Abstract:Based on the stability theory of fractional order systems, an effective but theoretically rigorous nonlinear control method is proposed to synchronize the fractional order chaotic systems. Using this method, chaos synchronization between two identical fractional order unified systems is studied. Simulation results are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract:This paper studies the chaotic behaviours of the fractional-order unified chaotic system. Based on the approxima- tion method in frequency domain, it proposes an electronic circuit model of tree shape to realize the fractional-order operator. According to the tree shape model, an electronic circuit is designed to realize the 2.7-order unified chaotic system. Numerical simulations and circuit experiments have verified the existence of chaos in the fraction-order unified system.

Abstract:It is shown that the chaotic Zeeman effect of a quantum system can be formally viewed as a result of fractional calculus. The fractional calculation brings into the equations the angle formed between the internal and the external magnetic field applied to the atom. The further the fractional coefficient is from the ordinary case corresponding to , the more important the chaotic effect is. The case corresponding to does not depend on the angle , obtaining the nonchaotic situation known in the literature. Non-Gaussian distributions correspond to non-stationary variables. Considering a Lorenzian type distribution, we can make a connection between the fractional formalism and random matrix theory. The connection validates the link between fractional calculus and chaos, and at the same time due to the angle, it gives the phenomenon a physical interpretation.

Abstract:Dynamical systems and fractional differential equations can be modeled using variable-order differential operators. In this study, the dynamics of a variable-order fractional Lorenz–Lü–Chen system with variable-order and constant-order derivatives are examined. We propose a generalized numerical scheme for simulating fractional differential operators with power-law kernels. The numerical scheme is based on the fundamental theorem of fractional calculus and the Lagrange polynomial interpolation. Furthermore, we examine how random parameter variations affect an approximate unified chaotic model with variable order. Specifically, we examine chaos disappearance in systems that rapidly switch from one family to another. In our simulation study, we show that increasing the key parameter and reducing its reciprocal fractional order together can suppress chaotic fluctuations much earlier than if the parameters remain fixed. Different simulation techniques have also been explored for fractional order switched chaotic systems with random parameters. The proposed system can also be solved using power series methods. The novelty of this paper is not to examine weak chaos masked by additive noise, but rather to describe the dynamics of systems that are subjected to such noise as parameter switching. By adjusting the structure, parameters, and order of the system, different chaotic oscillations and special dynamic behaviors of the Lorenz–Lü–Chen family chaos system are discovered and analyzed.

Abstract:Fractional kinetic equations are investigated in order to describe the various phenomena governed by anomalous reaction in dynamical systems with chaotic motion. Many authors have provided solutions for various families of fractional kinetic equations involving special functions. Here, in this paper, we aim at presenting solutions of certain general families of fractional kinetic equations associated with the generalized modified $k$-Bessel function of the first kind. It is also pointed out that the main results presented here are general enough to be able to be specialized to yield many known and (presumably) new solutions for fractional kinetic equations.

Abstract:The influence functional method of Feynman and Vernon is used to obtain a quantum master equation for a Brownian system subjected to a Levy stable random force. The corresponding classical transport equations for the Wigner function are then derived, both in the limit of weak and strong friction. These are fractional extensions of the Klein-Kramers and the Smoluchowski equations. It is shown that the fractional character acquired by the position in the Smoluchowski equation follows from the fractional character of the momentum in the Klein-Kramers equation. Connections among fractional transport equations recently proposed are clarified.

Abstract:The Liouville and first Bogoliubov hierarchy equations with derivatives of noninteger order are derived. The fractional Liouville equation is obtained from the conservation of probability to find a system in a fractional volume element. This equation is used to obtain Bogoliubov hierarchy and fractional kinetic equations with fractional derivatives. Statistical mechanics of fractional generalization of the Hamiltonian systems is discussed. Liouville and Bogoliubov equations with fractional coordinate and momenta derivatives are considered as a basis to derive fractional kinetic equations. The Fokker-Planck-Zaslavsky equation that has fractional phase-space derivatives is obtained from fractional Bogoliubov equation. The linear fractional kinetic equation for distribution of the charged particles is considered.

Quantitative Propagation of Chaos for Singular Interacting Particle Systems Driven by Fractional Brownian Motion

Abstract:We consider interacting systems particle driven by i.i.d. fractional Brownian motions, subject to irregular, possibly distributional, pairwise interactions. We show propagation of chaos and mean field convergence to the law of the associated McKean--Vlasov equation, as the number of particles $N\to\infty$, with quantitative sharp rates of order $N^{-1/2}$. Our results hold for a wide class of possibly time-dependent interactions, which are only assumed to satisfy a Besov-type regularity, related to the Hurst parameter $H\in (0,+\infty)\setminus \mathbb{N}$ of the driving noises. In particular, as $H$ decreases to $0$, interaction kernels of arbitrary singularity can be considered, a phenomenon frequently observed in regularization by noise results. Our proofs rely on a combinations of Sznitman's direct comparison argument with stochastic sewing techniques.

Chaos and hyperchaos in the fractional-order Rössler equations

Abstract:The dynamics of fractional-order systems have attracted increasing attentions in recent years. In this paper, we numerically study the chaotic behaviors in the fractional-order Rössler equations. We found that chaotic behaviors exist in the fractional-order Rössler equation with orders less than 3, and hyperchaos exists in the fractional-order Rössler hyperchaotic equation with order less than 4. The lowest orders we found for chaos and hyperchaos to exist in such systems are 2.4 and 3.8, respectively. Period doubling routes to chaos in the fractional-order Rössler equation are also found.

Abstract:In this article, a new nonlinear four-dimensional hyperchaotic model is presented. The dynamical aspects of the complex system are analyzed covering equilibrium points, linear stability, dissipation, bifurcations, Lyapunov exponent, phase portraits, Poincaré mapping, attractor projection, sensitivity and time series analysis. To analyze hidden attractors, the proposed system is investigated through nonlocal operator in Caputo sense. The existence of solution of the system in fractional sense is studied by fixed point theory. The stability of fractional order system is demonstrated via Matignon stability criteria. The fractional order system is numerically studied via newly developed numerical method which is based on Newton polynomial interpolation. The evolution of the attractors are depicted with different fractional orders. For few fractional orders, some hidden strange chaotic attractors are observed through graphs. Theoretical and numerical studies demonstrate that this model has complex dynamics with some stimulating physical characteristics. To verify and validate the results, we implement Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAA).

We apply the subordination principle to construct kinetic fractional statistical dynamics in the continuum in terms of solutions to Vlasov-type hierarchies. Conditions for the intermittency property of fractional kinetic dynamics are obtained.

Abstract:In this work, we consider an application of fractional derivatives to realistic physical situations, namely the elastic collision of particles and the nonintegrable diamagnetic Kepler problem. The origin of fractional dynamics can be nonlocal interacting dynamics, memory effects, environments with fractal interacting properties, and relaxation processes, among others. In the case of collisions, considering identical and distinguishable particles, additional solutions appear compared to non-fractional dynamics. For specific velocities of one particle before the collision, several velocities of the other particle are allowed after the collision. Consequently, novel velocity distributions emerge. For the diamagnetic Kepler problem, the fractional dynamic strongly affects the regular and quasi-regular regimes of motion, while the completely chaotic motion remains essentially unaltered. Besides, we derive a fractional momentum-like integral of motion for the pure fractional Kepler problem.

Abstract:As a model problem for the study of chaotic Hamiltonian systems, we look for the effects of a long-tail distribution of recurrence times on a fixed Hamiltonian dynamics. We follow Stanislavsky's approach of Hamiltonian formalism for fractional systems. We prove that his formalism can be retrieved from the fractional embedding theory. We deduce that the fractional Hamiltonian systems of Stanislavsky stem from a particular least action principle, said causal. In this case, the fractional embedding becomes coherent.

Energy and system size dependence of charged particle elliptic flow and $v_2/\eps$ scaling

Abstract:We report measurements of charged particle elliptic flow %($v_2$) at mid-rapidity in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=62$ and 200 GeV. Using correlations between main STAR TPC and Forward TPCs ensures minimal bias due to non-flow effects. We further investigate the effect of flow fluctuations on $v_2/\eps$ scaling studying initial geometry eccentricity fluctuations in Monte-Carlo Glauber model, consistent with STAR direct measurements of elliptic flow fluctuations. It is found that accounting for the effect of flow fluctuations improves $v_2/\eps$ scaling.

Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems

Abstract:In this article, we introduce a new fractional laser chaotic system derived from the Lorenz–Haken equations. We investigate the complex dynamics of the proposed system consisting chaos, stability, control and synchronization of chaos. Moreover, we numerically reveal the nonlinear dynamics of the fractional laser chaotic system through the phase portraits, time histories and bifurcation diagrams. Also, we indicate the chaotic behaviors of the system by means of Lyapunov exponents, bifurcation diagrams versus all parameters along the state variables, phase portraits and time histories with different trajectories and initial conditions. The necessary conditions to eliminate the chaotic vibration of the system are obtained via the feedback control procedure. Meanwhile, a synchronization mechanism based on the feedback control technique is achieved for coupled fractional laser chaotic systems. Furthermore, we show that the fractional derivative order is very effective on reducing the irregular and chaotic behaviors of the system.

Abstract:Partial transport barriers in the chaotic sea of Hamiltonian systems influence classical transport, as they allow for a small flux between chaotic phase-space regions only. We find for higher-dimensional systems that quantum transport through such a partial barrier is more restrictive than expected from two-dimensional maps. We establish a universal transition from quantum suppression to mimicking classical transport. The scaling parameter involves the flux, the size of a Planck cell, and the localization length due to dynamical localization along a resonance channel. This is numerically demonstrated for coupled kicked rotors with a partial barrier that generalizes a cantorus to higher dimensions. https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.132.047201 © 2024 American Physical Society

Abstract:A five-dimensional hyperchaotic system is a dynamical system with five state variables that exhibits chaotic behavior in multiple directions. In this work, we incorporated a 5D hyperchaotic system with constant- and variable-order Caputo and the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivatives. These fractional 5D hyperchaotic systems are solved numerically. Through simulations, the chaotic behavior of these fractional-order hyperchaotic systems is analyzed and a comparison between constant- and variable-order fractional hyperchaotic systems is presented.

Abstract:We investigate the quantum kicked rotor in resonance subjected to momentum measurements with a Lévy waiting-time distribution. We find that the system has a sub-ballistic behavior. We obtain an analytical expression for the exponent of the power law of the variance as a function of the characteristic parameter of the Lévy distribution. We also connect the anomalous diffusion found with a fractional dynamics.

Abstract:Random flights (also called run-and-tumble walks or transport processes) represent finite velocity random motions changing direction at any Poissonian time. These models in d -dimension, can be studied giving a general formulation of the problem valid at any spatial dimension. The aim of this paper is to extend this general analysis to time-fractional processes arising from a non-local generalization of the kinetic equations. The probabilistic interpretation of the solution of the time-fractional equations leads to a time-changed version of the original transport processes. The obtained results provide a clear picture of the role played by the time-fractional derivatives in this kind of random motions. They display an anomalous behavior and are useful to describe several complex systems arising in statistical physics and biology. In particular, we focus on the one-dimensional random flight, called telegraph process, studying the time-fractional version of the classical telegraph equation and providing a suitable interpretation of its stochastic solutions.
