Abstract:A purpose of our research is to provide a design of a pseudorandom number generator with the logistic map over integers. In the presented paper, we will discuss an influence of a control parameter on outputs generated by the logistic map. Additionally, this result will give a design guide about an interval of a bit extraction from values by the logistic map. Concretely, we will analyze experimentally a rate that two mapping values for different parameters differ from each other on the logistic map over integers, and will show theoretically a probability that the maps for different parameters output different values. Based on these results, we will obtain the number of iteration that for an initial value different mapped values appear in iterative mapping with different parameters.

Abstract:Background: Children's fear about dental treatment may lead to behaviour management problems for the dentist, which can be a barrier to the successful dental treatment of children. Sedation can be used to relieve anxiety and manage behaviour in children undergoing dental treatment. There is a need to determine from published research which agents, dosages and regimens are effective. This is the second update of the Cochrane Review first published in 2005 and previously updated in 2012. Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and relative efficacy of conscious sedation agents and dosages for behaviour management in paediatric dentistry. Search methods: Cochrane Oral Health's Information Specialist searched the following databases: Cochrane Oral Health's Trials Register (to 22 February 2018); the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL; 2018, Issue 1) in the Cochrane Library (searched 22 February 2018); MEDLINE Ovid (1946 to 22 February 2018); and Embase Ovid (1980 to 22 February 2018). The US National Institutes of Health Ongoing Trials Register (ClinicalTrials.gov) and the World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform were searched for ongoing trials. No restrictions were placed on the language or date of publication when searching the electronic databases. Selection criteria: Studies were selected if they met the following criteria: randomised controlled trials of conscious sedation comparing two or more drugs/techniques/placebo undertaken by the dentist or one of the dental team in children up to 16 years of age. We excluded cross-over trials. Data collection and analysis: Two review authors independently extracted, in duplicate, information regarding methods, participants, interventions, outcome measures and results. Where information in trial reports was unclear or incomplete authors of trials were contacted. Trials were assessed for risk of bias. Cochrane statistical guidelines were followed. Main results: We included 50 studies with a total of 3704 participants. Forty studies (81%) were at high risk of bias, nine (18%) were at unclear risk of bias, with just one assessed as at low risk of bias. There were 34 different sedatives used with or without inhalational nitrous oxide. Dosages, mode of administration and time of administration varied widely. Studies were grouped into placebo-controlled, dosage and head-to-head comparisons. Meta-analysis of the available data for the primary outcome (behaviour) was possible for studies investigating oral midazolam versus placebo only. There is moderate-certainty evidence from six small clinically heterogeneous studies at high or unclear risk of bias, that the use of oral midazolam in doses between 0.25 mg/kg to 1 mg/kg is associated with more co-operative behaviour compared to placebo; standardized mean difference (SMD) favoured midazolam (SMD 1.96, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.59 to 2.33, P < 0.0001, I2 = 90%; 6 studies; 202 participants). It was not possible to draw conclusions regarding the secondary outcomes due to inconsistent or inadequate reporting or both. Authors' conclusions: There is some moderate-certainty evidence that oral midazolam is an effective sedative agent for children undergoing dental treatment. There is a need for further well-designed and well-reported clinical trials to evaluate other potential sedation agents. Further recommendations for future research are described and it is suggested that future trials evaluate experimental regimens in comparison with oral midazolam or inhaled nitrous oxide.

Abstract:Changes in circulating hormones, such as leptin and ghrelin, induce alterations in synaptic input organization and electrophysiological properties of neurons of the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus. To assess whether changes in circulating glucocorticoids also alter synaptic arrangement and membrane potential properties, we studied the effect of adrenalectomy (ADX) and corticosterone replacement in mice on the proopiomelanocortin (POMC) and neuropeptide Y (NPY)/agouti-related protein (AgRP) neurons of the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus. ADX reduced the number of symmetric, putative inhibitory synapses onto POMC neurons and the number of asymmetric, putative excitatory synapses onto NPY/AgRP neurons. Corticosterone replacement in ADX mice to levels similar to sham-operated animals restored the number of synapses onto POMC and NPY/AgRP neurons to that seen in sham-operated controls. The alterations in the synaptic arrangement in ADX mice were not due to their decrease in food intake as evidenced by the synaptic analysis of the pair-fed control animals. In line with the altered synaptic input organization, a depolarization of POMC membrane potential and a hyperpolarization of NPY/AgRP membrane potential were observed in ADX mice compared with their sham-operated controls. All of these changes reverted upon corticosterone replacement. These results reveal that the known orexigenic action of corticosteroids is mediated, at least in part, by synaptic changes and altered excitability of the melanocortin system.
[Influence of the Effect of General Anaesthesia and Restraint During Dental Treatment on Dental Anxiety and Behavior in Children].

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To compare the level of dental anxiety and dental behavior between dental fear children with dental treatment under general anaesthesia (GA) and those under restraint. METHODS:The GA group included 31 dental fear children aged 4-6-year-old who received dental treatment under the GA. The restraint group included 31 dental fear children aged 4-6-year-old who received dental treatment under the restraint. Age, gender, parent's education level, decayed-missing-filled-tooth (dmft) and face version of the Modified Child Dental Anxiety Scale (MCDASf) score before treatment were matched between the two groups. The Chinese version of MCDASf was used to evaluate the level of dental anxiety in each child before treatment, right after treatment and before examination at recall visit 2-3 weeks after treatment. And the Chinese version of Venham Clinical Anxiety and Cooperative Behavior Scale was used to evaluate children's dental behavior in each child before treatment and before examination at recall visit 2-3 weeks after treatment. RESULTS:The average scores of MCDASf in GA group right after treatment and before recall were lower than that before treatment. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Furthermore, the average score of MCDASf before recall was lower than those after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The average scores of MCDASf in restraint group right after treatment and 2-3 weeks after treatment were higher than those before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Children's dental behavior was significantly improved at recall visit in both groups (P<0.01). CONCLUSION:Dental fear could be reduced by treatment under GA. The children's dental behavior was improved after GA. Restraint did not result in the significant elevation of dental anxiety level, but dental behavior was improved after restraint during the short-term recall.
Restorative and patient factors associated with repeat general anesthesia for dental treatments in young children: A case-control study

Abstract:Background: The aim of this study was to assess factors associated with higher odds of undergoing repeat general anesthesia (GA2) for dental treatments. Methods: The authors studied children up to age 48 months of age enrolled in Medicaid who underwent dental treatment under first general anesthesia (GA1). The authors used a case-control design to compare children who had a GA2 within 48 months of GA1 (case patients) with those who did not (control patients). Results: In total, 60 case patients were age and sex matched to 120 control patients. Mean (SD) age at GA1 was 38 (5.2) months for case participants and 40 (4.7) months for control participants (P = .08). Higher caries involvement of maxillary incisors (P = .04), and lower caries involvment of canines (P = .003), first molars (P = .012), and second molars (P < .001) at GA1 was associated with higher odds of occurrence of GA2. There was a significant inverse association between full-coverage restoration on canines (P = .003), first molars (P = .001), and second molars (P = .002) at GA1 and occurrence of GA2. There was a significant direct association between the use of composites or sealants on second molars in GA1 and occurrence of GA2 (P = .02). The number of extractions at GA1 was not associated significantly with the occurrence of GA2. Conclusions: The use of full-coverage restorations on primary molars and canines under general anesthesia (GA) was associated with lower odds of occurrence of GA2. Resin restorations and sealants on primary second molars were associated with higher odds of occurrence repeat GA. The findings support preferential use of full-coverage restorations for young children undergoing dental GA. Practical implications: Full-coverage restorations should be considered strongly for young children undergoing GA for dental treatments to reduce the risk of requiring GA2.

Abstract:Background There is currently insufficient evidence on potential predictors of a child's behaviour with nitrous oxide (N2O) sedation. Aim To examine the association between a child's temperament and behavioural outcomes during dental treatment with N2O sedation, and the child's perception to N2O sedation. Design At the first visit (dental treatment visit), temperament was assessed using the Child Behaviour Questionnaire—Short Form and behaviour was assessed by an independent rater using the Venham Behaviour Rating Scale. At the second visit, the child's experience with N2O sedation was elicited. Results Seventy‐two healthy children aged between 36 and 95 months were recruited. Planned dental treatment was completed in 84.7% of the subjects. Venham behaviour success <3 and Venham behaviour success <1 were achieved in 73.6% and 33.3%, respectively. The temperament domain of effortful control was associated with Venham behaviour score (ρ = −0.266, p = .024) and Venham behaviour success <1 (OR = 3.506, 95% CI = 1.328–9.259, p = .011). Baseline Frankl behaviour score was significantly associated with all behavioural outcomes. Venham behaviour success <3 was significantly associated with a child reporting to have enjoyed the dental treatment visit (p = .026). Conclusion Effortful control and baseline behaviour were associated with behavioural outcomes of N2O sedation and can be used to predict a child's behaviour.

Dental treatments under sedation-analgesia in patients who are unable to collaborate: a prospective observational study

Abstract:Background: Excessive fear of dental procedures leads to disruptive behavior during dental examinations and treatments. Dental examinations and treatments of these patients usually require additional techniques, such as sedation. The most commonly used techniques are inhalation of nitrous oxide, infusion of propofol with fentanyl, and premedication and infusion of midazolam. Methods: A prospective observational epidemiological study was conducted on patients who required sedoanalgesia techniques for dental exploration and procedures. The reasons for the inability of patients to cooperate (excessive fear or intellectual disability), age, sex, weight, systemic pathology, oral pathology, treatment performed, time of intervention, anesthetic technique performed, and occurrence of complications were recorded. Results: In total, 218 patients were studied. Sixty-five patients came for fear of dental treatment and 153 for presenting with a diagnosis of intellectual disability and not collaborating in the treatment with local anesthesia. The average age of all patients was 30.54 ± 17.30 years. The most frequent oral pathologies found in patients with excessive fear were tartar (6.8%) and wisdom teeth (6.4%), followed by missing teeth (5%). In patients with disabilities, a combination of tartar and cavities appeared most frequently (41.3%), followed by cavities (15.6%). The most frequently used sedoanalgesia technique was the infusion of propofol with fentanyl in both groups of patients, followed by nitrous oxide. Conclusion: The combination of propofol and fentanyl was the most frequently used alternative in patients who were unable to collaborate because of intellectual disability or carry out longer or more complex treatments. Inhaled nitrous oxide and midazolam were the sedative techniques of choice for simpler oral treatments, such as tartrectomies, shallow obturations, and shorter interventions, or in younger patients.

Abstract:To assess whether the treatment of children with oral midazolam and pediatric hypnosis techniques can improve the compliance in consecutive sessions, a retrospective longitudinal practice-based observational study was designed and carried out. A total of 311 children between 3 and 12 years of age were treated under hypnosis and sedation with midazolam (0.40 mg/kg body weight). Treatments were performed in one to a maximum of three sessions. A total of 183 children received one, 103 received two and 25 children received three treatment sessions. The behavior of the children during the sessions was examined by means of the Venham score. The self-evaluation of the children was based on the Wong–Baker Scale. Child behavior using midazolam and hypnosis techniques showed little difference and good compliance between the sessions. Venham scores did not increase significantly regarding total treatment from the first (0.99 ± 1.41) to the second (1.17 ± 1.39) and to the third session (1.27 ± 1.20) (p > 0.05). However, considering the highest Venham scores that occurred in each case, the behavior of the children worsened significantly (p < 0.01) during the three treatment sessions, from 1.37 ± 1.31 (first) to 1.87 ± 1.74 (second) to 2.32 ± 1.33 (third). In 6.11% of the children, treatment was discontinued in the first session (n = 19), 0.96% in the second (n = 3) and 0% in the third. Treatment with low-dose midazolam, combined with hypnosis techniques, showed to be an effective option for dental treatment in children. Within the limitations of the current study, and with consideration of highest possible compliance, no more than two treatment sessions for pediatric dental treatment should be performed.

Abstract:The effectiveness of amantadine hydrochloride as a prophylactic against influenza was studied during an epidemic caused by viruses related to influenza A2/Hong Kong/1968 variants in Leningrad, USSR, early in 1969. In all, 8169 subjects, assigned to amantadine-dosed, placebo-dosed, internal control and external control groups, were assessed. The index of effectiveness of the prophylactic medication, based on clinical diagnosis, in subjects who took amantadine regularly was 1.95. When the clinical diagnoses were confirmed serologically the index of effectiveness for the amantadine compared with the placebo group increased to 2.7. A comparison of the medicated group with the non-medicated, non-isolated internal control group showed an index of effectiveness of 5.34. A daily dose of 100 mg of amantadine was associated with an increase of 1.14% in complaints of sleep disturbances but these had no effect on the working capacity of subjects.
Triazolam for Pediatric Dental Sedation: A Retrospective Evaluation of Safety and Changes in Visit Behavior

Abstract:Purpose: To describe triazolam in pediatric dental mild to moderate sedation and report changes to overall visit behavior for permanent first molar extraction. Methods: This retrospective chart review from 2018 to 2022 analyzed demographic, procedural, and behavioral data for children eight years and older receiving triazolam for a permanent first molar extraction. The outcomes included adverse events measured by deviations in heart rate and oxygen saturation and changes to overall visit-level Frankl scores from the referral to sedation visit. Descriptive statistics and non-parametric statistical analyses were conducted. Results: The study population (n equals 82) was predominantly female (61 percent), English-speaking (85 percent), and White (41 percent) or Black (39 percent). The most common indication for mild to moderate sedation was dental anxiety (28 percent). There were zero instances of adverse events requiring emergency intervention or the use of reversal medication. The change in visit-level Frankl scores was significantly positive (P<0.001). Conclusion: Triazolam is likely a safe choice for mild to moderate sedation, leading to improved overall visit behavior in children undergoing a permanent first molar extraction.

Abstract:Background: Fear and anxiet are significant barriers of dental care in children. Sedation emerged as a valuable behaviour guidance technique to manage uncooperative children. Aim: To evaluate the sedative and behavioral effectiveness of midazolam administered via nebulizer in comparison with intranasal atomizer in the behavior management of anxious children during dental treatment. Study design: Two-arm randomized clinical trial with 68 children (3-5 years) assigned to receive nebulized midazolam (NEB MDZ) and atomized intranasal midazolam (AIN MDZ) during dental treatment. The onset time, sedation levels, and behavior of children were documented. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Mann-Whitney U tests. Results: Significant differences between the two groups in terms of onset time, sedation level, and behavior of children during the dental treatment. AIN MDZ was associated with a significantly faster onset time compared with NEB MD, (p < .001). Children who received NEB MDZ exhibited deeper levels of sedation compared with AIN MDZ group (p = .02). During the administration of local anesthesia, notable statistical differences were observed between the behavior of the two groups (p = .02). Conclusions: Midazolam administered via either nebulizer or intranasal atomizer was the effective route of administration and proved effective in the management of anxious children undergoing dental treatment. AIN MDZ, however, exhibited a faster onset time, whereas children receiving NEB MDZ demonstrated superior behavior compared with those receiving AIN MDZ.

Abstract:BACKGROUND Dysregulated expression of several KLK family members has been observed in colorectal adenocarcinoma. In the present study, the prognostic value of KLK11 mRNA expression as a molecular tissue biomarker in colorectal adenocarcinoma was examined. MATERIALS & METHODS Using quantitative real-time PCR, KLK11 mRNA expression was studied in 120 cancerous and 41 paired noncancerous colorectal specimens obtained from 120 patients with primary colorectal adenocarcinoma. RESULTS A significant upregulation of KLK11 transcripts in colorectal tumors was observed. KLK11 mRNA expression was associated with the depth of tumor invasion and the histological grade. Furthermore, KLK11 mRNA expression predicted poor disease-free and overall survival, independently of patient gender, age, tumor size, location, histological subtype, grade, venous invasion, lymphatic invasion, TNM stage, radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment. CONCLUSION KLK11 mRNA expression could be considered as a new molecular prognostic biomarker in colorectal adenocarcinoma, with additional prognostic value in patients with highly invasive tumors and/or positive lymph nodes.
Comparison of long-term dental treatment effects of children treated under general anesthesia and passive restraint

Abstract:Objective To compare the long-term dental treatment effects,oral health habits and oral-health-related qualities of life of children treated under general anesthesia (GA) and passive restraint (PR),respectively.Methods Twenty seven 2 to 4-year-old children treated under GA and thirty four children treated under PR were recruited in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry,Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology.Up to 2 years after the treatnent,a follow up assessment was conducted.The data of general information,dental plaque level and the unplanned treatments were recorded and analyzed.The questionnaire of oral health habits and early childhood oral health impact scale (ECOHIS) for each child was also completed and analyzed.The survival rate and median survival time of the deciduous teeth were calculated.Multivariate analysis was performed by using Cox proportional hazard model.Results Twenty-five children under GA and 32 under PR were finally included,with a total of 1 098 deciduous teeth.The postoperative dental plaque indicesin both GA and PR groups had significantly improved than that of before the treatments (P=0.019,P＜0.001).The oral health habits had also improved,and the improvement in PR group was more obvious than that in GA group.Totally 128 teeth (27.0％) appeared unplanned treatments in GA group and 232 teeth (37.2％) in PR group during the follow-ups.The new caries and recurrent caries in PR group were significantly more than that in GA group (P＜0.001,P=0.012).No significant differences were found between the two groups in restoration failure,secondary caries and endodontic diseases (P=0.129,P=0.822,P=0.642).However,the time of occurrence of endodontic disease and secondary caries in GA group were significantly longer than that in PR group (P＜0.01,P＜0.001).The median survival time of teeth in GA group was 1 018 days comparing to 944 days in PR group.The difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The survival rate was associated with such factors as decayed-missing-filled tooth (dmft),anterior or posterior teeth,feeding frequency,brushing habits and behavior management techniques.Conclusions The long-term dental treatment effects of children treated under GA was significantly better than that of PR group.Continuous reinforcement of proper dietary and oral hygiene habits might help in maintaining the long-term treatment effect.
Effectiveness of different behavior guidance techniques in managing children with negative behavior in a dental setting: A randomized control study

Abstract:Background: Dental fear is a common cause of uncooperative behavior among young children, which poses a challenge in providing effective dental treatment. With the advancements in technology, several behavior guidance techniques in the form of distraction have emerged over time for managing uncooperative pediatric dental patients. Aim: The aim of this study is to compare and evaluate the effectiveness of four different behavior guidance techniques in managing uncooperative pediatric patients by measuring pre- and post-operative dental fear/anxiety levels using physiological and nonphysiological parameters. Methodology: Sixty systemically healthy children aged 5-8 years with negative behavior as per Frankl's Rating Scale, requiring restoration were included in the study and randomly divided into four equal groups (n = 15), based on the guidance techniques used: Tell-Show-Do (TSD) as a control group and audio distraction, audiovisual distraction (AVD) (virtual reality [VR]) and Mobile Phone Game Distraction as test groups. Pre- and post-intervention levels of the child's fear/anxiety were assessed using both physiological (blood pressure and pulse rate) and nonphysiological (facial image scale) parameters. The data were evaluated using t-test and one-way ANOVA test. Results: A statistically significant difference was observed in both physiological and non-physiological parameters post-intervention in the groups with a maximum decrease in the AVD (VR) group. Conclusions: AVD (VR) was found to be the most effective while TSD alone as the least effective behavior guidance technique in reducing dental fear/anxiety in uncooperative pediatric dental patients.

Abstract:Background: For children who are unable to cooperate due to severe dental anxiety (DA), dental treatment of childhood caries under Dental General Anesthesia (DGA) is a safe and high-quality treatment method. This study aims to evaluate the impact on neurocognitive functions and the growth and development of children 2 years after dental procedure based on previous research, and further establish a causal relationship between general anesthesia (GA) and changes in children's neurocognitive functions by incorporating Mendelian Randomization (MR) analysis. Methods: Data were collected and analyzed from 340 cases of S-ECC procedures of preschool children conducted in 2019. This involved comparing the neurocognitive outcomes 2 years post-operation of preschool children receiving dental procedures under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. Physical development indicators such as height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) of children were also compared at baseline, half a year post-operation, and 2 years post-operation. We performed a Mendelian randomization analysis on the causal relationship between children's cognitive development and general anesthesia, drawing on a large-scale meta-analysis of GWAS for anesthesia, including multiple general anesthesia datasets. Results: Outcome data were obtained for 111 children in the general anesthesia group and 121 children in the local anesthesia group. The mean FSIQ score for the general anesthesia group was 106.77 (SD 6.96), while the mean score for the local anesthesia group was 106.36 (SD 5.88). FSIQ scores were equivalent between the two groups. The incidence of malnutrition in children in the general anesthesia group was 27.93% ( p < 0.001) before surgery and decreased to 15.32% ( p > 0.05) after 2 years, which was not different from the general population. The IVW method suggested that the causal estimate ( p = 0.99 > 0.05, OR = 1.04, 95% CI = 5.98 × 10 −4 –1.82 × 10 3 ) was not statistically significant for disease prevalence. This indicates no genetic cause-and-effect relationship between anesthesia and childhood intelligence. Conclusion: There were no adverse outcomes in neurocognitive development in 2 years after severe early childhood caries (S-ECC) procedure under total sevoflurane-inhalation in preschool children. The malnutrition condition in children can be improved after S-ECC procedure under general anesthesia. Limited MR evidence does not support a correlation between genetic susceptibility to anesthesia and an increased risk for intelligence in children.

Do Preventive Programs Reduce the Need for New Sedations for the Treatment of Oral Pathologies in Healthy and Special Health Care Needs Children?

Abstract:Background: The goal is to analyze the need for reinterventions under deep sedation to treat oral pathologies in a population of children with special health care needs (SHCNs) and healthy children who followed a prevention program and to study the influence of parental motivation and child collaboration on the need for reinterventions under deep sedation. Methods: A retrospective study was carried out in a private clinic in Cartagena (Murcia, Spain), with patients treated under deep sedation from 2006 to 2018, both years included, following the Strobe statement. Results: In this study with 230 children who were treated under deep sedation, 23.92% underwent two or more sedations. The mean time elapsed between the first and the second sedations was 21.64 ± 15.87 months, and the main cause for reinterventions was the occurrence of new pathologies. Significantly more pulp treatments were performed in the first sedation than in the second (p = 0.013) and in the third (p = 0.007). Healthy children required fewer reinterventions under deep sedation than children with special needs (6.42% vs. 39.67%). Similarly, patients who followed the preventive program and required some type of dental treatment were reoperated fewer times than those who did not follow the preventive program (35.8 vs. 50%); than "cooperative" children as opposed to "non-cooperative" (12.12% vs. 60.93%) and than patients with "motivated" parents as opposed to those with "non-motivated" parents (20.83% vs. 46.34%). A total of 50% of the children who participated in the preventive program became "cooperative", and 100% were able to receive some treatment in the dental chair. Conclusions: Prevention programs, including motivational interviewing, are essential to improve children's behavior in the dental chair and reduce the need for reinterventions under general anesthesia or deep sedation. Although patients with special needs do require more sedation during their lifetime due to their inability to cooperate, these programs are necessary for the maintenance of oral health status and for the early diagnosis of caries lesions. Pediatric dentists should implement a quarterly preventive program because it improves patient collaboration. It is essential to achieve the motivation of parents in the oral care of their children.

Abstract:Insulin release from pancreatic β-cells plays an essential role in blood glucose homeostasis. Several proteins controlling insulin exocytosis have been identified, but the factors determining the expression of the components of the secretory machinery of β-cells remain largely unknown. MicroRNAs are newly discovered small non-coding RNAs acting as repressors of gene expression. We found that overexpression of mir-9 in insulin-secreting cells causes a reduction in exocytosis elicited by glucose or potassium. We show that mir-9 acts by diminishing the expression of the transcription factor Onecut-2 and, in turn, by increasing the level of Granuphilin/Slp4, a Rab GTPase effector associated with β-cell secretory granules that exerts a negative control on insulin release. Indeed, electrophoretic mobility shift assays, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and transfection experiments demonstrated that Onecut-2 is able to bind to the granuphilin promoter and to repress its transcriptional activity. Moreover, we show that silencing of Onecut-2 by RNA interference increases Granuphilin expression and mimics the effect of mir-9 on stimulus-induced exocytosis. Our data provide evidence that in insulin-producing cells adequate levels of mir-9 are mandatory for maintaining appropriate Granuphilin levels and optimal secretory capacity.
