Abstract:A UV–Vis spectrophotometric method enhanced by chemometric techniques, specifically Principal Component Regression (PCR) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression, was developed and validated for the simultaneous quantification of prasugrel (PRA) and aspirin (ASP) in bulk drugs and pharmaceutical formulations. The method demonstrated high accuracy, precision, and robustness, achieving mean recoveries of 100.63% for PRA and 100.08% for ASP with relative standard deviations (RSD) below 3%. Both PCR and PLS models showed excellent predictive capabilities, with RMSEP values of 0.45–0.48 for PRA and 0.78–1.13 for ASP, indicating the models' reliability. In line with green and white chemistry principles, the method minimizes environmental impact by reducing solvent consumption and waste generation compared to traditional chromatographic methods. The Analytical Eco-Scale score was 84, reflecting excellent compliance with green chemistry standards. The method's simplicity, low energy consumption, and reduced chemical waste further support its alignment with sustainability goals. However, acetonitrile, a hazardous solvent, was still used in small quantities, and solvent recycling was not implemented, slightly affecting the eco-score. To evaluate the method's greenness, the RGB12 algorithm was applied, achieving a high score of 94.4%, with the majority of parameters related to reagent consumption, waste production, energy efficiency, and safety scoring optimally. The method's safety, cost-effectiveness, and minimal environmental footprint make it suitable for routine pharmaceutical analysis, particularly in quality control environments where resource efficiency and sustainability are prioritized. Thus, the developed method offers a sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for the simultaneous analysis of prasugrel and aspirin in pharmaceutical formulations, making it a valuable tool for routine analysis in the pharmaceutical industry.

Abstract:A multivariate spectrophotometric method is a potential approach that enables discrimination of spectra of components in complex matrices (e.g., pharmaceutical formulation) serving as a substitution method for chromatography. Four green smart multivariate spectrophotometric models were proposed and validated, including principal component regression (PCR), partial least-squares (PLS), multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares (MCR-ALS), and artificial neural networks (ANN). The developed chemometric models were compared to resolve highly overlapping spectra of Paracetamol (PARA), Chlorpheniramine maleate (CPM), Caffeine (CAF), and Ascorbic acid (ASC). The four multivariate calibration models were assessed via recoveries percent, and root mean square error of prediction. Hence, the proposed models were efficiently applied with no need for any preliminary separation step. The models were utilized to analyze the studied components in their combined pharmaceutical formulation (Grippostad® C capsules). Analytical GREEnness Metric Approach (AGREE) and eco-scale tools were applied to assess the greenness of the established models and found to be 0.77 and 85, respectively. Moreover, the proposed models have been compared to official ones showing no considerable variations in accuracy and precision. Therefore, these models can be highly advantageous for conducting standard pharmaceutical analysis of the substances researched within product testing laboratories.

Abstract:Montelukast sodium (MLK) and Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (LCZ) are widely prescribed medications with promising therapeutic potential against COVID-19. However, existing analytical methods for their quantification are unsustainable, relying on toxic solvents and expensive instrumentation. Herein, we pioneer a green, cost-effective chemometrics approach for MLK and LCZ analysis using UV spectroscopy and intelligent multivariate calibration. Following a multilevel multifactor experimental design, UV spectral data was acquired for 25 synthetic mixtures and modeled via classical least squares (CLS), principal component regression (PCR), partial least squares (PLS), and genetic algorithm-PLS (GA-PLS) techniques. Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) strategically constructed an optimal validation set of 13 mixtures for unbiased predictive performance assessment. Following optimization of the models regarding latent variables (LVs) and wavelength region, the optimum root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) was attained at 2 LVs for the 210–400 nm spectral range (191 data points). The GA-PLS model demonstrated superb accuracy, with recovery percentages (R%) from 98 to 102% for both analytes, and root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) and prediction (RMSEP) of (0.0943, 0.1872) and (0.1926, 0.1779) for MLK and LCZ, respectively, as well bias-corrected mean square error of prediction (BCMSEP) of -0.0029 and 0.0176, relative root mean square error of prediction (RRMSEP) reaching 0.7516 and 0.6585, and limits of detection (LOD) reaching 0.0813 and 0.2273 for MLK and LCZ respectively. Practical pharmaceutical sample analysis was successfully confirmed via standard additions. We further conducted pioneering multidimensional sustainability evaluations using state-of-the-art greenness, blueness, and whiteness tools. The method demonstrated favorable environmental metrics across all assessment tools. The obtained Green National Environmental Method Index (NEMI), and Complementary Green Analytical Procedure Index (ComplexGAPI) quadrants affirmed green analytical principles. Additionally, the method had a high Analytical Greenness Metric (AGREE) score (0.90) and a low carbon footprint (0.021), indicating environmental friendliness. We also applied blueness and whiteness assessments using the high Blue Applicability Grade Index (BAGI) and Red–Green–Blue 12 (RGB 12) algorithms. The high BAGI (90) and RGB 12 (90.8) scores confirmed the method's strong applicability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. This work puts forward an optimal, economically viable green chemistry paradigm for pharmaceutical quality control aligned with sustainable development goals.

Abstract:Addressing sustainability requires developing analytical methods that minimize hazards, waste, and energy utilization per the principles of green and white chemistry. Herein, we present a sustainable spectrophotometric chemometrics technique for quantifying the recently approved Bupivacaine (BUP) and Meloxicam (MEL) combination and the potential BUP carcinogen, 2,6-dimethylaniline (DMA). Our models, including partial least squares (PLS), principal component regression (PCR), genetic algorithm-PLS (GA-PLS), and GA-PCR, were established through a comprehensive experimental design involving 25 mixtures as the calibration set. A key innovation is the utilization of the Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) technique, which enables the creation of a robust validation set for evaluating the performance and generalizability of these models. The GA-PLS model demonstrated excellent accuracy, with recovery percentages (R%) from 98 to 102% for all analytes, and root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) and prediction (RMSEP) of (0.097, 0.050, and 0.112) and (0.119, 0.044 and 0.131) for BUP, DMA, and MEL, respectively. The model also showed a negligible bias-corrected mean square error of prediction (BCMSEP) of (-0.014, −0.003, and 0.018), with relative root mean square error of prediction (RRMSEP) reaching (0.992, 0.752, and 0.659), and limits of detection (LOD) reaching (0.153, 0.081, and 0227) for BUP, DMA, and MEL, respectively. Comprehensive greenness, blueness, and whiteness assessments were performed and compared between the suggested and reported methods. This research pioneers a green–blue-white alternative to conventional approaches, serving as a model for developing sustainable techniques that reduce the usage of resources and chemical waste while meeting the global appeal for environmentally accountable solutions.

Abstract:Background: There is an increasing interest of scientific community in developing innovative methodologies for their analysis needs within green analytical chemistry framework. UV spectrophotometry is one of the most promising eco-friendly methods, which is integrated with advanced chemometric tools to enhance the selectivity of the analysis of complex mixtures with severe overlapped signals. Objectives: Simultaneous determination of a triple-combination of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (PSE), carbinoxamine maleate (CRX), and paracetamol (PAR) using an artificial intelligence system and multivariate calibration methods. This combination is recently recommended for COVID-19 home-treated patients as part of a symptomatic treatment. Methods: Namely, the suggested models are: Artificial Neural Networks, Partial Least Squares, and Principal Component Regression. The proposed algorithms were optimized and developed with the aid of a five-level, three-factor experimental design. Results: The investigated methods were applied over the concentration range of 100-180 μg/mL, 18-16 μg/mL, and 4-12 μg/mL for PSE, CRX, and PAR, respectively. The models validation results demonstrated excellent recoveries (around 98 to 102%), signaling the approaches outstanding resolution capacity for the cited compounds in the presence of common excipients. The outcomes of the studied methods were statistically compared to the official approaches, and no significant difference was found. Conclusion: The suggested models were efficiently employed to determine the selected drugs in their combined tablets without any initial separation steps. The impact of these methods on the environment was evaluated via greenness tools, namely; National Environmental Method Index, Raynie and Driver's green assessment method, analytical Eco-Scale, Green Analytical Procedure Index, and Analytical Greenness Metric. Highlights: Green chemometric quality assessment of PSE, CRX, and PAR in their pure and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The established approaches are innovative, sustainable, smart, fast, selective, and cost-effective. These models are potential green nominees for routine analysis of the investigated mixture in quality control laboratories.

Abstract:Two accurate, precise and robust multivariate chemometric methods were developed for the simultaneous determination of montelukast sodium (MON), rupatadine fumarate (RUP) and desloratadine (DES). These methods provide a cost-effective alternative to chromatographic techniques by utilizing spectrophotometry in pharmaceutical quality control. The proposed approaches, partial least squares-1 (PLS-1) and artificial neural network (ANN), were optimized using genetic algorithm (GA) to select the most influential wavelengths, enhancing model performance. A five-level, three-factor design was employed to construct a calibration set with 25 mixtures, utilizing concentration ranges of 3–19, 5–25, and 4–20 μg.mL −1 for MON, RUP, and DES, respectively. An independent validation set was employed to assess the performance of the models. GA significantly improved the PLS-1 and ANN models for RUP and DES, though minimal enhancement was observed for MON. These methods were successfully applied to the simultaneous quantification of the compounds in pharmaceutical formulations and proved useful as stability-indicating assays for RUP, given that DES is a known degradation product. The developed methods offer a valuable tool for impurity profiling and quality control in pharmaceutical analysis.

Abstract:Patients diagnosed with symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD) in the lower extremities have a higher likelihood of suffering from major vascular events. Recently, FDA has approved the combination therapy of aspirin (ASP) and rivaroxaban (ROX) to reduce acute limb ischemia and other comorbidities in (PAD) patients. Zero order and ratio absorption spectra were employed in three simple and accurate spectrophotometric techniques (dual wavelength (DW), ratio difference (RD) and derivative ratio ( 1 DD) for concurrent detection and quantification of ASP and ROX in their pure forms, lab synthetic mixtures and in biological fluid. Our approach involves careful parameter optimization, including solvent selection, sample volumes, and instrumental settings, to reduce the analysis environmental impact. The acquired recovery percentages of accuracy were within 98–102% for pure active pharmaceutical ingredients and 90–110% for pharmaceutical formulations and biological determinations. A comprehensive assessment was done to compare the three methods regarding their ease of use, linearity, sensitivity, conditions, and limitations. The specificity of the proposed methods was evaluated by analyzing the lab synthetic mixtures. The suggested spectrophotometric methods were validated in compliance with ICH guidelines to confirm the validity claims. Also, statistical analysis was done to compare the outcomes obtained from the suggested methods with those obtained from the official ones and they agreed with null hypothesis regarding accuracy and precision. Furthermore, a comprehensive assessment of the environmental sustainability of the developed method was carried out using the Analytical Greenness Calculator, AGREE algorithm. The selected drugs can be efficiently, safely and economically analyzed by the suggested methods in pharmaceutical and biological matrices with no pretreatment or preliminary separation steps and thereby increasing their greenness level.

Partial least squares (PLS), principal component regression (PCR), genetic algorithm-PLS (GA-PLS), and GA-PCR models were built using a multilevel multifactor experimental design resulting in 25 mixtures as a calibration set. A key novelty was using the Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) technique to create a robust validation set to evaluate these models' performance and generalization. The GA-PLS model showed the lowest root mean squared error of prediction (0.121, 0.045, and 0.134 for LID, DIC, and DMA respectively), demonstrating its effectiveness. Recovery from pharmaceutical samples was 98–102 %, evidencing the excellent resolution capacity. Comprehensive greenness, blueness, and whiteness assessments using NEMI, GAPI, AGREE, BAGI, and RGB12 tools were performed and compared between the suggested and reported methods, highlighting the importance of holistic sustainability assessment encompassing greenness, analytical merit, and practicality when developing new methods. The proposed strategy proved highly effective, sustainable, affordable, and implementable even in modestly equipped laboratories, aligning with sustainable development goals. Overall, this work pioneers a green-blue-white alternative to conventional approaches that contributes to an eco-friendlier future in quality control practices, serving as a model for developing benign techniques that reduce resource consumption and chemical waste aligning with the global call for environmentally responsible solutions.

Abstract:marker that can be used further to investigate differences in the two main aetiological types of diabetes. The parallel of our results for type I diabetes with those for ankylosing spondylitis is striking. In both there are strong associations with particular HLA markers and a significant increase in the proportion of non-secretors. This is further indirect evidence to support the suggestion that an infectious agent is implicated in the initiation of type I diabetes in some genetically predisposed paiients. Determining the secretor state of patients who have various viral infections would be a useful first step in investigating this hypothesis. We suggest that the initial susceptibility to some viral infections might be greater in the non-immune, non-secretor host. The specific immune response to the putative infectious agent, controlled by the class II HLA DR3/4 genes, might contribute to pathogenic sequelae leading to the diabetic state.

Abstract:In this study, bupivacaine (BUP) and meloxicam (MLX) were simultaneously assayed in their co-formulated ampoules without interference using four affordable, sensitive, and eco-friendly spectrophotometric methods. The assay of MLX at 359.3 nm over the concentration range of 1.0–15.0 μg/mL was accomplished using a direct UV-spectrophotometric method (Method I) without interference from BUP. However, there was a significant overlap between the spectra of BUP and MLX, making it difficult to determine BUP directly from the UV spectrum. Therefore, various UV-based techniques, including second derivative spectrophotometry (Method II), ratio subtraction method (Method III), and absorption factor method (Method IV), were used to determine BUP over the concentration range of 5.0–80.0 μg/mL. The proposed methods could simultaneously determine the studied drugs with a challenging ratio of 33.3:1.0 (BUP: MLX), which increases the importance of the current study. The proposed methods were applied to estimate the studied drugs in commercial ampoules with high % recoveries and low %RSD values. The excellent eco-friendliness of the developed methods was demonstrated using GAPI and AGREE metrics. The developed methods were validated according to ICHQ2(R2) guidelines. The proposed methods can be better suited for the routine analysis of BUP and MLX in their fixed-dose combination with high selectivity.

Abstract:The development of analytical methods that adhere to the principles of sustainable green chemistry is essential in the modern scientific arena. This research presents two novel methods for the concurrent quantification of olopatadine (OLO) and mometasone (MOM), targeting sustainable green chemistry principles in their raw materials, dosage forms and combined nasal spray formulations. The first method is a rapid isocratic high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) that achieves excellent resolution within 4 min, with retention times of 2.37 ± 0.1 min for OLO and 4.05 ± 0.1 min for MOM. It features optimal sensitivity, with detection limits of 0.13 μg/mL for OLO and 0.03 μg/mL for MOM. It utilizes a cyano column with an isocratic mobile phase of acetonitrile and 0.1 M OPA (50: 50, v/v), making it accessible to standard laboratory equipment. The second method is UV–visible spectrophotometry, which includes first-order derivative measurement (D1) and ratio derivative spectra (RDS) methods. These spectroscopic approaches provide linear response range of 0.2–20.0 μg/mL for OLO and 4.0–40.0 μg/mL for MOM, respectively serving as cost-effective alternatives for labs with limited resources. Validation results show high accuracy (98–102 %) and precision (RSD < 2 %). Green assessments using Eco-Scale indicate scores of 86 for HPLC and 100 for spectrophotometry, while the "blueness" concept via BAGI demonstrates strong sustainability with scores of 87.5 and 90. These methods effectively quantify OLO and MOM in their raw materials, different formulations and combined nasal spray, providing a sustainable and reliable approach for pharmaceutical analysis. This work is the first green assessment for the determination of OLO and MOM in pure drug and in the pharmaceutical formulations using less hazard solvent and simple technique.

Abstract:Recently, a brand-new combination of mirabegron and solifenacin succinate received approval for managing the overactive bladder syndrome's bothersome symptoms. Herein, we introduce six validated UV-spectrophotometric approaches relying on simple mathematical calculations for rapid and concurrent analysis of MBR and SOS in their synthetic mixtures, commercial tablets, and human urine without preliminary separation. The proposed approaches were dual-wavelength, induced dual-wavelength, Fourier self-deconvolution, area under the curve, ratio difference, and first derivative ratio methods. These approaches were applied successfully for the concurrent determination of MBR and SOS in their mixtures (suffered from severe spectral overlap) with excellent recoveries without interference from pharmaceutical excipients or biological matrices. The concurrent analysis of MBR and SOS in spiked biological fluids was accomplished for the first time in this study using the Fourier approach. The proposed approaches were linear in ranges of (50–450) μg/mL and (70–1200) μg/mL for MBR and SOS, in order. The proposed approaches' greenness was evaluated using two tools namely; penalty points scoring system and green analytical procedure index (GAPI), revealing their superiority in greenness over the reported LC method. The proposed approaches were compared statistically in terms of t- and F-values with the reported LC method, revealing no discernible differences concerning accuracy or precision at p = 0.05. Accordingly, the proposed approaches are valid for regular analysis of MBR and SOS as affordable substitutes in QC labs lacking expensive chromatographic instruments.

Abstract:Aim: This study aims on the development of a chemometric-assisted spectroscopic method for the analysis of combined dosage form of emtricitabine (EMT), tenofovir alafenamide fumarate (TEN), and dolutegravir sodium (DOL). The use of a multivariate algorithm to analyse spectrophotometric data is a novel approach to estimating drug concentrations in formulations. Materials and Methods: The quantitative estimation of EMT, TEN, and DOL in tablets was carried out using four chemometric approaches: Classical least square (CLS), inverse least square, partial least square, and principal component regression. Thirty-two ternary mixtures of calibration sets and 16 mixtures of validation sets were prepared. The absorbance data matrix was attained by calculating absorbance at 25 different wavelengths in a range of 240–336 nm (Δλ = 4 nm). The chemometric calculations were performed using Matlab2018a and Minitab software. The developed methods were validated. Results: The great accuracy of the current study was justified by the near-perfect recovery values (100%) and low standard deviation. For chemometrics approaches, the root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC), root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP), and root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) outcomes display decent accuracy and precision. Conclusion: The CLS approach yielded the lowest predicted residual error sum of squares, RMSEC, RMSEP, and RMSECV scores. As a result, CLS might be regarded as the best chemometric approach among all techniques utilized. The label claim determined is in excellent accordance with the mean recoveries for EMT, TEN, and DOL. So, it can be used in quality control laboratories.

Abstract:The simultaneous assay of duloxetine hydrochloride (DLX) and avanafil (AVN) in their pure forms, synthetic mixtures, and spiked human plasma was achieved using a novel, eco-friendly, sensitive, and specific HPTLC methodology that have been established and validated. Measuring the levels of co-administered antidepressants and sexual stimulants in biological fluids is an important step for individuals with depression and sexual problems. Separation was performed successfully using pre-coated silica gel 60-F254 as a stationary phase and a mobile phase composed of methanol, acetone, and 33% ammonia (8:2:0.05, v/v/v). Compact bands were produced by the optimized mobile phase that was chosen for development (Rf values were 0.23 and 0.75 for DLX and AVN, individually) after dual-wavelength detection for DLX and AVN at 232 and 253 nm, respectively. The results of polynomial regression analysis were exceptional ( r = 0.9999 for both medicines) over concentration ranges of 5-800 and 10-800ng/spot for DLX and AVN, respectively. The quantitation limits were 4.69 and 9.53 ng/spot (0.31 and 0.94 μg/mL), whereas the detection limits were 1.55 and 3.15 ng/spot (0.63 and 1.91 μg/mL), for DLX and AVN, respectively. The International Council for Harmonization (ICH) criteria served as the basis for validating the established approach. Moreover, the proposed technique was evaluated in terms of greenness using four contemporary ecological metrics: The Analytical Greenness software (AGREE), the Green Analytical Procedure Index (GAPI), Eco-Scale, and the National Environmental Method Index (NEMI). Additionally, the Blue Applicability Grade Index (BAGI), a newly developed tool for evaluating the practicality (blueness) of procedures, was taken into consideration when evaluating the sustainability levels of the established approach.

Abstract:Developing analytical techniques that align with green and sustainable chemistry principles is crucial in today's scientific landscape. This work introduces two innovative approaches for the simultaneous quantification of indacaterol (IND) and mometasone (MOM), a recently approved combination therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These methods-rapid isocratic ion pair chromatography (IPC) and UV-visible spectrophotometry-demonstrate improved environmental sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and versatility compared to existing techniques. The optimized 4-min IPC method achieved excellent resolution (retention times 2.18 ± 0.1 min for IND and 3.95 ± 0.1 min for MOM), peak symmetry, and sensitivity. It utilizes a low-cost ion pair mobile phase of acetonitrile and acidified water containing 0.025% sodium dodecyl sulfate (50:50% v/v), making it suitable for laboratories with standard chromatographic instruments. The spectrophotometric approach offers two procedures: first derivative and ratio derivative methods. These serve as simplified, low-cost alternatives for resource-limited laboratories without access to advanced instruments. Both techniques feature simplified protocols that minimize extraction and fractionation steps. Comprehensive validation confirmed outstanding accuracy (98-102%) and precision (%2 <). Sustainability assessments using ComplexGAPI, AGREE, carbon footprint, BAGI, and RGB12 tools demonstrated enhanced environmental performance compared to existing methods. The IPC and spectrophotometry methods achieved greenness scores of 0.81 and 0.85, respectively, surpassing the 0.63-0.67 range of reported techniques. Additionally, they showed lower carbon footprints of 0.035 and 0.022 kg CO2 equivalent emissions per sample, compared to 0.079-0.092 kg for conventional procedures. The application of novel "blueness" and "whiteness" concepts using BAGI and RGB12 algorithms further confirmed superior sustainability, with scores of 87.5 & 90 for blueness and 88.1 & 89.8 for whiteness. Successfully applied to quantify IND and MOM in combined capsules, this work provides a model for eco-friendly pharmaceutical analysis that maintains high analytical reliability while improving sustainability metrics.

Abstract:The efficacious treatment of muscle and joint pain relies heavily on etofenamate (ETO) and benzyl nicotinate (BN), which possess robust anti‐inflammatory and pain‐relieving properties when paired with methylparaben (MP) or benzyl alcohol (BA). In this study, we have established and validated innovative RP‐UPLC methods for assessing ETO and BN in the presence of MP or BA in their dosage forms, employing eight green tools to evaluate their eco‐friendliness and effectiveness. Reversed phase‐ultra‐performance liquid chromatography (RP‐UPLC) technique employs a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min on Waters Acquity UPLC BEH Column (C18, 1.7 μm, 100 mm × 2.1 mm), detection at 254 nm using a photo diode array (PDA) detector and mobile phase of 0.05 M KH2PO4 buffer, acetonitrile, and methanol (50:15:35, v/v/v) adjusted pH 6.0 with 0.2% triethylamine. For ETO, BN, MP, and BA, the calibration curves were linear and ranged from 0.005 to 1.0, from 0.001 to 0.2, from 0.002 to 0.08, and from 0.0001 to 0.1 mg/mL, respectively. The correlation value was 0.9999, and the accuracy findings ranged from 98.81% to 100.56%. Consequently, the methodology has been successfully implemented in assay testing for the pharmaceuticals in the presence of the MP or BA, demonstrating the high selectivity of these approaches. The present study presents the Blue Applicability Grade Index (BAGI), an innovative approach that complements green metrics in practical white analytical chemistry. According to the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) criteria, the procedures were effectively validated.

Abstract:Agar dilution was used to compare the in vitro activity of CP 99,219 with those of ciprofloxacin, grepafloxacin, metronidazole, cefoxitin, piperacillin, and piperacillin-tazobactam against 489 anaerobes. CP 99,219 yielded a MIC for 50% of the strains tested (MIC50) of 0.25 micrograms/ml and a MIC90 of 1.0 microgram/ml, with 99.6% of the strains susceptible at a breakpoint of 2.0 micrograms/ml. Ciprofloxacin and grepafloxacin were less active (MIC50, 4.0 micrograms/ml; MIC90, 32.0 micrograms/ml and 2.0 and 16.0 micrograms/ml, respectively). Metronidazole was active against all gram-negative rods (MIC90, 4.0 micrograms/ml), but 31% of the gram-positive anaerobes were resistant at > 8.0 micrograms/ml. Cefoxitin was active against 84% of all strains at < or = 16.0 micrograms/ml, with a MIC50 of 4.0 micrograms/ml and a MIC90 of 32.0 micrograms/ml. Tazobactam enhanced the activity of piperacillin against > 95% of the beta-lactamase-producing gram-negative anaerobic rods (MIC90, 16.0 micrograms/ml).

Abstract:Mathematical manipulation technique has proven to be a very powerful tool for efficient processing and handling of highly overlapped spectra. This work introduced two green and sustainable approaches for the successful recovery of the ternary mixture, Tylosin tartarate (TYL), Sulfadimdine (SLD), and Trimethoprim (TRI). The approaches were constructed using three different methods, derivative ratio spectrum zero-crossing method (DRSZ), double divisor ratio spectra derivative method (DDRD), and factorized derivative ratio method coupled with spectrum subtraction (FDRM-SS). The two approaches succeeded in recovering the three drugs (Linearity range achieved were 0.5–5 μg/mL for TYL, 0.3–1.3 μg/mL for SLD, and 0.3–5 μg/mL for TRI), giving convenient standard deviations and satisfactory recovery percentages. The recommended methods have been verified in accordance with (ICH) guidelines. When the results were statistically compared to the official methods, no significant difference was found. Both AGREE—Analytical GREEnness Metric Approach and Software, and White Analytical Chemistry (WAC) RGB model gave scores of 0.93 and 97.2%, respectively, which proved that the approaches were eco-friendly and abiding by the sustainability principles.
