Abstract:AIM Postsurgical paralytic ileus is by definition an ileal paralysis longer than three days (72 hours) after a surgery on the gastrointestinal tract. At colorectal surgery we have performed on all candidates a visceral echo-color-Doppler to find a potential correlation with cardiovascular risk factors. METHODS We have tested patients undergone to colorectal surgical resection performed by laparoscopic and laparotomic surgery, looking for their atherosclerosis status using ultrasound scan, postsurgical complication, bowel digestive function, anastomotic leak. We have also analyzed for each case the value of glycemia, azotemia, creatinemia, cholesterolemia, triglyceridemia, leukocytemia, mean cell volume, hemoglobinemia, albuminemia and moreover age, disease, pathology localization, kind of surgery, weight and height, body mass index (BMI), ASA status (American Society of Anesthesiologists, electrocardiographic distortions, nicotine dependency, diabetes mellitus type I and II). RESULTS The study enrolled 23 patients, 10 male and 13 female. Middle age was 68.65 ± 11.85 years (range 39-90). In the female subgroup mean age was 69.48 years (range 39-90), while in the male subgroup it was 68 years (range 54-81). In 17 cases out of 23 (73.9%) there was a delay in digestive function, of over 72 hours, with a mean time duration of the paralytic ileus of 4.74 ± 1.60 days (range 3-9). Furthermore a statistically significant correlation between albuminemia and hemoglobinemia presurgery values and lower sierical albuminemia presurgery values in patients who were canalized too late (P=0.03; P=0.041) was found. The non-parametrical values analysis sec. Kruskal-Wallis emphasized a significant correlation between the canalization day, the elettrocardiographic evidence of the pathological situation (P=0.023) and the patient's smoking history (0.023). Another significant value was the creatininemia value: lower values of creatininemia were related to a delayed canalization (P=0.035). CONCLUSION The statistical analysis does not allow to highlight any correlation between the ultrasound diagnosis of atherosclerosis and the delayed canalization.
Gesture recognition by instantaneous surface EMG images

Abstract:Gesture recognition in non-intrusive muscle-computer interfaces is usually based on windowed descriptive and discriminatory surface electromyography (sEMG) features because the recorded amplitude of a myoelectric signal may rapidly fluctuate between voltages above and below zero. Here, we present that the patterns inside the instantaneous values of high-density sEMG enables gesture recognition to be performed merely with sEMG signals at a specific instant. We introduce the concept of an sEMG image spatially composed from high-density sEMG and verify our findings from a computational perspective with experiments on gesture recognition based on sEMG images with a classification scheme of a deep convolutional network. Without any windowed features, the resultant recognition accuracy of an 8-gesture within-subject test reached 89.3% on a single frame of sEMG image and reached 99.0% using simple majority voting over 40 frames with a 1,000 Hz sampling rate. Experiments on the recognition of 52 gestures of NinaPro database and 27 gestures of CSL-HDEMG database also validated that our approach outperforms state-of-the-arts methods. Our findings are a starting point for the development of more fluid and natural muscle-computer interfaces with very little observational latency. For example, active prostheses and exoskeletons based on high-density electrodes could be controlled with instantaneous responses.
Surface EMG-Based Inter-Session Gesture Recognition Enhanced by Deep Domain Adaptation.

Abstract:High-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) is to record muscles' electrical activity from a restricted area of the skin by using two dimensional arrays of closely spaced electrodes. This technique allows the analysis and modelling of sEMG signals in both the temporal and spatial domains, leading to new possibilities for studying next-generation muscle-computer interfaces (MCIs). sEMG-based gesture recognition has usually been investigated in an intra-session scenario, and the absence of a standard benchmark database limits the use of HD-sEMG in real-world MCI. To address these problems, we present a benchmark database of HD-sEMG recordings of hand gestures performed by 23 participants, based on an 8 x 16 electrode array, and propose a deep-learning-based domain adaptation framework to enhance sEMG-based inter-session gesture recognition. Experiments on NinaPro, CSL-HDEMG and our CapgMyo dataset validate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-arts methods on intra-session and effectively improved inter-session gesture recognition.

Abstract:Accurate and real-time gesture recognition is required for the autonomous operation of prosthetic hand devices. This study employs a convolutional neural network-enhanced channel attention (CNN-ECA) model to provide a unique approach for surface electromyography (sEMG) gesture recognition. The introduction of the ECA module improves the model’s capacity to extract features and focus on critical information in the sEMG data, thus simultaneously equipping the sEMG-controlled prosthetic hand systems with the characteristics of accurate gesture detection and real-time control. Furthermore, we suggest a preprocessing strategy for extracting envelope signals that incorporates Butterworth low-pass filtering and the fast Hilbert transform (FHT), which can successfully reduce noise interference and capture essential physiological information. Finally, the majority voting window technique is adopted to enhance the prediction results, further improving the accuracy and stability of the model. Overall, our multi-layered convolutional neural network model, in conjunction with envelope signal extraction and attention mechanisms, offers a promising and innovative approach for real-time control systems in prosthetic hands, allowing for precise fine motor actions.
A Wearable Wireless Armband Sensor for High-Density Surface Electromyography Recording

Abstract:This paper presents a portable and modular wireless multichannel sensor system for high-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) signals acquisition. Featuring low-power and high-quality off-the-shelf components such as the Intan Technologies RHD2132 digital electrophysiology interface chip, the current iteration of the proposed sensor system allows the recording of 32 surface electromyography (sEMG) channels, each at a sampling rate of 1 kHz, and a sample resolution of 16 bits. It features the RHD2132’s typical input-referred noise of 2.4 µVrms, with <15% variation with amplifier bandwidth as specified by the manufacturer, and a total power consumption of 49.5 mW. Data is sent in real-time to a base station using a 2.4-GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) wireless link. Along with the recording platform, the integrated sensor system includes a dry surface electrodes array prototype directly built on a printed circuit board. Intended for complex muscles activity patterns detection on the forearm, the flexible 32 surface electrodes array is designed to be placed flat or to fit a curved area like the forearm in a hand gestures recognition prosthetic system. In such applications, this device will offer improved prosthesis control scheme intuitiveness and ease-of-use. Among other core features of the system are its compact, light-weight and easy to install physical design. The complete system fits on a 2 by 6.5 cm2 printed circuit board mounted on a 7.6 by 11.8 cm2 electrodes array. HD-sEMG user forearm output data collected with the system is presented with a proposed frequency-time-space cross-domain preprocessing method for visualization of HD-EMG data and building training datasets.

User-Tailored Hand Gesture Recognition System for Wearable Prosthesis and Armband Based on Surface Electromyogram

Abstract:Surface electromyogram (sEMG)-based hand gesture recognition for prosthesis or armband is an important application of the human–machine interface (HMI). However, the measurement location of sensors greatly influences the hand gesture performance, especially with the interday or intersubject validation protocols. Therefore, we acquired two-day hand gesture data of 41 subjects with a 256 ( ) channel high-density sEMG electrode array. With the acquired data, we initially compared the support vector machine (SVM) and other four state-of-art classifiers under three validation protocols, i.e., intraday, interday, and intersubject validation protocols. Then, we screened 14 feature optimization techniques, including five feature-projection methods and nine feature-ranking approaches. To present the accuracy tendency with varying measure locations, we systematically explored the ten-hand gesture performance using data of 16 prosthesis measurement locations (PMLs) and 15 armband measurement locations (AMLs). As a result, the SVM classifier was suitable for the intraday and interday validation protocols and the 2-D convolutional neural network was selected for the intersubject validation protocol. The mean accuracies of the hand gesture classification ranged from 95.68% to 99.12% (intraday validation), from 68.41% to 88.02% (interday validation), and from 63.39% to 86.33% (intersubject validation) for the prosthesis application. In addition, for the armband application, the mean accuracies ranged from 96.25% to 97.43% (intraday validation), from 67.44% to 75.83% (interday validation), and from 65.53% to 75.40% (intersubject validation). The accuracy i- greatly correlated with the measurement location, which is highly associated with the neuromuscular structures of human bodies. In summary, our work can serve as a factor-screening tool for users customizing their systems according to their physical conditions and requirements.

Tackling Electrode Shift In Gesture Recognition with HD-EMG Electrode Subsets

Abstract:sEMG pattern recognition algorithms have been explored extensively in decoding movement intent, yet are known to be vulnerable to changing recording conditions, exhibiting significant drops in performance across subjects, and even across sessions. Multi-channel surface EMG, also referred to as high-density sEMG (HD-sEMG) systems, have been used to improve performance with the information collected through the use of additional electrodes. However, a lack of robustness is ever present due to limited datasets and the difficulties in addressing sources of variability, such as electrode placement. In this study, we propose training on a collection of input channel subsets and augmenting our training distribution with data from different electrode locations, simultaneously targeting electrode shift and reducing input dimensionality. Our method increases robustness against electrode shift and results in significantly higher intersession performance across subjects and classification algorithms.

Robust gesture recognition based on attention-deep fast convolutional neural network and surface electromyographic signals

Abstract:The surface electromyographic (sEMG) signals reflect human motor intention and can be utilized for human-machine interfaces (HMI). Comparing to the sparse multi-channel (SMC) electrodes, the high-density (HD) electrodes have a large number of electrodes and compact space between electrodes, which can achieve more sEMG information and have the potential to achieve higher performance in myocontrol. However, when the HD electrodes grid shift or damage, it will affect gesture recognition and reduce recognition accuracy. To minimize the impact resulting from the electrodes shift and damage, we proposed an attention deep fast convolutional neural network (attention-DFCNN) model by utilizing the temporary and spatial characteristics of high-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) signals. Contrary to the previous methods, which are mostly base on sEMG temporal features, the attention-DFCNN model can improve the robustness and stability by combining the spatial and temporary features. The performance of the proposed model was compared with other classical method and deep learning methods. We used the dataset provided by The University Medical Center Göttingen. Seven able-bodied subjects and one amputee involved in this work. Each subject executed nine gestures under the electrodes shift (10 mm) and damage (6 channels). As for the electrodes shift 10 mm in four directions (inwards; onwards; upwards; downwards) on seven able-bodied subjects, without any pre-training, the average accuracy of attention-DFCNN (0.942 ± 0.04) is significantly higher than LSDA (0.910 ± 0.04, p < 0.01), CNN (0.920 ± 0.05, p < 0.01), TCN (0.840 ± 0.07, p < 0.01), LSTM (0.864 ± 0.08, p < 0.01), attention-BiLSTM (0.852 ± 0.07, p < 0.01), Transformer (0.903 ± 0.07, p < 0.01) and Swin-Transformer (0.908 ± 0.09, p < 0.01). The proposed attention-DFCNN algorithm and the way of combining the spatial and temporary features of sEMG signals can significantly improve the recognition rate when the HD electrodes grid shift or damage during wear.
A Wearable Force Myography-Based Armband for Recognition of Upper Limb Gestures

Abstract:Force myography (FMG) represents a promising alternative to surface electromyography (EMG) in the context of controlling bio-robotic hands. In this study, we built upon our prior research by introducing a novel wearable armband based on FMG technology, which integrates force-sensitive resistor (FSR) sensors housed in newly designed casings. We evaluated the sensors’ characteristics, including their load–voltage relationship and signal stability during the execution of gestures over time. Two sensor arrangements were evaluated: arrangement A, featuring sensors spaced at 4.5 cm intervals, and arrangement B, with sensors distributed evenly along the forearm. The data collection involved six participants, including three individuals with trans-radial amputations, who performed nine upper limb gestures. The prediction performance was assessed using support vector machines (SVMs) and k-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithms for both sensor arrangments. The results revealed that the developed sensor exhibited non-linear behavior, and its sensitivity varied with the applied force. Notably, arrangement B outperformed arrangement A in classifying the nine gestures, with an average accuracy of 95.4 ± 2.1% compared to arrangement A’s 91.3 ± 2.3%. The utilization of the arrangement B armband led to a substantial increase in the average prediction accuracy, demonstrating an improvement of up to 4.5%.

Abstract:Surface electromyogram (sEMG) armband with electrodes mounted around the user's forearm is one of the most ergonomic wearable EMG devices. Definitely, the signal distribution varies greatly across different wearing positions of the armband based on physiological characters of the sEMG, which may compromise the performance and even make it inapplicable to use a recognition model built in one position. Thus, the electrode shift problem hinders wide applications of the sEMG armband, especially during its long-term and repetitive usage. High-density surface electromyogram signals recorded from a 2-dimensional electrode array carry rich spatial information and can be viewed as a muscular activation image. In the proposed method, a self-designed convolutional neural network (CNN) combined with data augmentation operation is used to learn muscular activity patterns at an original/baseline position of the electrode array. The method cropped the sEMG feature images for data augmentation. The CNN could learn the invariance of electrode shift from the cropped images. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated with data recorded by an armband-like sensor apparatus with five electrode arrays embedded in its inner side, which was placed over forearm of 1 subject performing 8 gestural tasks. The proposed method was able to maintain high task classification accuracies around 95% and outperformed two traditional methods (accuracies ranging from 50% to 75%) under conditions with 4 designated shifts.
A Circular, Wireless Surface-Electromyography Array

Abstract:Commercial, high-tech upper limb prostheses offer a lot of functionality and are equipped with high-grade control mechanisms. However, they are relatively expensive and are not accessible to the majority of amputees. Therefore, more affordable, accessible, open-source, and 3D-printable alternatives are being developed. A commonly proposed approach to control these prostheses is to use bio-potentials generated by skeletal muscles, which can be measured using surface electromyography (sEMG). However, this control mechanism either lacks accuracy when a single sEMG sensor is used or involves the use of wires to connect to an array of multiple nodes, which hinders patients' movements. In order to mitigate these issues, we have developed a circular, wireless s-EMG array that is able to collect sEMG potentials on an array of electrodes that can be spread (not) uniformly around the circumference of a patient's arm. The modular sEMG system is combined with a Bluetooth Low Energy System on Chip, motion sensors, and a battery. We have benchmarked this system with a commercial, wired, state-of-the-art alternative and found an r = 0.98 (p < 0.01) Spearman correlation between the root-mean-squared (RMS) amplitude of sEMG measurements measured by both devices for the same set of 20 reference gestures, demonstrating that the system is accurate in measuring sEMG. Additionally, we have demonstrated that the RMS amplitudes of sEMG measurements between the different nodes within the array are uncorrelated, indicating that they contain independent information that can be used for higher accuracy in gesture recognition. We show this by training a random forest classifier that can distinguish between 6 gestures with an accuracy of 97%. This work is important for a large and growing group of amputees whose quality of life could be improved using this technology.

Adaptive Electrode Calibration Method Based on Muscle Core Activation Regions and Its Application in Myoelectric Pattern Recognition

Abstract:To reduce the bad effect of electrode shifts on myoelectric pattern recognition, this paper presents an adaptive electrode calibration method based on core activation regions of muscles. In the proposed method, the high-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) matrix collected during hand gesture execution is decomposed into source signal matrix and mixed coefficient matrix by fast independent component analysis algorithm firstly. The mixed coefficient vector whose source signal has the largest two-norm energy is selected as the major pattern, and core activation region of muscles is extracted by traversing the major pattern periodically using a sliding window. The electrode calibration is realized by aligning the core activation regions in unsupervised way. Gestural HD-sEMG data collection experiments with known and unknown electrode shifts are carried out on 9 gestures and 11 participants. A CNN+LSTM-based network is constructed and two network training strategies are adopted for the recognition task. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in mitigating the bad effect of electrode shifts on gesture recognition accuracy and the potentials in reducing user training burden of myoelectric control systems. With the proposed electrode calibration method, the overall gesture recognition accuracies increase about (5.72~7.69)%. In specific, the average recognition accuracy increases (13.32~17.30)% when using only one batch of data in data diversity strategy, and increases (12.01~13.75)% when using only one repetition of each gesture in model update strategy. The proposed electrode calibration algorithm can be extended and applied to improve the robustness of myoelectric control system.

Abstract:Human hands are the most dexterous parts of the human body where the finger movements are mainly controlled by several specific forearm muscles. The accurate acquisition of surface electromyography (sEMG) signals from these target muscles is essential for hand gesture recognition widely applied in human–machine interface (HMI) systems. However, most of the existing sEMG sensors are designed as single bipolar electrode pairs or orthogonal electrode arrays, ignoring the irregular spatial distribution of slender forearm muscles, which limits their performances in signal acquisition. Herein, we propose customized four-channel electrode arrays where the electrode pairs are placed in accordance with the position and orientation of target muscles. By selecting materials with excellent properties for on-skin devices, the fabricated electrodes achieve low skin–electrode impedance and record sEMG signals with a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Owing to the customized design, our electrode arrays can cover more muscles and record higher-quality multichannel sEMG signals than orthogonal arrays under the same condition, enhancing the accuracy of hand gesture classification. Generalizable gesture recognition using magnetomyography

Abstract:The progression of human-computer interfaces into immersive and touchless realities requires new ways of interacting with machines that are correspondingly intuitive and seamless. Among these are gesture-based systems that use natural hand movements to interact with and control digital devices. Today, these systems are most commonly implemented through the use of cameras or inertial sensors, which have drawbacks in environments that are poorly lit, in conditions where the hands are obscured, or for applications that require fine motor control. More recent studies have advocated for the use of surface electromyography (sEMG) to capture gesture information by sensing electrical activity generated by muscle contraction. While promising demonstrations have been shown, studies have also outlined limitations in sEMG when it comes to generalization across a population, largely due to physiological differences between individuals. Magnetomyography (MMG) is an alternative modality for measuring the same motor signals at the muscle, but is impervious to distortions caused by tissue, hair, and moisture; this indicates potential for lower variability caused by physiological differences and changes in skin conductivity, making MMG a promising generalizable solution for gesture control. To test this theory, we developed wristbands with magnetic sensors and implemented a signal processing pipeline for gesture classification. Using this system, we measured MMG across 30 participants performing a gesture task consisting of nine discrete gestures. We demonstrate average single-participant classification accuracy of 95.4%, rivaling state-of-the-art accuracy with sEMG. In addition, we achieved higher cross-session and cross-participant accuracy compared to sEMG studies. Given that these results were obtained with a non-ideal recording system, we anticipate significantly better results with better sensors. Together, these findings suggest that MMG can provide higher performance for control systems based on gesture recognition by overcoming limitations of existing techniques.

Data Augmentation of Surface Electromyography for Hand Gesture Recognition

Abstract:The range of applications of electromyography-based gesture recognition has increased over the last years. A common problem regularly encountered in literature is the inadequate data availability. Data augmentation, which aims at generating new synthetic data from the existing ones, is the most common approach to deal with this data shortage in other research domains. In the case of surface electromyography (sEMG) signals, there is limited research in augmentation methods and quite regularly the results differ between available studies. In this work, we provide a detailed evaluation of existing (i.e., additive noise, overlapping windows) and novel (i.e., magnitude warping, wavelet decomposition, synthetic sEMG models) strategies of data augmentation for electromyography signals. A set of metrics (i.e., classification accuracy, silhouette score, and Davies–Bouldin index) and visualizations help with the assessment and provides insights about their performance. Methods like signal magnitude warping and wavelet decomposition yield considerable increase (up to 16%) in classification accuracy across two benchmark datasets. Particularly, a significant improvement of 1% in the classification accuracy of the state-of-the-art model in hand gesture recognition is achieved.

Abstract:Researchers have attempted to control robotic hands and prostheses through biosignals but could not match the human hand. Surface electromyography records electrical muscle activity using non-invasive electrodes and has been the primary method in most studies. While surface electromyography-based hand motion decoding shows promise, it has not yet met the requirements for reliable use. Combining different sensing modalities has been shown to improve hand gesture classification accuracy. This work introduces a multimodal bracelet that integrates a 24-channel force myography system with six commercial surface electromyography sensors, each containing a six-axis inertial measurement unit. The device's functionality was tested by acquiring muscular activity with the proposed device from five participants performing five different gestures in a random order. A random forest model was then used to classify the performed gestures from the acquired signal. The results confirmed the device's functionality, making it suitable to study sensor fusion for intent detection in future studies. The results showed that combining all modalities yielded the highest classification accuracies across all participants, reaching 92.3±2.6% on average, effectively reducing misclassifications by 37% and 22% compared to using surface electromyography and force myography individually as input signals, respectively. This demonstrates the potential benefits of sensor fusion for more robust and accurate hand gesture classification and paves the way for advanced control of robotic and prosthetic hands.

Abstract:Surface electromyography (sEMG), a human-machine interface for gesture recognition, has shown promising potential for decoding motor intentions, but a variety of nonideal factors restrict its practical application in assistive robots. In this paper, we summarized the current mainstream gesture recognition strategies and proposed a gesture recognition method based on multimodal canonical correlation analysis feature fusion classification (MCAFC) for a nonideal condition that occurs in daily life, i.e., posture variations. The deep features of the sEMG and acceleration signals were first extracted via convolutional neural networks. A canonical correlation analysis was subsequently performed to associate the deep features of the two modalities. The transformed features were utilized as inputs to a linear discriminant analysis classifier to recognize the corresponding gestures. Both offline and real-time experiments were conducted on eight non-disabled subjects. The experimental results indicated that MCAFC achieved an average classification accuracy, average motion completion rate, and average motion completion time of 93.44%, 94.05%, and 1.38 s, respectively, with multiple dynamic postures, indicating significantly better performance than that of comparable methods. The results demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed multimodal signal feature fusion method for gesture recognition with posture variations, providing a new scheme for myoelectric control.

Abstract:Prosthetic hands are of paramount importance in the rehabilitation of upper limbs amputees. Gesture recognition using surface electromyography (sEMG) data has emerged as a great option for controlling prosthetic devices, since these data are acquired by non-intrusive sensors. This work presents a real-time classification system based on artificial neural networks with individualized muscle activity segmentation and using dynamic time warping (DTW) based features. For real-time classification, we modify the size of the sliding windows so that their length is sufficient to fully capture the muscle activity signal. For data segmentation, we propose an enhanced muscle activity detection in which validation is used to fine-tune the thresholds needed to determine the beginning and end of muscle contraction. We used two validation methods: cross-validation and multi-holdout. Moreover, we propose a post-processing technique to choose the most representative class when there are multiple classifications for a given data. By combining all the proposed techniques, the accuracy of the resulting system was (97.2 ± 0.3)% in the classification of 6 hand gestures from 10 healthy people, representing an increase of 7.1% in the mean accuracy compared with the baseline model.

Abstract:ABSTRACT The Drosophila sex-peptide (SP) has been identified as a seminal fluid component that induces post-mating responses (PMRs) in the inseminated females, such as inhibition of remating and stimulation of egg-laying. SP has been thought to play a central role in sexual conflict and sexually antagonistic co-evolution. Most of the sequenced Drosophila genomes contain SP orthologs, but their functions have been poorly characterized. Recently, we have investigated cross-species activity of D. melanogaster SP by means of injection into virgin females of other species. Among 11 species examined, SP response was observed in 6 species belonging to the D. melanogaster species group only. These species females express SP receptor (SPR) in their oviducts at relatively high levels, which was visualized by using a GFP-tagged SP. Furthermore, females of this species group responded to their own SP orthologs. However, females of the species outside the group did not respond to their own SP orthologs, even though all of them were potent inducers of SP-response in D. melanogaster. Our results suggested that the SP/SPR-mediated PMR was established in the lineage of the D. melanogaster species group.

Abstract:Hand gesture recognition based on sparse multichannel surface electromyography (sEMG) still poses a significant challenge to deployment as a muscle–computer interface. Many researchers have been working to develop an sEMG-based hand gesture recognition system. However, the existing system still faces challenges in achieving satisfactory performance due to ineffective feature enhancement, so the prediction is erratic and unstable. To comprehensively tackle these challenges, we introduce a novel approach: a lightweight sEMG-based hand gesture recognition system using a 4-stream deep learning architecture. Each stream strategically combines Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN)-based time-varying features with Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based frame-wise features. In the first stream, we harness the power of the TCN module to extract nuanced time-varying temporal features. The second stream integrates a hybrid Long short-term memory (LSTM)-TCN module. This stream extracts temporal features using LSTM and seamlessly enhances them with TCN to effectively capture intricate long-range temporal relations. The third stream adopts a spatio-temporal strategy, merging the CNN and TCN modules. This integration facilitates concurrent comprehension of both spatial and temporal features, enriching the model's understanding of the underlying dynamics of the data. The fourth stream uses a skip connection mechanism to alleviate potential problems of data loss, ensuring a robust information flow throughout the network and concatenating the 4 stream features, yielding a comprehensive and effective final feature representation. We employ a channel attention-based feature selection module to select the most effective features, aiming to reduce the computational complexity and feed them into the classification module. The proposed model achieves an average accuracy of 94.31% and 98.96% on the Ninapro DB1 and DB9 datasets, respectively. This high-performance accuracy proves the superiority of the proposed model, and its implications extend to enhancing the quality of life for individuals using prosthetic limbs and advancing control systems in the field of robotic human–machine interfaces.
