In this article, there are some text corrections that need to be incorporated. The original article has been corrected. The authors wish to make the following corrections to this paper: In the Result section in the , "Type of the initial repair had no statically significant relationship with in-hospital mortality with a p-value of 0.12, however in multivariable analysis, cross-clamp time had a statistically significant relation with mortality (p = 0.4)." should instead read "Type of the initial repair had no statistically significant relationship with in-hospital mortality with a p-value of 0.12, however in multivariable analysis, cross-clamp time had a statistically significant relation with mortality (p = 0.04). And "The relationship between the type of the initial repair and the need for reoperation didn't reach a statically significant value (p = 0.9)." should instead read "The relationship between the type of the initial repair and the need for reoperation didn't reach a statistically significant value (p = 0.9)". The authors confirm that the mistakes do not affect the results and conclusions of the study and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this mistake.

Abstract:We present a 23-year-old man with distal humerus osteoid osteoma referring to our hospital with pain and progressive stiffness. The patient has been suffering from the disease for two years without a certain diagnosis. The radiographies of elbow did not reveal the pathology but further CT scan and MRI studies demonstrated the tumor. The en block resection of the tumor resolved the pain immediately but range of motion remained restricted.

Abstract:Single crystal lithium niobate is a commonly used in optical electronic applications due to its variety of optical effects. However, it is a fairly difficult material to pattern and etching typically induces rough sidewalls. As a result of these limitations, commercial devices are typically use diffusion-type processes which only creates a small index increase. These devices have large footprints and therefore are costly. Lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) is a technology created to circumvent some of these problems. It consist of a thin film of lithium niobate bonded to an insulating layer, which is then bonded to a host substrate. This allows compact structures due to the higher index confinement achievable. However, propagation loss is still prohibitive, due to the roughness induced by etching processes. We seek to characterize the propagation loss of waveguides in LNOI, and also to reduce the propagation losses.

Abstract:Wide variations are observed in the potency of allergen preparations available for use on humans. There are numerous methods of in vivo or in vitro testing: skin testing, passive anaphylaxis testing on animals, study of precipitins, histamine release tests on human leukocytes, radio-immunological assay test (RAST), blasticlymphocyte transformation test (TTB). The first investigations seemed to show that the allergenic potency of a large number of inducing substances was due to proteic activity; this gave rise to the theory that potency could be evaluated by protein nitrogen units (PNU). However, the protein content of an allergenic extract is not always active. In addition, natural specific proteins are altered during the extraction process or subsequently during preservation. Where the active antigen is known, comparison of different testing with various preparations may be made. The results show excellent correlation between the two biological results (cutaneous reaction and histamine release) and the content of E antigen. No relation with PNU has been observed. Certain authors propose the following: skin testing, PNU titration, dosage of certain elements (polysaccharides, lipids, phosphates, etc.), RAST. The great differences observed between the value of skin testing and the RAST may be due to the large number of active antigens in different 'dusts' and to the fact that the RAST method measures only IgE whereas allergic activity of these allergens is no doubt associated with other types of antibodies. The complexity of the problem shows that a great many studies are still necessary to provide a satisfactory solution.
