Abstract:Abstract Background Previous studies did not comprehensively examine the effect of adenotonsillectomy on growth and development, emotional state, quality of life, attention ability, and cognitive dysfunction in children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This study aimed to explore the improvement effects of adenotonsillectomy on the growth, development, quality of life, and attention ability in children with OSA. Methods This prospective single-arm study involved children with OSA admitted at The No. 980 Hospital, Joint Logistics Support Force, PLA, China (02/2017–02/2018). The Myklebust Pupil Rating Scale (PRS), Inventory of Subjective Life Quality (ISLQ), Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire (PSQ), and Continuous Performance Task (CPT) were examined before and at 6 months after adenotonsillectomy. Results Forty-nine patients were enrolled. They all completed the 6-month follow-up. The body mass index increased after surgery (from 18.8 ± 4.9 to 19.3 ± 4.3 kg/m 2 , P = 0.008). The total PRS score increased 6 months after surgery (from 73.8 ± 12.7 to 84.6 ± 10.3, P < 0.001). All aspects of the ISLQ, except anxiety experience and physical emotion, were improved at 6 months after adenotonsillectomy (all P < 0.01). The SAS score also decreased from 20.1 ± 10.0 to 12.8 ± 6.6 ( P < 0.001). All six dimensions of the PSQ, as assessed by the legal guardians, decreased after adenotonsillectomy (all P < 0.01). The proportions of children with auditory and/or visual sustained attention abnormalities decreased after surgery. Conclusions After adenotonsillectomy, the PRS, ISLQ, and PSQ improved, and anxiety and auditory/visual sustained attention abnormalities decreased, suggesting positive impacts on the growth, development, quality of life, and comprehensive cognitive abilities of children with OSA.

Abstract:The objective of this study was to quantify behavioral and attention capacity changes in children aged 4–11 y before and 3 mo after adenotonsillectomy (A/T). Overnight cardiorespiratory recordings were performed in 61 “behaviorally normal” children 1 wk before A/T. Tests of sustained attention using visual and auditory continuous performance tests (CPT) were completed by children 1 wk before and 3 mo after A/T. Behavioral Assessment Scales for Children (BASC) and a sleep questionnaire were completed by the parent/s at these same times. Results from overnight cardiorespiratory recordings showed that the children had mild sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBD) preoperatively with a mean apnea/hypopnea index of 3.0/h and a movement awakening index of 2.5/h. The majority had parent-perceived sleep and breathing difficulties that significantly improved post-A/T. BASC T scores for externalizing and internalizing behaviors improved post-A/T, e.g., behavioral symptom index mean pre-A/T was 56.2 (95% confidence interval, 52.8–59.6) compared with 50.9 (48.5–53.5) post-A/T. Some measures indicative of impulsivity and attentiveness obtained from the visual CPT before surgery, improved post-A/T, but no change was observed in any auditory CPT measures. Our data confirm improvements in subjective measures of sleep problems in children treated for SRBD and strengthen the notion of treating the disorder, not only related to the obvious clinical condition but also to the underlying sleep problems and adverse effects on daytime behavior and attention.

Evaluating the effectiveness of D-chains in SAT-based ATPG

Abstract:With the ever increasing size of today's Very-Large-Scale-Integration (VLSI) designs new approaches for test pattern generation become more and more popular. One of the best known methods is SAT-based automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) which, in contrast to classical structural ATPG, first generates a mathematical representation of the problem in form of a Boolean formula. A specialized solver evaluates this representation to determine the testability of faults and extracts a test pattern in case a satisfying assignment was found. In order to increase the solving speed [1] introduced the concept of D-chains which add additional information to the mathematical model. In return, this forces the solver to only consider assignments that might lead to a valid test pattern and thus reduce the search space. With the advent of incremental solving new concepts like the backward D-chain or even more recently an indirect D-chain were introduced. However, none of the previous publications tried to analyze and evaluate which of these methods is the most beneficial. In this paper we present a thorough investigation of the different D-chain concepts to evaluate which is the best method for different problems. In addition, we propose a new indirect D-chain algorithm with two extensions. Our experimental results show that depending on the incorporated D-chain the runtime can be reduced tremendously.

Abstract:Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) is naturally outcrossing; therefore, maintenance of genotype is difficult through sexual propagation. The objective of this study was to develop a micropropagation procedure for the multiplication of desired or selected genotypes. Nodal segments were surface sterilized, split longitudinally, and placed with the cut surface on solid MS medium containing 30 g L-1 maltose and different concentrations of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) as the only growth regulator. Best shoot proliferation was obtained with 12.5 micromoles BAP and culture at 29 degrees C. Shoots were easily rooted on MS medium without BAP. Under optimum conditions, it is possible to produce approximately 500 plantlets from one parent plant in 12 wk.
Parent satisfaction 1 year after adenotonsillectomy of their children

Abstract:Background: Tonsillectomy is one of the most frequent as well as one of the most controversial operations performed in childhood. Objective: To assess the expectations of parents before tonsillectomy and to assess their satisfaction 1 year after surgery. Study design: 664 children undergoing (adeno-)tonsillectomy were enrolled in a nation-wide prospective multicenter study. The child's medical history, clinical findings, and indication for tonsillectomy were recorded by the physicians at the time of surgery. The parents were asked to fill out a questionnaire and to list all symptoms from which they expected relief at the time of surgery and to assess the subjective benefit of the surgery 1 year post-operatively. Five-hundred and seventy six of the 664 patients' parents (87%) returned the follow-up questionnaire. Results: 88% of the (adeno-)tonsillectomies were performed because of documented recurrent febrile tonsillitis or obstructive symptoms such as sleep apnea or snoring with restless sleep and daytime irritability. The number of episodes of febrile sore throat dropped from a mean of 6.7 in the year prior to surgery to a mean of 1.5 in the year after surgery (P<0.001). Obstructive symptoms disappeared in 80% of cases, 524 parents (91%) were satisfied with the benefit, 159 parents (28%) regretted not having arranged to have surgery performed earlier. Conclusion: Our study shows that parents assess the outcome of tonsillectomy not with regard to one main symptom (e.g. recurrent sore throat) but with regard to a number of complaints. It also shows a high rate (91%) of parent satisfaction after tonsillectomy. For the indications studied, tonsillectomy remains the treatment of choice and should not be delayed or even denied to those children.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy can treat children with obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). OBJECTIVE: This study investigated the effects of tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy on cognitive function and brain structure in children with OSAHS. METHODS: This study included 40 obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome children and 40 healthy children. The cognitive function and brain structure changes of OSAHS children before and after surgery and 40 healthy children were evaluated by the Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Rating Scale (SNAP-IV) and the Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA-CPT), as well as brain resting-state fMRI functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). RESULTS: Children with OSAHS showed higher Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Rating Scale and lower Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test scores than healthy peers, indicating cognitive impairment. Post-surgery, there was a significant improvement in cognitive function, evidenced by decreased Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Rating Scale and increased Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test scores. Compared to healthy children, OSAHS children displayed altered ReHo values in certain brain regions, such as decreased values in the right angular gyrus, right precuneus, left parahippocampal gyrus, and left middle frontal gyrus, but increased values in the right posterior cerebellum. After surgery, ReHo values increased in regions like the right precuneus, right temporal lobe, right posterior cingulate gyrus, and left limbic lobe, suggesting neurological changes associated with treatment. CONCLUSIONS: Children with obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome had cognitive impairment and abnormal changes in multiple brain regions. Tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy could improve cognitive function and contribute to the reconstruction of brain function and structure in children with obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome.

Abstract:In situ element-specific observation of electronic states of organic films beneath metal electrodes is achieved by x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) in the bulk-sensitive fluorescence-yield (FY) mode. The molecular orientation in Au-covered oligo-thiophene films is confirmed by the C K-edge FY-XAS spectra and the applied bias dependence of the spectra is successfully detected for the first time. The present method can give deeper insights into the electronic-state investigation of various real-device systems under operational conditions.
[Influence of litter moisture around drinkers and feeders on foot pad health status of fattening turkeys during the early rearing period].

Abstract:The present study demonstrates the influence of increased litter moisture (LM) around drinkers and feeders on the foot pad health status of fattening turkeys during the rearing period. Therefore 154 day-old British United Turkeys (B.U.T.) 6 turkey poults (77 males, 77 females) were kept on softwood shavings with different moisture contents for a time period of 29 days. Separated by gender the poults were randomly allotted to two test groups and one control group. Birds in test groups were kept on defined litter moisture contents of 30% or 50% around drinkers and feeders. Additionally, birds of each group had access to an area which was maintained as dry as possible (LM around 10%). Birds in control groups were completely kept on dry litter (LM 10 %). Foot pads of all birds were examined according to the external scoring system of Mayne et al. (2007a). Cross-sex comparisons showed a significant difference of prevalence and severity of foot pad dermatitis between turkeys of the test groups and those of the control groups. At the end of this experiment female turkeys had no higher severity of foot pad dermatitis than male turkeys.Thus, the present results indicate that already areas of wet litter within a dry stable may lead to an increase of the prevalence and severity of foot pad dermatitis during the early rearing period.

Clinical Impact of Preoperative Tonsil and Adenoid Size on Symptomatic Outcomes Following Adenotonsillectomy in Pediatric Patients

Abstract:Background Adenotonsillar hypertrophy is a common clinical problem in pediatric patients. Adenotonsillectomy is a surgical intervention to remove airway obstruction and alleviate symptoms. However, some children continue to experience persistent symptoms after surgery. Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between preoperative tonsils and adenoid size and the persistence of symptoms, including snoring, mouth breathing, noisy breathing, and sleep apnea, after adenotonsillectomy in pediatric patients. Method This study was conducted in Taif, Saudi Arabia, and included 109 pediatric patients aged three to 14 years who underwent adenotonsillectomy. Data on preoperative and postoperative symptoms were collected through patient records and follow-up surveys. Tonsil and adenoid size were assessed using the Brodsky scale and endoscopic grading scales, respectively. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS Version 26 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY). Results The most prevalent presenting symptoms were snoring, mouth breathing, and noisy breathing. Tonsil size grades 3+ and 4+ were significantly more prevalent than the other grades (p<0.05). Adenoid size grades 3 and 4 were also significantly more prevalent than the other grades (p<0.05). Significant associations were observed between tonsil and adenoid size grades and specific presenting symptoms, such as snoring, mouth breathing, and noisy breathing. No significant correlations were found between preoperative tonsil or adenoid size and postoperative persistent symptoms. Conclusion While tonsil and adenoid size are essential factors in determining the need for surgery, they may not predict postoperative resolution of symptoms. A comprehensive evaluation of various clinical factors is necessary to understand the persistence of symptoms after surgery. Although adenotonsillectomy is an effective treatment for upper airway obstruction in pediatric patients, some individuals may experience residual symptoms.

Effectiveness of Adenoidectomy as a Standalone Procedure in Improving the Quality of Life of Children with Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Abstract:Adenoid hypertrophy (AH) and its sequel like nasal obstruction, obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), recurrent rhinitis and middle ear disorders are common diseases of pediatric age group, forming the major bulk of pediatric outpatient visits. The recommended approach to treating OSA in children is through adenotonsillectomy. Adenoidectomy is the surgical procedure of removal of hypertrophied adenoid tissues, which is the most common surgery performed by Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeons. Given that adenoidectomy alone might lead to reduced instances of adverse outcomes, decreased risk of complications, and lower expenses, our objective was to explore the viability and suitability of adenoidectomy as a standalone treatment for pediatric OSA and to learn the significant effect of adenoidectomy on the quality of life (QOL) of children. Multicentric prospective study conducted in Department of ENT, Head and Neck Oncosurgery, Smita Memorial Hospital, Thodupuzha & Department of ENT, Head and Neck surgery, MCS Hospital, Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India from June 2022 to June 2023. Children between the age group of 5-10 years, who underwent adenoidectomy during the study period, satisfying the inclusion criteria were subjected for the study. Adenoidectomy was done for them using endoscope assisted coblation technique. Postoperative improvement in symptoms and change in quality of life were analyzed using obstructive sleep disorders-6 (OSD-6) questionnaire at the end of 3 months follow up. The surgeon observed a statistically significant improvement in all domains of OSD-6; and there by improvement in QOL in all patients, who underwent adenoidectomy in a course of three months. Adenoid hypertrophy is the most common cause of nasal obstruction in pediatric population and is creating a significant negative impact on the quality of life of children. Adenoidectomy is a safe and simple procedure which can provide significant improvement in quality of life of kids. Adenoidectomy in isolation could be a valid and recommended surgical choice for selected population of children displaying symptoms of pediatric OSA.

Abstract:Adenotonsillectomy is the mainstay of treatment for pediatric obstructive sleep apnea. This study evaluates whether adenotonsillectomy affects the levels of pro‐inflammatory, hormonal, and cardiometabolic markers in children. Adenotonsillectomy was associated with improvements in serum biomarkers. Objective To assess whether adenotonsillectomy improves levels of inflammatory and cardiometabolic markers in children with polysomnographically diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Data Sources Two authors independently searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases up to August 16, 2022, for studies relating to pre‐ and post‐operative levels of serum markers in pediatric patients undergoing adenotonsillectomy. Review Methods Data were extracted from included articles into a structured proforma. Meta‐analyses of the standardized mean difference (SMD) were conducted in random‐effects models. We calculated the probability of benefit (POB) and number needed to treat (NNT) for outcomes that demonstrated a statistically significant effect after adenotonsillectomy. The primary outcomes were changes in serum markers including C‐reactive protein (CRP), high‐sensitivity CRP (hs‐CRP), Insulin‐like growth factor 1 (IGF‐1), interleukin‐10 (IL‐10), interleukin‐6 (IL‐6), tumor necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐α), Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), insulin, glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low‐density lipoprotein (LDL), high‐density lipoprotein (HDL). Results We screened 1616 studies and included 26 studies with 1331 participants. Meta‐analysis was performed on 20 of the included studies. Adenotonsillectomy was associated with a significant decrease in insulin levels (SMD = −0.322, 95% Confidence Interval (CI) = −0.583 to −0.061), CRP (SMD = −0.946, 95% CI = −1.578 to −0.314), and BNP (SMD = −1.416, 95% CI = −2.355 to −0.477) and significant increase in levels of IGF‐1 (SMD = 0.691, 95% CI = 0.207 to 1.176). There were no significant changes in levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol, TNF‐α, LDL, HDL, glucose, IL‐10, and IL‐6. Conclusion In children with polysomnographically diagnosed OSA, adenotonsillectomy was associated with improvements in serum biomarkers, comprising lower CRP, insulin, and BNP, and higher IGF‐1. Oral Health Status and Salivary Properties among Children before and after Tonsillectomy

Abstract:Objectives: Enlarged adenoids can lead to obstruction of the nasopharyngeal airway and subsequent oral respiration. Oral breathing can cause dry mouth, dehydration in gingival tissue, and resistance to plaque accumulation. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of tonsillectomy on oral health status, salivary pH and flow rate, and common complications caused by tonsillar hypertrophy in children. Materials and Methods: An analytical before-and-after study was conducted on 60 children aged 5-12 years who required tonsillectomy. We gathered data through a questionnaire and collected unstimulated saliva using the spitting method for five minutes. Salivary pH was measured by a pH meter and its volume was determined with a calibrated test tube. The plaque index, bleeding index and modified gingival index were determined using a disclosing tablet, Williams' probe and observational examination, respectively. All measurements were repeated one month after tonsillectomy. Paired t-test was used for data analysis. Results: We found a significant increase in mean pH and salivary flow rate after tonsillectomy and observed a decrease in oral health indices among the children one month after surgery. Over half of the children who reported complications such as dry mouth, itchy nose and throat, snoring, night sweats, and sleep disturbances experienced complete recovery after tonsillectomy. Conclusion: Based on the results obtained in the present study, children with enlarged adenoids showed significant improvements in salivary pH, salivary flow rate, and oral health indices, one month after tonsillectomy.
Obstructive sleep apnea in 2-6 year old children referred for adenotonsillectomy

Abstract:Purpose: Adenotonsillectomy is one of the most common surgical procedures performed in children. The indications for surgery are either frequent recurrent throat infections or hypertrophy of the tonsils/adenoid vegetation, which can cause obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). There is disagreement regarding the need for sleep studies before adenotonsillectomy to confirm a diagnosis of OSA. Several studies have evaluated questionnaires and physical examination as tools to identify OSA, with conflicting results. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of OSA among children referred for adenotonsillectomy and whether questionnaires or physical examination can help identify OSA. Methods: This is a prospective cohort study of children aged 2-6 years, referred for adenotonsillectomy. Polysomnography and an otorhinological examination were performed. Tonsillar size and the oral cavity were graded using Friedman's classification and Mallampati score, respectively. The Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) and OSA-18 were also completed. Results: 100 children were included. The prevalence of OSA was 87%, with 52% having moderate to severe OSA. The usefulness of the PSQ and OSA-18 for detecting OSA was evaluated using multiple cutoff points, but none yielded acceptable values for both sensitivity and specificity. In logistic regression analyses predicting different levels of OSA severity, age, Friedman tonsillar size and Mallampati score were weakly associated with OSA. Conclusions: The prevalence of OSA is high among children referred for adenotonsillectomy and questionnaires and clinical characteristics are not sensitive enough to detect the presence or severity of OSA.
Impact of adenotonsillectomy on the dentofacial development of obstructed children: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Abstract:Background: Dentofacial deformities frequently require orthodontic treatment. Understanding of preventable risk factors is essential for reducing treatment need. Upper airway obstruction (for example due to hypertrophic adenoids and/or tonsils) has been hypothesized to be a risk factor. Objectives: This systematic review aimed to reflect the contemporary evidence on the risk of obstruction by hypertrophic adenoids and/or tonsils, by assessing the dentofacial changes after adeno- and/or tonsillectomy. Search methods: A systematic search of electronic databases and manual searches of grey literature and reference lists of relevant studies was performed. Selection criteria: No restrictions were placed on publication language. Experimental, cohort, and case-control studies were eligible for inclusion. Studies reporting associations between treatment of adenoid and/or tonsil hypertrophy and dentofacial deformities in children were included. Adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy were performed in all patients; outcomes were assessed before and after surgery. Data collection and analysis: Data were extracted by two independent reviewers in duplicate. The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the methodological quality of the included papers. Results: The initial search yielded 1196 papers, of which 16 articles could be included. All papers described controlled prospective cohort studies, reporting on a total of 461 patients and controls (mean age, 4.1-13.9 years). A descriptive and quantitative synthesis of dentofacial change postoperatively is presented. Consistent findings across studies were the normalisation towards labial inclination of the upper and lower incisors and towards a more horizontal mandibular growth pattern. No change in vertical or sagittal maxillary growth was reported after surgical treatment. Post-surgical increase in maxillary archwidth and decrease in lateral crossbite-frequency were consistently reported. Findings on overjet, overbite and angle from S to N to B (SNB-angle), mandibular arch width, and gonial angle were inconsistent. Conclusion: The available literature suggests that treatment of hypertrophic adenoids and/or tonsils affects dentofacial deformity. This could indicate a relationship between nasopharyngeal obstruction (i.e. upper airway obstruction) and the dentofacial growth pattern. However, the high risk of bias and considerable diversity between studies impedes a clear conclusion regarding this effect. Registration: None.

Abstract:Monomeric Azami-Green (mAG) from the stony coral Galaxea fascicularis is the first monomeric green-emitting fluorescent protein that is not a derivative of Aequorea victoria green fluorescent protein (avGFP). mAG and avGFP are 27% identical in amino-acid sequence. Diffraction-quality crystals of recombinant mAG were obtained by the sitting-drop vapour-diffusion method using PEG 3350 as the precipitant. The mAG crystal diffracted X-rays to 2.20 A resolution on beamline AR-NW12A at the Photon Factory (Tsukuba, Japan). The crystal belonged to space group P1, with unit-cell parameters a = 41.78, b = 51.72, c = 52.89 A, alpha = 90.96, beta = 103.41, gamma = 101.79 degrees. The Matthews coefficient (V(M) = 2.10 A(3) Da(-1)) indicated that the crystal contained two mAG molecules per asymmetric unit.
Investigating factors influencing post-operative growth in pre-pubertal children after adenotonsillectomy

Abstract:PurposeTo check the change in growth-for-age after adenotonsillectomy in pre-pubertal children and investigate the affecting factors.MethodsTwo hundred and six pediatric patients who underwent adenotonsillectomy by a single surgeon between January 2011 and December 2014 were included for the retrospective cohort study. The z-scores of height-, weight-, and body mass index (BMI)-for-age were measured before adenotonsillectomy and 1 year after the operation. The Korean version of the obstructive sleep apnea-18 questionnaire (OSA-18), symptom questionnaire, physical examinations, demographic data, and pre-operative z-scores were used to analyze the factors affecting z-score change.ResultsAmong 206 pediatric patients, 167 patients were normal growth; 19 were undergrowth; and 20 were obese. After the operation, height, weight, and BMI z-scores all increased both in 167 normal-growth patients and 19 undergrowth patients (p value < 0.05). However, in 20 obese patients, only height z-score significantly increased (p value = 0.028). The multiple regression test showed that the sleep disturbance domain of OSA-18 was positively correlated with height z-score change (p value = 0.041), and age was negatively correlated with weight z-score change (p value = 0.016). Pre-operative BMI z-score was negatively correlated (p value = 0.019) and adenoid grade was positively correlated (p value = 0.023) with BMI z-score change.ConclusionsThese findings suggest that adenotonsillectomy may positively affect growth in pre-pubertal children, without undesirable weight gain. Additionally, the sleep disturbance domain of OSA-18 may play a role in predicting post-operative height increase in pre-pubertal children.

Growth and growth biomarker changes after adenotonsillectomy: systematic review and meta-analysis

Abstract:Objective: To determine the effect of adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy ("adenotonsillectomy") upon growth and growth biomarkers, in the context of sleep disordered breathing (SDB). SDB in children, primarily due to adenotonsillar hypertrophy, increases the risk of growth failure. Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis. PubMed, ERIC and Cochrane Reviews databases from January 1980 to November 2007 were searched for studies reporting: pre/post-adenotonsillectomy height and weight changes as percentage increased or decreased, raw data, z scores or centiles, or: IGF-1 and/or IGFBP-3 serum-level changes as z scores or raw data. For anthropometrics, the meta-analysis included studies presenting z scores or centiles. Setting: Observational studies. Patients: Otherwise healthy children, not selected for obesity. Main outcome measures: Pre/post-surgery changes in standardised height and weight, and IGF-1 and IGFBP-3. Results: Of 211 citations identified, 20 met systematic review criteria. SDB was an enrolment criterion in 13 of the studies, and one of several enrolment criteria in three. Meta-analysis findings for pre/post-surgery changes were: standardised height: 10 studies, 363 total children, pooled standardised mean differences (SMD) = 0.34 (95% CI 0.20 to 0.47); standardised weight: 11 studies, 390 total children, pooled SMD = 0.57 (95% CI 0.44 to 0.70); IGF-1: 7 studies, 177 total children, pooled SMD = 0.53 (95% CI 0.33 to 0.73); IGFBP-3: 7 studies, 177 total children, pooled SMD = 0.59 (95% CI 0.34 to 0.83). Conclusions: Standardised height and weight, and IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 increased significantly after adenotonsillectomy. Findings suggest that primary care providers and specialists consider SDB secondary to adenotonsillar hypertrophy when screening, treating and referring children with growth failure.
