Abstract:Background: Mineralocorticoid receptor blockade could be a potential approach for the inhibition of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression. The benefits and harms of different mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) in CKD are inconsistent. Objectives: The aim of the study was to summarize the benefits and harms of MRAs for CKD patients. Methods: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane databases for trials assessing the effects of MRAs on non-dialysis-dependent CKD populations. Treatment and adverse effects were summarized using meta-analysis. Results: Fifty-three trials with 6 different MRAs involving 22,792 participants were included. Compared with the control group, MRAs reduced urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (weighted mean difference [WMD], −90.90 mg/g, 95% CI, −140.17 to −41.64 mg/g), 24-h urinary protein excretion (WMD, −0.20 g, 95% CI, −0.28 to −0.12 g), estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (WMD, −1.99 mL/min/1.73 m2, 95% CI, −3.28 to −0.70 mL/min/1.73 m2), chronic renal failure events (RR, 0.86, 95% CI, 0.79–0.93), and cardiovascular events (RR, 0.84, 95% CI, 0.77–0.92). MRAs increased the incidence of hyperkalemia (RR, 2.04, 95% CI, 1.73–2.40) and hypotension (RR, 1.80, 95% CI, 1.41–2.31). MRAs reduced the incidence of peripheral edema (RR, 0.65, 95% CI, 0.56–0.75) but not the risk of acute kidney injury (RR, 0.94, 95% CI, 0.79–1.13). Nonsteroidal MRAs (RR, 0.66, 95% CI, 0.57–0.75) but not steroidal MRAs (RR, 0.20, 95% CI, 0.02–1.68) significantly reduced the risk of peripheral edema. Steroidal MRAs (RR, 5.68, 95% CI, 1.26–25.67) but not nonsteroidal MRAs (RR, 0.52, 95% CI, 0.22–1.22) increased the risk of breast disorders. Conclusions: In the CKD patients, MRAs, particularly in combination with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin receptor blocker, reduced albuminuria/proteinuria, eGFR, and the incidence of chronic renal failure, cardiovascular and peripheral edema events, whereas increasing the incidence of hyperkalemia and hypotension, without the augment of acute kidney injury events. Nonsteroidal MRAs were superior in the reduction of more albuminuria with fewer peripheral edema events and without the augment of breast disorder events.
Optimization of structures, biochemical properties of ketorolac and its degradation products based on computational studies

Abstract:BackgroundKetorolac (KTR) is used as an analgesic drug with an efficacy close to that of the opioid family. It is mainly used for the short term treatment of post-operative pain. It can inhibit the prostaglandin synthesis by blocking cyclooxygenase (COX).MethodsIn this investigation, the inherent stability and biochemical interaction of Ketorolac (KTR) and its degradation products have been studiedon the basis of quantum mechanical approaches. Density functional theory (DFT) with B3LYP/ 6-31G (d) has been employed to optimize the structures. Thermodynamic properties, frontier molecular orbital features, dipole moment, electrostatic potential, equilibrium geometry, vibrational frequencies and atomic partial charges of these optimized structureswere investigated. Molecular docking has been performed against prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) synthase protein 5F19 to search the binding affinity and mode(s). ADMET prediction has performed to evaluate the absorption, metabolism and carcinogenic properties.ResultsThe equilibrium geometry calculations support the optimized structures. Thermodynamic results disclosed the thermal stability of all structures. From molecular orbital data, all the degradents are chemically more reactive than parent drug (except K3). However, the substitution of carboxymethyl radicalin K4 improved the physicochemical properties and binding affinity. ADMET calculations predict the improved pharmacokinetic and non-carcinogenic properties of all degradents.ConclusionBased on physicochemical, molecular docking, and ADMET calculation, this study can be helpful to understand the biochemical activities of Ketorolac and its degradents and to design a potent analgesic drug.

Abstract:A class of ester-amide oxanorbornadiene (EA-OND) molecules was developed to release alcohol cargos by succinimide formation upon addition of a thiol reagent. The resulting ring-closed adducts undergo further fragmentation by retro-Diels-Alder reaction to release a furan moiety in a manner similar to oxanorbornadiene diesters. The rates of each of these fragmentation pathways in the same medium were found to be sensitive to the steric nature of the amide substituent. Alcohol release was much faster in protic solvents than in aprotic ones, suggesting that this system may be useful for rapid response to thiols in biological environments. Accordingly, the attachment and thiol-dependent release of cholesterol was characterized as an example of the manipulation of a drug-like cargo.
Ketorolac and Predicted Severe Acute Pancreatitis: A Randomized, Controlled Clinical Trial

Abstract:Objective: We evaluated the effect of ketorolac on reducing the severity of acute pancreatitis.Design and Setting: Randomized clinical trial performed in a University hospital.Participants: There were 56 adult patients, with predicted severe acute pancreatitis, randomly divided into two groups.Methods: The patients in the study group received intravenous ketorolac, 10 mg, three times daily from the time of enrollment for a maximum of 5 days, as needed, along with standard medical treatment. Primary outcome measure was the change in the serum level of high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP). Patients were also followed up in terms of hospitalization duration, need for intensive care unit (ICU), organ failure development, persistent organ failure, pancreatic necrosis, nutritional assessment, and mortality. The study continued to gather clinical follow-up information up to 4 months.Results: Serum level of hs-CRP was significantly lower in the ketorolac group compared with the control group on days 3, 4, and 5. There were no significant differences in organ failure, pseudocyst formation, acute necrotic collection, mortality, and ICU transfer between groups. Days of hospitalization were significantly lower in the study group. The feeding start time was significantly shorter in the study group with no need for tube feeding in the ketorolac group. Frequency of NPO (not per oral) was significantly lower in the ketorolac group.Conclusion: The use of ketorolac may improve feeding outcomes and shorten length of hospitalization in predicted severe acute pancreatitis.

Abstract:This meta‐analysis evaluates the impact of topical ketorolac on surgical site wound healing and scar formation after cataract surgery. A thorough literature search, adhering to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐Analyses guidelines, identified eight relevant studies from 2348 articles. The selected studies were analysed for wound healing efficacy, using the redness, edema, ecchymosis, discharge and approximation (REEDA) scale, and scar formation, assessed by the Manchester scar scale (MSS). BackgroundTotal knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a routine orthopedic procedure often associated with significant postoperative pain. Efficient pain management is paramount for patient recovery, with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) being a common choice. Nevertheless, the specific NSAID and its dosing regimen can have varying impacts on outcomes.MethodsIn this retrospective cohort study spanning from January 2016 to December 2020, we analyzed patients who underwent TKA. These patients were divided into two groups: one receiving preemptive low-dose ketorolac (15 mg) followed by 15 mg every 6 h for 48 h, and the other receiving parecoxib (40 mg) every 12 h for the same duration. We assessed pain scores, opioid consumption, and monitored adverse events.ResultsOur findings reveal that ketorolac yielded superior results compared to parecoxib. Specifically, patients receiving ketorolac reported significantly lower Visual Numeric Rating Scale (VNRS) scores at 8- and 20-h post-surgery. This trend was further confirmed by linear mixed models (p = .0084). Additionally, ketorolac was associated with reduced opioid consumption during the initial 24 h. Importantly, the rates of adverse events were comparable between the two groups.ConclusionThe utilization of preemptive low-dose ketorolac demonstrates promising potential in bolstering pain control within the initial 24 h post-TKA, potentially reducing the need for opioids. However, further exploration is required to thoroughly assess its prolonged analgesic effects and safety across various surgical contexts. These investigations could provide invaluable insights for optimizing pain management protocols.

Diffuse exanthema in a patient receiving varenicline.

Abstract:PURPOSE A diffuse exanthema in a patient receiving varenicline is reported. SUMMARY A 71-year-old white woman, who was initially admitted to the hospital for elective vascular bypass surgery, had a three-day history of a diffuse rash, severe itching, and moderate headache. Her symptoms started two days before her admission. She denied having a fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and flulike symptoms. She also denied having had contact with anyone who was ill, tick or insect bites, exposure to cats, or any changes in her diet, habits, or personal hygiene. Her medical problems included peripheral vascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), dyslipidemia, hypertension, and hypothyroidism. In addition to several medications she had been taking for over 2 years, she had been taking varenicline as an aid for smoking cessation for eight days. The patient had been smoking for 40 years. The bright-red rash covered 70% of her torso and four extremities. She had mild swelling in her cheeks, but not on the eyelids or lips. Both of her lungs were clear on auscultation, with distant breath sounds caused by her COPD. Varenicline was discontinued, and her symptoms had completely resolved by the eighth day following discontinuation of the medication. While it is possible that other medications caused her symptoms, she had been taking most of them for over 2 years and all of them for over 1 year. Also, continuation of these drugs did not prevent her symptoms from resolving, nor did it cause a recurrence of the skin reaction. CONCLUSION A patient developed diffuse exanthema after being treated with varenicline.

Abstract:Objectives: Pain management for infants undergoing cardiothoracic surgery primarily utilises opioid analgesics. There is a paucity of data available for the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as ketorolac in this patient population. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study evaluated patients between 30 days and 6 months undergoing cardiothoracic surgery. The primary endpoint evaluates ketorolac on reducing post-operative opioid use. Results: Of 243 evaluated patient, 145 met inclusion. Baseline demographics were similar amongst the cohorts. Patients administered ketorolac used less cumulative opiates, in morphine milligram equivalents, for post-op days (POD) 1–3 after surgery compared to patients not receiving ketorolac (9.47 versus 12.68; p = 0.002). The no-ketorolac group required more opiates on POD 1 (10.9 versus 5; p < 0.001) and POD 2 (4.2 versus 2.5; p = 0.006) with no difference found on POD 3 (2 versus 1.6; p = 0.2). There was a mean increase from baseline to highest serum creatinine level on POD 1–3 in the no-ketorolac group compared to the ketorolac group (0.15 versus 0.09 mg/dL; p < 0.014), with no difference in stage 1 or stage 2 acute kidney injury. There were no differences in average chest tube output in mL/kg/day (0.24 versus 0.32; p = 0.569) or need for transfusion (36% versus 24%; p = 0.125), respectively. Discussion: Scheduled administration of ketorolac after cardiothoracic surgery resulted in a significant reduction in opioid exposure, with no difference in rates of acute kidney injury or bleeding.

Abstract:Ketorolac [(±)-5-Benzoyl-2, 3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolizine-1-carboxylic acid] have been investigated by experimental FTIR, FT-Raman, NMR and UV–Visible spectroscopy. The optimized molecular geometry and vibrational wave numbers were calculated by DFT combined B3LYP/6–311++G (d, p) basis set. The detailed vibrational assignments were carried out using VEDA program. Theoretical UV–Vis absorption spectrum was obtained in water using TD-DFT method. To determine the frontier molecular orbital energy gap and to confirm the electronic transition properties of the title molecule, the donor-acceptor (HOMO-LUMO), and for the intra molecular interactions NBO were studied. In order to get the precise chemical structure (shape and size) and reactivity, topology analyses were carried out. Further, the Non-Linear Optical (NLO) properties such as dipole moment, total linear and first order hyper polarizabilities have been studied to reveal the NLO nature. Also thermodynamic propertiess with respect to temperature were calculated. Considering the biological importance, pharmacological molecular descriptors have been computed. The anti inflammatory activity of the title compound docked into the active sites of the target protein was studied from docking parameters.

Abstract:OBJECTIVES: To determine whether scheduled low-dose, short-term ketorolac modulates cytokine concentrations in orthopaedic polytrauma patients. METHODS: Design: Secondary analysis of a double-blinded, randomized controlled trial. Setting: Single Level I trauma center from August 2018 to October 2022. Patient Selection Criteria: Orthopaedic polytrauma patients between 18-75 years with a New Injury Severity Score greater than 9 were enrolled. Participants were randomized to receive 15 mg of intravenous (IV) ketorolac every 6 hours for up to 5 inpatient days or 2 mL of IV saline similarly. Outcome Measures and Comparisons: Daily concentrations of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), interleukin (IL)-1a, IL-1b, IL-6, and IL-10. Clinical outcomes included hospital and intensive care unit (ICU) length of stay (LOS), pulmonary complications, and acute kidney injury (AKI). RESULTS: Seventy orthopaedic polytrauma patients were enrolled, with 35 participants randomized to the ketorolac group and 35 to the placebo group. The overall IL-10 trend over time was significantly different in the ketorolac group (p = 0.043). IL-6 was 65.8% higher at enrollment compared to Day 3 (p 0.05). There were no significant differences in clinical outcomes between groups (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Scheduled low-dose, short-term, IV ketorolac was associated with significantly different mean trends in IL-10 concentration in orthopaedic polytrauma patients with no significant differences in PGE2, IL-1a, IL-1b, or IL-6 levels between groups. The treatment did not have an impact on clinical outcomes of hospital or ICU LOS, pulmonary complications, or AKI. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: Therapeutic Level I. Intraoperative ketorolac in high-risk breast cancer patients. A prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial

Abstract:Background: Ketorolac has been associated with a lower risk of recurrence in retrospective studies, especially in patients with positive inflammatory markers. It is still unknown whether a single dose of pre-incisional ketorolac can prolong recurrence-free survival. Methods: The KBC trial is a multicenter, placebo-controlled, randomized phase III trial in high-risk breast cancer patients powered for 33% reduction in recurrence rate (from 60 to 40%). Patients received one dose of ketorolac tromethamine or a placebo before surgery. Eligible patients were breast cancer patients, planned for curative surgery, and with a Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio≥4, node-positive disease or a triple-negative phenotype. The primary endpoint was Disease-Free Survival (DFS) at two years. Secondary endpoints included safety, pain assessment and overall survival. Findings: Between February 2013 and July 2015, 203 patients were assigned to ketorolac (n = 96) or placebo (n = 107). Baseline characteristics were similar between arms. Patients had a mean age of 55.7 (SD14) years. At two years, 83.1% of the patients were alive and disease free in the ketorolac vs. 89.7% in the placebo arm (HR: 1.23; 95%CI: 0.65-2.31) and, respectively, 96.8% vs. 98.1% were alive (HR: 1.09; 95%CI: 0.34-3.51). Conclusions: A single administration of 30 mg of ketorolac tromethamine before surgery does not increase disease-free survival in high risk breast cancer patients. Overall survival difference between ketorolac tromethamine group and placebo group was not statistically significant. The study was however underpowered because of lower recurrence rates than initially anticipated. No safety concerns were observed. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov NCT01806259.
Analgesic effect of ketorolac added to lidocaine in surgery of traumatic arm injuries: A double-blind, randomized clinical trial

Abstract:Acute pain after surgery can cause harmful effects. There are many ways to treat pain after surgery. Bier block technique is also a type of intravenous regional anesthesia that is suitable for short and minor surgeries of the arm, wrist, and fingers, so this study aims to compare the analgesic effect of Ketorolac in intravenous injection and when the lidocaine is added to Bier block. In surgery, traumatic injuries to the upper limbs. This study was a clinical trial, randomized and double-blind. The target population was candidates for upper limb orthopedic surgery. The patients selected based on the entry and exit criteria were randomly assigned to one of the 3 study groups. The intensity of pain, the amount of morphine consumed through the intravenous PCA pump, the incidence of side effects of morphine and ketorolac, as well as the overall patient satisfaction regarding the anesthesia method and pain control were compared between the groups. Data analysis, both descriptive and analytical, was done using SPSS statistical software version 21. The three studied groups were identical and had no differences in terms of quantitative and qualitative demographic variables. The median tourniquet closing time is different between the control group and the intravenous ketorolac and topical ketorolac groups with P=0.002 and P=0.001, respectively. There was no significant difference between the three groups in terms of the time of the first request to receive painkillers after deflating the tourniquet, but the amount of morphine received between the groups was significantly different (P=0.02). Comparison of pain intensity based on NRS, considering Taking the measurement repetition times indicated the significance of the effect of pain intensity between the groups (P=0.001). In terms of overall satisfaction with the quality of analgesia and anesthesia method, no significant difference was observed between the three study groups. In terms of the occurrence of complications related to the use of ketorolac, no complications were observed in any of the groups receiving this drug. In general, by conducting this study, it can be said that the administration of Ketorolac reduces the intensity of postoperative pain in the recovery room and transfer to the inpatient ward, and reduces the amount of morphine received by patients, but the time of the first request for pain relief by the patient It does not significantly delay and does not affect the overall satisfaction of patients with the quality of analgesia during and after the operation and their satisfaction with the anesthesia method they received.
Melatonin protects against ketorolac induced gastric mucosal toxic injuries through molecular mechanism associated with the modulation of Arylakylamine N-Acetyltransferase (AANAT) activity

Abstract:Ketorolac tromethamine (KT), is a widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for treating moderate to severe pain. However, the use of KT has been restricted due to its highly toxic attributes that lead to severe gastric ulceration and bleeding. The protective effects of exogenous melatonin (MT) has been reported in conditions associated with gastro-intestinal disorders. This study aims at exploring the role of gastric endogenous MT level and it's metabolizing enzyme AANAT, at the onset of ketorolac mediated toxicities in the gastric mucosa. Gastric mucosal damage was induced in experimental rats by oral administration of graded doses of KT, where 50 mg/kg b.w. of KT was observed to incur maximum gastric lesions. However, gastric damages were found to be protected in rats, pre-treated with 60 mg/kg b.w. of MT. Post-sacrifice, mean ulcer index, oxidative status, total melatonin levels and enzyme activities associated with MT biosynthesis and catabolism were estimated. The results reveal that KT decreases AANAT activity with a concomitant decline in endogenous MT level which cumulatively aggravates gastric toxicity. Moreover, exogenous MT administration has been found to be protective in ameliorating this ulcerogenic process in rats, challenged with KT. Biochemical and histo-pathological observations revealed the reduction in oxidative stress level and replenishment of depleted gastric MT levels in MT pre-treated animals, which might be the causative factors in conferring protection to the gastric tissues and residing mitochondria. The results revealed a correlation between depleted gastric MT level and ulcer formation, which unveiled a novel ulcerogenic mechanism. This may bring forth future therapeutic relevance for treating patients suffering from KT mediated acute gastric toxicities.

It may well be that reinforcement of the message is important in helping maintain cessation We were aware of Kottke's meta-analysis when designing this programme. Our training of the doctors encouraged them to use the programme as often as they felt comfortable with any particular patient. It can be argued that the "Sick of Smoking" programme has little or no additional cost to the health system irrespective of how many times the general practitioner uses it with a patient. The programme was not designed to recruit smokers to specialised stopsmoking sessions which would be an addition to the normal daily activities of a general practitioner and therefore incur an additional cost to the health system. Instead, it was designed as an opportunistic intervention which equipped the general practitioner to intervene with a smoker who would have come for that particular consultation "anyhow". In a sense, the "Sick of Smoking" programme simply equips general practitioners to deal with an issue that they would have to deal with in any case.
The effects of topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on adenoviral replication

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the antiviral activity of topical diclofenac sodium (Voltaren Ophthalmic) and ketorolac tromethamine (Acular) (2 nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [NSAIDs]) on adenoviral replication in vitro and in the adenovirus (Ad) 5 McEwen-New Zealand rabbit ocular model. Methods: The 50% inhibitory concentration of ketorolac and diclofenac and their respective preservative components were determined for common ocular adenoviral serotypes (Ad8, Ad19, Ad1, and Ad5). In a series of experiments, Ad5 McEwen-inoculated New Zealand rabbit eyes were treated topically 4 times daily for 18 days with either ketorolac, diclofenac, prednisolone acetate (Pred Forte), or control vehicle (Comfort Tears). Main outcome measures: Outcome measures included serial ocular tear film titers and the formation of subepithelial immune corneal infiltrates. Results: In vitro, neither ketorolac nor diclofenac demonstrated significant inhibitory activity against Ad1, Ad5, Ad8, or Ad19. In the rabbit model, there were no statistically significant differences among ketorolac, diclofenac, and the control vehicle with respect to viral replication or the formation of subepithelial immune infiltrates. In contrast, 1% prednisolone prolonged viral shedding and inhibited immune infiltrates (P < .001 for both). Conclusions: Our experimental study suggests that treatment of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis with topical NSAIDs may be a safer alternative than topical steroids. Only controlled clinical trials can determine whether topical NSAIDs can provide symptomatic relief and not interfere with normal viral clearance.

Abstract:We have determined the X-ray structures of the NADP(H)-dependent alcohol dehydrogenase of Clostridiim beijerinckii (CBADH) in the apo and holo-enzyme forms at 2.15 A and 2.05 A resolution, respectively, and of the holo-alcohol dehydrogenase of Thermoanaerobacter brockii (TBADH) at 2.5 A. These are the first structures of prokaryotic alcohol dehydrogenase to be determined as well as that of the first NADP(H)-dependent alcohol dehydrogenase. CBADH and TBADH 75% have sequence identity and very similar three-dimensional structures. Both are tetramers of 222 symmetry. The monomers are composed of two domains: a cofactor-binding domain and a catalytic domain. These are separated by a deep cleft at the bottom of which a single zinc atom is bound in the catalytic site. The tetramers are composed of two dimers, each structurally homologous to the dimer of alcohol dehydrogenases of vertebrates. The dimers form tetramers by means of contacts between surfaces opposite the interdomain cleft thus leaving it accessible from the surface of the tetramer. The tetramer encloses a large internal cavity with a positive surface potential. A molecule of NADP(H) binds in the interdomain cleft to the cofactor-binding domain of each monomer. The specificity of the two bacterial alcohol dehydrogenases toward NADP(H) is determined by residues Gly198, Ser199, Arg200 and Tyr218, with the latter three making hydrogen bonds with the 2'-phosphate oxygen atoms of the cofactor. Upon NADP(H) binding to CBADH, Tyr218 undergoes a rotation of approximately 120 degrees about chi1 which facilitates stacking interactions with the adenine moiety and hydrogen bonding with one of the phosphate oxygen atoms. In apo-CBADH the catalytic zinc is tetracoordinated by side-chains of residues Cys37, His59, Asp150 and Glu60; in holo-CBADH, Glu60 is retracted from zinc in three of the four monomers whereas in holo-TBADH, Glu60 does not participate in Zn coordination. In both holo-enzymes, but not in the apo-enzyme, residues Ser39 and Ser113 are in the second coordination sphere of the catalytic zinc. The carboxyl group of Asp150 is oriented with respect to the active carbon of NADP(H) so as to form hydrogen bonds with both pro-S and pro-R hydrogen atoms.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the expression of miRNA-135b in a variety of breast cancer cell lines and its function on the proliferation, invasion and migration in triple-negative breast cancer cell lines by targeting adenomatous polyposis coli (APC). METHODS Quantitative real-time (RT)--PCR was used to detect the expression of miRNA-135b in seven breast cancer cell lines and one normal breast cell line. The three-negative breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-468 with miRNA-135b high-expression were divided into three groups: the normal growth group, the negative control group (transfected with negative counter-part) and the experimental group (transfected with miRNA-135b inhibitors). RT- PCR and Western blot were used to explore the expression of APC. The proliferation was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) method and the invasion and migration were detected by Transwell method. RESULTS The levels of miRNA-135b were higher in triple-negative breast cancer cell lines than other types, especially MDA-MB-231 (P=0.001) and MDA-MB-468 (P=0.036). Compared with normal growth group and negative control group, the mRNA and protein of APC were up-regulated in experimental group MDA-MB-231 (P=0.013, P=0.021), MDA-MB-468 (P=0.017, P=0.014). CCK-8 results showed that the proliferation rate of experimental group was decreased compared with negative control and normal growth group MDA-MB-231 (P=0.00 ), MDA-MB-468 (P=0.01). The invasion and migration ability of MDA-MB-231 (P=0.002, P=0.00) and MDA-MB-468 (P=0.01, P=0.00) were obviously decreased after transfected miRNA-135b inhibitors. CONCLUSION The expressions of miRNA-135b were higher in most triple-negative breast cancer cell lines than others. miRNA-135b could promote the proliferation, invasion and migration in triple-negative breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-468, and APC was one of the target genes of miRNA- 135b by participating in the process of regulation.
