Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To survey effective treatment strategies for cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).METHODS:The clinical data of 78 patients diagnosed with CSP from January 2010 to December 2013 were reviewed.RESULTS:Among these patients, 17 patients were first treated at our hospital; of them, 2 were misdiagnosed. The other 61 patients were referred from other hospitals; of them, 21 were initially misdiagnosed. There were 9 patients who were treated with laparotomy, 50 patients with curettage after uterine artery embolization (UAE) with or without local methotrexate (MTX) infusion, 10 patients with dilatation and curettage, 6 patients with transvaginal sonographic guided local intragestational MTX injection, and 3 patients with systemic MTX injection. All patients finally recovered. Patients with excessive vaginal hemorrhage underwent either emergency UAE treatment or laparotomy. These two treatments had similar success rates (81.82% vs. 100%, χ2 =0.289, P>0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The accurate diagnosis of CSP is important. Curettage after UAE with or without local MTX infusion is a safe and effective method.

Abstract:BACKGROUND Heterotopic cesarean scar pregnancy（HCSP） is very rare and has a high risk of massive uterine bleeding. Preservation of concurrent intrauterine pregnancy（IUP） is one of the great challenges in the management of HCSP. No universal treatment protocol has been established when IUP is desired to be preserved.CASE SUMMARY We report a case of HCSP at 8+ wk gestation in a 34-year-old woman with stable hemodynamics. A two-step intervention was applied. Selective embryo aspiration was performed first, and surgical removal of ectopic gestational tissue by suction and curettage was performed 2 d later. Both steps were performed under ultrasound guidance. The patient had an uneventful course, and a healthy baby was delivered at 34+6 wk gestation.CONCLUSION Selective embryo aspiration followed by suction and curettage was successful in the preservation of IUP in the management of HCSP. This approach is an alternative option for HCSP in the first trimester when the IUP is desired to be preserved.

Abstract:Background Heterotopic cesarean scar pregnancy (HCSP) is a very rare but life-threatening entity and there is no optimal management strategy. Here we report a successfully managed case of HCSP with expectant treatment in a tertiary referral hospital.Methods A woman with HCSP after in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer opted for expectant treatment after five days of mild bleeding and ultrasound demonstrated cardiac activity disappearance of the scar pregnancy at 8(+4) weeks of gestation.Results The patient had mild to moderate bleeding during close monitoring. Three days later, speculurn examination revealed the gestational mass was partly protruding at the os of the cervix and it was removed with forceps without massive hemorrhage. A healthy male baby was delivered by cesarean section at gestational age of 36(+4) weeks.Conclusions The expectant method might be an alternative option for a HCSP with loss of cardiac activity of the scar pregnancy, when applied under supportive management and with available emergency surgery facilities. [Clinical Comparative Analysis of Surgical Resection of the Pregnancy by Hysterotomy and Hysterectomy for Cesarean Scar Pregnancy].

Abstract:Objective: To assess the indication and safety of surgical resection of the pregnancy by hysterotomy (SRPH) and hysterectomy for cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). Methods: A retrospective study of women with CSP was conducted at the Women's Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, from Jan. 2003 to Mar. 2016. The women underwent SRPH (SRPH group, n=35) and hysterectomy (Hysterectomy group, n=14) were included. The gestational age (GA), size of gestational mass(GM), level of serum β-hCG, previous treatments and clinical outcomes were analyzed. Results: The median GA, the mean size of GM, median serum β-hCG level, median amount of blood loss, rate ot blood transfusion, rate of persistent CSP, and rate of motal status in SRPH group versus Hysterectomy group were 66 versus 84 days, (65±22) versus (92±36) mm, 23 755 versus 802 U/L, 400 versus 650 ml, 11% (4/35) versus 13/14, 49% (17/35) versus 12/14, 20% (7/35) versus 14/14, respectively (all P<0.05). In SRPH group, median amount of blood loss was 500 ml in patients with GA≥10 weeks versus 300 ml in patients with GA<10 weeks (P<0.05). Serious complication occurred in 7 patients: severe pelvic inflammation in 1 patient and hematomas in the uterine isthmus in 1 patient in SRPH group; severe pelvic inflammation in 2 patients and hemorrhagic shock and DIC in 3 patients in Hysterectomy group. No blaader damage occurred. Conclusions: SRPH is effective and safe for patients with CSP with GA of 9-10 weeks, a diameter of 60-90 mm and stable hemodynamics. Hysterectomy is an alternative to SRPH for patiens in motal status with advanced GA more than 12 weeks.

Abstract:To provide a better understanding and guidance for the treatment of heterotopic Caesarean scar pregnancy (HCSP). 20 women with HCSP following in vitro fertilisation-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in our centre between January 2013 and December 2017 were retrospectively identified. Among them, 19 cases were diagnosed by first trimester transvaginal sonography (TVS), while the other case was missed. According to whether or not embryonic/fetal cardiac activity was present at the initial diagnosis or later in the Caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP), the diagnosed 19 cases were divided into group A (with positive embryonic/fetal cardiac activity, n = 10) and group B (with no cardiac activity, n = 9). The characteristics, diagnoses and clinical outcomes were compared between the two groups. The diagnostic accuracy of TVS for HCSP was 95.0%. The gestational age ranged from 5+6 to 6+5 w in group A at diagnosis and ranged from 5+2 to 9+1 w in group B. In group A, 5 patients received successful surgical or medical treatment and 5 cases were treated expectantly. The CSP continued to develop in 3 cases, and delivery ultimately occurred in 2 cases. The live birth rate of all IUPs was 30% (3/10); in group B, 77.8% of the patients (7/9) received expectant treatment, among whom 6 had CSPs that disappeared or were excised during CD and 1 had a CSP that was terminated. Surgical treatment was carried out in 2 cases. The live birth rate of all IUPs was 55.6% (5/9). The myometrial thickness was lower in patients receiving surgical treatment than in those receiving expectant treatment (3.5 ± 1.0 vs. 5.2 ± 1.3 mm, p = 0.011). TVS has high accuracy for diagnosing HCSP during the first trimester. Expectant management may be a reasonable option for CSP with no embryonic/fetal cardiac activity in view of the low occurrence of severe complications, and this treatment may also be considered for patients with live CSPs, which may allow the possibility of delivering two live babies but with a high risk of placenta accreta/increta. Abstract:The incidence of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is increasing reflecting the global increase in cesarean section (CS) rate which has almost doubled since 2000. CSP differs from other types of ectopic pregnancy in its ability to progress while still carrying a significant risk of maternal morbidity. Little is known about precise etiology or natural history although current interest in the pathology of placenta accretes spectrum disorders might be enlightening. Early detection and treatment of CSP are challenging. Once diagnosed, the recommendation is to offer early termination of pregnancy because of the potential risks of continuing the pregnancy. However, as the likelihood of future pregnancy complications for any CSP varies depending on its individual characteristics, this might not always be necessary nor might it be the patient's preferred choice if she is asymptomatic, hemodynamically stable, and wants a baby. The literature supports an interventional rather than a medical approach but the safest and most efficient clinical approach to CSP in terms of treatment modality and service delivery has yet to be determined. This review aims to provide an overview of CSP etiology, natural history, and clinical implications. Treatment options and methods of CSP repair are discussed. We describe our experience in a large tertiary center in Singapore with around 16 cases/year where most treatment modalities are available as well as an "accreta service" for continuing pregnancies. We present a simple algorithm for approach to management including a method of triaging for those CSPs suitable for minimally invasive surgery.

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and long-term prognosis of uterine artery chemoembolization (UACE) combined with curettage for treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).Methods: Data were retrospectively reviewed from women with CSPs treated by UACE with curettage at Women's Hospital of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, a tertiary obstetrics and gynecologic center in China, between December 2006 and December 2016. Information on clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes was obtained from medical records and follow-up interviews.Results: There were 383 patients included; 379 (99.0%) women were successfully treated. Risk factors associated with intraoperative bleeding were size of gestational mass (P=0.001), presence of fetal heart beat (P=0.002), and type of CSP (P=0.002). Among 301 women with complete medical records over a mean +/- SD follow-up of 49.8 +/- 30.2 months, 164 (54.5%) women resumed normal menstruation and only 22 (7.3%) experienced a reduction in menstrual volume of more than one-half. Among 89 women attempting to conceive, the conception rate was 69% (61/89), the positive pregnancy rate was 80% (49/61), and 35 live neonates were delivered.Conclusion: UACE combined with curettage was found to be an effective fertility-sparing treatment for CSP. Further, the approach did not seem to harm future reproductive ability.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To discuss the diagnosis and treatment strategy of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).METHODS:Forty-two cases of CSP admitted to Peking University First Hospital from Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2008 were analyzed retrospectively, and the clinical characteristics, pelvic Doppler ultrasonography report, management including methotrexate (MTX) therapy, bilateral uterine artery embolism (UAE), curettage and hysterectomy of these 42 women were reviewed. The percentage of human chorionic gonadochopin (hCG) reduction, menstrual period after the treatment of her CSP and recurrent pregnant outcome were also followed.RESULTS:Among the 42 CSP women, 24 (57%) presented with vaginal bleeding, 3 (7%) with lower abdominal pain. The interval between CSP and the last cesarean scar (CS) was 0.5 - 18.0 years and the average duration of gestation was (60 +/- 18) days. Fourteen cases (33%) were finally diagnosed as CSP in our hospital followed by failure of abortion due to misdiagnosed as early uterine pregnancy in other hospitals; one (2%) was finally diagnosed after hysterectomy due to excessive bleeding during curettage because of suspected hydatidiform mole under color sonography; one was diagnosed by MRI after color sonography; the rest 25 women (60%) were all confirmed by color sonography before management. Treatment of these cases included curettage after UAE (17 cases), curettage after UAE and MTX (13 cases), curettage after MTX only (4 cases), MTX only (4 cases) and others (4 cases). No significant difference was found in the average duration of pregnancy, average reduction of serum level of hCG and the operation time for curettage between the first two management group (P > 0.05). All of the 42 cases fully recovered before discharge and the recovery time of menses was averagely (32 +/- 10) days (10 - 60 days) after curettage and 5 reported reduced menstrual blood volume. Three out of the 42 women were pregnant again during follow-up and 1 delivered by CS at 39 weeks of gestation one year after without any complications or CSP.CONCLUSIONS:CSP is not common and can be easily misdiagnosed and color ultrasound scan is important in its early diagnosis. UAE combined with MTX followed by curettage is an effective treatment of CSP.

Cesarean scar pregnancy - a retrospective analysis of cases in the years 2012-2021

Abstract:Introduction: With the increasing number of caesarean sections, the number of cesarean scar pregnancies (CSP) is also increasing. This is a relatively new entity of an ectopic pregnancy, which is risky mainly because of its possible association with placenta accreta spectrum. CSP is thought to represent about 6% of the total number of ectopic pregnancies in all women who have a history of at least one caesarean section. The estimated incidence of CSP is about 1/1,688 of all pregnancies and about 1/2,000 of all caesarean sections. Material and methods: Retrospective analysis of individual cases of cesarean scar pregnancies managed in our health care facility in the years 2012-2021. Results: In total, we managed 16 cases of pregnancy in the caesarean scar in 15 women. In one woman, we recorded CSP twice. The mean age of the women was 36.6 years (27-41). The mean number of caesarean sections was 1.6 (1-3) and gestational week was 7 (4-10). The average time since the caesarean section was 3.6 years (2-11). The management was methotrexate administration once, hysteroscopic resection once and 11times primarily vacuum aspiration only, when in two cases we had to attach laparoscopic uterine artery ligation due to postoperative bleeding. We performed primary ligature of uterine arteries twice before performing vacuum aspiration. In pregnancies above 10 weeks of gestation, we observed more bleeding complications requiring surgical management. Bleeding complications were also related to the presence of fetal cardiac action. Conclusion: Early correct dia-gnosis is essential in the management of CSP. Pregnancies up to the 10th week of gestation are managed by simple vacuum aspirations under ultrasound guidance. If the pregnancy is over the 10th week of gestation and especially with cardiac activity, we add laparoscopic uterine artery ligation before vacuum aspiration. All patients are subsequently advised to undergo laparoscopic resuturing of the lower uterine segment.

Abstract:Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) refers to a gestational sac implanting at the site of a previous hysterotomy scar. Though the very few epidemiological studies showed a low incidence, it may lead to life threatening complications like placenta accrete, uterine rupture and hemorrhagic shock. Many doctors lack experience and evidence about the diagnosis and management. Color doppler ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imagingare are major tools to make a diagnose in the early stage. Individualized treatment should be managed depending on the different type. Understand the epidemiology of the disease, master the different indications of relevant diagnosis and treatment methods, can make we minimize the patient's risk, achieve a favorable prognosisand preserve fertility. Special efforts are supposed to make on avoiding unindicated cesarean section (CS) delivery and lowering down the rate of CS to reduce the occurrence of CSP. Abstract:Key content Incidence of caesarean scar pregnancy ( CSP ) is increasing because of a rising number of caesarean sections. Prompt diagnosis of the condition is required to reduce associated morbidity. A high index of suspicion is required for women with a suggestive history of CSP . Ultrasound scan is the diagnostic tool of choice. Management options include medical, surgical and interventional radiology. Appropriate patient selection is important for optimal results. Major haemorrhage and hysterectomy are the main risks associated with CSP . Therefore, adequate counselling and availability of surgical expertise and blood transfusion should be part of a comprehensive management strategy. Abstract:A correct management of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is mandatory to avoid further complications. There is no consensus for the standard therapy and the most frequent methods used are not free from failures and sequelae. A 38-year-old woman was admitted referring amenorrhea lasting 9 weeks, pelvic pain, and vaginal bleeding. She had three previous cesarean sections. Transvaginal ultrasound showed a gestational sac of 16 mm in the cervico-isthmic site and inside the thickness of the uterine wall, and the dosage of beta-human chorionic gonadotropin was 12,770 mU/mL. A diagnosis of CSP was done, and an ultrasound-guided removal after uterine artery cervical branch ligation was performed. The follow-up was uneventful. Even if not yet codified in the literature, our therapeutic procedure should be considered in other similar cases in the future, as it potentially limits the possible iatrogenic problems and reduces intraoperative and postoperative bleeding to a minimum.

Abstract:Background: There is no clear consensus on the management of caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP), a complex and life-threatening condition. The objective of this study was to present a novel approach to management of CSP that combines medical therapy of multidose methotrexate and mifepristone with active surgical management by uterine curettage and consecutive local haemostasis. Case presentation: We report on a prospective case series of six women with first trimester pregnancy, in whom the diagnosis of CSP was confirmed by 2D and color Doppler transvaginal ultrasound and serial hormone chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) testing. Women were between 23 and 36 years old and had at least one previous delivery by caesarean. At admission, gestational age ranged between 6 to 14 weeks, and serum hCG levels between 397 and 23,000 mUI/ml. Upon decision of pregnancy termination, medical management was undertaken in all cases and 1 mg/kg systemic Methotrexate was administered between 1 and 5 daily doses. Mifepristone was part of the treatment in cases with live pregnancy. Surgical management was employed for the cases were an embryo was seen by ultrasound, being prompted by inadequate response to Methotrexate and/or signs of miscarriage with vaginal bleeding. Curettage combined with local isthmic balloon or vaginal pack tamponade prevented further complications. High treatment rates with preservation of fertility was achieved in all patients except one who underwent hysterectomy for invasive placentation. Ultrasound and hCG levels surveillance ensured that the resolution of pregnancy was achieved. Conclusion: Women with history of delivery by caesarean section should be carefully monitored in future pregnancies for prompt diagnosis of CSP. Early diagnosis of CSP allows selection of successful conservative therapy. Through this case series we contribute with our experience to the body of knowledge about the management of this serious complication of early pregnancy.
Therapeutic approach for the cesarean scar pregnancy

Abstract:The aim of this study was to explore the pros and cons of different treatments of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).We retrospectively studied 205 cases of CSP that were treated in our hospital from June 2013 to June 2014, 189 of which had surgical operation.The average age of the patients was (32.98 ± 4.56) years. Data from those 189 cases were analyzed.Two hundred five patients from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.One hundred eighty-nine cases who had operative treatment, 111 of which received curettage under hysteroscopy, 70 of which received curettage under ultrasonography, 8 of which received laparoscopic Cesarean scar resection.Management of 189 ectopic Cesarean scar pregnancy cases discussed in this article was usage of methotrexate (MTX) via the utility of uterine arterial chemotherapy embolization (UACE).All of 189 patients were cured without hysterectomy. Hysteroscopy provides a clear view for us, making it easy to identify the range of affected tissues, and clean the pregnancy tissue. Curettage under ultrasonography is relatively simple and inexpensive. Laparoscopic surgery is more suitable for exogenous CSP patients that can reduce the operation risk and prevent uterine perforation. However, laparoscopic surgery costs much more than those 2 and needs longer time of hospitalization.Treatment options should be personalized according to different situations. Minimal invasion, thorough treatment, quick recovery, low risk of hysterectomy, preserved fertility function, and improved life quality are the principles we have been pursuing for.
[Cesarean scar pregnancy: an analysis of 100 cases].

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). METHODS:The clinical data of 100 CSP patients during the period of January 2003 to March 2011 were collected for a retrospective analysis. RESULTS:Among 100 cases of CSP, there were cases of asymptomatic (45%, n = 45), vaginal hemorrhage (55%, n = 55) and lower abdominal pain (7%, n = 7); among first diagnosed (n = 81), the cases were diagnosed (n = 75) or misdiagnosed (n = 6); among 19 hospital referrals, 18 were confirmed and 1 case was misdiagnosed as choriocarcinoma. Treatments included ultrasound monitoring curettage after UAE (uterine artery embolism) (n = 56), pure ultrasound monitoring curettage (n = 30), laparoscopic lumpectomy after UAE (n = 2), laparoscopic lumpectomy (n = 2), methotrexate only (n = 3), hysterectomy (n = 2), UAE hemostasis (n = 3) and Foley catheter balloon compression hemostasis (n = 2). No significant difference was found in the average duration of pregnancy, average operative hemorrhage volume and operative duration between 2 management groups of curettage after UAE or pure curettage (P > 0.05). But sac diameter and serum level of β-HCG were obviously less in the pure curettage group than those in the UAE group. And the distance between gestation sac and bladder significantly was greater than that in the UAE group; in the pure curettage group, 96.7% existed as an endogenous type and only 36.7% yielded small flow signals. One hundred patients recovered before discharge. A follow-up of patients with curettage after UAE (n = 43) and pure curettage (n = 26) had similar recovery of menstruation. Eight cases (4 in each) were pregnant again during the follow-up. One case of recurrent CSP was treated with curettage after methotrexate. CONCLUSION:Early diagnosis and early treatment remain the key for a successful treatment of CSP. Color Doppler ultrasound is important in its early diagnosis and treatment. Different therapeutic modalities may be selected according to specific patient conditions.
Uterine Artery Embolization Combined with Subsequent Suction Evacuation as Low-Risk Treatment for Cesarean Scar Pregnancy

Abstract:Objective: The aim of this study is to propose a standardized management of care for patients diagnosed with cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). There are two types of CSP: Type 1 (on the scar) vs. type 2 (in the niche). To date there is no international standard to predict the extent of invasion or the optimal management of CSP. Materials and methods: We used intramuscular methotrexate injection followed by uterine artery embolization combined with suction evacuation as a conservative approach for the treatment of seven patients diagnosed with CSP. Our inclusion criteria, to be satisfied simultaneously, were established as follows: (1) patients with CSP; (2) early gestational age ≤ 9 weeks, and (3) written consent of the proposed treatment of the patient. Results: This course of treatment produced a positive outcome in all cases. We did not have any complications (e.g., emergency hysterectomy, perforation of the uterine cavity, severe hemorrhage, or endometritis) during the procedures or in the follow-up. The most important predictors of successful management are early diagnosis of CSP and orientation of the invasive trophoblast opposite to the scar. Conclusions: The main finding from this series of cases is that associating systemic methotrexate and uterine artery embolization provides efficient and low-risk management of CSP. This treatment regime is adequate for both types of CSPs. We consider that early localization diagnosis of pregnancy following a cesarean delivery is mandatory for CSP morbidity prevention.

Surgical treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy based on the three-category system: a retrospective analysis

Abstract:Background: Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP), a distinct form of ectopic pregnancy, presents challenges in effective management. It is categorized into three subtypes according to the location of placental implantation and the thickness of the myometrium at the uterine scar. Nevertheless, the optimal choice of treatment modalities for these subtypes remains largely unexamined. Methods: In this retrospective analysis, we investigated the cases of 130 patients diagnosed with CSP who underwent diverse treatment approaches, namely ultrasound-guided dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopic surgery alone or in combination with laparoscopic surgery (HCoLC), or uterine artery embolization (UAE) followed by curettage. Clinical data were meticulously retrieved from medical records and follow-up data, and a comparative analysis of relevant indicators was carried out across the different CSP subtypes. Results: From January 2017 to December 2021, 35 patients underwent D&C, 85 underwent HCoLC, and 10 received UAE as a pretreatment. In the D&C group, the success rates for Type I and Type II CSP were 64.29% (18/28) and 14.28% (1/7), respectively. Significant differences were observed between the success and failure groups in terms of gestational sac size and clinical classification. Compared to Type I CSP, Type II CSP exhibited significantly longer surgical durations and higher hospitalization costs (P < 0.05). Three patients classified as Type III underwent simultaneous hysteroscopic evacuation of cesarean scar pregnancy and laparoscopic repair of the cesarean scar defect, achieving a 100% success rate in their initial treatment. HCoLC showed no significant differences in surgical duration and hospitalization costs but had higher success rates and shorter hospital stays compared to the D&C and UAE groups (P < 0.05). The UAE group had significantly longer surgical durations, higher hospitalization costs, and a higher incidence of postoperative complications (P < 0.05). However, these factors did not result in improved surgical success rates. Conclusion: The classification of CSP and the measurement of gestational sac are of crucial importance in determining the most appropriate surgical intervention strategy. For patients diagnosed with Type I CSP, D&C and hysteroscopy are reliable treatment choices. In cases with larger gestational sacs or Type II CSP, hysteroscopy, either alone or in combination with laparoscopy, is regarded as a reliable and effective treatment approach. In patients with type III CSP, lesion excision with uterine repair is the recommended treatment.

Abstract:Water splitting is of paramount importance for exploiting renewable energy-conversion and -storage systems, but is greatly hindered by the kinetically sluggish oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In this work, a three-dimensional, highly efficient, and durable NiFe/Cu2 O nanowires/Cu foam anode (NiFe/Cu2 O NWs/CF) for water oxidation in 1.0 m KOH was developed. The obtained electrode exhibited a current density of 10 mA cm-2 at a uniquely low overpotential of η=215 mV. The average specific current density (js ) was estimated, on the basis of the electrocatalytically active surface area, to be 0.163 mA cm-2 at η=310 mV. The electrode also displayed a low Tafel slope of 42 mV decade-1 . Moreover, the NiFe/Cu2 O NWs/CF electrode could maintain a steady current density of 100 mA cm-2 for 50 h at an overpotential of η=260 mV. The outstanding electrochemical performance of the electrode for the OER was attributed to the high conductivity of the Cu foam and the specific structure of the electrode with a large interfacial area.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to present a case of a cesarean section ectopic pregnancy (CSP) diagnosed in the second trimester and perform a literature review of current guidelines for the management of CSP in the second trimester. This was exempt from the Mount Sinai IRB. This is a case is of a 35-year-old P1122 at 13w4d who presented to our hospital with vaginal spotting and abdominal pain. The patient was found to have a cesarean section ectopic pregnancy with placenta increta. There are no management guidelines for second trimester CSP, and the published material is minimal. A literature review was completed and demonstrated two cases and one case series published on management of existing literature on management of second trimester CSP. Our patient underwent an uncomplicated total laparoscopic hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy, bilateral ureterolysis, and cystoscopy. She had an uncomplicated postoperative course and was discharged on postoperative day three with an unremarkable recovery at her two-week postoperative visit.
