Abstract:Systemic sclerosis is a complex multisystem connective tissue disease resulting in fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Exposure to corticosteroids can trigger scleroderma renal crisis, a life-threatening complication of the disease. Autoimmune disease following infection with COVID-19 is being increasingly recognised. The mechanisms of post-COVID-19 autoimmunity are likely multifactorial, involving immune dysregulation, molecular mimicry and the development of cross-reactive antibodies. There are currently only two reported cases of systemic sclerosis occurring post-COVID-19 infection. We present the case of a female patient who developed systemic sclerosis post-COVID-19 infection. Following exposure to corticosteroids, the patient developed scleroderma renal crisis complicated by thrombotic microangiopathy, seizures and acute renal failure. Despite an antibody profile not typically associated with renal crisis (anti-topoisomerase positive, anti-RNA-polymerase III negative), the patient developed recurrent renal crisis with repeated exposure to corticosteroid therapy, highlighting the risk of steroid use in all patients with systemic sclerosis.

Abstract:Background: Juvenile Scleroderma is a rare autoimmune disease of the connective tissue. Its concurrence with COVID-19 can lead to limb ischemia as both disease entities are pro-inflammatory and pro-thrombotic. To date, there is no case report describing the symptomatology and course of disease in patients with juvenile Scleroderma and COVID-19. Case presentation: An adolescent with acute limb ischemia presented with a history of generalized hypo-and-hyperpigmented skin lesions and mild, non-productive cough. She tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on nasopharyngeal swab RT-PCR. Further work-up revealed elevated anti-phospholipid antibodies, anti-nuclear antibody, and D-dimer; low Protein S activity; and evidence of peripheral arterial disease on imaging studies. She was started on peripheral vasodilators, Methotrexate, and anticoagulation. Close monitoring of the affected limbs and other organs involved was done. Control of limb ischemia was achieved after 4 months of regular Cyclophosphamide infusion. Continued multi-disciplinary care was ensured for this patient. Conclusion: There is evolving knowledge about the interplay of COVID-19 hyperinflammatory state and rheumatologic disorders. COVID-19 is thought to exacerbate cutaneous manifestations of autoimmune disorders via antigen protein mimicry and cytokine imbalance. Moreover, COVID-19 is characterized by complex hematopathologic processes that put a patient in a hypercoagulable state. Elevated D-dimer can be seen in both COVID-19 and systemic sclerosis owing to their pro-thrombotic sequela. There is scarcity of data on the association of Protein S activity with COVID-19 and systemic sclerosis. More studies need to be carried out to ultimately arrive at a consensus on thrombosis prophylaxis for patients with Scleroderma and COVID-19.

Abstract:Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can lead to many extrapulmonary manifestations. In this case series, we report on 7 patients developing secondary sclerosing cholangitis (SSC) after severe COVID-19 with intensive care treatment. Methods: Between March 2020 and November 2021, 544 patient cases with cholangitis treated at a German tertiary care centre were screened for SSC. Patients found to be suffering from SSC were assigned to COVID-19 group if SSC presented after a severe course of COVID-19 and to non-COVID-19 group if not. Peak liver parameters as well as intensive care treatment factors and data generated from liver elastography were compared between both groups. Results: We identified 7 patients who developed SSC after a severe course of COVID-19. In the same period, 4 patients developed SSC due to other causes. Mean values of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) were higher in the COVID-19 group than in the non-COVID-19 group (GGT: 2,689 U/L vs. 1,812 U/L and ALP: 1,445 U/L vs. 1,027 U/L), whereas intensive care treatment factors were comparable in both groups. Only the mean duration of mechanical ventilation was shorter in the COVID-19 group than in the non-COVID-19 group (22.1 days vs. 36.7 days). Liver elastography indicated a fast progression to liver cirrhosis with a mean liver stiffness of 17.3 kilopascals (kPa) in less than 12 weeks in the COVID-19 group. Conclusions: Our data suggest a more severe course of SSC when caused by SARS-CoV-2. Reasons for this are probably multifactorial, including a direct cytopathogenic effect of the virus. Digestion

Abstract:Abstract Background Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex and challenging autoimmune disease. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) is a novel viral agent that can cause a life-threatening respiratory disorder named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19). Association between SARS‐CoV‐2 and SLE is not clear. We reported the first case of SLE manifestation following COVID-19. Case presentation A 39-year-old Iranian/Persian man with complaints of fever, scaling on the palms of the hands and feet, lower extremity edema, and ankle swelling was referred to Kashan Rheumatology Clinic in 2020. He was infected with SARS-CoV-2 2 months ago. The patient had proteinuria and was positive for SLE laboratory tests. After one week of treatment with prednisolone (30 mg daily) and hydroxychloroquine, paresthesia, proteinuria, and edema continued. The patient was treated with pulse methylprednisolone (1000 mg for three consecutive days), gabapentin, and vitamin B (300 mg daily), which reduced paresthesia. Conclusions This is the first case of SLE manifestation following COVID-19. SARS-CoV-2 may produce autoantibodies or develop the clinical features of subclinical SLE.

This article highlights the characteristics and clinical symptoms of esophageal involvement in patients with SSc. Patients and Methods: This study was conducted between November 2022 to August 2023, including 26 already diagnosed cases of SSc in the Department of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation and Kurdistan Center for Gastroenterology and Hepatology-Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Esophageal involvement was investigated using esophageal manometry, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and 24-hour impedance-pH monitoring. Results: Females were significantly predominant ( P = 0.019) regarding the symptoms; 76.9% of the patients had heart burn, 76.9% dysphagia, 73.1% water brush, and 69.2% regurgitation. In total, 69.2% of the patients showed erosive gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD) on EGD, 76.9% had decreased lower esophageal sphincter pressure (DLESP) and decreased distal esophageal peristaltic contractions (DDEPC) on esophageal manometry, and 84.6% had reflux on pH monitoring. Raynaud's phenomenon is the most common and typically the earliest clinical manifestation of SSc. The presence of erosive GERD was found to significantly increase the risk of developing dysphagia (B = 4.725, P = 0.014, OR = 3.482) and regurgitation (B = 3.521, P = 0.006, OR = 4.030). Conclusion: It is crucial to take gender-specific considerations into account when diagnosing and managing esophageal complications in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). Additionally, employing various diagnostic assessments to detect esophageal involvement during SSc is essential. Erosive GERD has been identified as a risk factor that contributes to the development of dysphagia and regurgitation in individuals with SSc. Systemic Sclerosis Sine Scleroderma: A Time of Reappraisal

Abstract:Objective: Systemic sclerosis sine scleroderma (ssSSc), formally described in 1962, is a subset of SSc that, unlike limited cutaneous (lcSSc) and diffuse cutaneous (dcSSc) forms, lacks skin fibrosis. According to the 2013 American College of Rheumatology/European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology criteria, SSc can be diagnosed in the absence of skin thickening, even if this is expected to develop later in disease course. Driven by a fatal case of ssSSc with cardiac involvement, we analyzed published data on ssSSc prevalence and severity. Methods: A systematic literature review and qualitative synthesis of SSc cohorts with data on ssSSc were performed. Results: Thirty-five studies involving a total of 25,455 patients with SSc, published between 1976 and 2023, were identified. Although different definitions were used, the mean prevalence of ssSSc was almost 10% (range 0-23%), with the largest study reporting a cross-sectional prevalence of 13%. In 5 studies with a follow-up period of up to 9 years, reclassification of ssSSc into lcSSc or dcSSc ranged 0-28%. Interstitial lung disease, pulmonary arterial hypertension, scleroderma renal crisis, and cardiac diastolic dysfunction were present in 46% (range 9.3-59.1%), 15% (range 5.9-24.6%), 5% (range 1.6-24.6%), and 26.5% (range 1.8-40.7), respectively, of patients with ssSSc. Survival across studies was comparable to lcSSc and better than dcSSc. Conclusion: Published data on ssSSc vary widely on prevalence, clinical expression, and prognosis, partly due to underdiagnosis and misclassification. Although classification criteria should not affect appropriate management of patients, updated ssSSc subclassification criteria that takes into account time from disease onset should be considered.
Systemic Sclerosis With a Normotensive Scleroderma Renal Crisis: A Diagnostic Dilemma

Abstract:Systemic sclerosis (SSc), also called scleroderma, is an auto-immune rheumatic disease that is characterized by fibrosis of the skin and internal organs and vasculopathy. Three of the severe manifestations of the disease include a scleroderma renal crisis (SRC), pulmonary arterial hypertension, and digital ulceration. Vascular manifestations like Raynaud's phenomenon are an almost universal symptom in patients with SSc and are often the earliest manifestation of the disease. An SRC occurs in approximately 10% of all patients with scleroderma. It is characterized by malignant hypertension and progressive renal failure. However, about 10% of SRC cases present with normal blood pressure or a normotensive renal crisis. A 65-year-old man with a history of peripheral vascular disease and newly diagnosed heart failure presented to the emergency department on account of progressive discoloration of the left big toe and intermittent confusion. Initially, he was noted to be hemodynamically stable, with bluish discoloration of his left lower extremity and left big toe, which was tender to palpation with palpable distal pulses. His left toe progressively became dusky and gangrenous, necessitating ray amputation by vascular surgery. His hospital course was further complicated by worsening acute kidney injury, requiring initiation of hemodialysis, and progressive hypoxia with the transition from room air to high-flow oxygen. As part of his workup for acute kidney injury (AKI), his antinuclear antibody (ANA) was found to be positive, with high titers, as well as elevated SCl-70 IgG. Despite the initiation of hemodialysis, and post-surgical revision, he continued to deteriorate. His family opted for comfort care measures, and he died a few days later. Although SSc is a rare disease, it is associated with significant morbidity and has one of the highest mortality rates among connective tissue diseases. SSc can present with heterogeneous manifestations, mimicking several isolated organ-specific conditions. This makes the diagnosis challenging, especially early in the course of the disease. A high index of suspicion, especially in the setting of rapidly progressing multi-organ involvement without a clear cause, should prompt further evaluation of systemic sclerosis.

Abstract:Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune disease characterized by vasculopathy, immune system activation, and fibrosis of the skin and internal organs [1]. While over the recent years, the prognosis of SSc patients has greatly improved, thanks to a better understanding of the underlying pathogenetic phenomena and the arousal of targeted therapies, the disease still presents the highest morbidity and mortality among all connective tissue diseases [2]. Compared to those years when SSc renal crisis represented the leading cause of death, now in the last decades, lung involvement (both pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis) has become the primary cause of SSc-related death [3]. Therefore, clinicians involved in SSc care should be aware of the most recent evolutions in the field of SSc with particular attention to lung involvement. In fact, the early detection and the prompt treatment both of fibrotic and vascular lung disease may have fundamental impact on patients' quality of life and survival. In SSc, lung involvement is characterized by interstitial lung disease (ILD), which is due to the fibrosis of the alveolo-capillary membrane, and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which reflects the proliferative vasculopathy affecting pulmonary vessels [1,4,5]. Usually, SSc is classified according to 2013 ACR/EULAR criteria [6] and is also subsetted in a limited cutaneous (lcSSc; affecting the face, neck and distal limbs) and a diffuse cutaneous SSc (dcSSc; affecting the proximal limbs, abdomen, and chest). Both subsets are associated with specific clinical features and autoantibody positivity [7]. In this chapter, either SSc-ILD or SSc-PAH will be discussed, and, given the historical period, the clinical and prognostic data on COVID-19 in SSc patients will be also presented.

Abstract:The safety profile of COVID-19 vaccines is understudied in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). We compared short-term adverse events (AEs) 7 days following vaccination in patients with SSc vs other rheumatic (AIRDs), non-rheumatic autoimmune diseases (nrAIDs), and healthy controls (HCs). The COVID-19 Vaccination in autoimmune diseases (COVAD) self-reporting e-survey was circulated by a group of > 110 collaborators in 94 countries from March to December 2021. AEs were analyzed between different groups using regression models. Of 10,679 complete respondents [73.8% females, mean age 43 years, 53% Caucasians], 478 had SSc. 83% had completed two vaccine doses, Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2) (51%) was the most common. Minor and major AEs were reported by 81.2% and 3.3% SSc patients, respectively, and did not differ significantly with disease activity or different vaccine types, though with minor symptom differences. Frequencies of AEs were not affected by background immunosuppression, though SSc patients receiving hydroxychloroquine experienced fatigue less commonly (OR 0.4; 95% CI 0.2-0.8). Frequency of AEs and hospitalisations were similar to other AIRDs, nrAIDs, and HC except a higher risk of chills (OR 1.3; 95% CI 1.0-1.7) and fatigue (OR 1.3; 95% CI 1.0-1.6) compared to other AIRDs. COVID-19 vaccines were largely safe and well tolerated in SSc patients in the short term. Background immunosuppression and disease activity did not influence the vaccination-related short-term AEs.

Abstract:The clinical performance of 832 resin-retained bridges and splints provided in the adult fixed prosthodontic clinic of a post-graduate teaching hospital was reviewed. Recall data was available for 58.4% of cases and the median survival was 7 years and 10 months. Analysis of clinical variables influencing survival revealed that the design and retainer coverage were significant factors. The experience of the operator carrying out treatment also had a pronounced effect which was not readily explained in terms of the distribution of other significant factors. Resin-retained restorations made with minimal tooth preparation are shown to be capable of extended clinical service and their failure rarely resulted in adverse consequences for the patient. Patient satisfaction with their treatment was reportedly high.

Abstract:BACKGROUND This study presents a case of rapidly developing respiratory failure due to antisynthetase syndrome (AS) following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in a 33-year-old man diagnosed with Klinefelter syndrome (KS). CASE SUMMARY A 33-year-old man with a diagnosis of KS was admitted to the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine of a tertiary hospital in China for fever and shortness of breath 2 wk after the onset of COVID-19. Computed tomography of both lungs revealed diffuse multiple patchy heightened shadows in both lungs, accompanied by signs of partial bronchial inflation. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing of the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid suggested absence of pathogen. A biopsy specimen revealed organizing pneumonia with alveolar septal thickening. Additionally, extensive auto-antibody tests showed strong positivity for anti-SSA, anti-SSB, anti-Jo-1, and anti-Ro-52. Following multidisciplinary discussions, the patient received a final diagnosis of AS, leading to rapidly progressing respiratory failure. CONCLUSION This study underscores the clinical progression of AS-associated interstitial lung disease subsequent to viral infections such as COVID-19 in patients diagnosed with KS.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is also a disease of immune dysregulation leading to multisystem compromise. We present a case of new-onset SLE concomitantly with COVID-19 and development of antiphospholipid antibodies. An 18-year-old female that presented with hemodynamic collapse and respiratory failure, progressed to cardiac arrest, and had a pericardial tamponade drained. She then progressed to severe acute respiratory distress syndrome, severe ventricular dysfunction, and worsening renal function with proteinuria and hematuria. Further studies showed bilateral pleural effusions, positive antinuclear and antidouble-stranded DNA antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, and anticardiolipin B. C3 and C4 levels were low. SARS-Cov-2 PCR was positive after 2 negative tests. She also developed multiple deep venous thrombosis, in the setting of positive antiphospholipid antibodies and lupus anticoagulant. In terms of pathophysiology, COVID-19 is believed to cause a dysregulated cytokine response which could potentially be exacerbated by the shift in Th1 to Th2 response seen in SLE. Also, it is well documented that viral infections are an environmental factor that contributes to the development of autoimmunity; however, COVID-19 is a new entity, and it is not known if it could trigger autoimmune conditions. Additionally, it is possible that SARS-CoV-2, as it happens with other viruses, might lead to the formation of antiphospholipid antibodies, potentially contributing to the increased rates of thrombosis seen in COVID-19.

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Postacute Sequelae of COVID-19 in Adults With Systemic Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases

Abstract:Objective Incidence and manifestations of postacute sequelae of coronavirus disease 2019 (PASC) are poorly defined among immunosuppressed populations. We reported, phenotyped, and assessed risk factors for PASC in adults with systemic autoimmune diseases. Methods Persons aged ≥ 18 years with systemic autoimmune diseases were recruited into a national, prospective observational cohort of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and infection between December 2020 and April 2021. Serial surveys assessed vaccination status, SARS-CoV-2 infection incidence, and disease flares. Participants reporting SARS-CoV-2 infection received a questionnaire assessing symptom duration, severity, and quality of life (QOL) effect; PASC was defined as ≥ 1 symptom persisting for > 12 weeks. PASC syndromes were mapped by overlapping symptom domains. Characteristics were compared between participants who did vs did not report PASC. Results Among 1615 participants, 590 (36.5%) reported SARS-CoV-2 infection and were sent PASC surveys, 299 (50.7%) of whom responded > 12 weeks following the reported infection. Respondents were 91.6% female, 91.2% White, median (IQR) age was 48 (40-60) years with median (IQR) 3 (2-3) vaccine doses at time of first infection. Common diagnoses included inflammatory arthritis (38.5%) and inflammatory bowel disease (14.4%). Eighty-nine of 299 (29.8%) reported PASC, with the most reported symptom domain being neurological/psychological (83.1%); 84% reported an effect on QOL. Participants with PASC reported lower number of preceding vaccines (median [IQR] 2 [2-3] vs 3 [2-3]; P < 0.001) and more reinfections (16.9% vs 5.7%; P = 0.004). Conclusion In a large, real-world cohort, 29.8% of persons with systemic autoimmune disease reported PASC, often affecting QOL. Preceding vaccination may reduce PASC, whereas multiple infections may increase risk, supporting ongoing booster vaccine campaigns and efforts to limit breakthrough infections.

Abstract:Background: With the emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in late 2019 in Wuhan, China, liver injury in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) due to SARS-CoV-2 infection has been regularly reported in the literature. There are a growing number of publications describing the occurrence of secondary sclerosing cholangitis (SSC) after SARS-CoV-2 infection in various cases. We present a case of sudden onset SSC in a critically ill patient (SSC-CIP) following COVID-19 infection who was previously healthy. Case summary: A 33-year old female patient was admitted to our University Hospital due to increasing shortness of breath. A prior rapid antigen test showed a positive result for SARS-CoV-2. The patient had no known preexisting conditions. With rapidly increasing severe hypoxemia she required endotracheal intubation and developed the need for veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in a setting of acute respiratory distress syndrome. During the patient´s 154-d stay in the intensive care unit and other hospital wards she underwent hemodialysis and extended polypharmaceutical treatment. With increasing liver enzymes and the development of signs of cholangiopathy on magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) as well as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), the clinical setting was suggestive of SSC. At an interdisciplinary meeting, the possibility of orthotopic liver transplantation and additional kidney transplantation was discussed due to the constant need for hemodialysis. Following a deterioration in her general health and impaired respiratory function with a reduced chance of successful surgery and rehabilitation, the plan for transplantation was discarded. The patient passed away due to multiorgan failure. Conclusion: SSC-CIP seems to be a rare but serious complication in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection, of which treating physicians should be aware. Imaging with MRCP and/or ERCP seems to be indicated and a valid method for early diagnosis. Further studies on the effects of early and late SSC in (post-) COVID-19 patients needs to be performed.

Abstract:Data on short-term safety of COVID-19 vaccination in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) were explored previously in the first COVID-19 vaccination in autoimmune diseases (COVAD) survey conducted in 2021. However, delayed adverse events (ADEs) (occurring > 7 days post-vaccination) are poorly characterized in these patients with SSc. In this study, we analysed delayed COVID-19 vaccine-related ADEs among patients with SSc, other systemic autoimmune and inflammatory disorders (SAIDs) and healthy controls (HCs) using data from the second COVAD study conducted in 2022. The COVAD-2 study was a cross-sectional, patient self-reported global e-survey conducted from February to June 2022. Data on demographics, SSc/SAID disease characteristics, COVID-19 infection history, and vaccination details including delayed ADEs as defined by the Centre for Disease Control were captured and analysed. Among 17,612 respondents, 10,041 participants fully vaccinated against COVID-19 were included for analysis. Of these, 2.6% (n = 258) had SSc, 63.7% other SAIDs, and 33.7% were HCs. BNT162b2 Pfizer (69.4%) was the most administered vaccine, followed by MRNA-1273 Moderna (32.25%) and ChadOx1 nCOV-19 Oxford/AstraZeneca (12.4%) vaccines. Among patients with SSc, 18.9% reported minor, while 8.5% experienced major delayed ADEs, and 4.6% reported hospitalization. These frequencies were comparable to those of the ADEs reported by other patients with SAIDs and HCs. However, patients with SSc reported a higher frequency of difficulty in breathing than HCs [OR 2.3 (1.0-5.1), p = 0.042]. Patients with diffuse cutaneous SSc experienced minor ADEs [OR 2.1 (1.1-4.4), p = 0.036] and specifically fatigue more frequently [OR 3.9 (1.3-11.7), p = 0.015] than those with limited cutaneous SSc. Systemic sclerosis patients with concomitant myositis reported myalgia more frequently [OR 3.4 (1.1-10.7), p = 0.035], while those with thyroid disorders were more prone to report a higher frequency of joint pain [OR 5.5 (1.5-20.2), p = 0.009] and dizziness [OR 5.9 (1.3-27.6), p = 0.024] than patients with SSc alone. A diagnosis of SSc did not confer a higher risk of delayed post-COVID-19 vaccine-related ADEs overall compared with other SAIDs and HCs. However, the diffuse cutaneous phenotype and coexisting autoimmune conditions including myositis and thyroid disease may increase the risk of minor ADEs. These patients may benefit from pre-vaccination counselling, close monitoring, and early initiation of appropriate care in the post-COVID-19 vaccination period.

Abstract:The prevalences of obesity and of non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) have increased in the United States population over the past two decades, and thus diabetes preven tion has become a major concern of public health agencies such as the National Institutes of Health. Identification of individuals at risk for diabetes is an essential first step in designing and implementing intervention programs. Insulin resistance is the hallmark of the pathophysiology of NIDDM. Subjects with hyperinsulinemia, impaired glucose tolerance, or gestational diabetes are well accepted as being at high risk for diabetes. We propose that the easily identifiable skin lesion, acanthosis nigricans, is common in the major minority groups in the United States and that its presence is a surrogate for laboratory-determined hyperinsulinemia. Abstract:The amino acid sequences of various endo-N-acetyl-glucosaminidases (chitinases) have been subjected to hydrophobic cluster analysis. A domain of approximately 145 residues was found to be weakly conserved in chitinase A and B from the bacterium Serriata marcescens, in a chitinase from cucumber (Cucumis sativis) and in the endo-N-acetyl-glucosaminidase H of Streptomyces plicatus. A prediction of the putative active site region was made upon analysis of invariant acidic amino acids. On the basis of primary structure homologies, a classification into families of structurally related proteins is proposed for the enzymes hydrolyzing beta-1,4-N-acetyl-glucosamine linkages.

Abstract:Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by a tripod combining vasculopathy, fibrosis, and immune-mediated inflammatory processes. The prevalence of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in SSc varies according to the methods used to detect it, ranging from 25 to 95%. The fibrotic and vascular pulmonary manifestations of SSc, particularly ILD, are the main causes of morbidity and mortality, contributing to 35% of deaths. Although early trials were conducted with cyclophosphamide, more recent randomized controlled trials have been performed to assess the efficacy and tolerability of several medications, mostly mycophenolate, rituximab, tocilizumab, and nintedanib. Although many uncertainties remain, expert consensus is emerging to optimize the therapeutic management and to provide clinicians with evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for patients with SSc-ILD. This article provides an overview, in the light of the latest advances, of the available evidence for the diagnosis and management of SSc-ILD. Article published online: 07 May 2024 © 2024. Thieme.
