Abstract:Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) Syndrome is a rare condition where the third portion of the duodenum becomes compressed between the SMA and the aorta. Symptomology is vague and can be mimicked by the even lesser-known superior mesenteric vein (SMV) Syndrome where the third portion of the duodenum is compressed by an aberrant SMV. In this report, we present a unique case of SMV syndrome.
