Abstract:Background: The Nursing Education Programme was affected during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, resulting in nursing students being unable to participate in the clinical experiential learning required by the South African Nursing Council. Objectives: The study seeks to explore and describe nursing students' experiences of clinical experiential learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: A qualitative, explorative and descriptive, research design was used in the study. A non-probability purposive sampling method was used, and 55 nursing students participated in the study. Data were collected through six focus group discussions, consisting of 8-12 nursing students in each group. Data were analysed following Tesch's open coding method. Results: Three themes emerged from the study's findings: The impact of COVID-19 on the clinical experiential learning of nursing students, the effects of COVID-19 on the mental well-being of nursing students, and nursing students' experiences of support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, 11 sub-themes emerged. Conclusion: The findings of this study reveal that the COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted the Nursing Education Programme, highlighting the challenges of inadequate clinical hours, restricted clinical access and the significant psychological impact on students.Contribution: This study adds to the literature on students' experiences during clinical experiential learning in South Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nursing Students' Experiences and Challenges in Their Education During COVID 19 Pandemic: A Mixed-Method Study

Abstract:Introduction: The COVID-19 outbreak disrupted the nursing education across the world. The nursing students faced many challenges in their learning process. Objective: The study explored the experiences and challenges faced by nursing students who had virtual education in India. Methods: The study adopted an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design. The study was conducted as two phases. Phase 1: Qualitative data were collected using direct focus group interview with 18 students. Phase 2: Quantitative data were collected from 477 students using a Likert scale prepared by the investigators of the study on challenges experienced by nursing students on their education. The analysis was done using the descriptive and inferential statistics and thematic analysis. Results: Phase 1: The analyzed data produced seven themes and 10 sub-themes; (1) technical issues-a concern, (2) regular rhythm in educational training-but not complete, (3) stress and strain, (4) evaluation-a concern, (5) communication, (6) comfort zone, and (7) easy distraction. Phase 2: Majority of the students (54.71%) experienced high-level challenges with the nursing education during pandemic. The overall mean and SD of all the domain-wise challenges were 103.39 + 7.11 with the range from 30 to 150. The mean and SD with educational challenges were (20.27 + 3.04), environmental challenges (6.92 + 1.66), communication challenges (17.61 + 4.01), technical challenges (17.39 + 3.75), evaluation challenges (7.09 + 1.94), physical and mental challenges (20.47 + 4.33), career challenges (7.06 + 1.91), and financial challenges (6.61 + 2.1). The demographic variable gender (P = 0.045) showed a statistically significant association with the challenges. Conclusion: Considering the experiences and challenges faced by the nursing students, the nursing administrators shall design educational strategies to mitigate these challenges in nursing education during a pandemic. Implication: Virtual nursing education offers flexibility in teaching and learning, self-paced learning opportunity, lower the costs, career advancement, comfortable learning environment, more opportunities for participation, easier to track documentation and improves skills in technology. Therefore, the challenges in virtual nursing education should be lessened to have successful teaching learning experiences.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: E-learning is becoming an important approach to teaching and learning in higher education institutions, including nursing training. Despite that, there are students who were never introduced to e-learning prior to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Their challenges in relation to e-learning could differ from those of other students who had experienced the platform before, especially against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic that brought an abrupt change in the approach to teaching, learning and assessment.OBJECTIVES: This study explored and described university nursing students' challenges in relation to e-learning during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in a resource-constrained setting.METHOD: Qualitative exploratory and contextual design was used. The sample consisted of 17 participants who were conveniently selected, and data were collected by means of two focus groups and five individual interviews. Data analysis followed a qualitative content analysis process.RESULTS: The five categories emanated from analysis are e-learning mode not suitable for practical components, challenges related to assessment of learning, connectivity issues, e-learning is a lonely journey and computer illiteracy and limited skills for the use of e-learning.CONCLUSION: Nursing students' challenges regarding e-learning during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic related to the learning of practical components, assessment, connectivity, a lack of interaction with peers and a lack of the skills required to operate e-learning tools.Contribution: The findings have implications for international, regional and local contexts in helping to develop support systems and preparing students to use e-learning when it is introduced abruptly.

Abstract:Objectives: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic disrupted classroom-based learning, necessitating the adoption of online learning in most universities. However, there has been a lack of information on university students' perspectives regarding online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study assessed the perspectives, satisfaction and experiences with online and classroom learning among human health students at the University of Zambia. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 737 students at the University of Zambia from October 2022 to April 2023. Data were analysed using Stata version 16.1. Results: Of the 737 participants, 51.6% were female and 56.5% agreed that blended learning should continue even after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, 78.4% of the students believed that group discussions were more suitable in the classroom than online learning. Most students (67.1%) disagreed that they preferred online learning to classroom learning. Furthermore, 77.6% of the students disagreed that online learning gave more satisfaction than classroom learning. Conclusions: This study found that most students recommended the continuation of blended learning after the pandemic. However, they believed that follow-up tutorials and assessments were better undertaken in physical classrooms than online learning. These findings are important in sensitising stakeholders in the education sector and governments to consider blended learning as a teaching strategy in the future. There is a need to develop and implement curricula that offer blended learning to students as well as ensure the students have the necessary facilities and equipment to support such learning.

Abstract:The COVID-19 pandemic caused several higher educational institutions to switch from traditional face-to-face to virtual learning medium. This abrupt shift came with new expectations, experiences and challenges to nursing/ midwifery students, particularly new users, and even more so when preparation, orientation, and support were lacking or ineffective. The present study therefore aimed at exploring the expectations, experiences and challenges of nursing students using the virtual learning medium during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a descriptive phenomenological design using 12 purposively sampled nursing and midwifery students from a public university in Ghana. With the aid of a semi-structured guide, individual face-to-face interviews were audiotaped, transcribed verbatim at a later time and deductively analyzed into themes using the customer experience execution model. Participants were aged 22–36 years and involved equal number of males and females (n = 6), with majority being Christians (n = 11). Six themes were generated from the study: (1) "Initial thoughts and emotions" described participants initial reactions to the virtual educational medium during the pandemic; (2) "Expectations with the virtual medium" referred to the participants' anticipations regarding the convenience offered by the virtual medium; (3) "Experiences with the virtual medium" depicted the participants' recognition of both positive and negative encounters while using the virtual learning platform; (4) "Evaluation and recommendation" described participants' reports of meeting expectations and recommendations they made to enhance virtual learning; (5) "Challenges and limitations of the virtual medium" typically represented the obstacles encountered by nursing/ midwifery students when they embraced the virtual medium; (6) "Prospects of the virtual medium" referred to participants' views on the future of the virtual medium. The study has brought to light that the virtual education environment comes with its own expectations, experiences and challenges to students. Provision of adequate support such as orientation and simulation laboratories by higher education institutions to satisfy students' needs is necessary to enhance nursing education.

Abstract:BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic interrupted face-to-face education and forced universities into an emergency remote teaching curriculum. Studies show that students' engagement, social presence, and satisfaction are critical factors for optimal online teaching. PurposeTherefore, in this study, we sought to understand how the sudden transition to emergency remote teaching impacted nursing students' engagement and social presence, as well as how it affected their satisfaction with online courses in a middle-eastern public university. MethodsA cross-sectional descriptive correlative research design was adopted in this study. Data were collected through three questionnaires measuring students' engagement, social presence, and satisfaction with emergency remote teaching compared to the traditional approach from a sample of 177 nursing students. ResultsResults indicate that students had a high level of engagement but low social presence and low satisfaction level with emergency remote teaching. Additionally, both engagement and social presence were positively associated with satisfaction. ConclusionOur findings support the importance of engaging students and integrating social presence strategies into online courses to enhance nursing students' satisfaction.

Abstract:Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a global pandemic that has modified all social and, especially, learning instances. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of final-year nursing students at a university in southern Chile regarding the impact of the pandemic on their learning, and consequently on their quality of life, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and methods: This is a qualitative study. The research was conducted on 14 nursing students who were selected from a university located in the province of Talca, Maule Region, Chile. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews conducted during July and September 2021. The data were analyzed using the inductive logic of theoretical categorization; this process was assisted by the Nvivo 10 program. Results: Two mega categories were generated that accounted for the nursing students' experience during the COVID-19 pandemic: objective factors category and subjective factors category. Six subcategories were derived from these two categories: free time, social relationships, learning from practice, physical exercise, eating habits, and emotional state. Conclusion: The research findings indicate that the students, in addition to feeling upset about not being able to do the internship, also feel that they have not been able to acquire all the knowledge necessary for their training and professional development, since the virtual classes fail to deliver adequate learning as they lack the practical component that is so important in their careers. This has repercussions in the physical, social, and psychological areas, affecting their quality of life.

Abstract:Background: In a rapidly evolving educational landscape, blended learning is becoming an increasingly popular transition from traditional forms of learning and teaching to e-learning. It is therefore important that lecturers adapt their practice and transform their teaching in line with the online platform in use, as this has the potential to benefit students, lecturers and the institution alike. However, little research exists regarding the perspectives of nurse educators on the use of blended learning as a teaching method. Aim: The study aimed to explore and describe the perspectives of nurse educators on the use of blended learning as a teaching method at the Faculty of Health Sciences at a university in Namibia. Setting: The study was conducted at a public nurse education institution in Namibia. Methods: A qualitative exploratory, descriptive design that was contextual was applied to collect data from a convenient sample of 15 lecturers using semi-structured interviews. Results: Four themes emerged in this study, namely, understanding of blended learning, benefits of utilising blended learning, challenges of utilising blended learning, and recommendations to ensure effective use of blended learning. Conclusion: The study findings identified potential areas of both strengths and shortcomings in nurse educators' use of blended learning as a teaching and learning strategy. Contribution: These findings may be used to develop ongoing strategies and targeted interventions that can strengthen nurse educators' abilities to design learning environments that are conducive to blended learning.

Abstract:Abstract Background Nursing education was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as most institutions shifted to e-learning. The aim of the current study was to examine students’ engagement and satisfaction levels with e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A descriptive correlation design was used to guide this study. A voluntary response sampling method was used to recruit undergraduate nursing programs in Jordan. Data were collected using an electronic link to a self-reported questionnaire. Results A total of 1,562 undergraduate nursing students responded to the questionnaire. The study showed that most students have high engagement in the emotional, skills, and performance subscales and low engagement in the participation subscale. Further, they were moderately satisfied with e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusions Students identified several issues regarding their e-learning, which must be considered to improve their engagement and satisfaction. Further, the study revealed several shortcomings in preparing students to attend e-learning classes.

Abstract:Purpose: This study reflects on three technology integration strategies for enhanced student engagement, namely; keeping the learning social, keeping the learning authentic, and ensuring that the technology adds value to learning. Methodology: The study employed a student technology profiling survey involving 3rd Year Cell Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Genetics students at the University of Namibia in 2021. The survey used a Google Document whose link was distributed to students through class WhatsApp group. Further, literature is reviewed on student engagement, and blended learning. The data was qualitatively presented using graphs. Findings: The study revealed that keeping the learning social ensures learning from sociocultural perspectives, and allows for social constructivist methods of learning while the adoption of authentic learning as a pedagogical model can help to better prepare students for professional practice. Teachers can ensure that technology integration adds value by using instructional strategies that stimulate students into engaging with higher-level cognitive skills and differentiated learning. The study found that based on the nature of the course under review, we identified the Flipped Classroom model and the Enriched-Virtual model is most appropriate blended learning modes for full-time students and distance students, respectively. Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: It is recommended that higher education institutions should consider redesigning their curriculum policies in order to integrate blended learning in all their courses in order to improve the quality of education, enhance student learning and engagement, as well as overall quality of the university graduates.

Abstract:Objective To explore and describe senior nursing students' perspectives on clinical practice during COVID-19 and provide the most up-to-date information on the quality of clinical experience for nursing students in relation to nursing practice, nursing education, and nursing research. Design The research design that was employed is a qualitative, explorative, descriptive in order to explore and describe nursing students' perceptions of clinical, training during the COVID-19 pandemic. Setting The study took place in a local university located in the Northwest province, South Africa. Participants The population consisted of 16 senior nursing students who had been exposed to clinical practice during the COVID-19 pandemic. There were 14 women and 2 men. Study included full-time, registered undergraduate nursing students who enrolled in 2019. All nursing students who did not engage in clinical practice before or during COVID-19 were exempt. Interventions There were no direct interventions in this study; however, few recommendations were made for each of the themes that emerged in this study. Primary and secondary outcome measures The researchers' aim with the study was to find out the nursing students' perspective on clinical training during a global pandemic, through interviews and focus group discussions. The researcher did in fact receive such feedback from the participants. Results Four major themes emerged: (1) the lack of preceptors to facilitate clinical teaching; (2) not allowed to work in COVID-19 wards; (3) difficulties with online classes and tests and (4) poor communication. Conclusion The COVID-19 pandemic influenced how students viewed and experienced clinical training, which in turn had an impact on their learning experiences. These effects also had some impact on their experiences and decisions to continue working as professional nurses.

Abstract:The COVID-19 pandemic forced universities worldwide to move their teaching online within an unprecedentedly short timeframe. Whilst the move online learning has increased the reach of tertiary educational delivery it has also raised significant issues of equity, accessibility and student engagement. This includes concerns around access to technology and reliable internet connectivity, academic and digital literacy, and other factors such as mental health and work-life balance. This paper examines two studies of student engagement with online learning during 2020 when then pandemic began. One study was conducted in South Africa the other in a small regional university in South-Eastern Australia. A mixed method approach was used in both studies and then student responses were analysed using the student engagement framework presented by Kahu and Nelson (2018). A key focus in this analysis is the critical importance the educational interface and shared mutually formative experience of learning between students and universities. Findings show that despite the two different contexts, student concerns around digital literacy and engagement in an online learning environment share many similarities.

Abstract:Technology is key to making education systems more resilient to disruptions. In the South African higher education sector, technology will continue to play a much larger role than the years preceding the COVID-19 pandemic. Technology, however, cannot replace the value gained through social contact and concerns about relational disengagement in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular spaces have been noted. Drawing on large-scale qualitative data collected as part of the South African Survey of Student Engagement, this article explores what students consider as the most important factors in supporting their learning and development and how these factors might be translated to technologically enhanced learning and teaching spaces. Such insights from students’ experiences could inform blended learning and teaching spaces that leverage technology to enhance relational engagement.
Needs and experiences of postgraduate nursing students in Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract:Aim: To explore the experiences and needs of postgraduate nursing students within the Nigerian context. Design: This qualitative study was conducted using a descriptive phenomenological approach. Method: Data were collected between February and April 2022 using a purposive sampling method and telephone semi-structured interviews. Colaizzi's method of Qualitative data Analysis was utilized. Twenty-two Nigerian postgraduate nursing students were interviewed. Results: Three themes emerged: challenges of Nigerian postgraduate students before the pandemic, the impact of the pandemic on postgraduate education, and innovations to improve postgraduate education in Nigeria. The challenges include the burden of physical lectures, lack of infrastructure, and poor mentorship of postgraduate nursing students. The impact of the pandemic on postgraduate education includes abrupt disruption of the academic program, a prolonged academic calendar, and a communication gap between students and their research supervisors. Innovations to improve postgraduate nursing education in Nigeria also include adoption and sustainability of e-learning, upgrading post-basic to postgraduate nursing programmes, proper structuring of postgraduate nursing education, commencement of postgraduate nursing programmes in more universities and provision of financial aid for students. Our primary finding is that funding, mentorship and infrastructure were issues peculiar to all the respondents. Conclusion: This study concludes that efforts should be made to maintain a seamless educational program by ensuring an uninterrupted flow of learning through virtual means, thereby enhancing effective teaching and learning. Implications: Graduate nursing studies is one of the suggested solutions in the WHO strategic direction for nursing and midwifery globally to achieve Universal Health Coverage . The reason is that nurses can practice with more and better skills in any work setting, thus improving the quality of health care services. Our study provides insights into the experiences of postgraduate students and how these could discourage other nurses who might have thought about furthering their studies. Efforts should be made to provide all the support that these students need, using evidence from this study and similar studies to ensure they have a good learning experience and others can be motivated to learn at the graduate level as well. This will increase the proportion of nurses and midwives honed with better skills to provide more standard quality services that will improve patient care outcomes.
Exploring undergraduate nursing students’ experiences towards home-based learning as pedagogy during the COVID-19 pandemic: a descriptive qualitative exploration

Abstract:Abstract Background The global COVID-19 pandemic has led to the need for educators to explore online platforms in delivering lessons to students. Home-based learning is one of the most commonly-used teaching methods that allow learning to take place despite a physical separation between the students and the educators. Methods A descriptive qualitative approach was used to explore the experiences of nursing undergraduates when using home-based learning as a pedagogy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected from twenty-three nursing students ( n = 14 in year one; n = 9 in year two) of their full-time pre-registration nursing program in a public-funded university in Singapore. Semi-structured interviews using an interview guide was conducted through Zoom-based video-conferencing from November 2020 to January 2021. The interview lasted between 45 and 65 min (median = 45 min). Data collection took place concurrently with thematic analysis through Braun and Clarke’s six-step approach. This study was reported according to the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research. Results Three main themes identified during the data analysis were: (1) challenges of home-based learning, where students detailed their experiences and difficulties encountered during the process; (2) the effectiveness of home-based learning, which explored the pedagogy’s impact on the students’ learning experience; and (3) students’ motivation to learn, where the effects on student morale and motivation in partaking in learning tasks were discussed. Conclusions Results from this study suggested that universities should incorporate more home-based learning opportunities as home-based learning to continue playing a crucial role in the foreseeable future. Universities should continue to incorporate more home-based learning opportunities into the existing nursing curriculaa in order to test their capacities and address technical challenges in online learning. Future studies should also consider incorporating other pedagogical strategies when conducting lessons online.

The abrupt shift of modality imposes various agendas, either beneficial to improve learning delivery or, to some extent, a disadvantage, especially among technologically challenged educators. Curative traits are attributed to meeting the education requirements and needs of learners while the pandemic disrupts its core implementation. Integration of nursing care as such involves various key stakeholders, understandably because of its newness in form. In developing countries, continuity of teaching and learning has been affected by the abrupt transition, which further at-risks higher academic institutions' ability to provide quality professional education. The study aimed to document pandemic-induced stories encountered by the stakeholders among higher institutions' implementation as cornerstones to developing a caring-inspired strategy to approach education. Methods: The narratives of stakeholders such as students, faculty, parents, and the school administration are extracted during their elemental months of learning design, innovation, and transition phases. Analyses using NVivo 12 Plus on the participant’s experiences and coping were transcribed, and themes were generated thereafter. Pseudonyms of the 28 participants assigned were obtained prior to researcher-assisted key informant interviews to ensure the ethicality of the qualitative research design. Results: Significant themes as expressions of a caring-inspired approach to flexible learning range from identifying challenges and changes to coping with the implementation of technology-modified learning modalities. In the context of learning material development, digital literacy, curriculum-related concerns, and breaches of academic veracity are themes that surfaced among all participants within the first three months of pandemic adjustments. Conclusion: The study recommends the inclusion of flexible learning as a strategy even in the post-pandemic era as input to strategic planning during management reviews and to sustain technological and educational evolution, ensuring a learning continuum amidst crises

Abstract:Aim: The aim of this study was to survey student learning perspectives as measured by ‘student satisfaction’ following the rapid introduction of remote blended e-learning into the existing undergraduate nursing curriculum at Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia. Background: National legislation resulting from the spread of Covid-19 required all theoretical and practical nurse training to move immediately to online provision using an unfamiliar e-learning environment and associated tools. Objective: The objective of this study was to use a validated satisfaction questionnaire developed elsewhere, but within a similar educational context involving both theoretical and practical components, for the purpose of checking that educational objectives were being satisfactorily achieved across five relevant domains of educational enquiry, and to use survey findings to improve the online delivery of the nursing program in future academic years. Methods: A validated 35 item questionnaire was circulated online to all male and female nursing students in their 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th years of study. The questionnaire content was subdivided into the five domains of ‘Interaction’, ‘Instruction’, ‘Instructor’, ‘Course Management’ and ‘Technology’. Descriptive and comparative statistics were used to compare levels of satisfaction between genders and among undergraduate years of study, and against findings from undergraduate information technology undergraduates. Results: 199 female and 84 male students completed the questionnaire (response rate 59.2%). Mean satisfaction scores for male and female nursing undergraduates were significantly greater than 3 (neutral score) in all domains of enquiry, indicating good satisfaction with blended e-learning (p<0.001). However, multivariate regressions of domain satisfaction scores taking gender and year of study as explanatory variables had poor resolving power. Domain scores were also significantly greater than those of a comparator study in three of the five domains (p<0.030) and similar in the domains of course management (p=0.717) and technology (p=0.677). Levels of satisfaction in males and females were similar in 80% of the survey questions, but in females, satisfaction was significantly lower in some questions concerning technology (p<0.003), willingness to interrupt the instructor (p=0.021), comparison of blended learning and face-to-face teaching (p=0.002) and timely feedback on tests and assignments (p=0.031). Fourth-year students showed the highest levels of satisfaction across all five domains. Conclusion: Undergraduate nursing students reported above-average satisfaction levels across all five domains of education provision. Despite an unfamiliar blended e-learning curriculum environment, they demonstrated compatible technological skills, satisfactory interaction with teachers and other students and engagement in the learning process. A number of recommendations identified in the literature as underlying a successful program of blended e-learning are recorded for the benefit of readers.

Abstract:Undergraduate nursing education is pivotal, yet it presents numerous challenges, particularly during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted to develop a collaborative program between hospitals and educational institutions to enhance the professional preparation of nursing students. This investigation employed qualitative methods and semi-structured interviews with 12 nursing students from a Guangxi hospital. Analysis via Colaizzi's method revealed four primary themes: knowledge and skill requisites, stressors within the clinical environment, emotional responses, and self-adaptation processes. The findings underscore the necessity for heightened attention to the experiences and stressors of nursing students. Drawing on Roy’s Adaptation Model and Neuman’s Systems Model, the research proposes an integrated approach to nursing education that encompasses curriculum development, practical training, mentorship, and administrative support. Enhancements in these areas are posited to strengthen students’ knowledge, resilience, and professional identity, thereby fostering the advancement of nursing practice and education. Abstract:Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the world in 2020. Every country adopted quarantine measures to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus infection. These measures resulted in dramatic changes in the daily lives of most people. In the academic world, students faced a shift from the traditional classroom-based teaching to virtual distance learning platforms. This shift in nursing education posed challenges both to the instructors and students as they were not fully prepared for this transition. Objective: The study assessed the nursing students' satisfaction with the virtual learning experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in selected nursing colleges in India. Methods: The study was conducted in four nursing colleges in India. A total of 1,166 Diploma, Post Basic BSc (N), BSN, and MSN nursing students participated in the study. Ethical approval was obtained from all the nursing colleges included in the study. The Google Forms satisfaction survey included student, teacher, course, technology, environmental, and practical dimensions. Results: The response rate was 86.31% (n = 1,166). The overall satisfaction with virtual theory and practical classes has a mean and SD score of 67.14 + 11 and 16.21 + 3.46, respectively. The results showed that overall 51% of the students had good satisfaction with virtual theory classes while 48% had moderate satisfaction. In terms of overall satisfaction with virtual practical classes, approximately 39% had good satisfaction, 58% had moderate satisfaction and nearly 3% had poor satisfaction. In addition, the students expressed that they had good satisfaction with Teacher dimension (64.3%), Student dimension (63%), and Course dimension (57.2%). On the contrary, they expressed poor satisfaction in the Technical dimension (11.3%) and Environmental dimension (5.6%). The results showed that the courses, the place of attending class, and health issues were significantly associated with the student's level of satisfaction with virtual learning. Conclusion: Although the majority of the students rated their satisfaction level as being "good" in virtual theory classes and "moderate" in virtual practical learning, most of them were dissatisfied with the Technical and Environmental dimensions of virtual learning. This results calls for blended learning strategies to be designed to enhance better learning outcomes and, to ensure deepened level of satisfaction with virtual learning activities.
