Abstract:Introduction: Dendrobium is a perennial herb of the genus Dendrobium in the orchid family. Generally, Dendrobium officinale (TP) and Dendrobium huoshanense (HS) are both considered to have the function of yin-nourishing, while Dendrobium nobile (JC) has better efficacy of heat-clearing. However, because of the wide variety of Dendrobium species, the classification and clinical application of Dendrobium are often confused clearly distinguished in different medicinal uses. Objective: In order to compare the differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of the three Dendrobium. Methods: We selected TP, HS, and JC cultivated on stone for metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses between 2 and 3 years. Results: The results showed that a total of 489 metabolites were obtained, including 72 were DAMs. The 72 DAMs were mainly enriched in metabolic pathways and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Transcriptome analysis results showed that 1,038 annotated DEGs were identified among the three Dendrobium species. The comprehensive analysis showed that the three Dendrobium differed in the distribution of the content of four major active components: flavonoids, amino acids, alkaloids, and sugars and alcohols, among which the DAMs and DEGs were mainly enriched in metabolic pathways and secondary metabolite biosynthesis. Conclusion: In this study, metabolomics and transcriptomics were utilized to compare the differences among the three species of Dendrobium, to provide theoretical references for future research and selection of different species of Dendrobium based on different medicinal uses, and to lay the foundation for further research on the biosynthesis of flavonoids in Dendrobium.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale (D. officinale) is a valuable traditional Chinese herbal medicine with high commercial value. In Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Ch.P., 2020 edition), the quality of D. officinale is mainly evaluated by its polysaccharide content. However, varying growth and production conditions, such as cultivation environment, origin, harvesting process, or processing methods, resulting in highly variable yields, quality, and composition. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the content of secondary metabolites in D. officinale from different origins is consistent with the polysaccharide content. The results showed that the polysaccharide content and pass rate were ranked as GX > AH > GZ > YN. Based on the nontargeted metabolomics approach, we searched for differential components in 22 different regions of D. officinale, including amides, bibenzyls, disaccharide, flavonoids, organic nitrogenous compounds, and phenolic glycosides. The overall expression was opposite to the polysaccharide, and the most expressed was YN, followed by GZ, AH, and GX. These results indicated that the current quality standard for evaluating the quality of D. officinale by polysaccharide content alone is imperfect, and small molecule compounds need to be included as quality markers.

Abstract:Metabolomics technology has enabled an important method for the identification and quality control of Traditional Chinese Medical materials. In this study, we isolated metabolites from cultivated Dendrobium officinale and Dendrobium huoshanense stems of different growth years in the methanol/water phase and identified them using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). First, a metabolomics technology platform for Dendrobium was constructed. The metabolites in the Dendrobium methanol/water phase were mainly sugars and glycosides, amino acids, organic acids, alcohols. D. officinale and D. huoshanense and their growth years were distinguished by cluster analysis in combination with multivariate statistical analysis, including principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA). Eleven metabolites that contributed significantly to this differentiation were subjected to t-tests (P<0.05) to identify biomarkers that discriminate between D. officinale and D. huoshanense, including sucrose, glucose, galactose, succinate, fructose, hexadecanoate, oleanitrile, myo-inositol, and glycerol. Metabolic profiling of the chemical compositions of Dendrobium species revealed that the polysaccharide content of D. huoshanense was higher than that of D. officinale, indicating that the D. huoshanense was of higher quality. Based on the accumulation of Dendrobium metabolites, the optimal harvest time for Dendrobium was in the third year. This initial metabolic profiling platform for Dendrobium provides an important foundation for the further study of secondary metabolites (pharmaceutical active ingredients) and metabolic pathways.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo is a famous plant with a high medicinal value which has been recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2020 Edition). The medicinal properties of D. officinale are based on its chemical composition. However, there are no reports on how different cultivation methods affect its chemical composition. In order to reveal this issue, samples of the D. officinale were collected in this study through tree epiphytic cultivation, stone epiphytic cultivation, and greenhouse cultivation. Polysaccharides were determined by phenol sulfuric acid method and secondary metabolites were detected by the UPLC-MS technique. In addition, with regards to metabolomics, we used multivariate analyses including principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares analysis (OPLS-DA) to screen for differential metabolites which met the conditions of variable importance projection values >1, fold change >4, and p < 0.05. The differential metabolites were taken further for metabolic pathway enrichment analysis, which was based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) database, and validated by antioxidant activity. Comparing the three groups of samples according to the standards of the ChP (2020 edition), the results showed that the polysaccharide content of the samples from stony epiphytic cultivation and greenhouse cultivation was significantly higher than that of the samples from live tree epiphytic cultivation. Metabolomic analysis revealed that there were 185 differential metabolites among the 3 cultivation methods, with 99 of the differential metabolites being highest in the stone epiphytic cultivation. The results of the metabolic pathway enrichment analysis showed that the different cultivation strategies mainly effected four carbohydrate metabolic pathways, five secondary metabolite synthesis pathways, six amino acid metabolic pathways, one nucleotide metabolism pathway, three cofactor and vitamin metabolism pathways, and one translation pathway in genetic information processing. Furthermore, D. officinale from stone epiphytic cultivation which had the best antioxidant activity was implicated in differential metabolite production. This study revealed the effects of different cultivation methods on the chemical composition of D. officinale and also provided a reference for establishing the quality control standards to aid its development and utilization.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale is an orchid with medicinal and nutritional properties that has received increasing attention because of its health benefits; however, there is limited information about the metabolic basis of these properties. In this report, secondary metabolites and the antioxidant activity of D. officinale stem samples from three provenances were analyzed, using a UHPLC-QqQ-MS/MS-based metabolomics approach. In total, 411 metabolites were identified including 8 categories such as flavonoids and phenolic acids, 136 of which were differential metabolites. These differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) were mainly enriched in secondary metabolic pathways such as flavone, flavonol, tropane, piperidine, pyridine, isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis and tyrosine metabolism. The metabolomic profiling suggested that the quantity and content of flavonoid compounds accounted for the highest proportion of total metabolites. Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) showed that the marker metabolites of D. officinale from the three provenances were mainly flavonoids, alkaloids and phenolic acids. Correlation analysis identified that 48 differential metabolites showed a significant positive correlation with antioxidant capacity (r 3 0.8 and p < 0.0092), and flavonoids were the main factors affecting the different antioxidant activities. It is worth noting that quercetin-3-O-sophoroside-7-O-rhamnoside and dihydropinosylvin methyl ether might be the main compounds causing the differences in antioxidant capacity of Yunnan provenance (YN), Zhejiang provenance (ZJ), and Guizhou provenance (GZ). These finding provides valuable information for screening varieties, quality control and product development of D. officinale .

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale caulis is the dried mature stems (Mat) of D. officinale Kimura et Migo. D. officinale protocorms (DOPs) are the conical embryonic tissues formed after seed germination. Previous studies suggest that these different plant parts possess similar pharmacological activities. However, the metabolic profiles and gene expression across different growth stages of D. officinale remain unknown. In this study, metabolome analysis based on GC and LC/MS/MS was carried out to assess the metabolic profile of both DOPs and Mat. Transcriptome analysis was used to reveal internal relationships between metabolites and the differing gene regulation. The results indicated that although DOPs and Mat had a similar chemical composition, they exhibited different patterns of content. GO classification and KEGG clustering of the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between DOPs and Mat demonstrated that gene enrichment was mainly related to flavonoid biosynthetic and metabolic processes, carbohydrate metabolic processes, and polysaccharide catabolic processes. An alteration in gene expression related to specific metabolic pathways offered a probable explanation for the observed differences in metabolites between DOPs and Mat. This work provides a foundation for subsequent studies regarding the biosynthetic pathways of related metabolites from D. officinalis.

Abstract:Dendrobium is a perennial herb found in Asia that is known for its medicinal and ornamental properties. Studies have shown that the stem is the primary medicinal component of Dendrobium spp. To investigate the effect of the species and age of Dendrobium (in years) on the content of its medicinal components, we collected the stems of 1-to-4-year-old D. officinale , D. moniliforme , and D. huoshanense , sequenced the transcriptome, metabolome, and microbiome, and analyzed the data in a comprehensive multi-omics study. We identified 10,426 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) with 644 differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) from 12 comparative groups and mapped the flavonoid pathway based on DEGs and DAMs. Transcriptomic and metabolomic data indicated a general trend of the accumulation of flavonoids exhibiting pharmacological effects in the three Dendrobium species. In addition, joint metabolome and microbiome analyses showed that actinobacteria was closely associated with flavonoid synthesis with increasing age. Our findings provide novel insights into the interactions of flavonoids of Dendrobium with the transcriptome and microbiome.

Abstract:The cultivation medium of Dendrobium nobile has an effect on the contents of its main medicinal components, but the specific mechanism is still unclear. In this study, the callus, seedlings, rhizomes, and leaves of D. nobile were sequenced for the PacBio SMRT. The 2-year-old stems were selected for the Illumina sequencing and metabolome sequencing to analyze the genetic mechanism of metabolic differences under different epiphytic patterns. As a result, a total of 387 differential genes were obtained, corresponding to 66 differential metabolites. Different epiphytic patterns can induce a series of metabolic changes at the metabolome and transcriptome levels of D. nobile , including flavonoid metabolism, purine metabolism, terpenoid backbone biosynthesis, amino acid metabolism, and alpha-linolenic acid metabolic, and related regulatory genes include ALDH2B7, ADC, EPSPS-1, SHKA, DHAPS-1, GES, ACS1, SAHH, ACS2, CHLP, LOX2, LOX2.3 , and CYP74B2 . The results showed that the genetic mechanism of D. nobile under various epiphytic patterns was different. In theory, the content of metabolites under the epiphytic patterns of Danxia stone is higher, which is more suitable for field cultivation.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo, a rare and traditional medicinal plant, contains many nutrients such as polysaccharides, alkaloids, amino acids and so on. Different growth environment and intraspecific hybridization of different germplasm resources lead to large differences in the yield, quality and medicinal value of D. officinale. Here, the volatile compounds of D. officinale from four producing regions (Zhejiang, Fujian, Yunnan and Jiangxi) were analyzed to provide a certain reference value for the selection of a specific medicinal component in D. officinale breeding. Fresh stems of D. officinale germplasm resources were collected, and the chemical constituents were determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. A total of 101 volatile compounds were identified, of which esters and alcohols accounted for 23 and 22. Hexacosane is the highest relative content of all volatile components. The highest content of hexacosane was observed in YA1 from Yunnan was 34.41%, and the lowest (23.41%) in JA1 from Jiangxi. Moreover, 5-10 unique substances were determined in different regions. A total of 17 medicinal components were detected, and three unique medicinal components were detected only in YA1, revealing that YA1 can provide raw materials for the application of specific medicinal substances extraction. A total of four toxic components were detected, but no toxic components were detected in JA1 from Jiangxi, suggested that the germplasm resources from Jiangxi could be exploited efficiently for breeding superior D. officinale specimens. The results provide a theoretical basis for the collection, protection and utilization of D. officinale germplasm resources in different regions.

Abstract:Dendrobium nobile is an important orchid plant that has been used as a traditional herb for many years. For the further pharmaceutical development of this resource, a combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis was performed in different parts of D. nobile. First, saccharides, organic acids, amino acids and their derivatives, and alkaloids were the main substances identified in D. nobile. Amino acids and their derivatives and flavonoids accumulated strongly in flowers; saccharides and phenols accumulated strongly in flowers and fruits; alkaloids accumulated strongly in leaves and flowers; and a nucleotide and its derivatives and organic acids accumulated strongly in leaves, flowers, and fruits. Simultaneously, genes for lipid metabolism, terpenoid biosynthesis, and alkaloid biosynthesis were highly expressed in the flowers; genes for phenylpropanoids biosynthesis and flavonoid biosynthesis were highly expressed in the roots; and genes for other metabolisms were highly expressed in the leaves. Furthermore, different members of metabolic enzyme families like cytochrome P450 and 4-coumarate-coA ligase showed differential effects on tissue-specific metabolic accumulation. Members of transcription factor families like AP2-EREBP, bHLH, NAC, MADS, and MYB participated widely in differential accumulation. ATP-binding cassette transporters and some other transporters also showed positive effects on tissue-specific metabolic accumulation. These results systematically elucidated the molecular mechanism of differential accumulation in different parts of D. nobile and enriched the library of specialized metabolic products and promising candidate genes.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale (D. officinale) is a precious medicinal species of Dendrobium Orchidaceae, and the product obtained by hot processing is called "Fengdou". At present, the research on the processing quality of D. officinale mainly focuses on the chemical composition indicators such as polysaccharides and flavonoids content. However, the changes in metabolites during D. officinale processing are still unclear. In this study, the process was divided into two stages and three important conditions including fresh stems, semiproducts and "Fengdou" products. To investigate the effect of processing on metabolites of D. officinale in different processing stages, an approach of combining metabolomics with network pharmacology and molecular docking was employed. Through UPLC-MS/MS analysis, a total of 628 metabolites were detected, and 109 of them were identified as differential metabolites (VIP ≥ 1, |log2 (FC)| ≥ 1). Next, the differential metabolites were analyzed using the network pharmacology method, resulting in the selection of 29 differential metabolites as they have a potential pharmacological activity. Combining seven diseases, 14 key metabolites and nine important targets were screened by constructing a metabolite–target–disease network. The results showed that seven metabolites with potential anticoagulant, hypoglycemic and tumor-inhibiting activities increased in relative abundance in the "Fengdou" product. Molecular docking results indicated that seven metabolites may act on five important targets. In general, processing can increase the content of some active metabolites of D. officinale and improve its medicinal quality to a certain extent.

Abstract:Dendrobium officinale Kimura & Migo (D. officinale) is a common, high medicinal value food and herbal medicine used in the treatment of yin-deficient diseases. Adulterants obtained with similar inexpensive species of Dendrobium plants are available in the market. However, Dendrobium species with different quality levels or from different regions as well as analogous species have a similar appearance, which makes the discrimination of Dendrobium species difficult. Reliable objective methods for authenticating D. officinale are lacking. Here, samples of Dendrobium officinale Kimura & Migo (D. officinale) from two regions with three quality levels and sample of the analogous species Dendrobium compactum Rolfe ex W. Hackett (D. compactum) were subjected to genome-wide biological response fingerprinting (BioReF) in RAW264.7 cells by RNA sequencing. The biological pathways affected by these samples could distinguish D. officinale from D. compactum. The high-quality D. officinale samples from Yunnan exhibited the strongest inhibition of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced inflammatory genes and pathways, followed by samples from Myanmar. The medium- and low-quality samples from Yunnan exhibited weaker effects, and D. compactum exerted mild effects. The RNA sequencing results were strengthened by the results from analyses of the expression of the inflammation-related genes Il6, Ccl5, and Cox2 and the production of nitric oxide. Thus, transcriptomic profiling can be used to evaluate the quality of D. officinale and distinguish its origin.

Abstract:The stem of Dendrobium nobile Lindl. (Orchidaceae), called “ Shihu ” in traditional Chinese medicine, is a well-known medicinal and edible plant material in China. It is used as an antipyretic, analgesic, and tonic to nourish the stomach and Yin (i.e., to improve the production of body fluids). These therapeutic properties are attributed to its alkaloids, sesquiterpenoids, bibenzyls, fluorenones, and phenanthrenes. However, a comprehensive understanding of these metabolites and their spatial distribution in stems is lacking. In this study, ultra-performance liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTOF-MS) was performed to obtain detailed metabolites information about D. nobile stems. Then, the spatial distributions of diverse metabolites, including alkaloids and sesquiterpenoids, were characterized and visualized by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI-TOF-MSI). Based on the spatial and metabolic profiling data, sesquiterpene alkaloid dendrobine was chosen for the exhaustive study of a biosynthetic pathway in D. nobile . This is the first report on mass spectrometry imaging for Dendrobium species. As a result, critical bioactive metabolites such as 11 alkaloids, 10 sesquiterpenes, and 13 other metabolites were putatively identified and relatively quantified. The identified alkaloids were distributed in the parenchyma or vascular bundle, and sesquiterpenes were present in all regions of the stem with higher abundance in the vascular bundle and cuticle, or in the cuticle and epidermis. The biosynthetic pathway and accumulation pattern of dendrobine in D. nobile stem were also proposed. Our findings not only provided a critical methodology for the thorough understanding of physiological changes in metabolites and precise utilization of D. nobile stem, but also displayed an effective strategy for insight into the biosynthesis of bioactive metabolites in plants.

Abstract:Bletilla striata has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years to treat a variety of health diseases. Currently, metabolic causes of differences in medicinal values are unknown, due to the lack of a large-scale and comprehensive investigation of metabolites in Bletilla species. In order to gain a better understanding of the major chemical constituents responsible for the medicinal value, this study aimed to explore the metabolomic differences among three Bletilla species ( Bletilla striata : Bs, Bletilla ochracea : Bo and Bletilla formosana : Bf). There were 258 different metabolites between 'Bo' and 'Bf', the contents of 109 metabolites had higher abundance, while 149 metabolites showed less accumulation. There were 165 different metabolites between the 'Bs' and 'Bf', content of 72 metabolites was increased and content of 93 metabolites was decreased. There were 239 different metabolites between the 'Bs' and 'Bo', content of 145 metabolites was increased and content of 94 metabolites was decreased. In the Bo_vs_Bf, Bs_vs_Bf and Bs_vs_Bo groups, the major differential categories were flavonoids, phenolic acids, organic acids and alkaloids. Moreover, the differential metabolites were clustered into clear and distinct profiles via K-means analysis. In addition, the major differential categories were flavonoids, phenolic acids, organic acids and alkaloids. The 'Flavonoid biosynthesis' (ko00941) and 'Phenylalanine metabolism' (ko00360) pathways were significantly enriched in Bo_vs_Bf, Bs_vs_Bf and Bs_vs_Bo comparisons. These results clarify the metabolomics in different Bletilla species, as well as providing basis for the phamaceutical value of novel species of Bletilla .

Abstract:Stellaria Radix, called Yinchaihu in Chinese, is a traditional Chinese medicine, which is obtained from the dried roots of Stellaria dichotoma L. var. lanceolata Bge. Cultivated yinchaihu (YCH) has become a main source of production to alleviate the shortage of wild plant resources, but it is not clear whether the metabolites of YCH change with the mode of production. In this study, the contents of methanol extracts, total sterols and total flavonoids in wild and cultivated YCH are compared. The metabolites were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography–tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The content of methanol extracts of the wild and cultivated YCH all exceeded the standard content of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. However, the contents of total sterols and total flavonoids in the wild YCH were significantly higher than those in the cultivated YCH. In total, 1586 metabolites were identified by mass spectrometry, and 97 were significantly different between the wild and cultivated sources, including β-sitosterol, quercetin derivatives as well as many newly discovered potential active components, such as trigonelline, arctiin and loganic acid. The results confirm that there is a rich diversity of metabolites in the wild and cultivated YCH, and provide a useful theoretical guidance for the evaluation of quality in the production of YCH.

Abstract:Dendrobium huoshanense ( D . huoshanense ) has been used as functional food supplements and herbal medicines for preventing and managing diseases with a long history in China. Due to its endangered natural resources and huge demand, people tend to cultivate D . huoshanense to protect this species. However, the quality of wild and cultivated herbs of the same species may change. This work quantified and compared the main quality traits and chemical components of wild imitating and greenhouse cultivated D . huoshanense with different growth years. As a result, wild and cultivated D . huoshanense had similar chemical composition, but there are significant differences in the content of many ingredients (polysaccharides, flavonoids, nucleosides, bibenzyls, lignans and volatile compounds). And the contents of many of these components increased with growing years. In addition, multivariate statistical analyses have been applied to classify and evaluate samples from different cultivation modes according to these components. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that the overall quality of greenhouse cultivated D . huoshanense was not as good as wild-grown, but this mode can be a promising and sustainable way of producing D . huoshanense .

Abstract:Objective: To investigate the feasibility of replacing wild Dendrobium officinale with artificial cultivated ones by comparing the chemical quilty of Dendrobium officinale from different sources. Methods: The comparsion of main medicinal components, inluding total polysaccharides, amino acid and trace element was made among artificial cultivated one, protocorm culture, "Tiepi Fengdou" and "Tiepi Shihu Capsule" with quantitative determination. Results: Our findings showed that the content of tatal polysaccharides in artificial cultivated one was similar to that of "Tiepi Fengdou" with the rates of 25.31% and 29.38% respectively, while the content in protocorm culture was the lowest with a rate of 7.51% and "Teipi Shihu Capsule" was the highest, with a rate of 40.73%. The content of total amino acid in artificial cultivated one was 5.74%, higher than "Tiepi Fengdou" (4.5%) and "Tiepi Shihu Capsule" (3.91%), and lower than protocorm culture (13.35%). The artificial cultivated one and "Tiepi Fengdou" are similar in the content of ten trace elements, while the content of nine trace elements in protocorm culture was higher than others, and the trace elements in "Tiepi Shihu Capsule" were relatively low. Conclusion: The main medicinal components of artificial cultivated Dendrobium officinale are similar to those of wild one, so they can be developed as substitute resources of the latter, which will also lay a solid foundation for the protection and sustainable utilization of Dendrobium officinale resource.

Abstract:Dendrobium nobile alkaloids (DNLA) and glycosides are the main active components extracted from Dendrobium nobile Lindl. (D. nobile) used for thousands of years in China. The pharmacological effects of the above chemical components are significantly different. D. nobile is mainly grown at an altitude ranging from 230 to 800 m in Chishui City, Northwest Guizhou Province. However, it is unclear whether the metabolite in D. nobile is influenced by the planting altitude. Hence, to reveal the different metabolite in D. nobile cultivated at the altitude of 336 m, 528 m, and 692 m, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with Q/TOF-MS couple with multivariate analysis were developed. Using the orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis, 19 different metabolites were discovered and then tentatively assigned their structures as alkaloids and glycosides by comparing mass spectrometry data with in-house database and literature. Moreover, the result of semiquantitative analysis showed the content of dendrobine that was belonged to alkaloids significantly increased at the altitude of 692 m, whereas the content of glycosides demonstrated an accumulation trend at the altitude of 528 m. The results could provide valuable information for the optimal clinical drug therapeutics and provide a reference for quality control.

Abstract:Objective: The aim of this study was to comprehensively analyze the differences in Chinese dragon's blood (CDB), specifically Dracaena cochinchinensis and Dracaena cambodiana, from different geographical origins. Methods: Metabolomic analysis of CDB was performed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). A reliable ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography method with a photodiode array detector (UHPLC-PDA) was developed and applied for the quantitative analysis of 12 phenolic compounds in 51 batches of samples. Results: A total of 1394 metabolites were detected, of which 467 were identified as differentially accumulated metabolites. Multivariate analysis revealed that both origin and species had an effect on the composition of CDB, with greater variation between species. 19 phenolic compounds were selected as quality markers to distinguish D. cochinchinensis (Hdsp) from D. cambodiana (Hdca), and oppositin and spinoflavanone a were identified as quality markers to discriminate D. cochinchinensis samples from Hainan (Hdsp) and Guangxi Provinces (Gdc). Quantitative analysis indicated that four phenolic compounds, including loureirin D, 4H-1-benzopyran-4-one,2,3-dihydro-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3-[(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl]-,(R)-, loureirin B, and pterostilbene, showed significant differences between Gdc and Hdsp. Additionally, five phenolic compounds, namely resveratrol, loureirin D, pinostilbene, 4H-1-benzopyran-4-one,2,3-dihydro-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3-[(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl]-, (R)-, and loureirin B, exhibited significant differences between Hdsp and Hdca. Conclusion: There are significant differences in the quality of CDB from different geographical origins and species, which lays the foundation for the in-depth development and utilization of different sources of CDB.
