Abstract:This study introduces a novel diagnostic modality for the detection of feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) antibodies in feline serum by using fluorescent microsphere immunochromatographic test strips (FM-ICTS). Leveraging the inherent specificity of antigen-antibody interactions, the FM-ICTS approach demonstrates considerable potential for efficient and accurate FPV antibody detection within a short timeframe. The FM-ICTS method demonstrates strong diagnostic performance, with consistent accuracy and stability over time. PBS buffer dilution enables detection across the range of FPV antibody haemagglutination inhibition (HI) titres in both healthy and immunized or infected cats. A high correlation (R2 = 0.9733) between the T/C ratio and FPV antibody titres confirms the method's effectiveness in quantifying these titres. Clinical validation with 84 samples supports its reliability by matching results with HI assays. Additionally, stability tests show that the test strips maintain performance during storage, with a coefficient of variation (CV) below 12% over three months at 25°C. This innovative FM-ICTS framework emerges as a promising avenue for expedient and dependable disease diagnosis within the realm of veterinary science, offering implications for timely disease management and surveillance.

Development of a LAMP Assay for Detection of Leishmania Infantum Infection in Dogs Using Conjunctival Swab Samples

Abstract:Background Leishmania infantum infections in dogs play a crucial role in the transmission of pathogens causing visceral leishmaniasis to humans in the Gansu province, northwest China. To be able to control zoonotic transmission of the parasite to humans, a non-invasive loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay to specifically detect L. infantum infections in dogs was developed. Methods The primers used in the LAMP assay were designed to target kinetoplast DNA minicircle sequences of the L. infantum isolate MCAN/CN/90/SC and tested using DNA isolated from promastigotes of different Leishmania species. The LAMP assay was evaluated with conjunctional swab samples obtained from 111 and 33 dogs living in an endemic and a non-endemic region of zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis in the Gansu province, respectively. The LAMP assay was also compared with conventional PCR, ELISA and microscopy using conjunctional swab, serum and bone marrow samples from the dogs, respectively. Results The LAMP assay detected 1 fg of L. infantum DNA purified from cultured promastigotes which was 10-fold more sensitive than a conventional PCR test using Leishmania genus-specific primers. No cross reaction was observed with DNA isolated from promastigotes of L. donovani , L. major , L. tropica , and L. braziliensis , and the L. infantum reference strain MHOM/TN/80/IPT1. The L. infantum -positive rates obtained for field-collected samples were 61.3 %, 58.6 %, 40.5 % and 10.8 % by LAMP, PCR, ELISA and microscopy, respectively. As only one out of the 33 samples from control dogs from the non-endemic region of zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis was positive by the LAMP assay and the PCR test, the observed true negative rate (specificity) was 97 % for both methods. Conclusion This study has shown that the non-invasive, conjunctional swab-based LAMP assay developed was more sensitive in the detection of leishmaniasis in dogs than PCR, ELISA and microscopy. The findings indicate that the LAMP assay is a sensitive and specific method for the field surveillance of domestic dogs, particularly of asymptomatic canines, in ZVL-endemic areas in western China.
Studies on the expression of an H‐2K/human growth hormone fusion gene in giant transgenic mice.

Abstract:Transgenic mice carrying the H‐2K/human growth hormone (hGH) fusion gene were produced by microinjecting into the pronucleus of fertilized eggs DNA molecules containing 2 kb of the 5′ flanking sequences (including promoter) of the class I H‐2Kb gene joined to the coding sequences of the hGH gene. Thirteen transgenic mice were obtained which all contained detectable levels of hGH hormone in their blood. Nine grew larger than their control litter‐mates. Endogenous H‐2Kb and exogenous hGH mRNA levels were analysed by S1 nuclease digestion experiments. hGH transcripts were found in all the tissues examined and the pattern of expression paralleled that of endogenous H‐2K gene expression, being high in liver and lymphoid organs and low in muscle and brain. Thus 2 kb of the 5′ promoter/regulatory region of the H‐2K gene are sufficient to ensure regulated expression of hGH in transgenic mice. This promoter may therefore be of use to target the expression of different exogenous genes in most tissues of transgenic mice and to study the biological role of the corresponding proteins in different cellular environments.
Detection of Feline Coronavirus Using Microcantilever Sensors.

Abstract:This work demonstrated the feasibility of detecting severe acute respiratory syndrome associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) using microcantilever technology by showing that the feline coronavirus (FIP) type I virus can be detected by a microcantilever modified by feline coronavirus (FIP) type I anti-viral antiserum. A microcantilever modified by FIP type I anti-viral antiserum was developed for the detection of FIP type I virus. When the FIP type I virus positive sample is injected into the fluid cell where the microcantilever is held, the microcantilever bends upon the recognition of the FIP type I virus by the antiserum on the surface of the microcantilever. A negative control sample that does not contain FIP type I virus did not cause any bending of the microcantilever. The detection limit of the sensor was 0.1 µg ml-1 when the assay time was <1 h.
Development of a nested PCR assay for detection of feline infectious peritonitis virus in clinical specimens

Abstract:A diagnostic test for feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) infection based on a nested PCR (nPCR) assay was developed and tested with FIPV, feline enteric coronavirus (FECV), canine coronavirus (CCV), and transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and clinical fluid samples from cats with effusive feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). The target sequence for the assay is in the S1 region of the peplomer protein E2 gene. A vaccine strain of FIPV and two wild-type FIPV strains tested positive, but FECV, TGEV, and CCV tested negative. Preliminary tests with 12 cats with clinical evidence of effusive FIP and 11 cats with an illness associated with effusions, but attributed to other causes, were performed. Eleven of the 12 cats with effusive FIP tested positive, while 1 was negative. Ten of the 11 cats ill from other causes tested negative, while 1 was positive. On the basis of clinical laboratory and histopathologic criteria, the preliminary sensitivity and specificity of the assay were 91.6 and 94%, respectively.

Abstract:Four insects species have emerged as important pests of alfalfa in the Western United States during the past decade. Cowpea aphid has long been a resident insect of the Western United States, but became a significant alfalfa pest during the past two years. The silverleaf whitefly has been a serious pest of alfalfa since 1991. Silverleaf whitefly reduces hay yield and contaminates alfalfa hay with a sugary excrement, “honeydew”, causing problem with harvest and marketing. Spider mites have long been a pest of alfalfa grown for seed and have become a serious pest of alfalfa grown for hay production since the late 1980's. Spotted alfalfa aphid has been a pest of alfalfa in the United States for nearly a half -century, but has been kept in check by highly resistant alfalfa varieties. During the mid-1990's, spotted alfalfa started showing signs of overcoming the host plant resistance in alfalfa.

Abstract:Background Canine parvovirus (CPV) and feline parvovirus (FPV) are causative agents of diarrhea in dogs and cats, which manifests as depression, vomiting, fever, loss of appetite, leucopenia, and diarrhea in young animals. CPV and FPV can single or mixed infect cats and cause disease. To diagnose sick animals effectively, an effective virus diagnostic and genome typing method with high sensitivity and specificity is required. Results In this study, a conserved segment containing one SNP A4408C of parvovirus was used for real-time PCR amplification. Subsequently, data were auto-analyzed and plotted using Applied Biosystems® High Resolution Melt Software v3.1. Results showed that CPV and FPV can be detected simultaneously in a single PCR reaction. No cross-reactions were observed with canine adenovirus, canine coronavirus, and canine distemper virus. The assay had a detection limit of 4.2 genome copies of CPV and FPV. A total of 80 clinical samples were subjected to this assay, as well as to conventional PCR-sequence assay and virus isolation. Results showed that the percentage of agreement of the assay and other methods are high. Conclusions In short, we have developed a diagnostic test for the accurate detection and differentiation of CPV and FPV in fecal samples, which is also cost effective.
Rapid and Visual Detection of Toxoplasma gondii in Blood Samples from Pet Cats and Dogs by Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification

Abstract:Background: Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular parasite that invades nearly all nucleated cells of a broad spectrum of vertebrate hosts, and which may cause serious disease in immunocompromised patients, as well as in the immunologically incompetent fetus. This study aimed to establish a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technique to rapidly detect T. gondii in the blood infection by targeting the 529 bp repeat element of T. gondii. Materials and Methods: A turbidity monitoring system, together with visual reagent, was used to test the amplification result of the LAMP assay. In addition, the specificity and sensitivity of the LAMP assay were measured. Results: The results suggest that the successfully established LAMP assay profile can detect the DNA of T. gondii at 67°C within 40 min. The limit of detection of the LAMP assay was 101 copies/μL. No cross reaction occurred with Plasmodium vivax, Toxocara cati, Clonorchis sinensi, Spirometra mansoni or Cryptosporidium parvum. We validated the developed LAMP assay by detecting T. gondii in DNA extracted from 353 blood samples collected from domestic cats and dogs. The percentages of positive results in detecting these blood samples by LAMP and conventional PCR were 5.38% and 2.83%, respectively. Conclusions: Our findings show that the developed LAMP assay offers higher analytical sensitivity than conventional PCR and good analytical specificity, minimizes aerosol contamination, and can be applied to on-site rapid detection of T. gondii.
Pharmacokinetics of atropine in children.

Abstract:The serum concentration of atropine was determined both by radioreceptor assay (RRA) and by radioimmunoassay (RIA) following a single 0.02 mg/kg i.v. injection of 7 girls (age 6-15 years) and 16 boys (age 4-15 years) at the beginning of a combination anesthesia. RIA appeared to be useful in the clinical kinetic studies of this alkaloid, but RRA determined the whole antimuscarinic activity produced by atropine plus glycopyrrolate when the latter agent was used as an anticurarizing component together with neostigmine at the end of anesthesia. A biexponential serum decay curve of atropine was demonstrated by RIA with a very rapid distribution phase (t1/2 = 1-2 min) and a quite high tissue distribution (mean Vd beta = 2.6 l/kg), but due to the effective clearance of the drug (mean Cl total = 0.310-0.384 l/kg/h) the mean elimination phase half-life was around 6.5 hours. No age or gender dependency was found in the pharmacokinetics of atropine.
Ultrasensitive and visual detection of Feline herpesvirus type-1 and Feline calicivirus using one-tube dRPA-Cas12a/Cas13a assay

Abstract:Background: Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV) and Feline calicivirus (FCV) are the primary co-infecting pathogens that cause upper respiratory tract disease in cats. However, there are currently no visual detection assays available for on-site testing. Here, we develop an ultrasensitive and visual detection method based on dual recombinase polymerase amplification (dRPA) reaction and the hybrid Cas12a/Cas13a trans-cleavage activities in a one-tube reaction system, referred to as one-tube dRPA-Cas12a/Cas13a assay. Results: The recombinant plasmid DNAs, crRNAs, and RPA oligonucleotides targeting the FCV ORF1 gene and FHV-1 TK gene were meticulously prepared. Subsequently, dual RPA reactions were performed followed by screening of essential reaction components for hybrid CRISPR-Cas12a (targeting the FHV-1 TK gene) and CRISPR-Cas13a (targeting the FCV ORF1 gene) trans-cleavage reaction. As a result, we successfully established an ultra-sensitive and visually detectable method for simultaneous detection of FCV and FHV-1 nucleic acids using dRPA and CRISPR/Cas-powered technology in one-tube reaction system. Visual readouts were displayed using either a fluorescence detector (Fluor-based assay) or lateral flow dipsticks (LDF-based assay). As expected, this optimized assay exhibited high specificity towards only FHV-1 and FCV without cross-reactivity with other feline pathogens while achieving accurate detection for both targets with limit of detection at 2.4 × 10- 1 copies/μL for the FHV-1 TK gene and 5.5 copies/μL for the FCV ORF1 gene, respectively. Furthermore, field detection was conducted using the dRPA-Cas12a/Cas13a assay and the reference real-time PCR methods for 56 clinical samples collected from cats with URTD. Comparatively, the results of Fluor-based assay were in exceptional concordance with the reference real-time PCR methods, resulting in high sensitivity (100% for both FHV-1 and FCV), specificity (100% for both FHV-1 and FCV), as well as consistency (Kappa values were 1.00 for FHV-1 and FCV). However, several discordant results for FHV-1 detection were observed by LDF-based assay, which suggests its prudent use and interpretaion for clinical detection. In spite of this, incorporating dRPA-Cas12a/Cas13a assay and visual readouts will facilitate rapid and accurate detection of FHV-1 and FCV in resource-limited settings. Conclusions: The one-tube dRPA-Cas12a/Cas13a assay enables simultaneously ultrasensitive and visual detection of FHV-1 and FCV with user-friendly modality, providing unparalleled convenience for FHV-1 and FCV co-infection surveillance and decision-making of URTD management.

Short- and long-term effects of a dietary yeast beta-glucan (Macrogard) and alginic acid (Ergosan) preparation on immune response in sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax).

Abstract:The present study investigated the immunomodulatory activity of Ergosan, an algal extract containing alginic acid, and Macrogard, a yeast extract containing beta-glucans, on innate and specific immunity in sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). Four cycles of experimental feeding using normal fish feed formulation (control group) supplemented with Ergosan (0.5%) or Macrogard (0.1%) were performed at 60-day intervals (15 days of treatment+45 days of suspension). Serum complement, lysozyme, total proteins and heat shock protein (HSP) concentrations were measured at 15, 30 and 45 days from the end of the first 15-day feeding cycle (short term) and 45 days after the end of each feeding cycle over a 35-week period (long term). The percentage of B- and T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood leucocytes and gut were measured over long-term trial. Significant elevation (P < 0.05) in serum complement activity occurred in sea bass fed with alginic acid and glucans, at 15 days from the end of first cycle of treatment. Significant elevation (P < 0.05) in serum lysozyme, gill and liver HSP concentration were observed in the same experimental groups at 30 days from the end of treatment, whereas a significant increase (P < 0.05) of complement activity was only observed in fish that received an Ergosan diet. At 45 days from the end of treatment, complement, lysozyme and HSP concentration did not differ among groups. Over the long-term period, no significant differences were observed in innate and specific immune parameters, survival, growth performances and conversion index in treated and control fish. A dramatic decrease of both innate and acquired immune parameters was observed during the winter season in all groups, followed by a partial recovery when water temperature increased. Reduction in complement and lysozyme activities was significatively correlated (p < 0.01) to water temperature variation. The results suggested the potential of alginic acid and beta-glucans to activate some innate immune responses in sea bass, and particularly under conditions of immunodepression related to environmental stress.
Phosphate and the development of nephrocalcinosis in rats fed diets containing alpha protein.

Abstract:It has been suggested that nephrocalcinosis in rats fed diets containing alkali-treated soy protein may be due to a high availability of phosphate in the diet. In the present study, the development of nephrocalcinosis in rats fed a diet containing 20% alpha protein (an alkali-treated soy protein) was compared with that in rats fed the same diet supplemented with additional phosphate. Phosphate supplementation of the alpha protein diet produced a form of nephrocalcinosis that was morphologically different, at both the light- and electronmicroscopic level, from that obtained with the unsupplemented diet but was quite similar to that obtained with a phosphate-supplemented standard commercial laboratory diet. Levels of serum and urinary calcium and phosphorus and urinary cyclic AMP suggested that a phosphate-induced secondary hyperparathyroidism was present in the rats fed either of the phosphate-supplemented diets, but not in the rats fed the unsupplemented alpha protein diet. The results of this study suggest that nephrocalcinosis in rats fed a diet containing 20% alpha protein, without additional phosphate, is not typically phosphate-induced.
TaqMan-based real-time polymerase chain reaction for the detection of feline chaphamaparvovirus

Abstract:Feline chaphamaparvovirus (FeChPV) is a new viral strain detected in Chinese Mainland in recent years. The symptoms mainly include diarrhea and bloody stool in young cats, which can lead to death in severe cases. In this study, a TaqMan-based real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) with specific primers and TaqMan probes based on the VP1 gene sequence of FeChPV was performed to detect the virus. The established qPCR indicated that there is no cross-reaction of FeChPV with other common feline viruses. The minimum detection limit of the established qPCR method is 3.75 × 10 copies/μL, while conventional PCR is 3.75 × 10 3 copies/μL. The result that the proposed qPCR protocol was shown to be 100 times more sensitive than conventional PCR. The correlation coefficients exceeded 0.995, and the amplification efficiency was 98%. The difference within and between groups is less than 5%, indicating that the established method has good repeatability. The results of clinical sample detection shown that 16 positive samples were detected from 45 stool samples by the established qPCR method. The conventional PCR method only detected 3 positive samples. In conclusion, the established qPCR method is fast and effective in identifying FeChPV, with higher specificity and sensitivity. It could be used as a diagnostic tool to quantitatively detect the virus content, which is conducive to disease monitoring and epidemiological investigation.

Development of TaqMan-based real-time RT-PCR assay based on N gene for the quantitative detection of feline morbillivirus

Abstract:Background: Morbilliviruses are categorized under the family of Paramyxoviridae and have been associated with severe diseases, such as Peste des petits ruminants, canine distemper and measles with evidence of high morbidity and/or could cause major economic loss in production of livestock animals, such as goats and sheep. Feline morbillivirus (FeMV) is one of the members of Morbilliviruses that has been speculated to cause chronic kidney disease in cats even though a definite relationship is still unclear. To date, FeMV has been detected in several continents, such as Asia (Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia), Europe (Italy, German, Turkey), Africa (South Africa), and South and North America (Brazil, Unites States). This study aims to develop a TaqMan real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) assay targeting the N gene of FeMV in clinical samples to detect early phase of FeMV infection. Results: A specific assay was developed, since no amplification was observed in viral strains from the same family of Paramyxoviridae, such as canine distemper virus (CDV), Newcastle disease virus (NDV), and measles virus (MeV), and other feline viruses, such as feline coronavirus (FCoV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV). The lower detection limit of the assay was 1.74 × 104 copies/μL with Cq value of 34.32 ± 0.5 based on the cRNA copy number. The coefficient of variations (CV) values calculated for both intra- and inter-assay were low, ranging from 0.34-0.53% and 1.38-2.03%, respectively. In addition, the clinical sample evaluation using this assay showed a higher detection rate, with 25 (35.2%) clinical samples being FeMV-positive compared to 11 (15.5%) using conventional RT-PCR, proving a more sensitive assay compared to the conventional RT-PCR. Conclusions: The TaqMan-based real-time RT-PCR assay targeting the N gene described in this study is more sensitive, specific, rapid, and reproducible compared to the conventional RT-PCR assay targeting the N gene, which could be used to detect early infection in cats.

Abstract:Feline parvovirus causes infectious diseases, and Chaphamaparvovirus is a novel type of feline parvovirus. The present study aims to establish a method that can be used in clinical rapid detection of feline Chaphamaparvovirus (FeChPV), for facilitate the timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of sick animals and shorten the diagnosis time of clinical diseases. The experimental samples in this study are from 20 cats undergoing physical examination in Hefei Xin'an Animal Hospital. An SYBR Green I-based qPCR assay was performed to detect FeChPV. A pair of specific primers was designed based on the VP1 gene to perform the assay. The detection assay showed high sensitivity with a detection limit of 1.07 × 101 copies/μL and high specificity for detection of only the target virus. The coefficients of Ct value variation were calculated to assess the reproducibility of the qPCR assay, and the inter- and intra-assay ranged from 0.21 to 0.67% and 0.10 to 0.56%, respectively. The result of clinical sample detection showed that the infection rate of FeChPV in 124 samples detected using qPCR assay was higher than that with conventional PCR. The established qPCR assay could be a low-cost, convenient, and reliable method to detect FeChPV in clinical practice.

Abstract:Feline bocavirus 1 (FBoV-1) may be associated with diarrhea in cats. In this study, a SYBR Green I-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assay was established to detect FBoV-1. The melting curve showed a single melting peak at 83.0 ℃. The results of sensitivity showed that the detection limit of the qPCR was 3.87 × 10<sup>1</sup> copies/μL. Of note, the detection limit of the conventional polymerase chain reaction (cPCR) was 3.87 × 10<sup>3</sup> copies/μL. The highest intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation (CV%) were 0.98% and 1.42%, respectively. The positive detection rate of 128 clinical samples using the qPCR and the cPCR was 7.0% (9/128) and 4.7% (6/128), respectively. Taken together, these results indicated that the established qPCR assay has good sensitivity, high specificity, and good reproducibility. Therefore, it could provide support for the rapid and efficient clinical detection of FBoV-1.

Abstract:Since their recent discovery, the prevalence of novel feline enteric viruses, including feline bocavirus 1 (FBoV-1), feline astrovirus (FeAstV), and feline kobuvirus (FeKoV), has been reported in China. Co-infections of these viruses with feline parvovirus (FPV) are common causes of diarrhea in cats. Viral co-infections are difficult to identify because of their non-specific clinical signs. To detect and identify these viruses, a quick and specific pathogen-testing approach is required. Here, we establish a real-time PCR (qPCR) based on multiple TaqMan probes for the simultaneous detection of FBoV-1, FeAstV, FeKoV, and FPV. Specific primers and TaqMan fluorescent probes were designed to ensure specificity. The results showed that the detection limit of single qPCR was up to 10 copies, and the detection limit of multiplex qPCR was up to 100 copies, with correlation coefficients >0.995 in all cases. Clinical sample detection revealed a 25.19% (34/135) total rate of co-infection among the viruses and a 1.48% (2/135) quadruple infection rate. Thus, this multiplex qPCR approach can serve as a quick, sensitive, and specific diagnostic tool for FBoV-1, FeAstV, FeKoV, and FPV identification, and it may be utilized for routine surveillance of these emerging and reemerging feline enteric viruses.
Evaluation of a Revised Point-of-Care Test for the Detection of Feline Leukaemia p27 Antigen and Anti-p15E Antibodies in Cats

Abstract:The first point-of-care (PoC) test (v-RetroFel®; modified version 2021) determining the presence of FeLV p27 antigen and FeLV anti-p15E antibodies has become recently commercially available to identify different feline leukaemia virus (FeLV) infection outcomes. This study aimed to assess this PoC test's performance concerning FeLV p27 antigen and FeLV anti-p15E antibody detection. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values (PPV, NPV) were assessed after ten minutes (recommended) and 20 min (prolonged) incubation times. The test results were evaluated as either positive or negative. Serum samples from 934 cats were included, originating from Italy (n = 269), Portugal (n = 240), Germany (n = 318), and France (n = 107). FeLV p27 antigen and anti-p15E antibodies were measured by reference standard ELISAs and compared to the PoC test results. The PoC test was easy to perform and the results easy to interpret. Sensitivity and specificity for FeLV p27 antigen were 82.8% (PPV: 57.8%) and 96.0% (NPV: 98.8%) after both, ten and 20 minues of incubation time. Sensitivity and specificity for anti-p15E antibodies were 31.4% (PPV: 71.6%) and 96.9% (NPV: 85.1%) after ten minutes incubation time; sensitivity was improved by a prolonged incubation time (20 min) to 40.0% (PPV: 76.3%), while specificity remained the same (96.9%, NPV: 86.7%). Despite the improved sensitivity using the prolonged incubation time, lower than ideal sensitivities for both p27 antigen and especially anti-p15E antibodies were found, indicating that the PoC test in its current version needs further improvement prior to application in the field.

Abstract:The loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay is a novel method that rapidly amplifies DNA with high specificity and sensitivity under isothermal conditions. In this study, we established a LAMP assay with six primers targeting a highly conserved region of Toxoplasma gondii ITS-1 sequence. The amplification protocol completes within 30 min under isothermal condition in a 65°C water bath while specificity tests confirmed no cross-reactivity with DNA templates of Neospora caninum, Eimeria tenella, Cryptosporidium parvum, Listeria monocytogenes and Streptococcus suis. The detection limit of the LAMP assay was 0.9 fg T. gondii genomic DNA, a sensitivity that was 10-fold higher than that of a conventional PCR assay. Both LAMP assay and conventional PCR were applied to detect T. gondii genomic DNA in 118 diaphragm samples obtained from pig farms in Zhejiang Province, China. Our results showed that the LAMP assay is more sensitive than conventional PCR (13.56% and 9.32%). The LAMP assay established in this study provides a simple, specific, sensitive and rapid method of T. gondii genomic DNA detection, hence is expected to plays an important role in the monitoring of T. gondii contamination in various food products.
