Abstract:Coupling between 2-pyridylselenyl chloride and various cyanopyridinium salts resulted in the formation of dicationic pyridinium-fused 1,2,4-selenodiazoles. Novel bicyclic heterocycles are highly soluble in water and readily precipitate pertechnetate and perrhenate anions from aqueous media. All the novel compounds were comprehensively characterized using 1 H and 13 C NMR techniques, ESI-MS, and X-ray diffraction analysis (for eight compounds). Theoretical calculations have shown the intricate nature of chalcogen bonding (ChBs) and anion-π interactions across a series of compounds, each exhibiting unique bonding patterns and interaction energies. Compounds [ 1 ]H(ReO 4 ) 2 , [ 2 ]H(ReO 4 ) 2 , [ 3 ](ReO 4 ), [ 2 ]H(TcO 4 ) 2 and [ 3 ](TcO 4 ) displayed complex assemblies, highlighting the role of ion-pair interactions, bifurcated ChBs, and directional mater bonds.

Abstract:The synthesis and structural characterization of α-haloalkyl-substituted pyridinium-fused 1,2,4-selenadiazoles with various counterions is reported herein, demonstrating a strategy for directed supramolecular dimerization in the solid state. The compounds were obtained through a recently discovered 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between nitriles and bifunctional 2-pyridylselenyl reagents, and their structures were confirmed by the X-ray crystallography. α-Haloalkyl-substituted pyridinium-fused 1,2,4-selenadiazoles exclusively formed supramolecular dimers via four-center Se···N chalcogen bonding, supported by additional halogen bonding involving α-haloalkyl substituents. The introduction of halogens at the α-position of the substituent R in the selenadiazole core proved effective in promoting supramolecular dimerization, which was unaffected by variation of counterions. Additionally, the impact of cocrystallization with a classical halogen bond donor C6F3I3 on the supramolecular assembly was investigated. Non-covalent interactions were studied using density functional theory calculations and topological analysis of the electron density distribution, which indicated that all ChB, XB and HB interactions are purely non-covalent and attractive in nature. This study underscores the potential of halogen and chalcogen bonding in directing the self-assembly of functional supramolecular materials employing 1,2,4-selenadiazoles derived from recently discovered cycloaddition between nitriles and bifunctional 2-pyridylselenyl reagents.

Abstract:This study aimed to explore complexities in nursing documentation and related factors. Nursing documentation has been one of the most important functions of nurses since the time of Florence Nightingale because it serves multiple and diverse purposes. Current health-care systems require that documentation ensures continuity of care, furnishes legal evidence of the process of care and supports evaluation of quality of patient care. However, nursing documentation has not served such objectives because of its complexities. This study explores nursing documentation complexities and related factors through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The study used multiple methods of inquiry: in-depth interviewing; participant observation; nominal group processing; focus group meetings; time and motion study of nursing activities; and auditing of completeness of nursing documentation. Complexities in nursing documentation include three aspects: disruption, incompleteness and inappropriate charting. Related factors that influenced documentation comprised: limited nurses' competence, motivation and confidence; ineffective nursing procedures; and inadequate nursing audit, supervision and staff development. These findings suggest that complexities in nursing documentation require extensive resolution and implicitly dictate strategies for nurse managers and nurses to take part in solving these complicated obstacles.

Abstract:A new pyridine-fused seleno-diazo-lium salt, 3-(phenyl-selan-yl)[1,2,4]selena-diazolo[4,5-a]pyridin-4-ylium chloride di-chloro-methane 0.352-solvate, C12H9N2Se2 +·Cl-·0.352CH2Cl2, was obtained from the reaction between 2-pyridyl-selenenyl chloride and phenyl-seleno-cyanate. Single-crystal structural analysis revealed the presence of C-H⋯N, C-H⋯Cl-, C-H⋯Se hydrogen bonds as well as chalcogen-chalcogen (Se⋯Se) and chalcogen-halogen (Se⋯Cl-) inter-actions. Non-covalent inter-actions were explored by DFT calculations followed by topological analysis of the electron density distribution (QTAIM analysis). The structure consists of pairs of seleno-diazo-lium moieties arranged in a head-to-tail fashion surrounding disordered di-chloro-methane mol-ecules. The assemblies are connected by C-H⋯Cl- and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming layers, which stack along the c-axis direction connected by bifurcated Se⋯Cl-⋯H-C inter-actions.
Novel Salts of Heterocyclic Polyamines and 5-Sulfosalicylic Acid: Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Hierarchical Supramolecular Interactions

Abstract:A series of novel salts of heterocyclic polyamines with 5-sulfosalicylic acid (C4H7N4+)(C7H5O6S−)∙2(H2O) (1), (C4H6ClN4+)(C7H5O6S−)∙H2O (2), (C5H8N3+)(C7H5O6S−)∙H2O (3), (C5H7N6+)(C7H5O6S−)∙H2O (4), (C6H14N22+)(C7H4O6S2−)∙H2O (5), and (C14H19N2+)(C7H5O6S−) (6) have been successfully synthesized. Their crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Overall, compounds adopt a layered structure with aminium cations and 5-sulfosalicylic anions linked via water molecules. The solid-state architectures of these compounds are dominated by O(N,H)-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds and stabilized by weak interconnects. C-Cl⋯π and S-O⋯π interactions, apart from π⋯π and C-H(O)⋯π, were reported. Diverse approaches were used to study the effect of substituents in the polyamines in solid-state arrangement. A Hirshfeld surface analysis, with associated 3D Hirshfeld surface maps and 2D fingerprint plots, molecular electrostatic potential, and energy frameworks were used to comprehensively investigate the nature and hierarchy of non-covalent interactions and inspect supramolecular differences. The contact enrichment ratio calculations provided deeper insight into the propensity of interconnects to influence crystal packing. The evaluation of the effects of H-bonding synthons resulting from different substituents in the polyamines on self-assemblies is also presented. In the context of crystal engineering, a specific intramolecular synthon via O-H⋯O observed in nearly all crystals can be employed in the pseudo-cyclic replacement strategy in the design of new molecules.

Abstract:A series of novel salts based on aromatic polyamines and 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid, such as C10H12N6O5 (1), C10H9ClN6O4 (2), C11H10N8O4 (3), and C14H17N16O5.5 (4) or 3,4-thiophenedicarboxylic acid, such as C10H10N4O4S (5), C10H9ClN4O4S (6), and C10H10N4O4S2 (7), were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. All compounds crystallize in a monoclinic space group. The structure was subjected to complex Hirshfeld surface analysis, molecular electrostatic potential, enrichment ratio, and energy framework calculations. The influence of different cations on the packing of 3-carboxypyrazine-2-carboxylate and 4-carboxythiophene-3-carboxylate anions in the crystal lattice was studied. O...H/H...O interactions are the main contributor in all crystals. In addition, in a series of pyrazine-containing structures, N(C)...H/H...N(C) interactions have relevance, while in a series of thiophene-based compounds, C...H/H...C and S...H(O)/H(O)...S. In addition, Cl-based interactions are observed in compound 2. According to the enrichment ratio calculations, O...H/H...O and C...C are the most preferable interactions in all structures. The energy frameworks are dominated by the dispersive contribution, only in compound 3 is the electrostatic term dominant. The analyzed structures reveal intra- and intermolecular recurrent supramolecular synthons. In both series of crystals, the robust H-bonded centrosymmetric dimer R22(8) as homo- or as heterosynthon (in compounds 2, 3, 6, and 7) and the intramolecular synthon S(7) generated by O-H...O interactions (in compounds 2, 6, and 7) are present. The supramolecular patterns formed by π...π (C...C) and C-O(Cl,S)...C are also noticeable. Notably, a dual synthon linking the supramolecular chain via π...π interactions and the homosynthon R22(8) via N-H...N interactions is visible in both series of new salts. A library of H-bonding motifs at diverse levels of supramolecular architecture is provided. We extended the analysis of intramolecular H-bonding motifs to similar structures deposited in the Cambridge Structural Database. Another important feature is the existence of an intramolecular O...H...O bridge between two neighboring carboxylic groups as substituents in anions in compounds 3 and 5. In this context, we performed quantum theory of atoms-in-molecule calculations to reveal more details.

Abstract:A systematic series of anion receptors based on bidentate halogen bonding by halo-triazoles and -triazoliums is presented. The influence of the halogen bond donor atom, the electron-withdrawing group, and the linker group that bridges the two donor moieties is investigated. Additionally, a comparison with hydrogen bond-based analogues is provided. A new, efficient synthetic approach to introduce different halogens into the heterocycles is established using silver(I)-triazolylidenes, which are converted to the corresponding halo-1,2,3-triazoliums with different halogens. Comprehensive nuclear magnetic resonance binding studies supported by isothermal titration calorimetry studies were performed with different halides and oxo-anions to evaluate the influence of key parameters of the halogen bond donor, namely, polarization of the halogen and the bond angle to the anion. The results show a larger anion affinity in the case of more charge-dense halides as well as a general preference of the receptors to bind oxo-anions, in particular sulfate, over halides.

Abstract:The reaction of aromatic ring-substituted isoselenocyanates with 2-thiopheacetic and 4-pyridinecarboxylic acid hydrazides yielded selenosemicarbazides, which were further converted into previously unknown 1,2,4-triazole-3-selones and 3,3′-di(4 H -1, 2,4-triazolyl)diselenides. The structure of the obtained compounds was studied by X-ray diffraction analysis and NMR spectroscopy. Theoretically, the reactivity and nonlinear optical (NLO) properties were predicted by using the DFT-BELYP functional. Charge separation and orbital analysis were performed by using the frontier molecular orbital (FMO) and natural population analysis (NPA). 5aa, 5ca , and 5ab show significantly reduced HOMO-LUMO gaps and ionization potential (IP) among the other compounds. The density of states (DOS) spectra was plotted to get a pictorial representation of orbital and their energies. The highest β o value of 1754.31 au is obtained for 7fb which is indicating its excellent NLO properties. Nature and strength of Intermolecular interactions in crystal packing is considered through Hirshfeld surface (HS) analysis using the CrystalExplorer. Hence, the studied compounds have significant reactivity and optical and NLO properties and may open a new door in searching for new NLO materials.

Abstract:The readily available recognition motifs with high affinity and selectivity can undoubtedly expedite the development of host-guest chemistry from fundamental research to practical application in miscellaneous fields. In this work, a series of guest-mediated [2]pseudorotaxanes are successfully constructed by the incorporation of tetrasulfonated 1,5-dinaphtho-38-crown-10 (1(4-)) with three kinds of dicationic substrates, i.e., the diquaternary salts of 4,4'-bipyridine, 1,10-phenanthroline, and 2,7-diazapyrene, which are comprehensively explored by means of UV/vis, (1)H NMR spectra, X-ray crystallography, and microcalorimetric titrations. Significantly, the interpenetration of 1(4-) with N,N'-dimethyl-2,7-diazapyrenium salt (DMDAP(2+)) gives an extraordinarily strong association constant (K(a)) up to 10(8) M(-1) order of magnitude in water. Moreover, the spectroscopic and crystallographic analyses jointly demonstrate that there is a competitive binding process in the complexation of 1(4-) with DMDAP(2+) and methyl viologen (MV(2+)), in which DMDAP(2+) is internally encapsulated in the cavity of 1(4-), whereas MV(2+) is externally embedded in the crystallographic lattice to form the ternary supramolecular assembly of MV(2+)·DMDAP(2+)⊂1(4-). We also envision that the Ka gradient obtained in our systematic work illustrates a new and elegant strategy for attaining multicomponent nanomaterials engineered at a molecualr level.
para-Benzene disulfonic acid and its tetrachloro and tetrafluoro derivatives--studies towards polyhalogenated metal-organic-frameworks with sulfo analogues of terephthalic acid

Abstract:We developed convenient synthetic routes for the preparation of para-benzene disulfonic acid (H(2)BDS) and its tetrachloro (H(2)BDSCl(4)) and tetrafluoro (H(2)BDSF(4)) derivatives. The reaction of these acids with zinc nitrate in DMF led to single crystals of [Zn(BDS)(DMF)(2)] (triclinic, P ̄1[combining macron], Z=2, a=976.62(4), b=986.85(4), c=1014.40(4), α=69.106(2)°, β=68.746(2)°, γ=86.295(2)°, wR(2)=0.0627), [Zn(BDSCl(4))(DMF)(4)] (triclinic, P ̄1[combining macron], Z=1, a=831.5(1), b=905.2(1), c=989.6(1), α=90.44(2)°, β=91.41 (2)°, γ=106.72(2)°, wR(2)=0.0635), and [Zn(BDSF(4))(DMF)(4)] (monoclinic, P2(1)/c, Z=2, a=889.01(3), b=968.91(3), c=1633.07(5) pm, β=106.524(2)°, wR(2)=0.0948). While [Zn(BDS)(DMF)(2)] exhibits a layer structure, the disulfonate linkers connect the zinc ions into chains in the crystal structures of [Zn(BDSCl(4))(DMF)(4)] and [Zn(BDSF(4))(DMF)(4)]. Thermoanalytical investigations revealed that desolvation of the compounds occurs in a temperature range between 100 and 200 °C. The solvent free sulfonates show remarkably high stabilities, [Zn(BDS)(DMF)(2)] is stable up to nearly 600 °C. The halogenated acids were also used to prepare copper salts from aqueous solutions and Cu(2)(OH)(2)(CO(3)) (malachite) as a copper source. The crystal structure of [Cu(H(2)O)(6)](BDSF(4)) (triclinic, P ̄1[combining macron], Z=1, a=510.45(2), b=744.68(3), c=1077.77(4) pm, α=85.627 (2)°, β=77.449 (2)°, γ=76.015 (2)°) exhibits complex cations and uncoordinated sulfonate anions, while in [Cu(BDSCl(4))(H(2)O)(4)] (orthorhombic, Pnma, Z=4, a=721.27(2), b=2147.81(6), c=979.42(3) pm) the Cu(2+) ions are linked to infinite chains in the crystal structure. The most interesting structural feature of [Cu(BDSCl(4))(H(2)O)(4)] is the significant deviation from planarity of the disulfonate dianion. Theoretical investigations revealed that a boat conformation is favoured due to steric hindrance in cases where a syn coordination of the sulfonate groups occurs. The thermal behaviour of the copper compounds was also investigated by DTA/TG measurements and X-ray powder diffraction.

Abstract:Acylselenourea diselenides, with the formula [RC(O)NC(Se)NR 2 ] 2 , are underexplored organoselenated compounds with potential applications in medicinal chemistry, coordination, and organic synthesis. This article presents a comprehensive study on the synthesis, spectroscopy, and structural characterization of the novel diselenide N,N '-diselanediyl-bis-((diphenylamino)methanylylidene)-dibenzamide, i.e., R = Phenyl. The compound was synthesized by a one-pot bimolecular oxidation between the tautomeric forms of the selenourea intermediate PhC(O)NHC(Se)N(Ph) 2 . The total yield of the reaction was moderate (40 %), with losses attributed to the formation of amorphous red selenium. Spectroscopic analysis, including FT-IR, 1 H NMR, and 13 C NMR, confirmed the molecular identity of the compound. The crystal structure of diselenide was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, which revealed the formation of a centrosymmetric dimer through a bidirectional hydrogen bond of the C=O···H-Ph type. Hirshfeld surface (HS) analysis and topological study of electron density (ρ) provided detailed information on the strength of the intermolecular and intramolecular interactions in the crystal structure.

Abstract:Bayesian learning is applied on two class systems. Partitioning a big sample made up of many elements of two classes of indistinguishable objects, we indistinctly pursue from 2 to 5 training sets called hypotheses in the probability field, with a plausible rate of object from each hypothesis. Objects are taken one by one from the sample. The basic aim faced is to predict one type of objects in the following occasion in which an agent takes one of them from the original sample to test it. We obtain the graph of a posteriori probability for each hypothesis of one of the objects. A prediction that the following object is specifically one of them is acquired in one probability curve by means of training previously accomplished. This methodology is applied on manufacture of glass bottles of two classes: good or crash. The main interest is to predict which machine produced one detected crash bottle because bottles turn to be indistinguishable when they are reviewed. This is solved by fixing a priori probabilities and taking into account all possible probability distribution combinations in the classes.

Abstract:Bis-benzimidazolium salt (S)-2,2′-bis[2″-(N-Et-benzimidazoliumyl)ethoxy]-1,1′-binaphthyl hexafluorophosphate [(S)-L1H2]·(PF6)2 and bis-imidazolium salts (S)-2,2′-bis[2″-(N-R-imidazoliumyl)ethoxy]-1,1′-binaphthyl hexafluorophosphate [(S)-L2H2]·(PF6)2 and [(S)-L3H2]·(PF6)2 (R = ethyl or benzyl), as well as their five N-heterocyclic carbene Hg(II) and Ag(I) complexes such as [(S)-L1Hg(HgBr4)] (1), [(S)-L2Hg(HgBr4)] (2), [(S)-L2Hg(HgI4)] (3), {[(S)-L2Ag](PF6)}n (4) and [(S)-L3Ag](PF6) (5) have been prepared and characterized. Each of complexes 1–3 consists of two rings (one 6-membered ring and one 11-membered ring), in which the oxygen atom in the ligand participates in coordination with Hg(II) ion. In complex 4, 1D helical polymeric chain is formed via biscarbene ligand (S)-L2 and Ag(I) ion. A 15-membered macrometallocycle is constructed through a ligand (S)-L3 and a Ag(I) ion in complex 5. Additionally, the selective recognition of H2PO4− using complex 5 as a receptor was investigated on the basis of fluorescence and UV/vis spectroscopic titrations. The results indicate that complex 5 can distinguish effectively H2PO4− from other anions.

Abstract:The activation of poorly reactive substrates via strong chiral acids is a central topic in asymmetric ion pair catalysis these days. Despite highly successful scaffolds such as N-triflylphosphoramides, these catalysts either lack C2-symmetry or provide multiple H-bond acceptor sites, leading to lower ee values for certain reactions. We present BINOL-based diselenophosphoric acids (DSA) as an extremely promising alternative. Using an intertwined approach of synthesis and NMR studies, we developed a synthetic approach to DSA with up to 98 % NMR yield. The obtained acids provide both very high proton donor and proton acceptor properties, a bifunctionality, which is key to catalytic applications. Indeed, first reactivity test proved the much higher acidity of DSA and its ability to initiate Mukaiyama-Mannich reaction and protodesilylation of silyl ethers. Together with their C2-symmetry, the single donor and single acceptor situation, the decreased tendency of self-association, and the straightforward synthesis with potential 3,3'-substitution, the DSA provide all features ideal for the further development of ion pair catalysis.

Abstract:XRD study of crystals of zinc(II) halide complexes featuring 2,1,3-benzoselenadiazole (L) ligands [ZnL 2X2] (X = Cl, Br, I) indicated availability of intramolecular chalcogen bonds between the Se atom and the halide ligands, which affect a rotation barrier around the Zn–N bonds and thus control a geometry of these species. In the solid state, the Se atom additionally forms intermolecular chalcogen bonds with the N atom of the 2,1,3-benzoselenadiazole ligands, which results in formation of infinite 1D chains. Theoretical calculations and experimental kinetic study indicated that although the Se atom serves as a Lewis acid, coordination of the organic ligand to the zinc(II) center does not provide enhanced catalytic activity of the latter in the model reaction of the Schiff condensation.

Anion-binding Properties of Π-Electron Deficient Cavities in Bis(tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine): a Theoretical Study.

Abstract:The anion recognition by synthetic host molecules is an important theme in supramolecular chemistry. Bis(tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine) is a conformationally rigid cage molecule with three V-shaped clefts, each constituted by two electron-deficient triazine rings and two aryl C-H moieties. Its halide-binding properties are investigated in this work by quantum chemistry methods. The calculated Gibbs free energies display similar trends as the experimental observations. It has been shown that different types of noncovalent interactions including H-bond, anion-π, and lone-pair-π interactions are concurrent, leading to a cooperative effect. The respective contributions of the interactions to the overall stability are evaluated by using appropriate reference systems, with the anion-π interactions found to be as significant as the hydrogen bond interactions. In addition, in the presence of a water molecule, the stability of the ternary complexes has enhanced greatly in comparison with the binary complexes. Investigations of the solvent effect by the continuum solvent model show that the anion binding energies decrease with increasing solvent polarities. The weak halide binding energies in solution indicate that the reversible binding interactions with bis(tetraoxacalix[2]arene[2]triazine) can offer potential applications for anion transport in the membrane environment.

Abstract:The reaction of pyridine with cyanuric chloride was studied under microwave activation as well as in the presence of silver nitrate. The product of hydrolysis containing two pyridinium rings and chloride anion was isolated. The structures of these anion exchanger salts with chloride, nitrate and perrhenate anions are discussed.

Abstract:We report the synthesis and characterization, colorimetric anion sensors properties, density functional theory (DFT) calculation studies of a Schiff base (E)-2-[(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylimino)methyl]-4-chlorophenol. The molecular structure of the title compound was experimentally determined using X-ray single-crystal data and was compared to the structure predicted by theoretical calculations using DFT. The experimental and calculated data (using DFT) of the title compound have been compared. To investigate the tautomeric stability, some properties such as total energy, HOMO and LUMO energies, the chemical hardness (η), the ionization potential, the electron affinity, the absolute electronegativity (χ), the absolute softness (σ) of the compound were obtained at B3LYP/6–311++G(d,p) level in the gas phase and solvent phase. The calculated results showed that the enol-imine form of the compound was more favorite than keto-amine form. Abstract:Two novel heteroatom-bridged bis(benzo-12-crown-4 ether)s, i.e., bis(2-nitro-4,5-(1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecamethylene)phenyl) disulfide (4) and diselenide (5), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and mass, IR, UV, and H-1 NMR spectroscopy. An X-ray crystallographic structure was obtained for 4. Ion-selective electrodes (ISE) for Ag+, containing 4 and 5 in PVC membrane as neutral carriers, were prepared, and their selectivity coefficients for Ag+ (K-Ag,M(pot)) were determined against other heavy metal ions, alkali and alkaline-earth metal ions, and ammonium ion using the matched potential method. These ISEs showed excellent Ag+ selectivities, log K-Ag.M(pot) less than or equal to -4.0, against most of the interfering cations examined. except for Hg+ (log K-Ag.M(pot) greater than or equal to -1.2). These K-Ag.M(pot) values are comparable to those reported for the representative Ag+-selective thioethers 6 and 7, revealing that both disulfide and diselenide functionalities in 4 and 5 are equally effective Ag+-selective binding sites as the 1,7-dithia-4-oxa functionality in 6 and 7, irrespective of the different atom type and relative position of the sulfur/selenium donors in the ligands. Also discussed are the steric and electronic effects of the nitro groups in 4 and 5 on the Nernstian slopes obtained with the 4- and 5-based ISEs.

Abstract:[(Z)-2′-{2-C6H5-(4H)-oxazol-5-one}CHC6H4]2Se (5, L1) and [(Z)-4′-{2-C6H5-(4H)-oxazol-5-one}CHC6H4]2Se (6, L2) were prepared, structurally characterized and used as ligands to obtain new metal complexes of types [MX(Ln)] [L1: M = Ag, X = OTf (7); M = Au, X = Cl (13); L2: M = Ag, X = OTf (8); M = Au, X = Cl (14)], [(MX)2(Ln)] [M = Ag, X = OTf, L1 (9); L2 (10)], [ZnCl2(Ln)] [L1 (15); L2 (16)] and [Ag(Ln)][PF6] [L1 (11); L2 (12)]. The silver complexes 7 and 8 were ionic species (1:1 electrolytes) in a MeCN solution, while in the solid state, the triflate fragments were bonded to the silver cations. Similarly, the 2:1 complexes 9 and 10 were found to behave as 1:2 electrolytes in a MeCN solution, but single-crystal X-ray diffraction demonstrated that compound 9 showed the formation of a dimer in the solid state: a tetranuclear [Ag(OTf)]4 built through bridging triflate ligands was coordinated by two bridging organoselenium ligands through the nitrogen from the oxazolone ring and the selenium atoms in a 1κN:2κSe fashion. Supramolecular architectures supported by intermolecular C−H∙∙∙π, C−H∙∙∙O, Cl∙∙∙H and F∙∙∙H interactions were observed in compounds 4, 5 and 9. The compounds exhibited similar photophysical properties, with a bathochromic shift in the UV-Vis spectra caused by the position of the oxazolone ring on the phenyl ring attached to the selenium atoms.
