Abstract:Long-term care (LTC) policy in China is in its infancy, and it is highly decentralised. Where policy structures exist, they are poorly resourced. Although China's demography is still young by developed country standards, it is ageing very rapidly, and by mid-century will have "caught up" with many countries in the developed world with respect to population ageing. LTC policy development, therefore, is becoming a priority in China. We argue that it should be formulated with population ageing as a framework.Policy designs, which take account of and encourage, informal care provision, will be critical to the fiscally sustainable delivery of LTC. In China, informal care is sometimes seen as very scarce because of the one child policy. With only one child, it is argued, there will be less informal care offered than in societies with larger families.This paper uses the recently developed China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) dataset to analyse the current patterns of disability and informal care availability. In particular, and contrary to expectation, we find that fertility change is not the main driver for reducing informal care. Education levels, living standards, urbanization and co-residency are much more important. This suggests that current policy, which targets those with one child families, may be misguided, and also that mechanical extrapolations of future demand for care may be misleading.
Functional Disability and Receipt of Informal Care among Chinese Adults Living Alone with Cognitive Impairment.

Abstract:Background: Adults with cognitive impairment are prone to living alone in large numbers but receive relatively little attention. This study aimed to evaluate whether living alone with cognitive impairment was associated with a higher burden of functional disability but lack of informal care. Methods: 982 observations of adults living alone with cognitive impairment and 50,695 observations of adults living with others and with normal cognition were identified from 4 waves (2011/2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018) of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). A matched comparator was selected using propensity score matching (1:2). Functional disability included disability in Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL), and mobility. The time of receiving informal care was measured in monthly hours. Results: Adults living alone with cognitive impairment demonstrated significantly higher odds ratio of ADL disability (OR = 1.59, 95 % CI: 1.30, 1.95), IADL disability (OR = 1.19, 95 % CI: 1.00, 1.44), mobility disability (OR = 1.38, 95 % CI: 1.12, 1.70), but received fewer hours of informal care (beta = -127.7 h per month, standard error = 25.83, P < 0.001), compared to the adults living with others and with normal cognition. Conclusions: This study highlights the high burden of functional disability but low coverage of informal care among Chinese adults living alone with cognitive impairment and calls for more resources to be allocated to this vulnerable subpopulation to improve the functional health and to increase the provision of long-term care services.

Abstract:Many countries face policy challenges related to the well-being of their aging populations, and China, with the world's largest aging population, is no different. Over the past 40 years, China has experienced demographic transition toward an “aging society.” According to the National Bureau of Statistics in China (NBSC), the number of people aged 60 years and older in China has risen to 185 million, with rural areas aging more rapidly during China's demographic transition (National Bureau of Statistics of China, 2013). In 1982, the proportion of population aged 60 years and older was 7.8% in rural China and 7.1% in urban China. However, by 2011 these proportions had risen to 12.6% and 15.4%, respectively, with a national average of 13.26% (National Bureau of Statistics of China, 2013). Difference between rural and urban areas in the proportion of the population aged 65 years and older in China has shown a similar trend over time. Rapid economic reforms since the 1980s, associated with increased rural-to-urban migration, especially the outflow of rural young population, have resulted in a larger proportion of elderly adults in rural areas (Cai et al ., 2012; National Bureau of Statistics of China, 2013). These same social forces have resulted in relatively fewer people available to take care of the growing population of older adults as well. The “elderly dependency ratio” (the ratio of older adults in China to those in the population of working age) has increased from 8.0% in 1982 to 12.7% in 2012 (National Bureau of Statistics of China, 2013). The economic and social impact on caregiving will be profound.
Dementia Care in Rural China.

Abstract:Dementia is a major cause of disability and has immense cost implications for the individual suffering from the condition, family caregivers and society. Given the high prevalence of dementia in China with its enormous and rapidly expanding population of elderly adults, it is necessary to develop and test approaches to the care for patients with this disorder. The need is especially great in rural China where access to mental healthcare is limited, with the task made more complex by social and economic reforms over the last 30 years that have transformed the Chinese family support system, family values and health delivery systems. Evidence-based collaborative care models for dementia, depression and other chronic diseases that have been developed in some Western countries serve as a basis for discussion of innovative approaches in the management of dementia in rural China, with particular focus on its implementation in the primary care system.
Comparative Analysis of Gender and Age Patterns in Informal Care Received among Disabled Older Adults: A Cross-National Study across the United States, Mexico, China, and Indonesia

Abstract:This paper examines cross-national differences by gender and age in receipt and sources of help for limitations with activities of daily living or instrumental activities of daily living among older adults in the United States, Mexico, China, and Indonesia. Respondents aged 50 + from the Health and Retirement Study, Mexican Health and Aging Study, China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, and Indonesia Family Life Survey are included. Descriptive methods, logistic and multinomial regression analyses are used to examine patterns in any help received and main source of help respectively. After controlling for age, marital status, and co-residence with child(ren), it is found that men in all four countries overwhelmingly relied on their spouse for care, while children are more likely to be the main source of care for women. Children as the main source of care increased with age in each country and among men and women, surpassing spouse in China and Indonesia, and to a lesser extent in Mexico, but not in the United States where spouse was found to be more likely to be main caregiver even among the oldest age groups. Caregiving for the disabled is important for the well-being of the care recipient and for caregivers. Our results shed light on the asymmetric burden of caregiving on female spouses, across four diverse and aging countries.

Abstract:OBJECTIVES:This study compares patterns of gender difference in the receipt of informal care among community-dwelling older adults across the United States, Korea, and China where family-oriented systems for providing care to older adults are emphasized.METHOD:Data came from the 2014 Health and Retirement Study, the 2014 Korea Longitudinal Study of Aging, and the 2015 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. Logistic regression models were used to predict the receipt of informal care by gender. We also examined how the effects of health and living arrangement on the receipt of informal care differ depending on gender.RESULTS:In the United States and China, older women were more likely to receive informal care than men. However, older Korean women were less likely to receive informal care than men. The effects of health and living arrangement on the use of informal care were moderated by gender in different ways across countries.DISCUSSION:This study provides evidence that patterns of gender differences in the receipt of informal care vary across the three countries. More attention needs to be paid to the design and implementation of long-term supports and services to address the unique patterns of gender difference in care arrangement in each country.

Abstract:Background Rapid demographic ageing will soon lead to large increases in the numbers of persons with dementia in developing countries. This study is the first comprehensive assessment of care arrangements for people with dementia in those regions.Methods A descriptive and comparative study of dementia care; caregiver characteristics, the nature of care provided, and the practical, psychological (Zarit Burden Interview, General Health Questionnaire) and economic impact upon the caregiver in 24 centres in India, China and South East Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa.Results We interviewed 706 persons with dementia, and their caregivers. Most caregivers were women, living with the person with dementia in extended family households. One-quarter to one-half of households included a child. Larger households were associated with lower caregiver strain, where the caregiver was co-resident. However, despite the traditional apparatus of family care, levels of caregiver strain were at least as high as in the developed world. Many had cutback on work to care and faced the additional expense of paid carers and health services. Families from the poorest countries were particularly likely to have used expensive private medical services, and to be spending more than 10% of the per capita GNP on health care.Conclusions Older people in developing countries are indivisible from their younger family members. The high levels of family strain identified in this study feed into the cycle of disadvantage and should thus be a concern for policymakers in the developing world. Abstract:Abstract Background: Older people worldwide are living with chronic health problems, of whom 80% were from low and middle-income countries. Caregiver stress is a complex interplay of health and socio-economic factors with older caregivers, however, the effects of caregiver age upon their mental health have not been well-described. This study aimed to examine whether caregiver age predicts their mental health outcomes in terms of psychological morbidity and care burden in Latin America and China. Methods: The present study was based from cross-sectional baseline data of seven low and middle-income countries including; Cuba, Dominican Republic, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, China, and Puerto Rico, collected between February 2003 and June 2009 by the 10/66 Dementia Research Group. Data from 1348 households where the caregiver provided care for one older person in the household were included in the current analysis. Psychological morbidity was assessed through the Self-Reporting Questionnaire. The Zarit Burden Inventory was used to measure the levels of care burden of caregivers. Multivariate logistic regression was used to investigate the effects of caregiver age upon psychological morbidity and care burden. Meta-analysis was performed to obtain pooled estimating one overall odd ratios and 95% confidence intervals of the analyses from the different countries, using the inverse-variance weighted fixed-effect method. Results: The prevalence of the household with older caregivers is almost the same level as of the households with younger caregivers in Puerto Rico and China. The models unadjusted and adjusted for all potential covariates (household size, number of household asset, caregiver sex, caregiver marital status, caregiver education, cognitive impairment of older person, functional dependency of older person, behavioral problem of older person, and caregiving hours) showed that there was no statistically significant difference in psychological morbidity and care burden between older caregivers and non-older caregivers across countries. The Adjusted pooled estimates, however, indicated lower psychological morbidity among older caregivers (OR = 0.61, 95%CI: 0.41–0.93, I 2 = 0.0%). Conclusions: Older caregivers are at lower risk of mental health problem than younger caregivers. This information may help to provide a greater understanding for service support, policy makers and health care providers.
A Cohort Study of the Effects of Older Adult Care Dependence Upon Household Economic Functioning, in Peru, Mexico and China

Abstract:Background While links between disability and poverty are well established, there have been few longitudinal studies to clarify direction of causality, particularly among older adults in low and middle income countries. We aimed to study the effect of care dependence among older adult residents on the economic functioning of their households, in catchment area survey sites in Peru, Mexico and China. Methods Households were classified from the evolution of the needs for care of older residents, over two previous community surveys, as 'incident care', 'chronic care' or 'no care', and followed up three years later to ascertain economic outcomes (household income, consumption, economic strain, satisfaction with economic circumstances, healthcare expenditure and residents giving up work or education to care). Results Household income did not differ between household groups. However, income from paid work (Pooled Count Ratio pCR 0.88, 95% CI 0.78-1.00) and government transfers (pCR 0.80, 95% CI 0.69-0.93) were lower in care households. Consumption was 12% lower in chronic care households (pCR 0.88, 95% CI 0.77-0.99). Household healthcare expenditure was higher (pCR 1.55, 95% CI 1.26-1.90), and catastrophic healthcare spending more common (pRR 1.64, 95% CI 1.64-2.22) in care households. Conclusions While endogeneity cannot be confidently excluded as an explanation for the findings, this study indicates that older people's needs for care have a discernable impact on household economics, controlling for baseline indicators of long-term economic status. Although living, typically, in multigenerational family units, older people have not featured prominently in global health and development agendas. Population ageing will rapidly increase the number of households where older people live, and their societal significance. Building sustainable long-term care systems for the future will require some combination of improved income security in old age; incentivisation of informal care through compensation for direct and opportunity costs; and development of community care services to support, and, where necessary, supplement or substitute the central role of informal caregivers.

Abstract:Abstract A large proportion of older adults in China needs assistance with activities of daily living (ADL). The quality of care for this population has gained growing attention. However, little is known about the patterns of their caregiver type or its association with mortality. We examined the patterns of primary caregiver type among community-dwelling older adults in China and to examine the association between caregiver type and mortality. Data were from the 2005, 2008, and 2011 waves of the China Longitudinal Health and Longevity Study. We included 437 married and 3,971 widowed participants. The average age was 96.7 years (SD=6.9) and 73.7% were female. For married persons, 55.1%, 25.2%, 12.1%, 2.3%, and 3.9% of the primary caregiver was spouse, son/daughter-in-law, daughter/son-in-law, grandchildren, and housekeeper. For widowed persons, 60.2%, 21.1%, 9.9%, and 5.9% of the primary caregiver was son/daughter-in-law, daughter/son-in-law, grandchildren, and housekeeper, respectively. Multivariable-adjusted model showed that, among married older adults, son/daughter-in-law and daughter/son-in-law as the primary caregiver was associated with 41% (95% confidence interval [CI]=6%-87%) and 67% (95%CI=10%-154%) higher mortality than spouse as the primary caregiver, respectively. For widowed persons, daughter/son-in-law and grandchildren as the primary caregiver was associated with 12% (95%CI=3%-20%) and 14% (95%CI=2%-24%) lower mortality than son/daughter-in-law as the primary caregiver, respectively. Majority of disabled older adults in China relied on their spouse and children to care for them. Type of primary caregiver was associated with death in both married and widowed persons. More resources need to be allocated to disabled Chinese older adults with poor survival outcomes.
Rural-Urban Differences in the Long-Term Care of the Disabled Elderly in China

Abstract:In China, the rapid rate of population aging and changes in the prevalence of disability among elderly people could have significant effects on the demand for long-term care. This study aims to describe the urban-rural differences in use and cost of long-term care of the disabled elderly and to explore potential influencing factors.This study uses data from a cross-sectional survey and a qualitative investigation conducted in Zhejiang province in 2012. The participants were 826 individuals over 60 years of age, who had been bedridden or suffered from dementia for more than 6 months. A generalized linear model and two-part regression model were applied to estimate costs, with adjustment of covariates.Pensions provide the main source of income for urban elderly, while the principal income source for rural elderly is their family. Urban residents spend more on all services than do rural residents. Those who are married spend less on daily supplies and formal care than the unmarried do. Age, incapacitation time, comorbidity number, level of income, and bedridden status influence spending on medical care (β=-0.0316, -0.0206, 0.1882, 0.3444, and -0.4281, respectively), but the cost does not increase as the elderly grow older. Urban residents, the married, and those with a higher income level tend to spend more on medical equipment. Urban residence and living status are the two significant factors that affect spending on personal hygiene products.The use of long-term care services varies by living area. Long-term care of the disabled elderly imposes a substantial burden on families. Our study revealed that informal care involves huge opportunity costs to the caregivers. Chinese policy makers need to promote community care and long-term care insurance to relieve the burden of families of disabled elderly, and particular attention should be given to the rural elderly.

Abstract:Cognitive aging is a highly complex, dynamic, and context-dependent process; and is influenced by individual and community characteristics and experiences across the life course. Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are critical components of the international dementia research community because the burden of dementia is rapidly rising in LMICs, and low-resource settings may have unique social and economic determinants of cognitive health. However, little population-based research focuses on these regions. The papers in this symposium use high-quality population survey data from Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and China to study critical social determinants of cognitive function in countries across the globe. These papers cover a range of social and economic factors, including food insecurity, education, household material resources, and urban-rural settings and policy. First, Saenz will present findings on how food insecurity, throughout life, relates with cognitive function among older Mexican adults. Next, Farina will present evidence on both indirect and direct pathways from education to cognitive function among older Brazilians. Third, Kobayashi will present longitudinal data evaluating level and change in household resources in relation to subsequent cognitive function in South Africa. Finally, Zhang will present evidence on the interplay of rural/urban residence and household registration system across the life-course in creating cumulative advantage/disadvantage in cognitive aging using longitudinal data from China. The papers in this symposium provide new insights into social determinants of cognitive health in diverse contexts and have significant policy implications for improving cognitive health in LMICs across the globe.
Caregiving, care burden and awareness of caregivers and patients with dementia in Asian locations: a secondary analysis

Abstract:Abstract Background This study investigated the differences in caregiver activity, caregiver burden, and awareness of both caregivers and patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) across different Asian locations. Methods This was a secondary analysis of a multi-national cohort study that aimed to assess caregiver activity and caregiver burden using the Caregiver Activity Scale (CAS) and Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI), respectively. Patients’ awareness of their dementia diagnosis was assessed by asking the following yes/no question: “Do you have dementia?” Caregivers’ awareness of the patient’s dementia diagnosis was assessed by asking the following yes/no question: “Does your patient have dementia?” Results In total, 524 caregivers of patients with AD from China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan participated. The CAS and ZBI score were significantly different across most locations ( p < 0.001 and p = 0.033, respectively). Overall, 56.6% of caregivers and 37.5% of patients had awareness of the dementia diagnosis, and the proportion of patients and caregivers with awareness were also different between each location (all, p < 0.001). Conclusions Caregiving, caregiver burden, and the awareness of caregivers and patients were different across many Asian locations. With understanding of cultural differences, further public education on dementia could help increase the awareness of patients and caregivers and reduce caregiver burden. Abstract:Objectives Due to substantial regional variability in available caregiving services and supports, culture and health status among informal caregivers in the USA, the study objective was to explore how rural-urban differences in aspects of caregiving—caregiving intensity, distance to care recipient, caregiver burden, caregiver health and caregiving support—vary by US Census region (Northeast, South, Midwest and West) after accounting for other social determinants of health. Design This study was a secondary analysis of multiwave, cross-sectional study data. Setting The data were collected on a representative sample of informal, unpaid caregivers to older adults. Participants A sample of n=3551 informal caregivers from the National Study of Caregiving identified by older adult care recipients from waves 1 (2011) and 5 (2015) of the National Health and Aging Trends Study. Primary and secondary outcome measures Primary outcome measures were caregiving intensity (provided support for/with the number of activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADL (IADLs)) caregiver assisted with, hours of caregiving per month), caregiver burden (physical, emotional and financial), support services sought (types and total number), caregivers' self-reported health and health status (individual comorbidities and a total number of comorbidities). Analyses were stratified by US Census region and rural-urban status, as defined by the US Census Bureau, of census tract of caregiver residence. Results Urban caregivers provided higher levels of ADL support in the Northeast (beta=0.19, 95% CI 0.03, 0.35) and West (beta=0.15, 95% CI 0.05,0.26) regions. Urban caregivers provided significantly higher levels of ADL support (p=0.020), IADL support (p=0.033) and total ADLs plus IADLs (p=0.013) than rural caregivers. Caregivers living in the South had higher amounts of monthly hours spent caregiving, ADL support, IADL support and combined ADLs plus IADLs and were more likely to have obesity, report poor or fair health, have heart conditions and experience emotional difficulty from caregiving (all p<0.001). Conclusions Study findings underscore caregiving's multifaceted and complex nature and identify important urban-rural and regional differences in caregiving in the USA. Healthcare providers and healthcare organisations can have an important role in identifying and mitigating the negative impacts of caregiving on caregivers' overall health. Interventions and support should be tailored to caregivers' demographic backgrounds, addressing regional differences.

Abstract:Background Many Americans are informal caregivers providing unpaid care for their loved ones living with chronic conditions, such as dementia and heart failure. As the US population continues to age and live longer with more complex chronic conditions, informal caregivers play an increasingly important role in the care of older adults with functional impairment and multiple comorbidities. Caregivers face many challenges in managing the health of themselves and their loved ones, including physical, emotional, and financial burdens, which may potentially vary by race and ethnicity. Therefore, it is critical to develop culturally tailored solutions, such as smart technology, aimed at improving the quality of life of informal caregivers and care recipients from diverse backgrounds. Methods Data were collected from a convenient sample of 69 informal caregivers in Texas who were members or volunteers for either the International Buddhist Progress Society-Dallas (IBPS Dallas) or University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Caregivers answered questions about their caregiving experiences, including the type of care they provided, challenges they faced, and lessons learned. Responses were stratified by race/ethnicity (White, Hispanic, or Asian American) to assess for potential cultural differences in caregiving experiences. A chi-squared test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were conducted. Results White, Hispanic, and Asian American caregivers all reported high non-medical related needs. White, Hispanic, and Asian American care recipients all had a high degree of neurological disease and functional impairment. White and Hispanic caregivers were also more likely to offer emotional support (p=0.007) and financial support (p=0.025) than Asian American caregivers. Asian American caregivers reported greater worry about the health-related knowledge of their family members (p=0.040) than White and Hispanic caregivers. Hispanic (18.8%) and Asian American caregivers (12.5%) reported the least knowledge of caregiving-related government policies than White caregivers (43.2%) (p=0.025). Hispanic (18.8%) and Asian American caregivers (18.8%) also reported the least knowledge of available support programs and services for care recipients (p=0.001). Conclusions White, Hispanic, and Asian American informal caregivers vary in their types of worries, care provided, and challenges faced. Our study found that Asian American caregivers reported greater worry about the health-related knowledge of their family members than White and Hispanic caregivers. White caregivers were better at navigating government resources and caregiver support programs than Hispanic and Asian American caregivers. While race and ethnicity are potential factors for these observed differences, several other factors may have played a role, including age, gender, income, education, patient diagnosis, and disease severity. Future research should consider these factors and evaluate a larger and more diverse sample for more definitive racial and ethnic comparisons. Understanding disparities in caregiving experiences is a critical initial step to developing culturally appropriate interventions to reduce caregiving burden and promote the health and well-being of both patients and their informal caregivers from diverse backgrounds.
Caregiving: a risk factor of poor health and depression among informal caregivers in India- A comparative analysis

Abstract:Abstract Background In an ageing society, the provision of long-term care is the prime need. In Indian cultural setting, family members are the informal, albeit primary caregivers to the elderly. Caregiving demands intense emotional and financial involvement. While taking care of elderly persons’ health and wellbeing, these family members, acting as informal caregivers, may themselves become vulnerable to poor health due to additional stress and burden. Using a nationally representative survey, the study tried to identify how health condition varies within caregivers and a comparative analysis of how in similar socio-economic background health condition varies between caregivers and non-caregivers. Method The data, used for the analysis, is taken from Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI), Wave I. Both descriptive and multivariable regression analysis are done in different models along with interaction effect of caregiving to understand the difference in health status between caregiver and non-caregivers. Results Nearly 29% and 11% of the informal caregivers, reported to have depressive symptoms and poor self-rated health (SRH), respectively. Almost half of the caregivers, who provide care for more than 40 h a week, are diagnosed to have depressive symptoms. They are also at higher risk of having depressive symptoms (AOR 1.59 CI 1.16–2.18) and poor SRH (AOR 1.73 CI 1.11–2.69) than those who invest less than 40 h in a week. In almost every socio-economic condition, caregivers are at a higher risk of having depression and poor health than non-caregivers. Caregivers, who are widowed, live in rural areas or are not satisfied with current living arrangement are more vulnerable to have depressive symptoms. On the other hand, caregivers of age 45–59 years, widowed, male and who live only with their children with spouse absent, have almost 2 times higher odds of poor SRH than non-caregivers. Conclusion Caregivers are more susceptible to depression and poor self-rated health compared to non-caregivers irrespective of their socio-economic characteristics, only the magnitude of vulnerability varies.

Abstract:Background: The significant increase in Alzheimer's disease and related dementia prevalence is a global health crisis, acutely impacting low- and lower-middle and upper-middle-income countries (LLMICs/UMICs). Objective: The objective of this study is to identify key barriers and gaps in dementia care and research in LLMICs and UMICs. Methods: We conducted an international, cross-sectional survey among clinicians and healthcare professionals (n = 249 in 34 countries) across LLMICs and UMICs, exploring patient demographics, use of clinical diagnosis, dementia evaluation, screening/evaluation tools, and care and treatment. Results: Significant disparities were found in diagnostic practices, access to assessments, and access to care. On average, clinicians in LLMICs saw more patients, had less time for evaluations, lower use of formal screening and tools, and less access to biomarkers. They were also under-resourced compared to UMICs. Conclusions: The findings provide insights for policymakers, healthcare organizations, and researchers to address the complex challenges associated with dementia care in diverse settings. Addressing these challenges requires a multipronged approach involving local, national, and international stakeholders.

Abstract:Background The increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has emerged as a major challenge worldwide. China as the most populous country in the globe is amid rapid aging of its population, highlighting the need for appropriate social and medical policies to meet the challenge. The current multicenter cross-sectional observational study aims to provide understanding of the current status of caring given to AD patients in China and investigate the factors that influence the family burden as well as the choice of care given to AD patients. Methods A total of 1,675 patients with probable AD from 30 provincial regions of mainland China were enrolled in the current study from August 2019 to December 2019. We analyzed the caregiving status and its relationship with family burden and various socio-economical and medical factors. Results In the current study, 90.87% of the AD patients enrolled adopted family care. The choice of caregiving method was influenced by factors including age (>80 years old, OR 0.648; 95% CI, 0.427–0.983), overall family burden (high, OR 0.574; 95% CI, 0.0.373–0.884), patients’ income (OR 0.511; 95% CI, 0.330–0.789) and self-care ability (OR 0.329; 95% CI, 0.183–0.588). Conclusion Family care is the primary method of care for AD patients in China and the institutional care system for AD patients is still underprepared in China.
