Abstract:BACKGROUND:Hard palate mucosa serves as a main donor material in periodontal plastic surgery and its thickness is crucial for the surgical outcomes. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the thickness of hard palate mucosa in Han population, and analyze the consistency between cone-beam CT image analysis and trans-gingival probing method. METHODS: A total of 30 Han volunteers (300 teeth) were recruited, and the thickness of hard palate mucosa was measured using cone-beam CT image analysis or trans-gingival probing method, to analyze their consistency. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The two methods showed a higher consistency in the thickness of hard palate mucosa at the cuspid, first and second premolars as well as first and second molars. The thickness of the hard palate mucosa related to the distance from the gingival margin and tooth position, the thickness from the canine region to the second premolar region thickening gradually, and became the thickest at the second molar, and the thinnest at the cuspid. This study for the first time analyzed the thickness of hard palate mucosa in Chinese Han population, and confirmed there is a high consistency between cone-beam CT image analysis and trans-gingival probing method.

Abstract:ObjectivesThe present study was performed to determine the gingival dimensions (width and thickness) among young individuals in a central Indian population.Materials and methodsPeriodontal probing depth, width of the keratinized and attached gingiva, and gingival thickness were recorded on maxillary and mandibular teeth from central incisor to first molar unilaterally in 75 systemically healthy individuals (32 males and 43 females; 19–30 years of age). Comparisons were made gender-wise, arch-wise, tooth-wise, and site-wise using either the Student’s t test or the ANOVA.ResultsKeratinized and attached gingiva were wider in the maxilla than in the mandible both at proximal and at mid-buccal aspects (p < 0.001). At the tooth level also, gingiva was wider at the maxillary teeth than the corresponding mandibular teeth and at proximal aspects than at the mid-buccal aspect (p < 0.001). Regarding the thickness, gingiva was thicker among males, in the mandible, and at inter-proximal sites (p < 0.001). In either arch, maximum thickness was observed at the incisor region and least at the canine region.ConclusionsDimensions of the gingival tissues vary between different populations and between different areas of the dentition within the same subject. These variations need to be better understood because these aspects may have an important bearing on periodontal treatment planning as width and thickness of gingiva are important in terms of maintenance of periodontal health.Clinical relevanceThe dimensions of the clinically healthy gingiva are important in clinical practice as they can influence the progression of periodontal disease as well as impact the outcome of periodontal and restorative and orthodontic therapy.

Evaluation of marginal alveolar bone height for early detection of periodontal disease in pediatric population: clinical and radiographic study

Abstract:Objectives: To establish a normal range for the radiographic distance between cementoenamel junction and alveolar bone crest and the factors affecting distances for the early assessment of periodontal disease in Dravidian pediatric population. Methods: Fifty children aged 6 to 8 years were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Clinical and radiographic examination was performed. All the surfaces were examined starting from the distal surface of primary canine to the mesial surface of first permanent molar. The various risk factors like plaque, calculus, proximal caries, restoration and bleeding on probing were recorded. A pair of bitewing radiographs was taken for each child. Bitewing radiographs were traced and analyzed. Results: It showed that CEJ-ABC distance in primary teeth is about 1 ± 0.5 mm. In the permanent teeth, it was found to be 0.6 ± 0.5 mm in 6 to 8 years age group. CEJ-ABC distance was also affected by different variables like physiologic (eruption and exfoliation) and pathologic factors (plaque, calculus, dental caries, restorations, stainless steel crowns, bleeding on probing and probing depth). Conclusion: CEJ-ABC distances greater than 2.5 mm should be considered under recall and follow-up. Children and adolescents susceptible to periodontal disease should be identified by radiographic means as early as possible in order to prevent the advance of an otherwise possibly destructive disease. The concept of oral health examination and treatment must include examination of the periodontal status of the patient.
Gender determination using mandibular intercanine distance and mesiodistal width of right mandibular molar

Abstract:Background: Forensic odontology plays an important role in mass disasters, house fires, criminal deaths, identification of missing persons, and child abuse cases. Teeth are the most stable part of the human body and are resistant to thermal, mechanical, and chemical insults. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of mandibular intercanine distance and mesiodistal width of mandibular first molar in gender determination. Materials and methods: The study comprised 100 participants (50 males and 50 females) in the age group of 18-23 years. The mandibular impressions were made, and casts were prepared using dental stone. The intercanine distance and mesiodistal width of the right mandibular first molar were measured using digital vernier callipers. The data obtained was statistically analysed using SPSS software version 23. Results: The mean mandibular intercanine distance was found to be 27.2 ± 2.3 in males and 25.94 ± 1.76 in females (P = 0.03). There was no statistical difference in the mesiodistal width of the mandibular molar between males and females (P = 0.166). However, the mean mesiodistal width of males was higher when compared to females. Conclusion: Males have a greater intercanine width and mesiodistal dimension when compared to females. This result will be helpful in forensic medicine, anthropology, orthodontic treatments, and clinical dentistry.
Three-dimensional Morphology Analysis of the Supraosseous Gingival Profile of Perio-Dontally Healthy Maxillary Anterior Teeth

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To measure the three-dimensional morphology of the labial supraosseous gingiva (SOG) and the thickness of related labial bone in maxillary anterior teeth of periodontally healthy Han nationality youth using soft tissue indirect imaging cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). METHODS:Twenty-five periodontally healthy subjects (11 males and 14 females) with 150 maxillary anterior teeth were involved in this study. A special impression with radiopaque material including the maxillary teeth was made, then a CBCT scan with the elastomeric matrix in position was taken for each subject. The imaging data were generated and transferred to a volumetric imaging software in which three-dimensional reconstruction was conducted and the image analyses were carried out. Measurements were made at the site of labial center of the maxillary anterior teeth. The height of the SOG, the distance between cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) and bone crest, the gingival thickness at the CEJ, and the thickness of bone 2 mm below the labial bone crest were measured and the correlation analysis between the parameters was made. All the data analyses were performed using SPSS 22.0. The data were analyzed with ANVOA and Pearson correlation tests with the significance level at α=0.05. RESULTS:The mean SOG values were (3.49±0.70) mm, (3.48±0.81) mm, and (3.54±0.67) mm for central incisors, lateral incisors and canines, respectively. There were no statistically significant differences among the different sites (P > 0.05). The mean gingival thickness values were (1.45±0.23) mm, (1.13±0.24) mm, (1.14±0.22) mm for central incisors, lateral incisors and canines, respectively. The gingival thickness of the central incisors was the largest among the maxillary anterior teeth with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). No correlation was found between the SOG and gingival thickness among the maxillary anterior teeth (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION:The gingival thickness of central incisors was the largest and the supraosseous gingival height had no correlation with gingival thickness among the periodontally healthy maxillary anterior teeth.
Mandibular Intercanine Width at Three Stages of Mixed Dentition in Children at Namakkal District: A Cross-sectional Study

Abstract:Aim: To assess and compare the mandibular intercanine width (ICW) of children at three stages of mixed dentition in children at Namakkal district. Materials and methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted among 135 schoolchildren aged 7-11 years, with 45 children in each group. Group I included children with completely erupted permanent mandibular central incisors, group II included children with completely erupted permanent mandibular central and lateral incisors, and group III included children with completely erupted permanent mandibular central incisors, lateral incisors, and canines. Impressions were made in the mandibular anterior region, and study casts were prepared. Measurements of the mandibular ICW were taken using a digital vernier caliper. Results: The mean mandibular ICW after the complete eruption of permanent mandibular central incisors, lateral incisors, and canines was 23.7, 25.5, and 25.7 mm, respectively. There was a statistically significant difference in the ICW between the three groups (p < 0.001). Post hoc tests showed that mandibular ICW was statistically significant between groups I and II and group III (p < 0.001). Linear regression analysis showed that age does not contribute to the changes in mandibular ICW. Conclusion: The average mandibular ICW found can be a standard comparison for treatment planning in the western Tamil Nadu population. Mandibular ICW reaches its maximum after the eruption of permanent mandibular lateral incisors. Changes in mandibular ICW should be attributed to the eruption of permanent mandibular anterior teeth and not to the age of the child. Abstract:Purpose: To determine the three-dimensional (3D) tooth morphology of all primary molars and to identify and consolidate positional factors that could potentially have an effect on tooth preparation. Study design: Thirty-one non-carious primary molars were scanned using micro-CT and reconstructed using 3D analysis software. Each pulp horn to its respective cusp tip distance (PHCD) was measured as well as the distances from the pulp chamber to the mesial, distal, lingual and buccal surfaces. One-way ANOVA and post-hoc t-tests were used for data analysis. Results: The mesio-buccal and disto-buccal PHCD was significantly shorter than the mesio-lingual and disto-lingual PHCDs in maxillary second primary molars (P < 0.05). Mesial, distal and lingual walls were thinner than the buccal walls of mandibular molars while in maxillary molars; the mesial and distal walls were thinner than the palatal and buccal walls (P < 0.05). Conclusions: First primary molars have thinner tooth structure surrounding the pulp than second primary molars in the same arch with the exception of the buccal walls of all molars and lingual walls of maxillary molars. The mesial and distal walls are thinner than the buccal walls of all molars and lingual walls in maxillary molars.

Abstract:The width of attached gingiva varies from tooth to tooth and also among individuals with mixed opinions regarding an "adequate" or "sufficient" dimension of the gingiva. Although the need for a so‐called adequate amount of keratinized tissue for maintenance of periodontal health is questionable, the mucogingival junction serves as an important clinical landmark in periodontal evaluation. There are various methods of locating the mucogingival junction namely the functional method and the visual method with and without histochemical staining, which aid in the measurement of the width of attached gingiva. The objectives of the present study were to evaluate the width of attached gingiva as well as to determine the gingival sulcular depth in adult subjects from Eastern India. : Attached gingival width and sulcus depth were determined by a visual method, using a William's periodontal probe. There were 120 subjects (60 males) and 60 (females) who represented a healthy population of undergraduate students, interns and post graduate students of Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital and the patients reporting to OPD of the Institute. : Highest widths of attached gingiva in central incisors of maxillary (3.22±0.59) and mandibular arches (2.18±0.50) were found respectively. The present study found no significant differences in mean width of attached gingiva of maxillary and mandibular arches between male and female subjects. The mean gingival sulcus depth recorded in the present study was 1.04±0.13 mm. This was not significantly associated with age or gender. The mean value for the highest depth of gingival sulci for maxillary first molar was 1.07 ± 0.23 mm and lateral incisors of mandibular arches 1.05 ± 0.19 mm were found respectively. : This study has defined baseline values for the attached gingival width and sulcus depth among Eastern Indian population. This would help to determine deviation from the normal or this population and may help to identify individuals at risk for periodontal disease.
Measurement of Width on Labial Keratinized Gingiva of Anterior Dental Arch of 120 Chinese Han-nationality Youth

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To measure the width of keratinized gingiva and attached gingiva of anterior dental arch in order to establish reference guidance for periodontal surgery.METHODS:A total of 120 healthy Chinese Han-nationality volunteers aged 20 - 30 years with healthy gingival tissue were recruited. The width of anterior labial dental arch, keratinized gingiva of gingival zenith, depth of gingival sulcus, and the width of coronal-apical keratinized gingiva of interdental papilla were measured respectively and the data were statistically analyzed.RESULTS:The width of keratinized gingiva and attached gingiva at gingival zenith varied for each individual and tooth location, ranging up to (5.6 ± 1.3) mm in the anterior maxillary region and (4.5 ± 1.1) mm in the anterior submandibular region. The width decreased over the canine and first premolar and increased slightly over the second premolar. The width of keratinized gingiva at interdental papilla ranged from (6.2 ± 1.3) mm to (8.9 ± 1.4) mm in the maxilla and from (5.8 ± 1.0) mm to (7.6 ± 0.9) mm in the mandible. The narrowest width of keratinized gingiva at interdental papilla was located over central incisors.CONCLUSIONS:There is a variation of width on labial keratinized gingiva of anterior dental arch of Han nationality youth among different individuals and tooth locations.

Abstract:Introduction The purpose of this study was to compare and evaluate the association of gingival melanin pigmentation with age, sex, and skin tone in pre-school children of Hazaribag, Jharkhand, India. Materials and methods The study included 310 children aged 3 to 6 years, who were divided according to skin color into the following: group I: Fair, group II: wheatish, group III: brown; and group IV: dark. The children were selected using a census method where all participants fulfilling inclusion criteria were selected from the outpatient department of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Hazaribag. The subjects were further grouped into different age groups of 3-4 years, 4-5 years, 5-6 years, and 6 years. Subjects were examined in natural daylight, and gingival melanin pigmentation was assessed using the Dummett-Gupta Pigmentation Index. The scoring was done for each arch segment. These categorical data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results Gingival pigmentation was found to increase with increasing age, whereas female subjects showed less pigmentation than males. Majority of the children had wheatish complexion, and a significant positive correlation was found between skin tone and gingival pigmentation; the darker the skin tone, the darker was the gingival pigmentation. Anatomically, greater pigmentation was found in the anterior than posterior region of arches. Greater pigmentation was found in the labial than lingual region; greater pigmentation was also reported in the mandible than maxilla. Conclusion There was a positive correlation of gingival melanin pigmentation with age, sex, and skin tone in pre-school children. Clinical significance The association of gingival pigmentation with skin color had been documented, but very few studies have been published on adults and children on this subject. However, there is no study that evaluates the association of gingival melanin pigmentation with age, sex, and skin tone of children of pre-school age.
[Gingival Thickness Assessment of Gingival Recession Teeth].

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the gingival thickness and gingival biotype of gingival recession teeth of Chinese population.METHODS:A total of 112 non-molar teeth with gingival recession in 34 patients were included. Direct measurement, cone-beam computerized tomography (CBCT) measurement and periodontal probe method were used to evaluate gingival thickness and biotype. Gingival thickness was measured at 2 mm apical to the gingival margin. Direct measurement was performed with a caliper of 0.01 mm resolution and anesthesia needles attached to silicone disk stops. Gingival biotype was assessed by sulcus probing, if the periodontal probe was visible through the gingival tissue, the gingival biotype was thin; If not visible, the gingival biotype was thick. The differences of gingival thickness among different gingival biotype, tooth site and gingival recession type were analyzed respectively. Besides, the results of CBCT measurement was analyzed compared with the direct measurement.RESULTS:The average gingival thickness of non-molar recession teeth was (1.17±0.41) mm. The average gingival thickness of thick and thin biotype group were (1.38±0.4) mm and (0.97±0.30) mm, respectively, with statistically significant difference (P<0.001). The median of gingival thickness was 1.1 mm. Using 1.1 mm as the cut-off value of thick and thin gingival thickness group, the results matched well with the gingival biotype classification results by periodontal probe method (P=1.000). The average gingival thickness of maxillary teeth was significantly thicker than that of the mandibular teeth. They were (1.39±3.44) mm and (1.01±0.31) mm, respectively (P<0.001). The mean gingival thickness of MillerI, II and III degree gingival recession teeth were (1.15±0.34) mm, (0.83±0.17) mm and (1.26±0.56) mm, respectively, without statistically significant difference (P=0.205). The gingival thickness measurement results between CBCT method and direct measurement were without statistically significant difference (P=0.206).CONCLUSION:In the non-molar gingival recession teeth, the cut-off value of gingival thickness to classify thick and thin biotype of Chinese population was 1.1 mm. The average gingival thickness of the maxillary teeth was significantly thicker than that of the mandibular teeth. Besides, CBCT measurement was an accuracy method for evaluating facial gingival thickness.
A comparison of alveolar ridge mucosa thickness in completely edentulous patients.

Abstract:Purpose The purpose of this cross‐sectional clinical study was to determine and compare alveolar ridge mucosa thickness at crestal, buccal, and lingual locations of the maxillary and mandibular arches in completely edentulous patients using a dedicated, ultrasonic gingival scanner. Materials and Methods Thirty‐eight completely edentulous subjects were included in the study. In each subject, soft tissue thickness was measured at 28 sites of the edentulous ridge by a single calibrated examiner. Intra‐observer reliability was calculated with Intraclass Correlation Coefficients by measuring 10 subjects twice, after 1 week. Measurements (mm) were taken at the buccal, lingual, and crestal aspects of the ridge with a dedicated ultrasonic scanner. Repeated measures ANOVA and paired t‐tests were used to compare the mean buccal, lingual, and crestal soft tissue thicknesses at each site. The Generalized Estimating Equations model was used to study the effects of age, gender, and race. Confidence level was set to 95%. Results Mean tissue thickness ranged from 0.96 mm to 1.98 mm with a mean of 1.63 ± 0.25 mm. Intraclass Correlation Coefficients were >0.97. No significant differences between buccal, crestal, and lingual sites were noted for the mandibular arch as well as at 4 sites on the maxillary arch (maxillary right second molar, maxillary right canine, maxillary left first premolar, maxillary left second molar). However, significant differences in soft tissue thickness were noted for all remaining maxillary sites. Race was found to be positively correlated with tissue thickness, with black individuals showing a significantly greater thickness than whites at four sites (maxillary right first molar, maxillary left canine, mandibular right second premolar, mandibular right first molar). Age was found to be positively correlated with tissue thickness at 4 sites (maxillary left central incisor, maxillary left first molar, maxillary left second molar, mandibular left second premolar) and negatively correlated at 2 sites (mandibul0ar right canine, mandibular right second molar). Female gender was positively (maxillary left second premolar, maxillary left second molar) and negatively (mandibular right canine) correlated, respectively, with tissue thickness at 3 sites. When data for anterior and posterior sites was respectively pooled, tissue thickness was significantly less at anterior sextant lingual and crestal sites, while no difference was seen for buccal sites. Conclusion Statistically significant differences for alveolar ridge mucosa thickness were found at several sites in the maxilla and between anterior and posterior sextants for lingual and crestal sites in the maxillary and mandibular arches. Tissue thickness differences were also noted for race with black individuals showing greater tissue thickness at some sites. Age and gender did not show a clear effect on tissue thickness. A Preliminary Study of Buccal and Lingual Alveolar Bone Thickness of Posterior Teeth in Patients with Skeletal Class III Malocclusion and Mandibular Asymmetry

Abstract:Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the buccal and lingual alveolar bone thickness and buccolingual inclination of maxillary posterior teeth in patients with severe skeletal Class III malocclusion with and without mandibular asymmetry and compare with those in patients with skeletal Class I malocclusion. Methods: Cone-beam computed tomography images of 69 patients with severe skeletal Class III malocclusion and 30 patients with skeletal Class I malocclusion were collected and reconstructed with Dolphin 3D software. Based on the distance from menton to the sagittal plane (d), the patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion were divided into a symmetry group (d <= 2 mm) and an asymmetry group (d >= 4 mm). Buccal and lingual alveolar bone thickness and buccolingual inclination of maxillary posterior teeth were measured and compared. Correlations among dental measurements, severity of sagittal discrepancy, and mandibular deviation were analyzed. Results: Maxillary posterior teeth on the deviated side in Class III asymmetry group and symmetry group were buccally inclined compared with the Class I group (P < 0.001). A significant negative correlation was noted between buccolingual inclination of maxillary posterior teeth and ANB value with Spearman correlation coefficient of maxillary first molar, second premolar, and first premolar of -0.687, -0.485 and -0.506, respectively (P < 0.001). Maxillary first molar showed thinner buccal alveolar bone on deviated side in asymmetry group and symmetry group of Class III, compared with the Class I group, with average values of 1.21 mm, 1.19 mm, and 1.83 mm, respectively (P < 0.05). The maxillary first premolar also showed thinner buccal alveolar bone on deviated side in Class III asymmetry group compared with the Class I group, with average values of 0.87 mm and 1.28 mm, respectively (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Decompensation of buccally inclined posterior teeth in patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion should be more cautious owing to thinner buccal alveolar bone to avoid a high risk of fenestration and dehiscence.
[Preliminary Study on Gingival Biotype by Periodontal Probing].

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To establish a convenient, objective and applicable method to assess gingival biotype using periodontal probing.METHODS:A total of 66 maxillary anterior teeth from 14 volunteers (6 males, 8 females) with healthy gingiva, aged from 20 to 30 years, were recruited in this study. The gingival biotypes were evaluated by whether or not the outline of the periodontal probe was clear inside the gingiva. Gingival thickness of the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) in upper anterior teeth was measured by cone-beam CT (CBCT).RESULTS:The method of periodontal probing-assessed gingival biotype had good consistency and repeatability. The result of probing-assessed gingival biotype was consistent with that obtained by CBCT. The mean thickness of gingiva in thin, compromised and thick gingival biotype was (1.02 ± 0.20), (1.28 ± 0.25) and (1.46 ± 0.25) mm. These differences were significant for all three comparisons (P = 0.001, respectively).CONCLUSIONS:Periodontal probing-assessed gingival biotype is a simple, relatively objective and suitable method for clinical examination.
Histological and immunohistochemical characteristic of the gingival stroma in the portion of the third molars in children of various age

Abstract:Objective: Aim: To evaluate the state of the gingival stromal elements in the portion of the third molars requiring extraction of these teeth due to orthodontic indications considering the stage of tooth germ formation. Patients and methods: Materials and Methods: The surgery to extract third molars due to orthodontic indications was performed on 95 children aged 11 to 18 years. The three groups of observation were isolated according to clinical-radiological signs: І (n=30) - children aged 11-13 years; ІІ (n=35) - children aged 13-16 years, and ІІІ (n=30) - children aged 16-18 years. During surgery, the samples of gums were taken from the adjacent areas for examination. The samples were fixed, dehydrated, paraffinized for further histological processing. Immunohistochemical methods were used according to the protocols supplied by a producer. In particular, by means of immunohistochemical method, Ki-67, CD-34 antigens and vimentin with primary antibodies against them were determined. The primary antibodies were visualized by the polymeric visualization system with diaminobenzidine giving a brown color to the places of location of the antigens examined. The data obtained were statistically processed. Results: Results: The results of the study showed that specific gravity of the vascular bed in the gingival papillary layer of children was the most variable. It ranges from (12,7±0,09) % at the stage of "D" root formation to (54,8±0,17) % at the "H" stage. Lower concentrations of CD-34 antigens and vimentin are found in the endotheliocytes of children aged 13-16 and 16-18 years, compared to the children aged 11-13 years (p<0,05). No changes were found in the specific volume of the blood vessels, CD-34 antigens and vimentin in the reticular gingival layer of children from the groups of observation. Conclusion: Conclusions: Therefore, the conducted histological and immunohistochemical study of the connective gingival tissues in the portion of the third molars in children enables to draw a conclusion that in the process of formation of the root of this tooth a number of changes occur in the gingival stroma. They include an increase of the blood flow volume in the papillary gingival layer on the background of a decreased concentration of CD-34 genes and vimentin, a longer stage of development of the third molar root. The specific volume of the islets of neoangiogenesis of the papillary gingival layer is the largest in children aged 13-16 years.
Discrepancy of Clinical Parameters Between the First and Second Molars Can Help to Differentiate Subjects with Aggressive Periodontitis from Chronic Periodontitis: a Cross-sectional Study Based on a Large Chinese Population.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To explore associations between mean discrepancy values for the first and second molars (MDVFSs) and generalised aggressive periodontitis (GAgP) using hospital-based periodontal examination records from a large Chinese population.METHODS:Data from consecutive patients diagnosed as having chronic periodontitis (CP, n = 51,849) and GAgP (n = 2,706) were included. Patient ages, gender, smoking status, mean full-mouth probing depth (PD), and mean full-mouth attachment loss (AL), as well as MDVFSs for PD and AL, were extracted. Multivariate linear regression was used to test associations between MDVFSs and GAgP.RESULTS:After multivariate risk adjustment for potential confounding factors (age, smoking status, and mean PD and AL), the MDVFSs for PD (OR = 2.20, 95%CI: 2.04 to 2.38, P < 0.001) and AL (OR = 1.51, 95CI%: 1.44 to 1.59, P < 0.001) were significantly associated with GAgP. The probability of GAgP was associated with MDVFS for PD falling between 0 mm and 2.5 mm (OR = 4.55, 95%CI: 4.01 to 5.17) and MDVFS for AL falling between 0 mm and 3.5 mm (OR = 2.01, 95%CI: 1.86 to 2.16, P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:This study revealed associations between MDVFSs and GAgP, demonstrating that MDVFSs can serve as promising auxiliary references for the differential diagnosis between CP and GAgP.
