Abstract:Background : Natural killer (NK) cells are a key factor affecting progression and immune surveillance of clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). This study sought to construct a natural killer cell-related prognostic signature (NKRPS) to predict the outcome of ccRCC patients and to furnish guidance for finding appropriate treatment strategies. Methods : From the TCGA and ArrayExpress databases, transcriptomic profiles and relevant clinical information of ccRCC patients were downloaded for the TCGA cohort (n=515) and the E-MTAB-1980 cohort (n=101). With the univariate Cox analysis and LASSO-Cox regression algorithm, a NKRPS was built to evaluate patients' prognosis. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and calibration curves were drawn to estimate the predictive power of the prognostic model. Then, the tumor microenvironment (TME), tumor mutational burden (TMB), sensitization to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) therapy and targeted drug treatment were analyzed in ccRCC patients. Results : Nine genes (BID, CCL7, CSF2, IL23A, KNSTRN, RHBDD3, PIK3R3, RNF19B and VAV3) were identified to construct a NKRPS. High-risk group displayed undesirable survival compared to low-risk group ( P < 0.05). Moreover, the area under the curve (AUC) of ROC at 1-, 3- and 5-year were 0.766, 0.755 and 0.757, respectively. High-risk group was characterized by superior immune infiltration, higher TMB, and higher expression of five ICI-related genes. Additionally, this model enabled to predict the sensitivity of patients to chemotherapy drugs. Conclusion : NKRPS had a strong predictive power on prognosis of ccRCC patients, which may facilitate individualized treatment and medical decision making. Micro : Natural killer cells play a fundamental role in immune surveillance of ccRCC. A NKRPS was established by univariate Cox and LASSO-Cox regression based on the TCGA cohort (n= 515). The high-risk group exhibited superior immune infiltration and higher expression of ICI-related genes. This suggests that the NKRPS are valuable in predicting prognosis and providing a therapeutic reference for ccRCC patients.

Abstract:Despite extensive studies of the mucosal immune system in the female reproductive tract (FRT) and its regulation by sex hormones, relatively little attention has been paid to the tissue environment in the FRT that regulates immune cell function. Consisting of secretions from epithelial cells (EC), stromal fibroblasts, and immune cells in tissues from the upper (Fallopian tubes, uterus, and endocervix) and lower (ectocervix and vagina) tracts, each tissue compartment is unique and precisely regulates immune cells to optimize conditions for successful pregnancy and protection against sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. Our goal in this review is to focus on the mucosal (tissue) environment in the upper and lower FRT. Specifically, this review will identify the contributions of EC and fibroblasts to the tissue environment and examine the impact of this environment on HIV‐target cells. Much remains to be learned about the complex interactions with the tissue environment at different sites in the FRT and the ways in which they are regulated by sex hormones and chemical contraceptives. Awareness of the involvement of the tissue environment in determining immune cell function and HIV acquisition is crucial for understanding the mechanisms that lead to HIV prevention, acquisition, and the development of new therapeutic modalities of immune protection.
[A clinical study of six cases of toxic shock-like syndrome by group A Streptococcus].

Abstract:We have encountered six cases with toxic shock-like syndrome (TSLS) by Group A Streptococcus since 1978. Every patient had from the onset flu-like symptoms or high fever and immediately developed some of the following clinical signs: hypotension, acute renal failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), and adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Three of the six patients died with rapid clinical courses and three survived. As for the surviving patients, early administration of antibiotics and anti-DIC therapy were effective. Streptococcus pyogenes were isolated from the blood in five of the patients, ascites from another, and necrotizing tissue in one patient. The serovars of the isolated strains were typed as T1/M1 in three, T8 in one, and T28 in another. The toxin-type of the strains were typed as B in four and B + C in one. Though there have been few reports of TSLS before 1992 in Japan, it is supposed that many TSLS cases may have potentially occurred.

Abstract:1 The purpose of this study was to determine the in vivo inhibitory efficacy of azopropazone on neutrophil migration. The effects of azapropazone given at a dose of 100 mg kg−1 i.v. every 2 h on the neutrophil migration into skin inflammation sites (blister fluid) as well as into an autologous serum (± chemoattractant) placed above the blister surface (2nd chamber) were determined. 2 Azapropazone treatment schedule maintained blood levels at 70–100 μg ml−1 throughout the time course (360 min) of the experiment. 3 Azapropazone significantly inhibited (48 ± 6%) neutrophil migration into the blister fluid (as evident from the decrease in myeloperoxidase activity). 4 Azapropazone significantly inhibited the neutrophil migration into the autologous serum either with (65 ± 5%) or (35 ± 6%) without the chemoattractant, formyl‐methionyl‐leucyl‐phenylalanine (FMLP). The chemoattractant, FMLP, markedly increased neutrophil migration into the autologous serum by approximately 1.5 to 2 times the non‐FMLP treated group. Azapropazone was more efficacious in inhibiting the neutrophil migration in the presence of FMLP than in its absence. 5 We conclude that azapropazone is an effective inhibitor of neutrophil migration into topically inflamed sites in anaesthetized swine.
A novel prognostic model based on immunogenomics for clear cell renal cell carcinoma

Abstract:Background: Immune cell infiltration into tumor tissue is closely related to the clinical outcomes of patients with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). This study aimed to screen out potential immune genes associated with ccRCC, analyze their relationships with clinical outcomes, and construct a signature to predict ccRCC. Methods: The transcriptome RNA-sequencing data in 539 ccRCC and 72 adjacent normal tissues were obtained from TCGA database. Biomedical computational algorithms were conducted to identify immune-related differential expressed genes (IRDGs) and enriched pathways. Then, LASSO Cox and multivariate Cox analyses were performed to screen out genes that were then used to construct the prognostic model. Results: A total of 116 down-regulated and 565 up-regulated IRDGs were identified. Pathway enrichment analysis suggested that IRDGs was mainly enriched in the pathway of "cytokines and cytokine receptors". The entire data of ccRCC were randomly divided into the training set and the test set with a ratio of 1:1. A 4-gene signature was then constructed using LASSO Cox analysis and multivariate Cox analysis in the training set. This prognostic signature could stratify patients into high- and low-risk groups successfully, and serve as an independent predictor when adjusted with clinical factors by univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis. These results were verified in the test set and the entire set. Besides, the abundance of CD4 + T cells and dendritic cells increased in the high-risk group. Finally, we built a nomogram incorporating risk score and clinical factors to predict the overall survival of ccRCC patients. Conclusions: These findings may contribute to the research of ccRCC in immunization part.
Prognostic significance of immune evasion-related genes in clear cell renal cell carcinoma immunotherapy

Abstract:Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) represents a prevalent malignancy of the urinary system. Despite the integration of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) into the treatment paradigm for advanced RCC, resistance to immunotherapy has emerged as a pivotal determinant impacting the clinical outlook of ccRCC. Accumulating evidence underscores the pivotal role of immune evasion-related genes and pathways in enabling tumor escape from host immune surveillance, consequently influencing patients' responsiveness to immunotherapy. Nonetheless, the clinical relevance of immune evasion-related genes in ccRCC patients undergoing immunotherapy remains inadequately understood. In this study, we aggregated RNA sequencing and clinical data from ccRCC patients across three cohorts: the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), CheckMate cohorts, and the JAVELIN Renal 101 trial. Leveraging a curated immune evasion-related gene set from Lawson et al., we employed the LASSO algorithm and Cox regression analysis to identify eight genes (LPAR6, RGS5, NFYC, PCDH17, CENPW, CNOT8, FOXO3, SNRPB) significantly associated with immune therapy prognosis (HR, 3.57; 95 % CI, 2.38-5.35; P<0.001). A predictive algorithm developed utilizing these genes exhibited notable accuracy in forecasting patients' progression-free survival in the training set (AUC, 0.835). Furthermore, stratification of patients by risk score revealed discernible differences in immunotherapy response and tumor microenvironment. In summary, we present a prognostic model intricately linked with immune status and treatment response. For ccRCC patients undergoing immunotherapy, this approach holds promise in aiding clinical decision-making by providing more precise and tailored treatment recommendations.
Development and validation of an immune prognostic classifier for clear cell renal cell carcinoma

Abstract:Background: Tumor-infiltrating immune cells are indispensable to the progression and prognosis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the clinical implications of immune cell infiltrates in ccRCC. Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database (N= 515) and E-MTAB-1980 cohort of patients (N= 101) were adopted to estimate the prognostic value of immune cell infiltration. Twenty-four types of immune cells were evaluated using single-sample gene set enrichment analysis. Cox regression analyses were conducted to develop an immune risk score. Results: Survival analyses revealed that 13 genes significantly associated with the overall survival (OS). Furthermore, multivariate Cox analysis identified an immune risk score on the basis of mast cells, natural killer CD56bright cells, T helper 17 (Th17) cells, and Th2 cells. The immune risk score was associated with OS, with hazard ratios of 2.72 (95% CI 2.17-3.40) and 3.24 (95% CI 1.64-6.44) in TCGA and E-MTAB-1980 datasets, respectively. This immune risk score was significantly correlated with some immunotherapy-related biomarkers. Conclusions: We profiled a prognostic signature and established an immune risk score model for ccRCC, which could provide novel predictive markers for patients with ccRCC and an indicator for immunotherapy response measurement.
Comprehensive analysis of cellular senescence-related genes in the prognosis, tumor microenvironment, and immunotherapy/chemotherapy of clear cell renal cell carcinoma

Abstract:Background: The transcriptome public database and advances in biological discoveries contributed to significant progresses in identifying the drivers of cancer progression. Cellular senescence (CS) is considered as a leading factor resulting in cancer development. The purpose of this study was to explore the significance of CS-related genes in the molecular classification and survival outcome of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Methods: CS-related genes were obtained from the CellAge database, and patients from TCGA-KIRC dataset and ICGC dataset were clustered by ConsesusClusterPlus. The characteristics of overall survival (OS), genomic variation, and tumor microenvironment (TME) of each cluster were analyzed. Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) Cox regression analysis was conducted to develop a CS-related risk model to score ccRCC patients and assess the risk scores in predicting patients' response to immunotherapy and chemotherapy. A nomogram based on the risk model was established to improve the risk stratification of patients. Results: CcRCC was divided into three molecular subtypes based on CS-related genes. The three molecular phenotypes showed different OS and clinical manifestations, mutation patterns, and TME states. Five genes were obtained from nine differentially expressed CS-related genes in the three molecular subtypes to develop a risk model. Patients with ccRCC were divided into high- and low-risk subgroups. The former showed an unfavorable OS, with a significantly higher genomic variation rate, TME score, and numerous immune checkpoint expressions when compared to the low-risk subgroup. Risk score reflected the response of patients to axitinib, bortezomib, sorafenib, sunitinib, and temsirolimus. Conclusions: In general, CS-related genes divided ccRCC into three molecular subtypes with distinct OS, mutation patterns, and TME states. The risk model based on the five CS-related genes can predict the prognosis and therapeutic outcome of ccRCC patients, providing a theoretical basis for further study on the molecular mechanism of CS-related ccRCC.
Prognostic Value and Immune Infiltration of Novel Signatures in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma Microenvironment

Abstract:Growing evidence has highlighted the immune response as an important feature of carcinogenesis and therapeutic efficacy in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). This study categorized ccRCC cases into high and low score groups based on their immune/stromal scores generated by the ESTIMATE algorithm, and identified an association between these scores and prognosis. Differentially expressed tumor environment (TME)-related genes extracted from common upregulated components in immune and stromal scores were described using functional annotations and protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks. Most PPIs were selected for further prognostic investigation. Many additional previously neglected signatures, including AGPAT9, AQP7, HMGCS2, KLF15, MLXIPL, PPARGC1A, exhibited significant prognostic potential. In addition, multivariate Cox analysis indicated that MIXIPL and PPARGC1A were the most significant prognostic signatures, and were closely related to immune infiltration in TCGA cohort. External prognostic validation of MIXIPL and PPARGC1A was undertaken in 380 ccRCC cases from a real-world cohort. These findings indicate the relevance of monitoring and manipulation of the microenvironment for ccRCC prognosis and precision immunotherapy.

Abstract:Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic relapsing inflammatory skin disease. Its main features are eczematous skin lesions with a typical distribution and severe pruritus. Allergens, skin irritants, systemic or local infections, environmental pollutants and hormonal changes have a role in the pathophysiology of AD. A further important trigger factor for both intrinsic and extrinsic AD is emotional stress. Recently published observations point to direct psychoneuroimmunological and -endocrinological mechanisms: Psychological stress causes a transient increase of peripheral blood eosinophil count and an increase in both CD8+/CD11b+ and CLA+ T-cells. In addition, stress changes the cytokine and the hormone profile with increased levels of IFN-gamma and IL-5, and decreased levels of cortisol in AD patients in contrast to healthy controls. These findings underline the role of immunological changes and a possible suppressed hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis closing the loop for the final aggravation of AD.
Integrative Analysis of the Genomic and Immune Microenvironment Characteristics Associated With Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma Progression: Implications for Prognosis and Immunotherapy

Abstract:Unlike early clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), locally advanced and metastatic ccRCC present poor treatment outcomes and prognosis. As immune checkpoint inhibitors have achieved favorable results in the adjuvant treatment of metastatic ccRCC, we aimed to investigate the immunogenomic landscape during ccRCC progression and its potential impact on immunotherapy and prognosis. Using multi-omics and immunotherapy ccRCC datasets, an integrated analysis was performed to identify genomic alterations, immune microenvironment features, and related biological processes during ccRCC progression and evaluate their relevance to immunotherapy response and prognosis. We found that aggressive and metastatic ccRCC had higher proportions of genomic alterations, including SETD2 mutations, Del(14q), Del(9p), and higher immunosuppressive cellular and molecular infiltration levels. Of these, the Del(14q) might mediate immune escape in ccRCC via the VEGFA-VEGFR2 signaling pathway. Furthermore, immune-related pathways associated with ccRCC progression did not affect the immunotherapeutic response to ccRCC. Conversely, cell cycle pathways not only affected ccRCC progression and prognosis, but also were related to ccRCC immunotherapeutic response resistance. Overall, we described the immunogenomic characteristics of ccRCC progression and their correlations with immunotherapeutic response and prognosis, providing new insights into their prediction and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Abstract:Background The treatment of clear‐cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains challenge. Chemokines laid impact on the proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells. The objective was to identify the chemokine‐related genes and construct a prognostic model for ccRCC. Methods Bulk transcriptomic data (n = 531), single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) dataset GSE159115, and other validation cohorts were acquired from the Cancer Genome Atlas Program (TCGA) and GEO databases. All clustering analysis was conducted by Seurat R package. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA), immune infiltration analysis, single nucleotide variations (SNV) analysis, and predictive response analysis of immunotherapy/chemotherapy were conducted. 786‐O and A498 cell lines were cultured and applied into CCK‐8, Western blot, and RT‐qPCR kits. Results Univariate Cox analysis was used to screen out chemokine‐related genes related to survival. ZIC2, SMIM24, COL7A1, IGF2BP3, ITPKA, ADAMTS14, CYP3A7, and AURKB were identified and applied for the construction of the prognostic model. High‐risk group had a poorer prognosis than the low‐risk group in each dataset. Memory CD8+ T cells, macrophages, and memory B cells were higher in the high‐risk group, while the content of basophils was higher in the low‐risk group. Bortezomib_1191, Dactinomycin_1911, Docetaxel_1007, and Daporinad_1248 were more sensitive to high‐risk groups than low‐risk groups. Moreover, we found that IGF2BP3 significantly elevated in both 786‐O and A498 cell lines resistance to sunitinib. Knockdown of IGF2BP3 markedly reduced ccRCC cell migration and viability. Conclusion Our study has yielded a novel prognostic model of chemokine‐related genes based on comprehensive transcriptional atlas of ccRCC patients, shedding light on the significant impact of the tumor microenvironment on biology and immunotherapy response of ccRCC. We identified IGF2BP3 as a pivotal regulator in regulating ccRCC resistance to sunitinib.

Integrated analysis of histone modification features in clear cell renal cancer for risk stratification and therapeutic prediction

Abstract:Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is a common urological malignancy that is involved in tumor genesis and development. However, few studies have focused on the predictive role of the global histone modification status in ccRCC. A total of 621 patients with complete transcript information and corresponding clinical profiles were obtained from TCGA-KIRC, GSE22541, and EMTAB3267 cohorts. A total of 122 histone modification relevant pathways were derived from MSigDB, and their activation status was quantified using GSVA. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified and filtrated using univariate Cox regression analysis. The signature was built relied on the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression analysis, and evaluated from survival difference, chemotherapy response, and activated pathways. A novel nomogram was established to quantify the probability of death in different patients. Seven risky and fifty-eight protective genes were used in LASSO analysis, and six genes were used to build the histone modification gene (HiMG) signature, which showed significant independent prognostic potential in all three cohorts. The nomogram showed acceptable incremental predictions. CKS2 (p = 0.004) and PD1 (p = 0.002) expression were significantly higher in grade 3 ccRCC than in grades 1-2. CKS2 siRNA in renal cancer cells caused reductions in cellular proliferation, migration, and invasion. Patients with low HiMG may be potential responders to rapamycin, erlotinib and FH535, while AZD6482 and CHIR-99,021 may be more suitable for patients with high HiMG levels. ccRCC histone modification distribution and a clinical signature for prognosis prediction, clinical decision making, and molecular mechanism exploration, were established for risk stratification and personalized treatments.

Abstract:Background: Immunotherapy has become a new direction of current research because the effect of traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is not satisfactory. T cell proliferation-related genes (TRGs) play a pivotal role in tumor progression by regulating the proliferation, activity, and function of immune cells. The purpose of our study is to construct and verify a prognostic model based on TRGs and to identify tumor subtypes that may guide treatment through comprehensive bioinformatics analyses. Methods: RNA sequencing data, clinical information, and somatic mutation data of ccRCC are obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. We identified the prognosis-related TRGs which were differentially expressed between normal and tumor tissues. After dividing the patients into a train set and a test set according to proportion 1:1 randomly, the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and multivariate Cox regression analysis were performed to construct a risk-stratified model. Its prediction performance was verified. Then, Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA), principal component analysis (PCA), tumor microenvironment (TME) analysis, and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) prediction were performed between the different groups of patients. To further discuss the immunotherapy between hot and cold tumors, we divided all patients into two clusters based on TRGs through unsupervised learning. Analyzing the gene mutation and calculating the tumor mutation burden (TMB), we further explored the relationship between somatic mutations and grouping or clustering. Results: Risk-stratified model and nomogram predict the prognosis of ccRCC patients accurately. Functional enrichment analyses suggested that TRGs mainly focused on the biological pathways related to tumor progression and immune response. Different tumor microenvironment, drug resistance, and TMB can be distinguished clearly according to both risk stratification and tumor subtype clustering. Conclusion: In this study, a new stratification model of ccRCC based on TRGs was established, which can accurately predict the prognosis of patients. IC50 prediction may guide the application of anti-tumor drugs. The distinction between hot and cold tumors provides a reference for clinical immunotherapy.
Prognostic impact of lactylation‐associated gene modifications in clear cell renal cell carcinoma: Insights into molecular landscape and therapeutic opportunities

Abstract:Abstract Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) stands as a challenging subtype of kidney cancer, frequently complicating patient prognosis due to factors like postsurgical recurrences or late‐stage diagnoses. In this study, we employed bioinformatics to investigate lactylation modifications in ccRCC, focusing on the TCGA‐KIRC cohort. Out of 328 lactylation‐associated genes, 31 emerged as differentially expressed, with 16 showing a marked correlation with overall survival. These genes exhibited strong protein–protein interactions and significant expression correlations. Intriguingly, a notable loss of gene copy numbers suggests potential implications in tumor progression. Utilizing unsupervised clustering, KIRC samples were grouped into two distinct subcategories, each showcasing different survival outcomes. While pathway enrichment highlighted an aggressive, inflammation‐driven profile for subgroup 2, subgroup 1 was characterized by metabolic prominence. Furthermore, subgroup 2 presented an intensified inflammatory response, hinting at potential immune exhaustion. Capitalizing on machine learning, we developed a risk model using the TCGA‐KIRC dataset, efficiently categorizing ccRCC patients into high‐ and low‐risk clusters. Notably, those in the low‐risk group indicated a more favorable survival trajectory. Clinical evaluations further corroborated these findings, linking better outcomes with reduced risk scores. Additionally, observed mutation patterns allude to a potential association between elevated risk scores and cytokine storms. TIDE analysis illuminated possible immunotherapeutic benefits for the low‐risk group, underscored by an evident rise in microsatellite instability. Finally, our drug sensitivity evaluations revealed distinct therapeutic responses between the groups. In summary, this research underscores the pivotal role of lactylation modifications in ccRCC and introduces a promising prognostic model. These revelations pave the way for enhanced prognostic precision, presenting a promising path toward personalized treatment strategies and enriching our comprehension of the multifaceted molecular landscape of the disease.

Abstract:Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer associated with poor prognosis, and accounts for the majority of RCC‐related deaths. The lack of comprehensive diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers has limited further understanding of the pathophysiology of ccRCC. Super‐enhancers (SEs) are congregated enhancer clusters that have a key role in tumor processes such as epithelial‐mesenchymal transition, metabolic reprogramming, immune escape and resistance to apoptosis. RCC may also be immunogenic and sensitive to immunotherapy. In the present study, an Arraystar human SE‐long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) microarray was first employed to profile the differentially expressed SE‐lncRNAs and mRNAs in 5 paired ccRCC and peritumoral tissues and to identify SE‐related genes. The overlap of these genes with immune genes was then determined to identify SE‐related immune genes. A model for predicting clinical prognosis and response to immunotherapy was built following the comprehensive analysis of a ccRCC gene expression dataset from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. The patients from TCGA were divided into high‐ and low‐risk groups based on the median score derived from the risk model, and the Kaplan‐Meier survival analysis showed that the low‐risk group had a higher survival probability. In addition, according to the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, the risk model had more advantages than other clinical factors in predicting the overall survival (OS) rate of patients with ccRCC. Using this model, it was demonstrated that the high‐risk group had a more robust immune response. Furthermore, 61 potential drugs with half‐maximal inhibitory concentration values that differed significantly between the two patient groups were screened to investigate potential drug treatment of ccRCC. In summary, the present study provided a novel index for predicting the survival probability of patients with ccRCC and may provide some insights into the mechanisms through which SE‐related immune genes influence the diagnosis, prognosis and potential treatment drugs of ccRCC.

Abstract:Background Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is associated with poor prognostic outcomes. The current stratifying system does not predict prognostic outcomes and therapeutic benefits precisely for RCC patients. Here, we aim to construct an immune prognostic predictive model to assist clinician to predict RCC prognosis. Methods Herein, an immune prognostic signature was developed, and its predictive ability was confirmed in the kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) cohorts based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset. Several immunogenomic analyses were conducted to investigate the correlations between immune risk scores and immune cell infiltrations, immune checkpoints, cancer genotypes, tumor mutational burden, and responses to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Results The immune prognostic signature contained 14 immune-associated genes and was found to be an independent prognostic factor for KIRC. Furthermore, the immune risk score was established as a novel marker for predicting the overall survival outcomes for RCC. The risk score was correlated with some significant immunophenotypic factors, including T cell infiltration, antitumor immunity, antitumor response, oncogenic pathways, and immunotherapeutic and chemotherapeutic response. Conclusions The immune prognostic, predictive model can be effectively and efficiently used in the prediction of survival outcomes and immunotherapeutic responses of RCC patients.
