Abstract:The development of wireless Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) aimed to enhance road's safety and provide comfortable driving environment by delivering early warning and infotainment messages. Intentional jamming attacks target at undermining such a goal by disrupting wireless communications. While detecting jamming attacks is important towards enhancing road safety, it is challenging because VANET operates in outdoor environment (highly changeable road conditions and atmospheric phenomena), and encompasses volatile topology and high mobility of vehicles (traveling speed and directions). To overcome these challenges, in this work, we study jamming attack mobility and behaviors in IEEE802.11p networks. In particular, we focus on analyzing jamming impact based on jammers behaviors, and mobility patterns. Thus, in order to achieve reliable detection, first we identify the impact of vehicles' density on network performance. Then, we study jamming effectiveness when adopting different mobility patterns (stationary, random, or targeting) and behaviors (constant, random, and reactive). Finally, we propose a two phase detection algorithm and evaluate it in a simulation environment. Our approach shows promising results to detect different types of jammers accurately in IEEE802.11p networks.

Abstract:The research addresses ITS challenges in accurate info transmission in V2V and V2R communication within VANETs, focusing on urban areas with high traffic. A self‐adaptive search optimization technique is proposed for VANET clustering, prioritizing vehicles based on energy, acceleration, jitter, priority, velocity, and trust. The technique's evaluation values are 0.53 s throughput, 36.07 km/h velocity, 3.472 s jitter, and 43.572% SDTT with 50 vehicles in a 50 s test that highlights its potential for improved VANET communication and traffic management. Summary In recent days, VANET is considered as the main hopeful equipment in the system of transportation since traffic congestion arises regularly and thus occurred road accidents very easily. Besides, the network traffic is increasing due to the huge quantity of information generated in region of urban. Therefore, one of the primary challenges faced by Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is ensuring the accurate transmission of information in both vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) and vehicle‐to‐road (V2R) sensing unit communications. So, here, an adaptive routing controller (ARC) is utilized to improve the data transmission between vehicle and road sensing unit (RSU) and to minimize the traffic density in VANET, and the self‐adaptive search optimization is developed in VANET clustering to prioritize vehicles in the lane, in which the multi‐objective function is intended depending on the energy of the node, acceleration, jitter, priority, velocity, and trust factors. The traffic light control is done to facilitate the effective communication in the network. Thus, the proposed technique is calculated in terms of throughput, jitter, quadratic mean of acceleration (QMA), and spatially distributed travel time (SDTT), which acquired the values of 0.53 s, 36.07 kmph, 3.472 s, and 43.572%, respectively, while using 50 vehicles at 50 s.

Abstract:The vehicular ad hoc network, VANET, is one of the most popular and promising technologies in intelligent transportation today. However, VANET is susceptible to several vulnerabilities that result in an intrusion. This intrusion must be solved before VANET technology can be adopted. In this study, we suggest a unique machine learning technique to improve VANET's effectiveness. The proposed method incorporates two phases. Phase I detects the DDoS attack using a novel machine learning technique called SVM-HHO, which provides information about the vehicle. Phase II mitigates the impact of a DDoS attack and allocates bandwidth using a reliable resources management technique based on the hybrid whale dragonfly optimization algorithm (H-WDFOA). This proposed model could be an effective technique predicting and utilizing reliable information that provides effective results in smart vehicles. The novel machine learning-based technique was implemented through MATLAB and NS2 platforms. Network quality measurements included congestion, transit, collision, and QoS awareness cost. Based on the constraints, a different cost framework was designed. In addition, data preprocessing of the QoS factor and total routing costs were considered. Rider integrated cuckoo search (RI-CS) is a novel optimization algorithm that combines the concepts of the rider optimization algorithm (ROA) and cuckoo search (CS) to determine the optimal route with the lowest routing cost. The enhanced hybrid ant colony optimization routing protocol (EHACORP) is a networking technology that increases efficiency by utilizing the shortest route. The shortest path of the proposed protocol had the lowest communication overhead and the fewest number of hops between sending and receiving vehicles. The EHACORP involved two stages. To find the distance between cars in phase 1, EHACORP employed a method for calculating distance. Using starting point ant colony optimization, the ants were guided in phase 2 to develop the shortest route with the least number of connections to send information. The relatively short approach increases protocol efficiency in every way. The pairing of DCM and SBACO at H-WDFOA-VANET accelerated packet processing, reduced ant search time, eliminated blind broadcasting, and prevented stagnation issues. The delivery ratio and throughput of the H-WDFOA-packet VANET benefitted from its use of the shortest channel without stagnation, its rapid packet processing, and its rapid convergence speed. In conclusion, the proposed hybrid whale dragonfly optimization approach (H-WDFOA-VANET) was compared with industry standard models, such as rider integrated cuckoo search (RI-CS) and enhanced hybrid ant colony optimization routing protocol (EHACORP). With the proposed method, throughput could be increased. The proposed system had energy consumption values of 2.00000mJ, latency values of 15.61668s, and a drop at node 60 of 0.15759. Additionally, a higher throughput was achieved with the new method. With the suggested method, it is possible to meet the energy consumption targets, delay value, and drop value at node 60. The proposed method reduces the drop value at node 80 to 0.15504, delay time to 15.64318s, and energy consumption to 2.00000mJ. These outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. Thus, the proposed system is more efficient than existing systems.

Abstract:In order to improve road safety and offer extra services to cars and their users, vehicular ad hoc networks, or VANETs, are essential parts of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The primary aim of this research is to suggest and assess a new approach for mitigating network congestion in VANET technology through the implementation of dynamic grouping of vehicles for safety (DGVS). To do this, virtual regions are created around cars using the DBSCAN and K Mean method. This allows vehicles to communicate directly with others within the same DGVS, eliminating the need to broadcast messages across the entire network.The ultimate goal is to drastically decrease traffic while preserving vital data transfer for VANET traffic control and safety. The suggested technique determines the optimal transmission rate in accordance with the existing channel circumstances, yielding a balanced performance concerning both packet delivery and channel congestion. With this novel method, cars may only talk to other vehicles that are in the same DGVS, thus there's no need to broadcast messages to the whole network. With the use of this technique, the efficacy of DGVS in reducing VANET congestion and enhancing network performance will be thoroughly assessed. The study's conclusions demonstrate how well the suggested dynamic grouping of vehicles for safety (DGVS) technique works to reduce VANET congestion. It was shown through simulation-based studies that, in comparison to current approaches, DGVS dramatically decrease network congestion, resulting in notable gains in network performance and decreased communication delay. Additionally, the study found a number of possible uses for DGVS in the transportation industry, such as emergency response, traffic management, and accident prevention.

Abstract:As vehicle population has been increasing on a daily basis, this leads towards increased number of accidents. To overcome this issue, Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) has come up with lot of novel ideas such as vehicular communication, navigation and traffic controlling. In this study, the main focus is on congestion control at the intersections which result from unclear ahead. For this purpose, a city lane and intersection model has been proposed to manage vehicle mobility. It shows the actual vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to traffic infrastructure communication. The experiment was conducted using Network Simulator 2 (NS 2). The implementation required modelling the road side unit, traffic control unit, and on-board unit along the roadside. In the simulation, including traffic volume, the distance between two signals, end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, throughput and packet lost were taken into consideration. These parameters ensure efficient communication between the traffic signals. This results in improved congestion control and road safety, since the vehicles will be signalled not to enter the junction box and information about other vehicles.

Abstract:VANET technology is an essential component of Intelligent Transportation Systems, which makes c communication between moving cars and stationary Road Side Units more accessible. It allows vehicle nodes to share crucial data among communication devices. VANET has significant potential to enhance traffic efficiency and road safety. This is accomplished by decreasing the chances of collisions between vehicles and reducing the number of accidents. Man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks are a crucial issue in VANET which needs significant consideration from researchers. To solve the problem of man-in-the-middle attacks, this article presents a dynamic and optimized routing approach for VANET conversation in smart cities by utilizing a chaotic secure multi-verse optimization algorithm. The strategy that has been proposed seeks to achieve the goal of ensuring safe and effective interaction between vehicles participating in VANETs by dynamically determining the optimal path for the exchange of data. A chaotic protect multi-verse optimization approach is used to generate several random sequences from which the most secure route may be selected. This is done to enhance the security of the VANET transmission network during transmission. The results of the trials indicate that the suggested technique is more successful in avoiding MITM and improving the functioning of VANET connections in settings that are characterized by intelligent cities.

Abstract:Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), which include vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), are a promising method for intelligent transportation systems. The major challenges of VANET protocols are symmetric links and changing topology of the networks and hence a proper routing method is necessary for VANET. A crucial issue with VANETs is the transmission of data from a starting point to the base station. To discover the least path with the lowest cost and fewest hops between the source and the destination, existing work uses a novel priority-based direction-aware collision avoidance (P-DVCA). To direct the ants to develop a shorter path with fewer hops for data transmission, the suggested method uses the prioritising and scheduling enhanced congestion control-based source ant colony optimization (ECC-ACO) for VANETs. Based on the message type and network situation, this technique provides precedence for privacy messages communications. Privacy messages can also be divided into beacon messages and occurrence messages. At that point, each message is routed into the appropriate queue predicated on its primary consideration, and each message in each queue is planned. When compared to renowned VANET communication architecture, simulation and analytical findings show that proposed ECC-ACO offers a respectable reduction in collisions.

Abstract:Congestion on the roads is a key problem to deal with, which wastes valuable time.. Due to high mobility rate and relative speed link failure occur very often. VANET is used to tackle the problem of congestion, and make decisions well in advance to avoid traffic congestion. In this paper we proposed a solution to detect and control the traffic congestion by using of both (V2V) and (V2I), as a result the drivers become aware of the location of congestion as well as way to avoid getting stuck in congestion. The congestion is detected by analyzing the data obtained by vehicular communication and road side units to avoid the traffic. Our proposition system is competent of detecting and controlling traffic congestion in real-time. V2V and V2I communication network is used to receive and send the messages. We simulate the result by using Congestion Detection and Control Algorithm (CDCA), and show that this is one effective way to control congestion. VANET Jamming and Adversarial Attack Defense for Autonomous Vehicle Safety

Abstract:The development of Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) technology is helping Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) services to become a reality. Vehicles can use VANETs to communicate safety messages on the road (while driving) and can inform their location and share road condition information in real-time. However, intentional and unintentional (e.g., packet/frame collision) wireless signal jamming can occur, which will degrade the quality of communication over the channel, preventing the reception of safety messages, and thereby posing a safety hazard to the vehicle's passengers. In this paper, VANET jamming detection applying Support Vector Machine (SVM) machine learning technology is used to classify jamming and non-jamming situations. The analysis is based on two cases which include normal traffic and heavy traffic conditions, where the results show that the probability of packet dropping will increase when many vehicles are using the wireless channel simultaneously. When using SVM classification, the most appropriate feature set applied in determining a jamming situation shows an accuracy of 98% or higher. Furthermore, more advanced jamming attacks need to be considered for preparation of more reliable and safer autonomous ITS services. Such research can use vehicular communication transmission and reception data based on selected published datasets. In this paper, an additional adversarial defense algorithm using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) method is proposed, which assumes that evolutionary attacks of the jammer will attempt to confuse the trained classifier. The simulation results show that applying DBSCAN can improve the accuracy by elimination of outliers before conducting classification testing.

Abstract:Vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) have garnered considerable attention for their potential to enhance road safety and facilitate advanced driver assistance systems. A fundamental aspect of VANET is the formation of stable clusters and cluster heads (CH) for improved network performance. Due to the dynamic nature of VANET and the different mobility of the vehicles, maintaining CH stability is significant. To address this issue, this study presents the network as connecting hypergraphs. The proposed approach uses an improved tensor-trace maximization-based spectral clustering algorithm (iTTM) and eigen heuristics to generate an optimal. The suggested clustering approach is followed by the CH selection based upon the four vehicle attributes: modularized link lifetime, connectivity level, relative speed, and consensus trust score. The multi-decision CRITIC approach will decide the CH in each cluster using those four attributes. These metrics have improved throughput and reduced packet delay to improve network performance. Simulation results, conducted in Delhi's Connaught Place using SUMO, demonstrate the proposed method's superiority in CH stability, throughput, and packet delay compared to existing algorithms. The state-of-the-art comparison is done on the criteria of CH stability, which comes out to be 84% in the proposed case and 82% in the previous work. The evaluation is done with recently published research on the CH rate of change and to validate the lower switching frequency in the network. The network is evaluated with different average speeds of the vehicles, and superior performance is noted in the proposed approach with the increase in lesser switching frequency with higher average speed than state-of-the-art.

Robust Routing Optimization in VANET Communication Based on Bellman–Ford Multitier Metaheuristic Algorithms

Abstract:In modern cities, vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) hold great promise for improving safety on the roads, traffic control, and communicating. The constantly changing and intricate nature of VANETs hampers adequate routing due to a variety of factors. The work examines the use of a multitiered metaheuristic algorithm that combines Bellman–Ford routing with the Fire Hawk, Gannet Optimization, and Mayfly Optimization algorithms to find optimal routing solutions for VANETs. The suggested work addresses network topological dynamics, actual time limitations, flexibility, connectivity problems, and security issues, in addition to the different quality of service (QoS) requirements in VANETs. Bellman–Ford serves as the foundational routing layer and maintains communication, whereas Fire Hawk, Gannet Optimization, and Mayfly Optimization improve and optimize routing patterns at subsequent levels. The multitier approach aims to strike a balance between the rational and probabilistic aspects of routing so as to satisfy the minimal latency needs of applications that are safety‐critical and respond quickly to the rapid changes in VANETs. The suggested work is evaluated with a traffic density ranging from 500 to 5000 with a step size of 500, and it has been observed that for the highest traffic density of 5000, the proposed work obtains a latency of 3.88 ms, data delivery rate of 0.944, a throughput of 2.94 Mbps, and energy efficiency of 97.14%. The proposed work remains robust compared to integrating state‐of‐the‐art metaheuristic algorithms such as ECRA, HOPRP, and CM. Overall, the proposed routing techniques increase routing efficiency in VANETs and make it possible to create vehicle communication networks that are more trustworthy and safe.

Abstract:The Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is an innovative technology that allows vehicles to connect with neighboring roadside structures to deliver intelligent transportation applications. To deliver safe communication among vehicles, a reliable routing approach is required. Due to the excessive mobility and frequent variation in network topology, establishing a reliable routing for VANETs takes a lot of work. In VANETs, transmission links are extremely susceptible to interruption; as a result, the routing efficiency of these constantly evolving networks requires special attention. To promote reliable routing in VANETs, we propose a novel context-aware reliable routing protocol that integrates k-means clustering and support vector machine (SVM) in this paper. The k-means clustering divides the routes into two clusters named GOOD and BAD. The cluster with high mean square error (MSE) is labelled as BAD, and the cluster with low MSE is labelled as GOOD. After training the routing data with SVM, the performance of each route from source to target is improved in terms of Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), throughput, and End to End Delay (E2E). The proposed protocol will achieve improved routing efficiency with these changes.

Abstract:As on-road vehicles are increasing every year, safety on the road has become one of the major concerns. Therefore, Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) becomes as an important role on the road. In VANET, communication occurs between vehicles and the infrastructures. During broadcasting, an emergency message is transferred to the surrounding vehicles to alert other vehicles in the area. However, blind flooding in wireless network might result in redundant rebroadcast, contentions and collision with the neighbouring nodes. This situation is named as broadcast storm. Broadcast storm might lead to the losses of the information or lead to the wrong information being transmitted to the neighbouring nodes. The paper aims to design a broadcast control system which is able to optimize the broadcast process in VANET. Vehicular network is modelled in Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO) and the algorithm is formulated in MATLAB. Data is extracted from SUMO through Traffic Control Interface for MATLAB (TraCI4Matlab). The broadcast protocol and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm are formulated in this paper. At the same time PSO is modified for the broadcast enhancement. Results showed that after parameters tuning the modified PSO is able to broadcast into a larger coverage area at a faster rate.

Summary A vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is a wireless network composed of a collection of mobility devices that link via a wireless channel without the need for permanent infrastructure or centralized administration. Multicasting is a method of sending data from a single node to multiple recipients at the same time. Because of its energizing network topology and constricted resources, a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) presents a number of issues. Because network execution measurements such as latency, bandwidth, throughput, and energy fluctuate so rapidly owing to node movement, these network properties in a wireless mobile ad hoc network are ambiguous. Because of the influence of these uncertainty issues, determining the top‐grade path from the originating node to a set of recipient nodes is challenging. In order to preserve network resources, we used a Swarm Intelligence‐based fuzzy logic strategy in this study that includes channel caliber factor and connection termination time to try to alleviate these uncertainty issues. This strategy integrates all of the network indicators available for the routes into an individual quantity named as fuzzy cost or cost of communication. The routes with the lowest fuzzy cost will be regarded optimum, and data will be delivered along this route from the originating point to a set of receivers. The simulation was carried out using NS‐3.38 and MATLAB, and the results reveal that the suggested protocol, HACOFLM, outperforms ODMRP, OFAODV, MAODV, and DFMCRP by means of packet delivery ratio, latency, control packet overhead, and throughput. DFMCRP outperforms MAODV by 3% to 6%, OFAODV by 13% to 19%, and ODMRP by 16% to 23%. According to HACOSMO, based on the number of vehicles and velocities, routing overhead is 7% to 10% less than DFMCRP, 9% to 13% less than MAODV, 17% to 29% less than OFAODV, and 22% to 36% less than ODMRP. It improvise throughput by 4% to 6% when contrasted to DFMCRP, 5% to 9% when contrasted to MAODV, 10% to 14% when contrasted to OFAODV, and 14% to 23% when contrasted to ODMRP.

Abstract:Urban areas are more prone to accidents and traffic congestions due to ever-increasing vehicles and poor traffic management. The increase in the emission of harmful gases is another important issue associated with vehicular traffic. Attaining a level of QOS is often challenging as it has to meet the eco-friendly factors along with reliable and safe transportation. Smart and accurate congestion management systems in VANET can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and health issues. To fulfil the requirements of QOS the congestion control methods should consider the properties such as fairness, decentralization, network characteristics, and application demands in VANET. We proposed an Adaptive Congestion Aware Routing Protocol (ACARP) for VANET using the dynamic artificial intelligence (AI) technique. The ACARP presents the adaptive congestion detection algorithm using the type-2 fuzzy logic AI technique. The fuzzy model detects the congestion around each vehicle using three fuzzy inputs viz. bandwidth occupancy, link quality, and moving speed. This is followed by inference model to estimate congestion probability for each vehicle. Finally, defuzzification determines status of congestion detection using the pre-defined threshold value for each vehicle. The status of congestion and its probability values were utilized to establish safe and reliable routes for data transmission. It also saves significant communication overhead and hence congestions in the network. The simulation results provide the evidence that the proposed protocol improves the QOS and assist in reduction of traffic congestions significantly.

Abstract:A vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a type of Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) that uses wireless routers inside each vehicle to act as a node. The need for effective solutions to urban traffic congestion issues has increased recently due to the growing number of automobile connections in the car communications system. To ensure a high level of service and avoid unsafe situations brought on by congestion or a broadcast storm, data dissemination in a VANET network requires an effective approach. Effective multi-objective optimization methods are required to tackle this because of the implied competing nature of multi-metric approaches. A meta-heuristic technique with a high level of solution interactions can handle efficient optimization. To accomplish this, a meta-heuristic search algorithm particle optimization was chosen. In this paper, we have created a network consisting of vehicles as nodes. The aim is to send emergency messages immediately to the stationary nodes. The normal messages will be sent to the FIFO queue. To send these messages to a destination node, multiple routes were found using Time delay-based Multipath Routing (TMR) method, and to find the optimal and secure path Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used. Our method is compared with different optimization methods such as Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Firefly Optimization (FFO), and Enhanced Flying Ant Colony Optimization (EFACO). Significant improvements in terms of throughput and packet loss ratio, reduced end-to-end delay, rounding overhead ratio, and the energy consumption are revealed by the experimental results.

Abstract:Recently, applying Software-Defined Networking (SDN) in automotive industry has sparked a lot of interest due to its capacity to ensure focused organization across the board coupled with its vast versatility of isolating data from the control plane. However, the major concern in traffic network is that varied crisis and diversion messages are expected to be shared or brought into by the connected vehicles. Thus, disclosure of this information results in an evaluation of the steering and control of such messages. This research aims at employing SDN-assisted technique in heterogeneous vehicular organizations in executing information traffic-using optimal course determination and guiding in situations like a blockage in Vehicle Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs). To realize this, a workable traffic reproduction model is proposed and the experiments realized a re-enactment findings in terms of Round Trip Time (RTT) and Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and improves the conventional information flow structure.

Abstract:Abstract Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) have emerged in time to reduce on-road fatalities and provide efficient information exchange for entertainment-related applications to users in a well-organized manner. VANETs are the most instrumental elements in the Internet of Things (IoT). The objective lies in connecting every vehicle to every other vehicle to improve the user’s quality of life. This aim of continuous connectivity and information exchange leads to the generation of more information in the medium, which could congest the medium to a larger extent. Decentralized congestion control (DCC) techniques are specified to reduce medium congestion and provide various safety applications. This article presents two DCC mechanisms that adapt message rate and data rate combined with transmit power control mechanism. These mechanisms are developed under multi-state active design proposed by the standard. The proposed methods deliver better performance over other mechanisms in terms of power, channel load, and channel utilization using real-time-based scenarios by simulation in SUMO.

Abstract:During the last decade, the research on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) has improved exponentially in real-life scenarios to provide optimized transport network performance. It is a matter of importance that alert messages are delivered promptly to prevent vehicular traffic problems. The fact is an ITS system per se could be a part of a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) which is an extension of a wireless network. In all sorts of wireless ad hoc networks, the network topology is subjected to change due to the mobility of network nodes; therefore, an existing explored route between two nodes could be demolished in a minor fraction of time. When it comes to the VANETs, the topology likely changes due to the high velocity of nodes. On the other hand, time is a crucial factor playing an important role in message handling between the network's nodes. In this paper, we propose Time delay-based Multipath Routing (TMR) protocol that effectively identifies an optimized path for packet delivery to the destination vehicle with a minimal time delay. Our algorithm gives a higher priority to alert messages compared to normal messages. It also selects the routes with the short round-trip time (RTT) within the RTT threshold. As a result, our algorithm would realize two goals. Firstly, it would speed up the data transmission rate and deliver data packets, particularly warning messages, to the destination vehicle promptly and therefore avoid vehicular problems such as car accidents. Secondly, the TMR algorithm reduces the data traffic load, particularly of the normal messages, to alleviate the pressure on the network and therefore avoids network congestion and data collisions. This, in turn, lessens the packets' retransmissions. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocol, the TMR has been compared with the other protocols such as AOMDV, FF-AOMDV, EGSR, QMR, and ISR. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed protocol proves its excellent performance compared to other protocols.

Abstract:In urban areas, traffic congestion has become a serious phenomenon resulting in a great waste of time and fuel. How to detect road condition and disseminate traffic information effectively has become a significant challenge. Recently, the technology of vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) has been utilized to deal with this problem, and become an important component of the intelligent transportation system (ITS). As two basic paradigms, both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-RSU (V2R) communications have their own advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, we propose two novel approaches based on V2V and V2R communications respectively to explore a more suitable candidate for the traffic management. The travel time of vehicles is selected as the common indicator to evaluate the traffic state of route. On the basis of it, a routing algorithm is designed to provide a reasonable route for drivers. Finally, our two approaches are validated in a realistic scenario by Veins. The simulation results show that the performance of V2R scheme is restricted by the limited transmission range of RSU, while the V2V scheme is more appropriate for traffic information dissemination if the broadcast storm is well solved.
