Abstract:Introduction: Hemobilia due to pseudoaneurysm rupture is a rare, life-threatening complication of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) that can cause rapid hemodynamic instability. Therefore, symptoms of hemobilia must be assessed carefully. Presentation of case: An 88-year-old woman underwent LC in our hospital, and blood tests revealed elevation of hepatobiliary enzyme levels on postoperative day (POD) 12. Computed tomography (CT) showed a high absorption area in the common bile duct (CBD), and a diagnosis of hemobilia and a pseudoaneurysm without active bleeding into the abdominal cavity was made. There was no leakage of contrast medium outside the CBD during endoscopic retrograde cholangiography; thus, an endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) tube was inserted on POD 12 and an endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage (ERBD) stent was placed in the CBD on POD 13. Thereafter, hepatobiliary enzyme levels gradually normalized and the ENBD tube and ERBD stent were removed on POD 27 and POD 54, respectively. The patient was discharged on POD 66. Discussion: Hemostasis establishment using surgery or intervention radiology is often required for the treatment of hemobilia due to pseudoaneurysms; however, conservative treatment was effective in our case and we were able to pursue a minimally invasive approach. Erosion due to clip penetration or incomplete clipping of the cystic artery or its branches during surgery may have caused the cystic artery pseudoaneurysm. Conclusion: Hemobilia could be life threatening and cause acute hemodynamic instability; therefore, prompt diagnosis is required. Although the frequency of complication is low, the possibility of hemobilia after LC should be considered.
Emergency cholecystectomy and hepatic arterial repair in a patient presenting with haemobilia and massive gastrointestinal haemorrhage due to a spontaneous cystic artery gallbladder fistula masquerading as a pseudoaneurysm

Abstract:Background: Haemobilia usually occurs secondary to accidental or iatrogenic hepatobiliary trauma. It can occasionally present with cataclysmal upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage posing as a life threatening emergency. Haemobilia can very rarely be a complication of acute cholecystitis. Here we report a case of haemobilia manifesting as massive gastrointestinal haemorrhage in a patient without any prior history of biliary surgery or intervention and present a brief review of literature. Case presentation: A 22 year old male admitted with history suggestive of acute cholecystitis subsequently developed waxing waning jaundice and recurrent episodes of upper gastrointestinal bleed. Endoscopy showed an ulcer in the first part of duodenum with a clot, no active bleed was visible. Angiography was suggestive of a ruptured pseudoaneurysm in the vicinity of the right hepatic artery probably originating from the cystic artery. Coil embolization was tried but the coil dislodged into the right branch of hepatic artery distal to the site of pseudoaneurysm. Review of angiographic video in light of operative findings demonstrated a fistulous communication between cystic artery and gallbladder as the cause, a simultaneous cholecystoduodenal fistula was also noted. Retrograde cholecystectomy, closure of cholecystoduodenal fistula and right hepatic arteriotomy with retrieval of the endo-coil and hepatic arterial repair was performed. Conclusion: Fistula between the cystic artery and gallbladder has been commonly reported to occur after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Spontaneous fistulous communication, i.e. in the absence of any prior trauma or intervention, between cystic artery and gallbladder is rare with very few reports in literature. Aetiopathogenesis of the disease, in the context of current literature is reviewed. The diagnostic dilemma posed by the confounding finding of an ulcer in the duodenum, the iconic video angiographic depiction as also the therapeutic challenge of a failed embolization with consequent microcoil migration and primary hepatic arterial repair in the emergency situation is discussed.
Hemobilia From an Unlikely Culprit: A Case of a Ruptured Pseudoaneurysm

Abstract:Introduction: Hemobilia, or bleeding from the hepatobiliary tract, is a rare cause of GI bleeding and jaundice. Most cases of hemobilia are iatrogenic secondary to hepatobiliary interventions, however, trauma and malignancy also represent a major source. We present a case of hemobilia secondary to a hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm, in the setting of acute cholecystitis and metastatic liver disease. Case Description/Methods: A 67-year-old man presented with 3 days of RUQ abdominal pain radiating to the epigastrium. On arrival, he was tachycardic, afebrile, and normotensive. He had RUQ tenderness and icterus. Laboratory findings were significant for leukocytosis, anemia, transaminitis, elevated alkaline phosphatase, and hyperbilirubinemia. An ultrasound of the abdomen was suggestive of calculous cholecystitis and a dilated CBD of 0.8 cm. He underwent a EUS which revealed a dilated CBD with heterogeneous mater. An ERCP showed altered blood at the ampulla. A sphincterotomy was performed and a large blood clot was extracted from the CBD via balloon sweeps. Two plastic stents were then placed for drainage after which brisk arterial bleeding was noted. Urgent angiography revealed evidence of a ruptured pseudoaneurysm arising from the anterior division of the right hepatic artery near segment 8 of the liver. Successful coil embolization was performed. A CT scan of the abdomen revealed rectal thickening and hypoenhancing liver lesions suggestive of metastatic disease. On flexible sigmoidoscopy, a fungating, partially obstructing rectal mass was seen, biopsies of which were positive for invasive adenocarcinoma. Cholecystitis confirmed on HIDA scan was treated conservatively with antibiotics. He was subsequently discharged and started on chemotherapy as an outpatient. He is now planned for a repeat ERCP with stent exchange. Discussion: Hemobilia can masquerade as biliary stones on EUS. Management includes early diagnosis, identification of the source of bleeding, achieving hemostasis, and relieving the obstruction. Transcatheter arterial embolization is preferred if there are any signs of arterial extravasation. Biliary obstruction can be relieved with ERCP and stent placement. In the presence of underlying malignancy, infiltrative disease and its surrounding vascular friability are often implicated. However, a benign etiology should not be overlooked as illustrated in our case. An unusual case of acute cholecystitis complicated by haemobilia and Mirizzi-like obstruction: a case report and review of literature

Abstract:Introduction: Cystic artery pseudoaneurysm rupture presents a rare yet potentially fatal aetiology for upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleed. While uncommon, its incidence has been rising with increased hepatobiliary surgical interventions, predominantly attributed to iatrogenic injury and rarely secondary to acute cholecystitis. Clinical manifestations typically include epigastric pain, upper GI haemorrhage, and obstructive jaundice. Due to its rarity, it is often excluded from initial differential diagnoses. Case report: This is an unusual case of a 54-year-old male who presented with acute cholecystitis complicated by haemobilia and Mirizzi-like obstruction, in the setting of cystic artery pseudoaneurysm rupture. Initially, urgent transcatheter angiographic embolization of the cystic artery was performed to achieve hemodynamic stability. However, a triphasic computed tomography (CT) scan revealed the first attempt was unsuccessful, necessitating a second embolization. Subsequent imaging confirmed satisfactory embolization; however, a small area of liver necrosis was observed adjacent to the gallbladder. The patient was stable at discharge from the hospital and had an uncomplicated interval cholecystectomy. Discussion: This case highlights the complexity and challenges associated with diagnosing and managing cystic artery pseudoaneurysm rupture. Diagnosis often relies on arterial phase contrast-enhanced CT scan. While no guideline currently exist, management typically involves achieving hemodynamic stability through Transcatheter angiographic embolization, followed by interval cholecystectomy. Conclusion: Early recognition and intervention are crucial in managing cystic artery pseudoaneurysm rupture to prevent life-threatening haemorrhagic shock. Clinicians need to consider this rare condition in patients with upper GI bleeding and abnormal liver function tests.

Abstract:Postpancreatectomy hemorrhage (PPH) is one of the most common complications after pancreatoduodenectomy (PD). It mainly includes gastrointestinal hemorrhage and abdominal hemorrhage. With the development of digestive endoscopy and ultrasonic/radiological interventional technology, hemostasis can be effectively performed by minimally invasive methods in many patients with PPH. This report describes the successful treatment of multiple episodes of postoperative hemorrhage after PD. The patient developed anastomotic hemorrhage after PD and was successfully treated by endoscopic hemostasis. However, he also developed intra-abdominal hemorrhage after PD caused by a pseudoaneurysm that had formed next to the common hepatic artery. We effectively performed hemostasis by injecting lyophilized thrombin powder into the pseudoaneurysm with ultrasound guidance, which is a rarely used method. This case indicates that digestive endoscopy provides great advantages in the treatment of gastrointestinal hemorrhage after PD. For patients who develop PPH with a pseudoaneurysm, interventional ultrasonography is an option if transcatheter arterial embolization or covered stenting fails.

Abstract:Rationale: Splenic artery aneurysm (SAA) is the most common visceral artery aneurysm, while most SAAs are treated by endovascular or open procedures. Patient concerns: Here we present a case of SAA treated by laparoscopic aneurysmectomy with end-to-end anastomosis. Diagnoses: A 40-year-old woman was incidentally found to have an asymptomatic distal SAA. CT scan revealed the SAA to be located at the hilum of the spleen, with a maximal diameter of 2.7 cm. Interventions: To prevent sudden rupture, the patient received laparoscopic aneurysmectomy. During the operation, end-to-end anastomosis was also performed since a tortuous proximal splenic artery prevented delivery of the stent graft. Outcomes: The patient was ambulated 12 hours after surgery and discharged 5 days later. Postoperative recovery was smooth without hemorrhage, infarction, infection, or splenic artery thrombosis. At 10-month follow-up, no hemorrhage, aneurysm recurrence, spleen infarction, splenic artery stenosis, or thrombosis had occurred. Lessons: Patients with distal SAA can be treated by laparoscopic aneurysmectomy with end-to-end anastomosis to preserve the spleen. The laparoscopic procedure is safe and feasible in the selected patients.

Rare cause of obstructive haemobilia with recurrent biliopancreatic complications: a paradigmatic case

Abstract:Haemobilia is an unusual but significant cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Two-thirds of haemobilia cases are secondary to invasive hepato-biliopancreatic procedures. Biliary angiodysplasia is exceptionally unusual, with only three cases reported. Herein, we report the case of an autonomous 80-year-old woman with a history of cholecystectomy 5 years ago and cardiovascular disease-hypertension, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, stroke and non-valvular atrial fibrillation, anticoagulated with apixaban 2.5 mg two times per day. Since July 2019, she had four episodes of acute cholangitis of mild-to-moderate severity, having undergone broad spectrum antibiotics treatment and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), with sphincterotomy and bile sludge extraction. After 3 months, the patient presented with a new episode of acute cholangitis, this time with haemobilia (Quincke's triad). An abdominal CT angiography showed no evidence of active bleeding, with plastic biliary prosthesis left by ERCP. The patient continued presenting new episodes of acute cholangitis with haemobilia, some of them with associated pancreatitis. A cholangioscopy with Spyglass DS II was performed, showing an angiodysplasia occupying half of the luminal circumference of the middle choledoccus, without active haemorrhage. After a multidisciplinary meeting and given the high haemorrhagic/thrombotic risk (CHA2DS2-VASc 8), closure of the left atrial appendage was considered. However, relapse of the condition after beginning the antiaggregation protocol for cardiovascular intervention made it unfeasible. Another cholangioscopy with an ultra-thin endoscope for argon-plasma coagulation was attempted, without success. The abdominal CT angiography was repeated, this time with identification of dilated ramifications of the gastroduodenal and inferior pancreatic arteries. After embolisation of these aberrant vessels with microcoils, the patient went well, with no recurrence of bleeding or biliopancreatic complications. We present a case of obstructive haemobilia with multiple biliopancreatic complications, secondary to an extremely rare cause-choledochal angiodysplasia. Cholangioscopy had a decisive role in the diagnosis and therapeutic guidance. The diagnostic/therapeutic challenge associated with haemobilia stands out, with the need for a personalised and multidisciplinary approach.

Abstract:Laparoscopic surgery is extensively applied in the treatment of hepatobiliary diseases. Hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm (HAP) is a rare complication following hepatic biliary surgery through laparoscopy. The clinical manifestations of HAP are diverse and can be fatal. Given its severity, rapid assessment and management are crucial to ensuring a good prognosis. Here, we report three cases of HAP; two underwent laparoscopic surgery due to cholelithiasis, and another caused by trauma. The first case exhibited a pseudoaneurysm involving the distal portion of the right hepatic artery main trunk. The second patient had a pseudoaneurysm at the bifurcation of the left and right hepatic arteries. The third case involved a patient with a pseudoaneurysm involving a branch of the right hepatic artery. The main clinical manifestations of all three cases were bleeding from the biliary tract (the first two cases showed postoperative bleeding in the T-tube, while the third case exhibited gastrointestinal bleeding). The final diagnosis was obtained through digital subtraction angiography. The three patients underwent successful transcatheter arterial embolization operation and a follow-up revealed they were disease-free and alive. This article aims to highlight a rare complication of laparoscopic hepatobiliary surgery and share our experience in early diagnosis and treatment of HAP.

Stent-graft placement for delayed extrahepatic portal hemorrhage after surgical treatment for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma: A case report

Abstract:Introduction: Potential curative therapy for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma requires extensive surgical treatment, which can still be associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Postoperative hemorrhage from the portal vein is a rare but life-threatening complication. We herein report postoperative hemorrhage from an extrahepatic portal vein pseudoaneurysm successfully treated by stent graft placement late after surgical treatment for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma. Presentation of case: An 83-year-old man was referred to our hospital with a chief complaint of jaundice. Based on radiological findings, we diagnosed the patient with hilar cholangiocarcinoma. After endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage, resection of the extrahepatic bile duct combined with extended left hemi-hepatectomy, including the caudate lobe, lymphadenectomy of the hepatoduodenal ligament, partial resection and reconstruction of the portal vein, and right hepaticojejunostomy was performed. Fourteen days postoperatively, bleeding through the abdominal drain around the portal vein was observed. Twenty days postoperatively, abdominal computed tomography revealed a portal vein pseudoaneurysm that had formed at the portion of reconstruction. Therefore, 24 days postoperatively, a stent graft placement of the pseudoaneurysm through the ileocolic vein was performed. Subsequently, the portal vein hemorrhage ceased. Discussion: Our present postoperative extrahepatic portal vein hemorrhage case was caused by an extrahepatic portal vein pseudoaneurysm that had formed at the reconstructed portion by erosion due to the chemical effect of the leaking bile and mechanical irritation of the surgical drain adjacent to the portal vein. Conclusion: Stent-graft placement is a minimally-invasive, safe, and effective treatment option for hemorrhage from postoperative portal vein pseudoaneurysm.

Abstract:ObjectiveTo acquaint with the presentation and management of the cystic artery aneurysm by enriching the reviewed literature with our own experience.BackgroundCystic artery pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon entity with varied clinical presentation. Inflammation and trauma are associated with most of the cases. Limited experience with the condition challenges the management of individual cases.Materials and methodsWe retrieved all the reported cases of cystic artery pseudoaneurysm, published up to December 2019, from the PubMed database and excluded those arising as postoperative complications. A total of 59 cases were analyzed, and we also included our experience of managing a case of cystic artery pseudoaneurysm.ResultsAbdominal pain (77.9%) was the most common presentation followed by upper GI bleed (64.4%), while 19 patients (32.2%) had presented with classic Quincke’s Triad. Most of the cases were diagnosed following the rupture of the pseudoaneurysm (n = 49, 83.05%). Fifteen patients presented with shock. Hyperbilirubinemia (59.3%) and anemia (55.9%) were the commonest laboratory findings. Although CT angiogram remains the investigation of choice, a conventional angiogram is the gold standard and sufficed as the definitive management in 20 cases. Cholecystectomy formed the definitive management in the rest of the cases. We successfully managed a middle-aged female patient of cystic artery aneurysm with xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis by open cholecystectomy.ConclusionCystic artery pseudoaneurysms are amenable to successful management with careful evaluation and timely cholecystectomy or angioembolization or a combination of both.

Abstract:We report a case of ruptured cystic artery pseudoaneurysm after self-expandable metal stent placement for malignant biliary obstruction. A 78-year-old woman on palliative care after chemotherapy for unresectable pancreatic head cancer presented with obstructive jaundice. Imaging revealed a dilated common bile duct and an enlarged gallbladder with cystic wall thickening. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography was performed and a fully-covered self-expandable metal stent was placed in the bile duct, leading to resolution of jaundice. She presented with hematochezia 7 days later. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed a cystic artery pseudoaneurysm with extravasation of contrast into a blood-filled gallbladder. Hemostasis was achieved after emergent transcatheter arterial embolization. Rupture of cystic artery pseudoaneurysm should be raised as a differential diagnosis for hemobilia after self-expandable metal stent placement, particularly in cases accompanied by inflamed gallbladders.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Pancreaticoduodenal artery (PDA) aneurysms are extremely rare. The complicated clinical presentations and high incidence of rupture make it difficult to diagnose and treat. PDA pseudoaneurysms often rupture into the gastrointestinal tract and result in life-threatening gastrointestinal hemorrhage.CASE SUMMARY: A 69-year-old man was admitted to our hospital due to right upward abdominal pain. A computed tomography (CT) scan demonstrated acute cholecystitis and cholecystolithiasis. Percutaneous gallbladder drainage was performed subsequently. He was discharged after 3 d and readmitted to hospital for cholecystectomy as arranged 1 mo later. A repeat CT scan revealed an emerging enhancing mass between the pancreatic head and the descending duodenum. Then, he suffered hematochezia and hemorrhagic shock suddenly. Emergency percutaneous angiogram was performed and selective catheterization of the superior mesenteric artery demonstrated a pseudoaneurysm in the inferior PDA. Coil embolization was performed and his clinical condition improved quickly after embolization and blood transfusion. He underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy and was discharged from hospital after surgery under satisfactory conditions.CONCLUSION: PDA pseudoaneurysms are uncommon. Acute haemorrhage is a severe complication of pseudoaneurysm with high mortality which clinicians should pay attention to.

Abstract:Background: There has been little investigation of fatigue, a common symptom in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The aim of this study was to evaluate fatigue more comprehensively, considering relationships with psychological and biological factors simultaneously in a population‐based IBD community sample. Methods: Manitoba IBD Cohort Study participants (n = 318; 51% Crohn's disease [CD]) were assessed by survey, interview, and blood sample. Fatigue, sleep quality, daytime drowsiness, stress, psychological distress, and quality of life were measured with validated scales. Hemoglobin (Hg) and C‐reactive protein (CRP) levels were also obtained. Differences were tested across disease activity and disease subtype. Results: Elevated CRP was found for 23% of the sample and 12% were anemic; 46% had active disease. Overall, 72% of those with active and 30% with inactive disease reached clinical thresholds for fatigue (Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory; P < 0.001); 77% and 49% of those with active or inactive disease, respectively, experienced poor sleep (P < 0.001). There were few differences between those with CD and ulcerative colitis (UC) on the factors assessed, except for higher CRP levels in CD (mean 8.8 versus 5.3, P < 0.02). Multiple logistic regression analyses found that elevated fatigue was associated with active disease (odds ratio [OR] 4.2, 95% confidence interval [CI] 2.2–7.8), poor sleep quality (OR 4.0, 95% CI 1.9–8.6), and perceived stress (OR 4.2, 95% CI 2.2–8.1), but not with hours of sleep, Hg, or CRP. Conclusions: Fatigue and poor sleep are not only highly prevalent in active disease, but both are still significant concerns for many with inactive disease. Psychological factors are associated with fatigue in IBD in addition to disease and sleep considerations. (Inflamm Bowel Dis 2011;)
Rare complications of chronic cholangitis: Pseudoaneurysm of the hepatic artery causing serious gastrointestinal bleeding

Abstract:Gastrointestinal bleeding due to hemobilia is a rare condition but can be very serious, even life-threatening. The main causes of biliary bleeding are invasive procedures in treatment, trauma, or malignant diseases. Chronic obstruction of the biliary tract can cause inflammation, erosion, and leakage of adjacent vascular structures and lead to pseudoaneurysm or hemorrhage, but this is very rare. In this article, we present a clinical case of upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to a pseudoaneurysm of the hepatic artery believed to have formed due to chronic cholangitis. An 81-year-old female patient with a medical history of chronic cholangitis was admitted to the hospital with recurrent inflammation accompanied by progressive upper gastrointestinal bleeding, potentially life-threatening. Ultrasound images and blood tests confirmed that the patient had anemia and cholangitis caused by stones. Gastrointestinal endoscopy showed bleeding suspected to be from the biliary tract. Hepatobiliary computed tomography confirmed that the common hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm located at the upper end of the common bile duct had active bleeding.

Cholecystogastric fistula presenting with haematemesis: diagnosed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiography

Abstract:The case is reported of a 72-year-old woman suffering from morbid obesity, who presented with haematemesis while on anti-coagulant therapy. The source of the bleeding proved to be the gastric exit of a cholecystogastric fistula. Subsequent cholangitis was successfully treated by endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (ERC) and endoscopic sphincterotomy (ES) while simultaneously the extent of the fistula was established. Cholecystectomy and closure of the fistula was contraindicated because of her morbid obesity. She remained well for 6 months but then presented with a gallstone ileus while another stone was found to be escaping from the gastric fistula. Her morbid obesity resulted in surgical procrastination, which eventually proved fatal. This patient experienced both of the most common types of complication in cholecysto-enteral fistulation, cholangitis and gallstone ileus. Although cholecysto-enteral fistulas (CEF) are probably less common than several decades ago, they are now most likely to be diagnosed during ERC. Gastroenterologists therefore need to be aware of their potential to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of this surgical condition.
Revision Roux-en-y hepaticojejunostomy for a post-cholecystectomy complex vasculobiliary injury with complete proper hepatic artery occlusion: A case report and literature review

Abstract:Introduction: Complete proper hepatic arterial [PHA] occlusion due to accidental coil migration during embolization of cystic artery stump pseudoaneurysm resulting from a complex vasculobiliary injurie [CVBI] post laparoscopic cholecystectomy [LC] is an extremely rare complication with less than 15 cases reported. We present a case depicting our strategy to tackle this obstacle in management of CVBI and review the relevant literature. Presentation of case: A 35 year old lady presented on sixth postoperative day with an external biliary fistula following Roux-en-y hepaticojejunostomy [RYHJ] for biliary injury during LC. She developed a leaking cystic artery pseudoaneurysm, during angioembolisation of which, one coil accidentally migrated into left hepatic artery resulting in complete PHA occlusion. Fourteen months later, cholangiogram revealed a worsening RYHJ stricture despite repeated percutaneous balloon dilatations. Multiple collaterals had developed. Revision RYHJ was fashioned to the anterior wall of biliary confluence with an extension into left duct. Minimum hilar dissection ensured preservation of collateral supply to the biliary enteric anastomosis. Postoperative recovery was uneventful. The patient is doing well at 1 year follow up. Discussion: Definitive biliary enteric repair should be delayed till collateral circulation is established within the hilar plate, hepatoduodenal ligament and perihepatic/peribiliary collaterals to provide an adequate arterial blood supply to biliary confluence and extrahepatic portion of the bile duct. Conclusion: Assessment of hepatic arteries should be part of investigation of all complex biliary injuries. Delayed definitive biliary enteric repair ensures a well-perfused anastomosis. Minimum hilar dissection is the key to preserve biliary and hepatic neovasculature.

Abstract:Vascular, Ahead of Print. BackgroundPseudoaneurysm of the cystic artery is very rare. It usually presents with rupture and hemorrhagic shock, which may be life-threatening. Ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced tomography can be used for the diagnosis. The mainstay of treatment for this disease is cholecystectomy.ObjectiveHere we present an 86-year-old man with known diabetes and Alzheimer's disease whose pseudoaneurysm was treated with percutaneous thrombin injection and highlight the technical aspect of the procedure.MethodWith ultrasonography guidance, a 21-gauge Chiba needle was passed through the liver and advanced into the pseudoaneurysm sac. A controlled, slow injection of 0.5-cc thrombin into the sac was performed with instant occlusion. Doppler imaging performed immediately following the procedure revealed that the pseudoaneurysm was not filled.ConclusionPseudoaneurysm of the gallbladder is extremely rare, and its diagnosis is difficult. If the condition is not treated right away, it can quickly become life-threatening. The majority of the pseudoaneurysms have already ruptured, and the patients are clinically septic, making surgery dangerous. Also, the use of contrast media in these patients may increase the risk of nephropathy, which is not an issue with percutaneous injection. Due to the obvious risk of rupture and bleeding, we propose injecting pseudoaneurysms only if they have a visible wall.ResultPercutaneous injection of the gallbladder pseudoaneurysms can be an option when treating gallbladder pseudoaneurysms. More research on long-term success rates is required.
