Abstract:BACKGROUND: Evidence based practice is essential in the provision of high-quality contemporary nursing practice. Yet nursing students often lack an understanding of the research process because applied research experience is rarely facilitated in undergraduate nursing programmes. Students research knowledge is mostly gained via classroom based theoretical teaching; however, it is a challenging subject to teach and is often evaluated poorly by students who find the subject uninteresting and difficult to apply to their clinical practice.AIM: The aim of the study was to explore the experiences of student nurses after undertaking a nurse led primary research study placement.METHODS: The study explores the students' experiences of a research placement using a phenomenological approach with the data collection method of drawings and narration which were then subject to Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis as a data analysis method.SETTINGS: This study was undertaken with 18 nursing students who were enrolled in a United Kingdom university, who had recently participated in a nurse-led research study exploring the use of sensors to detect atrial fibrillation in members of the public in a supermarket.RESULTS: The following themes were developed by the researchers: Practice makes perfect, Enhancing communication, Research attitude, Making a difference, Increased confidence, Enhanced skills, Researcher collaborations, The views of others.CONCLUSIONS: Students valued the research placement; the experience provided insight into the conduct of research in primary health and allowed students to learn about research in an experiential way which proved to be more effective than usual classroom methods. Students' communication skills were enhanced, through interacting with the public in a different way, who were keen to engage with them because of their student status.

The journey to becoming a graduate nurse: a study of the lived experience of part-time post-registration students

Abstract:Following a period of dissatisfaction with the current provision of continuing professional education (CPE) in nursing, the ENB Higher Award/ BSc (Hons) Professional Practice was developed. This phenomenological study investigated the lived experience of nine students on this course, exploring the impact of a part-time modular post-registration degree on their personal and professional lives. Taped unstructured interviews were used to collect data. The analytical process revealed that their experiences could be symbolised as a journey consisting of four key themes: the traveller, the guide, the journey, and journey's end. Areas such as motivation, the impact of education on individuals, and linking theory to practice were found to be part of a complex web of variables influenced by the individual, their workplace, managers and colleagues, and personal tutor. The personal and professional changes experienced were often stressful and they utilised many support networks, including their tutor, family and work colleagues, to gain success. However, some failed to have any recognition of their new skills and knowledge. Recommendations included further research into the value and function of post-registration degrees, the learning environment for post-registration nurses, and links between CPE and the quality of patient care.

Abstract:Background: Nurses are expected to base practice on evidence from research, which requires an understanding of the research process. However, baccalaureate nursing students may find research courses uninteresting or feel unprepared to conduct research. Participation in experiential research projects may affect their research attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Method: Nursing investigators engaged nursing students in an experiential, active learning research project centered on the effects of pet interaction involving university students. Faculty mentored and partnered with nursing students, immersing them in all research processes. Results: Students confirmed that participation in the project enhanced their understanding of research, improved their clinical and communication skills, and fostered professional growth. Students presented results in a scientific poster at the University's research event. Conclusion: Collaborative faculty-student research projects enhance students' interest in and appreciation of evidence-based research, and support professional development, confidence in assuming research roles, and feelings of connection with faculty, each other, and the university. Student nurses' learning outcomes through participation in a clinical nursing research project: A qualitative study

Abstract:100 bachelor students participated in a research project integrated in their clinical placements. They assessed patients admitted at a certain date/time regarding pain/pain intensity and risk of decubitus, falling and nutritional problems. In the current study is examined the students' learning experiences from participating in this project through focus group interviews. Data analysis of electronically recorded and transcribed interviews following Braun and Clarke's six phases of thematic analysis. Although pressed for time the students felt able to adapt their communication to patients' various situations, explain about the project, receive a signed consent form, and do the data collection. During the project they had honed their communicative skills, become more confident, and able to utilise their theoretical knowledge to reflect, observe, assess, and act. They were able to attune their communication to the various patients and create a trusting relationship which made the assessments possible in spite of the brevity of their meetings. In spite of this mainly interpersonal focus we trust that this first empirical research experience will enhance their ability to read and understand research papers. Furthermore, the students found they had learned a lot and acquired greater understanding of the connection between theory and practical patient work.

Abstract:Introduction: Many institutions seek to engage postsecondary students in research to grow future researchers. Despite this common goal, the means to achieve that end is often unknown creating difficulties for students as they seek out research opportunities. Objective: This article will share first-hand reports on the experiences of graduate students, undergraduate students, and family partners following their engagement as an interdisciplinary research team. Methods: This is a qualitative study using individual open-ended interviews with undergraduate students, graduate students, and patient family partners. The research was conducted using a Patient-Oriented Research approach. The transcripts were analyzed inductively by using Braun and Clarke's six phases of reflexive thematic analysis. Results: Two themes were developed from the analysis. The theme of Benefits & Facilitators was developed based on the many positive thoughts, feelings, resiliency, and learning expressed by the students and family partners. The undergraduate students found the experience of "doing" research fulfilling and a great tool for learning how to better use research in practice. Within the second theme Perceived Hierarchy, undergraduate students described themselves as helpers, not responsible, and they did not have the power to make decisions. Conclusion: Given the challenges identified in this study, future efforts in this approach should carefully consider the culture and how to best engage graduate students, undergraduate students, and family partners in research teams.

Abstract:Aim: Evaluate the impact of LS@H project participation on stakeholders. Background: As populations age and workforces decline, care technology in nursing is becoming increasingly commonplace. Collaboration between nurse academia, education and practice can result in practice-based research and meaningful learning for nursing students and staff. However, little is known about the factors influencing effective collaboration. Based on the knowledge that narratives can be an effective vehicle for healthcare practice change, a Dutch school of nursing and its practice partners collaborated on the Living Longer and Safe at Home! (LS@H) project. This project aimed to explore a more person-centred approach to the use of technology in nursing care. Having gathered data from multiple sources to construct case narratives on the use of technology in older persons care, students nurses were able to contribute to practice development as their narratives were fed back to local and regional teams. Design: To evaluate the impact of the LS@H project, we employed the same methodology used in the project: mixed data gathering methods to construct a case narrative. LS@H project students, supervisors, mentors and higher management shared their experiences and the research team constructed the case narrative. Methods: Qualitative data were gathered via individual, duo and group interviews and supplemented with a survey among students. Transcription and thematic analysis followed, with multiple rounds of critical peer review before the thematic framework was agreed, survey results integrated and the case narrative constructed. Results: According to stakeholder participants, the LS@H project led to an unfreezing of the status quo in both education and practice. The approach was new and guidelines with community support was needed to allay fears. The project design enabled a sense of shared ownership, across individuals and organisations for improving practice. Perspectives on the use of technology and older persons nursing were transformed. Critically dialoguing case narratives encouraged purposeful action to improve practice and fostered reflective practice among students and teams. Conclusions: Collaborative practice-based research can be a valuable learning experience for student nurses, positively influencing their view of nursing practice as well as enabling them to actively contribute to practice development. Adequate preparation, supervision and practice mentorship is vital, alongside practice (leader) commitment to ensure continued student assignments with subsequent critical dialogue of the multi-stakeholder case narratives produced. Abstract:The educational landscape for nursing education increasingly includes clinical practice facilities. This research aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the challenges, facilitators, and transformative aspects shaping the learning journey of these students within the dynamic and complex healthcare environment. Through a phenomenological lens, the study employed semi-structured interviews with 11 postgraduate nursing students enrolled in China. Thematic analysis extracted and interpreted rich, nuanced narratives, uncovering the essence of their experiences. Findings revealed various experiences, ranging from profound learning, personal growth, and professional development to challenges encompassing emotional stress, uncertainties, and ethical dilemmas. Participants articulated the pivotal role of clinical mentors, interprofessional collaborations, and reflective practices in shaping their learning trajectories. The influence of patient interactions, exposure to diverse clinical scenarios, and integrating theoretical knowledge into practical application emerged as significant elements in their learning journey. The study underscores the significance of experiential learning within clinical environments, illuminating the complexities and nuances that impact nursing students' educational experiences. These findings hold implications for nursing education, suggesting the need for tailored support systems, enhanced mentorship programs, and strategies to optimize the clinical learning environment. Abstract:AIMS: The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of Clinical Research Nurses, with an emphasis on factors that may have an impact on successful study delivery.BACKGROUND: The Clinical Research Nurse workforce is pivotal to improving health outcomes through supporting research-active health economies. Investment in research infrastructure has led to nurses and midwives increasingly undertaking extended roles to deliver clinical research. Despite such opportunities, the recruitment of sufficient participants into research studies remains problematic. A growing body of literature is exploring barriers to successful study delivery, indicating the emergence of a caring-recruiting dichotomy in clinical research staff.DESIGN: This qualitative study investigates the experiences of Clinical Research Nurses delivering research in the United Kingdom National Health Service.METHODS: Four Focus groups (total 19 participants) were conducted in a large North East National Health Service Foundation Trust from November 2015 - February 2016.FINDINGS: Thematic analysis identified perceptions of the role in the wider context of professional identity. Role transition, altered relationships and workload complexity, affected participants' practice, leading to inconsistency between core clinical values and perceived identities as research delivery staff. A duty of care as patient advocates contrasted elements of the work reflecting that of salespeople. The emotional labour of approaching patients and unease regarding peer perceptions of the Clinical Research Nurse role, affected the positive aspects of research delivery.CONCLUSION: Professional-identity and self-concept appear to have an impact on practice in a research delivery role. Further research should explore these issues further, to enlighten the basis on which such feelings are positioned and to work towards practical solutions.

Enhancing knowledge of mental health issues among children's nursing students: evaluation of a service user-led workshop

Abstract:Background: Over the past 20 years, the number of children and young people with mental health issues has increased. During their clinical placements, children's nursing students often encounter such service users, as well as mothers with mental health issues such as postnatal depression. Many of these students have reported feeling inadequately prepared to meet the needs of these service users. Aim: To evaluate a service user-led workshop to improve the knowledge and confidence of children's nursing students in caring for children and young people with mental health issues. Method: One university in the south of England ran an interactive workshop as part of a final-year module for BSc and MSc children's nursing students. The workshop was facilitated by service users who had experienced mental health issues. Questionnaires were administered before and after the workshop to collect data from students who attended, then quantitative and qualitative analyses of the data were conducted. Findings: This study found that children's nursing students gained knowledge and confidence in caring for children and young people with mental health issues after attending the workshop. Four themes were identified from the pre-questionnaire data: fear and anxiety; boundaries; mixed experiences; and learning on the job. The themes of boundaries and learning on the job were identified again in the post-questionnaire data, as well as the additional themes of 'being with, rather than doing' and 'further knowledge'. Conclusion: Service user involvement is an essential aspect of nurse education due to its positive and motivating effects on students. Future research could explore the optimal type of service user input required at different stages of nurse education, to ensure that it enhances the development of students' knowledge and confidence.
Supporting the Biomedical Science UG Project Research Journey Through Staff-Student Partnerships

Abstract:Introduction: Developing research skills enhances graduate attributes and student employability. The UG research project is coined the pedagogy of the 21st century but the diversity of supervisory styles is a source of student perceived inequality of experience. The goal of this study was to provide structure and support to undergraduate (UG) biomedical science research students and supervisors by co-creating research informed resources that are accessible, engaging and student centred. We asked 1) How do UG students experience research supervision? 2) What approaches do supervisors use to support UG project students? 3) How do students as partners benefit from being involved in pedagogical research? Materials and Methods: In Stage One, 3 UG student research partners co-developed questionnaires and followed these up with semi-structured interviews. Fifty two UG project students took part in an interactive poll and 14 supervisors answered a questionnaire. Seven students and 4 supervisors were interviewed. These were analysed by thematic analysis. In Stage Two, the questions were asked of UG project students ( n = 79) via an interactive poll and the resource developed in Stage One was trialled with students ( n = 68) and supervisors ( n = 37). Results: The global theme identified was that students feel strongly that the student-supervisor relationship influences their experience, satisfaction and success. In all polls, >90% of students but <60% of supervisors agree that a good student/supervisor partnership has an effect on the success of the final project. A smaller percentage of students felt strongly that they were able to develop a successful partnership with their supervisor. We co-created a visual model and a list of discussion points of how the student-supervisor partnership can be developed, aimed at making supervision more effective whilst being non-prescriptive. Discussion: The resource can be easily adapted. Students believe it helped them to develop a staff-student partnership and supervisors commented that it helps to clarify roles and manage student expectations. This scalable project will support the practice of future UG biomedical science project research students and supervisors. Working with students as partners enabled the development of richer ideas whilst supporting their employability.

Abstract:Background : High-quality clinical placement experiences are important for preparing undergraduate student nurses for practice. Clinical facilitation and support significantly impact student placement experiences and their development of skills, knowledge, and attitudes in the healthcare setting. Aim : This research aimed to explore university-employed clinical facilitators' perspectives on providing quality clinical facilitation and student learning on placement. Design : An exploratory, descriptive research design was used to examine the perspectives of n = 10 university-employed clinical facilitators working in regional New South Wales, Australia (March 2020-December 2021). Methods : Semi-structured interviews were used to explore the experiences of a purposeful sample of university-employed clinical facilitators. Data was thematically analysed using Miles et al.'s ( Citation 2014 ) qualitative data analysis framework. Results : Five key themes were identified 1) relationships at the core of quality, 2) a culture of commitment to student learning, 3) connection to the curriculum, 4) examining the model, and 5) empowering growth and development. Clinical facilitators perceive their role as misunderstood, undervalued, and isolating and that they require further preparation and ongoing professional development to provide quality facilitation. Building rapport and relationships with staff and students was at the core of quality clinical facilitation. Conclusions : The clinical facilitator role has an important function in preparing student nurses for practice and needs further recognition and continued professional development. Education providers and healthcare organisations need to examine strategies to provide inclusive and supportive work environments, building communities of practice for clinical facilitators and stakeholders to share their experiences and knowledge, promoting individual and group learning, thus improving the student placement experience and fostering the professional identity of clinical facilitators.

Parameters of learning during clinical nursing study abroad: Focused analysis of phenomenological data using a change-transformative learning theory lens

Abstract:Aims: To explore the nature and extent of learning attained as a result of unaccompanied-by-faculty clinical nursing study abroad experiences and to answer the research question 'what is the nature and extent of learning during study abroad?'. Background: Following the Covid-19 restrictions, international placement opportunities for student nurses are now resuming. In light of this, it is an opportune time for nurse educators to reflect and consider the effectiveness of clinical study abroad placements as contexts of learning, especially in relation to attainment of desired learning outcomes such as personal and professional growth and the development of culturally competent global graduates. This is an important area to research as specific understanding in relation to the extent of learning and variations in learning between students is limited. Design: The study was situated within the interpretivist paradigm to elicit experiences of study abroad. Aligned to this, a hermeneutic phenomenological methodology was applied to ensure these experiences emerged from the subjective horizon of student nurses. Methods: Following ethical approval, two semi-structured interviews per student (post-return and follow-up) were conducted with student nurses who had undertaken a study abroad experience. Phenomenological hermeneutical data analysis for multiple context research was undertaken and a change-transformative learning theory lens was additionally employed to the analysis to differentiate between the extent of and variations in, learning attained. Twenty UK and European student nurses, who were registered onto a study abroad programme prior to the Covid-19 restrictions participated. Results: Variations between participants were identified in relation to the nature and extent of learning. Participants experienced personal and professional growth and they experienced transformation in relation to self as a person, learner and nurse. However, variations existed when considering the attributes of global graduateness and cultural competence development. Whilst participants changed by expanding their knowledge in relation to global and cultural issues, some participants also appear to have concurrently experienced a reinforcement of ethnocentric frames of reference. Conclusions: Analysis revealed that study abroad offered opportunities for students to experience change and transformation. Whilst students demonstrated learning in both the domains of change and transformation, transformative learning in all identified outcome areas was not guaranteed. Whilst transformative learning was apparent when considering personal and professional growth, less extensive learning was demonstrated when considering development of the attributes of global graduateness and cultural competence. The paper therefore recognises the complex nature of study abroad experiences and recommends continued investigation in this field.
Undergraduate Nursing Students’ Experiences of Conducting Clinical Research Projects in Their Bachelor Theses – a Qualitative Study

Abstract:Introduction The aim of educational institutions in the field of nursing is to educate nurses with the competences to provide high-quality care to their patients, meaning that students need to learn about evidence-based practice and how to translate the knowledge, skills, competency, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours into daily practice. The bachelor thesis is the ultimate test for undergraduate nursing students to present what they have learned. Objective The aim of this study was to explore undergraduate nursing students’ experiences of conducting clinical projects in their bachelor theses. Methods We used qualitative focus-group interviews to gain a deeper understanding of the students’ experiences of conducting clinical projects in their bachelor theses as an approach to learn about evidence-based practice. The analyses focused on meaning according to Brinkmann and Kvale. Results Eighteen out of 22 eligible students who had chosen to participate in ongoing clinical research projects and write an academic paper as their bachelor thesis were included in this study. The students were all females and divided into three focus groups. The clinical projects were conducted in a public hospital, a private hospital, nursing homes, or within home-care nursing. The analyses showed that conducting clinical projects in the bachelor thesis provided the students with important knowledge for providing evidence-based care and it. motivated them to want to initiate future clinical projects as nurses., They got valuable hands-on experience for how to conduct research, and made the students aware of the importance of keeping themselves updated on the latest knowledge. Conclusion Conducting clinical research projects on a bachelor level provide undergraduate nursing students with important knowledge of how to provide evidence-based nursing care to their patients. Learning how to conduct clinical research projects is also important for motivating future nurses to initiate research aiming to improve clinical nursing practice.

Understanding the experience of nursing students' internship at a palliative care unit: A phenomenological research study

Abstract:Background: Palliative care is characterised as a holistic, interdisciplinary and humanised approach to care. It transcends the traditional bio-medical perspective in health through a bio-psycho-social and spiritual approach. Holistic point of view in palliative care is essential, and needs to be consistently hi-lighted to nursing students to improve end of life care. Objective: To describe nursing students' experience in a palliative care unit in Santiago, Chile. Design: A qualitative phenomenological study utilising purposive sampling of 10 nursing students from a Chilean university was undertaken, who completed their final year in a palliative care unit between 2017 and 2019. Methods: Data were collected using in-depth interviews, which were conducted, recorded, transcribed and analysed according to Streubert-Carpenter method. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Universidad de los Andes, Chile. Results: Three main themes were identified in the data with their consequent units of meaning; these were experiences from all participants. The first theme identified was the diverse learning experiences students had. Topics included were: spirituality, dignity, teamworking and communication with the patient and family. They also identified personal growth. The second theme was living through the experience of difficult times; this included how they dealt facing death and how they found meaning on this. Also, patient loneliness, abandonment and the impact of shortage of human and material resources. The final theme was recognising that touching patients is often the essence of nursing and is paramount in palliative care. Conclusions: Completing a placement in a palliative care unit contributes to student nurses' personal and professional development. It provides multiple tools related to the care of terminally-ill patients and their families. It is recommended to undergraduate nurses have the opportunity to experience palliative care throughout curriculum and that they learn to embed theory to practice.
Developing critical enquiry, capacity, capability and confidence in the health and care workforce

Abstract:Background: Health and care staff have limited opportunities to design, deliver and lead critical enquiry activities. Aims: To explore barriers and enablers of building capacity, capability and confidence of these practitioners who wish to undertake critical enquiry activity. Methods: A realist conceptual framework including the development of middle range theory allowed analysis of the scholarship process and outcomes. Data were collected through snap surveys, interviews (face to face and online) and project output (posters). Results: Nine scholars completed the programme and all participated in the study. They all experienced an increase in capacity, capability and confidence in critical enquiry activity. Six overarching themes arose from analysis of the interviews and snap survey data: value; expertise; attitudes; meaningful, responsive support; brain space; and skill and knowledge acquisition. Discussion: A combined focus on people and project while staff remained embedded in their work area was key for the growth of skills and knowledge and creating impact from projects. Guilt at having dedicated time to take part in the programme was a self-imposed barrier to building capacity and capability. Social capital (gained from bringing together individuals from different groups with shared values) facilitated bonding, which increased psychological safety and helped enable capability and confidence. Conclusion: The combination of theory and practice embedded in a real-world context led to positive outcomes for staff, patients, carers and the facilitation team as real-life changes were made in clinical environments.

Introduction of a Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing workforce: A qualitative study of student and registered nurses

Abstract:Aim To explore the benefits and challenges of a recently introduced Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing workforce from the perspective of Nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing, in a major metropolitan hospital in Australia in 2020. Design A qualitative descriptive study was undertaken using individual interviews and focus groups. Methods Purposively selected employed Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing and nurses who worked with them were interviewed, using a semi‐structured format. Recordings were transcribed and coded using NVivo software. Reflexive thematic analysis using an inductive approach was undertaken. Results Four major themes were revealed: (i) Navigating the programme, (ii) Belonging and integration; (iii) Patient care; and (iv) Continuing Development. Initial challenges were common, often related to clarifying the scope of practice for the new role. Ongoing issues were associated with gaps in understanding the role and lack of integration into the team. Mostly, nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing built positive, professional relationships. Nurses valued the Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing knowledge and skill level, reporting improved workload and work experiences when the Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing was on shift. Nurses believed that the Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing enhanced patient care. Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing described positive, therapeutic relationships with patients. Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing employment provided opportunities for new learning, leading to increased efficiency and confidence on clinical placement. Conclusions This employment model benefited the Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing and nurses who worked with them. In the absence of adequate training and support, challenges remained unresolved and negatively impacted the experience for nurses. In addition to university‐level education and clinical placement, the employment model can create a third space for student learning via on‐the‐job training. The study supports the ongoing employment of student nurses through the Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing model. Implications for the Profession and/or Patient Care Impact This study contributes to the very small body of literature investigating Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing workforces in Australian hospitals. It is the first to explore the experiences of both nurses and students working together in a major metropolitan setting and also the first in the context of the COVID‐19 pandemic. This study reflected a mostly positive experience for Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing and the nurses who worked with them and highlighted the importance of adequate oversight and support in the implementation and maintenance of a Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing workforce. Employed Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing reported improved confidence, skills, and felt like they started clinical placement at an advantage, ready to step up and learn the Registered Nurse scope of practice. In addition to university‐level education and clinical placement, this employment model creates a third space for learning via on‐the‐job training. HPLC method for determination of atenolol in human plasma and application to a pharmacokinetic study in Turkey.

Abstract:This paper describes a high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of atenolol in human plasma. Atenolol and the internal standard, metoprolol, were extracted from plasma by using a liquid-liquid extraction method. The method was developed on an Ace C18 reverse-phase column using a mobile phase of methanol-water (50:50, v/v) containing 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid. The calibration curve was linear within the concentration range of 5-150 ng/mL. Intra-day and inter-day precision values for atenolol in plasma were less than 6.1, and accuracy (relative error) was better than 5.5%. The mean recovery of atenolol was 98.4% for plasma. The limits of detection and quantification of atenolol were 1.5 and 5 ng/mL, respectively. Also, this assay was successfully applied to six patients with hypertension who had been given an oral tablet of 50 mg atenolol.
Can Research Training be Improved in Health Professional Student Curricula? A Qualitative Descriptive Study of Health Students' Experiences with an Integrated Research Training Platform

Abstract:Introduction: Project-based learning is currently the status quo for research training for health professional students; however, it alone is not sufficient for holistic development of research skills. One promising style of intervention that can complement project-based research training is a centralised hub of e-learning resources. Therefore, we explored the perception of health professionals in tertiary education, towards the E-learning hub named 'Health and Medical Sciences Research Modules'. Specifically, we explored (1) the role the Modules can play in supporting students in their research training courses, (2) the perception of the selection of topics and content quality and (3) student engagement with content. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted via the online platform Zoom for University of Western Australia 3rd- and 4th-year Dental doctoral students, and 2nd-year Master of Pharmacy students. Interview transcripts were analysed using the framework method, to identify manifest and latent level themes. Results: Eleven participants completed the interview, including five dentistry and six pharmacy students. The analysis yielded numerous manifest level themes including selection and depth of topics, and four latent level themes: content volume and balance, relevance of content to project, alignment and sequencing, and interactivity. Discussion: The present study suggests the Modules content and the online platform were well received as a complementary intervention to project-based learning. However, issues such as content oversaturation emerged as topics which can be addressed to improve the learning experience. These topics should be considered when considering further implementation of e-learning hubs to complement project-based learning, across Australia and worldwide.
