Abstract:In this work we introduce two different generalizations of the Fokker-Planck equation in (1+1) dimensions by replacing the spatial derivatives in terms of generalized Dunkl-type derivatives involving reflection operators. As applications of these results, we solve exactly the generalized Fokker-Planck equations for the harmonic oscillator and the centrifugal-type potentials.

Abstract:Under investigation in this paper is the variable coefficient nonlocal Fokas–Lenells equation. On the basis of the Lax pair, the infinitely-many conservation laws and N th-fold Darboux transformation are constructed. Depending on zero seed solution, soliton solutions are derived via the Darboux transformation. Based on nonzero seed solution, breather solutions and rogue wave solutions are obtained. The behaviors of solutions are clearly analyzed graphically. The influences of variable coefficient for solutions are discussed. The different profiles of solitons, breathers and rogue waves are observed via selecting different variable coefficients. Furthermore, the interaction of solitons and the interaction of breathers for the variable coefficient nonlocal Fokas–Lenells equation are both elastic.

Abstract:Under investigation is an integrable generalization of the Fokas–Lenells equation, which can be derived from the negative power flow of a 2 × 2 matrix spectral problem with three potentials. Based on the gauge transformation of the matrix spectral problem, one kind of Darboux transformation with multi-parameters for the three-component coupled Fokas–Lenells system is constructed. As a reduction, the N-fold Darboux transformation for the generalized Fokas–Lenells equation is obtained, from which the N-soliton solution in a compact Vandermonde-like determinant form are given. Particularly, the explicit one- and two-soliton solutions are presented and their dynamical behaviors are shown graphically.

Abstract:We study the long-time asymptotic behavior of the focusing Fokas-Lenells (FL) equationuxt+αβ2u−2iαβux−αuxx−iαβ2|u|2ux=0 with generic initial data in a Sobolev space which supports bright soliton solutions. The FL equation is an integrable generalization of the well-known Schrodinger equation, and also linked to the derivative Schrodinger model, but it exhibits several different characteristics from theirs. (i) The Lax pair of the FL equation involves an additional spectral singularity at k=0. (ii) Four stationary phase points will appear during asymptotic analysis, which require a more detailed necessary description to obtain the long-time asymptotics of the focusing FL equation. Based on the Riemann-Hilbert problem for the initial value problem of the focusing FL equation, we show that inside any fixed time-spatial coneC(x1,x2,v1,v2)={(x,t)∈R2|x=x0+vt,x0∈[x1,x2],v∈[v1,v2]}, the long-time asymptotic behavior of the solution u(x,t) for the focusing FL equation can be characterized with an N(I)-soliton on discrete spectrums and a leading order term O(t−1/2) on continuous spectrum up to a residual error order O(t−3/4). The main tool is a ∂‾-generalization of the Deift-Zhou nonlinear steepest descent method.

Abstract:In this paper, the stable analytical solutions' accuracy of the nonlinear fractional nonlinear time–space telegraph (FNLTST) equation is investigated along with applying the trigonometric-quantic-B-spline (TQBS) method. This investigation depends on using the obtained analytical solutions to get the initial and boundary conditions that allow applying the numerical scheme in an easy and smooth way. Additionally, this paper aims to investigate the accuracy of the obtained analytical solutions after checking their stable property through using the properties of the Hamiltonian system. The considered model for this study is formulated by Oliver Heaviside in 1880 to define the advanced or voltage spectrum of electrified transmission, with day-to-day distances from the electrified communication or the application of electromagnetic waves. The matching between the analytical and numerical solutions is explained by some distinct sketches such as two-dimensional, scatter matrix, distribution, spline connected, bar normal, filling with two colors plots.

Abstract:In this study, the solitary wave solutions of the complex nonlinear perturbed Fokas–Lenells (pFL) equation by implementing the Khater II method. The nonlinear pFL model’s soliton wave solutions describe the propagation of light pulses in the femtosecond or sub–picosecond range. These waves are used in recent electronic communications such as Twitter comments, Facebook communication, and Internet blogs. The model perturbation terms are also used to describe the soliton cooling of the observed phenomena. In contrast, the stochastic perturbation terms analyze the related Langevin equations to get the mean free velocity of the soliton. The accuracy of the obtained computational solutions is checked by employing the Adomian decomposition method. The quasi-monochromatic soliton wave solutions are represented in some distinct graphs. The implemented schemes’ performance shows their powerful, effective, direct ability to handle many nonlinear evolution equations.

Abstract:Many mathematical models describe the optical solitons propagation through optical fibers such as nonlinear Schrödinger's equation. In this work, we study the generalized derivative resonant nonlinear Schrödinger equation that encompasses cubic–quintic nonlinearity. Studying is conducted by implementing the improved modified extended tanh-function method which denotes various types of solutions. These solutions including bright solitons, dark solitons, triangular solutions, hyperbolic solutions, Jacobi elliptic functions solutions, exponential solutions and Weierstrass elliptic doubly periodic solutions. The extracted solutions confirmed the efficacy and strength of the current technique. To illustrate the physical characteristics of the established solutions, some selected solutions are visually depicted.

Abstract:To study the motion of microscopic particles, the Fokas–Lenells model is a completely integrable equation that describes the profile of light pulses propagating through nonlinear mono-mode optical fibers. Moreover, the suggested equation has wide applications in geophysics, sound wave propagation in nonhomogeneous media, fluid mechanics, and mathematical modeling of various phenomena, such as traffic flow, financial market, etc. This study computes several inclusive and standard optical soliton solutions to the space–time fractional Fokas–Lenells equation in the beta derivative sense using the reputed -expansion approach. Furthermore, for different values of fractional orders, we analyze the impact of fractional derivative through two- and three-dimensional graphical representations of the solitons. The stated approach determines the analytical soliton solutions with geometric shapes, like kink, periodic soliton, bell-shaped, kink-periodic, V-shaped, and some other solitons to the Fokas–Lenells equation. The obtained solutions are compared with former solutions, which demonstrate the competence of the chosen approach in providing apposite solutions.

Generalized Tanh Method with Symbolic Computation and Its Applications to Some Special Types of Equations

Abstract:A generalized tanh method for finding multiple travelling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs) is proposed and implemented in a computer algebraic system. The key idea of this method is to take full advantages of a Riccati equation involving a parameter and use its solutions to replace the tanh-function in the tanh method. It is quite interesting that the sign of the parameter can be used to exactly judge the numbers and types of such travelling wave solutions. In this way we can successfully recover the previously known solitary wave solutions that had been found by the tanh method. More importantly, for some equations. with no extra effect we also pick up other new and more general types of solutions at the same time. In addition, we further extend the generalized tanh method to some special types of equations, such as complex coupled MKdV equation, coupled Schrodinger-Boussinesq equation and generalized Fisher equation. These equations have not tanh-polynomial solutions and cannot be dealt with directly by tanh method.

Abstract:This paper studies reverse space and/or time nonlocal Fokas–Lenells (FL) equation, which describes the propagation of nonlinear light pulses in monomode optical fibers when certain higher-order nonlinear effects are considered, by Hirota bilinear method. Firstly, we construct variable transformations from reverse space nonlocal FL equation to reverse time and reverse space-time nonlocal FL equations. Secondly, the multisoliton and quasi-periodic solutions of the reverse space nonlocal FL equation are derived through Hirota bilinear method, and the soliton solutions of reverse time and reverse space-time nonlocal FL equations are given through variable transformations. Also, dynamical behaviors of the multisoliton solutions are discussed in detail by analyzing their wave structures. Thirdly, asymptotic analysis of two- and three-soliton solutions of reverse space nonlocal FL equation is used to investigate the elastic interaction and inelastic interaction. Finally, the infinite conservation laws of three types of nonlocal FL equations are found by using their lax pairs. The results obtained in this paper possess new properties that different from the ones for FL equation, which are useful in exploring novel physical phenomena of nonlocal systems in nonlinear media.

Abstract:We construct one soliton solutions for the nonlinear Schroedinger equation with variable quadratic Hamiltonians in a unified form by taking advantage of a complete (super) integrability of generalized harmonic oscillators. The soliton wave evolution in external fields with variable quadratic potentials is totally determined by the linear problem, like motion of a classical particle with acceleration, and the (self-similar) soliton shape is due to a subtle balance between the linear Hamiltonian (dispersion and potential) and nonlinearity in the Schroedinger equation by the standards of soliton theory. Most linear (hypergeometric, Bessel) and a few nonlinear (Jacobian elliptic, second Painleve transcendental) classical special functions of mathematical physics are linked together through these solutions, thus providing a variety of nonlinear integrable cases. Examples include bright and dark solitons, and Jacobi elliptic and second Painleve transcendental solutions for several variable Hamiltonians that are important for current research in nonlinear optics and Bose-Einstein condensation. The Feshbach resonance matter wave soliton management is briefly discussed from this new perspective.

Abstract:Considering certain terms of the next asymptotic order beyond the nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLS) equation, the Fokas-Lenells (FL) equation governed by the FL system arise as a model for nonlinear pulse propagation in optical fibers. The expressions of the q[n] and r[n] in the FL system are generated by n-fold Darboux transformation (DT). Further, a Taylor series expansion about the n-order breather solutions q[n] generated using DT by assuming periodic seed solutions under reduction can generate the n-order rogue waves of the FL equation explicitly with 2n+3 free parameters.

Abstract:The research objective of this paper is to improve the exp( − φ ( ξ )) expansion method and its application, and some novel D'Alembert wave solutions are derived by applying the Ansӓtze method. A (3 + 1)-dimensional generalized Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff equation is used as the research model. With the help of the Ansӓtze method, some new types of D'Alembert wave solutions are derived, such as interaction solutions composed of W -shaped solutions and half periodic wave solutions, envelope solution, and the molecule consisting of kink and antikink. In addition, based on the exp(− φ ( ξ )) expansion method, a novel method called the multiple exp(− φ ( ξ )) expansion method is proposed to construct multiple solitary wave solutions and mixed periodic wave solutions, as well as complexiton solutions composed of hyperbolic functions, trigonometric functions, exponential functions, and rational functions. Furthermore, these complexiton solutions can explain new interaction phenomenas of nonlinear waves, such as the propagation of bright (dark) solitary waves on periodic wave background, as well as the evolution of bright–dark solitary waves. Therefore, compared to traveling wave solutions and periodic wave solutions derived from exp(− φ ( ξ )) expansion method, the complexiton solution obtained in this paper can interpret the interactions between various parts of nonlinear systems more effectively, which helps people better understand the inherent laws in natural science.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate a generalized (4 + 1)-dimensional variable-coefficient Fokas equation for the shallow water waves. Through the truncated Painlevé expansion, we give the auto-Bäcklund transformations. Based on the Hirota method, we get the two-soliton solutions. With different choices of certain variable coefficients, we observe some phenomena of the two solitons. We obtain the ring-type and periodic-type two solitons. In addition, we derive the resonant two solitons with the linear, hyperbolic, and periodic types.

Integrability properties and multi-kink solutions of a generalised Fokker-Planck equation

Abstract:We analyse a generalised Fokker-Planck equation by making essential use of its linearisability through a Cole-Hopf transformation. We determine solutions of travelling wave and multi-kink type by resorting to a geometric construction in the regime of small viscosity. The resulting asymptotic solutions are time-dependent Heaviside step functions representing classical (viscous) shock waves. As a result, line segments in the space of independent variables arise as resonance conditions of exponentials and represent shock trajectories. We then discuss fusion and fission dynamics exhibited by the multi-kinks by drawing parallels in terms of shock collisions and scattering processes between particles, which preserve total mass and momentum. Finally, we propose Bäcklund transformations and examine their action on the solutions to the equation under study.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence of global solutions in H3(R)∩H2,1(R) to the Fokas-Lenells (FL) equation on the line when the initial data includes solitons. A key tool in proving this result is a newly modified Darboux transformation, which adds or subtracts a soliton with given spectral and scattering parameters. In this way the inverse scattering transform technique is then applied to establish the global well-posedness of initial value problem with a finite number of solitons based on our previous results on the global well-posedness of the FL equation.
