face gesture recognition to calculate the pedestrian parking viewing rate, it is concluded that the system has a very high accuracy rate and a very small error, only 3.76%, which can be effectively applied to actual scenarios.

Abstract:In 1904 American physician John Zahorsky managed an incubator institute at the Louisiana Purchase Expositiioon in St. Louis, Missouri. For Zahorsky the incubator became a focal point for organizing medical care, for evaluating existing practices and for developing new ones. His efforts resulted in markedly improved survival rates for premature infants. Despite his success, however, his findings never became part of the medical literature on prematurity. Zahorsky himself believed that physicians dismissed his work because of his association with showmen. This paper also suggests that his were not practical findings. The incubator was too heavy to be used for home births among middle class families and the equipment and nursing care were too expensive to be used with hospitalized infants from tenements. Zahorsky recognized that the incubator somehow diminished the humanity of premature infants, for parents sometimes did not reclaim infants lent to the exhibit. The infant on exhibit became a commodity at a time when babies were offered for sale by advertisement. The incubator institute illustrated the prevailing sensibility about infants, one context in which medical research took place, and the relationships among commerce, entertainment, medical practices, and medical science in the United States early in the twentieth century.

Abstract:A continuing trend of global urbanization leads to a geographical concentration of population and social activities that causes a regional compression of concomitant resource and energy consumption. This paper argues that a Sustainable Living Lab infrastructure (SusLab) in urban areas facilitates a systematic integration of user’s consideration in the design and development of Product-Service Systems (PSS) that enables changes of daily routines in favor of urban wealth development and conservation of ecosystem services. The authors build on the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Model of the Wuppertal Institute that provides a theoretical framework of sociotechnical rearrangements towards urban sustainability transition. Therefore, a reconfiguration of social practices and PSS in a desired direction according to social, ecological and economic concerns is reconsidered on the micro level in line with efficiency, consistency, and sufficiency strategies. The authors introduce an assessment framework for urban sustainable development and illustrate multifarious concepts of PSS that are aiming to decouple wealth development from resource and energy consumption in urban areas.

Abstract:Abstract: This article provides an historical and critical review of a sampling of iconic and archetypical advertisements from the 1800s to the present concerning advertising imagery involving race and ethnicity. Showcasing a variety of print ads, video commercials and social media content, advertising representations featuring Black and African American, Latinx, Asian, Native American and White models are examined, based on examples derived from US and global marketing efforts. Advertisements promoting multiculturalism and anti-racist ideologies are also discussed. Recently curated sources for locating additional examples concerning advertising, race, and ethnicity are identified for further research and teaching. Finally, recommendations aimed at improving advertising teaching and practice are suggested, with a goal of diminishing advertising gaffes which are harmful to advertisers' reputations. Given the interdependent relationship between advertising images, image creators, and the influence of advertising imagery on society, it is important that advertising professionals recognize the potency of visual representations and use their influence to effect change in advertising institutions.

Their cumulative effect may influence legal, social, and moral thought and set the stage for a change in public opinion and a challenge to legalized abortion. There is as yet no inexorable convergence of medical data and legal opinion that would undermine the rational of Roe v. Wade. But the prochoice movement must find room for an open airing of the moral questions if abortion is to remain what it should be--a legally acceptable act.

Abstract:The purpose of this essay is to provide the reader with a brief overview of several recent person-artifact-context relational models that explain the complex interaction of the processes that underlie an ongoing aesthetic experience with visual art forms. Recent progress towards a comprehensive understanding of these processes has been made possible in large part by experimental approaches that take advantage of recent advances in computer technology and electronic sophistication. To illustrate this point, three experimental techniques at the forefront of the field of experimental aesthetics are highlighted here. They include the investigation of viewers' body postural adjustments to depicted pictorial depth and movement in paintings; the use of hand-held computers known as personal data assistants to record audience members' on-going emotional reactions to live performances of dance; and the contribution of audio tour information to museum visitors' interaction with and aesthetic evaluation of sculptures and paintings. Finally, the eMotion: Mapping Museum Experience project, which has the potential to make a tremendous contribution to the understanding of the complex interaction of factors that contribute to a museum visitor's experience, is described.

Conclusion Main application of computer image technology in the current poster design,whose expression is relatively single,can not meet the requirement of the poster design of novelty and uniqueness.By changing the composition of the image,reasonable use of repetition,deconstruction,deformation,collage,mutual contrast technique such as composition,can express the graphics performance using unconventional thinking in the poster design.

Abstract:There have long been debates on the artistic concept of advertisements.Two domains exist in the debates: that of concrete evidence and that of criticism.The organization and cognition of the lines of thought in the debates are based on the latter.From the perspective of diachronic examinations,the relations between advertisements and art are similar and different,too.In terms of classic art,advertisements and art are of many similarities.Both are independent artistic forms;both belong to aesthetic culture with technique as their kernel content;both are faced with the similar utilitarianism;both are expressed in a peaceful and non-intense style and both are pertain to a positive culture.But as far as the modernistic art is concerned,advertisements and art have totally different nature and functions.When it comes to post-modernistic art,the two have a relationship of implicit overlapping.The post-modernistic artists' practice has broken the demarcation line between art and life and therefore,the advertisements which are seen as a form of popular culture,have already become art itself.
