Abstract:In recent years, the emerging technology of cold atmospheric pressure plasma (CAP) has grown rapidly along with the many medical applications of cold plasma (e.g., cancer, skin disease, tissue repair, etc.). Plasma-activated liquids (e.g., culture media, water, or normal saline, previously exposed to plasma) are being studied as cancer treatments, and due to their advantages, many researchers prefer plasma-activated liquids as an alternative to CAP in the treatment of cancer. In this study, we showed that plasma-activated-saline (PAS) treatment significantly inhibited tumor growth, as compared with saline, in melanoma, and a low-pH environment had little effect on tumor growth in vivo. In addition, based on an ultra-high-performance liquid tandem chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS) analysis of tumor cell metabolism, the glycerophospholipid metabolic pathway was the most susceptible metabolic pathway to PAS treatment in melanoma in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, PAS also inhibited cell proliferation in vivo in oral tongue squamous-cell cancer and non-small-cell lung cancer. There were few toxic side effects in the three animal models, and the treatment was deemed safe to use. In the future, plasma-activated liquids may serve as a potential therapeutic approach in the treatment of cancer.

Abstract:PURPOSE:Actin-binding protein capping protein gelsolin-like (CapG) was preferentially expressed in human pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) under hypoxia, and reduced CapG expression was accompanied by impaired migration ability in vitro. We intended to investigate the effects of CapG on rat PASMCs and hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension (HPH) rat model.MATERIALS AND METHODS:We investigated the effect of RNA interference-medicated down-regulation of CapG expression in rat PASMCs as well as in HPH rat model. The proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle of PASMCs were evaluated. The HPH rat model was established by intratracheal instillation of lentiviral vector and subsequent hypoxia exposure for four weeks. Right ventricular systolic pressure, right ventricular hypertrophy and the percentage of medial wall thickness were measured to evaluate the development of HPH.RESULTS:Knock-down CapG in PASMCs resulted in decreased proliferation, increased apoptosis and induced cell cycle inhibition. Down-regulation of CapG expression locally could attenuate pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary vascular remodeling and right ventricular hypertrophy in HPH rat model.CONCLUSIONS:Our study indicated that CapG participated in the pathogenesis of pulmonary vascular remodeling in HPH rats, which was probably mediated by promoting the proliferation and inhibiting the apoptosis of PASMCs. We proposed CapG modulating protective effects of pulmonary hypertension.

Abstract:CAP is an ionized gas generated under atmospheric pressure conditions. Due to its reactive chemical components and near-room temperature nature, CAP has promising applications in diverse branches of medicine, including microorganism sterilization, biofilm inactivation, wound healing, and cancer therapy. Currently, hundreds of in vitro demonstrations of CAP-based cancer treatments have been reported. However, preclinical studies, particularly in vivo studies, are pivotal to achieving a final clinical application. Here, we comprehensively introduced the research status of the preclinical usage of CAP in cancer treatment, by primarily focusing on the in vivo studies over the past decade. We summarized the primary research strategies in preclinical and clinical studies, including transdermal CAP treatment, post-surgical CAP treatment, CAP-activated solutions treatment, and sensitization treatment to drugs. Finally, the underlying mechanism was discussed based on the latest understanding.

Abstract:The role of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) in plasma-activated solution (PAS) for inducing cancer cell apoptosis is well-established, but suboptimal concentrations and rapid degradation often limit their efficacy. This study addresses a significant gap in current research by exploring how the incorporation of exogenous RONS into PAS can enhance apoptosis in cancer cells, potentially overcoming the limitations of traditional PAS treatments. In this study, the effect of treating saline with a plasma jet for different durations was investigated to analyze how its chemical composition triggers apoptosis in cancer cells in vitro. It was observed that longer plasma treatment times resulted in lower cell viability, the reactive species of H2O2, NO2- and ONOO- were found to play a crucial role in inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. Based on these findings, the anticancer efficacy of PAS was further evaluated after the addition of specific exogenous RONS, using measures such as cell viability, intracellular ROS levels, and microscopic imaging. Biological experiments demonstrated that the anticancer efficacy followed the order: addition of RONS to saline before plasma discharge treatment > addition of RONS to saline after plasma discharge treatment > exogenous RONS solution without plasma treatment. This suggests that the external introduction of RONS can modify the chemical composition of PAS to effectively enhance its anticancer properties, with the addition of H2O2 before plasma discharge treatment proving to be the most effective strategy. These results provide a novel perspective on harnessing the anticancer potential of PAS and expanding its potential applications in tumor therapy.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has been reported as a novel potential way to promote skin wound healing. The aim of this study was to explore the effects of an atmospheric‐pressure plasma generated in helium gas through dielectric barrier discharge on skin wound healing in rats and its mechanism. A total of 44 adult male Sprague–Dawley rats were divided into the CAP group and the control group after a full‐thickness skin wound model was established. The animals in the CAP group received CAP treatment (driving frequency 17 kHz, root‐mean‐square [rms] values of the discharge voltage 1.33 kV, rms values of the discharge current 10.7 mA, helium flow rate 11 slpm [standard litres per minute]) for 1 min. After that, the size of the healed area of the wound, morphological changes in the wound, wound neovascularization, collagen deposition, and the level of inflammatory factors were recorded. The results showed that compared to that of the control group, the size of the wound area in the CAP group significantly decreased, the contraction and re‐epithelialization of the wounds were obviously speeded up, and the protein level of smooth muscle actin markedly increased. However, the levels of collagen type I A2, collagen type III, and the deposition of collagen bundles did not change. In addition, it was found that the level of inflammatory factors (such as tumour necrosis factor and interleukin‐1β) significantly increased at 24 hr after the creation of the wound. These results suggest that CAP treatment in this condition could promote skin wound healing by accelerating the contraction, re‐epithelialization, neovascularization, and inflammatory response.

Abstract:Dialyzable transfer factor, obtained from human peripheral blood leukocytes and first described by Lawrence, is being used in attempts to rectify defects in the cellular immune systems of patients with basic immunodeficiencies, chronic infectious diseases, and neoplastic diseases. Current knowledge of the chemical character of, assays for, and functional activities of transfer factor are briefly reviewed. An experimental animal model for dialyzable transfer factor involving the rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) and infection with the trematode Schistosoma mansoni is discussed. The results of this study suggest that in this model transfer factor may act both specifically and nonspecifically.

Abstract:Summary form only given. In recent years, atmospheric pressure nonequilibrium plasmas (APNPs) have been used in many biomedical applications such as bacteria, yeasts, fungi and algae inactivation, surface treatment for cell sheet engineering to controlled cell cultivation, promote blood coagulation and root canal of teeth sterilization. The APNPs can operate at room temperature and APNPs can form numerous short-lived but highly active chemical particles, such as reactive oxygen species, hydroxyl radical (OH), and other excited species. These active chemical particles are essential for various biological processes in cells and human body, reactive oxygen species are involved in initiation, progression and metastasis of cancers and nitric oxide (NO) can induce apoptosis, necrosis or protect cells from death, depending on the cell type and the amount, duration, and site of NO production. Therefore, it is important to study the impact of plasma on cancer cells. In this paper, human hepatocellular carcinoma cell (HepG2) is treated by a single electrode plasma jet device. Further investigation by using the flow cytometric analysis demonstrates that the plasma treatment increases the percentage of apoptotic cells being associated with cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase. Besides, the Reverse Transcriptase PCR assay shows that the Cyclin B1 and Cdc2 are decreased in transcription level after plasma treatment, while the expression of the p21 Cdk inhibitor, as well as tumor suppressor p53, is enhanced. On the other hand, the levels of certain pro-apoptotic or anti-apoptotic genes are checked, the experimental results suggests that the plasma induces apoptosis through shifting the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio to trigger HepG2 cell apoptosis. Results of the present investigation indicate that the plasma jet device may have potential therapeutic activity, such as sterilization of living tissue and tumor therapy of the postoperative treatment process.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a group of various chemical active species, such as ozone and nitric oxide, generated by working gas. CAP was demonstrated to have an effect on tissue regeneration and wound healing. We conducted this study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CAP as a novel therapy for diabetic wounds in vitro and in vivo. The plasma consists of ionised helium gas that is produced by a high-voltage and high-frequency power supply. Eight-week-old male db/db mice and C57BL mice were treated with helium gas (control group), 90s' CAP (low-dose group), and 180s' CAP (high-dose group). Mice were treated and observed for 2 weeks. Skin samples from around the wound and blood samples were collected. Our in vitro analysis included scratch wound-healing assays by using human HaCaT immortalised human epidermal cells. After 14 days of treatment, CAP could obviously promote diabetic wound healing. Wound closure rates were significantly higher in the low-dose group and high-dose groups compared with the control group. Meanwhile, compared with the control group, the protein expression of IL-6, tumour necrosis factor-alpha, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and superoxide dismutase in two CAP groups significantly decreased, while the protein expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and transforming growth factor-beta in two CAP groups significantly increased (all P < .05); these data show good agreement with the change in mRNA level (all P < .05). In vitro, scratch wound-healing assays showed that plasma treatment could effectively ensure healing within 3 minutes of exposure (all P < .05). In addition, no difference was found in histological observations of normal skin and the level of serum alanine transaminase, aspartate aminotransferase, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, and white blood cells among the CAP groups and control group. CAP treatment for 3 minutes every day improves wound healing in diabetic mice by suppressing inflammation, reducing oxidative stress, and enhancing angiogenesis, involving several proteins signalling, and it is safe for the liver and kidney.

Abstract:Currently, there is no effective treatment for chronic skin radiation injury, which burdens patients significantly. Previous studies have shown that cold atmospheric plasma has an apparent therapeutic effect on acute and chronic skin injuries in clinical. However, whether CAP is effective for radiation-induced skin injury has not been reported. We created 35Gy X-ray radiation exposure within 3 * 3 cm2 region of the left leg of rats and applied CAP to the wound bed. Wound healing, cell proliferation and apoptosis were examined in vivo or vitro. CAP alleviated radiation-induced skin injury by enhancing proliferation and migration and cellular antioxidant stress and promoting DNA damage repair through regulated nuclear translocation of NRF2. In addition, CAP inhibited the proinflammatory factors' expression of IL-1β, TNF-α and temporarily increased the pro repair factor's expression of IL-6 in irradiated tissues. At the same time, CAP also changed the polarity of macrophages to a repair-promoting phenotype. Our finding suggested that CAP ameliorated radiation-induced skin injury by activating NRF2 and ameliorating the inflammatory response. Our work provided a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of CAP in high-dose irradiated skin injury.

Principles of using Cold Atmospheric Plasma Stimulated Media for Cancer Treatment

Abstract:To date, the significant anti-cancer capacity of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) on dozens of cancer cell lines has been demonstrated in vitro and in mice models. Conventionally, CAP was directly applied to irradiate cancer cells or tumor tissue. Over past three years, the CAP irradiated media was also found to kill cancer cells as effectively as the direct CAP treatment. As a novel strategy, using the CAP stimulated (CAPs) media has become a promising anti-cancer tool. In this study, we demonstrated several principles to optimize the anti-cancer capacity of the CAPs media on glioblastoma cells and breast cancer cells. Specifically, using larger wells on a multi-well plate, smaller gaps between the plasma source and the media, and smaller media volume enabled us to obtain a stronger anti-cancer CAPs media composition without increasing the treatment time. Furthermore, cysteine was the main target of effective reactive species in the CAPs media. Glioblastoma cells were more resistant to the CAPs media than breast cancer cells. Glioblastoma cells consumed the effective reactive species faster than breast cancer cells did. In contrast to nitric oxide, hydrogen peroxide was more likely to be the effective reactive species.
Dose-Dependent Effects in Plasma Oncotherapy: Critical In Vivo Immune Responses Missed by In Vitro Studies

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) generates abundant reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS and RNS, respectively) which can induce apoptosis, necrosis, and other biological responses in tumor cells. However, the frequently observed different biological responses to in vitro and in vivo CAP treatments remain poorly understood. Here, we reveal and explain plasma-generated ROS/RNS doses and immune system-related responses in a focused case study of the interactions of CAP with colon cancer cells in vitro and with the corresponding tumor in vivo. Plasma controls the biological activities of MC38 murine colon cancer cells and the involved tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs). In vitro CAP treatment causes necrosis and apoptosis in MC38 cells, which is dependent on the generated doses of intracellular and extracellular ROS/RNS. However, in vivo CAP treatment for 14 days decreases the proportion and number of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells while increasing PD-L1 and PD-1 expression in the tumors and the TILs, which promotes tumor growth in the studied C57BL/6 mice. Furthermore, the ROS/RNS levels in the tumor interstitial fluid of the CAP-treated mice are significantly lower than those in the MC38 cell culture supernatant. The results indicate that low doses of ROS/RNS derived from in vivo CAP treatment may activate the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling pathway in the tumor microenvironment and lead to the undesired tumor immune escape. Collectively, these results suggest the crucial role of the effect of doses of plasma-generated ROS and RNS, which are generally different in in vitro and in vivo treatments, and also suggest that appropriate dose adjustments are required upon translation to real-world plasma oncotherapy.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) applications can potentially lead to effective therapy for numerous skin diseases. Our aim is to systematically review the available data and map the use of CAP in dermatology. PubMed, Embase and Web of science were explored before 2020 for studies regarding the use of CAP in dermatology. A total of 166 studies were finally included. 74.1% of these studies used indirect CAP sources. Most studies used plasma jet (67.5%). Argon was the mostly used working gas (48.2%). Plasma application itself could be direct (89.2%) and indirect (16.3%). The proportion of studies with in vivo results remained 57.2%, of which most concerned direct plasma treatment (97.9%). Analyses performed indicate that CAP has been beneficial in many skin disorders. While, most CAP applications were focused on wound healing and melanoma treatment. Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Skin Ulcer Healing

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) on the healing of skin ulcers using Balb/c mice. Methods Wounds with a diameter 6 mm were created on each side of the backs of BalB/c mice ( n = 150) using a punch bioptome. The mice were assigned randomly into a control group ( wounds healed naturally), a laser group (wounds treated with a He-Ne laser for 10 min daily) and a CAP group (wounds treated with CAP for 10 min daily). Wound healing was evaluated on postoperative days (PODs) 4, 7, 10 and 14 in terms of percent wound closure. Ten mice per group were sacrificed on each of the evaluation days. Both wounds were removed and a histological examination was conducted. A scoring system was used to evaluate the wounds. The expression of vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs) in the wounded tissue was detected by using immunohistochemical methods on POD 7. The results were quantified using an HPIAS-1000 system. Results Compared with the control group, the average percentage of wound healing was significantly greater in the CAP group on PODs 7 and 10. The average scores on the histological examination were significantly higher in the CAP group on PODs 7, 10 and 14. Compared with the other two groups, the expression of VEGF was up-regulated significantly in the CAP group.Conclusions CAP can positively affect the wound healing process. This might be related to the up-regulation of VEGF in the wounded tissues.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a near room temperature ionized gas, generated under non-equilibrium discharge conditions. Here we show that a short exposure of rat peritoneal exudate macrophages and T-cells to CAP in vitro, triggered an inflammatory phenotype leading to better antigen-presenting and effector cell function respectively. Different from previous studies mainly using immortalized cell lines, both macrophage and T-cells in this study were primary cells isolated from mice. Furthermore, ex-vivo exposure of T-cells to CAP, followed by their adoptive transfer into tumor-bearing mice resulted in a strong antitumor effect in vivo. Mechanistically, CAP seems to disrupt tolerogenic pathways leading to enhanced production of pro-inflammatory cytokines while limiting the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines and the expression of inhibitory molecules such as programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). CAP represents therefore a novel, non-toxic and easy to deliver technology to augment the function of immune cells and enhance antitumor responses when used as a component of T-cell adoptive immunotherapies strategies or, potentially in combination with other cancer immunotherapeutic approaches.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has been widely used in biomedicine during the last two decades. While direct plasma treatment has been reported to promote wound healing, its application can be uneven and inconvenient. In this study, we first activated water with a portable dielectric barrier discharge plasma device and evaluated the inactivation effect of plasma-activated water (PAW) on several kinds of bacteria that commonly infect wounds. The results show that PAW can effectively inactivate these bacteria. Then, we activated tap water and examined the efficacy of PAW on wound healing in a mouse model of full-thickness skin wounds. We found that wound healing in mice treated with PAW was significantly faster compared with the control group. Histological analysis of the skin tissue of mice wounds showed a significant reduction in the number of inflammatory cells in the PAW treatment group. To identify the possible mechanism by which PAW promotes wound healing, we analyzed changes in the profiles of wound bacteria after PAW treatment. The results show that PAW can significantly reduce the abundance of wound bacteria in the treatment group. The results of biochemical blood tests and histological analysis of major internal organs in the mice show that PAW had no obvious side effects. Taken together, these results indicate that PAW may be a new and effective method for promoting wound healing without side effects.

Abstract:For years, extensive efforts have been made to discover effective, non-invasive anti-cancer therapies. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), is a near room temperature ionized gas composed of reactive species, charged particles, neutral particles, and electrons. CAP also has several physical factors including thermal radiation, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and electromagnetic (EM) waves. Most of the previously reported biological effects of CAP have relied on direct contact between bulk plasma and cells, resulting in the chemical effects generally seen after CAP treatment. In this paper, we demonstrate that the electromagnetic emission produced by CAP can lead to the death of B16F10 melanoma cancer cells via a transbarrier contactless method. When compared with the effect of reactive species, the effect of the physical factors causes much greater growth inhibition. The physical-triggered growth inhibition is due to a new type of cell death, characterized by rapid leakage of bulk water from the cells, resulting in bubbles on the cell membrane, and cytoplasm shrinkage. The results of this study introduce a new possible mechanism of CAP induced cancer cell death and build a foundation for CAP to be used as a non-invasive cancer treatment in the future.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has been reported as a promising technique in dentistry. The biosafety and mechanisms on periodontal tissue are especially important in clinical practice. This study aims to evaluate the cytotoxicity, genotoxicity and mechanisms of human periodontal ligament fibroblasts (hPDLFs) induced by CAP. The antimicrobial effect on Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) was evaluated using the colony-forming unit methods (CFU). Human periodontal ligament fibroblasts were treated with CAP for variable times (1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 min). CCK-8 assays were performed to detect cell viability and flow cytometry was performed to measure the cell cycle and apoptosis. Cell migration ability was determined by scratch assays. The physicochemical properties of plasma activated medium were evaluated, including the pH values, H 2 O 2 and NO levels. DCF-DA staining and analysis were performed to evaluate intracellular ROS levels inside cells using flow cytometry. Immunofluorescence of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) marker, phosphorylated γH2AX was used to establish the genotoxicity of plasma. The results showed that CAP has a significant inhibition effect of P. gingivalis after 6 min treatment. It has significantly dose-dependent effects that ranging from increasing cell proliferation to inducing apoptosis. A low doses (1, 2, 4, and 8 min) could enhance the cell proliferation. A high dose (16 min) resulted in the inhibition of cell proliferation ( p < 0.01). It is also shown that these effects are primarily due to the formation of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS).

Abstract:Progressive incidence and a pessimistic survival rate of breast cancer in women worldwide remains one of the most concerning topics. Progressing research indicates a potentially high effectiveness of use cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) systems. The undoubted advantage seems its simplicity in combination with other anti-cancer modalities. Following observed trend of studies, one inventory CAP system was applied to directly treat human breast cancer cell lines and culturing in two different Plasma Activated Media (PAM) for combined utilization. Proposed CAP treatments on MCF-10 A, MCF-7, and MDA-MB-231 cell lines were studied in terms of impact on cell viability by MTT assay. Disturbances in cell motility following direct and combined CAP application were assessed by scratch test. Finally, the induction of apoptosis and necrosis was verified with annexin V and propidium iodide staining. Reactive species generated during CAP treatment were determined based on optical emission spectrometry analysis along with colorimetric methods to qualitatively assess the NO 2 − , NO 3 − , H 2 O 2 , and total ROS with free radicals concentration. The most effective approach for CAP utilization was combined treatment, leading to significant disruption in cell viability, motility and mostly apoptosis induction in breast cancer cell lines. Determined CAP dose allows for mild outcome, showing insignificant harm for the non-cancerous MCF-10 A cell line, while the highly aggressive MDA-MB-231 cell line shows the highest sensitivity on proposed CAP treatment. Direct CAP treatment seems to drive the cells into the sensitive state in which the effectiveness of PAM is boosted. Observed anti-cancer response of CAP treatment was mostly triggered by RNS (mostly NO 2− ions) and ROS along with free radicals (such as H 2 O 2 , OH • , O 2 -• , 1 O 2 , HO 2 • ). The combined application of one CAP source represent a promising alternative in the development of new and effective modalities for breast cancer treatment.

Abstract:Ulcerative colitis is a chronic recurrent intestinal disease with potential risk of colorectal carcinogenesis and bringing a heavy economic burden to the world. In this study, plasma‐activated solutions is found that is proven useful in various diseases have potential to promote intestinal mucosal repairing through multiple mechanism in colitis mouse model. In the future, this study will continue to conduct this study and attempt to evaluate its safety and effectiveness in human, providing new insights for the treatment and prevention of colitis. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic disease that increases the risk of developing colorectal cancer. Conventional medications are limited by drug delivery and a weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory microenvironment. Further, gut microbiota dysbiosis caused by mucosal damage and dysregulated redox homeostasis leads to frequent recurrence. Therefore, promoting mucosal healing and restoring redox homeostasis is considered the initial step in treating ulcerative colitis. Plasma‐activated solutions (PAS) are liquids rich in various reactive nitrogen species (RNS) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) and are used to treat multiple diseases. However, its effect on ulcerative colitis remains to be examined. Therefore, using a DSS‐induced mice colitis model, it is found that PAS has the potential to treat colitis and prevent its recurrence by promoting intestinal mucosal repair, reducing inflammation, improving redox homeostasis, and reversing gut microbiota dysbiosis. Further, an equipment is designed for preparing PAS without using nitrogen; however, after treatment with the Nitro‐free PAS, the therapeutic effect of PAS is significantly weakened or even lost, indicating that RNS may be the main mediator by which PAS exerts its therapeutic effects. Overall, this study demonstrates the treatment of ulcerative colitis as a novel application of PAS.

Abstract:Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has rapidly advanced as a pivotal area in medical research, notably in wound healing and cancer therapy. This review presents an overview of the mechanisms underlying the action of CAP on wound healing and cancer treatment. CAP plays opposing roles in wound healing and cancer treatment. In wound healing, CAP promotes cell migration and proliferation and eradicates pathogens near the wound site. In cancer therapy, CAP has been recognized for its ability to induce cell death through multiple mechanisms. These include activating the mitochondrial pathway, provoking endoplasmic reticulum stress, generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS), causing DNA damage, arresting the cell cycle, and modulating signaling pathways. Additionally, CAP's oxidative stress can lead to significant changes in DNA and RNA within the nucleus, further contributing to its anti-cancer properties. These diverse effects underscore CAP's therapeutic potential, though outcomes may differ based on the type of cancer and experimental settings. Furthermore, we compared the CAP application conditions for wound healing and cancer cell treatment. The type and concentration of ROS and RNS depend on plasma generation and treatment conditions. Thus, we aimed to identify the correlations between plasma properties and mechanisms of action by comparing CAP generation and treatment conditions in wound healing and cancer cell treatment.
