Abstract:In this investigation, a hydrogel adsorbent featuring remarkable efficiency in dye adsorption was successfully synthesized by the integration of natural polysaccharide (pullulan) and nanoparticles (ZIF-8@PDA). The prepared natural polysaccharide nanocomposite hydrogels not only exhibit superior mechanical strength and biocompatibility, but also demonstrate adeptness in the removal of dye pollutants. The dye removal capacities were 615.4 mg/g for malachite green (MG) and 525.8 mg/g for Congo red (CR), respectively. Notably, the adsorption process exhibits minimal susceptibility to variations in water quality and the presence of co-existing ions. The pH-responsive surface charge conversion capability of the adsorbent renders it recyclable, maintaining a dye adsorption performance exceeding 88 % even after 5 cycles of repeated usage. Overall, these environmentally friendly natural polysaccharide nanocomposite hydrogels hold potential for addressing complex wastewater treatment challenges and long-term use.

Abstract:Videodigitised outlines of C6, C7, T1 and T2 vertebrae from 23 mice carrying the mutant gene undulated (un/un) and normal littermates (+/un) have been examined by Fourier analysis. There were large differences in shape between C6 vertebrae, smaller but significant differences in C7 and insignificant differences between T1s. The situation in T2 was complicated by the effects of the genetic background, but the effect of undulated was still significant. We conclude that the undulated gene shows significant pleiotropy in its effects even over this short length of the vertebral column.

Abstract:Developing inexpensive adsorbent with high removal efficiency is an important strategy to solve the issue of dye residues in wastewater. Zeolitic imidazole framework-8 (ZIF-8) modified polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/chitosan (CS) composite aerogel (ZIF-8@P/CSA) was prepared through freeze-drying and in situ growth. The introduction of PVA enhanced the mechanical properties of CSA. Experimental results showed that ZIF-8@P/CSA had superior compression resilience and water stability, with a maximum adsorption capacity on Congo Red (CR) of 1216.5 mg g−1, which was obviously higher than most different adsorbents in previous reports. The adsorption process was consistent with pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm model, revealing chemisorption was the rate-determining step and adsorption process was monolayer adsorption. After 5 adsorption-desorption cycles, ZIF-8@P/CSA still showed excellent stability and reusability to remove CR with a removal rate above 91%. This study provided a new idea to remove CR from dye wastewater by the combination of ZIF-8 and polysaccharide aerogels.

Abstract:The existence of organic dyes wastewater had caused serious harm to the environment and human beings. Herein, in this study, a simple and efficient method was selected to synthesize sodium alginate gel beads adsorbent (CPS-Bead) with porous structure and high adsorption performance. Interestingly, the addition of polyamino-modified 3D carbon materials (GO-CNT) enhanced the related properties of gel beads. Moreover, the well-designed adsorbent was used to remove methylene blue (MB), malachite green (MG), crystal violet (CV), and congo red (CR) from dyes wastewater. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of CPS-Bead on MB, MG, CV and CR could reach the highest of 2191.39 mg/g, 2201.69 mg/g, 1669.11 mg/g and 2096.04 mg/g at 318 K, respectively. The kinetic behavior and the isotherm behavior of CPS-Bead was more consistent with the nonlinear model of pseudo-second-order dynamics and the Langmuir isotherm model, and the thermodynamic data showed that the adsorption process of the four dyes was automatic. In addition, CPS-Bead also demonstrated excellent adsorption performance in cyclic experiments, selectivity experiments and adsorption column experiments, which could selectively and continuously adsorb different dyes. Overall, the prepared gel beads not only showed outstanding adsorption capacity, but also the had an excellent reusability, besides, CPS-Bead had great potential industrial applications.

Lignosulfonate-Based Hybrid Hydrogels Functionalized with Hyperbranched Polyamide Amine as Ultra-High-Capacity Adsorbent for Congo Red Removal from Aqueous Solutions

Abstract:Fast and efficient removal of organic dyes from industrial wastewater by practical and cost-effective adsorption method has been in the spotlight. Herein, lignosulfonate-based hybrid hydrogel adsorbents (HPAS) were one-pot synthesized via cross-linking reaction with lignosulfonate amine, hyperbranched polyamide amine, and polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, then were characterized by FTIR, XPS, and SEM measurements. The adsorption capacity of HPAS for separate organic dyes and metallic ion were further studied. HPAS with hierarchical porous structures showed ultra-high capacity for dye removal, especially for Congo red (CR). The actual maximum adsorption capacity of CR can reach 5120 mg/g, when the initial concentration of CR is 6000 mg/L, natural pH, temperature is 298 K, and the amount of adsorbent HPAS-4 is 0.8 g/L. Simultaneously, HPAS-4 also showed a relatively strong adsorption performance for Cu(II); the maximum uptake capacity was obtained at 249 mg/g (initial Cu(II) concentration = 100 mg/L). After 5 adsorption–desorption cycles, HPAS-4 still maintains a high adsorption capacity for CR and Cu(II). The CR and Cu(II) adsorption mechanisms by HPAS were further validated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The adsorption of CR and Cu(II) by HPAS was a spontaneous endothermic process, which conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption model. The key mechanism of CR adsorption process is H-bond interactions due to abundant N and O atoms in HPAS accompanied with electrostatic attraction and π-π stacking interaction. The adsorption of Cu(II) on HPAS is mainly determined by the complexation/chelation accompanied with precipitation of copper derivatives on HPAS. The results of this study provide a new method for the preparation of high-performance biomass-based adsorbents in the field of wastewater treatment.

Abstract:Abstract Recently, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have received considerable attention as highly efficient adsorbents for dye wastewater remediation. However, the immobilization of MOFs on the substrate surfaces to fabricate easy recyclable adsorbents via a facile route is still a challenge. In this work, ZIF-67/cotton fibers as adsorbents for dye removal were prepared in a large-scale using a simple coordination replication method. The successful fabrication of the ZIF-67/cotton fibers was confirmed by FTIR, XRD, XPS, SEM and BET analysis, respectively. As expected, the as-prepared ZIF-67/cotton fibers exhibited high adsorption capacity of 3787 mg/g towards malachite green (MG). Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetics and isotherm obeyed the pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir model, respectively. Moreover, its removal efficiency towards MG was not significantly influenced by the pH and ionic strength of aqueous solution. Most importantly, the ZIF-67/cotton fibers can remove MG from synthetic effluents, and it can be easily regenerated without filtration or centrifugation processes, with the regeneration efficiency remaining over 90% even after 10 cycles. Additionally, the ZIF-67/cotton fibers presented excellent antimicrobial performance against E. coli and S. aureus . Hence, the distinctive features of the as-prepared ZIF-67/cotton fibers make it promisingly applicable for the colored wastewater treatment.
Facile Synthesis of Hierarchical Porous ZIF-8/GO Composite with Enhanced Adsorption Capacity for Malachite Green Removal

Abstract:The random discharge of refractory or poisonous dyes will cause significant environmental damage. Thus, it is necessary to remove the malachite green (MG) dyes from industrial wastewater efficiently. In this work, metal(Zn)-organic framework materials ZIF-8 and ZIF-8/GO were prepared and applied to the adsorption of MG at room temperature. A series of tests were used to characterize the structures and properties of ZIF-8 and ZIF-8/GO, such as SEM, BET, FTIR, and XRD. Meanwhile, the kinetics of MG adsorption onto ZIF-8 and ZIF-8/GO were analyzed using the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models. The results indicated that ZIF-8 was a nanometer-sized rhombic dodecahedron and that it showed high crystallinity, which grew well on GO. By testing the adsorption performance of ZIF-8 and ZIF‐8/GO, we found the maximum adsorption efficiency of ZIF-8/GO was 53%, which improved by 20% compared with ZIF-8. The adsorbents ZIF-8 and ZIF-8/GO could be easily regenerated after washing with ethanol. After five reuse cycles, the relative adsorption efficiency of ZIF-8 and ZIF-8/GO on MG remained above 89 and 93%, respectively. The results suggested that the incorporation of GO can significantly improve the adsorption performance and cycle stability of ZIF-8, and the materials we prepared in this work have promising potential applications for wastewater treatment containing MG dye.

Efficient adsorption of cationic dyes by a novel honeycomb-like porous hydrogel with ultrahigh mechanical property

Abstract:The optimization of hydrogel structure is crucial for adsorption capacity, mechanical stability, and reusability. Herein, a chitosan and laponite-XLS co-doped poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylamide) hydrogel (CXAA) with honeycomb-like porous structures is synthesized by cooperative cross-linking of 2-hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride chitosan (HACC) and laponite-XLS in reticular frameworks of acrylic acid (AAc) and acrylamide (AM). The CXAA exhibits extraordinary mechanical performances including tough tensile strength (3.36 MPa) and elasticity (2756 %), which facilitates recycling in practical adsorption treatment and broadens potential applications. Since the regular porous structures can fully expose numerous adsorption sites and electronegative natures within polymer materials, CXAA displays efficient and selective adsorption properties for cationic dyes like methylene blue (MB) and malachite green (MG) from mixed pollutants and can reach record-high values (MB = 6886 mg g-1, MG = 11,381 mg g-1) compared with previously reported adsorbents. Therefore, CXAA exhibits promising potential for separating cationic and anionic dyes by their charge disparities. Mechanism studies show that the synergistic effects of HACC, laponite-XLS, and functional groups in monomers promote highly efficient adsorption. Besides, the adsorption capacity of CXAA remains stable even after undergoing five cycles of regeneration. The results confirm that CXAA is a promising adsorbent for effectively removing organic dyes in wastewater.
Highly efficient removal of adsorbed cationic dyes by dual-network chitosan-based hydrogel

Abstract:This research presents the effective preparation of a novel dual network chitosan-based hydrogel (CMAPP) for the adsorption of methylene blue (MB), malachite green (MG), crystalline violet (CV), and basic fuchsin (BF) using the sol-gel method to address the escalating issue of dye pollution. FTIR, XRD, SEM, EDS, XPS, TGA, and zeta potential study examined hydrogel production and physicochemical properties. To ascertain the maximum adsorption capacity, the influences of pH, temperature, initial dye concentration, contact time, and adsorbent dosage on adsorption were systematically analyzed. It was observed that CMAPP demonstrated significant removal efficiencies (97.62%, 96.67%, 98.12%, and 99.32%) for the dyes MB, MG, CV, and BF at a concentration of 500 mg/L under optimal conditions. The findings from the adsorption kinetics and isotherm studies indicated that pseudo-second-order kinetics and the Langmuir model were the most appropriate for characterizing the adsorption process of hydrogels. The thermodynamic findings demonstrated that the adsorption process was exothermic and spontaneous. After five cycles of adsorption, the hydrogel demonstrated a consistent dye removal efficiency of around 80%, indicating commendable recyclability. In the interference studies, CMAPP exhibits superior anti-interference capability against CV and BF, which is advantageous for its practical application. The findings from XPS and FTIR investigations indicate that electrostatic attraction, hydrogen bonding, and n-π interactions are the primary forces between the adsorbent and the dyes. The synthesis of CMAPP offers an innovative approach for the effective elimination of cationic dyes and demonstrates significant potential in the treatment of complicated wastewater.
Preparation of a novel CSM@ZIF-67 composite microsphere to facilitate Congo red adsorption from dyeing wastewater

Abstract:Chitosan (CS) is commonly used as an adsorbent for wastewater treatment because of its low cost, strong adsorption properties, and high availability of raw materials required for its production. However, CS exhibits limited adaptability to pH, poor mechanical properties, and high swelling in aqueous media; these limitations restrict its widespread use. To address these issues, herein, zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) is loaded onto crosslinked CS microspheres (CSM) to prepare CSM@ZIF-67, a composite adsorbent. Next, the CSM@ZIF-67 is applied to the treatment of Congo red (CR) dye, which is typically present in printing and dyeing wastewater. The results demonstrate that the in situ synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) on CSM improve the dispersion of MOFs and preserve the morphology of the MOFs. The adsorption equilibrium of CSM@ZIF-67 is reached within 150 min, and its adsorption capacity is as high as 538.4 mg/g at a pH of 9 and temperature of 25 °C. The CR adsorption process is consistent with the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm models, thus revealing that chemisorption is the primary rate-limiting step, and the pollutants are adsorbed on the adsorbent surface in a monolayer. Experiments on material cycling and regeneration performance reveal that the removal efficiency of CSM@ZIF-67 remains above 90%, even after five rounds of adsorption. CSM@ZIF-67 has abundant functional groups and adsorption sites and can efficiently remove CR through mutual interactions between the metal coordination effect, π–π conjugation, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions. Abstract:Abstract The urgent problem to solve is how to design a kind of green and porous adsorbent that can effectively remove dye pollutants in the field of the sewage treatment. The objectives of this investigation are to incorporate zeolitic imidazolate frameworks‐8 (ZIF‐8) particles in situ onto the surface of multiwalled carbon tubes (MWCNTs) and integrate them into an agarose‐sodium alginate (ASA) double network hydrogel. The resulting composite hydrogel beads, denoted as MWCNTs/ZIF‐8/ASA (MZASA), are synthesized using calcium ion crosslinking. The addition of agarose is employed to create a dual‐crosslinked hydrogel, thereby enhancing the mechanical properties of the ASA hydrogel. By incorporating MWCNTs/ZIF‐8 nanoparticles, the surface area of the MZASA hydrogel is augmented, leading to an enhancement in dye adsorption capacity. In batch sorption mode, the maximum absorbency of the resulting hydrogel beads for methylene blue (MB) is 493.799 mg/g, which was a third greater than that of pure SA beads. Absorption of MB obeys the pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm model, suggesting monolayer chemisorption adsorption. Analysis of the thermodynamics proves that the entire adsorption process is exothermic and spontaneous. Moreover, the MZASA hydrogel beads show high selectivity for cationic dyes in the mixed dye test. Hence, the synthesized MZASA hydrogel beads serve as a highly effective, innovative, and reusable adsorbent for eliminating cationic dyes from water‐based solutions.

Facile fabrication of bioinspired hierarchical porous MOFs for selective adsorption of Congo red and Malachite green from vegetables and fruits juices

Abstract:The dye pollution in environmental water and food caused by industrial production and illegal addition is a serious problem worldwide, which endangers ecosystem, food safety and human health. To effectively overcome these challenges, a magnetic bioinspired hierarchical porous MOFs (BHP-MOFs) based on ZIF-8, Fe 3 O 4 and three-dimensional graphene was successfully prepared for selective adsorption of Congo red (CR) and Malachite green (MG) from aqueous solutions. The surface morphology, physicochemical structure and composition of BHP-MOFs were characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XRD, Zeta potential, TGA and VSM analysis. The prepared BHP-MOFs exhibited a large specific surface area (225.522 m 2 /g), high pore volume (0.248 cm 3 /g) and superparamagnetism, which made it an efficient adsorbent for fast adsorption of CR and MG. The adsorption kinetics studies showed that the adsorption mechanism of CR and MG followed the pseudo-second model and the adsorption process fitted well to Langmuir isotherm equation. Thermodynamic experiments have shown that the adsorption process is spontaneous and endothermic. The maximum adsorption capacities of CR and MG were 176.06 and 448.43 mg/g, respectively. Under the optimum conditions, BHP-MOFs were successfully used as magnetic adsorbents for the removal of CR and MG in environmental water and fruit juices, with removal efficiency ranged from 97.09% to 76.00%. The reusability of the BHP-MOFs was repeated with seven cycles and removal efficiency remained at 63.01% and 82.20% for CR and MG, respectively. It is proved that BHP-MOFs composite has excellent adsorption capacity for dyes and has a wide application prospect in practical applications.

Abstract:Natural macromolecular-based hydrogels have unique advantages in pollutant adsorption due to their biodegradability and abundance of reactive functional groups. However, poor mechanical properties and adsorption capability limit their application. In this paper, Poly-(acrylamide-acrylic acid)/sesbania gum/bentonite (P(AM-AA)/SG/BT) composite hydrogel was prepared by in situ free-radical polymerization and applied to the adsorption for methylene blue (MB) and methylene green (MG). Relevant characterization, performance tests, and model analysis were used to investigate the preparation mechanism and absorption characteristics of MB and MG on P(AM-AA)/SG/BT. Our results indicated that SG, BT, and P(AM-AA) were combined through multiple mechanisms including functional group copolymerization, hydrogen bonding, and structural interweaving, which endowed P(AM-AA)/SG/BT composite hydrogel with good mechanical properties (tensile strength of 116 kPa, tensile elongation of 2645%, and over 90% recovery of compression deformation), high adsorption capacity (1226mg/g for MB and 783mg/g for MG, over 90% of removal rate at a dye concentration of 100mg/L), and good recyclability (the adsorption amount maintaining 86% of the initial amount and the desorption efficiency over 78% after 5 cycles). Adsorption of MB and MG on P(AM-AA)/SG/BT was consistent with the pseudo-second order equation, the intraparticle diffusion model and the Freundlich isotherm model, as well as spontaneous and exothermic for MB adsorption, while spontaneous and endothermic for MG adsorption. Clearly, P(AM-AA)/SG/BT composite hydrogel proved to be an efficient and effective adsorbent in PDW treatments.

Abstract:Polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIM-1) has demonstrated great potential in adsorption and separation fields. In this study, PIM-1 was structured into an applicable and efficient adsorbent using a facile way. PIM-1 was first modified by amidoxime, and then the amidoxime modified PIM-1 (AOPIM-1) was mingled into alginate (Alg) hydrogel to obtain composite hydrogel beads. The AOPIM-1/Alg composite beads were further employed for removal of malachite green (MG) from aqueous solution and the effects of doped ratio, adsorbent dosage, contact time, and initial dye concentration on the MG adsorption performance were systematically investigated. The MG adsorption capacity of pure Alg beads was substantially enhanced after incorporating AOPIM-1. Furthermore, isothermal, kinetic and thermodynamic studies were performed to explore the fundamental adsorption behavior. Both Freundlich isotherm and Langmuir isotherm models can fit the adsorption isotherm data well, and the adsorption kinetics is well described by Pseudo-second-order. The adsorption process is feasible, spontaneous and endothermic. In addition, mixed dyes adsorption measurements indicate that AOPIM-1/Alg beads are highly selective to adsorb cationic dyes from anionic/cationic mixed dyes solution. The regeneration test shows that above 90% of the adsorption capacity of the composite beads can be maintained after 10 cycles of MG adsorption/desorption. These findings point that AOPIM-1/Alg composite hydrogel beads are an efficient, up-and-coming and recyclable adsorbent for cationic dyes adsorption from aqueous solution.

Abstract:Metal–organic framework (MOF) particles are one of the most promising adsorbents for removing organic contaminants from wastewater. However, powder-type MOF particles face challenges in terms of utilization and recovery. In this study, a novel bead-type adsorbent was prepared using activated carbon based on the zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (AC-ZIF-8) and a regenerated cellulose hydrogel for dye removal. AC-ZIF-8 particles with a large surface area were obtained by carbonization and chemical activation with KOH. The AC-ZIF-8 powders were efficiently immobilized in hydrophilic cellulose hydrogel beads via cellulose dissolution/regeneration. The prepared AC-ZIF-8/cellulose hydrogel (AC-ZIF-8/CH) composite beads exhibit a large specific surface area of 1412.8 m 2 /g and an excellent maximum adsorption capacity of 565.13 mg/g for Rhodamine B (RhB). Moreover, the AC-ZIF-8/CH beads were effective over a wide range of pH, temperatures and for different types of dyes. These composite beads also offer economic benefits through desorption of dyes for recycling. The AC-ZIF-8/CH beads can be produced in substantial amounts and used as fillers in a fixed-bed column system, which can purify the continuous inflow of dye solutions. These findings suggest that our simple approach for preparing high-performance adsorbent beads will broaden the application of dye adsorbents, oil–water separation, and catalysts.

Abstract:In this work, attapulgite (ATP)-based dual sensitive poly (N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylic acid) composite hydrogel, P(NIPAM-co-AA)/ATP, was prepared by free radical polymerization. The prepared composite hydrogel was characterized via methods of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), zeta potential analysis and Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) etc. The composite hydrogel showed pH and temperature sensitive behaviour, with lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of 35°C and highest swelling occurred at pH 8.0. The adsorption of methyl violet (MV) can be controlled by the hydrogel responsiveness, and 95.78% of MV can be removed at pH 8.0 and 35°C. The addition of a small amount of ATP (3 Wt%) can improve the swelling ratio and adsorption capacity. Kinetic analysis demonstrated that the experimental data were best fitted to the pseudo-second order model. Isotherm analysis showed that the equilibrium data followed Langmuir model with the adsorption capacity of 168.35 mg g−1. In addition, the composite hydrogel has high adsorption selectivity for cationic dyes, and MV-loaded hydrogel is easy to regenerate, which can be used for successive adsorption cycles. These results demonstrate that the composite hydrogel has potential application in dye wastewater treatment.GRAPHICAL

Abstract:The substandard discharge of highly toxic dyestuff wastewater will pose a serious threat to the environment and human beings, even causing unimaginable irreversible damages. In the current study, novel amphoteric carboxymethyl chitosan/gelatin microspheres (CCGMs), synthesized by a facile inverse suspension route with two-step successive crosslinking process, were evaluated as a potential adsorbent for high efficient pH induced selective removal of azo-dyes. The as-prepared CCGMs were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Various influential factors such as solution pH, temperature, and contact time were employed to ascertain the optimal condition for representative azo-dyes adsorption, including methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB). The maximal adsorption of MO and MB on the CCGMs at pH values of 3 and 11 were 383.142 mg g-1 and 584.795 mg g-1, respectively. The adsorption mechanism were demonstrated as the synergistic effect of electrostatic interaction and π-π stacking between dyes and CCGMs. Besides, the outstanding and stable regeneration of as-prepared CCGMs were also verified with five consecutive recycling. Thus, the newly developed CCGMs could be a highly promising candidate for dyestuff wastewater treatment.

Abstract:This study investigates the adsorption efficiencies of twelve hydrogel groups, including chitosan, pectin, sodium alginate, cypress, bitter ginseng, dandelion, persimmon leaf, and magnetic hydrogels, for the removal of copper ions, methylene blue, and congo red from aqueous solutions. The hydrogels were characterized using SEM, XRD, XPS, BET, VSM, TGA, FTIR, and DFT calculations to elucidate their structural and functional properties. Adsorption kinetics, isotherms, and mechanisms were thoroughly analyzed, with models fitted to the experimental data. Among the tested hydrogels, pectin-cellulose demonstrated the highest adsorption capacity for copper ions, Phellodendron-polysaccharide-cellulose for methylene blue, and magnetic cellulose-based hydrogels for congo red. This research highlights the potential of these innovative hydrogels as sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment, effectively addressing critical environmental challenges by removing hazardous substances. The findings provide valuable insights into the adsorption processes and contribute to the development of advanced materials for environmental remediation.

Abstract:Zeolite imidazole framework-8 (ZIF-8), serving as a promising adsorbent for wastewater treatment, is limited in practical wastewater treatment due to its polycrystalline powder form resulting in poor recoverability. Herein, the millimeter-scale ZIF-8@porous mullite beads were prepared by the seeded-secondary growth method. The surface of the porous mullite beads is fully encapsulated by nanoscale ZIF-8 crystals, and the ZIF-8 crystals are anchored by mullite whiskers. This composition provides ZIF-8 with a stable macroscopic structure and maintains the exposure of its adsorption sites. Therefore, the ZIF-8@porous mullite beads exhibited good adsorption performance toward methyl orange (MO) and orange G (OG) in the aqueous solution. The analysis of adsorption kinetics indicating the adsorption efficiency of ZIF-8@mullite-w on MO and OG is influenced by the concentration of adsorbates and the adsorption sites. The maximum adsorption of ZIF-8@porous mullite beads on MO and OG was 16.5289 and 5.111 mg/g, respectively.
