Abstract:Eight compounds were isolated from the methanol extract of the roots and aerial parts of Anemone rivularis Buch. -Ham. ex DC. By means of spectroscopic methods, their structures were established as oleanolic acid 3-O-alpha -L-arabinopyranoside(1), oleanolic acid 3-O-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 -->2)-alpha -arabinopyranoside(2), oleanolic acid 3-O-alpha -D-ribopyranosyl(1 -->3)-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-2)-alpha -L-arabinopyranoside(3), hederaginin 3-O-alpha -L-arabinopyranoside(4), 3-O-alpha -D-ribopyranosyl(1 -->3)-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-2)-alpha -L-arabinopyranosly oleanolic acid 28-O-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 -->4)-O-D-glucopyranosyl(1-6)-beta -D-gulcopyranoside(5), 3-O-alpha -L-ribopyranosyl(1-3)-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 -->4)-alpha -L-arabinopyranosly hederaginin 28-O-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 -->4)-alpha -D-glucopyranosyl(1-6)-beta -Dgulcopyranoside(6), 3 beta ,12 beta ,23-trihydroxy-olean-28,13 beta -olide(7) and 3 beta ,12 beta ,13 beta -trihydroxy-olean-28-oic acid 3-O-D-ribopyranosyl(1 -->3)-alpha -L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 -->2)-alpha -L-arabinopyranoside (8) respectively. The last two compounds were new ones and named anemonolide(7) and anemoside B(8).
