Abstract:Background and objective: The application of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in combination with targeted therapy and immunotherapy (TACE-T-I) for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has gained increasing attention. However, there are variations in the efficacy and safety outcomes between TACE-T-I versus TACE combined with targeted drugs (TACE-T). This study aims to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of TACE-T-I versus TACE-T in unresectable HCC. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases were searched from inception to August 21, 2023, for comparative studies on TACE-T-I versus TACE-T for unresectable HCC. Outcome measures included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR) and the incidence of treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs). OS was the primary outcome of this study. Weighted mean difference (WMD) or hazard ratio (HR) was used as the pooled statistic for OS and PFS. Relative risk (RR) was employed as the pooled statistic for ORR, DCR and the incidence of TRAEs. And 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated for all effect measures. Data analysis was conducted using Stata 14.0 software. Results: The meta-analysis included 14 studies with 2144 patients. The pooled results showed that compared with patients in the TACE-T group, patients in the TACE-T-I group had higher ORR (RR = 1.61; 95%CI: 1.38–1.89) and DCR (RR = 1.17; 95%CI: 1.09–1.26). Patients in the TACE-T-I group experienced prolonged PFS (WMD = 3.08; 95%CI: 2.63–3.53) and OS (WMD = 5.76; 95%CI: 4.68–6.84). And the risk of disease progression (HR = 0.45; 95%CI: 0.37–0.55) and death (HR = 0.43; 95%CI: 0.38–0.49) was lower in the TACE-T-I group. Common TRAEs included fever, pain, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, elevated ALT, elevated AST, hypertension, hand-foot syndrome, proteinuria, and diarrhea. The incidence and severity of TRAEs in the TACE-T-I group were similar to those in the TACE-T group, with no significant differences (P > .05). Conclusion: Current evidence suggests that, on the basis of TACE combined with targeted therapy, the addition of immunotherapy provides better clinical efficacy and survival benefits for unresectable HCC patients, with good tolerability.

Abstract:Background Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) based neoadjuvant therapy was proven effective in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recently, tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) also showed promise in HCC treatment. However, the prognostic benefits associated with these treatments remain uncertain. This study aimed to explore the relationship between pathologic response and prognostic features in HCC patients who received neoadjuvant therapy. Methods HCC patients who received TACE either with or without TKIs/ICIs as neoadjuvant therapy before liver resection were retrospectively collected from the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine in China. Pathologic response was determined by calculating the proportion of non-viable area within the tumor. Major pathologic response (MPR) was defined as the presence of non-viable tumor cells reaching a minimum of 90%. Complete pathologic response (CPR) was characterized by the absence of viable cells observed in the tumor. Results A total of 481 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were enrolled, with 76 patients (15.8%) achieving CPR and 179 (37.2%) reaching MPR. The median recurrence-free survival (mRFS) in the CPR + MPR group was significantly higher than the non-MPR group (31.3 vs. 25.1 months). The difference in 3-year overall survival (OS) rate was insignificant (90.2% vs. 87.6%). Multivariate Cox regression analysis identified failure to achieve MPR (hazard ratio = 1.548, 95% confidence interval: 1.122-2.134; P = 0.008), HBsAg positivity (HR = 1.818, 95% CI: 1.062-3.115, P = 0.030), multiple lesions (HR = 2.278, 95% CI: 1.621-3.195, P < 0.001), and baseline tumor size > 5 cm (HR = 1.712, 95% CI: 1.031-2.849, P = 0.038) were independent risk factors for RFS. Subgroup analysis showed that 67 of 93 (72.0%) patients who received the combination of TACE, TKIs, and ICIs achieved MPR + CPR. Conclusions In individuals who received TACE-based neoadjuvant therapy for HCC, failure to achieve MPR emerges as an independent risk factor for RFS. Notably, the combination of TACE, TKIs, and ICIs demonstrated the highest rate of MPR.

Abstract:Background The study was conducted to explore whether high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) can improve the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Wanfang Data, CQVIP, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Chinese Biomedical (CBM) databases were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the effect of TACE in combination with HIFU group (group A) to TACE alone group (group B) in treating intermediate and advanced HCC. The primary outcomes were overall survival (OS) rate and tumor response rate. The odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for each study were calculated and then pooled with fixed effects model or random effects model. Sensitivity analyses and subgroup analyses were conducted. A publication bias was also evaluated. Results After literature selection, eleven RCTs involving 803 patients were included in this meta-analysis. This meta-analysis revealed that group A was associated with an increased 6-month OS rate (OR = 0.20), 12-month OS rate (OR = 0.23), 24-month OS rate (OR = 0.32), and overall response rate (WHO criterion, OR = 0.22; RECIST criterion, OR = 0.30). Furthermore, subgroup analyses showed no bias in the result. Given the limited number of studies that reported major complications, no additional meta-analysis of complication was conducted. Despite no special treatment, any complication following HIFU treatment was found to subside within 3-7 days. Conclusion TACE in combination with HIFU is associated with increased OS and tumor response in intermediate and advanced HCC. Current evidence supports the use of HIFU after TACE treatment in intermediate and advanced HCC.

Abstract:Objective: This review assesses the efficacy and safety of the combination of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and camrelizumab for treating advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is to provide a goal, evidence-based medical foundation for effectively guiding clinical practice. Methods: We conducted a computerized search of six electronic databases to identify studies pertinent to the combination of TACE and camrelizumab for treating advanced HCC. For further analysis of clinical indicators and adverse events data, we utilized random or fixed-effect models to account for heterogeneity between studies. Results: As of May 30, 2023, 12 articles were included for Meta-analysis, encompassing 1123 patients with advanced HCC. The results indicated that the combined objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate (DCR) were 51.1 % and 86.8 %, respectively. Regarding survival indicators, the combined overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were 24.26 months and 11.84 months, respectively. Among the adverse events observed, the highest incidence rates for TACE combined with camrelizumab were fever (all grade: 46.5 %, ≥grade III: 5.0 %), hypertension (all grade: 32.2 %, ≥grade III: 8.5 %), transaminase elevation (all grade: 34.7 %, ≥grade III: 13.4 %), and nausea and vomiting (all grade: 43.9 %, ≥grade III: 2.5 %). Conclusions: This study demonstrated the efficacy and safety of combining TACE with camrelizumab in treating patients with advanced HCC, providing valuable evidence for its prospective clinical application. However, due to the limited availability of clinical data, it is essential to design larger-scale and multi-center clinical randomized controlled trials in the future to validate and confirm these findings definitively.
Time-Shared Visual Awareness of Multiple Moving Objects.

Abstract:How does vision encompass multiple moving objects? Well-trained observers monitored ongoing patterns of randomly moving objects, trying to quickly detect a non-random target motion (pursuit of a visible 'prey') by any one of the objects. Three experiments evaluated effects of the set size of observed objects (n = 1 - 12) on the temporal process of motion detection. Strikingly lawful effects on motion detection were observed: (1) Detection rates slowed in direct proportion to set size. (2) Two simultaneous visual processes governed motion detection - spatiotemporal motion integration (independent of conscious awareness), and constant-rate transfer into conscious awareness. The rates of both reflected time-shared parallel processes divided among the set of moving objects. Conventional RT analyses inadequately described the temporal process. Conditional detection rates for targets not yet detected - hazard rates (bits/sec), rates of change in RT - revealed simple lawful effects of set size on motion detection. For all observers, set sizes, motion speeds, and response times, detection rates had two phases: a first phase (~ 0.4 s) of motion integration in which detection rates increased linearly with time, followed by a second phase of constant-rate detection invariant with increasing time and motion. Detection rates decreased proportionally with set size in both phases. In Exp. 1, (n = 2, 4, 6, 8 objects), this two-phase process (3 parameters) described 98% of the variance of detection rates associated with set size and response time (Fig. 1). Exp. 2 (n = 1, 4, 12) found that greater motion speed yielded faster detections, but detection rate in spacetime was invariant with motion speed. Exp. 3 (n = 1, 2, 4, 8) found that early motion integration was hindered without a visible 'prey' object, but later awareness of the motion was unaffected. Meeting abstract presented at VSS 2015.

Abstract:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with immune and targeted therapy in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Prospective analysis of 23 patients with intermediate or advanced primary HCC treated at the Department of Hepatic Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China from July 2019, including 11 cases treated with TACE alone and 12 cases treated with TACE combined with targeted therapy. The basal indexes of patients in the two groups were compared, and the response during treatment was observed; regular follow-up was performed to assess the efficacy of tumor treatment. Compared with TACE treatment alone, the objective response rate (ORR) was significantly higher in the TACE combined with targeted treatment group (50.0% vs 36.4%), with a higher success rate of surgical conversion (33.3% vs 18.2%) and a significantly longer progression-free survival (PFS) (20.5 ± 2.9 months vs 11.6 ± 2.9 months). Multifactorial regression analysis identified tumor vascular invasion as an independent prognostic factor affecting HCC. No patient experienced catheter retention-related complications during treatment, and there were no intolerable adverse effects. TACE combined with targeted treatment for intermediate to advanced unresectable HCC was effective, with good tumor responsiveness, high surgical conversion rate, and safe and controllable adverse reactions during treatment.

Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with targeted therapy for primary hepatocellular carcinoma (PHC). Methods: This was a retrospective study. Retrospective selection of 150 PHC patients admitted to the Renmin Hospital, Hubei University of Medicine January 2019 and June 2021 were included. The patients were divided into the control group and the experimental group according to their treatment regimens. The control group received TACE treatment, while the experimental group received TACE combined with targeted therapy. We analyze the relevant data of two groups of patients and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of TACE combined with targeted therapy. Results: The tumor remission rate and control rate in the control group were 41.89% and 75.68%, respectively, while those in the experimental group were 77.63% and 90.79%, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05). The 1-year and 3-year recurrence rates in the control group were 52.71% and 98.65%, respectively, while those in the experimental group were 39.47% and 61.84%, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05). After treatment, the AFP, VEGF, ALT, and AST in the experimental group were significantly reduced compared to the control group (p<0.05). During the treatment period, the incidence and severity of nausea, vomiting, and fever in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of TACE combined with targeted therapy for PHC is superior to that of TACE alone, with improved disease control rate, improved long-term survival rate, and good safety.

Abstract:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a worldwide health threat with increasing incidence and a high mortality rate. Most HCC patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage and are unable to undergo potential curative surgery. Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and transcatheter arterial chemotherapy infusion (TACI) are two of the main palliative treatments for advanced HCC patients. The clinical efficacy and safety of TACE and TACI arc controversial. For this reason, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to summarize the current evidence. We searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies that compared the clinical outcomes and adverse effects in HCC patients who received TACE or TACI treatments. The database search was performed and last updated on November 1, 2016. Overall survival and clinical response were compared using a hazard ratio (HR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI). A total of 11 clinical studies that included 13.090 patients were included based on the inclusion/exclusion criteria, of which 9 were cohort studies and 2 were RCTs. TACE was associated with a 23% lower hazard of death compared to TACI (pooled HR = 0.77, 95% CI = 0.67-0.88, p = 0.0002). Patients receiving TACE had a 28% higher disease control rate (DCR) and 162% higher objective response rate (ORR). Only the increase in ORR associated with TACE was statistically significant [DCR: odds ratio (OR) = 1.28, 95% CI = 0.35-4.64, p = 0.71; ORR: OR = 2.62, 95% CI = 1.33-5.15, p = 0.002]. TACE is associated with more favorable survival and response rate than TACI in patients with intermediate or advanced HCC.

Abstract:Background: The triple combination of programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitors plus anti-angiogenesis tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) with or without transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) or hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) enhance the effect of treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). The present study compared the efficacy and safety of PD-1 plus TKI with or without transarterial chemo(embolization) for uHCC. Methods: The meta-analysis was conducted using data acquired from PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Ovid, Web of Science, and Clinical Trials.gov from the inception date to December 2023. All clinical outcomes of interest included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), and adverse events (AEs). The hazard ratio (HR) and risk ratio (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to measure the pooled effect. In addition, subgroup analysis was conducted to determine the specific patient population that benefited. Results: The OS (HR = 0.47; 95% CI: 0.39-0.56, P < 0.05), PFS (HR = 0.52; 95% CI: 0.45-0.60, P < 0.05), and ORR (RR = 1.94; 95% CI: 1.60-2.35, P < 0.05) were significantly better in TACE/HAIC+TKI+PD-1(TACE/HAIC TP) group than TKI+PD-1(TP) group. The incidence of AEs was acceptable. Conclusion: The triple therapy of TACE/HAIC TP had better efficacy for uHCC than TP, with acceptable security. Abstract:AIM:To investigate the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with radiotherapy for unresectable large hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:From June 1994 to June 1999, a total of 76 patients with large unresectable HCC were treated with TACE followed by external-beam irradiation. 89 patients with large HCC, who underwent TACE alone during the same period, served as the control group. Clinical features, therapeutic modalities, acute effects and survival rates were analyzed and compared between TACE plus irradiation group and TACE alone group. A multivariate analysis of nine clinical variables and one treatment variable (irradiation) was performed by the Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS:The clinical features and therapeutic modalities except irradiation between the two groups were comparable (P>0.05). The objective response rate (RR) in TACE plus irradiation group was higher than that in TACE alone group (47.4 % vs 28.1 %, P<0.05). The overall survival rates in TACE plus irradiation group (64.0 %, 28.6 %, and 19.3 % at 1, 3, 5 years, respectively) were significantly higher than those in TACE alone group (39.9 %, 9.5 %, and 7.2 %, respectively, P=0.0001). Cox proportional hazards model analysis showed that tumor extension and Child grade were significant and were independent negative predictors of survival, while irradiation was an independent positive predictor of survival.CONCLUSION:TACE combined with radiotherapy is more effective than TACE alone, and is a promising treatment for unresectable large HCC.

Abstract:Activation of host phosphotyrosine phosphatase SHP‐1 by Leishmania and its subsequent impact on tyrosine phosphorylation‐based signaling cascades were shown to represent an important mechanism whereby this pathogen may alter host cell functions. Herein, we report that Leishmania‐induced macrophage SHP‐1 activity is necessary for its survival within phagocytes through the attenuation of nitric oxide‐dependent and ‐independent microbicidal mechanisms. In vivo, Leishmania major infection, which footpad inflammation is mostly undetectable in SHP‐1‐deficient viable motheaten mice, was accompanied by increased inducible nitric oxide synthase and activation of neutrophils. These enhanced cellular activities were paralleled by a marked activation of signaling events usually negatively regulated by SHP‐1. Overall, this study firmly establishes that modulation of the signaling terminator SHP‐1 by Leishmania is essential for its installment and propagation.

Abstract:(249/250 words) Background: The efficacy and safety of combined immunotherapy and transarterial radioembolization (TARE) were suggested in pre-clinical and early-phase trials, but these were limited by small sample sizes. We sought to compare the efficacy of combined therapy and immunotherapy alone in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: The National Cancer Database was used to identify patients with advanced HCC diagnosed between 1/1/2017 and 12/31/2019. We included patients who received combined therapy or immunotherapy alone as first-line treatment. Multivariable logistic regression was conducted to determine predictors of combined therapy. Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression approaches were used to identify predictors of overall survival and to compare hazards of mortality between the patients who received combined therapy and immunotherapy alone. Results: Of 1,664 eligible patients with advanced-stage HCC, 142 received combined TARE/immunotherapy and 1522 received immunotherapy alone. Receipt of combination therapy was associated with care at an academic center and inversely associated with racial/ethnic minority status (Hispanics and Blacks). Median overall survival was significantly higher in the combination group than in the immunotherapy alone group (19.8 vs. 9.5 months). In multivariable analysis, combined therapy was independently associated with reduced mortality (adjusted HR 0.50, 95%CI: 0.36-0.68, p<0.001). Results were consistent across subgroups and in sensitivity analyses using propensity score matching and inverse probability of treatment weighting. Conclusion: The combination of TARE and immunotherapy was associated with improved survival compared to immunotherapy alone in patients with advanced stage HCC. Our findings underly the importance of large clinical trials evaluating combination therapy in these patients.

Abstract:BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ranks sixth globally in cancer incidence and third in mortality rates. Unfortunately, over 70% of HCC patients forego the opportunity for curative surgery or liver transplantation due to inadequate physical examinations, poor physical condition, and limited organ availability upon diagnosis. Clinical guidelines endorse transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) as the frontline treatment for intermediate to advanced-stage HCC. Cryoablation (CRA) is an emerging local ablative therapy increasingly used in HCC management. Recent studies suggest that combining CRA with TACE offers complementary and synergistic effects, potentially improving long-term survival rates. However, the superiority of combined TACE + CRA therapy over TACE alone for HCC lesions equal to or exceeding 5 cm requires further investigation. AIM To compare the efficacy and safety of TACE combined with CRA vs TACE alone in the treatment of HCC with a diameter of ≥ 5 cm. METHODS PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases were searched to retrieve all relevant studies on TACE and CRA up to July 2022. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS After screening according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 articles were included, including 2 randomized controlled trials and 4 nonrandomized controlled trials, with a total of 575 patients included in the meta-analysis. The results showed that the objective response rate [odds ratio (OR) = 2.56, 95% confidence interval (CI):1.66-3.96, P < 0.0001), disease control rate (OR = 3.03, 95%CI: 1.88-4.89, P < 0.00001), 1-year survival rate (OR = 3.79, 95%CI: 2.50-5.76, P < 0.00001), 2-year survival rate (OR = 2.34, 95%CI: 1.43-3.85, P = 0.0008), and 3-year survival rate (OR = 3.34, 95%CI: 1.61-6.94, P = 0.001) were all superior to those of the control group; the postoperative decrease in alpha-fetoprotein value (OR = 295.53, 95%CI: 250.22-340.85, P < 0.0001), the postoperative increase in CD4 value (OR = 10.59, 95%CI: 8.78-12.40, P < 0.00001), and the postoperative decrease in CD8 value (OR = 6.47, 95%CI: 4.44-8.50, P < 0.00001) were also significantly higher than those in the TACE-alone treatment group. CONCLUSION Compared with TACE-alone treatment, TACE + CRA combined treatment not only improves the immune function of HCC patients with a diameter of ≥ 5 cm, but also enhances the therapeutic efficacy and long-term survival rate, without increasing the risk of complications. Therefore, TACE + CRA combined treatment may be a more recommended treatment for patients with HCC with a diameter of ≥ 5 cm.

Abstract:Background: Locoregional treatment combined with systemic therapy is expected to play a synergistic anticancer role. We conducted this systemic meta-analysis to examine the efficacy and safety of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) plus lenvatinib with or without programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitors (TLP group) compared with TACE + lenvatinib (TL group) for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). Methods: From the inception date to April 2024, the data from PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Ovid, Web of Science, and Clinical Trials. gov were used for meta-analysis. All clinical outcomes of interest included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and adverse events (AEs). The hazard ratio (HR) and risk ratio (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to measure the pooled effect. Results: This study included 10 retrospective cohort studies, including 1128 patients. The OS (HR=0.51; 95% CI: 0.43-0.60, P < 0.05), PFS (HR=0.52; 95% CI: 0.45-0.61, P < 0.05), ORR (RR = 1.58; 95% CI: 1.37-1.83; P < 0.05) and DCR (RR = 1.31; 95% CI: 1.20-1.43; P < 0.05) were significantly higher in TLP group than in the TL group. The incidence of AEs was acceptable. Prognostic factor analysis identified that ECOG PS (1/0), Child-Pugh class (B/A), BCLC stage (C/B) and main portal vein invasion (yes/no) were independent prognostic factors for OS. The Long-Term Efficacy of Combined Chemoembolization and Local Irradiation in the Treatment of Patients with Large Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

Abstract:Background/Aims: To investigate the effects and toxicity of combined transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and local radiotherapy for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.Methodology: From June 1994 to June 1999, 28 patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (the largest dimension of tumor ranged from 3 to 10cm) were treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization followed by local irradiation. Response was assessed by computed tomography scan and ultrasound, together with serum a-fetoprotein level in cases with increased baseline values. Complications associated with treatment were monitored. Cumulative survival was determined by Kaplan-Meier method from the first day of treatment.Results: An objective response (reduction of tumor area greater than 50%) was achieved in 57.0% of the, cases. In 63.0% of the cases with increased a-fetoprotein values, a-fetoprotein level underwent a marked reduction (more than 50%). The cumulative survival rates at 1, 3, and 5 years were 81.9%, 42.4%, and 21.2%, respectively (median survival, 31 months, 95%CI: 27.8-34.2 months). The combination therapy was generally well tolerated.Conclusions: The results suggest that combined transcatheter arterial chemoembolization with local radiotherapy is an effective and safe treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Further study is required to compare the therapeutic efficacy of this regimen to transcatheter arterial chemoembolization or radiotherapy alone.

Abstract:Background Locoregional therapy combined with systemic therapy can further improve the prognoses for HCC. However, the efficacy of TACE combined with ICIs and TKIs for HCC and whether this triple therapy can activate systemic immune response are still unknown. Purpose To identify the efficacy of TACE+ICIs+TKIs for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) and its effect on systemic immunity. Materials and Methods This single-center retrospective study was approved by the Institutional Review Board. From August 1, 2019, to March 30, 2021, patients with uHCC who received the combination therapy of TACE+ICIs+TKIs were included. Peripheral blood samples were collected at baseline and once a month for 4 months after treatment. Lymphocyte subsets were measured by flow cytometry. Immunoglobulins were measured using the immune turbidimetric method. The dynamic change trend of circulating parameters was tested using simple linear regression. Results Fifty-three patients with a mean age of 59 ± 10.6 years were included. TTP was 8.0 months (95% CI, 5.5–10.5) and PFS was 8.5 months (95% CI, 5.4–11.5). ORR was 52.8% and DCR was 81.1%. Twenty patients had completed analysis of biomarkers in peripheral blood. For cellular immune response, the level of circulating CD8 + , CD3 + T cells and NK cells increased, the frequency of CD4 + T cells and the CD4 + /CD8 + ratio decreased, and among them, CD8 + T cells increased significantly. For humoral immune response, there was a significant decrease in B cells and a significant increase in Ig G, Ig κ, and Ig λ. Moreover, Ig G, Ig κ, and Ig λ were related to tumor response. Conclusion TACE+ICIs+TKIs showed considerable efficacy in patients with uHCC. This triple therapy activated not only cell immune but also humoral immune activation. Circulating Ig G, Ig λ, and Ig κ can serve as potential biomarkers.
