Abstract:Purpose: The objective of the study was to investigate efficacy and mechanisms of mouse adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (mADSC-Exos) in the benzalkonium chloride (BAC)-induced mouse dry eye model. Methods: Exosomes in the mADSC culture supernatant were isolated by ultracentrifugation. Western blotting, nanoparticle tracking analysis, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize mADSC-Exos. An experimental mouse model of dry eye was established by instillation of 0.2% BAC. mADSC-Exos were administered following BAC treatment. The positive control group was treated with commercial eye drops (0.1% pranoprofen). Corneal fluorescein staining, tear secretion, and tear film break-up time (BUT) were evaluated, and histologic analysis of the cornea and conjunctiva was performed by hematoxylin and eosin and periodic acid-Schiff staining. Apoptosis in the corneal epithelium was detected with the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling assay and by Western blotting. Levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the cornea and conjunctiva were evaluated by flow cytometry, and mRNA and protein levels of NLR family pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) pathway components were assessed by quantitative real-time PCR and Western blotting, respectively. Results: mADSC-Exos were characterized as vesicles with a bilayer membrane. The particle size distribution peak was at 134 nm. mADSC-Exos specifically expressed cluster of differentiation (CD)9, CD63, and CD81. mADSC-Exos treatment repaired ocular surface damage. Additionally, mADSC-Exos inhibited cell apoptosis, decreased the levels of interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-1α, interferon (IFN)-γ, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and increased levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. Meanwhile, NLRP3 inflammasome activation and upregulation of caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-18 were reversed by mADSC-Exos. Conclusions: mADSC-Exos alleviate ocular surface inflammation, suggesting that it is a promising treatment for dry eye.
BMSC-derived exosomes regulate the Treg/Th17 balance through the miR-21-5p/TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway to alleviate dry eye symptoms in mice

Abstract:Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC)–derived exosomes (BMSC-Exos) have a variety of biological functions and are extensively involved in the regulation of inflammatory diseases, as well as tissue repair and regeneration. However, the mechanism of action of these compounds in dry eye disease (DED) in mice is still unclear. This study demonstrated that the Treg/Th17 ratio was strongly imbalanced in DED clinical samples. BMSC-Exos can modulate the Treg/Th17 balance, improve the integrity of the corneal epithelial layer, and ameliorate DED progression in mice. Mechanistically, BMSC-Exos dramatically decreased the levels of IL-17 and IL-22; increased the levels of IL-4, IL-10, and TGF-β1; and increased tear secretion and the number of goblet cells in the conjunctiva in mice, thus alleviating the progression of DED. This effect is achieved by BMSC-Exos through the delivery of miR-21-5p to target and restrain TLR4, thereby restraining the MyD88/NF-κB pathway. Our study showed that the upregulation of miR-21-5p in BMSC-Exos may be a therapeutic target for DED. These findings support new ideas and a basis for treating DED, as well as for further study of the application value of exosomes in alleviating DED.

Abstract:Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and mechanisms of human umbilical cord-derived MSC-derived extracellular vesicles (hucMSC-EVs) in a mouse model of desiccation-induced dry eye disease (DED). Methods: hucMSC-EVs were enriched by ultracentrifugation. The DED model was induced by desiccating environment combined with scopolamine administration. The DED mice were divided into the hucMSC-EVs group, fluorometholone (FML) group, PBS group, and blank control group. Tear secretion, corneal fluorescein staining, the cytokine profiles in tears and goblet cells, TUNEL-positive cell, and CD4+ cells were examined to assess therapeutic efficiency. The miRNAs in the hucMSC-EVs were sequenced, and the top 10 were used for miRNA enrichment analysis and annotation. The targeted DED-related signaling pathway was further verified by using RT‒qPCR and western blotting. Results: Treatment with hucMSC-EVs increased the tear volume and maintained corneal integrity in DED mice. The cytokine profile in the tears of the hucMSC-EVs group presented with a lower level of proinflammatory cytokines than PBS group. Moreover, hucMSC-EVs treatment increased goblet cell density and inhibited cell apoptosis and CD4+ cell infiltration. Functional analysis of the top 10 miRNAs in hucMSC-EVs showed a high correlation with immunity. Among them, miR-125 b, let-7b, and miR-6873 were conserved between humans and mice and were associated with the IRAK1/TAB2/NF-κB pathway that was activated in DED. Furthermore, IRAK1/TAB2/NF-κB pathway activation and the abnormal expression of IL-4, IL-8, IL-10, IL-13, IL-17, and TNF-α were reversed by hucMSC-EVs. Conclusions: hucMSCs-EVs alleviate DED signs, suppress inflammation and restore homeostasis of the corneal surface by multitargeting the IRAK1/TAB2/NF-κB pathway via certain miRNAs.

Abstract:Abstract The present study demonstrated the protective effects of low-molecular-weight adipose-derived stem cell-conditioned medium (LADSC-CM) in a mouse model of dry eye syndrome. Mice subjected to desiccating stress and benzalkonium chloride had decreased tear secretion, impaired corneal epithelial tight junction with microvilli, and decreased conjunctival goblet cells. Topical application of adipose-derived stem cell-conditioned medium (ADSC-CM) stimulated lacrimal tear secretion, preserved tight junction and microvilli of the corneal epithelium, and increased the density of goblet cells and MUC16 expression in the conjunctiva. The low-molecular-weight fractions (< 10 kDa and 10 kDa or > 3 kDa fractions of ADSC-CM. In the in vitro study, desiccation for 10 min or hyperosmolarity (490 osmols) for 24 h caused decreased viability of human corneal epithelial cells, which were reversed by LADSC-CM. The active ingredients in the LADSC-CM were lipophobic and stable after heating and lyophilization. Our study demonstrated that LADSC-CM had beneficial effects on experimental dry eye. It is worthy of further exploration for the active ingredient(s) and the mechanism.

MicroRNA Therapy for Dry Eye Disease

Abstract:Purpose: We tested the role of microRNA-328 in dry eye disease (DED). Benzalkonium chloride (BAC) has been used to induce DED in animal models. We first demonstrated that both BAC and hyperosmotic stress induced overexpression of miR-328 in corneal cells and then tested whether anti-miR-328 could be a new therapy. Methods: BAC was instilled to both eyes of 41 rabbits and 19 mice from day 0 to 21 to induce DED. Animals of each species were divided to receive topical instillation of saline or anti-miR-328 eye drops between day 8 and 21. The DED signs were assessed by corneal fluorescein staining, histological examination, apoptosis of corneal cells, and inflammatory cytokines in rabbit eyes. For mice, only corneal fluorescein staining was assessed for the therapeutic effects. The corneal fluorescein staining scores ranged from 0 of no staining to 4 of coalescent. Results: For the rabbits, the staining score was significantly reduced (P = 0.038) after the 14-day anti-miR-328 treatment (n = 42 eyes), but the score was not improved by saline treatment (n = 40 eyes). Furthermore, rabbit eyes treated with anti-miR-328 had thicker corneal epithelium (P = 9.4 × 10-5), fewer apoptotic cells in corneal epithelium (P = 0.002), and stroma (P = 0.029) compared with the saline-treated eyes. Anti-miR-328 was more effective than saline to reduce the block of orifices of Meibomian glands, although such an effect was only marginally significant (P = 0.059). Similarly, anti-miR-328 was more effective than saline in reducing corneal staining in mouse eyes (P = 0.005). Conclusion: Overexpression of miR-328 may contribute to DED. Anti-miR-328 protects corneal cells and promotes re-epithelialization for DED treatment.
MSC-Derived Small Extracellular Vesicles Attenuate Autoimmune Dacryoadenitis by Promoting M2 Macrophage Polarization and Inducing Tregs via miR-100-5p

Abstract:Background Mesenchymal stem cell-derived small extracellular vesicles (MSC-sEVs) have been increasingly proved as promising immunomodulators against some autoimmune disorders. However, the possible effect and the underlying mechanism of MSC-sEVs in autoimmune dry eye have been rarely studied. Methods Small extracellular vesicles from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSC-sEVs) were subconjunctivally injected to rabbit dry eye model, and their preventive or therapeutical effects were assessed by recording the clinical and histological scores. Quantitative real-time PCR (Q-PCR), western blot and flow cytometry were performed to evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of hUC-MSC-sEVs on macrophages and T regulatory cells (Tregs) both in vivo and in vitro , and the in vitro T cell proliferation was detected by Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) assay. In addition, high expression of miR-100-5p in hUC-MSC-sEVs was identified by Q-PCR, and the functional role of sEVs-miR-100-5p on macrophages was explored by a series of co-culture experiments using sEVs derived from hUC-MSCs transfected with miR-100-5p inhibitor. Results We firstly demonstrated that hUC-MSC-sEVs had the preventive and therapeutical effects on rabbit autoimmune dacryoadenitis, an animal model of Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) dry eye. Further investigation revealed that hUC-MSC-sEVs administration effectively elicited macrophages into an anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype and elevated the proportion of Tregs both in vivo and in vitro , which contributed to reduced inflammation and improved tissue damage. Importantly, hUC-MSC-sEVs-educated macrophages with M2-like phenotype exhibited strong capacity to inhibit CD4+ T cell proliferation and promote Treg generation in vitro . Mechanistically, miR-100-5p was highly enriched in hUC-MSC-sEVs, and knockdown of miR-100-5p in hUC-MSC-sEVs partially blunted the promotion of hUC-MSC-sEVs on M2 macrophage polarization and even attenuated the effect of hUC-MSC-sEVs-educated macrophages on T cell suppression and Treg expansion. Conclusion Our data indicated that hUC-MSC-sEVs alleviated autoimmune dacryoadenitis by promoting M2 macrophage polarization and Treg generation possibly through shuttling miR-100-5p. This study sheds new light on the application of MSC-sEVs as a promising therapeutic method for SS dry eye.

Abstract:Microglia-mediated neuroinflammatory responses are recognized as a predominant factor during high intraocular pressure (IOP)-induced retinal and optic nerve injury along with potential therapeutic targets for the disease. Our previous research indicated that mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) treatment could reduce high IOP-induced neuroinflammatory responses through the TLR4 pathway in a rat model without apparent cell replacement and differentiation, suggesting that the anti-neuroinflammatory properties of MSCs are potentially mediated by paracrine signaling. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-neuroinflammatory effect of human adipose tissue-derived extracellular vesicles (ADSC-EVs) in microbead-induced ocular hypertension (OHT) animals and to explore the underlying mechanism since extracellular vesicles (EVs) are the primary transporters for cell secretory action. The anti-neuroinflammatory effect of ADSC-EVs on LPS-stimulated BV-2 cells in vitro and OHT-induced retinal and optic nerve injury in vivo was investigated. According to the in vitro research, ADSC-EV treatment reduced LPS-induced microglial activation and the TLR4/NF-κB proinflammatory cascade response axis in BV-2 cells, such as CD68, iNOS, TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β, TLR4, p-38 MAPK, NF-κB. According to the in vivo data, intravitreal injection of ADSC-EVs promoted RGC survival and function, reduced microglial activation, microglial-derived neuroinflammatory responses, and TLR4/MAPK/NF-κB proinflammatory cascade response axis in the OHT mice. Our findings provide preliminary evidence for the RGC protective and microglia-associated neuroinflammatory reduction effects of ADSC-EVs by inhibiting the TLR4/MAPK/NF-κB proinflammatory cascade response in OHT mice, indicating the therapeutic potential ADSC-EVs or adjunctive therapy for glaucoma.

Abstract:OBJECTIVES To determine the long-term change in static admittance values of subjects with a positive or negative history of otitis media (OM) and ventilation tube (VT) insertion; and to investigate the association between static admittance values and tympanic membrane abnormalities. DESIGN Prospective follow-up study. SUBJECTS A total of 358 subjects with or without a history of OM (OM+ or OM-) and VT insertion (VT+ or VT-) derived from a birth cohort that had been observed from preschool to adulthood. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES Otomicroscopic and tympanometric data obtained at subject ages 8 and 18 years. RESULTS Static admittance values generally increased with age. At age 8 years, static admittance values were highest in OM+VT+ ears and lowest in OM- ears. At age 18 years, the difference between OM+VT+ and OM+VT- ears was larger, while the difference in static admittance values between OM+VT- and OM- ears had disappeared. In the group of VT+ subjects, the proportion of extreme static admittance values increased from 16% to 35% between ages 8 and 18 years. Correlation coefficients of individual static admittance values at 8 and 18 years were high in all groups and ranged from 0.61 to 0.85. We could not demonstrate an intermediate role of tympanic membrane abnormalities in the relation between VTs and static admittance at young adult age, except for atrophy. CONCLUSIONS The static admittance value at age 8 years was a strong predictor for the value at age 18 years. A VT+ status was associated with a larger increase in static admittance than can be explained on the basis of age alone.
Exosomes from Limosilactobacillus fermentum Ameliorate Benzalkonium Chloride-Induced Inflammation in Conjunctival Cells

Abstract:Dry eye is characterized by persistent instability and decreased tear production, which are accompanied by epithelial lesions and inflammation on the surface of the eye. In our previous paper, we reported that supplementation with Limosilactobacillus fermentum HY7302 (HY7302) could inhibit corneal damage in a benzalkonium chloride (BAC)-induced mouse model of dry eye, through its effects in gut microbiome regulation. The aim of this study was to determine what functional extracellular substances can alter the inflammatory response of conjunctival cells. We isolated exosomes from HY7302 probiotic culture supernatant, analyzed their morphological characteristics, and found that their average size was 143.8 ± 1.1 nm, which was smaller than the exosomes from the L. fermentum KCTC 3112 strain. In addition, HY7302-derived exosomes significantly reduced the levels of genes encoding pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin (IL)-20, IL-8, IL-6, and IL-1B, in BAC-treated human conjunctival cells. Moreover, HY7302-derived exosomes significantly increased the levels of genes encoding tight junction proteins, including TJP1, TJP2, and occludin-1, in Caco-2 cells. Lastly, the HY7302 exosomes reduced mRNA expression levels of IL1B, IL20, IL6, IL8, and NFAT5 in a transwell coculture system. Our findings indicate that HY7302 exosomes have potential for use in the treatment of ocular inflammation-related dry eye disease, through gut–eye axis communication via exosomes.

Abstract:We explored the therapeutic efficacy of Mesenchymal stromal cells-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs) and its inhibition of the functions of dendritic cells (DCs) in dry eye disease (DED). MSC-EVs were isolated from the culture supernatants of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and characterized. In vitro, human corneal epithelial cells (HCECs) were cultured in hyperosmotic medium to simulate the DED hyperosmotic environment and treated with MSC-EVs. Cell viability was assessed, and the expression of inflammatory cytokines was quantified. Next, we induced DED in female C57BL/6 mice and divided the mice into groups treated with either MSC-EVs or phosphate buffer solution (PBS) eye drops. Disease severity was assessed; mRNA expression of inflammatory cytokines was analyzed by RT-PCR; and Th17 cells were detected by flow cytometry. Lastly, we evaluated DCs by immunofluorescence and flow cytometric analysis to assess its amounts and maturation. MSC-EVs showed protective effects on HCECs under hyperosmotic stress in vitro, suppressing the expression of inflammatory cytokines. In vivo, mice topically treated with MSC-Evs presented reduced DED disease severity compared to PBS-treated mice. MSC-Evs downregulated the expression of inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β, as well as the frequency of Th17 cells. Further investigation showed that MSC-EVs suppressed the increase of amounts and the maturation of DCs in DED. Changes of morphological characters of DCs were also inhibited by MSC-EVs. Our study revealed that MSC-EVs suppressed ocular surface inflammation by inhibiting DCs activation-mediated Th17 immune responses, explicating the therapeutic potential of MSC-EVs in DED and other ocular surface diseases.

Abstract:Abstract An important mechanism involved in dry eye (DE) is the association between tear hyperosmolarity and inflammation severity. Inflammation in DE might be mediated by the NLRP3 inflammasome, which activated by exposure to reactive oxygen species (ROS). A combination of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) may influence DE through this mechanism, thus avoiding defects of signal drug. In this study, we assessed whether treatment comprising CMC combined with α-MSH could ameliorate ocular surface function; we found that it promoted tear secretion, reduced the density of fluorescein sodium staining, enhanced the number of conjunctival goblet cells, and reduced the number of corneal apoptotic cells. Investigation of the underlying mechanism suggested that the synergistic effect of combined treatment alleviated DE inflammation through reduction of ROS level and inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasome in human corneal epithelial cells. These findings indicate that combined CMC + α-MSH treatment could ameliorate lesions and restore ocular surface function in patients with DE through reduction of ROS level and inhibition of NLRP3 signalling.

Abstract:Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the main cause of vision loss in diabetic patients, which cannot be completely resolved by typical blood sugar control. Inflammation influences the development of DR, so reducing the inflammatory response in DR patients is crucial to the prevention of DR. Therefore, we explored the regulatory effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) exosomes on inflammation in DR mice. In order to analyze the mechanism of action, we used BMSC exosomal miR-146a to treat microglias in DR mice to observe cellular changes and expression of inflammatory factors. It was found that BMSC exosomal miR-146a reduced the levels of proliferating cell antigen and B-cell lymphoma-2 in microglias of DR mice and increased Bcl-2-related X with cysteine aspartic protease-3. By analyzing the expression of inflammatory factors, we found that BMSC exosomal miR-146a reduced the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, which suggested that miR-146a can alleviate inflammation in DR mice. Further exploration found that miR-146a reduced the activity of TLR4 and increased the activity of MyD88 and NF-κB. Furthermore, the overexpression of TLR4 reversed the effects of miR-146a on the proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammation of microglias. Our study demonstrated that BMSC exosomal miR-146a can regulate the inflammatory response of DR by mediating the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway, providing an experimental basis for the prevention and treatment of DR.

Interleukin-4 deficiency enhances Th1 responses and crescentic glomerulonephritis in mice.

Abstract:Evidence suggests that crescentic glomerulonephritis (GN) is due to T helper cell 1 (Th1) directed delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH)-like injury. As endogenous interleukin (IL)-4, (the pivotal cytokine in Th2 responses) may attenuate Th1 responses in this disease, we compared the development of crescentic GN, induced by a planted antigen, in mice genetically deficient in IL-4 (IL-4-/-) with disease in normal mice (IL-4+/+). IL-4-/- mice developed more severe GN with increased renal impairment (CCr 35 +/- 7 microliters/min vs. 133 +/- 14 microliters/min, P < 0.002) and crescent formation (55.7 +/- 8.4% vs. 4.9 +/- 1.2%, P < 0.002). This was associated with increased glomerular fibrin deposition, glomerular CD4+ T cell infiltration and macrophage recruitment. Systemically, IL-4-/- mice showed an increased antigen specific Th1 response indicated by increased skin DTH, and increased IgG3 and IgG2b. Decreased IgG1 levels indicated a reduced Th2 response. These results demonstrate a protective role for endogenous IL-4 in crescentic GN. They show that IL-4 deficiency promotes crescentic glomerular injury and amplifies local and systemic Th1 responses. They support the hypothesis that crescent formation results from Th1 immune responses to antigens in the glomerulus.
Involvement of aberrant acinar cell proliferation in scopolamine-induced dry eye mice

Abstract:Dry eye is a multifactorial disease that causes dryness, inflammation and damage of ocular surface. Subcutaneous injection of the muscarinic cholinergic antagonist scopolamine under desiccating stress reduces tear production and induces dry eye symptoms in mice. However, the expression profile and pathogenic changes of the lacrimal gland remain incompletely understood. In the present study, we performed comparative transcriptomic analysis of lacrimal glands from the control and scopolamine-treated mice. Primary analysis identified 677 upregulated genes and 269 downregulated genes in the lacrimal gland of mice with scopolamine treatment. Unexpectedly, KEGG pathway and hierarchical clustering analysis showed the enrichment of "DNA replication" and "cell cycle" categories in the upregulated genes. Subsequently, we confirmed that the acinar cells were the major proliferating cells of lacrimal gland, which exhibited significant increasing of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) expression after scopolamine treatment, accompanied with the upregulation of DNA damage marker γ-H2AX. More importantly, both prophylactic and therapeutic administration of the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor AT7519 rescued the tear reduction and alleviated dry eye severity in the scopolamine-treated mice, including corneal epithelial barrier function, lacrimal and corneal inflammation, and conjunctival goblet cell density. Therefore, we conclude that aberrant acinar cell proliferation is involved in the scopolamine-induced tear reduction and dry eye onset, which can be improved by AT7519 treatment.

Abstract:A high speed data acquisition system based on FPGA and DSP is introduced in the paper. In this system, we use EP2C5Q208 FPGA of Cyclone II which belongs to Altera. Data is captured by AD and be send to FPGA for advance data processing. And then data will be Processed in DSP. In the end, they will reach the PC for record and display by PCI. The simping speed of the system can reach 150MSPS, it is suitable for applications in most of the high speed data acquisition Situation.
α-MSH ameliorates corneal surface dysfunction in scopolamine-induced dry eye rats and human corneal epithelial cells via enhancing EGFR expression

Abstract:<p>Dry eye (DE) is a chronic, multifactorial ocular surface disease associated with visual disturbance, tear film instability, hyperosmolarity, ocular surface inflammation and damage. Effective intervention is necessary to control this disease. In this study we topically applied α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) on the ocular surface of scopolamine-induced DE rats and found that it promoted tear secretion, reduced tear breakup time and fluorescein sodium staining and increased the number of conjunctival goblet cells. To investigate the mechanism, protein array was conducted, which showed that α-MSH exerted its effects via epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) in the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Furthermore, <em>in vitro</em> experiments showed that α-MSH protected human corneal epithelial cells (hCECs) by maintaining their migration ability and viability and decreasing apoptosis. However, blockade of EGFR abolished these protective effects. Moreover, α-MSH decreased the level of autophagy in benzalkonium chloride (BAC)-stressed hCECs via EGFR. These results demonstrated that α-MSH ameliorated lesions and restored ocular surface functions by upregulating EGFR expression.</p>

Abstract:<section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Objective</h3><p>Dry eye syndrome in which tear fluid quality or abnormality, or kinetic abnormality is caused by various reasons, resulting in decreased tear film stability. In recent years, more and more results from the studies indicate that miRNA alterations are involved in dry eye syndrome. And miRNA‐146a‐5p is a key regulator to regulate the inflammatory response. In this paper, we demonstrated whether miRNA‐146a‐5p could cure dry eye syndrome by regulating target genes based on network analysis.</p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Methods</h3><p>In current study, we collected the blood of patients with dry eye disease served as a model group; the blood of healthy people was served as control group. The expression of miRNA‐146a‐5p in the patients was detected by RT‐PCR, the genes controlled by miRNA‐146a‐5p were predicted by TargetScan, miRDB, miRWalk, and PicTar databases, and the genes regulated by miRNA‐146a‐5p which relative with dry eye disease were selected by drawing Venn diagram.</p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Results</h3><p>The comparison of the general information between patients and healthy people was no significant difference, and it indicated that the two groups were comparable. The results of databases showed that IRAK1 was one of the target genes regulated by miRNA‐146a‐5p, and it is related to dry eye disease. The expression of miRNA‐146a‐5p was negatively related to IRAK1 mRNA and protein, while IRAK1 had a positive correlation with IL‐6, TNF‐α, and CBP proteins.</p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Conclusion</h3><p>These results emphasized that miRNA‐146a‐5p could inhibit the expression of IRAK1, IL‐6, TNF‐α, and CBP to help reduce the inflammatory response in dry eye syndrome.</p></section>
