Abstract:A highly fluorinated porphyrin-based covalent organic frameworks magnetic adsorbent (FPy-COF@PDA@Fe 3 O 4 ) was fabricated by using polydopamine (PDA) grafting Fe 3 O 4 nanospheres as magnetic core and FPy-COF as shell for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of fluoroquinolones (FQs). FPy-COF was constructed by using 5,15-bis(4-aminophenyl)-10,20-bis(perfluorophenyl)porphyrin and 4,4′-biphenyldicarboxaldehyde as two building blocks. PDA as a bridge grafting on the surface of Fe 3 O 4 nanospheres facilitated the growth of FPy-COF. The morphology and structure of FPy-COF@PDA@Fe 3 O 4 adsorbent were characterized in detail. The prepared magnetic adsorbent exhibited good extraction capability to amphiphilic FQs due to their superior chemical affinities such as fluorophilic interaction and hydrogen-bond interaction from nitrogen-rich skeleton. Under the optimized conditions, the MSPE method combined with high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (HPLC–UV) was developed to sensitively quantify trace level of six FQs in milk samples. The developed MSPE-HPLC method showed good linearity with wide concentration range, precision, and low limits of detection (S/N = 3) for six FQs as low as 2.3 ngꞏmL −1 in milk. The extraction recoveries of different spiked concentrations were in the range 77.8–110.4% for milk samples with RSD less than 9.7%.

Abstract:In this work, Fe3O4/Tp-BHBD beta-ketoenamine covalent organic framework (COF) was rapidly prepared. Then, it was used as magnetic solid phase microextraction (MSPE) adsorbents for the adsorption and determination of organophosphate ester (OPE) residues in surface water coupling with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The results of material characterization tests confirmed the generation of magnetized COF. The adsorption process was optimized by Box-Behnken Design and one-factor optimization experiments. After five use cycles, Fe3O4/Tp-DHBD still achieved good adsorption and high recovery. Under the optimal conditions, the developed Fe3O4/Tp-DHBD COF-MSPE-HPLC-MS/MS method obtained good linearity for 12 OPEs within 0.25-50.0 ng mL-1 and the limit of detection of 0.02-0.18 ng mL-1. The relative standard deviations were less than 8.6 %. Rapid detection and analysis of three samples from wastewater treatment plant showed that the recoveries of most of target OPEs at different spiked concentrations ranged from 62.0 % to 116.9 %, 60.9 %-115.1 %, and 60.4 %-112.9 %, respectively. In general, the established COF-MSPE method can provide convenient and satisfactory purification for OPEs compounds in surface water by adsorption and desorption, which is promising for specific applications.

Abstract:A simple and efficient magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) method was established with magnetic covalent organic framework (COF) as adsorbent to enrich organophosphorus pesticides from fatty milk samples, followed by the sensitive determination via LC-MS/MS. The key parameters influencing the MSPE efficiency were comprehensively investigated to afford an optimized procedure. All the target analytes could be captured directly by magnetic COF from milk without protein precipitation, making the pretreatment rapid and convenient. Systematic method validation demonstrated its satisfactory linearity, recoveries (80.0-105 %), and precision (RSDs <12.3 %). The method limits of quantification were 0.2-0.5 μg L−1. A comparison experiment to the reported solid-phase extraction fully verified the present MSPE more rapid, accurate, and environment-friendly. Furthermore, FT-IR and XPS analysis were performed to reveal the adsorption mechanisms of magnetic COF to organophosphorus pesticides, which could offer guidance on the rational design of COF adsorbent for various target analytes.

Abstract:In this study, a magnetic composite material was prepared based on covalent organic framework (COFs) materials for the detection of trace organophosphorus pesticides. Fe3O4@C3N4@COFs were synthesized by a layer-by-layer assembly strategy and applied to the selective identification, detection and removal of profenofos pesticides using magnetic solid-phase extraction technique. After seven regeneration cycles, the composite exhibited excellent selectivity and affinity for profenofos, and eventually still achieved an extraction efficiency higher than 75%. Under optimized conditions, the proposed magnetic solid-phase extraction method coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry showed a low limit of detection (1 × 10−5 μg/mL) for profenofos. The developed method was successfully used to detect profenofos in spiked fruit samples with satisfactory recoveries (74.33% −116.59%) and relative standard deviations (0.27% −7.41%). This study highlights the potential of COFs-based magnetic composites in sample pretreatment for targeted analysis and is a novel pathway for efficient sample preparation in food safety analysis.

Abstract:The N and Fe doped carbon dot (CD NFe ) was prepared by microwave procedure. Using CD NFe as the nano-substrate, fipronil (FL) as the template molecule and α-methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, the molecular imprinted polymethacrylic acid nanoprobe (CD NFe @MIP) with difunction was synthesized by microwave procedure. The CD NFe @MIP was characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier infrared spectroscopy, and other techniques. The results show that the nanoprobe not only distinguish FL but also has a strong catalytic effect on the HAuCl 4 –Na 2 C 2 O 4 nanogold indicator reaction. When the nanoprobes specifically recognize FL, their catalytic effect is significantly reduced. Since the AuNPs generated by HAuCl 4 reduction have strong surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) effects, a SERS/RRS dual-mode sensing platform for detecting 5–500 ng/L FL was constructed. The new analytical method was applied to detect FL in food samples with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 3.3–8.1 % and a recovery rate of 94.6–104.5 %.

Abstract:The enrichment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) poses significant challenges for environmental and food safety monitoring, given their toxic and persistent nature, highly fluorinated character, and low concentration. This study focuses on the construction of a new deep eutectic solvent (DES)-functionalized magnetic metal–organic framework (MOF) adsorbent for fluorotelomer alcohols (FTOHs) analysis in foods. The DES, composed of levulinic acid and trifluoromethoxylbenzene, was modified onto the surface of magnetic UiO-66-NH 2 to enable the specific adsorption of FTOHs during the pretreatment process, which was then followed by GC–MS analysis. The method exhibited a limit of detection (LOD) ranging from 31.51 to 185.76 pg g – 1 with satisfactory recoveries (73.83 %-128.55 %), and was successfully used in detecting FTOHs in 12 edible oils samples with the concentrations ranging from 401.89 to 8006.18 pg g − 1 . The proposed adsorbent exhibited significantly improved enrichment performance for PFASs, primarily attributed to the cooperative enhancement of double hydrogen-bonding interactions and fluorine affinity via the elucidation of 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance ( 1 H NMR), 19 F NMR, and quantum chemical calculations. This study provided new insights and directions for the design and fabrication of selective materials to pretreatment ultra-trace emerging contaminants in complex matrices.

Abstract:Covalent organic frameworks (COFs), which are a new type of carbonaceous polymeric material, have attracted great interest because of their large surface area and high chemical and thermal stability. However, to the best of our knowledge, no work has reported the use of magnetic COFs as adsorbents for magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) to enrich and determine environmental pollutants. This work aims to investigate the feasibility of using covalent triazine-based framework (CTF)/Fe2O3 composites as MSPE adsorbents to enrich and analyze perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) at trace levels in water samples. Under the optimal conditions, the method developed exhibited low limits of detection (0.62–1.39 ng·L-1), a wide linear range (5–4000 ng L-1), good repeatability (1.12–9.71%), and good reproducibility (2.45–7.74%). The new method was successfully used to determine PFCs in actual environmental water samples. MSPE based on CTF/Fe2O3 composites exhibits potential for analysis of PFCs at trace levels in environmental water samples.

Abstract:Most of the reported covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are hydrophobic, limiting their adsorption application in sample pretreatment field. In this work, sulphonate functionalized magnetic covalent organic frameworks (COFs) composites were first synthesized by loading gold nanoparticles on Fe3O4@COF(TpBD) surface and then functionalized by sodium 3-mercaptopropanesulphonate immobilization via Au-S bonding formation (denoted as Fe3O4@COF(TpBD)@Au-MPS nanocomposites), which were further utilized as adsorbents for magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of fluoroquinolones. Compared with Fe3O4@COF(TpBD), the composites exhibited higher affinity to fluoroquinolones. Under optimized conditions, the developed MSPE method coupled with HPLC-MS/MS showed good linearity (R2 ≥0.9989) and yielded low limits of detection (0.1-1.0 μg kg−1) for fluoroquinolones. Moreover, the proposed method was successfully applied to extract fluoroquinolones from spiked meats (pork, chicken and bovine). The satisfactory recoveries were in the range of 82-110.2% with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) lower than 7.7%. These results indicated that the Fe3O4@COF(TpBD)@Au-MPS is a promising magnetic adsorbent for trace fluoroquinolones determination in meat samples. This work not only provided a facile strategy for COF functionalization, but also developed an efficient method for detecting fluoroquinolones in foodstuffs.

Abstract:Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent organic pollutants that pose significant risks to human health and the environment. Efficient and selective enrichment of these compounds was crucial for their accurate detection and quantification in complex matrices. Herein, we report a novel magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) method using fluorine-functionalized magnetic amino-microporous organic network (Fe 3 O 4 @MON-NH 2 @F 7 ) adsorbent for the efficient enrichment of PFAS from aqueous samples. The core-shell Fe 3 O 4 @MON-NH 2 @F 7 nanosphere was synthesized, featuring magnetic Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles as the core and a porous amino-functionalized MONs coating as the shell, which was further modified by fluorination. The synthesized adsorbent material exhibited high specific surface area, hydrophobicity, and abundant fluorine groups, facilitating efficient and selective adsorption of PFAS via electrostatic attraction, hydrophobic-hydrophobic interactions, fluorine-fluorine interactions, π-CF interactions and hydrogen bonding. Furthermore, the MSPE method coupled with ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) allowed for the rapid, sensitive, and accurate determination of ultra-trace PFAS in real water samples, human serum, and human follicular fluid. Under optimal conditions, the established MSPE method demonstrated a linear range (2 to 2000 ng L −1 ), with a correlation coefficient exceeding 0.9977, low limits of detection ranging from 0.54 to 1.47 ng L −1 , with a relative standard deviation (RSD) < 9.1 %. Additionally, the method showed excellent performance in complex real samples (recovery ratio of 81.7 to 121.6%). The adsorption mechanism was investigated through kinetic, isotherm, and molecular simulation studies, revealing that the introduction of fluorine groups enhanced the hydrophobic interaction and fluorine-fluorine attraction between the adsorbent and PFAS. This work provides a proof-of-concept strategy for designing adsorbent materials with high efficiency and selectivity by post-modification, which has great potential for the detection and analysis of PFAS in complex samples.

Abstract:Phenylpyrazoles are widely used pesticides in the food industry. It is highly desirable to develop efficient pre-treatment and analysis methods to extract and detect phenylpyrazoles in complex food matrices. Herein, the study reports novel squaraine-linked zwitterionic core-shell magnetic covalent organic frameworks (MCOFs), which are found to be excellent pretreatment materials for the detection of trace phenylpyrazoles in samples. By coupling MCOFs to magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) with Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) analysis, the detection of phenylpyrazoles (fipronil, fipronil sulfone, fipronil sulfide, fipronil de-sulfoxide, fipronil desulfinyl, ethiprole, and flufiprole) is achieved and shows good linearity at concentrations of 1-800 µg L-1 (R2 ≥ 0.9930). The limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), and recovery rates are 0.01-0.50 µg kg-1, 0.04-1.72 µg kg-1, and 70.96-115.32%, respectively. More importantly, this method is successfully applied to determine the phenylpyrazoles in commercial egg, poultry, milk, jujube, cabbage, tea, and rice with a detection rate of ≈0.04%. Therefore, the developed method may contribute to a new strategy for the purification and multi-target extraction of complex food matrices.
Covalent Organic Framework-Lzu1@pei@fe3o4-based Magnetic Dispersive Micro-Solid Phase Extraction of Tetracyclines from Environmental Water Prior to HPLC Analysis.

Abstract:In this work, COF-LZU1@PEI@Fe3O4 was synthesized by immobilization of COF-LZU1 onto the surface of polyethyleneimine-functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (PEI@Fe3O4) and employed as an adsorbent for magnetic dispersive micro-solid phase extraction of tetracyclines (TCs). COF-LZU1@PEI@Fe3O4 was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms analysis. The optimal extraction and desorption conditions were as follows: 15.00 mL sample solution (pH 7.0) extracted with 5.0 mg of adsorbent for 30 min at 30 °C, and then desorbed with 1.50 mL methanol/acetonitrile/0.02 mol L-1 oxalic acid solution (v/v, 1 : 2 : 7). Good linearities were obtained between the peak area and TC concentration ranging from 5-500 μg L-1 with correlation coefficients (R2) higher than 0.9992 and limits of detection lower than 0.51 μg L-1. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) of intra-day and inter-day were less than 5.7% and 7.4%, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of TCs in environmental water samples with recoveries in the range of 87.0-113.8% and RSDs less than 5.1%, suggesting great potential of COF-LZU1@PEI@Fe3O4 for efficient extraction and analysis of trace TCs in water samples.
Surface imprinted-covalent organic frameworks for efficient solid-phase extraction of fluoroquinolones in food samples

Abstract:Molecularly imprinting on covalent organic frameworks (MI-COF) is a promising way to prepare selective adsorbents for effective extraction of fluoroquinolones (FQs). However, the unstable framework structure and complex imprinting process are challenging for the construction of MI-COF. Here, we report a facile surface imprinting approach with dopamine to generate imprinted cavities on the surface of irreversible COF for highly efficient extraction of FQs in food samples. The irreversible-linked COF was fabricated from hexahydroxytriphenylene and tetrafluorophthalonitrile to ensure COF stability. Moreover, the introduction of dopamine surface imprinted polymer into COF provides abundant imprinted sites and endows excellent selectivity for FQs recognition against other antibiotics. Taking enrofloxacin as a template molecule, the prepared MI-COF gave an exceptional adsorption capacity of 581 mg g −1 , a 2.2-fold enhancement of adsorption capacity compared with nonimprinted COF. The MI-COF was further explored as adsorbent to develop a novel solid-phase extraction method coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography for the simultaneous determination of enrofloxacin, norfloxacin and ciprofloxacin. The developed method gave the low limits of detection at 0.003–0.05 ng mL −1 , high precision with relative standard deviations less than 3.5%. The recoveries of spiked FQs in food samples ranged from 80.4% to 110.7%.

Abstract:The novel amino-functionalized magnetic covalent organic framework nanocomposites (Fe3O4@[NH2]-COFs) were fabricated at room temperature, which were explored as a magnetic adsorbent for magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE). On the basis of the hydrophobic surfaces of magnetic nanocomposites and introduction of primary amines into the COFs shell, Fe3O4@[NH2]-COFs displayed excellent enrichment capacity in "catching" ultratrace perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) from water samples because of the synergistic combination of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between PFAAs and Fe3O4@[NH2]-COFs. Under the optimized pretreatment and instrumental parameters, the proposed pretreatment approach, which hybridized MSPE using Fe3O4@[NH2]-COFs and HPLC-MS/MS, displayed favorable linearity (10–10,000 ng L−1) with R2 (0.9990–0.9999), low limits of detection (0.05–0.38 ng L−1), and excellent repeatability (3.7%–9.2%). Moreover, the established approach was successfully utilized to determine PFAAs in real water samples with spiked recoveries ranging from 72.1% to 115.4%. Results indicated that Fe3O4@[NH2]-COFs would be a potential alternative for MSPE of PFAAs at ultra-low levels.

Abstract:A porous magnetic covalent organic framework, Fe 3 O 4 @TPBD-TPA (terephthalaldehyde (TPA) , N , N , N ′, N ′-tetrakis( p -aminophenyl)- p -phenylenediamine (TPBD)), was synthesized using the Schiff base reaction under mild reaction conditions. This adsorbent exhibited excellent adsorption performance for aflatoxins. The adsorption capacity of Fe 3 O 4 @TPBD-TPA for aflatoxins ranged from 64.4 to 84.4 mg/g. A magnetic solid-phase extraction combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method based on Fe 3 O 4 @TPBD-TPA was developed for the efficient determination of four types of aflatoxins in food samples (maize, maize oil, peanut, and peanut oil). The determination coefficients ( R 2 ) were ≥0.9972. The method exhibited detection limits ranging from 0.01 to 0.06 μg/kg and spiked recoveries of 80.0 to 113.1%. The intra-day and inter-day precision were less than 6.77%, indicating good repeatability. The adsorbent showed promising prospects for the efficient enrichment of trace amounts of aflatoxins in complex food matrices.

Abstract:A magnetic covalent organic framework (M-COF) was designed and selected as sorbent for magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of AFM1 and AFM2 in milk, followed by LC–MS/MS analysis. The application of 2,5-Dihydroxy-1,4-benzenedicarboxaldehyde (Dt) and 4′,5′-bis(4-aminophenyl)-[1,1′:2′,1″-terphenyl]-4,4″-diamine (BAPTPDA) as monomers endows M-COF excellent properties for adsorbing AFM1 and AFM2. The morphology, structure, stability, and magnetism of the Fe3O4@COF(BAPTPDA-Dt) were characterized by various techniques including scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, FTIR, thermogravimetric analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometer. The Fe3O4 microspheres were covered by COF shells. Fe3O4@COF exhibited excellent magnetism and stability. Some parameters that may influence the adsorption efficiency of MSPE were also optimized, making the extraction process more effective, time-saving (about 3 min), and less organic-reagent-consuming (only 4 mL of acetonitrile required). It is noteworthy that the Fe3O4@COF(BAPTPDA-Dt) can be reutilized more than 8 times. The AFM1 and AFM2 were determined by LC–MS/MS. The LODs for AFM1 and AFM2 were in the range 0.0069 to 0.0078 μg kg−1. A wide linearity range (0.01–100 μg kg−1) with coefficients of determination (R2) ranging from 0.9998 to 0.9999 was obtained. The recoveries at four spiked concentrations (0.05, 0.5, 5, and 50 μg kg−1) in the milk matrix ranged from 85.2 to 106.5%. The intraday RSDs and the interday RSDs were in the range 1.74–4.58% and 2.65–6.69%, respectively. The matrix effect (9.3% for AFM1 and 6.7% for AFM2) was also significantly lower than that observed in other work . Overall, the established method has provided a powerful tool for rapid pretreatment and sensitive determination of AFM1 and AFM2 in milk with negligible matrix effect, presenting important value in toxicant determination.

Abstract:A fluorometric method is described for the determination of fipronil, a frequently-used insecticide. It exploits the blue fluorescence of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and the selectivity of molecularly imprinted silica (MIS). The MIS was prepared via the sol-gel method by using fipronil as the template, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane as functional monomer, and tetraethoxysilane as cross-linker in the presence of CQDs. The blue fluorescence of the CQD@MIS, with excitation/emission peaks at 340/422 nm, is quenched by fipronil. The assay works in the 0. 70 pM to 47 μM fipronil concentration range, and the limit of detection is 19 pM. The method was successfully applied to the quantitation of fipronil in spiked eggs, milk, and tap water. Recoveries between 83.8 and 114.0% were achieved. The corresponding relative standard deviations (RSD) are less than 6.67%.Schematic representation of a high sensitivite and selectivite fluorescence nanoprobe constructed by combining the excellent fluorescence property of carbon quantum dots and the predicted selectivity of molecularly imprinted silica. It was applied to analyze fipronil in egg, milk and tap water, respectively.

Abstract:Fe3O4@MIL-100 (Fe)/PEI are used for the first time as an adsorbent material for the extraction of pesticide residues (epoxiconazole, flusilazole, tebuconazole, and triadimefon) from food matrices. The adsorbent proposed (Fe3O4@MIL-100(Fe)/PEI) was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) techniques to evaluate the properties of the sorbent. Then, the Fe3O4@MIL-100 (Fe)/PEI was employed for the quantification of the four triazole fungicides in fruits and vegetables (apple, orange, tomato, cabbage, and cucumber) using HPLC-UV for separation and detection. During the extraction process, the main parameters such as amount of adsorbent, extraction time, pH value, ionic strength, eluting solvent, and eluting volume were optimized. Under the optimum conditions, good linearity of this method was observed for all analytes, with correlation coefficients (R2) ≥ 0.9908. The limits of detection (LODs) ranged from 0.021–3.04 μg kg−1. The extraction recoveries of the four triazole fungicides varied from 73.9 to 109.4% with relative standard deviations (RSD) in the range 0.5 to 6.2%. Compared with other MOFs, the modification of Fe3O4@MIL-100 (Fe) with PEI shows high efficient adsorption due to the combined benefits of MIL-100 (Fe) and PEI. The material is easily synthesized, has good stability, and is of low cost.

Abstract:Developing a simple and effective method for measuring carbaryl residues in food is urgent due to its widespread use and the associated health risks in agriculture, as well as various defects in existing detection techniques. The COF (TpPa-NH2)@Fe3O4 nanocomposite (amino modification) was synthesized via a two-step method and used as an adsorbent for the extraction of carbaryl from food samples in this study. The results indicated that COF (TpPa-NH2)@Fe3O4 can rapidly and successfully capture carbaryl directly from samples via π–π stacking and hydrophobic interactions, achieving maximum adsorption within 5 min under a small adsorbent quantity using a fluorescence spectrophotometer. Under the optimized conditions, carbaryl exhibited good linearity in the range of 0.2–120 μg·kg−1, and the limit of detection was 0.012 μg·kg−1. The recoveries of the samples were 96.0–107.4%. This method has broad application prospects for the monitoring of carbaryl in food.

Abstract:Trifluoromethyl covalent organic framework (CF3-COF) is facilely synthesized at room temperature using for solid-phase microextraction (SPME). The CF3-COF coating displays an improved extraction performance for per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs) comparing to amorphous polymer coating, non-contained fluorine covalent organic framework coating and commercially available SPME coating. The fluorine affinity of trifluoromethyl in CF3-COF for PFASs is demonstrated using the density functional theory calculation. Following the microextraction with CF3-COF-coated fiber, the targeted PFASs are eluted with 1 mL acetonitrile and quantified by ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. The low limits of detection are 0.1-0.7 pg g-1 for milk and 0.2-0.8 pg g-1 for milk powder, suggesting the outstanding sensitivity. The precision for the method ranges between 2.9 and 9.9%. The fiber-to-fiber repeatability is in the range of 4.2-9.5%. Under the optimum conditions, the relative recoveries are 91.0-110% with RSDs ≤ 10% for milk and 89.8-111% with RSDs ≤ 10% for milk powder.

Abstract:A core-shell structured magnetic covalent organic frameworks of the type Fe3O4@COFs was prepared by using the Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic core, and 4,4"-diamino-p-terphenyl and 1,3,5-tris(p-formylphenyl)benzene as two building blocks. The Fe3O4@COFs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrum, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, zeta potentiometric analysis, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermogravimetric analysis and the nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms. The Fe3O4@COFs have core-shell structure with average diameter of 200 ± 2.4 nm, a high specific surface area (124 m2·g-1), uniform pore size distribution (3.1 nm), good magnetic responsivity (36.8 emu·g-1), good thermal and chemical stability. They were applied as the sorbents for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) for fluoroquinolones (FQs) ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, lomefloxacin, gatifloxacin, levofloxacin and pefloxacin. The effects of sorbent dosage, extraction time, p H value, ionic strength, desorption solvent and desorption time were investigated. By combining MSPE with HPLC-DAD analysis, a rapid and sensitive method was developed for the enrichment and determination of these FQs. The method had good linearity in the range of 2.5-1500 ng·g-1 FQ concentration range and low limits of detection (0.25-0.5 ng·g-1). The method was successfully applied to the extraction and determination of FQs in (spiked) pork, milk and human plasma samples. Recoveries ranged from 78.7-103.5% (with RSD<6.2%).Schematic representation of the magnetic covalent organic frameworks which prepared by using the Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic core, 4,4"-diamino-p-terphenyl and 1,3,5-tris(p-formylphenyl)benzene as two building blocks.
