Abstract:Protein glycosylation and phosphorylation, two of the most important post-translational modifications (PTMs) in the proteome, play a vital role in regulating a number of complex biological processes and involvement in a variety of diseases. Comprehensive characterization of the phosphoproteome and glycoproteome requires highly specific and sensitive enrichment methods of purification of phosphopeptides and glycopeptides because many glycoproteins and phosphoproteins naturally occur at low abundances and substoichiometry. Here, we reported a facile route to fabricate a novel multifunctional Ti4+-mmobilized dentritic polyglycerol CS@PGMA@IDA (CS, chitosan; PGMA, poly(glycidyl methacrylate); IDA, iminodiacetic acid) nanomaterials. The polymer surface endows the nanomaterials with biocompatibility, excellent hydrophilic property, and a large amount of Ti 4+ which have the property of immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC)- and hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC)-based functional materials. The CS@PGMA@IDA-Ti4+ nanomaterials demonstrate an outstanding ability for N-glycopeptides and phosphopeptides enrichment simultaneously, evaluated by the extremely high binding capacity (150 mg g-1), sensitivity (above 0.1 fmol), and high enrichment recovery (above 75.4%). Its outstanding specificity and efficiency for purification of phosphopeptides is reflected in quantities as low as 1:5000 molar ratios of phosphopeptides which can be detected. Furthermore, we used CS@PGMA@IDA-Ti4+ to enrich for N-glycopeptides and phosphopeptides followed by PNGase F treatment, fractionated and separated N-glycopeptides and phosphopeptides with different eluents, and then analyzed by MS, a total of 423 (84.4 ID/μg, 3.525 ID/min) N-glycopeptides in 235 different glycoproteins and 422 (84.4 ID/μg, 3.517 ID/min) phosphopeptides in 256 different phosphoproteins which were finally identified in two independent LC-MS/MS runs (with a total time of 120 min) from 50 μg of mouse liver. The results demonstrated that the method based on CS@PGMA@IDA-Ti4+ to single-step enrichment of N-glycopeptides and phosphopeptides is simple, efficient, specific, and compatible to MS. It can be expected that CS@PGMA@IDA-Ti4+ would hold great applicability of modification-based proteomics to the precious and low amounts of clinical samples.

Abstract:Singly-functionalized nanomaterials cannot fully meet the requirements for biological applications, although most of them have still been used in the enrichment of phosphopeptides. Multifunctional nanocomposites with more capacity for the specific enrichment of phosphopeptides are becoming a new research focus. Here, a simplified and effective system was developed for the fast and highly selective enrichment of phosphopeptides using functionalized SiO2/TiO2 nanocomposites as sorbents. The functionalized SiO2/TiO2 nanocomposites were prepared by an amidation reaction between the amino groups of mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles and the carboxyl groups of TiO2 nanocrystals. The nanocomposites' surfaces possess high absorption capacity for phosphopeptides, taking advantage of both the strong anion exchange ability of the amine-functionalized SiO2 nanospheres and the high metal oxide affinity of the TiO2 nanocrystals. A simplified approach using a pipette tip filled with prepared functionalized SiO2/TiO2 nanocomposites was applied to enrich phosphopeptides in digests of phosphoprotein (beta-casein), mixtures of beta-casein and bovine serum albumin (BSA), and non-fat milk. Using this approach, enriched phosphopeptides were obtained from the digested peptides in less than one minute. The phosphopeptides were analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS, and the limit of detection for phosphopeptides was approximately 10 femtomoles. With highly selective enrichment efficiency, the functionalized SiO2/TiO2 nanocomposites could have great promise for applications in MS-based phosphoproteomics.

Abstract:In bottom-up strategy, specific enrichment of glycopeptides and phosphopeptides from complicated biological samples is a prerequisite for efficient identifying glycosylation and phosphorylation by mass spectrometry. Although there were a plethora of materials used as either hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) or immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) adsorbents, even several bifunctional materials for simultaneous enrichment of glycopeptides and phosphopeptides, most of them are not easily commercialized as many other well-performing adsorbents due to the complicated preparation process. In our case, a one-step modification strategy was developed to prepare bifunctional adsorbents for HILIC and IMAC, employing O-phospho-L-serine as the modifier and poly(GMA-co-EDMA) microspheres, a kind of macroporous adsorption resin (MAR) with epoxy groups, as the matrix. The MARs were directly modified with O-phospho-L-serine under facile condition for HILIC strategy and further chelated with Ti4+ for IMAC strategy. A total of 522 unique N-glycopeptides and 442 unique N-glycosylation sites mapped to 275 glycoproteins was identified from HeLa cell proteins, showing excellent enrichment efficiency in HILIC. Additionally, 3141 unique phosphopeptides were unambiguously identified from 200 μg of digest of HeLa cell proteins, demonstrating great enrichment efficiency in IMAC. Moreover, these materials have been successfully applied in the analysis of multiple biological samples including human serum and milk, demonstrating their feasibility for real sample applications and potential business value.

A T-TS-1 material-based successive phosphopeptide enrichment strategy has also been established for real biological sample analysis, which exhibited high enrichment selectivity and is comparable to existing materials.

Abstract:Glycosylation and phosphorylation as the commonest and most important posttranslational modifications of proteins play critical roles in biological processes. Specific and sensitive strategies have been developed to identify the glycosylation and phosphorylation of proteins by mass spectrometry but most of these methods have mainly focused on enriching glycopeptides or phosphopeptides separately, and few of them can enrich both of them. In this work, highly selective SiO2–NH2@TiO2 hollow microspheres were designed and synthesized for the simultaneous selective enrichment of both phosphopeptides and glycopeptides. Because of the bifunctionalized property of the titanium dioxide and the amino group, the hollow microspheres were successfully applied for the simultaneous enrichment of phosphopeptides and glycopeptides. We evaluated the enrichment selectivity of the SiO2–NH2@TiO2 hollow microspheres by capturing phosphopeptides and glycopeptides from a peptide mixture of bovine β-casein, horseradish peroxidase, and bovine serum albumin in a molar ratio of 1:1:500 (1.7 × 10−12 mol β-casein and horseradish peroxidase, 8.5 × 10−10 mol bovine serum albumin in 100 μL).
Synthesis of Zwitterionic Polymer Brushes Hybrid Silica Nanoparticles Via Controlled Polymerization for Highly Efficient Enrichment of Glycopeptides

Abstract:Zwitterionic hydrophilic interaction chromatography (ZIC-HILIC) materials have been increasingly attractive in glycopeptide enrichment. However, the traditional ZIC-HILIC materials are modified with monolayer zwitterionic molecules on the surface, therefore, the hydrophilicity, detection sensitivity and loading capacity are limited. In this work, we synthesized novel silica nanoparticles with uniform poly(2( methacryloyloxy) ethyl) dimethyl-(3-sul-fopropyl) ammonium hydroxide (PMSA) brushes grafted onto the surface via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization (denoted as SiO2-RAFT@ PMSA). The resulting SiO2-RAFT@ PMSA nanoparticles demonstrated low detection limit (10 fmol) and high recovery yield (over 88%) for glycopeptide enrichment from tryptic digest of human IgG. The SiO2-RAFT@ PMSA nanoparticles were further applied for the analysis of mouse liver glycoproteome, a total number of 303 unique N-glycosylation sites corresponding to 185 glycoproteins was reliably profiled in three replicate nano-LC-MS/MS runs. Significantly, more glycopeptides were identified than those of nanoparticles, monolayer MSA molecules modified SiO2@single-MSA and nonuniform multilayer PMSA brushes coated SiO2@PMSA, as well as commercial ZIC@HILIC beads and Click Maltose beads. The excellent performance of SiO2-RAFT@PMSA nanoparticles results from the non-fouling property, a large quantity of functional molecules and suitable link arms provided by uniform PMSA brushes, as well as efficient interaction between glycopeptides and uniform PMSA brushes. It is concluded that the synthesized SiO2-RAFT@PMSA nanoparticles exhibit great potential in glycoproteome analysis. Moreover, this strategy to modify nanopaticles with uniform polymer brushes via RAFT polymerization can also be explored to design other types of materials for bioseparation application. Abstract:The comprehensive investigation of protein phosphorylation and glycosylation aids in the discovery of novel biomarkers as well as the understanding of the pathophysiology of illness. In this work, a nitrogen/titanium-rich porous organic polymer was developed by copolymerizing carbohydrazide (CH) and 2,3-dihydroxyterephthalaldehyde (2,3-Dha) and modifying with Ti 4+ (CH–Dha–Ti 4+ ). The adequate nitrogen contributes to the enrichment of glycopeptides via HILIC, while titanium benefits from capturing phosphopeptides through IMAC. The proposed method exhibits excellent selectivity (1 : 1000, both for glycopeptides and phosphopeptides), LOD (for glycopeptides: 0.05 fmol μL −1 , for phosphopeptides: 0.2 fmol), loading capacity (for glycopeptides: 100 mg g −1 , for phosphopeptides: 125 mg g −1 ) and size-exclusion effect (1 : 10 000, both for glycopeptides and phosphopeptides). Furthermore, CH–Dha–Ti 4+ was applied to capture glycopeptides and phosphopeptides from human serum; 205 glycopeptides and 45 phosphopeptides were detected in the serum of normal controls; and 294 glycopeptides and 63 phosphopeptides were found in the serum of uremia patients after being analyzed by nano LC-MS/MS. The discovered glycopeptides and phosphopeptides were involved in several molecular biological processes and activities, according to a gene ontology study.

Abstract:Both of phosphorylation and glycosylation are playing crucial roles in biological processes. For deep analysis of phosphorylation and glycosylation, a multifunctional nanocomposite (dubbed Mag TiO2-GSH) is constructed by coating hydrophilic tripeptide on the surface of magnetic titania. The introduction of titanium oxide and hydrophilic tripeptide endows the nanocomposite specific affinity preference towards phospho- and glycopeptides. Besides, the employment of magnetic nanoparticles dramatically simplifies the solid-liquid separation process. Combining all above mentioned performance of Mag TiO2-GSH nanocomposites with mass spectrometry technique, a multipurpose platform is built for the universal enrichment of phospho- and glycopeptides. In addition to the high sensitivity and selectivity, they also perform excellent in biological samples. Thus, a total of 975 phosphopeptides and 1243 glycopeptides are identified from merely 100 μg mouse brain extracts at the same time, which will make it possible to exceedingly advance the phospho- and glycoproteomics and simplify the screening of related biomarkers.

Abstract:Inspired by the enrichment preferences of metal ions for phosphopeptides, a layered assembly method was adopted to introduce hydrophilic polyhydroxy ligands tannic acid (TA) to prepare magnetic bimetal ion-functionalized nanomaterials denoted by Fe 3 O 4 @TA@Ti 4+ /Zr 4+ to provide the comprehensive enrichment of phosphopeptides. Benefiting from the excellent ion immobilization ability and unbiasedness for phosphopeptide enrichment, Fe 3 O 4 @TA@Ti 4+ /Zr 4+ shows excellent properties for the enrichment and identification of global phosphopeptides. The results show that the material possesses high efficiency, outstanding selectivity (the maximum molar ratio β-casein to bovine serum albumin is 1:1000), a low detection limit of 0.4 fmol/μL, and the ability to be recycled at least 10 times. In addition, excellent performance was also demonstrated in the analysis of skimmed milk and human saliva: 13 and 31 phosphopeptides were successfully captured. The results demonstrate that the material has high potential for practical application in phosphoproteomics.

Abstract:The elucidation of protein post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, remains a challenging analytical task for proteomic studies. Since many of the proteins targeted for phosphorylation are low in abundance and phosphorylation is typically substoichiometric, a prerequisite for their identification is the specific enrichment of phosphopeptide prior to mass spectrometric analysis. Here, we presented a new method termed as immobilized titanium ion affinity chromatography (Ti (4+)-IMAC) for enriching phosphopeptides. A phosphate polymer, which was prepared by direct polymerization of monomers containing phosphate groups, was applied to immobilize Ti (4+) through the chelating interaction between phosphate groups on the polymer and Ti (4+). The resulting Ti (4+)-IMAC resin specifically isolates phosphopeptides from a digest mixture of standard phosphoproteins and nonphosphoprotein (BSA) in a ratio as low as 1:500. Ti (4+)-IMAC was further applied for phosphoproteome analysis of mouse liver. We also compared Ti (4+)-IMAC to other enrichment methods including Fe (3+)-IMAC, Zr (4+)-IMAC, TiO 2 and ZrO 2, and demonstrate superior selectivity and efficiency of Ti (4+)-IMAC for the isolation and enrichment of phosphopeptides. The high specificity and efficiency of phosphopeptide enrichment by Ti (4+)-IMAC mainly resulted from the flexibility of immobilized titanium ion with spacer arm linked to polymer beads as well as the specific interaction between immobilized titanium ion and phosphate group on phosphopeptides.

Abstract:Mass spectrometric technique has emerged as a preferred technique in the analysis of protein phosphorylation. Owing to the low stoichiometry of phosphopeptides and the signal suppression effect by non-phosphopeptides, there is a demand for efficient enrichment of phosphopeptides. The selective enrichment of phosphopeptides in modified eppendorf tubes prior to mass spectrometry analysis, which can minimize sample loss as well as nonspecific interferences effectively, has become a hot topic in current proteomics field. In our work, an easy-to-use phosphopeptide-selective eppendorf tube was initially prepared, with its inner surface being modified with a Ti4+-immobilized polydopamine (PDA) layer. The unique Ti4+-immobilized PDA-modified eppendorf tubes (EP tube@PDA-Ti4+) are investigated for its application in selective enrichment of phosphopeptides from complex biological samples. Due to the high Ti4+ loading amount on the surface of PDA, the EP tube@PDA-Ti4+ exhibits remarkable phosphopeptide enrichment ability in protein digests and human serum, which presents a powerful evidence for its high selectivity in detecting the low-abundance phosphopeptides from complex biological samples.
One-step fabrication of dipeptide-based bifunctional polymer for individual enrichment of glycopeptides and phosphopeptides from serum

Abstract:A dipeptide-based bifunctional material immobilized with Ti4+ (denoted as APE-MBA-VPA-Ti4+) was developed using precipitation polymerization. This polymer combines hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) and immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) enrichment strategies, allowing for the individual and simultaneous enrichment of glycopeptides and phosphopeptides. It demonstrated high sensitivity (0.1 fmol μL-1 for glycopeptides, 0.005 fmol μL-1 for phosphopeptides), strong selectivity (molar ratio HRP: BSA = 1:1000, β-casein: BSA = 1:2500), consistent reusability (10 cycles) and satisfactory recovery rate (93.5 ± 1.8 % for glycopeptides, 91.6 ± 0.6 % for phosphopeptides) in the individual enrichment. Utilizing nano LC-MS/MS technology, the serum of liver cancer patients was analyzed after enrichment individually, resulting in the successful capture of 333 glycopeptides covering 262 glycosylation sites, corresponding to 131 glycoproteins, as well as 67 phosphopeptides covering 57 phosphorylation sites, related to 48 phosphoproteins. In comparison, the serum of normal healthy individuals yielded a total of 283 glycopeptides covering 244 glycosylation sites corresponding to 126 glycoproteins, as well as 66 phosphopeptides covering 56 phosphorylation sites related to 37 phosphoproteins. Label-free quantification identified 10 differentially expressed glycoproteins and 8 differentially expressed phosphoproteins in the serum of liver cancer patients. Among them, glycoproteins (HP, BCHE, AGT, C3, and PROC) and phosphoproteins (ZYX, GOLM1, GP1BB, CLU, and TNXB) showed upregulation and displayed potential as biomarkers for liver cancer.
Sequential Selective Enrichment of Phosphopeptides and Glycopeptides Using Amine-Functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles

Abstract:As two of the most common and important post-translational modifications (PTMs) of proteins, glycosylation and phosphorylation play critical roles in biological processes. Because of the low abundance of phosphopeptides/glycopeptides, specific and sensitive strategies are especially indispensable for the identification of protein phosphorylation and glycosylation by mass spectrometry (MS). However, most of those previously reported methods only focused on enriching either phosphopeptides or glycopeptides rather than enriching both of them. In the present study, amine-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized in a one-pot procedure and successfully used for selective enrichment of both phosphopeptides and glycopeptides. The selectivity of this method was demonstrated by analyzing the mixture of peptides/phosphopeptides/glycopeptides at molar ratio of 10 : 1 : 1; the post-enrichment recovery was 88% and 76% for phosphopeptides and glycopeptides respectively. The sensitivity was at the fmol level for both of the phosphopeptides and glycopeptides. In addition, sequence coverage was increased from 25.6% to 51.8% corresponding to a 102% increase for a model protein asialofetuin. These newly identified phosphopeptides or glycopeptides provided additional sequence information, which was beneficial to the protein identification.

Abstract:In this work, titanium-rich hydrazide-linked porous organic polymers (hydrazide-POPs-Ti4+) were synthesized using hydrazine, 2,3-dihydroxyterephthalaldehyde (DHTA) and trimethyl 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate (TP) as the ligands. Hydrazide-POPs-Ti4+ combined with HILIC and IMAC can be used for simultaneous enrichment of glycopeptides and phosphopeptides. The detection limit of this protocol is 0.1 fmol μL-1 for glycopeptides and 0.005 fmol μL-1 for phosphopeptides, and the selectivities are 1 : 1000 and 1 : 2000 for glycopeptides and phosphopeptides, respectively. For practical bio-sample analysis, 201 glycopeptides associated with 129 glycoproteins and 26 phosphopeptides associated with 21 phosphoproteins were selectively captured from healthy human serum, and 186 glycopeptides associated with 117 glycoproteins and 60 phosphopeptides associated with 50 phosphoproteins were enriched in the serum of breast cancer patients. Gene Ontology analysis indicated that the identified glycoproteins and phosphoproteins were linked to breast cancer, including the binding of complement component C1q and low-density lipoprotein particles, protein oxidation and complement activation, suggesting that these connected pathways are probably engaged in the disease pathology of breast cancer.

On one hand, the special interaction of titanium-thiol makes the synthetic manipulation simple and provides a new idea for design and synthesis of novel nanomaterials; on the other hand, strong magnetic response could realize rapid separation and the outstanding hydrophilicity of polyethylene glycol makes Fe3O4@TiO2@PEG nanomaterials show superior performance for glycopeptides enrichment with ultralow limit of detection (0.1mol/μL) and high selectivity (1:100). As a result, 24 and 33 glycopeptides enriched from HRP and IgG digests were identified respectively by MALDI-TOF MS, and 300 glycopeptides corresponding to 106 glycoproteins were recognized from merely 2μL human serum, indicating a great potential of Fe3O4@TiO2@PEG nanomaterials for glycoproteomic research.

Abstract:Developing an effective separation method is necessary for identifying low-abundant endogenous phosphorylated peptides with the removal of proteins. In this work, we prepared size-exclusive magnetic graphene/mesoporous silica composites with titanium(IV)-immobilized pore walls (denoted as Ti(4+)-MGMSs) for capturing endogenous phosphorylated peptides for mass spectrometry analysis. The introduction of hydrophilic polydopamine simplified the synthetic process of Ti(4+)-MGMSs, and the ordered mesoporous channels are beneficial to the trapping of endogenous phosphopeptides while large-size proteins are excluded. Furthermore, the magnetic performance greatly simplifies the entire process of enrichment. With all of the advances, the novel Ti(4+)-MGMSs present high enrichment efficiency either from the low concentration of β-casein tryptic digest (0.5 fmol/μL) or the mixture of β-casein tryptic digest and α-casein (or plus bovine serum albumin, with a mass ratio up to 1:500). Besides, Ti(4+)-MGMSs have also been successfully applied to enrich endogenous phosphorylated peptides from human serum and human saliva.
Mesoporous TiO(2) nanocrystal clusters for selective enrichment of phosphopeptides.

Abstract:Protein phosphorylation plays a key role in most cellular processes. Studying phosphopeptides in complex biological samples has been a great challenge due to their low abundance as well as the coexistence of excessive amounts of salts or surfactants. In this work we demonstrate a general approach for selective separation of phosphopeptides using a class of novel mesoporous nanostructured materials. TiO2 nanocrystals are first self-assembled into submicrometer clusters containing relatively uniform mesoscale pores and then stabilized by coating with a thin layer of silica. Calcination of the materials at high temperatures connects the neighboring nanocrystals together and enhances the mechanical stability of the clusters and at the same time removes the organic surfactants and makes the TiO2 surface fully accessible to phosphopeptides. By coating the nanocrystal clusters with a layer of silica before calcination and removing it afterward through chemical etching, we have been able to make the cluster surface hydrophilic and negatively charged, thus enhancing the water dispersibility of the clusters and eventually their accessibility to phosphopeptides. The high selectivity and capacity of these mesoporous TiO2 clusters have been demonstrated by effectively enriching phosphopeptides from digests of phosphoprotein (alpha- or beta-casein), protein mixtures of beta-casein and bovine serum albumin, milk, and human serum samples. We also demonstrate that the self-assembly process brings the flexibility of incorporation of multiple components, such as superparamagnetic nanocrystals, to further facilitate the peptide separation.
Nano-titanium dioxide composites for the enrichment of phosphopeptides

Abstract:Protein phosphorylation is one of the most important known posttranslational modifications and the strategy to enrich phosphopeptides becomes a critical issue for mapping protein phosphorylation sites. In this study, nano-titanium dioxide (TiO2) composites were synthesized, characterized, and demonstrated to have high loading capacity and high capture efficiency for enriching phosphopeptides. TiO2 nanoparticles were first silanized with methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and then were photopolymerized in the presence of a diacrylate crosslinker. The chemical bonds formed by the reaction were confirmed by both FT-IR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) further reveals that agglomeration of the particles was created by the crosslinking, which allowed the nanocomposites to be well retained within the cartridge and used as the chromatographic packing material. Titration with phenyl phosphate indicated that the TiO2 nanocomposites have two times as much phosphate binding capacity compared with 5 microm TiO2 particles. Moreover, based on repetitive analyses of the tryptic digest deduced from pure proteins as well as from protein mixtures containing phospho and non-phospho proteins, the capture efficiency of TiO2 nanocomposites was determined to be two to five times larger compared with 5 microm TiO2 particles. The cost for preparing nanocomposite TiO2 is low and it holds great promises to be used as chromatographic materials for phosphopeptide enrichment.

Highly Efficient Enrichment Method for Glycopeptide Analyses: Using Specific and Nonspecific Nanoparticles Synergistically.

Abstract:We invented a new method for highly efficient and specific enrichment of glycopeptides using two different nanomaterials synergistically. One is boronic-acid-functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles, enriching glycopeptides through formation of cyclic boronate esters between the boronic acid groups and the cis-diol groups on glycopeptides. The other nanomaterial is conventional poly(methyl methacrylate) nanobeads, which have strong adsorption toward nonglycopeptides. By optimizing the proportion of these two materials, extremely high sensitivity and selectivity are achieved in analyzing the standard glycopeptides/nonglycopeptides mixture solutions. Since the washing step is not necessary for these conditions, the enrichment process is simplified and the recovery efficiency of target glycopeptides reaches 90%. Finally, this approach is successfully applied to analyze human serum with the sample volume as little as I mu L, in which 147 different N-glycosylation peptides within 66 unique glycoproteins are identified. All these performances by the synergistic enrichment are much better than employing one specific enrichment agent alone.

Abstract:Selective separation and enrichment of phosphoproteins possess the distinct clinical and biological importance in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of several fatal human diseases. In this study, a facile synthesis of titanium(IV) ion–immobilized arsenate-modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate) microparticles (denoted as Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs) was developed for the efficient enrichment of intact phosphoproteins found in biologically complex protein samples. By virtue of the strong interaction between the titanium ions immobilized on the surface of Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs and phosphate groups of phosphoproteins, Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs had a high saturated adsorption capacity for phosphoproteins (901 mg/g for β-casein), which was much higher than that of non-phosphoproteins (73.5 mg/g for BSA). Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs were characterized by SEM, TEM, and FT-IR, and the average particle diameter was about 2.5 μm with good dispersibility. Besides, the application of Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs in real biological samples was investigated by SDS-PAGE analysis, and the results showed that Ti4+-arsenate-PGMA-MPs were able to enrich phosphoproteins efficiently.
