Abstract:It is well known to historians of science that, early in the nineteenth century, terrestrial magnetism became both a popular science and a significant research enterprise in Europe. For Britain, as a maritime power, it offered benefits for navigation. Theoretical physicists claimed that, with enough observations of magnetic variation, intensity, and dip taken throughout the world over time, they could deduce regular mathematical laws to explain the phenomena. Because of the lack of data from the region, particular attention focused on field research in deep southern latitudes. Finding the precise location of the South Magnetic Pole became a prime goal for some enthusiasts. With burgeoning colonies in Africa and the Antipodes, Britain assumed a leading role in this effort. British scientists looked to their government for funding and called on the Admiralty to dispatch expeditions. It is less well known that both popular and scientific interest in terrestrial magnetism continued throughout the nineteenth century and into the early twentieth century. The H.M.S. Erebus and H.M.S. Terror (1839–1843), H.M.S. Challenger (1872–1876), and R.Y. Discovery (1901–1904) sailed to the Antarctic as part of Britain's extended “Magnetic Crusade,” which culminated with Royal Society geologist T. W. Edgeworth David of the Nimrod expedition reaching the South Magnetic Pole in 1909.

Abstract:Background: Cervical carcinoma is a type of malignant tumor that primarily develops in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus. In recent years, Despite the considerable progress made in immunotherapy research for cervical carcinoma, an important aspect has been largely overlooked - the absence of a comprehensive bibliometric analysis in this field. By employing bibliometric techniques, this study aims to fill this gap and provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots within the realm of immunotherapy in cervical carcinoma. Method: A comprehensive search was conducted on the web of science core collection(WoSCC) database to identify publications related to immunotherapy specifically for the treatment of cervical carcinoma. The search spanned the period from the year 2000 to 2023. Several analytical tools were employed. These included VOSviewers, CiteSpace, and the R package "bibliometrix". Results: A total of 654 research articles from 66 different countries have been included in the analysis. The United States and China have emerged as the leading countries in publishing research on immunotherapy in cervical carcinoma. Leiden University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from the Netherlands and the United States respectively have a close cooperation. Fudan University from China and the German Cancer Research Center are also among the key institutions leading research in this area. Frontiers in Oncology has emerged as the most popular and widely recognized publication in the field of immunotherapy in cervical carcinoma. Journal of Clinical Oncology is frequently cited by researchers in this area. Van Der Burg, Sjoerd H has published the highest number of papers. Tewari, Krishnansu S has been the most co-cited author. Keywords such as PD-L1, chemotherapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors have gained significant attention in recent years. Conclusion: This is the first bibliometric study that comprehensively summarizes the research trends and developments of immunotherapy in cervical carcinoma. This groundbreaking study not only summarizes the current research trends and developments in immunotherapy for cervical carcinoma but also provides a reference for scholars studying the treatment of cervical cancer.

Abstract:Various immunotherapy has been greatly applied to comprehensive treatment of malignant cancer under different degrees of tumor burden. Scientific researches have gained considerable progress in the relationship between immunotherapy and tumor burden in recent years. This review aimed to explore the prospect and developing trends in the field of tumor burden and immunotherapy from a bibliometric perspective. Articles about tumor burden and immunotherapy were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) (retrieved on January 3, 2023). The R package “Bibliometrix” analyzed the primary bibliometric features and created a three-filed plot to display the relationship between institutions, countries and keywords. VOSviewer was used for co-authorship analysis, co-occurrence analysis and their visualization. And CiteSpace calculated the citation burst references and keywords. A total of 1030 publications were retrieved from 35 years of scientific researches. The United States (US) and China published the most articles. The most productive journals were Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy and Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer . The top one institution of the highest output was University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The hot keywords of strong citation burst strength in recent years were “nivolumab”, “tumor microenvironment” and “immune checkpoint inhibitor”. The most popular tumor type is melanoma. This bibliometric analysis mapped a basic knowledge structure. The field of tumor burden and immunotherapy is entering a rapid growing stage and keeping it value for future research.

Abstract:Background: Despite extensive literature on therapeutic strategies for cervical cancer, a bibliometric analysis specifically focused on immunotherapy for advanced, recurrent, or metastatic (A/R/M) cervical malignancies remains unexplored. This study aims to address this gap by presenting a comprehensive overview that includes general characteristics, research focal points, the trajectory of evolution, and current emerging trends in this under-researched area. Methods: A systematic search was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) to identify articles related to A/R/M cervical cancer published between 2000 and 2022. Citespace and VOS viewer were the primary tools used to identify research focal points, intriguing future patterns, and to evaluate contributions and co-occurrences among authors, institutions, countries, and journals. Results: A total of 1,001 original articles were identified, involving 6,387 authors from 66 countries and 1,474 institutions, and published across 366 academic journals. The United States contributed most significantly. The most productive researcher was Van der Burg SH from Leiden University Medical Center. The International Journal of Cancer and Cancer Research were identified as the most productive and influential journals, respectively. Analysis of co-citation clusters highlighted 25 clusters, primarily focusing on potential predictive biomarkers, dendritic cell-based tumor vaccines, therapeutic HPV vaccinations, peptide-based cancer vaccines, tumor immune microenvironments, and adoptive cell transfer (ACT). The latest significant trends in A/R/M cervical cancer immunotherapy research included ACT, CAR-T, and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), as revealed by keyword and reference burst detection. Conclusion: This pioneering study provides a detailed landscape of immunotherapy research in A/R/M cervical cancer. It underscores the importance of global collaboration, enriches our understanding of the immunology of A/R/M cervical cancer, expands on potential beneficiaries of immunotherapy, and explores clinical applications of various therapies, including therapeutic vaccines, adoptive cell transfer, and ICIs, particularly in combination with established treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted therapy.

Research hotspots and trends of epigenetic therapy in oncology: a bibliometric analysis from 2004 to 2023

Abstract:Background: Epigenetics denotes heritable alterations in gene expression patterns independent of changes in DNA sequence. Epigenetic therapy seeks to reprogram malignant cells to a normal phenotype and has been extensively investigated in oncology. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of epigenetic therapy in cancer, providing a comprehensive overview of current research, identifying trends, and highlighting key areas of investigation. Methods: Publications concerning epigenetic inhibitors in cancer spanning 2004 to 2023 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Co-occurrence analysis using VOSviewer assessed current status and focal points. Evolutionary trends and bursts in the knowledge domain were analyzed using CiteSpace. Bibliometrix facilitated topic evolution and revealed trends in keywords. National, institutional, and author affiliations and collaborations were also examined. Results: A total of 2,153 articles and reviews on epigenetic therapy in oncology were identified, demonstrating a consistent upward trend over time. The United States (745 papers), University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (57 papers), and Stephen B. Baylin (27 papers) emerged as the most productive country, institution, and author, respectively. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified five primary clusters: tumor, DNA methylation, epigenetic therapy, expression, and immunotherapy. In the past 5 years, newly emerging themes with increased centrality and density include "drug resistance," "immunotherapy," and "combination therapy." The most cited publication reviewed current understanding of potential causes of epigenetic diseases and proposed future therapeutic strategies. Conclusion: In the past two decades, the importance of epigenetic therapy in cancer research has become increasingly prominent. The United States occupies a key position in this field, while China, despite having published a large number of related papers, still has relatively limited influence. Current research focuses on the "combination therapy" of epigenetic drugs. Future studies should further explore the sequencing and scheduling of combination therapies, optimize trial designs and dosing regimens to improve clinical efficacy.

Abstract:Background: Immunotherapy is changing the way we treat cancer. Immunogenic cell death (ICD) has received considerable attention in the treatments of various cancer types, due to the long-lasting antitumor responses elicited in human body. However, to date, no relevant bibliometric research has been reported. Methods: Publications related to ICD in cancer research were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection. Using CiteSpace, VOSviewer and an online platform, the analyses of co-author, co-citation, and co-occurrence of terms retrieved from literatures were carried out. Results: A total of 1,577 publications were included in this study. The global research literatures on ICD in cancer research have been increasing from 2005 to 2021. China, the United States and France dominated in this area and had close collaborations with many countries. Six of the top 10 most contributive institutions were from France. When it comes to author analysis, Kroemer G, Zitvogel L, Kepp O, Garg AD and Galluzzi L were in both the top 10 most productive authors and top 10 most co-cited authors lists. The co-occurring author keywords could be grouped into three clusters: “biomarkers of ICD”, “nanoparticles” and “combination therapy”. In terms of promising hotspots, keywords (author keywords and KeyWords Plus) with recent citation bursts could be summarized into two aspects: “tumor microenvironment” and “nanoparticles”. Conclusion: Increased attention has been paid to ICD in cancer treatment. However, there are still many unresolved domains in the field of ICD, such as clinical application and molecular mechanisms of this cell death process. ICD-inducing modalities combined with nanotechnology could potentiate the current immunotherapies, and will be hotspots for future research.

We report anesthesia management of a 96-year and a 90-year old patients with FloTrac sensor which is an arterial pressure-based cardiac output monitoring device and is able to manage critical patients effectively and safely during anesthesia.

Abstract:Immunotherapy, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICIs) therapy, stands as an innovative therapeutic approach currently garnering substantial attention in cancer treatment. It has become a focal point of numerous studies, showcasing significant potential in treating malignancies, including lung cancer and melanoma. The objective of this research is to analyze publications regarding immunotherapy for colorectal cancer (CRC), investigating their attributes and identifying the current areas of interest and cutting-edge advancements. We took into account the publications from 2002 to 2022 included in the Web of Science Core Collection. Bibliometric analysis and visualization were conducted using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, R-bibliometrix, and Microsoft Excel. The quantity of publications associated with this domain has been steadily rising over the years, encompassing 3753 articles and 1498 reviews originating from 573 countries and regions, involving 19,166 institutions, 1011 journals, and 32,301 authors. In this field, China, the United States, and Italy are the main countries that come forward for publishing. The journal with the greatest impact factor is CA-A Cancer Journal for Clinicians . Romain Cohen leads in the number of publications, while Le Dt stands out as the most influential author. The immune microenvironment and immune infiltration are emerging as key hotspots and future research directions in this domain. This research carries out an extensive bibliometric examination of immunotherapy for colorectal cancer, aiding researchers in understanding current focal points, investigating possible avenues for research, and recognizing forthcoming development trends.

Abstract:Background: Regulatory T (Treg) cells play a strategic role in maintaining immune homeostasis and their functions are closely linked to the development of different diseases, including cancer. This study aims to investigate the evolution patterns and popular research topics of Treg cells through bibliometric analysis. Method: The Web of Science Core Collection database was used to extract publications related to Treg cells, which were then subjected to bibliometric analysis and visualization through VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and R software. Results: Between 2003 and 2023, a total of 666 articles were published. China and the United States had the highest citation counts, with Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Tarbiat Modares University being the leading research institutions. Beckhove Philipp from the German Cancer Research Center and the National Center for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg, and Christophe from the Cancer Research Center of Lyon, were the most prolific authors. Sakaguchi Shimon from the Immunology Frontier Research Center at Osaka University was the most cited author. "Frontiers in Immunology" published the most articles, while "Journal of Immunology" received the highest co-citations. Key terms in Treg research include immunotherapy, tumor microenvironment, prognosis, immunosuppression, and PD-L1. Among these, immunotherapy, prognosis, PD-L1, and immunosuppression have emerged as focal points of research in recent years. Conclusion: With active collaboration worldwide, research on Treg cells is rapidly advancing. Focusing on Treg cells as a potential target for cancer treatment shows great promise for future research, especially in terms of practical applications. This could offer valuable direction and fresh perspectives for further exploration of Treg cells in the medical field.

Abstract:Background: Pathomics has emerged as a promising biomarker that could facilitate personalized immunotherapy in lung cancer. It is essential to elucidate the global research trends and emerging prospects in this domain. Methods: The annual distribution, journals, authors, countries, institutions, and keywords of articles published between 2018 and 2023 were visualized and analyzed using CiteSpace and other bibliometric tools. Results: A total of 109 relevant articles or reviews were included, demonstrating an overall upward trend; The terms "deep learning", "tumor microenvironment", "biomarkers", "image analysis", "immunotherapy", and "survival prediction", etc. are hot keywords in this field. Conclusion: In future research endeavors, advanced methodologies involving artificial intelligence and pathomics will be deployed for the digital analysis of tumor tissues and the tumor microenvironment in lung cancer patients, leveraging histopathological tissue sections. Through the integration of comprehensive multi-omics data, this strategy aims to enhance the depth of assessment, characterization, and understanding of the tumor microenvironment, thereby elucidating a broader spectrum of tumor features. Consequently, the development of a multimodal fusion model will ensue, enabling precise evaluation of personalized immunotherapy efficacy and prognosis for lung cancer patients, potentially establishing a pivotal frontier in this domain of investigation.

Abstract:Background/purposeHead and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a serious disease endangering the health of patients, and the application of immunotherapy in HNSCC is gradually emerging. However, there is no bibliometric analysis in this research field. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots of immunotherapy for HNSCC.Materials and methodsPublications related to immunotherapy for HNSCC from 2002 to 2021 were searched in the Web of Science Core Collection database. The software VOSviewers, CiteSpace, and the R package ‘bibliometrix’ were used to perform this bibliometric analysis.ResultsA total of 1297 publications were from 63 countries, led by the USA and China. The number of publications related to immunotherapy for HNSCC has increased rapidly from 2015. University of Pittsburgh and The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center are the main research institutions. Oral Oncology is the most popular journal in this field, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology is the most highly co-cited journal. These publications were from 7569 authors, with Robert L. Ferris publishing the most papers and being the most frequently co-cited. Clinical trials related to nivolumab and pembrolizumab have attracted wide attention. ‘Immune checkpoint inhibitors’, ‘human papillomavirus’, ‘programmed cell death-ligand 1’, and ‘programmed cell death protein 1’ are the main keywords of emerging research hotspots.ConclusionThis study presents a comprehensive summary of the trends and development of immunotherapy for HNSCC, identifies the research frontier and hotspot direction, and could provide a valuable reference for researchers in this field.

Abstract:Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a common malignant tumor with a significant mortality rate, especially in patients at locally advanced stage, or with recurrence and metastasis. Immunotherapy has shown remarkable breakthrough in the treatment of locally advanced cancer, recurrence and metastasis in recent years. During this time, a large number of HNSCC immunotherapy studies have been published. However, few studies employed bibliometric analysis. This work analyzes HNSCC immunotherapy trends and hotspots using bibliometric analysis to get better understanding of the current state and future direction of HNSCC immunotherapy. Methods: Relevant articles and publications about immunotherapy of HNSCC were extracted from Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Bibliometrics was used to study these publications in terms of countries/regions, institutions, authors (cited authors), journals (cited journals), references, and keywords, so as to identify research hotspots and to predict future research trends in this field. Results: A total of 1377 English articles published between 2000 and 2022 were collected. It is found that the number of articles increases rapidly from 2016. The United States has the largest number of publications (n=538), followed by China (n=407) and Germany (n=175). The institute with the highest published papers is the University of Pittsburgh (n=67). In terms of author, Robert L Ferris ranks first among the top ten cited authors. Oral Oncology (impact factor (IF) (2021) = 5.972) is the most prolific academic journal in immunotherapy of HNSCC. According to the reference cluster analysis, the research hot topic has shifted from basic research on immunotherapy of head and neck cancer to the study of prognosis. Keywords analysis also reveals that the study of patients' prognoses is at the core of immunotherapy for HNSCC. Conclusion: Currently, head and neck cancer research focus primarily on prognostic significance, cancer treatment, and poor prognosis. However, the researches on immunotherapy for head and neck malignancies is the growing trend in near future. Notably, United States has made significant contributions to this field.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Metabolic Reprogramming in the Tumor Microenvironment From 2003 to 2022

Abstract:Background: Despite considerable progress in cancer immunotherapy, it is not available for many patients. Resistance to immune checkpoint blockers arises from the intricate interactions between cancer and its microenvironment. Metabolic reprogramming in tumor and immune cells in the tumor microenvironment (TME) influences anti-tumor immune responses by remodeling the immune microenvironment. Metabolic reprogramming has emerged as an important hallmark of tumorigenesis. However, few studies have focused on the TME and metabolic reprogramming. Therefore, we aimed to explore the current research status and popular topics in TME-related metabolic reprogramming over a 20 years using a bibliometric approach. Methods: Studies focusing on metabolic reprogramming and TME were searched using the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric and visual analyses of the articles and reviews were performed using Bibliometrix, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace. Results: In total, 4726 articles published between 2003 and 2022 were selected. The number of publications and citations has increased annually. Cooperation network analysis indicated that the United States holds the foremost position in metabolic reprogramming and TME research with the highest volume of publications and citations, thus exerting the greatest influence. Among these institutions, Fudan University displayed the highest level of productivity. Frontiers in Immunology showed the highest degree of productivity in this field. Ho Ping-Chih made the most article contributions, and Pearce Edward J. was the most co-cited author. Four clusters were obtained after a cluster analysis of the authors' keywords: TME, metabolic reprogramming, immunometabolism, and immunity. Immunometabolism, glycolysis, immune cells, and tumor-associated macrophages are relatively recent keywords that have attracted increasing attention. Conclusions: A comprehensive landscape of advancements in metabolic reprogramming and the TME was evaluated, which provided crucial information for scholars to further advance this promising field. Further research should explore new topics related to immunometabolism in the TME using a transdisciplinary approach.

Abstract:Background: Breast cancer is a significant public health issue, exhibiting the most pronounced occurrence and fatality rates among malignant neoplasms globally. Targeted therapy is a medical intervention that focuses on specific molecular markers. This study aims to investigate and evaluate the current research trends and directions in the field of targeted therapy for breast cancer using bibliometric analysis. Method: The Web of Science database was utilized to retrieve relevant articles published between 2003 and 2022. The VOSviewer software and Bibliometrix package in the R language were employed to conduct co-occurrence and clustering analyses of authors, countries, institutions, journals, references, and the CiteSpace tool was utilized for keyword burst detection. Results: A total of 2,258 articles were included and the annual number of publications increased rapidly. The most prolific country on this topic was the USA (n=898, 39.77%) and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center published most papers (n=93). Dennis J. Slamon and Gabriel N. Hortobagyi stood out in the field, with Dennis J. Slamon leading in terms of co-citations(n=653) and Gabriel N. Hortobagyi topping the list in terms of published articles(n=18). The most productive journal was Breast Cancer Research and Treatment and the most cited journal was Journal of Clinical Oncology. The clustering of keywords indicated that the primary focus of researches in the past two decades was on the development and clinical evaluation of tumor-targeted drugs associated with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family signaling pathway, and explored mechanisms related to biological behavior of breast cancer. Keywords co-occurrence and burst analysis identified current research hotspots and potential research trends. Conclusion: This study employed bibliometric analysis to examine research on targeted therapy for breast cancer over a span of 20 years, and identified development trends of research and elucidated potential research trajectories in the domain of this topic. This study helps in the identification of prospective collaborators and partner institutions for researchers.

Research trends and hotspots in the immune microenvironment related to hepatocellular carcinoma: A bibliometric and visualization study

Abstract:Background: The immune microenvironment (IME) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) plays a pivotal role in determining patient outcomes and responses to treatment. This area is witnessing rapid growth in research interest. However, there is a lack of comprehensive bibliometric analyses that dissect trends and potential focal points in this field. Aim: To explore the evolution of research on the IME in HCC from January 1, 2004, to December 31, 2023, using bibliometric methodologies. Methods: English articles and reviews concerning the IME of HCC were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection with a search date of December 31, 2023. The R package Bibliometrix was employed to compute basic bibliometric characteristics, illustrate collaborations among countries and authors, and create a three-field diagram illustrating the connections between authors, affiliations, and keywords. Analyses of country and institutional co-authorship, as well as keyword co-occurrence, were conducted using VOSviewer. Additionally, CiteSpace was utilized for the cite burst analysis of keywords and cited literature. Results: The study encompassed 3125 documents in the research areas related to HCC of IME, revealing a substantial and continuous increase in the annual publication trend over time. China and Fudan University emerged as leading contributors, with 2103 and 165 publications, respectively. Frontiers in immunology was the most prolific journal in this domain. Among the top ten researchers in the field, eight are based in China. Key research terms identified include tumour microenvironment, expression, immunotherapy, and prognosis. Conclusion: The relationship between HCC and IME is receiving increasing attention, and related research is in a highly developed stage. Key focus areas, including IME and immune checkpoint inhibitors, immunotherapy are poised to be central to future research endeavors, offering promising pathways for further exploration.
Bibliometric Analysis of Hotspots and Frontiers of Immunotherapy in Pancreatic Cancer

Abstract:Background: Pancreatic cancer is one of the most common malignant neoplasms with an increasing incidence, low rate of early diagnosis, and high degree of malignancy. In recent years, immunotherapy has made remarkable achievements in various cancer types including pancreatic cancer, due to the long-lasting antitumor responses elicited in the human body. Immunotherapy mainly relies on mobilizing the host's natural defense mechanisms to regulate the body state and exert anti-tumor effects. However, no bibliometric research about pancreatic cancer immunotherapy has been reported to date. This study aimed to assess research trends and offer possible new research directions in pancreatic cancer immunotherapy. Methods: The articles and reviews related to pancreatic cancer immunotherapy were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and an online platform, and were used to analyze co-authorship, citation, co-citation, and co-occurrence of terms retrieved from the literature highlighting the scientific advances in pancreatic cancer immunotherapy. Results: We collected 2475 publications and the number of articles was growing year by year. The United States had a strong presence worldwide with the most articles. The most contributing institution was Johns Hopkins University (103 papers). EM Jaffee was the most productive researcher with 43 papers, and L Zheng and RH Vonderheide ranked second and third, with 34 and 29 papers, respectively. All the keywords were grouped into four clusters: "immunotherapy", "clinical treatment study", "tumor immune cell expression", "tumor microenvironment". In the light of promising hotspots, keywords with recent citation bursts can be summarized into four aspects: immune microenvironment, adaptive immunotherapy, immunotherapy combinations, and molecular and gene therapy. Conclusions: In recent decades, immunotherapy showed great promise for many cancer types, so various immunotherapy approaches have been introduced to treat pancreatic cancer. Understanding the mechanisms of immunosuppressive microenvironment, eliminating immune suppression and blocking immune checkpoints, and combining traditional treatments will be hotspots for future research.

Abstract:Background: Cancer as a deathly disease with high prevalence has impelled researchers to investigate its causative mechanisms in the search for effective therapeutics. Recently, the concept of phase separation has been introduced to biological science and extended to cancer research, which helps reveal various pathogenic processes that have not been identified before. As a process of soluble biomolecules condensed into solid-like and membraneless structures, phase separation is associated with multiple oncogenic processes. However, there are no bibliometric characteristics for these results. To provide future trends and identify new frontiers in this field, a bibliometric analysis was conducted in this study. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) was used to search for literature on phase separation in cancer from 1/1/2009 to 31/12/2022. After screening the literature, statistical analysis and visualization were carried out by the VOSviewer software (version 1.6.18) and Citespace software (Version 6.1.R6). Results: A total of 264 publications, covering 413 organizations and 32 countries, were published in 137 journals, with an increasing trend in publication and citation numbers per year. The USA and China were the two countries with the largest number of publications, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences was the most active institution based on the number of articles and cooperations. Molecular Cell was the most frequent publisher with high citations and H-index. The most productive authors were Fox AH, De Oliveira GAP, and Tompa P. Overlay, whilst few authors had a strong collaboration with each other. The combined analysis of concurrent and burst keywords revealed that the future research hotspots of phase separation in cancer were related to tumor microenvironments, immunotherapy, prognosis, p53, and cell death. Conclusion: Phase separation-related cancer research remained in the hot streak period and exhibited a promising outlook. Although inter-agency collaboration existed, cooperation among research groups was rare, and no author dominated this field at the current stage. Investigating the interfaced effects between phase separation and tumor microenvironments on carcinoma behaviors, and constructing relevant prognoses and therapeutics such as immune infiltration-based prognosis and immunotherapy might be the next research trend in the study of phase separation and cancer.

Abstract:While breast cancer treatments have advanced significantly nowadays, yet metastatic, especially triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), remains challenging with low survival. Cancer immunotherapy, a promising approach for HER2-positive and TNBC, still faces resistance hurdles. Recently, numerous studies have set their sights on the resistance of immunotherapy for breast cancer. Our study provides a thorough comprehension of the current research landscape, hotspots, and emerging breakthroughs in this critical area through a meticulous bibliometric analysis. As of March 26, 2024, a total of 1341 articles on immunology resistance in breast cancer have been gathered from Web of Science Core Collection, including 765 articles and 576 reviews. Bibliometrix, CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were utilized to examine publications and citations per year, prolific countries, contributive institutions, high-level journals and scholars, as well as highly cited articles, references and keywords. The research of immunotherapy resistance in breast cancer has witnessed a remarkable surge over the past seven years. The United States and China have made significant contributions, with Harvard Medical School being the most prolific institution and actively engaging in collaborations. The most contributive author is Curigliano, G from the European Institute of Oncology in Italy, while Wucherpfennig, K. W. from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the USA, had the highest citations. Journals highly productive primarily focus on clinical, immunology and oncology research. Common keywords include "resistance", "expression", "tumor microenvironment", "cancer", "T cell", "therapy", "chemotherapy" and "cell". Current research endeavors to unravel the mechanisms of immune resistance in breast cancer through the integration of bioinformatics, basic experiments, and clinical trials. Efforts are underway to develop strategies that improve the effectiveness of immunotherapy, including the exploration of combination therapies and advancements in drug delivery systems. Additionally, there is a strong focus on identifying novel biomarkers that can predict patient response to immunology. This study will provide researchers with an up-to-date overview of the present knowledge in drug resistance of immunology for breast cancer, serving as a valuable resource for informed decision-making and further research on innovative approaches to address immunotherapy resistance.
Global trends and topics in CDK7 inhibitor research: a bibliometric analysis

Abstract:Background: CDK7 has been demonstrated to play a crucial role in the initiation and progression of malignancy. Therefore, targeting CDK7, which regulates the transcription process, has emerged as a new promising approach for treating cancer. Research on CDK7 inhibitors has significantly increased over the past 2 decades, with almost 600 related papers in the Web of Science Core Collection database. To effectively identify future research hotspots and potential future directions, it is crucial to systematically review and visually present the research on this topic from a comprehensive viewpoint, ensuring scientific reliability. Methods: This study performed bibliometric analysis via CiteSpace and VOSviewer scientometrics analysis software to examine data on the publication of articles on CDK7 inhibitors over the past 2 decades; the data included country of publication, author names, institution names, scientific categories, cited journals, and keywords related to the field of CDK7 inhibitors. Results: This bibliometric analysis included 426 publications from 41 different nations, referencing a total of 15,892 sources. Research associated with CDK7 inhibitors has rapidly expanded since 2016, and the US and China are the two countries with the highest publication output among the countries and institutes that produce literature on CDK7 inhibitors. Furthermore, the US is the country that most frequently engages in international cooperation. The evolution of keywords identifying antitumor strategies related to CDK7-mediated cellular transcription processes has been the research focus in recent years. Conclusion: In this study, we identified research efforts and their evolving patterns and predicted advances in the CDK7 inhibitor field. The knowledge structure of CDK7 inhibitors encompasses pharmacological mechanisms, therapeutic targets, and cancer treatment strategies. The primary objectives of contemporary research are to discover the processes underlying cancer progression, identify specific signaling pathways, and develop effective clinical medicines.
