Abstract:With the dramatic development of electronic and radar detection technologies, electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbing and shielding materials with superior microwave absorption (MWA) performance, light weight and wide bandwidth are widely concerned. Herein, novel Ti3C2Tx/Co-MOF derived TiO2/Co/C composite architectures with rutile-TiO2 decorated carbon flakes originated from Ti3C2Tx and Co/C composites with wrapped Co in the tips of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are fabricated by in-situ solvothermal growth and pyrolysis. The multi-component synergistic effect and appropriate combination with adjustable amount of Ti3C2Tx loading and Co-MOF size optimize the impedance matching and exhibit satisfactory broadband EM wave absorption. The nanocomposites achieve effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 5.48 GHz at only 1.7 mm, and the minimum reflection loss (RLmin ) value of −50.45 dB at 7.32 GHz with a 3.0 mm thickness. The outstanding broadband MWA properties cover nearly the whole frequency bands of C, X, and Ku with the corresponding RL min values almost below −30 dB. This work highlights a promising strategy to design and synthesize various MOF-derived carbon composites with excellent MWA capacities.

Abstract:Nowadays, constructing electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing materials with high absorption strength and wide response frequency is an urgent demand and also a challenge. In this work, the bimetallic organic precursors of cobalt/iron nitrilotriacetic acid chelate nanowires (Co/Fe-NTAC) were prepared by one-step hydrothermal self-polymerization strategy. Then, the Co x Fe y @C nanocomposite fibers with different Co/Fe atomic ratios were synthesized by directly calcining the Co/Fe-NTAC precursors. Notably, when the atomic ratio of Co/Fe is 1:1, the sample exhibits high-efficient microwave absorption performance with the minimum reflection loss (RL) of −117.8 dB, whose effective absorption bandwidth (EAB, RL ≤ −10 dB) reaches up to 12.6 GHz (5.4–18 GHz) at the same thickness. The outstanding EMW attenuation properties are attributed to the strong magnetic loss, multiple heterogeneous interface polarizations, synergistic effects between magnetic cores and dielectric shells, as well as optimal impedance matching. Especially, the heterointerfaces polarization behavior and ferromagnetic coupling effect were verified by High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). The Radar Cross-Sectional (RCS) values of the optimized sample are all lower than −10 dBm 2 in the range of −60° < θ < 60°, which can achieve almost full-angle coverage in the practical environment. This work provides inspiration and strategy for the facile construction of high-intensity and ultra-wideband EMW absorbers.

Abstract:Electromagnetic wave absorption (EMWA) materials with qualities such as low cost, thin thickness, and high efficiency are of tremendous value in addressing the challenges posed by EMW pollution. Herein, we have successfully synthesized a nanoflower-like composite from the Prussian blue analog KCoFe(CN)6 through a combination of hydrothermal and post-annealing methods. Subsequently, we prepared the hierarchical composite CoFe-K/GC@MnO2@MXene (CMM) by electrostatic self-assembly with few-layered Ti3C2Tx nanosheets. Their chemical compositions, microstructures, and EMWA performances were thoroughly investigated. The CMM composite demonstrated outstanding EMWA performance with an impressive minimum reflection loss (RLmin) value of -53.0 dB at 1.68 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) value of 4.0 GHz with an ultrathinmatching thickness of only 1.55 mm. The exceptional EMWA performance of CMM can be attributed to the increased conductive loss, enhanced interfacial polarization, and optimized impedance matching. Simulated radar cross-section (RCS) plots confirm the outstanding RSC reduction achieved by the CMM absorber coating. Furthermore, the EAB can be extended to 12.12 GHz by designing a macro 3D quadrangular frustum pyramid structural model for the absorber. The practical application potential of CMM was also enhanced by its good heat dissipation capability, which was demonstrated in real-time using an infrared thermal imager. This work provides a novel insight into developing efficient and multifunctional EMWA materials for practical applications.

Abstract:The flourishing development of electronic devices and radar detection technologies necessitates the urgent creation of high-efficiency electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption materials with expansive absorption bandwidths. Although MXene has garnered significant interest in the domain of EMW absorption due to its tunable dielectric properties and structural designability, its high permittivity often results in poor impedance matching and a single loss mechanism, which makes it difficult to realize optimal EMW absorption capabilities. In this work, CoNi bimetallic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) derived bayberry-like magnetic porous carbon (CoNiMPC)@carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/MXene (CNCM) hybrids were initially synthesized via simple solution precipitation, thermal treatment, and electrostatic self-assembly strategy. As anticipated, excellent EMW absorption characteristics were achieved by adjusting the ratio of CoNiMPC@CNTs and MXene. Multi-heterointerfaces consisting of zero-dimensional porous carbon, one-dimensional carbon nanotubes, and two-dimensional (2D) MXene, electrical/magnetic coupling effects, and polarization loss induced by abundant heterointerfaces endow the prepared CNCM hybrids with high-performance EMW absorption. Notably, the CNCM-7 hybrid material exhibits a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of − 65.3 dB at 6.8 GHz with a mere 2.7 mm thickness and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB, RL < −10 dB) of 5.0 GHz at a thickness of 1.27 mm. This study proposes a unique viewpoint and approach towards the design and preparing high-performance MXene-based EMW absorption materials.

Fabrication of Cage-Like Ni/C@Co/NC Composites for Enhanced Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Performances

Abstract:The research of new high-performance electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption materials is of great significance to the solution of electromagnetic radiation pollution and the development of military stealth technology. Herein, cage-like and hierarchically porous structured Ni/C @ Co/N-doped C (Ni/C@Co/NC) composites were rationally constructed through the pyrolysis of Ni-MOF@Co-MOF precursors. By tuning the addition of Ni-MOF, Ni/C@Co/NC composites with diverse Ni/Co constitutes and structures were acquired. Compared with the Ni/C and Co/NC, all the Ni/C@Co/NC composites exhibit stronger absorption ability and broader absorption bandwidth. Among these, Ni/C@Co/NC-2 composite shows a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of -35.90 dB at 10.45 GHz and an effective absorption band (EAB) of 6.10 GHz (11.91-18 GHz) with the thickness of 2.19 mm, Ni/C@Co/NC-4 composite exhibits a RLmin of -66.30 dB at 5.96 GHz and an EAB of 5.87 GHz (11.98-17.85 GHz) with the thickness of 2.30 mm. The excellent EMW absorption performances are ascribed to the unique hierarchically porous and cage-like structure of the composites, which makes the composites show good impedance matching characteristics and strong EMW attenuation ability. This work offers a novel strategy for constructing bimetallic core-shell MOF/MOF derived composites as high-performance EMW absorbing materials.

Abstract:Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbide MXene (Ti3C2Tx) exhibits great potential in electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbing materials due to its abundant surface functional groups and defects, tunable conductivity and high specific surface area. The Co@NC/TiO2/C composites were successfully synthesized through a solvothermal method and carbonization process using Ti3C2Tx/Co-BTC as precursor. The incorporation of magnetic metal Co nanoparticles and Rutile-TiO2 effectively addresses the issue of single loss mechanism in Ti3C2Tx. The results show that CTC-100 exhibits excellent EMW absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss (RL) value of −51.3 dB at a thickness of only 1.48 mm, and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth is (EAB, RL < −10 dB) 4.3 GHz. Simultaneously, by adjusting the matching thickness of the material from 1.29 mm to 5.0 mm, the EAB can achieve 15.42 GHz (from 2.85 GHz to 18 GHz). The excellent EMW absorption performance of CTC-100 composite is primarily attributed to the synergistic effect of magnetic loss and dielectric loss. This study provided an effective strategy for the design of Ti3C2Tx-based EMW absorbing materials with high absorption intensity, reduced thickness, and broad effective absorption bandwidth (EAB).

Abstract:With the increasing demand for effective electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbers due to the proliferation of electronic devices and 5G communication systems, traditional wave-absorbing materials can no longer meet the current requirements. Thus, this research introduces a three-dimensional (3D) composite material consisting of PMMA@Mxene@Co3O4 microspheres, prepared through in situ self-assembly and hydrothermal growth. The strong electrical conductivity of Mxene, combined with the magnetic loss of Co3O4, ensures enhanced dielectric–magnetic synergy, leading to excellent EMW absorption. The study investigates the influence of varying Co3O4 content on the electromagnetic properties of the composite. Experimental results show that the optimal sample, with a thickness of 2.5 mm, achieves a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of −52.88 dB at 6.88 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 5.28 GHz. This work highlights the potential of 3D PMMA@Mxene@Co3O4 composites as high-performance microwave absorbers, providing a promising solution to EMW pollution. The findings offer valuable insights into material design strategies, demonstrate a promising pathway for developing lightweight, high-performance EMW absorbing materials by optimizing impedance matching and utilizing advanced microstructure design techniques.

Bimetallic ZIF-derived conductive network of Co-Zn@NPC@MWCNT nanocomposites for efficient electromagnetic wave absorption in the whole X-band

Abstract:Due to bimetallic MOFs (metal-organic frameworks) possessing diverse structure topologies and superior properties, herein, we used bimetallic ZIFs (zeolitic imidazole frameworks) of MOFs as precursors via the wet chemical and calcination method to fabricate zinc-embellished Co-Zn@NPC@MWCNT nanocomposites with porous conductive carbon-based networks The abundant carbon defects, zinc evaporation, and N-atom doping resulted in the emergence of dipolar/interface polarization, which is good for dielectric loss. The high porosity and large specific surface area were instrumental in the attenuation of multiple scattering and endowed the absorber with an excellent absorption performance. With merely 15 wt% filled loading and 3.187 mm thickness, the obtained composites under the optimized carbonization temperature (800 °C) exhibited double absorption peaks: the RLmin (minimum reflection loss) reached -76.18 dB@12.88 GHz and -33.09 dB@7.76 GHz, respectively. Moreover, a wide absorption bandwidth can be up to 6.56 GHz (7.2-13.76 GHz) with 3.0 mm thickness, distributed in three frequency bands: 20% of the C band, 100% of the X band, and 29.3% of the Ku band. In addition, the conductive network structure of composites was also beneficial for electromagnetic (EM)-wave absorption. An easy preparation process and low cost can further promote the commercial potential of our obtained bimetallic MOF-based material as an EM-wave absorber.

Abstract:Two-dimensional (2D) MXene has attracted vast attention in electromagnetic wave absorption (EWA), but there remains a contradiction between maintaining impedance matching and enhancing dielectric loss. Herein, the multi-scale architectures of ecoflex/2D MXene (Ti 3 C 2 T x )@zero-dimensional CoNi carbon nanotube composite elastomers were successfully constructed by simple liquid-phase reduction and thermo-curing method. The binding between the hybrids as fillers and ecoflex as a matrix greatly enhanced the EWA capability of the obtained composite elastomer and improved its mechanical properties. Owing to its good impedance matching, abundant heterostructures, and synergistic electrical and magnetic losses, this elastomer exhibited an excellent minimum reflection loss of −67 dB at 9.46 GHz under a thickness of 2.98 mm. In addition, its ultrabroad effective absorption bandwidth reached 6.07 GHz. This achievement will pave the way for the exploitation of multi-dimensional heterostructures as high-performance electromagnetic absorbers with superior EWA ability.

Abstract:In the practical application of electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbers, two important factors that simultaneously meet the lightweight characteristics and efficient absorption performance still face considerable challenges. In this work, the ultra-lightweight CoNi alloy nanoparticles uniformly distributed modified carbon nanofiber composites (CoNi@CNFs) was prepared by an ion-etching strategy. The carbon fibers create a three-dimensional conductive network that enhances the absorber's conduction loss capability. The polarization loss is enhanced by the defects in the carbon skeleton and the numerous heterogeneous interfaces formed between the carbon fibers and the surface of CoNi metal particles. The impedance matching property of CoNi@CNFs is optimized by the magnetic dielectric synergistic effect produced by the Ni 2+ etching process. At a frequency of 17.58 GHz, the minimum reflection loss (RL min ) can reach − 52.34 dB, and the effective absorption bandwidth covers the complete Ku band at 7.0 GHz (11.0–18.0 GHz). In the range of − 60° to 60°, the radar cross-section values of the samples, calculated using CST simulation, are less than − 10 dBm 2 . This is critical for realizing the stealth capability of EMWs in high-frequency environments. This study provides an effective strategy for developing highly absorbent, lightweight EMW absorbers with practical potential applications.

Abstract:Ti3C2Tx is considered a candidate for high-efficiency microwave absorption materials due to its adjustable electrical conductivity, low density and high specific surface area in recent years. However, the single absorption mechanism could not meet the practical requirements as the functional microwave absorbers. Herein, 0D/1D/2D architectures of /MXene with 0D Co nanoparticles, 1D carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and 2D Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets were rationally fabricated to enhance the microwave attenuation performance, in which were in situ grown on Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets. By changing the amount of Ti3C2Tx MXene to optimize the impedance matching properties, the /M − -10 absorber exhibits excellent microwave attenuation performance with a minimum reflection loss of −50.5 dB at 5.9 GHz under a thickness of 4.0 mm. Meanwhile, the maximum effective absorption bandwidth (<―10 dB) of /M − -10 absorber can reach 5.8 GHz under 2.0 mm. The remarkable absorption performance can be ascribed to the synergistic effects of interface polarizations and magnetic loss. Moreover, the radar cross section (RCS) simulation was also performed via CST. Under the incident angle of 0°, the RCS reduction value of /M − -10 can reach 33.5 dBm2. This work provides a strategy for synthesizing MXene-based composite materials with tunable electromagnetic attenuation and wide absorption bandwidth performance.

Abstract:Abstract The 3D hollow hierarchical architectures tend to be designed for inhibiting stack of MXene flakes to obtain satisfactory lightweight, high-efficient and broadband absorbers. Herein, the hollow NiCo compound@MXene networks were prepared by etching the ZIF 67 template and subsequently anchoring the Ti 3 C 2 T x nanosheets through electrostatic self-assembly. The electromagnetic parameters and microwave absorption property can be distinctly or slightly regulated by adjusting the filler loading and decoration of Ti 3 C 2 T x nanoflakes. Based on the synergistic effects of multi-components and special well-constructed structure, NiCo layered double hydroxides@Ti 3 C 2 T x (LDHT-9) absorber remarkably achieves unexpected effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 6.72 GHz with a thickness of 2.10 mm, covering the entire Ku-band. After calcination, transition metal oxide@Ti 3 C 2 T x (TMOT-21) absorber near the percolation threshold possesses minimum reflection loss (RL min ) value of − 67.22 dB at 1.70 mm within a filler loading of only 5 wt%. Construction of NiCo2O4 nanosheets-covered Ti3C2Tx MXene heterostructure for remarkable electromagnetic microwave absorption

Abstract:The development of a high-performance electromagnetic microwave (EMW) absorber is pivotal for the practical realization of EMW pollution issues. However, the design of EMW absorbers with ultra-high reflection loss (R L < −70 dB) at ultrathin matching thickness (<2 mm) still faces daunting challenges. Herein, a NiCo2O4 nanosheets-covered Ti3C2Tx MXene (NiCo2O4 NSs-MXene) heterostructure with multi-layered MXene and vertically grown ultrathin NiCo2O4 nanosheets prepared by detachment process, reflux reaction, and heat-treatment is introduced as a new EMW absorber; this heterostructure enables a shocking EMW absorption performance with R L value of −72.3 dB at a thickness of 1.7 mm. The effective absorption bandwidth (EAB, R L < −10 dB) can also reach a relatively impressive 3.6 GHz. Furthermore, the NiCo2O4 NSs-MXene heterostructure shows large dielectric loss derived from conductive loss, interface polarization, and dipolar polarization. The high magnetic loss in the heterostructure originates from natural resonance and eddy current loss. Hence, the synergistic effect of dielectric loss, magnetic loss, and impedance matching promote the superior EMW absorption performance of NiCo2O4 NSs-MXene heterostructure. This achievement paves the way for the exploitation of heterostructure as an ultrathin and super-strong EMW absorption performance.

Abstract:The biggest challenge for electromagnetic wave absorption (EMA) devices is to simultaneously achieve high reflection loss (RL), wide absorption bandwidth, and ultrathin thickness. According to the EMA mechanism of the electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbers, exceptional EMA properties can be achieved by a combination of three-dimensional (3D) cellular structure and synergistically electric/magnetic losses of the electromagnetic energy. In this study, an MXene/graphene oxide (GO)/Co3O4 nanorods (NRs) (MGCR) aerogel composed of two-dimensional (2D) MXene and GO nanosheets, and one-dimensional (1D) Co3O4 NRs was developed to achieve desirable EMA properties. Here, MXene and GO manipulate the dielectric loss, and the Co3O4 NRs provide magnetic loss. The MGCR aerogel shows excellent EMA performances with an impressive minimum RL (RLmin) of − 71.87 dB at a thickness of 2.07 mm and an outstanding maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 6.88 GHz with a density of 9 mg cm−3. And the RL ≤ − 10 dB is obtained in S-band (2–4 GHz), C-band (4–8 GHz), X-band (8–12 GHz), and Ku-band (12–18 GHz) by adjusting the thickness between 2 and 6 mm. In addition, computer simulation technology (CST) was employed to verify the radar cross-section (RCS) reduction of the MGCR in the far-field. The strongest RCS reduction value of the MGCR aerogel achieves up to 33.07 dBm2 at a scattering angle of 90°. This research provides a novel strategy for designing MXene-based electromagnetic absorbers by coupling 1D anisotropically magnetic materials with dielectric materials.

In Situ Fabrication of Heterogeneous Co/Nanoporous Carbon Nano‐Islands for Excellent Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

Abstract:The facile method is developed to fabricate heterogeneous Co/NPC nano‐islands, and a multi‐regulation strategy is proposed to enhance the synergistic effect of the dielectric loss, magnetic loss, and conduction loss, resulting in the excellent EMW absorption performance of the heterogeneous Co/NPC nano‐islands. Specifically, the heterogeneous Co/NPC nano‐islands exhibit an impressive RLmin value of −73.87 dB and demonstrate an EABmax of 6.64 GHz. High‐performance electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbers are essential for addressing electromagnetic pollution and military security. However, challenges remain in realizing cost‐effectiveness and modulating absorbing properties. In this study, heterogeneous Co/nanoporous carbon (NPC) nano‐islands are prepared by efficient method co‐precipitation combined with in situ pyrolysis. The multi‐regulation strategy of morphology, graphitization, and defect density is achieved by modulating the pyrolysis temperature. Adjusting the pyrolysis temperature can effectively balance the conductivity and defect density, optimizing the impedance matching and enhancing the attenuation. Furthermore, it facilitates obtaining the appropriate shape and size of Co magnetic nanoparticles (Co‐MNPs), triggering strong surface plasmon resonance. This resonance, in turn, bolsters the synergy of dielectric and magnetic loss. The incorporation of porous nanostructures not only optimizes impedance matching and enhances multiple reflections but also improves interfacial polarization. Additionally, the presence of enriched defects and heteroatom doping significantly enhances dipole polarization. Notably, the absorber exhibits an impressive minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of −73.87 dB and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth (EABmax) of 6.64 GHz. The combination of efficient fabrication methods, a performance regulation strategy through pyrolysis temperature modulation, and radar cross section (RCS) simulation provides a high‐performance EMW absorber and can pave the way for large‐scale applications.

Abstract:The synthesis of wide bandwidth, thin thickness, and high performance microwave absorbing materials has become a hot topic of current research. Metal-organic frameworks with heterojunctions and porous structures are considered as suitable candidates to meet these characteristics. Herein, heterogeneous CoFe@N-doped porous carbon polyhedron composites were successfully synthesized via Fe 2+ to replace Co in zeolite imidazole frame-67. The dielectric properties of composites were enhanced by the replacement of Fe 2+ , and the synergistic effect of dielectric loss and magnetic loss was realized. The petal-like lamellar structure increases the travel of electromagnetic (EM) waves, and the formation of porous structures improves impedance matching. Specifically, a reflection loss of −67.30 dB was obtained at a thickness of 2.88 mm, and an ultrabroad wide effective absorption bandwidth of 8.40 GHz was obtained, covering most of the X-band (8–12 GHz) and the whole Ku-band (12–18 GHz). The radar cross section (RCS) reduction value can reach 29.4 dB·m 2 , which means that the radar detector has a smaller probability of detecting targets. This work describes the unique advantages of metal ion replacement metal-organic frameworks derived materials in structural design, impedance matching, and performance adjustment, and provides a new reference for the field of electromagnetic wave absorption.

Abstract:As a typical two-dimensional material, MXene possesses excellent conductivity and tunable interlayer space, which makes it have an impressive development potential in the field of electromagnetic (EM) waves absorbing materials. In this work, we fabricated a sandwich structure CoS@Ti3C2Tx composite using a simple solvothermal process. The CoS nanoparticles are anchored on the Ti3C2Tx MXene sheets, forming a heterolayered structure. The results demonstrate that the CoS@Ti3C2Tx composites with the sandwich-like architecture showed excellent EM absorbing performance due to the synergistic effects of the conductivity loss, interface polarization, and dipole polarization. When the doping ratio was 40 wt %, the maximum reflection loss value of CoS@Ti3C2Tx was up to –59.2 dB at 14.6 GHz, and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth (below –10 dB) reached 5.0 GHz when the thickness was only 2.0 mm. This work endows a new candidate for the design of MXene-based absorption materials with optimal performance.

Abstract:Given the complex practical environment and application fields, it is urgent to integrate various functions into one material. Based on the introduction of nano-sites, the creation of multilevel structures synergy, a new electromagnetic wave-infrared stealth compatible composite was prepared for the first time. In which the multi-contact sites and interfaces greatly limited the thermal conduction and enhanced the synergistic polarization. Moreover, the gold nanoparticles with low emissivity not only reduced the external thermal radiation, but also promoted the conduction loss. Optimized composites showed excellent thermal stealth and ultra-high electromagnetic wave absorption (EMA) performance. The difference between the surface and the ambient background temperature was less than 5 °C when the target temperature was 120 °C, thus the detection distance of the infrared system to the target would be effectively reduced. With a thickness of only 1.8 mm, the products provided a minimum reflection loss of -55.9 dB and an ultra-wide effective absorption bandwidth of 16 GHz. Surprisingly, in the far-field condition, the minimum radar cross section value can achieve -49 dB m2. This work provides valuable insights for synthesizing functional materials with excellent EMA and thermal stealth properties.

Abstract:Developing a lightweight microwave absorbing materials (MAMs) with high absorption capacity at low thickness is a perennial challenge in materials engineering. Herein, a light Ti3C2Tx@Carbon/NiZn ferrite (Ti3C2Tx@C/NZFO) composite is designed by synergistically incorporating dielectric–magnetic components. The inclusion of C and NZFO enhances the interfacial polarization of the substrate and optimizes its impedance matching. Additionally, the presence of NZFO also produces magnetic loss mechanisms, such as natural and exchange resonance, as well as eddy current loss. Spontaneously, Ti3C2Tx@C/NZFO composite achieved a minimum reflection loss (RL) of –44.7 dB at 12.5 GHz and displayed an effective absorption bandwidth of 4.27 GHz (13.53–17.8 GHz) at a thin thickness of 1.3 mm (RL < –10 dB). Besides, the Ti3C2Tx@C/NZFO composite exhibits the smallest radar cross–section (RCS) value, which further corroborates its outstanding microwave absorption performance. This research offers a groundbreaking approach to designing lightweight and thin MAMs.

Abstract:With the development of the fifth-generation (5G) communication technology, electromagnetic wave pollution in the military and civilian fields is becoming increasingly severe. To achieve highly efficient electromagnetic wave absorption (EMA), electromagnetic wave absorbing materials must be studied, including composites with both electric and magnetic loss mechanisms. Here, Ti3C2T x MXene@Zn–Mn ferrite (MXene@ZMF) composites were prepared by using a facile coprecipitation method incorporating magnetic ZMF nanoparticles coated onto the surface or inserted into the multilayers of MXene. The dielectric and magnetic losses and good impedance matching of these MXene@ZMF composites enhanced microwave absorption. The microwave absorption mechanism was established. The composite with 80 wt % MXene (denoted as MXene@ZMF-80%) exhibits enhanced EMA performance with a minimum reflection loss (RL min) of −69.86 dB at a frequency of 16.93 GHz and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 2.32 GHz. Therefore, this work provides a simple method for the design and fabrication of hybrid microwave absorbers employing dielectric and magnetic losses, beneficial for solving electromagnetic pollution problems.
