Abstract:Introduction and aims: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a widespread endocrine disorder affecting females. Mechanisms underlying PCOS complicated pathology remain largely unknown, making current treatment only symptomatic. Increasing reports suggest impaired PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels are involved in cellular proliferation and metabolism-related disorders. However, rare data explored their role in PCOS. Hence, this study investigated TNF-α and pancreatic PI3K/AKT/mTOR levels in PCOS animal model and evaluated their effects on developed pancreatic deficits. Secondly; we explored the impact of nanocurcumin as powerful anti-inflammatory supplement against these developed pancreatic pathologies. Methods: PCOS was induced in rats using letrozole. Nanocurcumin was formulated to increase solubility and bioavailability of curcumin. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), zeta potential and Infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used for characterization. Nanocurcumin was orally ingested for 15 days. Findings: PCOS group exhibited significant disturbance in sex hormones, oxidative stress markers, and TNF-α levels as determined by immunoassay. Western blotting revealed significant reduction of PI3K/AKT/mTOR levels leading to impaired insulin sensitivity, decreased β cells function and mass as confirmed by HOMA assessments and immunohistochemistry. Nanocurcumin significantly improved oxidative markers, glucose indices and TNF-α levels. It reinstated PI3K/AKT/mTOR levels, alleviated insulin resistance, and retained islets integrity consequently restoring normal sex hormonal levels. Significance: To the best of our knowledge, the study is the first to report pancreatic role of PI3K/AKT/mTOR and TNF-α in PCOS and the first to demonstrate nanocurcumin promising potential against PCOS-related pancreatic molecular and histological pathologies that can indeed offer better control of the disease.
Curcumin mitigates polycystic ovary syndrome in mice by suppressing TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway activation and reducing intestinal mucosal permeability

Abstract:Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine-metabolic disorder closely associated with chronic inflammation. Curcumin, a polyphenolic lipophilic compound, has been shown to improve the intestinal mucosal barrier and reduce low-grade systemic inflammation. This study aimed to assess the effects of curcumin on attenuation of PCOS in a mouse model and to explore the underlying mechanisms involved. C57BL/6J mice were divided into 4 groups ( n = 15 per group): CON: control group, CON/CUR: CON with curcumin group, MOD: model group, MOD/CUR: MOD with curcumin group. The MOD and MOD/CUR groups were injected with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) (6 mg/100 g BW) dissolved in soybean oil to induce a PCOS-like state. After curcumin intervention (200 mg/kg) for 45 days, the mice were euthanized for analysis of various physiological and biochemical parameters. In MOD/CUR group, significant decreases in body weight (BW) ( p = 0.0254), testosterone (T) levels ( p = 0.0052), luteinizing hormone (LH) levels ( p = 0.0438), and the LH/follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) ( p = 0.0271) levels were observed, while estradiol (E2) ( p = 0.0415) level and insulin sensitivity ( p = 0.0441) were increased. Histological examination (HE) staining of ovarian and colon tissues showed that curcumin ameliorated both PCOS-associated morphological changes and colon tissue pathology. Western blot and immunohistochemistry analyses of colon tissues revealed increased levels of tight junction proteins, ZO-1 (Western blot, p = 0.0360; immunohistochemistry, p = 0.0273) and occluding (Western blot, p = 0.0189; immunohistochemistry, p = 0.0224) in the MOD/CUR group. Additionally, inflammatory indicators from plasma and ovary, including IL-17 A (plasma, p = 0.0120; ovary, p = 0.0414), IL-6 (plasma, p = 0.0344; ovary, p = 0.0379), TNF-α (plasma, p = 0.0078; ovary, p = 0.0488), and lipopolysaccharides (LPS) (plasma, p = 0.0144), were decreased, while IL-10 (plasma, p = 0.0270; ovary, p = 0.0267) was increased in MOD/CUR group. The levels of NF-κB p65 ( p = 0.0229), TLR-4 ( p = 0.0462) and MyD88 ( p = 0.0152) in ovarian tissues were significantly increased in MOD/CUR group. Our results revealed that curcumin alleviates PCOS by inhibiting TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway activation and reducing intestinal mucosal permeability. These findings suggest that curcumin may provide a potential clinical approach for managing PCOS.

Nanocurcumin combined with insulin alleviates diabetic kidney disease through P38/P53 signaling axis

Abstract:Treatments for diabetic kidney disease (DKD) mainly focus on managing hyperglycemia and hypertension, but emerging evidence suggests that inflammation also plays a role in the pathogenesis of DKD. This 10-week study evaluated the efficacy of daily oral nanoparticulate-curcumin (nCUR) together with long-acting insulin (INS) to treat DKD in a rodent model. Diabetic rats were dosed with unformulated CUR alone, nCUR alone or together with INS, or INS alone. The progression of diabetes was reflected by increases in plasma fructosamine, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, bilirubin, ALP, and decrease in albumin and globulins. These aberrancies were remedied by nCUR+INS or INS but not by CUR or nCUR. Kidney histopathological results revealed additional abnormalities characteristic of DKD, such as basement membrane thickening, tubular atrophy, and podocyte cytoskeletal impairment. nCUR and nCUR+INS mitigated these lesions, while CUR and INS alone were far less effective, if not ineffective. To elucidate how our treatments modulated inflammatory signaling in the liver and kidney, we identified hyperactivation of P38 (MAPK) and P53 with INS and CUR, whereas nCUR and nCUR+INS deactivated both targets. Similarly, the latter interventions led to significant downregulation of renal NLRP3, IL-1β, NF-ĸB, Casp3, and MAPK8 mRNA, indicating a normalization of inflammasome and apoptotic pathways. Thus, we show therapies that reduce both hyperglycemia and inflammation may offer better management of diabetes and its complications.

Abstract:The immune system is closely associated with the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Macrophages are one of the important immune cell types in the ovarian proinflammatory microenvironment, and ameliorate the inflammatory status mainly through M2 phenotype polarization during PCOS. Current therapeutic approaches lack efficacy and immunomodulatory capacity, and a new therapeutic method is needed to prevent inflammation and alleviate PCOS. Here, octahedral nanoceria nanoparticles with powerful antioxidative ability were bonded to the anti-inflammatory drug resveratrol (CeO 2 @RSV), which demonstrates a crucial strategy that involves anti-inflammatory and antioxidative efficacy, thereby facilitating the proliferation of granulosa cells during PCOS. Notably, our nanoparticles were demonstrated to possess potent therapeutic efficacy via anti-inflammatory activities and effectively alleviated endocrine dysfunction, inflammation and ovarian injury in a dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)-induced PCOS mouse model. Collectively, this study revealed the tremendous potential of the newly developed nanoparticles in ameliorating the proinflammatory microenvironment and promoting the function of granulosa cells, representing the first attempt to treat PCOS by using CeO 2 @RSV nanoparticles and providing new insights in combating clinical PCOS.

Abstract:Purpose: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrinopathies affecting women of reproductive age and leads to metabolic disorders and infertility. The present study was conducted to investigate the therapeutic effects of curcumin (Cur) encapsulated arginine (Arg) and N-acetyl histidine (NAcHis) modified chitosan (Arg-CS-NAcHis/Cur) nanoparticles (NPs). Methods: In this study, amphiphilic chitosan (CS) conjugate was developed by modification with hydrophilic arginine (Arg) and hydrophobic N-acetyl histidine (NAcHis) group (Arg-CS-NAcHis). The synthesized conjugate was well characterized by FTIR and NMR studies. Self-assembled nanoparticles based on the synthesized conjugate were developed by simple sonication method and characterized for the physicochemical properties of zeta potential, particle size and drug encapsulation. Next, in vitro drug release, cytotoxicity, and cellular uptake studies of the NPs were evaluated. Finally, the developed nanoparticles were examined for their therapeutic potential against estradiol valerate (EV) induced PCOS rats by evaluating hormone level changes and ovarian morphology. Results: The results showed that zeta potential of the nanoparticles was 39.8±2.52 mV and the average size was 200 nm. The in vitro drug release profile showed sustained release pattern. Cytotoxicity and cellular uptake studies also showed preferential effectiveness than free curcumin. Both the biochemical and histopathological studies showed positive effects in reverting the symptoms of PCOS rats to normalcy. Conclusion: Curcumin encapsulated arginine and N-acetyl histidine modified chitosan (Arg-CS-NAcHis/Cur) nanoparticles have been successfully developed. The present study suggested that treatment of the nanoparticles might reverse many of the PCOS symptoms. Therefore, these nanoparticles might be used as promising new candidate for delivery of curcumin to treat PCOS.

Abstract:This study explored the possible connection between the insulin resistance-targeting protein adipokine lipocalin-2 (LCN-2) and NF-κB signaling pathway in the inflammatory microenvironment in PCOS-IR model rats to determine the pharmacological mechanism of modified Cangfu Daotan decoction (MCDD) intervention for PCOS-IR. We used a high-fat diet (42 days) combined with letrozole (1 mg/kg/day, 42 days) to establish a PCOS-IR rat model. From the third week after modeling, the rats were given continuous administration of MCDD (high dose with 31.68 g/kg, medium dose with 15.84 g/kg, and low dose with 7.92 g/kg) for 28 days. Serum, ovarian tissue, liver, and adipose tissue were collected after the last gavage. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, Masson staining, qRT-PCR, and Western blot experiments were performed to detect various indicators. Our results showed that MCDD could reduce body weight and abdominal fat weight; restore normal estrous cycle and ovarian function; alleviate fatty liver; regulate HOMA-IR and OGTT index; reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, LCN-2 level, and gene expression; and regulate the insulin signal transduction and NF-κB pathways in PCOS-IR rats. Thus, MCDD may play a role in improving ovarian function in PCOS-IR rats by downregulating NF-κB/LCN-2 proteins and upregulating the gene expression of Insr/Irs-1/Glut4 in the insulin signaling pathway in the inflammatory environment.

Abstract:Objective: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are gene expression regulators. Altered miRNA levels are associated with diabetes, insulin resistance, and inflammation. Insulin resistance and inflammation are both features of Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The aim of this study was first to assess differences in selected miRNAs (miR-146a, miR-155, miR-320, miR-370, miR-486), involved in insulin sensitivity regulation and inflammation, in women with or without PCOS. Second, to investigate relationships among these miRNAs, insulin, High mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), and IL-6 in follicular fluid (FF), serum 17-beta estradiol (E2), and the number of dominant follicles.Methods: Thirty PCOS and thirty-six non-PCOS women undergoing in vitro fertilization were enrolled. RNA from granulosa cells (GC) and FF was extracted and the specific miRNAs were evaluated using qRT-PCR. HMGB1, insulin, and IL-6 in FF, and serum E2 were assayed using specific kits.Results: MiR-146a, miR-155, miR-486 were upregulated and miR-320 and miR-370 were downregulated in GC from the PCOS patients. In FF, miR-146a, miR-155, and miR-486 showed lower levels in PCOS, whereas miR-320 and miR-370 showed an opposite trend but no significant changes were observed. These miRNAs showed relationships with Body Mass Index (BMI), age, E2, number of dominant follicles, insulin, and HMGB1.Conclusion: In conclusion, the miRNAs analyzed showed changes in PCOS ovaries and had relationships with indices of inflammation and insulin sensitivity within the ovary, providing evidence for new regulatory mechanisms.

Abstract:Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) occurs during the reproductive period in women and is characterized by reproductive, endocrine, and metabolic disorders. Androgen plays a decisive role in its pathogenesis due to the interaction between hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance, which might be improved by selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs). The present study aimed to clarify the effect of SeNPs on androgen synthesis and action in the PCOS model and the resulting effect on ovarian function. Fifty-five 7-week-old female albino rats (90–105 g) were divided equally into five groups: control (C), fed a standard diet for 11 weeks; high-fat diet (HFD) group, fed HFD for 11 weeks; HFD and letrozole (L) (HFD + L), fed HFD for 11 weeks and administrated orally with L, at a daily dose of 1 mg/kg BW, for three weeks from the 7th to 9th week of the trial; HFD + L + 0.1SeNPs and HFD + L + 0.2SeNPs groups, treated the same as HFD + L group and orally gavaged SeNPs at daily doses of 0.1 and 0.2 mg/kg BW, respectively, during the last 14 day of the experiment. Daily determination of estrous cycle was performed, and at the end of the experimental period, BMI, serum glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR, lipid profile, sex hormones, TNF-α, IL6, oxidative stress biomarkers, ovarian mRNA expression of different proteins and enzymes involved in steroidogenesis, pathological examination, and immunohistochemical staining for androgen receptor (AR) were evaluated. Treatment of SeNPs restored estrous cyclicity, decreased BMI, and insulin resistance, improved dyslipidemia, reduced serum testosterone, and improved ovarian histopathology in PCOS rats. Furthermore, the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant impacts of SeNPs were remarkably noticed. Administration of SeNPs decreased androgen synthesis and expression of ovarian AR protein by decreasing the mRNA expression of STAR, Cyp11A1, Cyp17A1, and HSD17B3 and increasing the expression of Cyp19α1 . Conclusively, SeNPs decreased androgen synthesis and blocked the vicious circle initiated by excessive androgen secretion via decreased AR expression. Thus, it may effectively treat PCOS cases by eliminating its reproductive, endocrine, and metabolic dysfunctions.

Abstract:Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) affects many women of reproductive age and is marked by hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and oxidative stress. Traditional treatments often fall short, highlighting the need for innovative solutions. Nanotechnology offers promise, utilizing nanoparticles (NPs) unique properties like high surface area and targeted delivery. NPs are essential for biological system absorption and long-term impacts. NPs enter the circulation in endosomes after being absorbed via the endothelium. Encapsulating bioactive compounds reduces exposure to enterocyte metabolizing enzymes and preserves their therapeutic effectiveness. Smaller particles pass epithelial cell layers more efficiently, improving bloodstream absorption. After cellular absorption, nanoparticles slowly release bioactive chemicals via endocytosis to maintain therapeutic levels. This review explores the NPs absorption, safety profile and potential of various NPs, including silver (Ag), zinc oxide (ZnO), selenium (Se), chitosan, carbon (C), and copper (Cu), in managing PCOS. Ag-NPs modulate nitric oxide and hormones, reducing ovarian cysts and inflammation. ZnO NPs enhance insulin sensitivity and estradiol production with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Se NPs provide potent antioxidant capacity and hormonal balance, while chitosan NPs improve drug delivery. Carbon NPs selectively increase follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and Cu NPs enhance ovarian cell viability and steroid secretion. Future research should focus on optimizing NP design and conducting in vivo studies and clinical trials to establish efficacy and safety, potentially transforming PCOS treatment. Abstract:Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a disease in which endocrine metabolic abnormalities coexist with reproductive system abnormalities, with the main clinical manifestations including abnormal menstruation, hirsutism, acne, infertility, and obesity, and it is also a high risk for the development of many pregnancy complications, gynecological malignancies and other diseases. Therefore, timely intervention to prevent the progression of PCOS is of great significance for improving the quality of life of most female patients. Insulin resistance (IR) is one of the most common endocrine disorders in PCOS patients, with approximately 75% of PCOS patients experiencing varying degrees of IR. It is now believed that it is mainly related to the PI3K signaling pathway. The role of autophagy and apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells (GCs) in the pathogenesis of PCOS has also been gradually verified in recent years. Coincidentally, it also seems to be associated with the PI3K signaling pathway. Our aim is to review these relevant studies, to explore the association between the IR, cellular autophagy and apoptosis in PCOS patients and the PI3K pathway. We summarize some of the drug studies that have improved PCOS as well. We have also found that proteomics holds great promise in exploring the pathogenesis of PCOS, and we have published our views on this.

Abstract:Paleoarchaic (11.5–8.0 ka) occupants of the Great Basin encountered numerous lithic sources as they moved across foraging territories. Source provenance and lithic technologic analyses applied to the tools manufactured from these source materials elucidate several aspects of mobility, including the geographic scale of material conveyance and extent and possible routes of population movement. This research indicates that central Great Basin groups traversed large subsistence territories, extending more than 400 km from north to south, with mobility tactics probably keyed to the distribution of resource-rich wetlands. Changes in source representation parallel warming and drying trends, suggesting that Paleoarchaic foraging ranges shifted as wetlands diminished after about 9.5–8.5 ka.

Abstract:Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) has a series of reproductive and metabolic consequences. Although the link between PCOS, IR, and obesity, their impact on the pathogenesis of PCOS has yet to be determined. Dysfunction of PI3K/AKT pathway has been reported as the main cause of IR in PCOS. This study purposed to explore the effects of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) alone and combined with metformin (MET) in a PCOS-IR rat model. After 3 weeks of treatment with SeNPs and/or MET, biochemical analysis of glycemic & lipid profiles, and serum reproductive hormones was performed. Inflammatory, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction markers were determined colormetrically. The expression of PI3K and Akt genes were evaluated by Real-time PCR. Histopathological examination and Immunohistochemical analysis of Ki-67 expression were performed. The results showed that treatment with SeNPs and/or MET significantly attenuated insulin sensitivity, lipid profile, sex hormones levels, inflammatory, oxidative stress and mitochondrial functions markers. Additionally, PI3K and Akt genes expression were significantly upregulated with improved ovarian histopathological changes. Combined SeNPs and MET therapy could be potential therapeutic agent for PCOS-IR model via modulation of the PI3K/Akt pathway, enhancing anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties and altered mitochondrial functions. The mechanism of curcumin to protect mouse ovaries from oxidative damage by regulating AMPK/mTOR mediated autophagy

Abstract:Background Oxidative stress is considered the main cause of granulosa cell apoptosis in ovarian disease. Curcumin has various biological roles, but its potential role in protecting granulosa cells from oxidative damage remains unidentified. Purpose The study revealed the protective effect of curcumin on granulosa cell survival under oxidative stress, and explored its mode of action. Study design The protective effect of curcumin on oxidative stress-induced ovarian cell apoptosis was evaluated in vivo and in vitro , and the role of autophagy and AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway in this process was also demonstrated. Methods First, mice were injected to 3-nitropropionic acid (3-NPA, 20 mg/kg/day) for 14 consecutive days to establish the ovarian oxidative stress model, at same time, curcumin (50, 100, 200 mg/kg/day) was given orally. Thereafter, functional changes, cell apoptosis, and autophagy in ovarian tissue were evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin staining, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, western blotting, TUNEL assays, and transmission electron microscopy. Finally, oxidative stress model of granulosa cells was established with H 2 O 2 in vitro and treated with curcumin. The underlying mechanisms of curcumin to protect the apoptosis under oxidative stress in vitro were determined using western blotting and TUNEL assays. Results In our study, after curcumin treatment, the mouse ovarian function disorder under 3-nitropropionic acid-induced oxidative stress recovered significantly, and ovarian cell apoptosis decreased. H 2 O 2 induced granulosa cell apoptosis in vitro , and curcumin antagonized this process. Autophagy contributes to tissue and cell survival under stress. We therefore examined the role of autophagy in this process. According to the in vivo and in vitro results, curcumin restored autophagy under oxidative stress. The autophagy inhibitor (chloroquine) exhibited the same effect as curcumin, whereas the autophagy activator (rapamycin) antagonized the effect of curcumin. In addition, the study found that the AMPK/mTOR pathway plays a crucial role in curcumin- mediated autophagy to protect against oxidative stress-induced apoptosis. Conclusion Our findings for the first time systematically revealed a new mechanism through which curcumin protects ovarian granulosa cells from oxidative stress-induced damage through AMPK/mTOR-mediated autophagy and suggested that it can be a new therapeutic direction for female ovarian diseases.

Abstract:Oxidative stress and inflammation remain the major complications implicated in the development and progression of metabolic complications, including obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D) and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). In fact, due to their abundant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, there is a general interest in understanding the therapeutic effects of some major food-derived bioactive compounds like curcumin against diverse metabolic diseases. Hence, a systematic search, through prominent online databases such as MEDLINE, Scopus, and Google Scholar was done focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) reporting on the impact of curcumin supplementation in individuals with diverse metabolic complications, including obesity, T2D and NAFLD. Summarized findings suggest that curcumin supplementation can significantly reduce blood glucose and triglycerides levels, including markers of liver function like alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in patients with T2D and NAFLD. Importantly, this effect was consistent with the reduction of predominant markers of oxidative stress and inflammation, such as the levels of malonaldehyde (MDA), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in these patients. Although RCTs suggest that curcumin is beneficial in ameliorating some metabolic complications, future research is still necessary to enhance its absorption and bioavailability profile, while also optimizing the most effective therapeutic doses.

Abstract:Healthcare professionals worldwide have expressed concern over infections by extended-spectrum ß-lactamase (ESBL) and metallo-ß-lactamase (MBL)-producing bacteria. We evaluated the prevalence of ESBL- and MBL-producing Escherichia coli (E. coli) isolated from community-acquired urinary tract infections (UTIs) and their antibiotic-resistance profiles at 3 private laboratories in Tehran, Iran. E. coli isolates were mostly susceptible to meropenem (90.4%) and imipenem (90.0%), followed by amikacin (89.0%) and gentamicin (84.7%). Moreover, we detected that, of the E. coli isolates, 67 (22.3%) were ESBL producers and 21 (7.0%) of E. coli isolates were MBL positive via the imipenem-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) combined disc test. This report is the first, to our knowledge, on the prevalence of MBL-producing uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) strains in Iran. The antibiotic resistance of E. coli isolates revealed that 122 (40.7%) were multidrug resistant. The high number of antibiotic-resistant and ß-lactamase-producing UPEC strains necessitates further attention and consideration, particularly MBL-producing strains.
Effects of Microrna-320 Overexpression on PI3K/Akt in Ovarian Tissue and Serum FINS and HOMA-IR Levels in Rats with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract:The objective of this study is to examine the impact of microRNA-320 on the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B signaling pathway in ovarian tissue and serum fasting serum insulin levels and homeostasis model assessment of insulin in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome. A total of forty-eight female Westar rats, characterized by their clean-grade health status, were allocated into three groups; Control, model, and microRNA-320 overexpression. Each group consisted of sixteen rats. In comparison to the control group, the model group exhibited elevated levels of fasting serum insulin levels, fasting blood glucose, homeostasis model assessment of insulin, testosterone, estradiol, and luteinizing hormone, while the level of follicle-stimulating hormone was reduced. Conversely, when compared to the model group, the microRNA-320 overexpression group demonstrated increased serum levels of testosterone, estradiol, and luteinizing hormone, accompanied by a decrease in follicle-stimulating hormone level. The microRNA-320 overexpression group exhibited a significantly greater quantity of small follicles and atresia follicles compared to the model group, while the presence of granular cell layer and corpus luteum was not observed. In comparison to the control group, the expression levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase, protein kinase B, glucose transporter 4, forkhead box O3, and p27 in the ovarian tissue of the model group exhibited a significant decrease. Furthermore, when compared to the model group, the expression levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase, protein kinase B, glucose transporter 4, forkhead box O3, and p27 in the ovarian tissue of the microRNA-320 overexpression group also demonstrated a significant decrease. Overexpression of microRNA-320 can significantly inhibit the expression of phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B signaling pathway protein in ovarian tissue of polycystic ovary syndrome rats, and up-regulate the serum levels of fasting serum insulin levels and homeostasis model assessment of insulin.
