Abstract:The purpose of this article is to formulate a simplified nonlinear fractional mathematical model to illustrate the dynamics of the new coronavirus (COVID-19). Based on the infectious characteristics of COVID-19, the population is divided into five compartments: susceptible S(t), asymptomatic infection I(t), unreported symptomatic infection U(t), reported symptomatic infections W(T) and recovered R(t), collectively referred to as (SIUWR). The existence, uniqueness, boundedness, and non-negativeness of the proposed model solution are established. In addition, the basic reproduction number R 0 is calculated. All possible equilibrium points of the model are examined and their local and global stability under specific conditions is discussed. The disease-free equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable for R 0 leq1 and unstable for R 0 > 1. In addition, the endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable with respect to R 0 > 1. Perform numerical simulations using the Adams–Bashforth–Moulton-type fractional predictor–corrector PECE method to validate the analysis results and understand the effect of parameter variation on the spread of COVID-19. For numerical simulations, the behavior of the approximate solution is displayed in the form of graphs of various fractional orders. Finally, a brief conclusion about simulation on how to model transmission dynamics in social work.

Abstract:The global consequences of Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been evident by several hundreds of demises of human beings; hence such plagues are significantly imperative to predict. For this purpose, the mathematical formulation has been proved to be one of the best tools for the assessment of present circumstances and future predictions. In this article, we propose a fractional epidemic model of coronavirus (COVID-19) with vaccination effects. An arbitrary order model of COVID-19 is analyzed through three different fractional operators namely, Caputo, Atangana-Baleanu-Caputo (ABC), and Caputo-Fabrizio (CF), respectively. The fractional dynamics are composed of the interaction among the human population and the external environmental factors of infected peoples. It gives an extra description of the situation of the epidemic. Both the classical and modern approaches have been tested for the proposed model. The qualitative analysis has been checked through the Banach fixed point theory in the sense of a fractional operator. The stability concept of Hyers-Ulam idea is derived. The Newton interpolation scheme is applied for numerical solutions and by assigning values to different parameters. The numerical works in this research verified the analytical results. Finally, some important conclusions are drawn that might provide further basis for in-depth studies of such epidemics.

Abstract:One of the global problems and a number of societal challenges in the areas of social life, the economy, and international communications is COVID-19. In order to counteract the impact of sickness on society, we created a deterministic COVID-19 model in this study that uses real data to assess the impact of disease, dynamical transmission, quarantine impact, and hospitalized treatment. The model includes a generalized form of the fractal and fractional operator. This study aims to develop a fractal-fractional mathematical model suitable for the lifestyle of the Thai population facing the COVID-19 situation. The model divides the incubation period into the quarantine class and the exposed class, which later moved to the hospitalized infected class and the infected class. The fractal-fractional derivative is used to analyze the dynamics of the population in these classes, providing a more detailed understanding of the epidemic's progression and the effectiveness of control measures. The existence and uniqueness of the solution were also determined with the Lipschitz condition and fixed point theory. With the use of simulations and functional analysis tools like Ulam-Hyers, we examine the sensitivity analysis of the fractal-fractional model with respect to each parameter effect. We develop a numerical scheme for the fractal-fractional model based on Newton polynomial for computational analysis and convergence solution to steady-state points of real data COVID-19 in Thailand. The verification of the examined fractional-order model with actual COVID-19 data for Thailand demonstrates the potential of the suggested paradigm in forecasting and comprehending the dynamics of the pandemic. Furthermore, the fractal fractional-order derivative gives rise to a range of chaotic behaviors that show how the species has changed over place and time. Fractional-order epidemiological models may help predict and understand the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and provide relevant management approaches.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we consider a fractional COVID-19 epidemic model with a convex incidence rate. The Atangana–Baleanu fractional operator in the Caputo sense is taken into account. We establish the equilibrium points, basic reproduction number, and local stability at both the equilibrium points. The existence and uniqueness of the solution are proved by using Banach and Leray–Schauder alternative type theorems. For the fractional numerical simulations, we use the Toufik–Atangana scheme. Optimal control analysis is carried out to minimize the infection and maximize the susceptible people.

Abstract:Fractional-order models have been used in the study of COVID-19 to incorporate memory and hereditary properties into the systems. These models have been applied to analyze the dynamics and behavior of the novel coronavirus. Various fractional-order models have been proposed, including the SIR and SEIR models, with the addition of compartments such as asymptomatic classes and virus repositories. Overall, fractional-order models have proven to be effective in studying the dynamics and spread of COVID-19. In this paper, we propose a nonlinear fractional model employing the Atangana-Baleanu derivative to describe COVID-19. To offer a clearer perspective, our investigation incorporates two distinct quarantine stages within the population. The first quarantine class consists of individuals who have not yet contracted the virus but have chosen to self-isolate at home. The second quarantine class encompasses individuals who are infected and are undergoing quarantine in hospitals. Additionally, we introduce a vaccination class, consisting of the portion of the population that has received the COVID-19 vaccination and is now at a reduced risk of infection. Fixed point theorems are employed to prove the existence and uniqueness of the solutions. The model's threshold parameter Ro is calculated to investigate the pandemic's future dynamics. The Toufik-Atangana scheme is applied to obtain numerical solutions for the fractional model. Further, we analyzed the data to assess how vaccination impacts the spread of the virus.The model includes two novel parameters to determine the speed and effectiveness of vaccination measures. To evaluate the accuracy of our model, we simulate the graphical results of this stage and compared them with integer-order derivative. The mathematical model for COVID-19 shows that both equilibrium points are locally stable. Moreover, to gain a deeper understanding of the disease, we conduct a sensitivity analysis to examine the effect of parameters on Ro.

Abstract:Throughout the last few decades, fractional-order models have been used in many fields of science and engineering, applied mathematics, and biotechnology. Fractional-order differential equations are beneficial for incorporating memory and hereditary properties into systems. Our paper proposes an asymptomatic COVID-19 model with three delay terms [Formula: see text] and fractional-order [Formula: see text]. Multiple constant time delays are included in the model to account for the latency of infection in a vector. We study the necessary and sufficient criteria for stability of steady states and Hopf bifurcations based on the three constant time-delays, [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text]. Hopf bifurcation occurs in the addressed model at the estimated bifurcation points [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text]. The numerical simulations fit to real observations proving the effectiveness of the theoretical results. Fractional-order and time-delays successfully enhance the dynamics and strengthen the stability condition of the asymptomatic COVID-19 model.

Abstract:In this article, the mathematical model with different compartments for the transmission dynamics of coronavirus-19 disease (COVID-19) is presented under the fractional-order derivative. Some results regarding the existence of at least one solution through fixed point results are derived. Then for the concerned approximate solution, the modified Euler method for fractional-order differential equations (FODEs) is utilized. Initially, we simulate the results by using some available data for different fractional-order to show the appropriateness of the proposed method. Further, we compare our results with some reported real data against confirmed infected and death cases per day for the initial 67 days in Wuhan city.

Abstract:In the work, author's presents a very significant and important issues related to the health of mankind's. Which is extremely important to realize the complex dynamic of inflected disease. With the help of Caputo fractional derivative, We capture the epidemiological system for the transmission of Novel Coronavirus-19 Infectious Disease (nCOVID-19). We constructed the model in four compartments susceptible, exposed, infected and recovered. We obtained the conditions for existence and Ulam's type stability for proposed system by using the tools of non-linear analysis. The author's thoroughly discussed the local and global asymptotical stabilities of underling model upon the disease free, endemic equilibrium and reproductive number. We used the techniques of Laplace Adomian decomposition method for the approximate solution of consider system. Furthermore, author's interpret the dynamics of proposed system graphically via Mathematica, from which we observed that disease can be either controlled to a large extent or eliminate, if transmission rate is reduced and increase the rate of treatment.

Abstract:The new emerged infectious disease that is known the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which is a high contagious viral infection that started in December 2019 in China city Wuhan and spread very fast to the rest of the world. This infection caused million of infected cases globally and still pose an alarming situation for human lives. Pakistan in Asian countries is considered the third country with higher number of cases of coronavirus with more than 200,000. Recently, many mathematical models have been considered to better understand the coronavirus infection. Most of these models are based on classical integer-order derivative which can not capture the fading memory and crossover behavior found in many biological phenomena. Therefore, we study the coronavirus disease in this paper by exploring the dynamics of COVID-19 infection using the non-integer Caputo derivative. In the absence of vaccine or therapy, the role of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) is examined on the dynamics of theCOVID-19 outbreak in Pakistan. First, we construct the model in integer sense and then apply the fractional operator to have a generalized model. The generalized model is then used to present the detailed theoretical results. We investigate the stability of the model for the case of fractional model using a nonlinear fractional Lyapunov function of Goh-Voltera type. Furthermore, we estimate the values of parameters with the help of least square curve fitting tool for the COVID-19 data recorded in Pakistan since March 1 till June 30, 2020 and show that our considered model give an accurate prediction to the real COVID-19 statistical cases. Finally, numerical simulations are presented using estimated parameters for various values of the fractional order of the Caputo derivative. From the simulation results it is found that the fractional order provides more insights about the disease dynamics.

Abstract:Gamma globulin administered in a single dose of 1 g/kg of body weight intravenously caused prompt clinical improvement in 27 of 32 consecutive children with Kawasaki disease treated by the 12th day of illness. Response was equally good for the 20 children treated in the first week and the 12 treated in the second week. Fever and clinical signs abated within the first day after treatment, the mean white blood cell count normalized by 48 hours, and the sedimentation rate continued to be elevated for about 2 weeks, while the platelet count rose during the first 2 weeks after treatment and returned to normal approximately 1 month after treatment. Five children with incomplete relief needed more than the single dose before resolution of signs and symptoms occurred. Coronary aneurysms in 2 patients before treatment regressed by 2 weeks. No patient developed coronary aneurysms. No child had sequelae of Kawasaki disease at a follow-up of 2 to 31 months. We believe that although this was a one-arm, uncontrolled pilot study, the results suggest that this protocol provides a safe, flexible, and effective treatment for acute Kawasaki disease.

Abstract:OBJECTIVES The term tropical ataxic neuropathy (TAN) is currently used to describe several neurological syndromes attributed to toxiconutritional causes. However, TAN was initially proposed to describe a specific neurological syndrome seen predominantly among the Ijebu speaking Yorubas in south western Nigeria. In this study, the prevalence of TAN was determined in Ososa, a semiurban community in south western Nigeria described as endemic for TAN in 1969, and its neurological features were compared with Strachan's syndrome, prisoners of war neuropathy, the epidemic neuropathy in Cuba, and konzo. METHODS A census of Ososa was followed by door to door screening of all subjects aged 10 years and above with a newly designed screening instrument. Subjects who screened positive had a neurological examination, and the diagnosis of TAN was made if any two or more of bilateral optic atrophy, bilateral neurosensory deafness, sensory gait ataxia, or distal symmetric sensory polyneuropathy were present. RESULTS A total of 4583 inhabitants were registered in the census. Of these, 3428 subjects aged 10 years and above were screened. The diagnosis of TAN was made in 206 of 323 subjects who screened positive for TAN. The prevalence of TAN was 6.0%, 3.9% in males and 7.7% in females. The highest age specific prevalence was 24% in the 60–69 years age group in women. CONCLUSION The occurrence of TAN in Ososa continues at a higher prevalence than was reported 30 years ago. Its neurological features and natural history do not resemble those described for Strachan syndrome, epidemic neuropathy in Cuba, or konzo. The increasing consumption of cassava foods linked to its causation makes TAN of public health importance in Nigeria, the most populous African country.

Abstract:We proposed a new mathematical model to study the COVID-19 infection in piecewise fractional differential equations. The model was initially designed using the classical differential equations and later we extend it to the fractional case. We consider the infected cases generated at health care and formulate the model first in integer order. We extend the model into Caputo fractional differential equation and study its background mathematical results. We show that the fractional model is locally asymptotically stable when R0<1 at the disease-free case. For R0≤1, we show the global asymptotical stability of the model. We consider the infected cases in Saudi Arabia and determine the parameters of the model. We show that for the real cases, the basic reproduction is R0≈1.7372. We further extend the Caputo model into piecewise stochastic fractional differential equations and discuss the procedure for its numerical simulation. Numerical simulations for the Caputo case and piecewise models are shown in detail.

Abstract:This paper derived fractional derivatives with Atangana-Baleanu, Atangana-Toufik scheme and fractal fractional Atangana-Baleanu sense for the COVID-19 model. These are advanced techniques that provide effective results to analyze the COVID-19 outbreak. Fixed point theory is used to derive the existence and uniqueness of the fractional-order model COVID-19 model. We also proved the property of boundedness and positivity for the fractional-order model. The Atangana-Baleanu technique and Fractal fractional operator are used with the Sumudu transform to find reliable results for fractional order COVID-19 Model. The generalized Mittag-Leffler law is also used to construct the solution with the different fractional operators. Numerical simulations are performed for the developed scheme in the range of fractional order values to explain the effects of COVID-19 at different fractional values and justify the theoretical outcomes, which will be helpful to understand the outbreak of COVID-19 and for control strategies.

Abstract:Piecewise fractional-order differential operators have received more attention in recent years because they can be used to describe various evolutionary dynamical problems to investigate crossover behaviors. In this manuscript, we use the aforementioned operators to investigate a mathematical model of COVID-19. By utilizing fractional calculus, our approach aims to capture the crossover dynamics of disease spread, considering heterogeneity and transitions between epidemic phases. This research seeks to develop a framework using specialized mathematical techniques, such as the Caputo fractional derivative, with the potential to investigate the crossover dynamical behaviors of the considered epidemic model. The anticipated contribution lies in bridging fractional calculus and epidemiology, offering insights for both theoretical advancements and practical public health interventions. In order to improve our understanding of epidemic dynamics and support, we used MATLAB to simulate numerical results for a visual representation of our findings. For this interpretation, we used various fractional-order values. In addition, we also compare our simulated results with some reported results for infected and death classes to demonstrate the efficiency of our numerical method.

Abstract:In this manuscript, we have studied the dynamical behavior of a deadly COVID‐19 pandemic which has caused frustration in the human community. For this study, a new deterministic SEIHR fractional model is developed for the first time. The purpose is to perform a complete mathematical analysis and the design of an optimal control strategy for the proposed Caputo–Fabrizio fractional model. We have proved the existence and uniqueness of solutions by employing principle of mathematical induction. The positivity and the boundedness of solutions is proved using comprehensive mathematical techniques. Two main equilibrium points of the pandemic model are stated. The basic reproduction number for the model is computed using next generation technique to handle the future dynamics of the pandemic. We develop an optimal control problem to find the best controls for the quarantine and hospitalization strategies employed on exposed and infected humans, respectively. For numerical solution of the fractional model, we implemented the Adams–Bashforth method to prove the importance of order. A general fractional‐order optimal control problem and associated optimality conditions of Pontryagin type are discussed, with the goal to minimize the number of exposed and infected humans. The extremals are obtained numerically.

Abstract:The current work is of interest to introduce a detailed analysis of the novel fractional COVID-19 model. Non-local fractional operators are one of the most efficient tools in order to understand the dynamics of the disease spread. For this purpose, we intend as an attempt at investigating the fractional COVID-19 model through Caputo operator with order χ ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) . Employing the fixed point theorem, it is shown that the solutions of the proposed fractional model are determined to satisfy the existence and uniqueness conditions under the Caputo derivative. On the other hand, its iterative solutions are indicated by making use of the Laplace transform of the Caputo fractional operator. Also, we establish the stability criteria for the fractional COVID-19 model via the fixed point theorem. The invariant region in which all solutions of the fractional model under investigation are positive is determined as the non-negative hyperoctant R + 7 . Moreover, we perform the parameter estimation of the COVID-19 model by utilizing the non-linear least squares curve fitting method. The sensitivity analysis of the basic reproduction number R 0 c is carried out to determine the effects of the proposed fractional model's parameters on the spread of the disease. Numerical simulations show that all results are in good agreement with real data and all theoretical calculations about the disease.

Abstract:This research study consists of a newly proposed Atangana-Baleanu derivative for transmission dynamics of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. Taking the advantage of non-local Atangana-Baleanu fractional-derivative approach, the dynamics of the well-known COVID-19 have been examined and analyzed with the induction of various infection phases and multiple routes of transmissions. For this purpose, an attempt is made to present a novel approach that initially formulates the proposed model using classical integer-order differential equations, followed by application of the fractal fractional derivative for obtaining the fractional COVID-19 model having arbitrary order <math><mi>Ψ</mi></math> and the fractal dimension <math><mi>Ξ</mi></math> . With this motive, some basic properties of the model that include equilibria and reproduction number are presented as well. Then, the stability of the equilibrium points is examined. Furthermore, a novel numerical method is introduced based on Adams-Bashforth fractal-fractional approach for the derivation of an iterative scheme of the fractal-fractional ABC model. This in turns, has helped us to obtained detailed graphical representation for several values of fractional and fractal orders <math><mi>Ψ</mi></math> and <math><mi>Ξ</mi></math> , respectively. In the end, graphical results and numerical simulation are presented for comprehending the impacts of the different model parameters and fractional order on the disease dynamics and the control. The outcomes of this research would provide strong theoretical insights for understanding mechanism of the infectious diseases and help the worldwide practitioners in adopting controlling strategies.

Abstract:Recently, Atangana proposed new operators by combining fractional and fractal calculus. These recently proposed operators, referred to as fractal–fractional operators, have been widely used to study complex dynamics. In this paper, the COVID-19 model is considered via Atangana–Baleanu fractal-fractional operator. The Lyapunov stability for the model is derived for first and second derivative. Numerical results have developed through Lagrangian-piecewise interpolation for the different fractal–fractional operators. We develop numerical outcomes through different differential and integral fractional operators like power-law, exponential law, and Mittag-Leffler kernel. To get a better outcome of the proposed scheme, numerical simulation is made with different kernels having the memory effects with fractional parameters.

Abstract:This study explores the use of numerical simulations to model the spread of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus using fractional-order COVID-19 models and Haar wavelet collocation methods. The fractional order COVID-19 model considers various factors that affect the virus's transmission, and the Haar wavelet collocation method offers a precise and efficient solution to the fractional derivatives used in the model. The simulation results yield crucial insights into the Omicron variant's spread, providing valuable information to public health policies and strategies designed to mitigate its impact. This study marks a significant advancement in comprehending the COVID-19 pandemic's dynamics and the emergence of its variants. The COVID-19 epidemic model is reworked utilizing fractional derivatives in the Caputo sense, and the model's existence and uniqueness are established by considering fixed point theory results. Sensitivity analysis is conducted on the model to identify the parameter with the highest sensitivity. For numerical treatment and simulations, we apply the Haar wavelet collocation method. Parameter estimation for the recorded COVID-19 cases in India from 13 July 2021 to 25 August 2021 has been presented.
