Abstract:Objective: To investigate whether the clinical and radiographical outcomes are affected when four or six implants support the maxillary fixed complete denture (FCD). Materials and methods: This study was registered on PROSPERO (CRD42021226432) and followed the PRISMA guidelines. The focused PICO question was, ''For an edentulous maxillary patient rehabilitated with an implant-supported fixed prosthesis, do the clinical and radiographical outcomes differ when four or six implants support the prosthesis ''. A thorough search of the relevant studies was designed and performed electronically. The survival rate of implant and prosthesis, marginal bone loss, and complications (mechanical and biological) were the primary outcomes, whereas implant distribution and using the surgical guide, follow-up, and framework material were evaluated as secondary outcomes. Results: Out of 1099 articles initially retrieved, 53 clearly stated the outcomes of interest and were included in this study. There were no significant differences in implant and prosthesis survival, technical/mechanical complications, and biological complications between the 4-implant group (4-IG) and the 6-implant group (6-IG). However, marginal bone loss (MBL) was significantly higher in the 4-IG (p < 0.01). The surgical guide and follow-up period did not significantly affect implant/prosthesis survival. Additionally, using the CAD/CAM milled framework and anteroposterior implant distribution were associated with significantly higher implant survival in the 6-IG (p < 0.01). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated that having a greater number of implants, as seen in the 6-implant group, can lead to a decrease in technical and biological complications and reduce marginal bone loss. It is worth noting that factors such as using CAD/CAM frameworks and the anteroposterior distribution of implants were recognized as important in improving implant survival rates when more implants are present.

Abstract:Objectives: To evaluate treatment success, patient satisfaction, and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) after rehabilitation of atrophic edentulous maxilla (AEM) with six implants placed simultaneously with bilateral maxillary sinus floor augmentation (MSFA). Materials and methods: The selected patients were fully edentulous with atrophic maxillary posterior residual ridges and rehabilitated with six implants placed simultaneously with bilateral MSFA and immediate All-on-4 provisional fixed prosthesis (PFP). After 7-12 months of implant surgery, all patients have received an All-on-6 definitive fixed prosthesis (DFP). After at least one year of function with DFP, clinical and radiographic examinations were performed. Patient satisfaction was assessed through a visual analog scale (VAS). The OHRQoL before treatment (T0), during provisional (T1), and after definitive prosthesis (T2) was evaluated using OHI-14. Results: 20 maxillary edentulous patients were rehabilitated with 120 implants, 20 immediate All-on-4 PFP, and 20 All-on-6 DFP. Of those, 12 patients have passed at least a year follow-up after DFP insertion and were eligible to be included in the assessment of treatment success. After a mean of 20 (12-36) months follow-up, the implant and prosthesis survival rates were 100%. The success rate at the implant level was 98.6%. The mean marginal bone loss (MBL) was 0.09 +/- 0.06 mm. No prosthetic or postoperative complications, and the mean general satisfaction was (91.75 +/- 7.06). There was a significant improvement in all OHIP-14 domains during the final All-on-6 prosthesis (T2) (P < 0.01). Conclusions: Rehabilitation of atrophic edentulous maxilla using six implants with simultaneous bilateral MSFA and immediate All-on-4 PFP is a successful treatment approach associated with minimal postoperative complications and significant improvement in OHRQoL. Abstract:Aim: The aim of this within-subject prospective clinical study was to investigate the scope of single implant mandibular overdenture by assessing its masticatory efficiency, clinical performance, and patient satisfaction compared to conventional complete dentures. Settings and Design: Prospective In Vivo Study. Material and Methods: This prospective in vivo study was conducted in the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Christian Dental College, Ludhiana. A total of 12 completely edentulous patients received a single implant in the mandibular anterior midline region. After the healing period, the conventional maxillary and mandibular dentures were fabricated. 15 days post insertion of the conventional dentures, patients were evaluated for masticatory efficiency, clinical performance including retention and stability, and patient satisfaction. To evaluate the masticatory efficiency blue raspberry and original pink “Hubba Bubba tape gum” were used as a test food. Colorimetric analysis was done to assess variance of hue. To assess clinical performance, retention, and stability of the mandibular denture was recorded using a digital force gauge and was tabulated as per CU-modified Kapur's criteria. OHIP-14 index was used to assess patient satisfaction. After evaluation of the parameters of conventional dentures, the denture was converted into an implant-retained mandibular denture by chairside conversion with locator attachments. 15 days post-implant loading, parameters of the implant retained mandibular overdenture were assessed again followed by statistical analysis. Statistical Analysis Used: The masticatory efficiency was assessed using a paired t -test. The patient satisfaction was sequentially assessed with Wilcoxon signed rank test and thereafter paired t -test was used to compare between conventional complete denture and overdenture. Clinical performance was assessed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: The masticatory efficiency of single implant mandibular overdenture was higher than that of conventional complete dentures. The clinical performance of the overdenture was higher than that of the conventional denture. Stability being a time-dependent parameter might need longer follow-ups for further conclusions. Patient satisfaction with single implant retained overdenture was significantly higher than conventional complete dentures. Conclusion: Single implant mandibular overdenture has improved masticatory efficiency, clinical performance, and patient satisfaction compared to conventional complete dentures.

Abstract:Background: This study aimed to compare the perceived masticatory ability (PrMA) in completely edentulous patients (EDPs) with thermoplastic conventional complete dentures (CDs) versus single implant-retained mandibular overdentures. Methods: The current study was conducted in the outpatient Prosthodontic Clinic, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. PrMA was evaluated in 45 completely edentulous patients (46% males, mean age 50.4 ± 4.7 years). Each patient received a thermoplastic PMMA complete denture (Polyan IC TM Bredent GmbH & Co.KG, Germany). The PrMA was evaluated at one-month and six-month intervals of denture use. An immediate loading single implant was placed into the mid-symphyseal for each patient, and the denture was adjusted. Subsequently, the PrMA was reevaluated after one month and six months. The data were collected and statistically analyzed using the SPSS@V25 to assess the changes in PrMA. Results: The PrMA demonstrated improvement after six months of thermoplastic conventional denture use. However, this improvement was not statistically significant (p = 0.405). In addition, the PrMA showed a substantial increase following a single implant placement at one and six months (p < 0.001) of the overdenture use compared to the conventional denture. The PrMA insignificantly improved (p = 0.397) after six months of the single implant retained overdenture use. Discussion: The study's findings indicate that using immediate loading single implant-retained mandibular overdentures significantly improved PrMA in completely edentulous patients.

Abstract:Edentulous patients are often associated with decreased in the masticatory function, loss in vertical dimension, speech impairment and poor esthetics due to loss in facial musculature support. The traditional way for treating edentulous patients is a complete removable denture. However, the progressive tissue changes occur due to wearing the denture should be compensated by denture adjustment. In completely edentulous patients the implant supported overdentures is a common treatment plan which could improve oral function and comfort for edentulous patients. The concept of rehabilitation of full arch on four implants is a useful therapy in the treatment of an edentulous patient. The quadrilateral design showed enhanced results in regard to survival and success rate and minimal strain compared to curved (three implants) or linear (two implants) designs. Tilting the distal implant giving us various advantages as the implant reach a more posterior position so the length of the cantilever is reduced. Also it preserves related vital structures, avoid bone grafting and allows using longer implants that increases the implant primary stability due to increased implant-to-bone contact area, increases the inter-implant space, lead to better load distribution. The rehabilitation of edentulous mandible with telescopic overdenture supported by four parallel implants was a successful treatment option however, tilting the posterior implants 30 degree distally might present a several advantages regarding the increased anteroposterior spread which in turn decrease the load transmitted to the implant.

Abstract:Aim: Aim of this study was the evaluate the retention and biting force of conventional complete denture and after placement of a single implant in the mandible for an implant retained over-denture Material and methods Eight completely edentulous patients were selected. A single implant was inserted at the symphysis of the mandible and left to osseointergrate. During the osseointegration period a conventional complete denture was fabricated and inserted. Retention and biting force was measured at insertion and after 3 months of service. After osseointegration attachment was connected, space was formed in the fitting surface of the existing mandibular denture and retention silicon was placed. Retention and biting force were measured at insertion and after 3 months follow-up. Data were collected and statistically analyzed. Results: The retention mean values for the complete denture was 2.420±0.360, however the retention mean values for the single implant over-denture was 6.395±0.289. F=3.80 with statically significance difference between the groups of P 0.01 Conclusion: Single implant overdenture improved the retention and the biting force when compared with the complete denture, this has improved the quality of life and happiness.
Mandibular overdentures retained by 1 or 2 implants: a 5-year randomized clinical trial on implant stability and peri-implant outcomes

Abstract:Aim: This is a report of the 5-year results of a two-group parallel randomized clinical trial comparing longitudinal implant stability, and clinical and radiographic peri-implant outcomes of mandibular overdentures retained by one (1-IOD group) or two (2-IOD group) implants. Methods: All participants received 4.1 mm diameter tissue-level implants (Straumann® Standard Plus - SLActive®, Institut Straumann AG), installed in the mandible midline (1-IOD; n = 23) or the lateral incisor-canine area bilaterally (2-IOD; n = 24), and loaded after 3 weeks. Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) was measured using a resonance frequency device (Osstell® Mentor, Integration Diagnostics) at implant placement, after three weeks (loading), and at the 6-month, 1-, 3-, and 5-year follow-ups. Marginal bone loss and clinical implant outcomes (plaque, calculus, suppuration and bleeding) were assessed periodically up to 5 years after loading. Results: Only minor changes in marginal bone level were observed after 5 years (mean = 0.37; SD = 0.44 mm), and satisfactory and stable peri-implant parameters were observed throughout the 5-year follow-up. No significant differences between groups were found. Overall, the mean primary implant stability was considered high (> 70) for the two groups (1-IOD = 78.1 ± 4.5; 2-IOD = 78.0 ± 5.8). No noticeable changes were observed between implant insertion and loading. A marked increase was observed from insertion to the 6-month follow-up - the mean difference for the 1-IOD group was + 5.5 ± 5.5 (Effect size = 1.00), while for the 2-IOD group, the mean difference was + 6.0 ± 5.6 (Effect size = 1.08). No relevant changes were observed throughout the follow-up periods up to 5 years. Linear mixed-effect model regression showed no influence of the bone-related variables (p > 0.05) and the number of implants (p = 0.087), and a significant effect of the time variable (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Satisfactory peri-implant outcomes and stable secondary stability suggest good clinical performance and successful long-term osseointegration of the implants for single and two-implant mandibular overdentures. Using a single implant to retain a mandibular overdenture does not seem to result in detrimental implant loading over the five years of overdenture use. Clinical relevance: This study corroborates the use of a single implant to retain a mandibular denture.
Evaluation of retention and patient satisfaction with implant retained mandibular dentures: A clinical study

Abstract:Objective The aim of this clinical study was to compare the overall satisfaction and retention values of two types of commonly used attachment systems in implant supported mandibular overdentures. Materials and methods: : Prior to implant installation, conventional complete dentures were fabricated for 22 completely edentulous individuals. Two implants were placed in the canine region following the two-stage flapless implant surgical protocol. After 4 months of healing, patients were randomly allocated into two groups: group 1 received ball and socket attachments and group 2 received bar and clip attachments. Patient satisfaction was assessed by VAS questionnaire and retention values were recorded using custom made testing device attached to a force meter at baseline (at the pick-up visit), three, six and twelve months after implant supported prostheses insertion. Result: The study showed significant superior retention values for bar attachment than ball attachment. Patient’s satisfaction scores showed no significant difference between both type of prostheses throughout the study period; however, patients’ satisfaction rates were improved while retention values were reduced significantly by time. Conclusion: The selection of a specific type of implant attachment for implant supported overdentures is dependent on multiple dentist as well as patient related factors.
Clinical Peri-Implant Parameters and Marginal Bone Loss for Early Mandibular Implant Overdentures: A Follow-Up of 60 Months

Abstract:Background and Objectives: Despite the identified benefits of early implant loading, studies have questioned its advantages compared to delayed loading in edentulous patients. This study aimed to evaluate clinical peri-implant parameters and marginal bone loss around early placed and loaded mandibular implant overdentures with a 60-month follow-up. Materials and Methods: In this prospective cohort study, 43 patients were enrolled to receive 86 early loading sub-crestal dental implants through prosthetic guides. Implant overdentures were supported by two isolated implant locator attachments between two mental foramens. Clinical peri-implant parameters, including plaque index (PI), bleeding index (BI), peri-implant pocket depth (PIPD), and marginal bone loss (MBL) were evaluated using standardized techniques at 1, 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months follow-up. At 60 months, complications associated with implant overdentures (IOD's) were noted. The mean comparison of peri-implant clinical parameters was performed through ANOVA test. A p-value of ≤0.05 was taken as significant. Results: Out of the total 43 enrolled patients, 8 patients were lost during follow-up; as a result, 35 patients completed the 5 years follow-up. The mean values of PI, BI, and PIPD increased with no statistical difference (p > 0.05). For marginal bone loss, an increase in the mean values was noted at different time intervals with statistical differences (p < 0.001). The most common complications noted were loosening of the abutment, occlusal adjustment, retentive locator loosening and replacement, and relining of the denture. Conclusions: Early placement of IODs failed to prevent bone loss over time and was associated with complications, predominantly consisting of abutment loosening, occlusal adjustments, broken retentive locator components, relining, and rebasing.
Clinical Evaluation of the Long-Term Survival and Success Rates of Different Types of Implant-Supported Prostheses

Abstract:Background: Dental implants have been essential to the therapy of patients who are partially edentulous. Aim: Clinical evaluation of the long-term survival and success rates of different types of implant-supported prostheses. Materials and methods: Patients who had a healthy edentulous ridge of three missing teeth in the posterior jaw in which two or three dental implants were placed having any of three prostheses, namely, three-unit fixed dental prostheses (FPD) on two implants, three splinted crowns on three implants, and three splinted crowns on three implants were included. Results: The survival rate in all patients with dental implants having different types of prostheses was 94.9%. The survival rate in FPD, three splinted crowns, and three nonsplinted crowns was 100, 88.5, and 93.6% respectively. Conclusion: FPD loaded on two dental implants was found to have a greater long-term survival rate and success rate with a lower frequency of peri-implantitis and prosthodontic complications.
Evaluation of Denture Adhesive versus Single Implant on Complete Denture Retention and Patient Satisfaction

Abstract:Purpose: Evaluate the effect of denture adhesive versus single implant on complete denture retention and patient satisfaction. Materials and Methods: Fourteen completely edentulous male patients participated in a crossover study. Acrylic complete denture was constructed for each patient and after 30 days of the adaptation period, retention of lower denture was measured without using denture adhesive. Patients were instructed to use Protefix paste denture adhesive for 6 months. After 3 months of denture insertion with the use of denture adhesive, for each patient a single implant (3.5*13mm Anyone Two– piece dental implant, Mega Gen Implant System, Korea) was placed at the anterior midline region to retain mandibular denture and patients were permitted to continue using their complete dentures using denture adhesive for an additional three months to ensure implant osseointegration. After 3months of implant osseointegration, patients were recalled and abutments were attached to implant fixtures and attachments were then placed. Patients were then informed to avoid the use of denture adhesive. Retention of the mandibular denture and patient satisfaction were evaluated before using denture adhesives and at 1, 3, and 6 months after using denture adhesive and at 1, 3, and 6 months after implant placement without using denture adhesive.Data were statistically analysed by t student test. Results: Retention of mandibular denture and patient satisfaction were increased in both groups with no significance difference between them. Conclusions: Within the limitations of study, denture adhesive and a single implant can increase mandibular denture retention and patient satisfaction in completely edentulous patients.
Comparison of full‐arch mandibular reconstruction with dental implants using completely splinted or segmentally splinted prostheses with two different occlusal schemes: A finite‐element analysis

Abstract:Purpose This study aimed to comparatively analyze full‐arch mandibular reconstruction using dental implants. It focused on two distinct prosthesis configurations: completely splinted and segmentally splinted. These configurations were evaluated under two different occlusal schemes—group function and canine guidance—utilizing finite element analysis (FEA). Materials and Methods The methodology involved developing three‐dimensional finite element models from computed tomography data acquired from an edentulous patient. Six dental implants were utilized to complete the mandibular reconstruction. Prosthetic reconstruction was conducted with completely and segmentally splinted prostheses, each employing group function and canine guidance occlusal schemes. Consequently, four distinct models were analyzed. Following meshing, a 200 N load was applied at a 30‐degree angle. Subsequent evaluation encompassed stress, strain distribution, and the overall deformation of the implants, crowns, and underlying bone structure assessment. Results The group function occlusal scheme generally exhibited lower stress values than the canine guidance occlusal scheme, with three‐piece prostheses demonstrating even lower stress levels than one‐piece prostheses. Conversely, the canine guidance occlusal scheme exhibited higher stress values overall. Conclusion The findings of this study may assist clinicians in selecting the most effective occlusal scheme and prosthetic configuration for implant‐supported mandibular restorations, potentially enhancing treatment outcomes and reducing the risk of mechanical complications. In summary, results indicated that group function loading, irrespective of prosthesis type, offers more uniform load distribution and lower stress values, making it a preferable choice over canine guidance. Within the group function occlusal scheme, three‐piece prostheses demonstrated lower stress values than one‐piece prostheses, but the clinical significance of this difference appears to be minimal.

Abstract:Patients wearing conventional removable dentures often complain particularly about the instability of the mandibular denture. Due to instability of mandibular dentures, there is an increase in the severity of mandibular atrophy. Furthermore, denture instability leads to a feeling of insecurity, inefficient mastication, and overall dissatisfaction with the prosthesis. Placement of endosseous dental implants to retain and support mandibular overdentures or fixed complete dentures have been developed and studied as a method for solving the problem of instability associated with conventional dentures. Implant-retained dentures have many advantages compared to conventional removable dentures. Occasionally, anatomical or financial limitations may prohibit the patient to use of a fixed implant-retained prosthesis. In these cases, a removable implant-retained denture with a limited number of implants may be the possible choice. The aim of this article is to review the literature to compare implant-retained or supported dentures versus conventional dentures in terms of masticatory efficiency, stability, and patient satisfaction.
Complete Removable Denture Retained by a Symphyseal Single Implant: A Case Report

Abstract:Complete denture is a real challenge for any practitioner. The aim of implantology is to optimize prosthetic balance and ensure that prostheses are perfectly integrated from a bio-functional viewpoint, despite an unfavorable anatomophysiological context. Here, we present a case managed in our department concerning a mandibular complete removable denture retained by a medial symphyseal implant. A 61-year-old fully edentulous mandibular patient with a Kennedy Applegate class I edentulous maxilla in good general health consulted for the renewal of his mandibular complete denture, which was deemed unstable and non-retentive. The exo-oral examination was normal. The mandibular crest was heavily resorbed, especially posteriorly, and covered with slightly inflammatory fibromucosa. The patient refused bone augmentation surgery. We performed a piezographic mandibular prosthesis retained by a single standard implant at the level of the mandibular symphysis. The prosthesis was stable and retentive. Masticatory comfort and efficiency were satisfactory and the psychological integration of the prosthesis was improved. Several studies have shown that a single symphyseal implant is a therapeutic alternative that completes the therapeutic range in specific cases. It should be limited to the mandibular arch in elderly patients with reduced bone volume. Given the lack of randomized controlled trials, routine use of this new approach is not recommended, and further studies are required.

Abstract:Objectives The study compares three minimally invasive approaches for the retention of implant supported mandibular complete dentures, particularly focusing on patient satisfaction. Background The McGill Consensus Statement recommends restoration of the edentulous mandible with an overdenture retained on two implants. Alternatively, less invasive treatment concepts with shorter treatment times have been developed for critical cases. Material and Methods Thirty‐nine patients (with a total of 78 implants) with advanced mandibular bone atrophy were randomly assigned to three groups: "single standard implant‐retained overdentures" (SSO) and "mini‐implant‐retained overdentures" (MO), which was further subdivided into "two mini‐implant‐retained overdentures" (TMO) and "four mini‐implant‐retained overdentures" (FMO). The technical and biological parameters and oral health‐related quality of life were evaluated over a 10‐year period. Data were analysed for group comparisons and longitudinal trend analysis. Results Sixteen patients (42%) dropped out during the study period. At the time of follow‐up, 98.4% of the implants were in situ. The first need for technical intervention occurred after 3.8 ± 1.1, 4.2 ± 0.9, and 4.6 ± 1.3 years in the TMO, SSO, and FMO groups, respectively. Attachment exchange (39%) was the most frequently performed intervention in all groups. Healthy peri‐implant and mucosal conditions were observed in 74% and 40% of patients after 1 and 10 years, respectively. The OHIP‐G14 score was 22.6 before implantation, 7.6 at 1 year (effect size [ES]: 1.1), and 5.4 at 10 years (ES: 2.3). Conclusion Irrespective of the minimal concept selected, complete mandibular dentures retained on implants improved the subjective perception of the quality of life. Application of these alternative minimal concepts may be practical in clinical practice.

Abstract:In fully edentulous patients, the support of a lower dental prosthesis by two implants could improve the chewing ability, retention, and stability of the prosthesis. Despite high success rates of dental implants, complications, such as peri-implantitis, do occur. The latter is a consequence of crestal bone loss and might be related to the implant surface and peri-implant soft tissue thickness. The aim of this paper is to describe the effect of implant surface roughness and soft tissue thickness on crestal bone remodeling, peri-implant health, and patient-centered outcomes. The mandibular overdenture supported by two implants is used as a split-mouth model to scrutinize these aims. The first study compared implants placed equicrestal to implants placed biologically (i.e., dependent on site-specific soft tissue thickness). The second clinical trial compared implants with a minimally to a moderately rough implant neck. Both studies reported an improvement in oral health-related quality of life and a stable peri-implant health after three years follow-up. Only equicrestal implant placement yielded significantly higher implant surface exposure, due to the establishment of the biologic width. Within the limitations of this study, it can be concluded that an implant supported mandibular overdenture significantly improves the quality of life, with limited biologic complications and high survival rates of the implants.

Abstract:Objectives The objective of this study is to analyze the clinical and radiographic outcomes of implant‐supported fixed protheses with cantilever extensions (ISFPCs) in the partially edentulous anterior mandible. Materials and Methods Patients who received anterior mandible implant restoration between January 2016 and December 2021 were included. Patients with two, three, or four continuous missing teeth receiving adjacent implant supported single‐unit crowns (ISSCs), ISFPCs, implant‐supported fixed protheses without cantilever extensions (ISFPNs) were divided into groups: ISSC+ISSC, ISFPC, ISSC+ISFPC, three‐unit ISFPN, ISFPC+ISFPC, or four‐unit ISFPN, respectively. We recorded and evaluated survival rates, mechanical and biological complications, peri‐implant marginal bone loss (MBL), esthetic outcomes, and patient perceptions. Statistical analysis was performed using linear mixed models (LMM). Results The study included 87 patients and 152 implants. No implant loss occurred during an average follow‐up of 3.48 ± 1.85 years (range: 1–7 years). According to LMM models, prosthetic type had a statistically significant impact on MBL during follow‐up periods, in favor of the ISFPC and ISFPC+ISFPC groups (0.16 ± 0.48 mm vs. 0.51 ± 0.49 mm, p = .034; 0.22 ± 0.49 mm vs. 0.60 ± 0.62 mm, p = .043, respectively). Abstract:The positive impact of implant interventions on dental patient-reported outcomes is an essential parameter of treatment effectiveness. This study assessed the 2-year changes in patient satisfaction and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of edentulous patients treated with a four mini implant mandibular overdenture (IOD) METHODS: The study was planned as a 2 × 2 factorial randomized clinical trial that tested two surgical approaches (flapped or flapless) and two loading protocols (immediate and delayed) using a titanium-zirconium mini implant (Straumann Mini Implant System®) and a PEEK retentive system (Straumann® Optiloc® Retentive System). Outcome measures (OHIP-Edent scores and the McGill Denture Satisfaction questionnaire) were assessed before treatment and at the 3-, 6-, 12-, and 24-month follow-ups. The Friedman test and multiple regression using Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) were used for data analysis, considering the per-protocol (PP) and intention-to-treat (ITT) approaches RESULTS: Seventy-four patients were randomized to the study groups. No implant failure occurred during the study period. Marked improvement in all post-treatment periods compared to baseline were observed for the two outcomes. No significant effect of patient's gender, age, and surgical protocol on the study outcomes. The effect of treatment provision was significant for the two outcomes in the PP and ITT approaches (p < 0.001). A barely significant positive effect of the immediate loading was observed for OHIP-Edent in the PP approach (p = 0.020) CONCLUSION: IOD treatment significantly improved patient-reported outcomes measures, with sustained benefits over the two years of overdenture use, and can be considered a promising treatment option in for the edentulous mandible.
