Abstract:Minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of colon and rectal cancer has gained popularity due to its association with reduced postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery. The Da Vinci Single-Port (SP) System combines single-port laparoscopy with robotic assistance. This scoping review aims to evaluate the safety and short-term postoperative outcomes of utilizing the Da Vinci SP platform in colorectal cancer surgery. A scoping review was conducted adhering to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Data were collected from PubMed, Embase, and the Web of Science Library as of December 22, 2023. Studies were screened and selected based on predefined criteria, focusing on the application of the SP robotic system in colorectal procedures. Data extraction included demographics, surgical details, intraoperative and postoperative outcomes. A narrative summary of the results was provided due to the heterogeneity in study designs. From an initial 2312 articles, 22 studies were selected for analysis, encompassing 465 patients undergoing robotic SP colorectal surgeries. Of these, 384 (82.6%) had a cancer diagnosis. The median age was 65 years, with approximately 60% being male. The median operative time was 225 min, with docking times averaging 12–20 min. Conversion to multi-port laparoscopy occurred in 4.2% of cases, with no conversions to open surgery. Mean intraoperative blood loss ranged from 50 to 150 ml. The mean number of lymph nodes retrieved ranged from 15 to 28. A diverting ileostomy was constructed in 20.3% of patients. Median times to flatus and soft diet were 2.5 and 3 days, respectively, with hospital stays ranging from 3 to 11 days. Perioperative complications occurred in 15.1% of patients, including wound infections (5.1%), anastomotic leakage (3.7%), and postoperative ileus (2.8%). Negative margin status (R0 resection) was achieved in 95% of cases. The Da Vinci SP robotic platform demonstrates promising safety and effectiveness in colorectal cancer surgery. It achieves high rates of successful oncological resection, adequate lymph node retrieval, and minimal intraoperative blood loss. Postoperative outcomes indicate quicker recovery times and manageable complication rates. However, longer follow-up studies are necessary to fully assess recurrence rates and long-term survival benefits associated with this innovative surgical approach.

Abstract:From the first Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) in 1994 to the first Da Vinci robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy(RPD) in 2003, minimally invasive pancreaticoduodenectomy has achieved a breakthrough after 20-year exploration and development.It is a well-established procedure for periampullary carcinomas in some specialized centers now.Some outstanding reports including large clinical trials more than 100 cases of L/RPD in a single center and review analysis about the short and long outcomes between L/RPD and open PD for large cases have been published.For the sake of increasing popularity and acceptance of L/RPD, it is very important for researchers to update the current status of L/RPD and summarize experience and development.
Future of robotic surgery in urology

Abstract:Objectives: To provide a comprehensive overview of the current status of the field of robotic systems for urological surgery and discuss future perspectives. Materials and methods: A non-systematic literature review was performed using PubMed/Medline search electronic engines. Existing patents for robotic devices were researched using the Google search engine. Findings were also critically analysed taking into account the personal experience of the authors. Results: The relevant patents for the first generation of the da Vinci platform will expire in 2019. New robotic systems are coming onto the stage. These can be classified according to type of console, arrangement of robotic arms, handles and instruments, and other specific features (haptic feedback, eye-tracking). The Telelap ALF-X robot uses an open console with eye-tracking, laparoscopy-like handles with haptic feedback, and arms mounted on separate carts; first clinical trials with this system were reported in 2016. The Medtronic robot provides an open console using three-dimensional high-definition video technology and three arms. The Avatera robot features a closed console with microscope-like oculars, four arms arranged on one cart, and 5-mm instruments with six degrees of freedom. The REVO-I consists of an open console and a four-arm arrangement on one cart; the first experiments with this system were published in 2016. Medicaroid uses a semi-open console and three robot arms attached to the operating table. Clinical trials of the SP 1098-platform using the da Vinci Xi for console-based single-port surgery were reported in 2015. The SPORT robot has been tested in animal experiments for single-port surgery. The SurgiBot represents a bedside solution for single-port surgery providing flexible tube-guided instruments. The Avicenna Roboflex has been developed for robotic flexible ureteroscopy, with promising early clinical results. Conclusions: Several console-based robots for laparoscopic multi- and single-port surgery are expected to come to market within the next 5 years. Future developments in the field of robotic surgery are likely to focus on the specific features of robotic arms, instruments, console, and video technology. The high technical standards of four da Vinci generations have set a high bar for upcoming devices. Ultimately, the implementation of these upcoming systems will depend on their clinical applicability and costs. How these technical developments will facilitate surgery and whether their use will translate into better outcomes for our patients remains to be determined.

Abstract:Background. The da Vinci Xi has been developed to overcome some of the limitations of the previous platform, thereby increasing the acceptance of its use in robotic multiorgan surgery. Methods. Between January 2015 and October 2015, 10 patients with synchronous tumors of the colorectum and others abdominal organs underwent robotic combined resections with the da Vinci Xi. Trocar positions respected the Universal Port Placement Guidelines provided by Intuitive Surgical for “left lower quadrant,” with trocars centered on the umbilical area, or shifted 2 to 3 cm to the right or to the left, depending on the type of combined surgical procedure. Results. All procedures were completed with the full robotic technique. Simultaneous procedures in same quadrant or left quadrant and pelvis, or left/right and upper, were performed with a single docking/single targeting approach; in cases of left/right quadrant or right quadrant/pelvis, we performed a dual-targeting operation. No external collisions or problems related to trocar positions were noted. No patient experienced postoperative surgical complications and the mean hospital stay was 6 days. Conclusions. The high success rate of full robotic colorectal resection combined with other surgical interventions for synchronous tumors, suggest the efficacy of the da Vinci Xi in this setting.

Abstract:Background: Liver resection is a critical surgical procedure for treating various hepatic pathologies. Minimally invasive approaches have gradually gained importance, and, in recent years, the introduction of robotic surgery has transformed the surgical landscape, providing potential advantages such as enhanced precision and stable ergonomic vision. Among robotic techniques, the single-site approach has garnered increasing attention due to its potential to minimize surgical trauma and improve cosmetic outcomes. However, the full extent of its utility and efficacy in liver resection has yet to be thoroughly explored. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive systematic review to evaluate the current role of the single-site robotic approach in liver resection. A detailed search of PubMed was performed to identify relevant studies published up to January 2024. Eligible studies were critically appraised, and data concerning surgical outcomes, perioperative parameters, and post-operative complications were extracted and analyzed. Results: Our review synthesizes evidence from six studies, encompassing a total of seven cases undergoing robotic single-site hepatic resection (SSHR) using various versions of the da Vinci© system. Specifically, the procedures included five left lateral segmentectomy, one right hepatectomy, and one caudate lobe resection. We provide a summary of the surgical techniques, indications, selection criteria, and outcomes associated with this approach. Conclusion: The single-site robotic approach represents an option among the minimally invasive approaches in liver surgery. However, although the feasibility has been demonstrated, further studies are needed to elucidate its optimal utilization, long-term outcomes, and comparative effectiveness against the other techniques. This systematic review provides valuable insights into the current state of single-site robotic liver resection and underscores the need for continued research in this rapidly evolving field.

Abstract:Although robot-assisted surgical procedures using the da Vinci robotic system (Intuitive Surgical, Sunnyvale, CA) have been performed in more than 13 million procedures worldwide over the last two decades, the vascular surgical community has yet to fully embrace this approach (Intuitive Surgical Investor Presentation Q3 (2023) https://investor.intuitivesurgical.com/static-files/dd0f7e46-db67-4f10-90d9-d826df00554e . Accessed February 22, 2024). In the meantime, endovascular procedures revolutionized vascular care, serving as a minimally invasive alternative to traditional open surgery. In the pursuit of a percutaneous approach, shorter postoperative hospital stay, and fewer perioperative complications, the long-term durability of open surgical vascular reconstruction has been compromised (in Lancet 365:2179-2186, 2005; Patel in Lancet 388:2366-2374, 2016; Wanhainen in Eur J Vasc Endovasc Surg 57:8-93, 2019). The underlying question is whether the robotic-assisted laparoscopic vascular surgical approaches could deliver the robustness and longevity of open vascular surgical reconstruction, but with a minimally invasive delivery system. In the meantime, other surgical specialties have embraced robot-assisted laparoscopic technology and mastered the essential vascular skillsets along with minimally invasive robotic surgery. For example, surgical procedures such as renal transplantation, lung transplantation, and portal vein reconstruction are routinely being performed with robotic assistance that includes major vascular anastomoses (Emerson in J Heart Lung Transplant 43:158-161, 2024; Fei in J Vasc Surg Cases Innov Tech 9, 2023; Tzvetanov in Transplantation 106:479-488, 2022; Slagter in Int J Surg 99, 2022). Handling and dissection of major vascular structures come with the inherent risk of vascular injury, perhaps the most feared complication during such robotic procedures, possibly requiring emergent vascular surgical consultation. In this review article, we describe the impact of a minimally invasive, robotic approach covering the following topics: a brief history of robotic surgery, components and benefits of the robotic system as compared to laparoscopy, current literature on "vascular" applications of the robotic system, evolving training pathways and future perspectives.

Abstract:Robotic-assisted surgery is now well-established in clinical practice and has become the gold standard clinical treatment option for several clinical indications. The field of robotic-assisted surgery is expected to grow substantially in the next decade with a range of new robotic devices emerging to address unmet clinical needs across different specialities. A vibrant surgical robotics research community is pivotal for conceptualizing such new systems as well as for developing and training the engineers and scientists to translate them into practice. The da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK), an academic and industry collaborative effort to re-purpose decommissioned da Vinci surgical systems (Intuitive Surgical Inc, CA, USA) as a research platform for surgical robotics research, has been a key initiative for addressing a barrier to entry for new research groups in surgical robotics. In this paper, we present an extensive review of the publications that have been facilitated by the dVRK over the past decade. We classify research efforts into different categories and outline some of the major challenges and needs for the robotics community to maintain this initiative and build upon it.

[Combined efficacy of polyamine antimetabolites and cis-diamminedichloroplatinum].

Abstract:The combined antitumor effects of the polyamine antimetabolites, alpha-difluoro methylornithine (DFMO) and methylglyoxal-bis-guanylhydrazone (MGBG), with CDDP were studied using human gastric cancer cells xenotransplanted into nude mice. DFMO (1000 mg/kg in two divided doses) and MGBG (50 mg/kg) were given IP for six consecutive days from the time when the xenotransplanted tumor weighted about 100 mg, and CDDP (3.0 mg/kg) was given IP every other day from the same time. Animals treated with DFMO plus MGBG with or without CDDP as well as with CDDP only displayed suppressed tumor growth, compared to untreated mice. In mice treated with these three drugs, however, tumor growth was rather rapid compared to those treated with CDDP only, although tumoral CDDP levels in animals given DFMO, MGBG and CDDP were higher than those given CDDP only. When DFMO, MGBG and CDDP or DFMO and MGBG were administered, tumoral spermidine and spermine levels decreased markedly. On the other hand, tumor DNA biosynthesis in the CDDP only group dropped markedly 24 hours after the termination of therapy. These results suggest that an alteration in the DNA structure caused by polyamine deficiency may prevent cross-link formation in DNA by CDDP.

Abstract:Single-port (SP) robotic surgery is a relatively new technology that is expected to become available on the European market within a year. We investigated the current expectations of robotic surgery experts and opinion leaders practicing in Europe. A 17-item online questionnaire was sent to 120 participants identified as "experts" on the basis of their general contributions to the field of robotic surgery. Overall, 90 responses were registered, with a response rate of 75%. Italy (30%), France (15%), and the UK (12%) provided the most participants, who worked mainly in academic-either public (60%) or private (20%)-hospitals. Most respondents (79%) had no previous experience with "single site" surgery, and attendance at scientific meetings (79%) and perusal of the literature (65%) were the sources of SP knowledge most frequently reported. The perceived advantages of SP robotic surgery included lower invasiveness (61%), easier access to the retroperitoneal or extraperitoneal space (53%), better cosmetic results (44%), and lower postoperative pain (44%). The most "appealing" SP procedures were retroperitoneal partial nephrectomy via an anterior approach (43%) and transvesical simple prostatectomy (43%). Within the limitations of this type of analysis, our findings suggest high interest and a positive attitude towards SP technology overall.Patient summary: Technology for single-port (SP) robotic surgery, in which just one skin incision is made in the abdomen to perform the operation, will soon be available in Europe. We conducted a survey on SP surgery among European experts in urological robotic surgery. The results show that there is high interest in and a positive attitude to SP surgery. The SP approach could result in better cosmetic results and lower postoperative pain for patients.

The mean age and body mass index of patients were 47.7±12.8 years and 22.7±3.1 kg/m2. In terms of operative outcomes, the mean docking time, operating time, estimated blood loss, and hospitalization were 2.2±2.1 minutes, 126.3±61.6 minutes, 93.9±76.9 mL, and 4.6±0.7 days. There was no laparoconversion or major complication.ConclusionRobotic single port laparoscopy using the da Vinci SP surgical system might be an alternative surgical technique for various benign gynecologic diseases However, further studies are required to clarify the feasibility and safety of the new robot surgical system.

Epstein-Barr virus related lymphoma in inflammatory bowel disease.

Abstract:Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) induced lymphoproliferative disease is a well-known, feared complication of EBV primo-infection in children treated with immunomodulators or immunosuppressive drugs, eg after transplantation. As the incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in young children is rising, more young EBV naive patients are treated with immunomodulatory agents. It is not yet clear whether these patients carry the same risk as transplanted patients to develop lymphoproliferative disease and if so, whether their evolution is comparable. We present the history of a young patient with Crohn's disease who developed an EBV related lymphoma shortly after the primo-infection while being treated with azathioprine. This case argues for a rigorous follow up of young IBD patients treated with immune suppressive drugs, also regarding EBV status.

Abstract:The da Vinci Xi Surgical System (Intuitive Surgical Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, USA) has been released in 2014 to facilitate minimally invasive surgery. Novel features are targeted towards facilitating complex multi-quadrant procedures, but data is scarce so far. Perioperative data of patients who underwent robotic general surgery with the da Vinci Xi system within the first 6 month after installation were collected and analyzed. The gastric bypass procedures performed with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System were compared to an equal amount of the last procedures with the da Vinci Si Surgical System. Thirty-one foregut (28 Roux-en-Y gastric bypasses), 6 colorectal procedures and 1 revisional biliary procedure were performed. The mean operating room (OR) time was 221.8 (±69.0) minutes for gastric bypasses and 306.5 (±48.8) for colorectal procedures with mean docking time of 9.4 (±3.8) minutes. The gastric bypass procedure was transitioned from a hybrid to a fully robotic approach. In comparison to the last 28 gastric bypass procedures performed with the da Vinci Si Surgical System, the OR time was comparable (226.9 versus 230.6 min, p = 0.8094), but the docking time significantly longer with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System (8.5 versus 6.1 min, p = 0.0415). All colorectal procedures were performed with a single robotic docking. No intraoperative and two postoperative complications occurred. The da Vinci Xi might facilitate single-setups of totally robotic gastric bypass and colorectal surgeries. However, further comparable research is needed to clearly determine the significance of this latest version of the da Vinci Surgical System.

Abstract:This study examines the types of s tructural informat ion that can be gained by utilizing the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a cryofracture technique to examine the host-parasite interaction. Roots of tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum cv. Marglobe> were cul tured aseptically and inoculated with the root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita. Twentyfour hours to four weeks after inoculation, developing galls were removed from the cultures and processed for SEM observation. T h e cryofracture technique was used to reveal internal structural features wi th in the developing galls. T h e results i l lustrate structural details concerning penetration of the roots, differentiat ion of syncytia, and development of the neutatodes beginning with the second-stage larvae and ending with adul t egg-laying females.

Abstract:In recent decades, the development of surgical systems which minimize patient impact has been a major focus for surgeons and researchers, leading to the advent of robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery. These technologies offer significant patient benefits, including enhanced outcome quality and accuracy, reduced invasiveness, lower blood loss, decreased postoperative pain, diminished infection risk, and shorter hospitalization and recovery times. Surgeons benefit from the elimination of human tremor, ergonomic advantages, improved vision systems, better access to challenging anatomical areas, and magnified 3DHD visualization of the operating field. Since 2000, Intuitive Surgical has developed multiple generations of master-slave multi-arm robots, securing over 7000 patents, which created significant barriers for competitors. This monopoly resulted in the widespread adoption of their technology, now used in over 11 million surgeries globally. With the expiration of key patents, new robotic platforms featuring innovative designs, such as modular systems, are emerging. This review examines advancements in robotic surgery within the fields of general, urological, and gynecological surgery. The objective is to analyze the current robotic surgical platforms, their technological progress, and their impact on surgical practices. By examining these platforms, this review provides insights into their development, potential benefits, and future directions in robotic-assisted surgery.

Abstract:Detail the evolution, utility, and future directions of the da Vinci SP® in pediatric urology, focusing on perioperative outcomes and intraoperative details. The SP has been safely and successfully utilized in various pediatric urological procedures, from pyeloplasty to nephroureterectomy to appendicovesicostomy. Reports indicate mixed operative times but similar hospital stays and postoperative outcomes compared to multiport (MP) robotic surgery. The learning curve for transitioning from MP to SP systems in pediatric patients appears manageable, though the smaller abdominal circumference in children poses a notable challenge. This review assumes that SP systems will primarily be acquired for adult services, not considering initial and ongoing costs to hospital systems. The SP serves as a complementary option, rather than a replacement, for MP robotic surgery in pediatric urology, offering potential advantages in specific scenarios. Cosmetic outcomes with the SP appear at least as favorable as MP surgery, but further research is needed. Future research should focus on patient-centered outcomes to optimize SP robotic surgery use in pediatric patients.

Abstract:Ultrasound has been nicknamed "the surgeon's stethoscope". The advantages of laparoscopic ultrasound beyond a substitute for the sense of touch are considerable, especially for robotic surgery. Being able to see through parenchyma and into vascular structures enables to avoid unnecessary dissection by providing a thorough assessment at every stage without the need for contrast media or ionising radiation. The limitations of restricted angulation and access within the abdominal cavity during laparoscopy can be overcome by robotic handling of miniaturised ultrasound probes and the use of various and specific frequencies will meet tissue- and organ-specific characteristics. The aim of this systematic review was to assess the reported applications of intraoperative ultrasound-guided robotic surgery and to outline future perspectives.

Early Single-Center Experience of DaVinci® Single-Port (SP) Robotic Surgery in Colorectal Patients

Abstract:Background: DaVinci® single-port (SP) robotic surgery offers several benefits compared to traditional multiport laparoscopic or robotic surgeries. One of the main advantages is that it allows for a minimally invasive approach, resulting in a single, smaller incision and reduced trauma to the patient's body, leading to less postoperative pain, faster recovery, and reduced risk of complications. The cosmesis of a single port with minimal visible scarring is also an attractive aspect to the patients; however, many surgeons use an additional port for energy device, stapler use, and drain insertion. Pure single-port surgery with one incision is still rare. Here, we share our experience of our first 10 cases using the SP robotic platform in colorectal surgery. Methods: From May 2023 to December 2023, colorectal patients who underwent SP robotic surgery were analyzed. Placement of the incision was the umbilicus for eight patients, and right lower quadrant for two patients, through which ileostomy maturation was performed. Data on perioperative parameters and postoperative outcomes were analyzed, with a median follow-up of 4.6 months (range 0.6–7.4 months). Results: A total of 10 colorectal patients underwent DaVinci® single-port robotic colorectal surgery at our institution during this period. The patient demographic was four males (40%) and six females (60%) with a median age of 63.5 years (range 50–75 years). Median body mass index (BMI) was 22.89 kg/m2 (range 19.92–26.84 kg/m2). Nine patients were diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and one patient was diagnosed with a rectal gastrointestinal tumor. One patient underwent anterior resection and cholecystectomy simultaneously. Mean operation time was 222 min (range 142–316 min), and mean wound size was 3.25 cm (range 2.5–4.5 cm). Nine patients underwent surgery with single incision through which a single-port trocar was inserted, and one patient had one additional port for drain insertion. Mean hospital stay was 6 days (range 4–8 days) with one postoperative complication of bleeding requiring transfusion, but there was no readmission within 30 days. Conclusions: Overall, our experience with single-port robotic colorectal surgery has been promising. With only one patient with additional port for drain insertion, all nine patients underwent SP-robotic surgery with single incision for colon as well as rectal surgeries. Compared to an average postoperative length of stay of 6.5-8 days in laparoscopic colorectal surgeries reported in literature, SP-robotic surgery 33showed faster recovery of 6 days highlighting its benefits in patient recovery and satisfaction.

Abstract:18603 Background: Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) with the Gamma Knife (GK) has been used successfully in the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Results have been comparable to open surgery. There have been few reports with the use of LSRS in the management of TN. We report our updated results with LSRS in the treatment of TN. METHODS Between 2000 and 2006, 37 patients with medically refractory TN were treated with LSRS. Prior neurosurgical intervention had been performed in 28 patients. Ten patients had one procedure, 10 patients two, and 3 patients three interventions. All patients had typical TN. LSRS was given to the cranial nerve V entry root zone into the brainstem. Targeting was defined by CT and MRI Scans, and CT Cisternogram, utilizing axial, coronal, and sagittal images. Treatment planning was accomplished thru the Radionics Treatment Planning System. The dose was 87 Gy to Dm, in one fraction using the 5 mm collimator and 6 arcs with the 20% Isodose line just touching the brainstem. This dosimetry is similar to Gamma Knife. The dose rate was 400 MU/min. Average Arc length was 130 degrees. Response to treatment was defined as excellent (no pain, off analgesics), good (no pain, with analgesics), and poor (continued pain despite analgesics). RESULTS With a median follow-up of 40 months (range 6-72 months), 73% (27/37) of patients have reported an excellent or good result after LSRS. One patient has sustained permanent ipsilateral facial numbness. CONCLUSIONS LSRS offers comparable results to Gamma Knife SRS, with respect to both pain relief and complications, in the management of TN. No significant financial relationships to disclose.
The COMPARE Study: Comparing Perioperative Outcomes of Oncologic Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic, Da Vinci Robotic, and Open Procedures: A Systematic Review and meta-analysis of The Evidence

Abstract:Objective: To assess 30-day outcomes of da Vinci robotic-assisted (dV-RAS) versus laparoscopic/thoracoscopic (lap/VATS) or open oncologic surgery. Summary background data: Complex procedures in deep/narrow spaces especially benefit from dV-RAS. Prior procedure-specific comparisons are not generalizable. Methods: PubMed, Scopus and EMBASE were systematically searched (latest: 11/17/2023) following PRISMA and PROSPERO (Reg#CRD42023466759). Randomized, prospective, and database studies were pooled as odds ratios (OR) or mean differences (MD) in R using fixed-effect or random-effects (heterogeneity significant). ROBINS-I/RoB 2 were used to assess bias. Results: Of 56,314 unique references over 12 years from 22 countries, 230 studies (34 randomized, 74 prospective, 122 database) comparing dV-RAS to lap/VATS or open surgery across 7 procedures, 4 specialties, representing 1,194,559 dV-RAS; 1,095,936 lap/VATS and 1,625,320 open cases were included. Operative time for dV-RAS was longer than lap/VATS (MD:17.73min [9.80,25.67], P <0.01) and open surgery (MD:40.92min [28.83,53.00], P <0.01), whereas hospital stay was shorter (lap/VATS MD:-0.51d [-0.64,-0.38], P <0.01; open MD:-1.85d [-2.09,-1.62], P <0.01) and blood loss was less versus open (MD:-293.44ml [-359.53,-227.35]). There were fewer dV-RAS conversions (OR:0.44 [0.40,0.49], P <0.01), transfusions (OR:0.79 [0.72,0.88], P <0.01), postoperative complications (OR:0.90 [0.84,0.96], P <0.01), readmissions (OR:0.91 [0.83,0.99], P =0.04), and deaths (OR:0.86 [0.81,0.92], P <0.01) versus lap/VATS, and fewer transfusions (OR:0.25 [0.21,0.30], P <0.01), postoperative complications (OR:0.56 [0.52,0.61], P <0.01), readmissions (OR:0.71 [0.63,0.81], P <0.01), reoperations (OR:0.89 [0.81,0.97], P <0.01), and deaths (OR:0.54 [0.47,0.63], P <0.01) versus open surgery. Blood loss (MD:-12.26mL [-29.44,4.91], P =0.16) and reoperations (OR:1.03 [0.95,1.11], P =0.48) were similar for dV-RAS and lap/VATS. There was significant heterogeneity. Conclusions: Da Vinci -RAS confers benefits across oncological procedures and study designs. These results provide clinical evidence to multi-specialty-care decision-makers considering dV-RAS.
