Abstract:Introduction: Actinic lichen planus (ALP) is a chronic and benign disease that affects young people of the Middle East and Maghreb countries. Purpose: To analyse clinical features and prognosis of ALP in children. Patients and methods: A retrospective, descriptive study of cases observed in the department of dermatology of Sfax hospital over a period of 11 years (1995-2005). Results: Our patients were 5 boys and 1 girl. Mean age at diagnosis was 11 years. Onset was during the summer in 5 cases. The face was involved in 5 cases and the upper limb in 3 cases. The annular form was found in 5 cases, the pigmented melasma-like form in 1. Cheilitis was associated in 3 cases. Treatment consisted in photoprotection in all the patients. Antimalaria drugs were used in 4 patients and topical steroids in 2. Evolution was favourable in 5 cases. Disease relapsed in one child after treatment interruption. Conclusion: ALP can be seen during childhood. Ultraviolet rays are involved in pathogenesis. The annular form is predominant. Treatment is based on sun protection associated with antimalarials or topical steroids.

Abstract:The objective of this case report is to describe a patient who was referred to a specialized medical service to diagnose lesions in the oral mucosa, lips, and a generalized skin manifestation. The patient is a 69-year-old melanodermic woman with a medical history of high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease. She presented with complaints of skin lesions that initially developed on her arms, subsequently spreading to her body and mouth, accompanied by painful symptoms. Hyperpigmented patches were observed on her neck, dorsum, arms, and legs, and white striae were noted in her nails.

Abstract:Abstract Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) is a rare pigmented variant of lichen planus first described in India in 1974. It has an insidious onset and predominantly affects the photoexposed areas of darker skin phenotypes. The blue grey pigmentation is of great cosmetic concern and extremely difficult to treat. Various topical agents have been tried without much success, probably because the pigment is deeper in the dermis. The aim of this study was to assess the clinical efficacy of oral tranexamic acid 250 mg twice daily in LPP. In total 10 consecutive patients clinically diagnosed with LPP were included. A detailed history was taken to ascertain the onset and any possible risk factors. A skin biopsy was done in the patients who consented, to establish the histopathological diagnosis. All the patients were started on oral tranexamic acid 250 mg twice a day after excluding the risk factors for coagulopathy along with strict photoprotection. No other topical treatment was given. All patients were assessed for improvement in the pigmentation every 4 weeks until 12 weeks according to the following scale: no improvement (0%), mild improvement (0–25%), moderate improvement (26–50%), good improvement (51–75%) or very good improvement (76–100%). Photographs were taken and the patient’s satisfaction was also noted. Six of the 10 patients consented for biopsy and their histopathology was consistent with LPP. At the 4-week follow-up, four patients showed mild improvement, four had moderate improvement and two had good improvement. All the patients showed improvement and fading of pigment. Oral tranexamic acid seems to be effective in LPP, but more studies are required to establish the optimum dose and duration of treatment.

Abstract:Lichen sclerosus (LS) is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis typical of the genital region, with rare involvement of extragenital areas and particularly the face. LS therapeutic management is challenging, and common therapies including topical and systemic corticosteroids, topical calcineurin inhibitors, surgery are often ineffective. Herein, we present a case of LS occurred in a 36-year-old girl with facial involvement resistant to therapy with systemic corticosteroids and topical tacrolimus. Considering the involvement of a sensitive area, the young age of the patient, and the consistent clinical experience in using photodynamic therapy for the treatment of facial skin disease, we started a treatment with topical 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA)-photodynamic therapy (PDT) with a dosage of 37 J/cm 2 once a month. We compared our case with eight other facial LS patients from the literature and treated differently.

Preparation of Bi2S3/carbon quantum dot hybrid materials with enhanced photocatalytic properties under ultraviolet-, visible- and near infrared-irradiation.

Abstract:To solve the growing pollution issues, it is a promising alternative to develop efficient sunlight-driven photocatalysts for purifying organic wastewater. Herein, we report a new and efficient full-spectrum-responsive photocatalyst composed of Bi2S3 nanotubes incorporated with carbon quantum dots (C-dots) for rapidly degrading methylene blue (MB) and tetracycline hydrochloride (TC). Compared with naked Bi2S3 nanotubes, the as-prepared Bi2S3/C-dot nanohybrids show a remarkably higher photocatalytic efficiency for degrading MB or TC under ultraviolet (UV-), visible (vis-) and near-infrared (NIR-) light irradiation within 5 minutes. A possible mechanism is proposed for the enhanced photocatalytic activity of the Bi2S3/C-dot nanohybrids. A lower band gap as well as a wider absorbance in the UV-, vis- and NIR-regions can increase the light harvesting ability of the Bi2S3/C-dots. Meanwhile, the existence of C-dots can facilitate the charge separation of the photo-generated electron/hole pairs while electrons transfer from Bi2S3 to C-dots. Besides, an increased surface area of the Bi2S3/C-dot nanohybrids also contributes to the excellent photocatalytic activity.
A chronic pro-inflammatory environment contributes to the physiopathology of actinic lentigines

Abstract:Actinic lentigines (AL) or age spots, are skin hyperpigmented lesions associated with age and chronic sun exposure. To better understand the physiopathology of AL, we have characterized the inflammation response in AL of European and Japanese volunteers. Gene expression profile showed that in both populations, 10% of the modulated genes in AL versus adjacent non lesional skin (NL), i.e. 31 genes, are associated with inflammation/immune process. A pro-inflammatory environment in AL is strongly suggested by the activation of the arachidonic acid cascade and the plasmin pathway leading to prostaglandin production, along with the decrease of anti-inflammatory cytokines and the identification of inflammatory upstream regulators. Furthermore, in line with the over-expression of genes associated with the recruitment and activation of immune cells, immunostaining on skin sections revealed a significant infiltration of CD68+ macrophages and CD4 + T-cells in the dermis of AL. Strikingly, investigation of infiltrated macrophage subsets evidenced a significant increase of pro-inflammatory CD80+/CD68+ M1 macrophages in AL compared to NL. In conclusion, a chronic inflammation, sustained by pro-inflammatory mediators and infiltration of immune cells, particularly pro-inflammatory M1 macrophages, takes place in AL. This pro-inflammatory loop should be thus broken to normalize skin and improve the efficacy of age spot treatment.

Abstract:CLASSICAL MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY is not amenable to any known treatment, but persons with myopathies secondary to systemic disease may make a full recovery when the underlying disorder is corrected. This study is concerned with a comparison of the rates of recovery in thyrotoxic myopathy, in myopathy secondary to Cushing’s disease, and in myopathy associated with iatrogenic hypercorticism. Data have also been collected, by means of a doubleblind study, on the effects of anabolic agents on steroid myopathy. Thyrotoxic myopathy has been well documented. Sanderson and Adeyl reported 2 affected patients, the first one treated by thyroidectomy and the second with methylthiouracil, and their progress was followed electromyographically. In the former only the motor unit patterns were reported, but, in the latter, individual units were analyzed from the triceps and the mean potential (MPD) was calculated. The control figures were, however, those provided by Petersen and Kugelberg? on the biceps. Sanderson and Adey found that approximately two and a half months later these figures returned to normal. Other more extensive studies have been performed; Gimlette3 reported 25 patients with hyperthyroidism who showed gross qualitative electromyographic appearance of a myopathy. He found that clinical recovery took place rapidly after treatment and, in fact, 1 patient was cured in ten days. Yates,4 in a study of endocrine myopathy, measured the MPD in 3 patients with myopathy due to thyrotoxicosis and in 2 to Cushing’s syndrome and found that both power and MPD returned to normal after treatment. In the thyrotoxic patients only 2 readings were performed and the rate of recovery was not stated. However, the patient with Cushing’s disease had recovered in three months, but again only 2 readings were recorded. In steroid myopathy recovery follows either reduction of the dosage or a change of the preparation. Thus, Walton5 recorded myopathy produced by dexamethasone and betamethasone treatment in persons that recovered after a change to prednisolone; Golding and associates6 reported the improvement of 2 patients’ weakness when the dose of dexamethasone and prednisolone was reduced, but these reports contained neither quantitative serial measurements nor any estimate of the rate of recovery. In clinical practice anabolic steroids have often been prescribed in the hope that myopathic muscular weakness could be improved, but reports of their effects have been conflicting. Dowben7 reported an increased survival time in dystrophic mice treated with 17-alphaethyl-19-nortestosterone; although the progression of the disease seemed to be retarded he did not think that muscle function was improved. DeToni8 reported favorable results from treatment in 8 of 18 children with progressive muscular dystrophy, but Barwick and associates9 failed to confirm this in a prolonged controlled trial on 40 patients. Abstract:Background and Objectives: Our recent studies showed that a new topical 5-aminolevulinic acid-mediated photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) protocol using a light-emitting diode (LED) light source is an effective and successful treatment modality for five cases of oral verrucous hyperplasia (OVH) and one case of verrucous carcinoma. In this study, we treated eight OVH lesions with the same topical ALA-PDT protocol to further confirm the efficacy of this protocol on OVH lesions. In addition our recent study demonstrated an unsatisfactory clinical outcome for 24 oral leukoplakia (OL) lesions treated once a week by the same topical ALA-PDT protocol. Therefore, in this study 24 OL lesions were treated twice a week by the same protocol to compare whether the twice-a-week treatment modality could result in a better clinical outcome than the once-a-week treatment modality.Study Design/Materials and Methods: In this study, 8 OVH and 24 OL lesions were treated by the same topical ALA-PDT once a week and twice a week, respectively.Results: All the former eight OVH lesions treated once a week showed complete response (CR) after 2-5 (mean, 3.8) treatments of ALA-PDT. The latter 24 OL lesions treated twice a week demonstrated CR in 8, partial response (PR) in 16, and no response in none. The present 24 OL lesions treated twice a week had a significantly better clinical outcome than the previous 24 OL lesions treated once a week (P = 0.000, chi-square test).Conclusions: We conclude that complete regression of OVH lesions can be achieved by less than six treatments of topical ALA-PDT once a week. Although the response of OL lesions to the topical ALA-PDT is not as good as the response of OVH lesions to the same therapy, all OL lesions can have at least PR after eight treatments with the topical ALA-PDT twice a week. In addition, OL lesions treated twice a week have a significantly better clinical outcome than OL lesions treated once a week.
Lichen Planus of the Eyelids: Case Report of a Rare Presentation of a Common Dermatosis

Abstract:Lichen planus (LP) is a common T-cell-mediated autoimmune skin disease, and its exact etiology is unknown. Typically, it affects the trunk, flexural surfaces, and the mucosa.We report a rare finding of LP involving both eyelids in a 67-year-old female. A 67-year-old Saudi female with a medical history of diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism and rheumatoid arthritis presented with a three-month history of pruritic skin eruptions in both eyelids. She had no associated musculoskeletal symptoms or fatigue and no medical or family history of atopy. The patient had violaceous, thin, scaly plaques confined to both eyelids. Oral mucosa, genitalia, scalp, and nails were not affected. Histopathology from the right lower eyelid confirmed the diagnosis of LP. Hepatitis C virus serology was negative. Patient was examined by ophthalmology to rule out conjunctival involvement of LP. She had dry eyes only. She was initially managed by topical tacrolimus 0.1% ointment and didn't tolerate it due to severe reaction. She tolerated mometasone propionate 0.1% cream, which relieved the itch and partially improved the lesions. Although rare, LP of the eyelids must be considered among differential diagnoses of eyelid dermatitis. It can be confined, or it may concomitantly involve other parts of the body. LP of the eyelid may also extend to the conjunctiva, so it's important to screen patients by ophthalmology to rule out possible ocular involvement. This is the first case report of a Saudi patient with LP confined to the eyelid. The management of LP involving the eyelids is challenging. Treatment options include topical steroids, tacrolimus ointment, phototherapy and oral retinoids (etretinate).

Abstract:The synthesis and conformational properties of 2,6-bis-[2-((4S)-4-methyl-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)phenyl]carbam oylpyridines, 2, have been described. Bisoxazoline 2a was prepared in five steps from 2-nitrobenzoyl chloride in an overall yield of 71%. In contrast to related structures such as 1, bisoxazoline 2a exhibits a highly biased P-type helical conformation in solution and in the solid state. In the crystal lattice, 2a further assembles into a left-handed helical superstructure aligned along the crystallographic c axis. The barrier to helical interconversion, as measured by line-shape analysis of the temperature-dependent (1)H NMR spectra of thiobenzyl derivative 2b, was determined to be quite low ((Delta)G(++) = 12.3 kcal/mol), indicating the presence of a highly dynamic helical chirality.

Abstract:A 72-year-old woman suffering from multiple actinic keratosis (AK) complicating steroid-induced rosacea received 5-aminolevulinic acid-photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) in our outpatient clinic. Both AKs and rosacea achieved remission after one session of PDT. However, an adverse effect of severe acute inflammatory response emerged with lasting hyperpigmentation. We then terminated the following PDT sessions . After skin care and close follow-up for a half year, most symptoms and lesions of AK and rosacea disappeared with mild hyperpigmentation left. ALA-PDT is commonly recommended for multiple AKs based on effectiveness and noninvasiveness, but has controversial efficacy and safety for rosacea. The unusual excessive inflammation in this patient after ALA-PDT may due to skin barrier destruction, vasomotor dysfunction and the immune response by dead Demodex after PDT. This case indicated that carefully evaluation before ALA-PDT is of great importance, especially for those patients with complicated skin situation. For AKs complicating rosacea, modified parameters of ALA-PDT such as less ALA incubation time or reduced light dose should be further studied to achieve the optimal efficacy and safety of ALA-PDT and offer the best benefit.

Abstract:Abstract A 50-year-old woman of south Asian descent presented with a 4-year history of hair loss, itching and follicular prominence at her frontal hairline, in association with increasingly sparse eyebrows and loss of body hair. She was otherwise well and on no medication. Clinical examination revealed typical features of frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), with associated papules on the forehead. In addition, striking hyperpigmentation was evident over the forehead, face and neck. This was felt to be in keeping with FFA-associated dyspigmentation–lichen planus (LP) pigmentosus. Initial management was lymecycline 408 mg once daily, tacrolimus 0.1% ointment twice daily plus mometasone furoate 0.1% two times weekly to the neck, and pimecrolimus cream twice a day to the face, as well as a sun protection factor 50 sunscreen. Hydroxychloroquine was avoided initially due to the potential side-effect of altered skin pigmentation with this drug. While the hairline recession remained unchanged, the pigmentary changes worsened despite treatment and affected areas became increasingly itchy. Lymecycline was stopped and hydroxychloroquine 200 mg once daily was started. After 12 months, the cutaneous pigmentation continued to worsen and was extending onto the arms and torso. A trial of low-dose isotretinoin (20 mg once daily) was considered as this has been reported to be of benefit in LP pigmentosus. However, after 6 months, there was no improvement. A trial of mycophenolate mofetil 500 mg twice daily was then commenced. After 3 months of treatment, skin itching had settled and no new areas of hyperpigmentation were noted. After 9 months, there had been a significant improvement in skin pigmentation, which has been maintained. The extent of frontal hairline recession has remained stable. While FFA was initially described exclusively in postmenopausal White women, it has since been reported in Hispanic, African, Afro-Caribbean and Asian individuals, premenopausal women, and men. Dyspigmentation associated with FFA has largely been a feature observed in patients with darker skin types, and it is not clear whether this pigmentation is part of the spectrum of FFA in individuals with darker skin or whether LP pigmentosus is occurring coincidently with FFA in patients with darker skin types. Low-dose isotretinoin has been reported as being of benefit in LP pigmentosus but was ineffective in this case. Mycophenolate mofetil is also reported to be of benefit in the management of LP pigmentosus, and led to a significant improvement in both pigmentation and itch in this case. This case highlights the therapeutic benefit of mycophenolate mofetil in in LP pigmentosus associated with FFA.

Abstract:Objective To understand the clinic features of Chinese patients with lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP). Methods We report 2 patients with LPP,and select 10 other LPP cases which reported in recent years,than accomplish the meta-analyze among these cases. Results There are 6 males and 4 females among 10 LPP patients,with different clinic feature and dissatisfied curative effect. Conclusions There were no significant differences between males and females in incidence rate,with most onset in adult and chronic process; there were significant heterogeneity in phenotype of this disease and many clinic subgroups; the typical histopathology characteristics of the disease is liquation in basal cell (generally or local),infiltrated by melanocytes,lymphocytes (surrounding or along with basement membrane zone),and showed difference in epidermal layer,which potentially caused by the different lesion of biopsy we got and presented earlier stage and advanced stage.
Pembrolizumab-induced lichen planus in patients with metastatic melanoma: a report of two cases and prognostic implications of cutaneous immune-related adverse events

Abstract:Patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) commonly experience cutaneous immune-related adverse events (irAEs). We present two cases, a 51-year-old female and a 70-year-old male, that were undergoing treatment with pembrolizumab for metastatic melanoma and developed scaly, erythematous papules on their skin. Following skin biopsies, histological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of lichen planus. In the first patient, acitretin at a dosage of 25 mg/day was administered for 6 months, resulting in complete resolution of lichen lesions. Imaging scans showed no signs of melanoma. The second patient was treated with topical betamethasone dipropionate ointment for several weeks, which led to a favorable therapeutic response. During follow-up, a thoracic CT scan showed several micronodular lesions in the right lung, whereas brain and abdomen CT scans showed no signs of the disease. Lichen planus is not a commonly reported irAE in patients treated with ICIs. This report underscores the importance of conducting skin biopsies in patients receiving ICI therapy and highlights the potential prognostic importance of skin irAEs in patients with melanoma receiving such treatment.

Management of patients with lichen planopilaris is difficult due to a paucity of high-quality data on its epidemiology and pathogenesis and the efficacy of therapies. The purpose of this study was to report the characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with lichen planopilaris in a tertiary referral centre. Methods: A retrospective review of medical records in patients with lichen planopilaris seen in the Hair Clinic at the Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc., Melbourne, from 2012 to 2016. Results: Altogether 32 patients with lichen planopilaris (29 women) were included. The onset age ranged from 17 to 77 years with a mean age of 55.2 ± 13.5 years. Scalp pruritus (84%) and perifollicular erythema (72%) were the most common presenting symptoms and signs, respectively. Lichen planopilaris involved the frontal scalp in 66% of patients, the parietal in 56%, and vertex scalp in 50%. There were wide variations in treatment response. Conclusion: Lichen planopilaris is characterised by a marked female predominance and clinically with pruritus, perifollicular erythema and perifollicular scale. The current range of treatments used produced mixed and often unsatisfactory results. Multicentre, prospective, randomised controlled trials are warranted to provide clearer data on efficacious treatment options.
Topical Photodynamic Therapy with Different Forms of 5-Aminolevulinic Acid in the Treatment of Actinic Keratosis

Abstract:Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is safe and effective in the treatment of patients with actinic keratosis (AK). The aim of the study was to assess the efficacy, tolerability and cosmetic outcome of topical PDT in the treatment of AKs with three forms of photosensitizers: 5-Aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride (ALA-HCl), 5-Aminolevulinate methyl ester hydrochloride (MAL-HCl) and 5-Aminolevulinate phosphate (ALA-P). The formulations were applied onto selected scalp/face areas. Fluorescence was assessed with a FotoFinder Dermoscope 800 attachment. Skin areas were irradiated with Red Beam Pro+, Model APRO (MedLight GmbH, Herford, Germany). Applied treatments were assessed during the PDT as well as 7 days and 12 weeks after its completion. Ninety-four percent of patients rated obtained cosmetic effect excellent. The efficacy of applied PSs did not differ significantly. However, pain intensity during the PDT procedure was significantly lower in the area treated with ALA-P (5.8 on average) in comparison to the areas treated with ALA-HCl or MAL-HCl (7.0 on average on 0–10 scale). Obtained results show that ALA-P may undergo more selective accumulation than ALA-HCl and MAL-HCl. Our promising results suggest that PDT with the use of ALA-P in AK treatment may be an advantageous alternative to the already used ALA-HCl and MAL-HCl.

Abstract:Background: Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is an inflammatory cicatricial alopecia characterized by an irreversible destruction of the hair follicle resulting in its permeant destruction. The clinical presentation of LPP is a progressive patchy scarring alopecia. A variety of systemic agents is used to treat LPP with varying success. The aim of this retrospective, real-life analysis was to evaluate the treatment of hydroxychloroquine for LPP. Method: In this retrospective, single-center study, we analyzed 110 patients with LPP and frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) who received treatment over a 12-month period from March 2014 to March 2021 at the Department of Dermatology, University of Mainz Medical Center. Patient records were analyzed for response to treatment, co-morbidities, disease progression-free survival (DPFS), and safety. Clinical parameters associated with treatment response were determined with Cox regression modelling and logistic regression. Results: Overall, 77 of 110 patients were treated with a systemic agent. There was a clear association between LPP and the occurrence of Hashimoto thyroiditis. Topical treatment with corticosteroids did not improve clinical symptoms in the majority of patients (15 out of 101). In 71% of patients treated with systemic cyclosporine A and 62% of patients treated with hydroxychloroquine, we observed a significant resolution of the inflammatory process, which correlated with a robust durable clinical response (p < 0.001). Toxicity was observed in 17% (n = 9) of patients receiving systemic treatment with hydroxychloroquine and correlated with the duration of systemic treatment (p < 0.001). Treatment discontinuation was associated with a flare-up of clinical symptoms (29%), which required the re-initiation of second-line therapy in 13 out of 51 patients. Overall, the initiation of second-line treatment, either hydroxychloroquine or Cyclosporine A (CsA), yielded positive results, especially in the patient cohort treated with hydroxychloroquine (overall response rate, ORR = 100%), who showed disease progression during CsA or retinoids. Conclusions: Our results from this contemporary cohort of patients with LPP and FFA indicate that hydroxychloroquine and cyclosporine are effective systemic agents in decreasing clinical symptoms. However, our data also show that the discontinuation of treatment is often associated with the exacerbation of clinical symptoms. Response rates to second-line treatment were especially favorable in the patient cohort with hydroxychloroquine.

Abstract:Objectives Pigmented actinic keratoses (PAKs), a pigmented variant of actinic keratosis, present diagnostic challenges due to their resemblance to both benign and malignant lesions. Conventional therapies have inconsistent outcomes and may cause undesirable side effects. This study investigates the efficacy of the Alexandrite laser, a pulsed laser with selective melanin absorption, for PAK treatment. Through dermoscopic analysis pretreatment, it aims to identify predictive patterns for better treatment outcomes. Materials and Methods Patients with PAKs were enrolled in a multicenter study, receiving standardized Alexandrite laser therapy. Detailed dermoscopic evaluations were conducted pretreatment. The Physician's Global Assessment (PGA) and Target Lesion Pigmentation (TLP) scales measured treatment efficacy. Results The study included 50 patients with 60 PAKs. Following treatment, there was a statistically significant reduction in TLP scores, particularly in lesions with pigmented pseudo‐networks and gray‐brownish dots, which were linked to improved outcomes. No adverse effects were reported, suggesting the safety and tolerability of the laser treatment. Conclusion The Alexandrite laser emerges as a promising modality for the management of PAK pigmentation, with specific dermoscopic patterns being indicative of a favorable response. This study reinforces the critical importance of dermoscopic expertise in the selection and optimization of treatment for PAKs. Future research should focus on comparative studies with different lasers or combination therapies to develop a more comprehensive treatment framework for PAKs.

Abstract:Introduction and importance: Ocular involvement in lichen planus is highly uncommon, primarily affecting the eyelids, conjunctiva, and less frequently, the cornea. Peripheral ulcerative keratitis (PUK), a rare subtype form of corneal lichen planus, has been reported only once in the literature. Case presentation: The authors report details of a 34-year-old man with confirmed cutaneous lichen planus who developed severe PUK, a rare ocular manifestation of lichen planus. Despite initial worsening with corticosteroids, successful resolution of PUK was achieved with topical Cyclosporin and azathioprine over 2 months but with a final visual acuity limited to light perception. Clinical discussion: To the best of our knowledge, very rare cases have been reported of the coexistence of severe PUK and lichen planus. Lichen planus should be considered in any case of PUKs associated with cutaneous-mucosal manifestations cyclosporin and azathioprine are crucial for effective management and favorable outcomes in such cases. Conclusion: This case aims to show the importance of dermatological examination in the presence of any peripheral ulcerative keratitis. It also sheds light on the therapeutic difficulties and the prognosis of this rare form of ocular lichen planus.
